Sara made a point of not taking up space when it was needed by other paying customers, but the cafe hit a lull after its morning rush. That, combined with the fact that she ordered half a dozen donuts and a black coffee, and the owner didn’t seem to mind her sitting there with her laptop so that she had access to wi-fi. However, at the sound of a familiar voice, she quickly closed the heavily-encrypted (thank you, Felicity) device, deadpanning as she looked up at him, “Porn.” Then she was munching on one of her remaining donuts, chewing and swallowing before adding, “So is this another one of your super powers? Stalking people?”
@birdonawiresara
"I didn't ask." Elijah answered with a small smile ticking up the corners of his lips. When Sara asked if this was another one of his superpowers, he shrugged. "I passed here a few hours ago and you were sitting in that exact same spot. Looking at that infernal device." He had never liked computers and since he could know everything he needed without using the internet, he avoided them if he was able to. He gestured towards the seat across from her. "May I?" Elijah asked, waiting for her to reply, like he would for any other. Then he pointed to the laptop which she had closed. "You've been doing research about me as well." He wasn't asking. "Have you come to a conclusion?"

Kotoko and her underground recording studio.
The wolf's eye that appears at the beginning resembles a recording lens or camera.
This is probably why the focus is on one eye as well despite us seeing that the wolf does have two in other instances. Since cameras tend to only have one lens. The wolf's eye could also flash on screen to signify that Kotoko is currently recording. We do not see the tripod set up to the side at the beginning,
Despite seeing it prominently being displayed later. That along with Kotoko's behavior during the opening can suggest she is currently recording something. Explaining why even though we are shown such a wide shot the tripod is nowhere in sight. If it is being used to record, there's no way for it to also be recorded.
This could also be why the beginning has a vague grainy repetitive line going over it. Something we see used to indicate filming in Half before but since the equipment she's using is more advanced it's more subtle almost looking to be rain. It very well could be the shadow of rain being filtered in through those very narrow basement windows, but it covers areas that light doesn't reach as well.
We'll go into why this mirroring rain matters a bit later.
Her already recording is something that appears to line up with the placement of the tripod as we see it later.
As it is set further back off to the right side as not to block the exit of the basement as we can see a sidewall off to the left side of the tripod. There is a thin cord running up and through the tripod as well signifying something is or has been hooked up to it.
Also, we are never fully shown what Kotoko is doing on the computer within this scene as the screen is whited out. One of the tricks we see prominently used in After Pain in order to omit information. Even though the scenes preceding these ones imply that she is still scouring for information online.
The computer remains obscured in this way throughout this scene, we are not given a view of what she is looking over, shown other article snippets or even a good look at what is on her desk, something we once again do get later.
After this she walks over to her board leaving the computer behind her with it clearly still on.
Making it possible that Kotoko was not searching for information at this time but uploading something to the computer that was taking a minute.
There are multiple cords hanging from the ceiling of this basement room. That has,
Sink
Ladder
Storage Shelf
Tripod
Animal pelt rug
Computer
Printer & Cable Reel
Wi-fi Spot, keyboard, mouse, sticky notes, water bottles, supplements, and one unidentified item.
Sadly, I have no idea what that black circle with the white in the middle of it between the bottle and sticky notes is.
Oh and also the,
Cables
Rigged up throughout the entirety of the room.
I've been discussing Kotoko a lot over the past few days. Looking over multiple aspects of her case and you know what I'm just gonna put it out there.
In the news article reporting on the murder incidents caused by suspect A the guy we definitely know was killed by Kotoko states,
"10 murders committed over the course of two years."
It's not a stretch to believe that over the course of those two years other things may have happened. This is what I believe happened.
The two twenty something's involved in the snatch and grab outside of that mall were more than likely Kotoko and the guy we see her attack at the end of Harrow. This is something alluded to through the lyrics of Harrow and the statements within the article translation I was sent recently.
"Stained emotions, what is winning or losing feeding on food so I don’t burn out."
We hear this line right before Kotoko looks down this road where the hit and run occurred.
The translation states this about the snatch and grabbers-
"The suspects have admitted to the crime during police interrogation, stating that they "sold the stolen items to a brand item purchasing store, and used all the cash obtained there for food and drink expenses." It has also been reported that the suspects have a prior record of theft."
I believe the starting point of all this very well may have been the snatch and grab. During which the hit and run occurred as well. As the male perpetrator was speeding off. Which is why we hear this line before Kotoko looks over the area where the hit and run happened.
At the time Kotoko got in the car and this guy sped off during that incident the hit and run occurred as well. This may be what Kotoko is paying the reporter for. To cover up that story something that is implied to have happened with the hit and run when it finally is reported on. Though she could have been asking for the removal of their faces in the article on the snatch and grab.
This may be why the snatch and grab article is ripped when we see it on her board to remove her own picture from it.
Chances are Kotoko had been working with the person she killed up until the point she killed them. This is probably the reason she didn't intervene when they were clearly abducting a child. Because she was either keeping watch for actual witnesses or attempting to get incriminating photos of her future victim before she killed him and the news about the murders came out. Just to cover her own ass.
Isn't it sort of funny how when we see him bringing the girl in she has no visible injuries? But! When Kotoko comes back later she does? But he could have injured her over that course of time though. True but... Isn't it even weirder that when she burst through the door the person, we're told committed this heinous crime through news articles is just standing there doing nothing.
He doesn't jump back in shock from Kotoko being there, react at her bursting in the door with surprise or fear, doesn't make a move to attack her, isn't actively in the middle of attacking the child even though this would be a great time to show us him like doing that, hell he isn't even visibly armed! The hammer is laying at the side of his shoe.
Then when we get the first allusion of him attacking these kids it's clearly not him doing that-
If one were to just look at his shadow the thing most centered in this frame, then they'd wrongfully assume he's attacking the child. However, if you look at his actual body and not his shadow which has just fucking begun living on Peter Pan logic- One would quickly see something is very wrong here.
Even though he is facing and swinging the hammer forward this dude's shadow is swinging it to the side!
All the while wearing what should be a very familiar smile at this point-
Remember that rain tidbit at the beginning it could have been put there to allude to the ending of Harrow. As every song follows a certain structure. From how Harrow is structured it seems to be a series of reminiscing at points having moments where Kotoko reaches certain locations that bring her thoughts back to events that have previously unfolded. Very similar to how Muu is walking down memory lane in After Pain to pick an easy example or how Haruka goes over events in Weakness.
This is why before Harrow ends; we are pulled back to a visual that explicitly calls back to how it began.
Back to the guy she killed- This is why instead of him being dead in that enclosed space at the end of Harrow he's managed to get out of that room and into a more open area of the warehouse. Because he used to the mallet to fight Kotoko back before attempting to flee.
This is why Kotoko flashes back to scenes she certainly has no business knowing. Unless, she was deeply involved with the actual crimes. Flashes of victims who aren't even currently there.
This is why even though she doesn't come in wearing it her fucking hat is on the floor of the warehouse!
Her hood is still up in this shot, but it falls back a little after this. At which point we see she's not wearing the hat, so this is probably her hat on the floor cause this guy didn't wear one the whole video. So, why is her hat already on the floor of this warehouse? Did she change clothes here? That raises more questions.
In the middle of their fight did she call for a timeout and placed it down gently. I very much doubt that but that is her hat in this warehouse. Though it is really convenient for her. Because now she can just pick it up after she kills this guy. Something we see her doing in the third anniversary art funnily enough.
Then just call the police. Maybe even switch back into her civilian attire to do so. I mean if her hats here why not her other jacket and pants too?
Kotoko's just like whelp back to my civilian attire so I can call the proper authorities for this situation.
Oh yeah, the pelt at the end of Harrow on Kotoko's chair most likely does not represent her by the way.
There are two, the one on the ground that is a darkish color and the smaller white one on the chair. However, when the wolf that represents Kotoko appears-
The one on the ground vanishes as it did before at the beginning. Guess who was wearing white though-
"Every time death comes the soul moves forward."

So, this was a dream I had YEARS ago. I believe I was around 18 at the time, and we were living out of my van for a short while (we lost everything at the time so it was our only choice). It was also the height of when I binge-watched Markiplier and Jackscepticeye, and this dream happened around the time that Antiscepticeye made his first canon appearance on Sean's channel.
On this day, we were in the library parking lot at night (keep in mind this lot is small and we stayed in the van just to use the place's free wi-fi). As we were out there, I had fallen asleep and had a strange dream.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
.: DREAM :.
I was by myself at this large scale convention, and at some point I went up to get Jacks autograph. I got it, then went to get Mark's (I remember I was using a regular notebook for this). I asked if I could get a picture of him and Jack together, but Mark looked at me confused...he had no idea who Jack was. I then corrected myself, saying Sean (maybe he was just confused that I called Sean by his online name). But still, he had NO idea who Sean/Jack was. This got me worried, and I decided to go back to the stall where Jack was...but it wasn't there. Jack was not there.
As I went around asking others about Jack/Sean, this lady (she was wearing a black suit and had long white hair) comes up to me and basically tells me to stop looking...to forget about him completely, and move on with my life. I get a bad feeling, so obviously I stop looking but I don't forget anything. As the day turns into night, I'm going back home (apparently the convention was in my hometown so the drive wasn't too far) when I spot something...at a nearby closed store, I see Jack/Sean hopping behind some boxes to hide himself.
I go up to him, saying I'm not dangerous...he looked so frazzled and scared, like he was running from a monster or serial killer. After he calms down a bit, he explains everything - he met the same lady before, who was talking to him about the whole Jack/Anti thing. Apparently, this was a supposed threat on reality (kind of like an SCP situation I guess) and so to stop Anti they had to kill Jack...which meant killing Sean. His entire existence was erased, and now he was on the run from the lady.
As we talk, the police come up behind me as Sean goes back into hiding.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
#dream journal#fanfic ideas#markiplier#jackscepticeye#antiscepticeye#I wanted to make this into a fanfic but I chickened out at the time#now I may end up just writing it as a one-shot fanfic#it'll be on my quotev if I do post it#for this I will say that Jack and Sean are in fact two separate entities#just to add less confusion on what I'm talking about here#would anyone wanna see this as a fanfic?

How To Choose The Perfect LED Track Light For Any Room
For people in Singapore at the present time, there are plenty of chic home lighting fixtures that are energy efficient as well. Two of the most sought after types are LED track lights and LED wall lights, which can focus on areas or particular walls, respectively. Here you will find information on how these lights can be useful and what type of lighting they represent.
LED Track Light means individual opaque lamps placed in a metal slot installed on the ceiling or on the wall. Subsequently, individual spotlights can be set along the track and fitted in various positions to concentrate light where required. Track heads are available in many styles including adjustable spots, pendants and wall washers among others Control is also possible in various ways – most systems include dimmers while smart options can be controlled using Wi-Fi.
A LED Track Light provides the option of illuminating artistic works, casting soft light over dining tables or just plain excitement to any setting. But with the large sized transformers no longer in use track lights seem to belong to a younger sleeker generation. That’s why we see many of them in HDBs and condos today. LiteUnite for instance has aluminium tracks produced to order and come with spotlights in white, black or silver to blend with most interiors.
Like track systems, LED Wall Light Singapore is perfect to provide directional lighting. Up-down lights and spread lights can beautify exterior or interior walls if washed by wall sconces. Go to heritage precincts such as Joo Chiat one and you will realise that the wall lights or bulbs light the traditional shop houses. LED models are rather stylish, so they can be used for brightening the exterior or courtyard walls of the modern house as well.
Visit LiteUnite’s options of shape or flowing forms like the Aros lamps or Hedra lights. These are mainly editorial-style lights, which have been made from aluminium so they can spread light across walls in the best manner.
Thus LED tracks and wall lights are well suited for spot illumination or diffuse wall lighting. Modernised, flexible and efficient, they will be ideal for beautifying and illuminating your Singapore house.

Best in Show Blues: A Jayla Johnson Job
This was my second-round entry to the NYC Midnight Flash Fiction Challenge. The prompt was a crime caper, set in a surveillance van, featuring a dog whistle. Unfortunately, this one didn't place, and I was eliminated. I can understand why; in order to advance I would have needed to place 4th place or better in my division, and this story just plain wasn't as good as my first entry.
All the same, I think I churned out a very cute story that I'm very proud of. Also, I found a way to work in a shoutout to my oldest friend and that's always a win. I hope you like it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We’re in my surveillance van staking out the Ossining, NY 24th annual dog show with a plan to steal a dog. Well, technically, it was my older brother Josh’s work van. But Josh let me and Rashad put in a Wi-Fi hotspot.
“Alright, M. Tell me the plan one more time.”
Mikayleigh and I were friends in kindergarten, but we lost touch. Our interests have diverged: I was into goth music and anime. She was into pink graphic tees with dogs on them. And she drinks tonic water from a can like it’s La Croix. Cringe.
She sipped her tonic water. “Why?”
“Because it’s your first job, and I’m not sure you’re ready.”
“Why aren’t you going in with me if you’re so worried?”
“Because Monty knows me and Rashad, and knows we like to steal from jerks like him.” I said.
She rolled her eyes.
Rashad, my cousin and best friend, said, “Listen, do you remember in the eighth grade, when someone stole the school mascot, but then the day before the big game he just turned back up like magic?”
“Yeah.” M said.
“We got him back. And Jayla planned the whole job. She’s a pro.”
“Fine. Step one, Josh and I go into the dog show.”
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mikayleigh and Josh walked across the convention floor of the dog show in t-shirts that said “Zoomin’ Groomin’ Pet Grooming.”
Rashad and I sat in the van on comms. Through Mikayleigh’s airpods, I could hear the din of dogs barking.
“Remember, the dog's name is “Biggie”. White Boston Terrier with black spots.” I said.
“Yes, I know.” She said.
She took another gulp of tonic water. “I don’t know how you drink that gross stuff.”
“Quinine prevents malaria.” She said. “Wait, is that him?”
“Describe him.”
“Ummm... our age, tall, slim, pale. Kind of got, like, a pompadour haircut.”
That was our dognapper. Rich kid and all-around jerk, Montgomery Buford. “That’s him. Do you see Biggie?”
Josh said, “That’s a Boston terrier, alright. But isn’t our dog supposed to be spotted? Dog next to Monty is mostly black.”
“Kuso. Did Hector lie to us?” I said
“No; that’s Biggie. He’s got the little heart shaped spot on his forehead.” Mikayleigh said
“Then why the color difference?”
“Hmmm, I have a hunch. It doesn’t matter.”
“Okay. You’re up, M.”
Silence. Then I heard “Hey Monty, it’s me: Mikayleigh from middle school!”
“Um, okay. What do you want?”
Mikayleigh began yammering, telling Monty about Boston Terriers, breed standards, famous dogs, her dog-dedicated Instagram page, her neighbor’s Boston Terrier when she was a little girl in The Bronx...
Monty stopped her mid-sentence, “Uh... that’s cool. I’m gonna smoke a cigarette. Kent, watch the dog.”
Wait, what?
A second later Mikayleigh said, “Jayla, problem, Monty brought his own groomer.”
“Yeah, I heard.”
Josh said, “Wait, I’ve seen him around town. Name is Kent Something. Graduated high school the same year as me.”
“Alright, we’re on it.”
Josh gave us a quick description, and Rashad worked his laptop magic. He poured through a thousand pages of Google results in a nanosecond and said “Josh, was his name Kent Skyler?”
“Yeah, that’s him.”
“Okay. He owns “Doggy Style Grooming” in Peekskill.
“Ew.” Mikayleigh and I both said.
Rashad went on: “He’s a hired gun for dog shows. Got two dogs himself: Jace and Chandra...”
“Wait, Rashad, say those names again?” Josh said.
“Jace and Chandra. Why?”
“He’s into Magic: the Gathering. I got him.”
A second later I heard, “Yo! Kent! Good to see you, dog! Yo, we’re having a Magic tournament after the show. You down?”
From Kent, “Oh, uh... yeah. Didn’t know you were into Magic.”
“Bro, I just got this new Blue/Green deck that’s been cooking fools. Come hang with me for a second.”
“Uh, yeah man. Alright.”
“Mikayleigh, you good?” I said.
She said, “I got your favorite toy!” and I heard a short bark. “Alright, buddy. We’re gonna get you out of here.”
“Remember, M. Out the back door and back to the van.”
Just then, I heard a strange, airy hiss.
“Mikayleigh, what’s happening?”
“Monty’s back. He’s got a dog whistle.”
Uh-oh
“Where are you going with my dog, you creepy little dork?”
“He’s my friend Hector’s dog! You stole him off his front lawn!”
“Oh yeah? Prove it. Does Hector have any documents? Adoption records?”
Dammit, I hate to lose, especially to this puppy-snatching prick.
“That’s what I thought. The dog’s better off with me anyway.”
“His name is Biggie.” Mikayleigh said.
“Not anymore. I think I’ll call him Winston. Now hand him over before I call security.”
I slammed the wall of the van in anger. He nailed us.
“Interesting coloration he’s got.” Said Mikayleigh.
“Huh?” Monty said.
“Perfect black and white saddle pattern, like a ‘tight-fitting tuxedo jacket’ like it says in the United Kennel Club breed guide. Only thing is, that’s not Biggie’s natural color, is it?
“You were wrong. Biggie is an almost perfect show Terrier, but since he’s spotted, you couldn’t submit him to a dog show, could you? So, you used that “dog-safe” hair dye. “See Spots Go”, was it? Well, there’re two things you should know about that stuff:
“One, it’s been banned by the SPCA because it causes skin issues in small breeds. And two...”
I heard liquid glugging, like she was pouring out her tonic water.
“It washes off with Quinine.”
I heard Monty sputter.
“I’ll be taking Biggie then,” Mikayleigh said.
Biggie whined and the hiss began again.
“Bring back my dog!”
“No, I don’t think I will. Also, dog whistles are cruel. It hurts dogs’ ears.” she said. I heard the metallic ring of the dog whistle landing in the trash can.
A minute later, the van doors opened, and I saw Mikayleigh and Biggie smiling and wagging, respectively.
“I was wrong, M. You’ve got guts.”
She smiled at me. “Let's go give Hector the good news.”

Chapter 1: Morning in the Tomb
Narrated by no one.
Narrator: With water dripping in the distance, the dark, cold stone chamber underground is a far cry from the burning desert above.
Narrator: Drip drop... Drip drop...
Narrator: The sound of water dripping is amplified and lost as it travels through the tiles.
Narrator: Interestingly enough, though, it seems to carry the beeps of an electronic device.
Narrator: The beeps come from the massive stone coffin in the chamber... out of which comes countless black cables and a pale hand.
Narrator: When the pale hand moves, the coffin's lid moves out of the way ever so quietly. Then, the lights in the chamber jump to life...
Narrator: A black-haired girl sits up from the coffin as she yawns.
Tess: Good morning!
Choose either "What are you doing sleeping in a stone coffin?" or "That's really scary!"
If "sleeping," ...
You: Holy, what are you doing sleeping in a stone coffin?
If "scary," ...
You: That's really scary. I thought it was some monster saying hi to me...
--
Tess: It's pretty awesome in here, and I just got a new pillow. It feels great. Do you want to give it a try?
You: I'll pass...
Narrator: As she stretches, she notices the game controller in her hand. She sits back comfortably into her pile of pillows and starts checking her phone.
Narrator: There are a gazillion apps on her phone, but it only takes her a second to spot a green one.
Narrator: It's an app where the player can grow their own plants, and the garden Tess keeps on that app is already a lush green.
Tess: Let's see what I'm going to plant today. White poplars seem nice... they grow pretty fast and can block out sandstorms for me.
Tess: But salt cedars have a nice shape to them, and their flowers are beautiful.
You: Do you like this game?
Tess: A whole forest grows when I'm sleeping. Doesn't that sound awesome?
Narrator: When Tess finishes planting trees and logs on to Moments under the name "MasterDiviner_Tess," her phone goes crazy with comments and notifications.
Narrator: "This is to redeem my vow for helping me pass my exam! You rock!", "My mom's health check results came back just fine, like what you told me."
Narrator: "Is this a scammer's account? I always get my fortune checked before I game. I've done it five times already, and I always ended up losing!"
Tess: This kid's got some guts. His ID is... Yeeso?
Tess: Win some, lose some, no? But... it should be 50/50, right? It's a different kind of lucky when you always fall on the wrong side.
You: Do a lot of people come to you for fortune-telling?
Tess: There has been a surge recently. Well, I should be specific and say, since what happened at Ninir a year ago.
Tess: It disturbed a long-standing peace and troubled a lot of people, which is why they came to me to seek help from fortune-telling.
Tess: But peace will return. The world has seen its fair share of disasters, and peace has never failed to return.
Narrator: The light from Tess' phone shines on all the game consoles in her coffin, and she has just about everything imaginable. The controller she was holding before she woke up is now buried deep within.
You: You can game in the coffin?
Tess: Apple has a wide Wi-Fi coverage in Wasteland, and it's so stable that you can even game when you're in this chamber.
Tess: The Internet is a good thing. You don't need to go out to be able to play all sorts of games and shop. The only catch is that people aren't willing to deliver what I buy.
Tess: The locals aren't fond of this modern stuff, though.
Tess: And there are priests from the other tribes who claimed that "Wi-Fi signals would interfere with their connection with the gods." It's anyone's guess what they based that on.
Tess: I don't agree with that, but from the standpoint of traditional and cultural inheritance, it's still important to keep ceremonies solemn.
Tess: Which is why I still brave the sandstorms and travel to the Quicksand Shrine, where I dance and pray and announce my fortune-telling results.
Tess: Speaking of fortune-telling, I just saw a beautiful sapphire light in my dream. The Rainbow Light was drawing the sapphire light towards it, though.
Tess: That's a good sign, but I can't let you in on the details just yet.

Top Signs Your iPhone Needs Repair: How to Spot Potential Issues Early
Our smartphones have become an integral part of our daily lives. We use them for communication, entertainment, organization, and so much more. When our iPhone starts to show signs of trouble, it can be concerning and disruptive. It's important to be able to recognize the signs that your iPhone may need repair so that you can address the issues early on before they worsen.
Sign 1: Cracked or Shattered Screen
One of the most common signs that your iPhone repair is a cracked or shattered screen. Accidents happen, and dropping your phone can result in a damaged screen. If you notice cracks, chips, or shattered glass on your iPhone screen, it's important to seek repair as soon as possible.
Sign 2: Battery Issues
Another sign that your iPhone may need repair is battery issues. If you find that your iPhone is draining the battery quickly, not holding a charge, or overheating when charging, it may be time to replace the battery. If you notice any abnormal battery behavior, it's important to have it checked by a professional to prevent any potential safety hazards.
Sign 3: Camera Problems

If you notice blurry photos, a camera that won't focus, or a camera that won't open at all, it could be a sign of a faulty camera module. Whether it's a hardware or software issue, a malfunctioning camera can significantly impact your ability to capture memories and document important moments. Getting the camera repaired can help restore your iPhone's functionality and picture quality.
Sign 4: Connectivity Issues
Furthermore, connectivity issues such as Wi-Fi or cellular network problems can indicate that your iPhone needs repair. If you're experiencing difficulties connecting to Wi-Fi networks, dropped calls, or slow data speeds, it may be a sign of a hardware or software issue. Poor connectivity can be frustrating, especially in today's connected world where we rely on our phones for communication and internet access. Getting these issues addressed can help ensure that you stay connected and productive on your iPhone.
Sign 5: Unusual Behaviors or Glitches
Lastly, if you notice any unusual behaviors or glitches on your iPhone, it may be a sign that your device needs repair. Whether it's unresponsive buttons, random reboots, freezing apps, or a black screen, these issues can indicate underlying hardware or software problems. Ignoring these signs can lead to more serious issues down the line, potentially resulting in data loss or permanent damage to your iPhone.
Conclusion
In conclusion, being able to recognize the signs that your iPhone needs repair is crucial for maintaining the functionality and performance of your device. Whether it's a cracked screen, battery issues, camera problems, connectivity issues, or unusual behaviors, addressing these issues early on can help prevent more serious problems in the future. By seeking professional repair services and using genuine parts, you can ensure that your iPhone is restored to its optimal condition and continue to enjoy all the benefits that come with owning a smartphone.
