my brother and i had this very in depth conversation on what kind of imaginary friend (bc this is technically the same au) eddy should be instead of whatever i had before.

i knew i wanted to keep the gem-like kind of style if design, like his whole body being made of different types of crystals, but i wanted to add more to it?? anyways we came up with the crow idea for him bc crows are kinda like eddy, they eat trash!! and other stuff but i explained that before.

WeLL here we are...i want to write s/t quick to remember the year by. cus 2023 was probly one of my most significant years of life, even tho from the surface it may appear not much changed for me, 2023 laid the foundation,,,

firstly, january 2023 i began learning to make music, which is crazy like!!!! it has absolutely given me a new reason to be lieve in myself like i nvr had b4. its like unlocking a new area of my heart, and inutuion.. its so FUN, so so fun ohhh the fun i have, provides me w a brighter outlook for the future as i will always have this melodic part of me activated,going forward. ive learned so much in just a year. idk i just love it it makes me feel wise and complete i feel like an alchemist. i cld rly say a lot on the sense of security music has made me feel in my heart :'0 but i have some other things to get to;

summer 2023 i started doing yoga which has also changed things for me dramatically i think ive released a lot of built up stagnant energy from my body & aura. since i started i feel immensely more balanced n able to work thru my emotions as they come up. ngl when ppl used to recommend me to try yoga i thout it was hippie shit but its real lol.. im finding sm contentment in day to day life than i ever thought possible, easier time being present, yet another thing i will continue for the rest of my future that 2023 has given me.

these r good things but it must b said that this year has been Soooo rough for me in certain ways, mostly due to interpersonal relationships.. some ppl had to b let go from my life this year in ways i rly wasnt expecting & for a lot of the year things were just, foggy. however as things draw to a close im feeling immensely grateful like.. every1 im close to rn are all peaceful souls & we uplift each other, i see now why the ones causing drama naturally had to fall away. even if it was painful process im feeling so supported rn, & reciprocated TwwwT <3333

idk it just felt like as i was progressing w musical understanding, yoga stuff , as well as the past few months trying to use tea and herbs to get my organs in order, i feel that.. my energetic field is rly repairing itself & so a lot of old attachments just cant keep up anymore.

Anyway.. Kiawren date I thought of last night Ok I didn't think everything through so I'm just making it up as I write now

Wren meets kiawe at like 8.30am in the morning and they were so happy and energised which he rarely is in the morning. Kiawe's like have you eaten breakfast he's like Erm no (used to eating lunch straight) and kiawe's like 😐. You need to eat before we do anything. So they go to the restaurant Mallow's family runs ☺️ they got a booth and at first they sat opposite eahc other and wren was like. Wait. And he gets up and sits on kiawe's side together. Anyway so Wren gets like pancakes idk and kiawe has already had breakfast so he just gets like a drink and while they were waiting for their food they were like bumping knees playfully and their arms were touching and stuff and mallow came back and Kiawe got a bit flustered so he inched away a bit (they haven't made it official but our friends all know).

After that we walk around Royal avenue and decide to see a battle royale I think he should get like free tickets cuz he's a trial captain so we got free tickets lol.

Oh ya mallow mentioned she was going to watch the Minior shower at night with Lana cuz sophocles told them tonight the shower is very visible so kiawrens like ok we're gonna go too.

Wren remembers kiawe would like to have a litten so he suggested going to find and catch one. Okay I made this shit up on the spot last night but I think Rowlets can only be found in lush jungle on akala, popplio in the waters near seafolk village on poni and litten on melemele wandering around urban areas. So we take a ferry to melemele and the sights and the sea breeze is so good... Okay then we find and catch one. Actually I don't like the idea of beating a wild pokemon to near-death submission so I think my toucannon just heat up it's beak (when did this turn into a 1st person pov) and litten felt the heat and warmed up to it and also purred and heated its back and kiawe's arcanine was also really friendly to it okay litten catch accomplished

Then they have lunch on melemele and go to the beachfront where they chuck pyukumuku in the water and wren catches a one.. I actually rlly want one but I haven't went to find it in the game idk why I'm so lazy. Anyway after this it's like 5pm idk...

They then take a ferry to Ula'ula and got takeaway food at Malie city btw I love the music there so much I hc there's this old man busking and playing the music there on some cool traditional instrument idc.. then they sit in the park to have their dinner and watch the sun set and the view on the pond is really nice Erm yeah then they take the bus up to the observatory and meet their friends there and sit on the grass as the sky gets dark and the Minior shower happens. And wren caught a Minior that day too 😁

On the ferry home to akala kiawe's kinda tired so wren let's him rest on their shoulder kiawe's kinda awkward about it like are you sure. And then he couldn't really rest his mind cuz he was feeling so flustered about it too. The sea at night time is so nice btw. Then back on akala each of them said he'll walk the other home oh wait actually what if wren said that but remembered he still has to give kiawe something. So kiawe's like great I get to walk you :) and wren's like urh no after we stop by my dorm I'm sitll following you back and kiawe's like What that's so Unnecessary but he relents cuz wren really likes him so much and wants to be romantic okay and he also doesnt want the night to end yet.. They stop by wren's dorm on route 8 and wren gives kiawe an origami red tulip they made. Becuz I was thinking if I showed up with a tulip in the morning that's kinda weird cuz what's he gonna do with the flower when we hang out the rest of the day. So it makes more sense to give it at the end of the day. Okay yeah kiawe's heart swells so much they uhm they haven't kissed yet actually. They just hold hands. Okay then wren sees Kiawe back to his house. You know there's this kid outside his house in the game that speaks to the MC. I think for some reason he was still outside and went Kiawe is that your boyfriend.? And Kiawe was so 😳 he couldn't speak so wren was like Yes😁👍 and the kid was like Ohhh.. Ok. and then they said goodnight and Kiawe really didn't want to close the door and he was like are you sure you don't want me to see you back and wren's like yah I'm sure it's not like a whole island away. Powers: Being able to hold his breath underwater for much longer periods of time than a typical human. He can also withstand much colder temperatures

Equipment: He's much more focused on physical fighting and brute force than any technological things (at least in terms of him being a villain) and he's pretty strong/muscular. The only things he really carries around are two ice picks and he has a cargo belt thing that he carries little hail things around him to throw at whoever he's arching lol

Background:

He was in college doing a marine biology lab when a freak accident happened and he mutated to have some features alike to a seal, similar to Wide Wale. Speaking of Wide Wale they DO NOT like each other lol. Idk why yet but they DONT! Anyways, the features are basically what his powers are (holding his breath longer + cold tolerance) but he also has some patches of skin that are discolored and have a texture like seal skin. He also has a small tail but that's really not noticeable (note: It's an actual TAIL and NOT a seal's hind flippers!)

After he graduated from college, he had a lot of trouble finding a job and he came across the Monarch one day and decided to hench for him. He was fine doing that for a while but he wanted to take advantage of his powers on his own so he went off and became an antagonist with the Guild.

Canon interactions/relationships:

The Monarch: Despite him being an ex-henchman they have a pretty friendly/amicable relationship!! They're not the best of friends lol but they can talk and they enjoy each other's company. They're kinda similar in certain aspects but neither of them really want to unpack that right now

Dr Girlfriend: I have plans I cannot share with the public because the haters will sabotage me (oc x canon.they don't have any lore yet but. Trust me)

Henchman 21: Super close friends... not like. 21 and 24 close but still very close. They don't have that many specific interests in common but they bond over both being nerdy and they have fun talking to each other... they converse in similar ways and their personalities bounce off each other well so they just like hanging out and discussing Whatever. Idk

Wide Wale: Like with Dr Girlfriend they don't have lore yet but I have an idea in mind lol. Idk I think they're just competitive bc they're so similar... both NYC based villains who are mutated to be similar to an aquatic animal... obviously Wide Wale is a much higher level villain than Adrian is so there isn't really an escalation of conflict between them bc I don't think Wide Wale would stoop that low. Unless in the case that Adrian actually starts taking his job more seriously but. Shrugs

Personality/small details:

I'm really bad at describing personalities because I'm autistic so bear with me if this is inconsistent LMFAO

Anyways erm... He's pretty set in his ways/headstrong. This is why he's been stuck as a low level antagonist for so long. Cuz he pretty much refuses to change anything about what he's doing even if it's not the best for his career as a villain

He's not very social at all. This is the main reason he doesn't have henchmen or anything, he just doesn't want to talk to most people. His headquarters is also his apartment which is part of it too but it's mostly him being less social.

He's actually a pretty nice guy when he's not arching!! Despite him not liking social interaction he's pretty friendly and isn't like. outright mean to most people idk. He's not really into making mean jokes either

He still has a passion for marine science!! Despite everything it's still one of his favorite things. On a similar note, outside of being a villain, I think he'd have a job as a guide at the new york aquarium or zoo idk. Outside of stuff in that vein he's interested in vexillology and philately

His costume is kinda rivethead style* outside of the obvious seal influences and he dresses in that style outside of work too, but in a much more like. casual manner and definitely not as "villainous" or similar to how he looks in costume lol

i dont think akagi would be... impressed by it but i tihnk he might respect it? at least an older akagi does respect it- hiro did some similar begging to be part of the east/west tournament and akagi enjoyed that. a younger akagi only looks at other people to tell if they can be "an existence like his" and doesnt care much beyond that. sahara IS willing to take risks and stick to his death gambling decisions so that 19kagi does respect id say? (if his conversation w urabe is anything to go on- he dislikes/d half-assed people) he wouldnt feel NEGATIVELY towards sahara anyway. but who does akagi even truly dislike ?... only time he gets mad is in the chohan arc so. hes a pretty easy going dude all things considered

sahara-wise i think hes got a bit of an ego and overestimates how really good at gambles he is/would be lol. like "please let me in ur death game and i promise ill win and i wont die and u wont have my death on ur conscience i promiiiiise ill win i can win id win anything" is kinda like erm. u dont even know what game itd be yet. and hes one of the first people to actually step on the brave mans road (if not the first? i forgor) so he has an outlook of "ok i can pull that off" and i think hed be impressed w akagi skills but not see him as a demonic gambler or anything hed hear about akagis risky wins and think "wow! so cool! i could pull that too!". but akagis drive towards death and destruction he wouldnt vibe with and maybe thats what hes scared of akagi for. the suicidal drive of it all. that sahara doesnt have he just doesnt wanna have to work a job hes in it for the money (which akagi has no interest in) like he wouldnt get why akagi doesnt care about money & isnt happy despite always winning really ("wdym losing is healthy? losing sucks. if i could, id never lose. this guys an idiot lol." <- sahara internal thoughttrack)

so i guess put together.... theyre both a bit puzzled with each other but feel generally positively towards each other? also sahara DOES die at the peak of his gamble and thats the one thing (19) akagi desired so maybe hed be a bit jealous of that. but then saharas dead so they cant interact

sahara also has social skills that akagi doesnt have... hes like if osamu was kinda fucked up. like sahara would maybe make himeslf look like easy pickings so he can scam his colleagues and then akagi walks in and wins his bets before sahara can pull his scheme.? vs osamu just being straight forwardly picked on by his colleagues lol. sahara would similarly stick to akagi and follow him around if they met in those circumstances i think. but less in a "i admire you and want to learn from you" way and maybe more "let me eat off of ur scraps"

idk if anyone has mentioned this before, sorry if you have i’m a new follower & i’m in the UK so idk what it’s like in other countries, but can we talk abt how for intense chronic pain the first thing out of a health professionals mouth is “just take ibuprofen/ paracetamol” or “have you tried ibuprofen/paracetamol”? like, i’ll actually lose my mind if i have to hear that from a health professional again. i have trigeminal neuralgia & that makes it IMPOSSIBLE for any pain medication to work unless it effects the nerves or specifically targets that - otc pain killers & even high dosages of opioids or morphine do not even touch the severe unpredictable pain i have to experience multiple times on a daily basis (so if it doesn’t work & does bad, why take it, right?). & yet every single time i need emergency assistance or pain relief for this horrendous pain i get “have you taken or tried ibuprofen / paracetamol?” & they get a shitty attitude with me when i say “no, because it doesn’t work”.

they act like people with chronic pain haven’t tried it ?? like erm yeah, because if ibuprofen & paracetamol worked then i wouldn’t be in severe pain all day every day, wouldn’t have to take multiple nerve medications of high dosages at specific times & permanently have to damage the nerves in my face via surgery just to get the pain to stop. if ibuprofen & paracetamol worked then i’d actually be able to leave the house, talk to people, move my face & eat without triggering intense, random pain that can last for days 🥴 it’s become a running gag unfortunately between me & my other friend with chronic pain because we’ve been asked that so much. like do they think we refuse it to make their job harder or what ???!!

@ health professionals i’m sure that if someone can’t take ibuprofen or paracetamol or is adamant against taking it then it’s for a reason .. if it doesn’t work, if it causes an allergy, if it’s bad for their body, anything. I know they’re meant to ask but they get this attitude like we’re ignorant / haven’t exhausted all of our options, I mean you’d think they’d know that, right .. ??? But nope lol, ibuprofen & paracetamol. i think there are multiple reasons for this fixation on paracetamol/ibuprofen so im just gonna ramble my understanding of the situation. a couple decades ago the NHS went all out trying to reverse the overprescription crisis of drugs like opioids/sedatives by creating newly strict prescribing rules, particularly for young patients. this, on top of the increasing mismanagement & limitations in the providing of other NHS services, means that some doctors end up posing paracetamol as a cure-all even when other drugs or tests or physio are needed because they can’t really offer anything else. obviously there’s also patterns of health professionals minimising patients’ pain, reframing pain as a willpower or solely mental issue, and underestimating the damage that constant pain can do to someone’s body and psyche. also statistically, the pain levels of certain groups (people of colour, afabs, women, fat people, etc) are widely minimised by medical professionals. if they don’t believe your pain is real, they won’t wanna give you strong meds for it

also this is conjecture but i’ve gathered that a uk doctor’s record looks bad if they prescribe things to youths (regardless of need!!) and their record looks good if their patients can be ‘adequately treated’ with ibuprofen or para. more than one nhs doctor has implied to me that this is how their job works. i think it’s inexcusable that people’s pain is being dismissed but i can see why uk professionals end up with that mindset. a huge combo of factors made things this way. but sadly we as patients don’t know why we’re being brushed off, and the only explanation we can find is that our pain & our point of view are worthless. which is not cool lol

it’s so weird. like i’ve been on prescribed opioids for years because over the counter painkillers never worked on my body but professionals are STILL pushing them as if their only job is to cheerlead paracetamol. so I take para every day. but sometimes i take a break to see if it’s even doing anything and there’s zero difference. i’m only taking it because otherwise docs refuse tests and treatments. they will not test me for certain issues until i’ve demonstrated that i take paracetamol round the clock and it hasn’t helped. when i was a teen my family called 999 for me (my doc said to call an ambulance when i had the symptom i was having) but the operator didn’t want to send an ambulance until i’d taken paracetamol. HELLO? another flavour of this is that sometimes i’m vomiting so much for weeks on end that i can’t keep any pills down, and yet i get repeatedly and angrily asked “why haven’t you taken paracetamol?”... HELLO? i did take it but it came back up 40 times, along with all my other meds. idk what they want from me.

also (im gonna stop ranting after this i prommy) but its so crazy. like im biased and delusional but i literally cannot turn off my editor brain cus its what i do for 8 hours a day.

from a narrative standpoint i wouldve found it almost Imperative that every prior protag (within reason obviously if your hof is dead/hawke in the fade) be relevant to this story. cus what the hell. it's like every narrative plot point from the prior games coalesces in this game at some point but there's no emotional payoff because who the fuck is rook and who cares. and why do i care if they don't have reason to.

thinking abt how actually well-written the "varric is dead the whole time but a fade spirit, and he was killed by the lyrium dagger, which was made from the red lyrium idol his whole game is About." could've been. one of the most important macguffins in DA. (maybe not a textbook macguffin bc it by design bc of nuance but nevertheless. anyway i digress). this is guessing that he is actually dead tho. no confirmation yet but it'd be insane if not what with how everyone ignores him all the time LOL.

LIKE IM BIASED AND I GET THAT cus the DA protagonists are very interesting to me--kronk moreso in my head than in the actual game--but it's like. insane to me that hawke's whole deal is still relevant but they're not even? mentioned by name? nowhere to be found? what happened to all the "guilt" and "regret" over the red lyrium. LOL. IDK it's again this thing that i understand from a dev standpoint but also i cannot turn off my developmental editor brain sorry. it's not possible. no i can never be happy.

anyway this game feels so so so so SO detached from dragon age to me. but it has also hit the "its so mediocre it will give you brainworms for years thinking abt all its potential" that DAI had!!!!!!! so there's that.

also this is irrelevant and such a nitpick. but can they stop referring to everything under the sun as a "relic". like can we use more specific terms so i know what is going ONNNNNNNNN. maybe it's just cus i did a lot of veil jumpers shit after a minrathous thing which also had some nebulous "relic" plot device that this stood out. anyway.

I inserted aralei into the six days arc because I thought it would be funny so I think Kabru would probably learn about it then. He was already curious about her before, but after finding out he’s more... confused, I guess. Cause she IS a person, isn’t she? He’s not so sure for a while (Aralei isn’t either, really) until she opens up to him in conversation.

I think being isolated in the dungeon with her mother gave her a, a spectator complex? whatever it’s called? like she’s on the outside looking in at humanity, and she totally falls in love with it. Knowing erm, what the demon did to her mom though it made her terrified of desire and of wanting. The one thing of humans that she admires and yet rejects in her own body. It’s honestly a freaky situation

That’s one thing they share lol a complete love of humans. But anyways. Aralei uses her music as a crutch because she specifically uses it to entertain others, never really playing for herself. So when her violin is broken she. Freaks. runs off and isolates herself. That super cheerful and blissfully unaware Yaya Yippee!!! ^^ thing she’s been keeping up completely shatters and Kabru is there to witness proof of her humanity, in that she wants she wants she wants and she is terrified of it

Kabru doesn’t view her as just a product of the dungeon, he knows she is human and he has irrefutable proof of it

i am fluent(ish) in a few languages other than english but they almost never come up in fic lol. but if i had to include a foreign language, i’d either write it from the pov of the character who doesn’t know the language (and gets it translated from a third party) or i’d have to consult someone who could help me out with the language

And so, a text and throwing on the first t-shirt and grey sweatpants he could find, was all he had to do to set his journey on the quest of getting his 8-inch dick tattooed.

He settled on getting a dragon design to go all around his "MAGNUM DONG" when in reality, it was just a little above average sized, so nothing too special.

As he made his way to this new tattoo parlor, he couldn't help but feel a little scared, because obviously, having a fear of needles was brutal enough, but having a needle inject ink into your dick for who knows how long, was even worse. "Can a "Boyfriend" go to room 3 please?" a random lady scoffed.

This was it, there was no turning back (he kinda wanted to) but Boyfriend and his overly high ego said otherwise.

He slowly opened the door to see a ginger crouching down to pick up something that seemed like a pack of antiseptic wipes. Boyfriend couldn't help but stare at that juicy ass of his just waiting to be fucked (at least that's what he thought)

"E-either way, we gotta get to business" Pico stammered, as he took a seat on his chair, ready to type in this weird and excruciatingly handsome fellow's details on the computer.

"What type of business sugar?" Boyfriend smirked, especially proud of that one, he pulled like it was nothing #cool.

"Are you kidding me right now? I need your details you douche" Pico declared, getting a little impatient with this weird dude that was hot as fuck and also within cock-sucking range mind you.

"Oh... right" Boyfriend said, taking this a little more seriously (Like he was supposed to in the first place)

"I need your name and age" Pico groaned (Not in that way yet, just be patient little chickadees, it's almost here), as he just wanted this to end as soon as possible.

"Oh yeah, my name's Dick and I'm 19, single and ready to mingle honey" Boyfriend obviously joked, as he let out a chuckle.

"Okay, where do you want the tattoo huh?" Pico asked rather eagerly.

"Um, this is gonna sound a bit weird alright? But it's a dare, so like, I'm obviously doing it..." 

"I'm gonna tattoo my super awesome man pole, magnum dong, I mean, my chode, cock, dick, meat stick-" Boyfriend was cut off mid-sentence.

"Stop, just stop. WHAT THE FUCK?!" Pico panicked at the thought of having to hold his dick while measuring, tattooing it, and all that jazz, he needed someone to pinch him right then and there, or else he really would bring out that gun and shoot himself.

"I would say you're rather excited though, aren't you sugar?" Boyfriend smirked, while also being super proud of that one, he was practically on flirting fire #doublecool

And so, Boyfriend eventually did, taking his baggy, blue jeans and boxers off for Pico to "Inspect" the soon-to-be tattooed area.

"If you don't mind me saying, I expected it to be bigger than this" Pico giggled as he shot Boyfriend a somewhat of an intimidating look that screamed 'Dude wtf like ew'.

"Like yours is any bigger hon" Boyfriend scoffed, rolling his eyes at Pico

Pico eventually measured it and broke into a fit of laughter.

"Eight inches? Really? I know mine's at least ten dude" Pico teased.

"Please, don't lie to yourself sugar, but if you want..." Boyfriend eventually came to a halt and trailed off.

"If I want, what?" Pico wondered.
