if i have to see one more stupid post about acne istg
#whyyyy can’t people on this site be normal about acne genuinely#‘acne is caused by genetics not a bad skincare routine! ! !’ well kind of. acne is caused by excess oil/dead skin cells being trapped under#your skin and it’s genetics that determines how much oil your face produces/how frequently your skin cells turn over#and *those* factors are genetic#so as a result if someone produces a lot of oil but never uses cleanser they’re probably going to have worse acne than someone who does use#a cleanser bcos that cleanser is meant to control the oil production#like i agree that the way skincare is marketed and spoken about is fucjing evil#the solution here isn’t to not use cleanser ffs#sigh#.log
