Supergirl Tag Game

When did you first hear about Supergirl? I started following the show on tumblr about six episodes into season 1 because there was a lot of supercat on my dash (a lot from blogs that i’d followed because of mirandy) and from there I began to devour the fic on ao3 because I am always a sucker for ships involving an older, powerful woman.

Why did you start watching Supergirl? because supercat, let’s be real

What’s your favourite season and why? i have very fond memories of season one, it was a simpler time. astra was still alive and kara still had a storyline of her very own.

What’s the thing you like most about the show? the combination of marvel’s colour palette with dc’s treatment of women

Which aspect of the show should they improve? #givekaraherownstoryline2k17 

Who’s your favorite character and why? ASTRA. MY SPACE WIFE. I LOVE HER. because she’s beautiful and complicated and could kill me.

Which character do you dislike the most and why? honest to god toss-up between trashwell and mon-hell

Which character deserves more screen time? astra. also m’gann. and i miss vasquez. #givemaggiesawyerastoryline2k17

Favorite episode? the episode where astra comes back, m’gann roundhouse kicks mon-hell’s ass back into outer-space, and it’s lucy and vasquez come back from their honeymoon

Favorite platonic relationship? the danvers sisters, by a mile

Favorite romantic ship? i love supercat by general danvers owns my soul

Did the show fandom have any special impact on you?  i’d previously had my Gay Awakening via a different fandom, but this is the first time I’ve really felt like I was a part of the fandom, which has been pretty great.

Favorite quote? honestly, anything cat grant has ever said, or whenever alex danvers serves truth to a fuckboy and thus, given me life

What would you change about the show if you had the direct ability?

Rant!

People are always making fun of the street harassment video. Most of them happen to be men. Let me make something clear. It is not a compliment to be cat called. It is just creepy and frankly disgusting, men don't comment on how beautiful a girl is. In general it's more of an expression of how much they want to fuck her. Now keeping this in mind as a female I have been subject to vulgar catcalls, honking, and suggestive passes by grown men, law enforcement and men up to 6 times my senior since the age of 10. Now for people (usually men who think cat calling is a compliment) imagine your ten year old daughter walking down that street and having a bunch of grown men speaking to her in that fashion. Can you still maintain that same opinion? Can you still tell us woman you think those men are innocently complimenting her? No. Didn't think so.
