guys my age don’t know how to love me good
pairing: dom!juyeon x noona!reader
synopsis: lee juyeon is the only guy who makes sex worth it
word count: 3.1k
warnings: noona kink, mentions of toxic and abusive sex, deep throating, no mentions of protection (wrap it before you tap it), inexperienced/unsure reader
a/n: this is for @rolezeure + anon
requests are open!!
masterlist + requests
'y/n, I swear to god if you won't come to this party with me I will actually never talk to you ever again. you know what this is?' your best friend siyeon dramatically held up a pair of scissors. 'scissors, to cut our friendship.'
'but what am I supposed to even do there?' you scoffed. parties were stupid 'I don't know how to talk to people.'
'you don't need to talk, dumbass. you get drunk, grind on some hot dude and get laid.' siyeon rolled her eyes as she was so done with you.
'as if that is supposed to convince me to go. sex is completely overraded, my dude. it just hurts and the guys don't even care. as long as they get off on you it's fine.' you had not have had any positive experiences with sex. it usually hurt, the guys were rough and didn't really care if you were crying. there wasn't any pleasure you associated with it.
'that's cause you've been with only toxic men. but please, come with me! it's way too awkward to go alone and I need a hype woman. Sangyeon will be there. I cannot miss the opportunity to get with mr. dilf. have you seen him? he is sooo hot, y/n. I might never have another opportunity like this. and I need a lot of alcohol in my system first before I can initiate something,' she whined. she gave you the best puppy eyes she could to make you give in.
you knew your friend had been eyeing sangyeon for weeks. siyeon had tripped the first time she saw him and had to wipe away the drool from her chin. she then memorized his schedule and you would always have to watch him from afar. however, she could not utter a single comprehensible sentence without alcohol if she was nervous but when she was drunk she was the most sociable and flirty person and always got with whom she wanted.
sangyeon was usually never to be found at parties but this particular one was for his friend's birthday so siyeon knew he would show up. who knows if she would ever see him again, after all, he had just graduated from college and would be leaving campus. this was her last opportunity. you sighed.
'fine,' you finally gave in. she squealed and hugged you so tightly that you had trouble breathing.
'omg, I love you so much, y/n! you're a lifesaver. I owe you big big time.'
'you certainly do.'
you tried to convince yourself that maybe a party was just what you needed. finals were finally over and you were on your well deserved break before you started your last year of college.
a week later, the two of you took a cab to the party location. you arrived at a huge mansion that must have cost a huge ton of money. it felt like thousands of people were there, getting drunk and going skinny dipping in the gigantic pool. you recognized some of the people. you didn't really know them but you often saw them walk around on campus.
when you entered the house some dudes whistled at you. ew. you definitely had to get a drink to be able to stand all these gross men lurking around here. at least you had your pepper spray with you. better safe than sorry.
siyeon and you found the bar and immediately downed a couple of shots. the alcohol burned in your throat as you drank one after the other. your friend needed the effects alcohol brings with it quickly.
'have you found him already?' you scream over the music at siyeon.
'no, he's nowhere to be seen… maybe he's not here at all' she was pouting.
I grabbed her by the arm. 'come on. let's go search for him somewhere else. hmm, maybe he's outside?' you dragged her through the mass of people. she was gonna get laid tonight, you were gonna make sure of it.
the backyard was just as crowded but at least you got some fresh air. a lot of people were grinding on each and making out in the pool and hot tub.
'oh my god, oh my god, oh my god. he's there!' siyeon whisper shouted at you.
'where?' you couldn't find him in the crowd.
'over there next to the huge ass plant. he's standing next to jacob.' ah, you saw him. him and jacob were engaged in a deep conversation and occasionally sipped on their drinks.
siyeon just grabbed a drink out of a passing person's hand, ignore the complains and drank it all in one go.
'I need more.' so you went to get more alcohol before you could convince her that now was the time.
'how do I look? is my makeup smudged? do I look enough like 'daddy, I've been a good girl. pls choke me?' she kept on trying to flatten her hair hastily.
'you look absolutely gorgeous, girl. go get him, tiger.' she did look stunning. the red lipstick matched with her bold red dress. it was short and showed a lot of cleavage. her beautiful curves were perfectly highlighted and if sangyeon didn't drool over her then you would seriously have to buy him new eyes.
you high-fived each other and then she went to go on her mission.
you watched how he scanned her up and down, taking in her beauty, when she approached him and then smiled brightly. she touched his muscular arms as he said something that made her laugh. he seemed to be enjoying her company jacob, who had understood what was going on, had joined his other friends kevin and eric on the dance floor inside.
'who are we spying on?' someone whispered in your ear, making you jump and almost spill your drink. rude.
'oh, seeing if my best friend's gonna get laid tonight like she'd hoped to. seems positive so far.' the guy who had come up to you nodded interested. you had no idea who he was but you didn't exactly mind his company. he was a handsome fellow, with a face sculpted by the gods. his dark blue hair made him stand out even more.
'so what are you gonna do if she leaves with him? are you just going to leave?' he asked.
you shrugged your shoulders. 'probably. she's the only reason I came to this god awful party.'
'oh, you don't like it?' he raised his eyebrows.
'no, it's too full, it's too loud and I'm bored. who even is this guy who threw this party. I actually have no idea who he is,' you complained about everything. he seemed to become more amused as you went on.
'then allow me to introduce myself. hey, my name is juyeon.' he held out his hand.
'what does that have to do with- oh my god this is YOUR party!' you realized in shock. your face was burning with embarrassment. but he didn't seem to mind at all and just laughed light heartedly.
'yeah, I'm sorry you don't like it. if you like I could take you somewhere quieter with less people.' oh dude, he was flirting. why? you did look hot as fuck in your short black dress but you had literally just insulted his party.
'I'm sorry I'm not really up for sex or whatever it is you're offering.' you scratched your neck awkwardly. you wouldn't mind if he visited you in your dreams sometimes tho to have a good time.
'that's too bad. I was hoping I could make you feel good.' he brushed a finger over your cheek.
'I doubt you could. no one ever has.' he snorted at that.
'how old even are you?' you asked him.
'19, you don't have to worry. I'm a legal adult. you?' 'almost 21.'
'ooh, that's fun! are you sure you don't want to spend some private time with me, noona?' that was fucking unfair. he was using this noona thing to get you to give in. he knew exactly what he was doing and you could feel yourself getting aroused.
'I just don't think sex is right for me. it just hurts and doesn't do anything to make me feel good,' you explained to him.
'seems like you've only been with douchebags. I have a 100% rate of making women come. you should try and see for yourself, noona.' his lustful gaze stared deep into your soul, making your legs wobbly.
it seemed so tempting. he was super hot and couldn't help but notice the outline of his abs on his shirt. the alcohol was also encouraging you to make some bad decisions and step out of your comfort zone. this man somehow made you super horny with his toned body and god like face, whether you liked it or not. you caught yourself seriously considering going with him.
'here's a proposal. I give you head and if you're not satisfied with my services we can just stop there.' he leaned down and whispered in my ear. 'I would love to hear you scream my name, noona.'
his offer actually didn't sound too bad. juyeon might just be more skilled than the rest of the men you had slept with, who knew. you didn't have anything better to do anyways so you might as well see if he can make you feel good.
'where do we go?' you finally asked after staying silent to keep a suspenseful silence. his eyes lit up and he grabbed your hand. he led you back inside, up the stairs and into the room on the far right.
you could see posters of football player, trophies and pictures. this was obviously his room.
you didn't have much time to look around as he locked the door and kissed you
you were surprised by just how not slimy it was. usually, the guys would always try to wet your whole face and you had to wipe your mouth every other second.
but he started off soft and placed his hands on your hips. you put your arms around his neck to get closer to him and deepen the kiss.
his hands started roaming your body and when he squeezed your ass, you let out a moan. juyeon took this opportunity to slip his tongue inside your open mouth.
the kissing made you dizzy and you desperately tugged at him to get him closer to you. he picked you up and held you up against the wall. you let your hands wander under his shirt and started tracing his abs while grinding your core against him. you could feel his dick harden with your movements.
juyeon carried you to the bed and slowly let you down so you laid on your back. while he quickly took off his shirt you tried to catch your breath after the intense make out. you didn't have long to admire his muscular upper body before he lifted the dress so you were only there in your underwear.
he startes placing open mouth kiss from your collar bones, to your boobs, to your stomach until he reached the hem of your panties. he made sure to keep eye contact as he put the fabric between his teeth and slowly pulled them down like this. you felt cold air hitting your core.
'so pretty, noona,' he admired your clearly dripping pussy. he dragged one finger over your lips to see just how wet you were.
'I haven't even touched you yet but you are already so wet for me. I told you I'd make you feel good. I'll show you just how much, noona.' and with that he dove right in between your lips to prove his point. the feeling of his tongue fucking you was unfamiliar. no guy had ever even cared to get you wet and pleasure you before actually having sex.
Juyeon was desperately devouring your juices as if he hadn't drunk for ages. additionally he started massaging your clit with his thumb, knowing exactly what a woman likes. he had to hold down your hips to keep you stable because you were trying to buck up into his face as it felt so good. every time his nose came into contact with your clit while licking you felt like you were losing control.
involuntary moans were spilling out of your mouth and you could feel juyeon smirking against your core.
suddenly, he slipped a finger inside you and started slowly pumping it in and out of you. it felt a bit uncomfortable at first but you got used to it quite quickly and when he noticed, he slipped a second finger inside. damn, those were some long ass fingers.
your pussy made squelching sounds which you couldn't care less about in the moment as he rapidly fucked you with his long digits. you were pulling at his hair as he took your bud between his teeth, alternating between softly biting and sucking on it.
you suddenly couldn't take it anymore and your orgasm washed over your body like a wave and juyeon slowly continued until you had fully come down from your high.
he sat up straight again. 'I promised I could make you feel good, didn't I? god, you look so hot when you come, noona.' fuck, where did he learn to do all this? maybe he was right after all.
you noticed that his nose was coated in your juices but he didn't seem to care at all. 'do you want to continue?'
'only if you can make me come again,' you challenged him.
he scoffed. 'that's not even a question, noona.'
he quickly unbuckled his belt and pulled down his pants. the shape of his bulge was clearly visible through his underwear. you reached inside and whipped out his already hard dick. you gulped.
'it's so big,' you whispered afraid. he was bigger than the other guys you had slept with and if they had already hurt you then his cock would probably hurt even worse.
he stroked your hair out of your face. 'don't worry. I've already prepared well so you should be able to take it without a problem. I'll make sure to go slow to not hurt you, okay?' you needed to trust him. it seemed like he actually knew what he was doing.
you gave his dick a couple of strokes to see how he reacted before you wrapped your lips around his leaking tip. seeing juyeon throw his head back gave you the encouragement you desperately needed to go forward.
you took him all the way until you started gagging. this was something you were good at. you started deep throating him and he moaned out your name.
'fuck, noona. you are so good with my cock.' he brushed your hair to the side so you it wouldn't be in the way when you sucked him off.
you noticed that he tried to control himself but couldn't refrain himself from bucking up his hips a few times, making you gag.
he then stopped you. 'I can't come yet. I need to show you how proper sex is done first.'
you laid down on your back and he positioned himself between your legs. he pressed your arms down next to your head and intertwined his fingers with yours.
'are you ready?' you gave him a nod.
'just squeeze my hand if it hurts.'
he slowly pushed his tip inside. you shut your eyes tightly and juyeon stopped to give you time.
'no, no. go all the way in first,' you whined.
his dick filled your walls up to the brim. you tried to calm down your heavy breathing. you squeezed his hands in pain and he held still. juyeon placed a kiss on your mouth.
'you're doing so well, noona.', he praised you. 'just tell me when you feel ready to go.'
it did hurt but not quite as much as the other times. and no one had ever waited for you to actually adjust before beginning to pound into you.
juyeon distracted you with kisses and as you started getting more comfortable you slowly started moving your hips against him. you gave him a slight nod to tell him he could continue.
he still started off with a moderate tempo and you needed more.
'faster!' you urged him and he picked up the pace. the way he snapped his hips made you see stars.
the pain was now completely gone and you were lost in your own pleasure.
when he started thrusting into you from behind, he hit spots inside you you had never felt before. the new position allowed him to go even deeper and faster than before.
you moaned surprised as he spanked you.
'you like this, noona?' you could only groan out his name to show him how you felt.
the knot in your stomach became tighter and tighter.
'I think I'm coming!' you manage to get out.
'come for me, noona!' with that he went into overdrive and fucked into you like a machine.
your arms gave in as your walls clenched around his huge cock tightly and you came hard while screaming his name.
he rode out your orgasm and then pulled out. he stroke his dick fast and shot his big load on your butt and back.
he lay down next to you exhausted. his fingers wiped away the tears of pleasure you didn't know you had cried.
'did I make you feel good, noona?' 'more than just good,' you admitted satisfied.
'I guess guys my age just don't know how to treat me.' he hummed in agreement.
'that makes no sense. you are absolutely gorgeous. they missed out on the opportunity to see your beautiful face when you come.' this was weird. he was still nice to you even after he already came. what was this?
'thank you for making my birthday wish come true,' he said. 'huh, what do you mean?' you questioned him.
'actually, I've noticed you on campus before but I was always too shy to talk to you.' 'oh really?' you laughed sceptically.
'yeah, I wanted to ask you on a date first but it seems like we skipped a couple of steps.' he was blushing. gosh, he was kind of adorable.
'I mean we could still go on those dates if you'd like, birthday boy.' strangely enough you felt like you could trust him and kind of wanted to get to know juyeon as a person.
'awesome,' he smiled at you before he pecked your lips and went to clean you both up.
you had completely forgotten about siyeon. hopefully, her night had been just as satisfying as yours had been.

Flightless Birds Chapter One: Feathers in Fukuoka
Chapter Two Here
Chapter Three Here
Chapter Four Here
Chapter Five Here
Summary: Y/n unexpectedly meets the current number two hero Hawks in Fukuoka. The grayish blue Parakeet catches the eye of the speedy hero, who promises himself he’ll meet them again.
Word Count: 2.5K words
Warnings: Child abuse, Karens, blood, Hawks being creepy, chaotic best friend, gore, shitty parents, deadbeat dad
Other: The amount of research I put into this, wing anatomy, feather anatomy, types of birds, parakeet behaviors, cities in Japan, I even found a good Japanese name for the best friend, since this does take place in Japan. If you wanna know, Izanagi, the name of Y/n’s best friend in this fic, means ‘First male, god of creation’ and I love that name. Actually, I love anything in the Japanese language, it’s such a beautiful language and I cannot wait to learn it. Also, there was a problem with the spacing in the flashback scene so I just fixed that real quick, sorry for the inconvenience!
Taglist: @smolchildfangirl @combat-wombatus @cathy8taffy @1small-frogs @catcherisvibin @waffleareniceandfluffy @mandalorian-baby-bird @theblueslytherin (If you want to be added/removed from the taglist let me know).
You stared out the window. It had taken forever but you’d convinced him to let you look down at the streets surrounding his penthouse. You rested one hand on the cool glass, letting out a breath. Your other hand was tracing the scars on your legs, You had long given up on getting them to heal.
You fluttered your wings, or what was left of them. No matter how many times your primary flying feathers would grow back, it would never deter your captor from simply clipping them off again. Thankfully, he did a better job than other people. He would never cut a blood feather. Well, mostly.
You closed your eyes, the house was so stifling at times, despite the large open rooms, and the fact that your captor would occasionally allow you out into the garden. You attempted to recall the last time you were free in Fukuoka. You remembered a bright sky, blue as your wings, and clouds fluffy and soft as your feathers. You remembered the ache in your body from working yourself all day, and just how heavy your legs felt. You remembered a kid’s joyful cheers when she saw you….
“Mommy! Look, look at the pretty bird! Can I touch it please?” you were standing on the street, waiting for a friend to pick you up and take you over to their house to watch movies and eat popcorn. You looked up from your phone at the sound of the child’s loud, innocent voice.
“Go right ahead, Kaneko!” a woman’s voice this time. You frowned. Whatever bird they were talking about it probably wasn’t a good idea for the kid to just run up and touch it. You were forcibly removed from your thoughts when sharp pain shot up through your wing. Oh, you were the ‘pretty bird’ the kid was talking about.
Your quirk was Parakeet, and that was fine by itself, but it came with pros and cons. Some pros were that you could fly, even though you couldn’t do that in public in most places in Japan. Some cities in Japan had laws that allowed flyers to take to the skies under strict sky traffic laws, but Fukuoka was not one of those cities. Maybe you would have been better off in Miyagi or Fukui, where you could fly freely, but at the same time, you had lived your whole life near Fukuoka, plus it was such a beautiful city, it was easier to stay here.
Another pro was simple, the thing most people think about when they say they want a mutant-type quirk. The looks. Your wings had three different colors, but the base color was a beautiful summer sky blue. At the very top of your wings, your marginal coverts were a curious shade of gray. Not dark enough to be black but not light enough to be white. Underneath were your secondary coverts, which were white as the clouds in the sky. The rest of your feathers were pretty blue colors. Your tail feathers followed the same pattern as your wings.
Everything else about your quirk wasn’t very fun. Behavioral issues that had gotten you in trouble in school and at work, especially during mating season. Plus the sheer amount of people with prejudice against mutant quirks. You’d heard it all. People thinking they had the right to touch your wings and tail, people shouting to you in a high-pitched voice to force you to repeat their words, people claiming you weren’t human, people insisting you fly them somewhere, etc etc. This was unfortunately something you dealt with on the daily.
Just like this kid grabbing your wing.
“OW! Don’t do that!” you shrieked, yanking your wing away from the kid, spinning around to see her. Her little hand was wrapped around one of your darker feathers. Fuck. Of course, she grabbed a blood feather. The little girl’s eyes welled up in tears, and she turned and ran back to her mom. Thank the stars, she let go of your feather.
You sighed, running your fingers through your wings to smooth the ruffled feathers.
“Excuse me, bird!” the mother of the child grabbed your shoulder, forcibly spinning you around to face her. She was middle-aged, and furious. “What did you do to my dear Kaneko?”
You glanced between the woman and the girl, Kaneko. Kaneko was in tears, holding onto her mother’s leg. She had to have only been three or four, she probably didn’t know any better.
“I didn’t do anything to your child, ma’am. She ran up to me and grabbed my wing, which is very painful, and actually very rude in case you were unaware.”
“I don’t give a shit!” the woman screeched. You flinched away from her. She was cursing in front of her toddler? Irresponsible. “It’s my dear Kaneko’s birthday, and I say she gets whatever she wants! You’re just a fucking bird, so why can’t you sit still and let my daughter pet you!?”
Great, she was a fucking Karen. This was just what you needed after dealing with co-workers and clients at work. Getting your feather pulled and a crazy lady all up in your face, freaking out at you. Because her daughter hurt you.
“Because it’s painful, and I’d prefer not to let strangers touch my wings.” You explained yourself calmly.
“You fucking bitch!” the woman was screaming, her finger in your face. “You selfish, greedy little pig! She’s a child, let her live her life!” Shadows danced in your peripherals as her words faded from your ears.
Cold metal was pressed up against your feathers, you dreaded the snipping noise that meant she was cutting. You could feel the scissors press into the stem of your feather before the metal blades connected, severing the feather from your wing.
“Ow! Mommy that hurts!” hot, wet, salty tears stained your cheeks. “Mommy please stop it!” You were five, getting your wings clipped for the first time.
“Shut up! Don’t be so fucking selfish!” a harsh voice snapped at you, the aggression making you shudder as you sobbed. Your pupils were blown wide in fear as you screamed. “Stop, Mommy that one hurts more!” your mother didn’t even hesitate, cutting off another feather. It hit the ground like the rest of them, but something else came with it. Blood dripped down your wings, staining the pretty blues and plopping onto the ground.
“You’re dirtying my clean floors!” mother screeched behind you. “When I finish with your wings, you’ll clean that up!”
“Mommy?” you sniffled, trying to hold back your chest-heaving sobs. “Why do I hafta have my wings clipped?”
“So you don’t fly away like your jackass of a father. I won’t let you leave Mommy.”
“Get your finger out of my face, woman!” you shouted at her, you were just seconds away from biting it off of her ugly hand. You were trembling, and you could hardly breathe what with the marching drums hammering away at your ribcage
“Don’t you tell me what to do, you inhuman!” The little girl shied away from her mom, crying harder. You opened your mouth to retort against the crazy Karen, but stopped when you saw the girl’s reaction. You knew she probably felt bad for hurting you, and now her mother was screaming and cursing, you knew how scary that was.
Your train of thought was interrupted by a whoosh of wind and a flash of red. Something wrapped around your arms, tugging you away from the woman, and something tugged the woman away from you. You looked down, seeing red feathers curled around your biceps. You’d only seen red feathers in one other place. When your own feathers were soaked in blood from your mom’s clippings. You shook your head, pushing the dark memories from your mind as you grabbed the feather and pulled it off of you as quick as possible, it flew away from you almost immediately, heading towards a man far taller than you. His golden hair was messy but very soft-looking. His slitted eyes glanced between you and the woman behind his golden goggles. His hands rested in the pockets of his large brown jacket. But none of that compared to his intimidatingly large red wings. It would be impossible not to recognize him, he was your best friend’s favorite.
Number Two Pro-Hero in Japan; Hawks
“What’s going on here?” he asked. “I heard shouting.” he said, a lazy smile resting on his face.
“This crazy bird-bitch hit my daughter!” the Karen screamed hysterically.
“Are you kidding me?” you thought she’d at least be above that, but it looked this woman didn’t give a shit about morality. “I didn’t touch her at all! She grabbed my wing then you freaked out when it hurt me!”
“Hey, now, no need to get upset.” Hawks turned to you, and something in him changed. His wings shivered, and his eyes slitted, before blowing back out to normal size. “Birdie, tell me your side of the story.” you took a step away from the hero, something about his reaction to seeing you didn’t seem natural. It creeped you out. Also, why was he calling you ‘birdie?’
“I was standing around, waiting for my friend, then this kid saw me. She must have thought my wings were pretty because she ran up to be and grabbed one of my feathers. A blood feather, actually. It hurt and I yanked my wing back and told her not to do that. This woman seemed to have some delusion that her daughter has every right to touch and hurt me and I’m supposed to- and I now quote- ‘sit still and let her pet me.’” You explained.
“Ah I see.” Hawks nodded, turning to a young man on the street. “Sir, who’s explanation is correct?” he asked.
“Uh- the bird’s?” the guy seemed out of it, just staring at the hero.
“Thanks, sir. Ma’am, could you and your daughter apologize to this nice person?”
“No way in fucking hell!” the woman screamed. “Come on, Kaneko, we’re getting out of here. And I’m throwing away all your Hawks bobbleheads, now I know he’s a fucking biased pig.” The girl glanced up at her mom before quickly running to you, taking your hand.
“I’m sorry!” she cried. “I didn’t wanna hurt you, your wings just looked so pretty!” you softened a little, crouching down and patting the girl’s head, smiling at her.
“It’s alright, I forgive you. Next time you see something pretty, tell the person it’s pretty, then ask if you can touch it.” The girl lit up, nodding eagerly.
“I will!” she exclaimed before her mother dragged her away.
“You didn’t need to apologize to that asshole. They were the one that made you cry.” she grumbled, walking down the street as she fumed.
“Poor girl…” you muttered. “Having a Karen for a mom.” you stared after her empathetically. You didn’t notice the look in the hero’s eyes, staring you up and down, shifting from one leg to the next. “Oh um, thanks Hawks,” you said, turning back to him. “For helping me.”
You froze when you saw his face, eyes seemingly staring into your soul, expression blank. He seemed to be calculating something, scanning you for information. Your blood ran cold when you noticed his pupils, thinner than paper.
“Oh!” he was shaken out of his daze by your voice, a careless smile dawning his features as his pupils returned to normal. “No problem, Birdie.” you pursed your lips, nodding. You saw a small black car turn the corner, and you honed in on the license plate. Saved at last! Your friend was here!
“Alright, uh I’ve gotta be going now…” you chuckled nervously.
“Wait, a sec, I’m gonna need your name for a report.” he dug around in his pocket, pulling out a small voice recorder and holding it up to you. “Just speak it in here.” Oh, yeah that made sense, Heroes had to make reports of everything they resolved in a day, so it was probably best to get the names of the people they help in case the PHSC needed to contact them.
“Y/n.” you spoke as clear as you could when he pressed the button on the side of the recorder. “Y/n L/n. Hawks helped me win a petty fight with a Karen.” you chuckled a little into the recorder. Hawks nodded, putting the recorder back into his pocket. He glanced back at you for a moment, expression aloof and apathetic.
“Thanks, Y/n!” he flashed you another smile before taking off into the sky, leaving you confused.
Why did he use your personal name and not your family name?
The door to the small black car opened, and your friend stumbled out, running forward a few paces before cursing.
“You fuckin kidding me, Y/n? You got to meet Hawks?” he stared at you in disbelief. “You couldn’t have made him stay a minute longer? You know he’s my celebrity crush!”
You couldn’t help but laugh. Your best friend since you were a young child, Izanagi Fujikawa. Bisexual, chaotic, and your mortal enemy.
“Iza, he’s a pro hero. He’s got shit to do!” Izanagi pouted, crossing his arms.
“I know… I’m still mad at you though.” you rolled your eyes, scoffing.
“We can deal with that.” you poked his cheek, climbing in the passenger seat before he grabbed your elbow, pulling you back towards him.
“Your wing’s all messed up- what happened?”
“I’ll explain in the car.” you shrugged him off, climbing in and buckling your seatbelt, unaware of the sharp golden eyes watching you.
Hawks was perched on a nearby building, eyes slitted as he glared down at your friend. You two were close, he could tell. Why did that make him so fucking furious? His feathers twitched as he played back the recording you’d given him. That laugh, golden and free. He looped it, your gentle voice blessing his ears and relaxing his body for him.
“Pff- hahahaha!” he closed his eyes, re-imagining your face, the soft smile gracing your angel-like features, the way your wings flapped slightly, the nearly inaudible purr vibrating in the back of your throat. He wanted you to laugh around him more, he wanted you to be around him more, he wanted you to be his.
Even if he only got to talk to you for a minute, he felt like he already knew everything there was to know about you. You didn’t like causing trouble, seeing how polite you were at first to that crazy lady. You could stand your ground though, not afraid to stand up for yourself. You were kind, and forgiving, he got that from how you treated the kid.
A sudden realization struck Hawks. It was frightening, terrifying even. He loved you. Breathtaking Y/n L/n, the pretty parakeet. Ah, but that guy. That guy was in the way. Not to worry, he could remove the… complication.
Soon.
You would belong just to him.

Chapter 6
You follow the girl into a building which supposed to house Karli. She points to a doorway signalling that she’s just up ahead. “You got ten minutes, then we’re doing things my way” Walker pushes Zemo against a wall and handcuffs him to some kind of machinery. “Aggressive, but I get it” You try your best to ignore the urge to send Walker flying out of a window. “Go ahead Sam, we’ll stay here” you say.
You all wait in silence. Bucky and you blocking the doorway that Sam went through, Zemo restrained opposite you, Leemar was sat on a ledge and Walker kept on walking up and down. He was restless, he hated not being in control. A woman having dominance over him must irk him to the core. You smile to yourself. You look at Zemo to find him looking at you already. He tilted his head lightly, glanced at Walker, and grinned in amusement as if to say ‘what’s wrong with this guy’. You shake your head widening your smile.
Walker now walks up to Bucky and you, looking over your shoulders as if he could see through walls and see Sam. “No no no this is a bad idea” he states, walking away again. “Sit tight john it hasn’t been ten minutes yet” Bucky says calmly. “Don’t do that, don’t patronise me” what is with this dude. “He knows what he’s doing” you say. After a second Walker goes “I’m goin in”. You both stop him, yet he’s persistent. “Your partner needs back up in there, do you really want his blood on your hands?”
“Bucky really?” He had let Walker and his friend pass. Luckily you had snipped the keys to Zemos handcuffs from his pocket before he left. After discreetly tossing them to Zemo you follow Bucky after Walker. A commotion was already happening between him, Sam and Karli. Fuck. Karli looked betrayed by Sam and quickly started running for the nearest door. Bucky pushes past everyone and follows her.
“See what you did Johnny” you shout. He flings the shield at you to which you duck. He is really testing your patience. Before you could find the best way to take him out he had already disappeared after Karli. “That little git”. You run after him.
Arriving just in time, you find Zemo smashing some blue vials on the ground. Walker was taking a few swift steps towards him before lifting his shield to Zemos head. Correction, Steve’s shield. Before you could stop him he launches it. “What the hell, Walker” you rush over to Zemo who now lay on the floor. However, while examining his face for any serious damage you don’t notice Walker bending down and picking the one vial that wasn’t destroyed.
Luckily, Zemo wasn’t hurt, just knocked out. You move to Walker and as he turns around you punch him in the face. “You’re going to regret that” he says. You laugh “am I?” you summon flames into your hands, daring him to make his move. At the sight of your hands he seemed to back down a little. The others rush in. “What did we miss?”
“Somethings not right about Walker” Bucky walks into the main kitchen/lounge area. “Yeah he’s batshit crazy.” You say, earning a chuckle from Sam. Zemo was lying on one of the couches, with a wet flannel you had given him upon your return to his house on his face. “You shouldn’t have given him the shield” Bucky aims this statement at Sam. “I didn’t give him the shield.” “Well Steve definitely didn’t.” You were walking over to Zemo to check on his face when the front doors fly open. “Fucking hell”
“Alright that’s it let’s go, I’m ordering you to had him over.” Walker struts into your space. “That’s not going to happen”you say. Zemo gets up behind you and begins to walk to the outer edge of the room. “Shield or no shield the only think your running in here is your mouth” sam says. You follow Zemo and whisper “this can’t be good”. Seconds after you say this a loud thud noise sounds. A long spear had wedged itself before Walker into the wall. The Dora Milaje enter. “Release him to us now” Zemo seems to be in high demand today. “Hi, John Walker, captain America” the leader doesn’t say a word. “Well, uh let’s put down the pointy sticks” “you might want to fight Bucky before fighting the Dora milaje Johnny boo” you say. “Yeah well the Dora Milaje don’t have jurisdiction here”. Now the woman speaks “the Dora milaje have jurisdiction wherever they find themselves to be”
A fight was to be expected. Walker gave them too little credit. “We should do something” Sam voices. “Looking strong John” Bucky shouts over the chaos. You pour yourself a drink while watching everyone fight. It didn’t seem fitting to I interrupt them just yet. Bucky and Sam had now got themselves involved meaning that they’d probably need back up soon. However you hadn’t notice Zemo slip into a bathroom and lock the doors behind him, you were too focused on wondering who to help.
You decide to aid Sam in his struggle against one of the Dora Milaje. She overpowered him way to easily. After some struggling both parties stopped fighting as the leader found that Zemo had left. Somehow Bucky’s arm had been removed and was lying on the floor. They soon left leaving you all of bit dishevelled. Walker looked as if he’d dropped his favourite toy in the toilet.
“I can’t believe he pulled an El chapo” the three of you were gazing at the uncovered hole in the bathroom which Zemo had escaped through. “I can” Bucky says. “Ill follow him, you guys focus on Karli” “no” they both say at the same time. “I can track him and make sure he is secured while you guys finish the mission” there was no other way and they both knew it. “Fine, but be careful.”
You waste no time in finding Zemo. However, instead of going underground, you follow the tracker Bucky had placed on him when he first escaped from prison. He had travelled far already. By the looks of the screen in front of you he was heading for Sokovia. He knew he was being tracked, yet used his one opportunity of freedom to visit his old home. You guess it was time to ask another favour from your old friend.
“Hey Sharon its me again.” You speak into your phone “Y/n? Is something wrong” “Zemo snuck out and I’m finding him now but he’s in the air” “Do you happen to have a plane I could borrow?” You hear Sharon sigh over the phone. “Head to your nearest airstrip, ill get one ready” “Thank you so much I owe you one Sharon” “The things I do for you three” you could hear the eye roll in her voice.
As promised, you find yourself on a jet plane, heading for Sokovia. You receive an alert on your phone. It read ‘Captain America brutally murders civilian’. “What” you knew he was insane but you certainly didn’t expect this. You quickly dial for Sam. “What happened?” You couldn’t get the words out quick enough. “We went to talk to Karli but Walker followed. Leemar got killed in action and he went mad” “Shit are you guys okay?” “Yeah, Karli got away though. Have you found Zemo?” “I’m nearly at his location” “Okay, we’ll meet you there” and he hung up.
The Dora Milaje must be searching for Zemo too, so you had to get to him first. Finally, the plane lands. You knew exactly where he would be, it was obvious, you didn’t have to check the tracker. The whole of the flight you thought over some options on how to get Zemo away from the Dora. Each time you came to the same conclusion. They would never stop searching for him, not until he breathes his last breath.
You find Zemo standing in front of the memorial that was built for the grieving friends and families after Ultron. You walk next to him. “I thought you’d be here sooner” he says. You ignore him and wrap your arms around his torso. Theres no other options you remind yourself. He places his arms around your shoulders. “I can’t believe you slipped away unnoticed like that” “That house has many secret escape systems, I just used that situation to my advantage” he certainly did. You part from him a little, creating enough space for you to lean into a kiss. “Sam and Bucky are on their way here, and so are the Dora” you press your forehead against his, both your hands leant against his chest. He looks down. You don’t have the strength to look into his eyes.
“We can leave, together, right now.” You stroke the back of his head. “I know”. “Will you come with me?” You sigh parting from him a little further. “Do you trust me, Helmut?” Tears begin to fill your eyes. It felt like a million knives were stabbing into your heart. You knew what you had to do but every inch of your body told you not do it. You hug him one last time and whisper “Close your eyes”. “Why are you cry-“ “Helmut please” you cut him off. The fight against yourself was hard enough already.
He does as you say. You press a kiss between his eyebrows and slowly move way from him. You walk 3 or 4 meters before turning to face Zemo. Reaching behind your back you pull out the cold, black weapon from your strap. You hesitate before pointing the barrel of the gun towards the man you had come to trust despite his past. Your hands were shaking uncontrollably as you place a finger on the trigger. A single tear slips down your cheek as you stand there, your arm raised. Time seems to slow, it didn’t feel real anymore.
Never had you imagined it would come to this but he left you no other choice. An aircraft flies over head; Sam and Bucky must have arrived. “Y/n what are you-“ Zemo was looking at you now. You have waited too long. His eyes widen when he realises what you wanted to do.
“I’m sorry” you pull the trigger.

“Feeling Icky”
Hinata, Osamu, Kenma
Synopsis: What Caring For Them When Sick Is Like
Genre: Fluff
Warnings: None
A/N: I was feeling a little bit under the weather so here’s this hehe 🤍
taglist: @derpeedoo @beanst0ck

Hinata:
• Your usually bubbly boyfriend was approaching you with a drowsy face
“Hi Sunshine, what’s up?”
• He shook his head with a pouty face making your heart break a little
• You went to hold his face only for your hands to touch his face all over
“My love you’re burning up!”
“Shhhh, someone will hear you and then I won’t be able to go to pract- ACHOO!”
• With that his head was on your shoulder groaning, you frowned and stroked his head
“You really shouldn’t go to practice if you’re feeling sick sunshine.”
• He straightened up quickly
“I feel perfectly fine! I feel like I can run a marathon! I feel like Tsuki when he sees someone get hurt!”
• You sighed and nodded at him before pressing a quick kiss on his cheek
“Come home if you’re still feeling sick!”
• He nodded before going to the club room to get ready for practice
✰ ✰ ✰ ✰ ✰
• Having stopped by the store to pick up some medicine and some food to make some soup you ended up at Hinata’s house
• Swinging the door open Natsu ran to hug your side making you hug her back gladly
“Wanna help me make some soup?”
“I love soup!”
• You sat her on the counter and had her pour water into a pot to boil
• Just as you shut off the stove Hinata walked in with a pout, you poured some soup for Natsu reminding her to be careful because it’s hot
“You’re home early?”
• He smiled at the sight of you with Natsu, but continued to speak
“Sugawara senpai made me come home.”
“As expected.”
“I feel perfectly fine!”
• You frowned and felt his forehead once again
“Your fever hasn’t gone down, here.”
• While he ate his soup and took the medicine you gave him you helped out with things his mom may have needed help with
“Y/n!”
• You walked into Hinata’s room only for him to peek out from under his big blanket
“You called?”
“Can you come here for a second?”
• You sat on the side of his bed next to him only for him to pull you into his arms making you laugh
“I’ll get sick my love!”
“Good, then I can take care of you!”
• He placed kisses all over your face while you attempted to push him away
• Safe to say, you got sick but had Hinata there to take care of you
“Y/n! The soup is burning!”
“It’s pre-made?!”

Osamu:
• ‘Samu was sick, and the only reason he liked being sick was because he loved your cooking
“Samu I’m not going to kiss you!”
“Why not!”
“Because you’re sick!”
• He always did so anyways while you would put a cold rag to his forehead
• He loves this because you always end with your hands one his face saying sweet things
“I’m sorry you’re sick baby, you’ll be okay soon.”
“I don’t like seeing you all cooped up in your bed with a frown.”
• He really appreciated the company and like I mentioned, waking up to soup on his bedside table and a pretty girl taking care of him
“I hit the lottery with you.”
“And I’ll hit you if you don’t eat your soup Samu!”
“I’m trying to be romantic!”
• He wined but listened to you regardless.
“SAMU! OH SAMU! YOURE SICK? THIS MEANS IM NEXT!”
• Atsumu jumped on the bed and landed on his brother who groaned
“Atsumu!”
“Y/n, I need some soup too I can already feeling some pain in my head.”
“It’s from you hitting yourself on the headboard?”
• He pouted while Osamu started pushing him off his bed
“You two? You two are a couple of bullies!”
• You both snickered while you continued to move hair out of the boys face and hold him while he snuggled into you
✰ ✰ ✰ ✰ ✰
*SNAP*
• You stared at a groaning Atsumu and a Osamu with a towel in his hand who just snapped a wet towel at his sick twin
“OW YOU DEMON!”
“You got sick because you want y/n to take care of you!”
“I told you! It’s a twin thing!!!”
• Atsumu whined while his brother suffocated threw a pillow at his face
• you pressed a towel to Atsumu’s forehead while he smiled in content
“You idiot this is what happens when you lick doorknobs to get sick.”
“Y/n I did not!”
• You laughed and grabbed some grape flavored cough medicine in a spoon
“No! I hate that flavor! You never made ‘Samu do this! It’s favoritism!”
“....he’s my boyfriend....”
“I did take that nasty medicine!”
• While Atsumu shook his head and moved it all over Osamu grabbed his head to still him and forced his mouth open while you shoved the spoon in
“SWALLOW IT!”
“Ghahhdhahdha NO-*chokes*”
• You watched Atsumu silently cry a little while you laughed and wrapped your arms around Osamu’s waist
• He held onto your arms, before turning and placing a kiss on your temple
“You can head home, I’ll take care of him from here.”
• You nodded and packed your things
“Shes leaving me?!”
“Don’t say it like she’s your girlfriend!”
• Osamu walked you to the door and wrapped his arms around you pulling you in for a kiss
“Thank you for taking care of me my love.”
• He whispered against your lips while you smiled and nodded sending him back inside
“ATSUMU!”
“W-WHAT IS T-HAT!”
*Cue Screaming*
• Yeah you couldn’t leave Osamu would Kill his brother

Kenma:
• You woke up that morning knowing something was wrong so when you saw your boyfriend at school asleep at his desk you rushed over to him
“Hey honey, what’s wrong?”
• He looked up with pink tinted cheeks, pulling you into his arms and cuddling his face into your neck
“Kenma?”
“Hm?”
“You okay?”
• He nodded
“Never felt better!”
• He smiled at you which made you feel his face
“You’re burning up!”
“I know I’m hot y/n but you don’t have to yell it out.”
• He laughed while you furrowed your eyebrows but still placed a kiss onto his forehead, to which he sighed and leaned into
• The whole lunch period you fed him some small portions of food while he rested his face on your shoulder
• During practice he lazily dragged himself in and you followed with a frown
“You two fighting?”
“THE GIRLS ARE FIGHTING!!!”
• You sighed at laughed lightly at Lev’s words before pulling Kenma’s head onto your shoulder and answering Kuroo
“Kenma is sick.”
“I’m not sick!”
“Kenma if you’re sick you shouldn’t practice today.”
“I’m not si- wait really?”
• You raised and eyebrow when Kenma started coughing like crazy
“Y/n can you take me home I really don’t feel good.”
• You laughed lightly and sent him to get his things
“Please take care of him y/n, make sure he’s not playing too many video games and actually gets enough rest.”
“Of course.”
• He patted your head before Kenma came back and you held onto his hand heading to his house
✰ ✰ ✰ ✰ ✰
• Automatically as you set foot into your slippers Kenma was sliding into his room and hopping on his game
“Kenma Kozume!”
• He froze while you stomped into his room looking like you were an angry Medusa
“Put the game down!”
“Just let me be sick!”
• You looked through the cabinets of his house and found some medicine for him to take
• Each time he found some way to avoid the medicine
“I’m allergic to grape.”
“HUH?”
• You sighed when you finally held Kenma close your your chest as his little breaths fanned your face while he slept
• Kuroo came to visit after practice just as Kenma began to wake up
“He actually slept?”
“Yeah, he wasn’t too happy about it though.”
• You pointed at the games you took from him causing Kuroo to laugh
“We have a practice match early next week.”
“I’m still sick.”
“Against who?”
“Karasuno, supposedly shrimpy wants a rematch now that he knows how to play better.”
“WHERES THE GRAPE MEDICINE?!”
“I thought you were allergic?”
“He’s allergic to grape medicine?”
• Yeah it didn’t take him long to get better after that, he was very cooperative

Blood Moon
Demetri Volturi x fem!swan!reader
Warning: Angst?
A/N: WELCOME!!! My new series!! This takes place in the beginning of eclipse! This is very different then what I usually write!lemme know if ya wanna be on the taglist!♡
Y/N Swan, never felt like she had a true place in this world. Her family always ignored her, Bella mistreated her, and Charlie was always busy with trying to get Bella to feel loved, and feel wanted, he neglected you. You got the fact she was separated from her family, but you were too. You lived with Charlie, while Renè got Bella. That was the agreement, and you were fine with that. Everything was fine, up until Bella met Edward. Then the whole, Italy thing happened. You and Charlie were going ballistic waiting for her to call. But needless to say, you were furious at Edward.
You spent your nights alone in your room, binge watching teen wolf, or listening to music. You had no friends, but you really didn't care either. You preferred staying in.
It was a very quiet afternoon, a little too quiet. Charlie had gone off to work until nine twenty-four pm. You had time to kill, until he got off, like you always did. You decided to do your homework on your computer, you had a twenty five paged essay due tomorrow for English class, and Mr. Gibson, was a very strict teacher.
You changed into a hoodie and some black ripped leggings, topped with a orange beanie. Basically your everyday attire.
You sat in front of the computer and began your essay, when Bella basically busted in your door screaming like a lunatic.
"Y/N! You said what to Edward?!" She screamed in a high pitched annoying voice.
You simply told him to 'go find a nice ripe hole, crawl in it and die, like the worthless monster he is' for the way he treated Bells.
"Snitch told? Wow, okay." You said rolling your eyes. "I apologized, I didn't mean it to go that far, I was angry. You know I'm a pacifist, you know I don't mean harm." You calmly said typing up your English assignment. Even though it was hard to focus with her yelling.
"You had no right, Y/N! You ruined everything he thinks he isn't good enough for me even more now!" She yelled in frustration.
"As he should. He isn't good enough for you, I speak the truth, point blank periodt." You said continuing to type your paper.
"Yeah, you speak the truth, that's why you're gonna be alone forever, like you are now." Bella said spitefully, and then soon regretted it.
You looked at her with tears in your eyes, it had felt like your heart had been ripped out of your chest. You knew your sister didn't really like you, but you never thought she'd say that. That was your biggest fear, and she knew it.
You got up closing your computer and pushing past her, grabbing your boots, and ran right out the front door.
"Y/N! I'm sorry! Don't leave, dad will be home soon!" Bella begged as she followed you outside. "It's dark!" She screamed.
"As if you care!" You yelled back.
You took off running down the street as fast as you possibly could, before she could see you cry. It was slightly raining making the weather more colder than it actually was. You had no clue where to go, as you had no where to go.
You hid in a dusty ally filled with crates behind your favorite coffee shop. You usually came here when you needed to get away. She was right, you were a nobody. You slid your back down the brick wall plopping on the wet ground covered in leaf's and twigs. That's when you broke down in tears sobbing.
That's also when you heard it, twigs snapping. You flung your head around to see a guy who looked as if he was a vampire as well, he looked nothing like the Cullens, he was tall, pale, and very nasty looking with dark red eyes. He had stubble on his face, as well as a nasty grin.
You moved and tried running away, but he had other plans, in a swift quick movement, he threw you to the other end of the ally, your back hitting the brick quite hard, a loud scream escaped your lips as you fell to the ground with a thud.
He then leaned down in front of you and whispered, "This is from Victoria." His voice was deep and raspy, you had the urge to vomit as soon as he opened his mouth. And your last dying thought was, how this was Bella's fault. You were about to die and it was her fault. You didn't wanna go out like this, you tried pepper spraying him in the eyes but that did nothing. It just made him more angry.
He leaned in and bit your leg. You screamed in pain and felt a burning sensation go throughout your body. But just as your vision went blurry, he was viciously yanked away by someone much taller and leaner than the other vampire.
But the only thing you could hear was your screams and sobs. The agony spreading throughout your body was unbearably painful. Undoubtedly the worst pain you've ever felt.
The man then crouched next to you, just a few seconds later, and whispered, "It's okay Amore, I'm gonna make it stop." He whispered in a thick accent that made you feel a fluttery feeling, even with the pain. And with his promise, he then began sucking the venom out of your leg. You screamed loudly again in pain, but the pain soon faded. It barely hurt now, you were just left with a dizzy feeling. He quickly pulled away making sure you were still okay.
His presence alone made you feel safer, like you were wanted, like there was a true plan for you, other than the painful loneliness that was your horrible life.
"It's okay, you're okay, let's get you to the hospital." He whispered as he wrapped a cloak around you, instantly making you warmer, "May I pick you up?" He whispered again in his gentle accent. You nodded and winced quickly after. And with your permission he gently picked you up in his cold arms. You rested your head on his chest trying to forget about the pain and events that had occurred before. He ran you to the hospital in a blink of a eye.
you felt very safe, and very drawn to this stranger. Like it was fate he found you. The words just slipped out, "M-My angel.." You whisper mumbled, and the next thing you know, everything around you got extremely blurry and you passed out.
Demetri's pov:
I dropped her off at the hospital, but left my cloak on her hospital bed. For the first time, I didn't care about anything else except for her safety. It took every fiber in my body to stop from killing her. It wasn't without difficulty, but I managed to somehow do it. I was going to meet with the rest of the coven, hoping they wouldn't notice my disappearance.
That's when I saw Scarlett, outside the hospital. She was wearing her usual, black and gold cloak with her hood up to keep from getting seen by any humans. "Uh, Excuse me? Excuse you! What are you doing Demetrius? My father won't be happy about you saving some random human!" She said in a annoyed tone.
"Aro, can deal. She is my mate. You would do the same if that were Jane!" I said and took off running towards the rest of the coven. She stood there glaring for a second, before following close behind me.
"What took so long?" Jane said emotionless as always.
I looked at Scarlett with pleading eyes. I knew that if Aro got word of her, he would kill her for being human.
Scarlett smirked and kissed Jane on her cheek, "Demetri got thirsty, we fed." She looked back at me and mouthed, 'you owe me' I kindly nodded my head. I'd do anything for her, as long as she didn't tell. I did owe her big time.
"Mhm, Well..." Jane looked at Scarlett, and ever so slightly twitched her lip up into a slight smirk, and back at the chaos we were dealing with in Seattle. "We have a bigger problem, then Demetri's thirst."
I let out a unesasary sigh, thanks to Scarlett, I had time to come up with a idea on how to hide her from the Volturi. This definitely wouldn't be a easy thing to do, but I had to try.

PAIRING: donghyuck x reader bodyguard!donghyuck
WARNINGS: mentions of jaemin taeyong and jeno. swearing, hospital, gunshot, angst, smut (oral sex f and m receiving), unprotected sex
WORD COUNT: 3,4K
Donghyuck looked up. Stared at himself in the mirror. It had been four days since the incident and you hadn't woken up yet.
That was when it set in, that’s when the tears started. Donghyuck gripped the sides of the sink and bowed his head low, chest shuddering with strained, quiet sobs. It was all coming back: the wetness of your blood on his hands, your pained whimpers, your 'I love you, I forgive you.'
He dreads to think that… that it may be the last time that you—
No. No. He couldn't — he couldn't think like that. You were alive, that was what matters. You would be awake soon and you would be fine and he was not going to torment himself thinking otherwise.
Deep breath. Deep breath. He straightened up, rubbed his nose and his eyes, blinked away the redness. He rejoined the rest where they had gathered. Taeyong and Jaemin stood against the wall, talking quietly between themselves; Jeno sitting on one of the chairs, texting someone. When they noticed his approach, all attention shifted to him.
"Uhm..." Taeyong called his attention. "They're gonna remove the vent since she's breathing on her own now."
Donghyuck nodded and sat next to Jeno. "Her mom is with her right now." Jaemin said.
“She’ll be okay,” Jeno whispered to him. "It's a good sign they removed the vent. She’ll be okay.”
You would be okay. Donghyuck reassured himself.
(.)
“Fuck.”
It wasn't the most graceful way to emerge from unconsciousness, you had to admit. Then again, emerging from unconsciousness in itself wasn't a graceful act. The lights were too bright and your mouth was too dry and you were somehow too warm and too hot at the same time — and don’t even get you started on the throbbing ache radiating throughout your chest, arms, and general upper-body area. It was hell.
Things started glitching out when you thought about how the hell you got there in the first place — you remember fighting Yuta, falling down the stairs and seeing Donghyuck's face, or was it a dream? You could guess what happened next.
“Hello to you too,” a voice said — not just a voice, your mind corrected you. Donghyuck, and immediately you’re seeking him out, trying to push yourself up. “Easy, easy.”
He came into view, hovering above you. One hand gently pressed down on your stomach, forcing you back down. He tried a smile — it’s more of a wince, really, especially when he was frowning like that. “You shouldn’t be sitting up yet. You’ve been out for five days.”
“Noted.” You grimaced. The pain in your torso wasn't exactly the type that you can just push through, so you don’t doubt it. “Yuta…?”
“Dead. Gunshot wound.” His eyes drifted to the general area where your own gunshot wound was, pulsing and throbbing with pain beneath the bandages and hospital gown. “Any pain? Need me to call a doctor?”
“No. No, I’m fine. I mean, as fine as… you know…,” A beat of silence, and you casted a glance around the room noticing the bunch of flower bouquets pretty much everywhere. “Taeyong or Jaemin?”
"Both of them actually," Donghyuck said.
You tried to giggle but it was too painful. You sighed. "Where are they?"
"I told them to go back to get some rest and clean up.” It was only then that he sat back down, pulling his chair closer to your bedside. You watched with timid eyes as he ran a hand over his face. He hasn't slept.
“You look tired, sweetie,” you said quietly. “You haven't been taking care of yourself, have you?”
“You were shot in the chest,” he was quick to interrupt, voice steady and stoic as usual, his eyes narrowing defensively, “You were in surgery for four hours, unconscious for five days. I was worried.”
“I’m fine.”
“You almost weren’t, (Y/N).” There was a tremble in his voice that made your heart plummeted. "You're here because of me. I know I shouldn't even be here but I couldn't leave you knowing Yuta wanted to kill you. I love you."
"I'm sorry," he murmured and held your hand carefully, "I'm so sorry. I never expected to fall for you. You got me. I love you, (Y/N). I don't expect you to forgive me, but if, for some reason you do I hope you know I love you deeply and I would never hurt you."
“Hyuck,” you muttered softly, intertwining your fingers with his. The warmth of him dimed the pain for a second, and you took a deep, steadying breath. “I told you I forgive you. You came back for me and I cannot assure you I’ll never get hurt, okay? And neither can you..."
You sighed. "You hurt me yes, and I'm still shocked by what you... do, but I love you, too."
Donghyuck was suddenly crying and sniffling and you sat trying to not hurt yourself and cupped his face in your free hand. "Hey, look at me. Baby, look at me," having you to guide his eyes towards you instead of around the room. “This wasn’t your fault, do you hear me? He’s gone, and you’re not. You’re here, and he’s not. I love you."
He clasped his hands over yours, bottom lip trembling, “(Y/N), I’m so sorry."
"If you keep apologizing I will throw you out of this room, Lee Donghyuck," you stared at him and he giggled and then placed a kiss on your hands.
Donghyuck sighed and then frowned. "There's still one thing I need to do."
(.)
“No way in hell!” You stared at Donghyuck and tried to stand up from his bed.
You had been discharged from the hospital 3 days ago and you still had to rest since you not only got shot but had one broken rib, a minor contusion and some bruises all over your body.
Donghyuck pressed down on your stomach with his hand gently, forcing you back down. You grunted at him and you grabbed his arm. “Promise me you wont do such a stupid thing.” You looked him in the eye.
Donghyuck sighed. “I have to do it, (Y/N). I need to turn myself in to the police.”
You closed your eyes trying to stop the tears that were forming in your eyes. “I don’t care about your past, I only care about your future.”
Donghyuck sat next to you and cupped your face in his hands. “Look at me,” he asked you and you kept your eyes closed. “(Y/N), look at me,” he asked you again and you opened them, looking him in the eye. “You deserve someone better.”
“Bullshit,” you hissed and removed his hands from your face. “I don’t want anyone else. Listen to me, Lee Donghyuck, I forgave you once but I will not forgive you if you leave me.”
“Are you threatening me?” Donghyuck raised an eyebrow looking at you.
"I'm warning you, love," you smirked at him.
Donghyuck chuckled and nodded, placing a kiss on your hand. "Okay."
"Kiss me," you demanded.
Donghyuck caressed your cheek with one hand, eyes locked to your lips before he moved it down to your left collarbone tracing some circles on your skin.
You sighed. His touch was electric, sending shivers down your spine. Tilting your head by framing your chin with his lean fingers, he brought his lips to yours, lightly at first but scorchingly deep and dominant once he received your confirmation. As if you were untied from the knot that was holding you back, you succumbed desperately to his touch, fingers fisting against the fabric of his collar, and focusing to keep up with every movement of his lips.
He pulled away before you were even the least satisfied, hooded eyes gleaming under the dim lighting. You whined and he smiled. "What was that about?"
"I wanna keep kissing you," you growled.
"I know so well, baby. You will want more than just a keep and you can't make any rough movements," Donghyuck winked at you.
"Hey!" You laughed and pushed him. "That's not true. I do know how to hold it."
Donghyuck pecked you and beamed at you. "Get some rest, love."
"I will, but you owe me this one," you tightened his thigh.
"Deal," Donghyuck smiled and stood up. "I'll be outside if you need me okay?"
You nodded.
Donghyuck got out of his room and closed the door behind him swiftly. He went to the kitchen where Jeno was talking on the phone and eyed him. Jeno nodded. “I will, thanks. Bye.” Jeno hung up and placed his phone on the counter. “Did you tell her?”
Donghyuck nodded with his head and leaned against the kitchen sink. Jeno sighed. “Oh man, I hate this. I didn’t want to do this right now but I have no choice.”
Donghyuck frowned and looked at him. “What are you talking about?”
“I’m not an accountant,” Jeno revealed. “I work for the NIS.”
Donghyuck’s mouth was opened wide. “You what?”
“I'm an agent working for NIS,” Jeno confessed. “When I met you I didn't know what you did but then everything kinda fell into place, you know? Then we got a suspect profile and I knew it was you.”
“We’ve known each other for 5 years,” Donghyuck looked at him.
“And a year ago I knew it was you,” Jeno sighed. “But you are my friend and you stood by my side during the worst time of my life."
"So..." He tapped the back of his nape. "I told the NIS you were working with me. I got them every information they needed: pictures, text messages, emails... everything."
"Hold on," Donghyuck shook his head, "You're helping me?"
Jeno nodded. "(Y/N)'s father is going to jail thanks to you, somehow. So, you'll have to go to court and listen to the judge's verdict."
"I'm going to jail anyways," Donghyuck sighed.
"Or not," Jeno shrugged. "They might put you in house arrest for months."
"(Y/N) is gonna freak out," Donghyuck panted.
“Nothing beats you being an assassin,” Jeno teased and Donghyuck glared at him. “Too soon?”
“Yeah.”
Jeno stared at the floor for a minute and then looked at Donghyuck. “Just, don’t try to run away, okay? I got you.”
“Why would you think I’m gonna run away?” Donghyuck laughed. “I want to do the right thing for the first time, Jeno. I won’t.”
Jeno nodded. “Great, because otherwise I will beat your ass.”
Donghyuck rolled his eyes. “You could never.”
“Wanna bet?” Jeno raised an eyebrow.
“You’re so annoying, god,” Donghyuck snorted.
Jeno chuckled and then cleared his throat. “I think you should contact a lawyer, just in case.”
“Oh, Jaemin got me one already,” Donghyuck said. “I’m seeing him tomorrow morning.”
Donghyuck bit his lip and then frowned. “Is there a chance you could give me a few days?”
“I can’t promise it, but I’ll see what I can do,” Jeno shook his head.
“Thanks, bud.”
(.)
"(Y/N)?" Donghyuck called in a soft voice, careful not to wake you up. It had been 2 weeks since the incident and you were back home and trying to go back to your regular life.
To his surprise, you called from the kitchen where you were currently doing the dishes. "Hello." He greeted once he found you, giving her a kiss on the cheek. "Why are you still up?" he asked and noticed the time on the wall, 12:30 am.
You finished the plates and then turned to him, "I finished my paperwork late and I couldn't sleep," you said as you watched him remove his wristwatch and set it on the table, and then he untied his tie and unbuttoned his shirt. That gesture made him so hot that you bit her lip, wanting to pounce at him. You gulped when he glanced at you, knowing full well that he caught you checking him out. "You went to the lawyer's?" you asked and he nodded, sitting down.
You went behind him, holding his shoulders and giving them a light squeeze that made him visibly relax. "Did you eat? I'll just heat up something."
Donghyuck held your right hand situated on his shoulder as he shook his head. "I had dinner," he claimed. "Coffee will be great." And you smiled, moving across the kitchen to get the coffee maker and prepare him the drink. The sudden loss of your physical touch made him sigh, maybe it's not coffee that he wanted.
He was admiring you backside while doing the coffee, your beautiful hair, your waist, and sexy hips. Even your legs looked great on the shorts you were wearing.
You were surprised when you felt Donghyuck's presence behind you, arms wrapped on your body. You hummed when he gave you a back hug, head nuzzling on the crook of your neck. Donghyuck gave you a kiss on the neck that made you giggle. "I have a meeting tomorrow, if anyone sees a hickey they're gonna be so confused." And Donghyuck chuckled.
His hands found themselves on the spot that he liked the most, giving it a little squeeze that made you chuckle. "No hickeys. Got it," he whispered as he put kisses on your exposed neck, kneading her breasts. You just smiled at how needy Donghyuck was being, liking how he massaged your boobs and played with the protruding nipples.
"Do you feel better?" He inquired, still kissing your neck.
"Now you ask?" You laughed as you turned and removed his suit, letting it drop on the floor.
Donghyuck chuckled and traced his finger on your lower lip. "I had to make sure."
"I'm okay," You kissed him.
"So..." You started with a lot of mischief in your voice, fingers undoing the buttons of his dress shirt. "I was thinking that, since you can't give me a hickey, I'll give you one instead," you claimed then sucked Donghyuck's chest, making him groan. You licked the spot and gave it a kiss before admiring the red spot you created in contrast to his skin. "I've come to the realisation, one isn't enough." And you started sucking spots on his chest, putting color on his golden skin.
"Oh God, (Y/N)," he called when you bent down to give his stomach marks as well.
You knelt down and it surprised him when you removed his pants, putting down his boxers that was a pool under him now. "Baby," he called and you shushed him while fisting his growing member. Donghyuck closed his eyes shut when you licked the side of his cock, biting his lip to prevent a series of groans to emerge.
You gave the tip a lick, kissing it as it oozes precum. "Baby." he called once again, looking down on you. Damn, you looked so hot kneeling in front of him like that.
"Yes, baby?" You smiled at him.
"Don't tease," Donghyuck warned you.
You winked at him before doing the deed.
Your mouth was really hot or maybe because his cock was really sensitive but it felt so good that groans escaped his lips. You sucked his cock, playing with it inside your mouth and even fondling his balls. His hands reached for your hair, tugging it in a ponytail as he bobbed your head up and down on his cock. Donghyuck hissed, badly wishing his control wouldn't spill out, but with a mouth so good like this how can he not fuck your mouth?
"Baby, you're so fucking good." he complimented as the hold on hair got tighter. You swallowed his cock, deepthroating him that made him groan. "Oh God, (Y/N)." And that was it, his control going down the drain. He thrusts into your mouth with so much power that if not for his hold on your hair, you might bump your head on the counter. He kept on groaning as he fuck you mouth and felt himself cumming in no time. His cum filled your mouth, swallowing it.
When Donghyuck came back from his high, he gave you a mischievous smile as he grabbed your chin with two fingers. "Open up," you opened your mouth and he checked you had swallowed everything. "Good girl."
"I'm not done with you yet." You said and you kissed on the marks that you had done to his body.
Your lips were together once again as you struggled to get to your bedroom and you pushed him on the bed, removing your shirt and sitting on top of him. Donghyuck couldn't believe that he was already naked, yet here you were there, in your bra and shorts. "This is so unfair, you should get naked as well." He revolted which made you laugh.
You gave him a kiss and then bit the lower part of his lip. "But this is about you for the meantime. I want to make you feel good," you said then sucked a spot by his neck that made him groan. You started filling his skin with red patches that would obviously show in the next few days.
Your kisses went down until you reached his semi-hard cock and you placed a quick kiss on his tip. You took off your bra and Donghyuck held your breasts. "You're gorgeous. Shit."
He pushed you to the bed and his mouth kissed your stomach and you moaned. "Hyuck..." You called. "I want to make you feel good..." You whined but he didn't stop his adventure of going down until he was at the waistband of your shorts. "Fuck, Donghyuck." And you knew what would happen now that he was pulling down your shorts and underwear.
His tongue immediately licked your clit and you moaned, arching your back at the sensation. Damn, Lee Donghyuck and his fucking mouth. He parted your legs and started fucking you with his tongue, making you scream in pleasure. His thumb started circling your clit as he alternated the sucking and licking of your pussy. You could feel your soul being sucked by Donghyuck's mouth. And yes, that's how amazing he was. You came in no time, letting him suck everything.
He grinned while rubbing his mouth using the back of his hand and that gesture looked so sexy. "Oh, God. Fuck me," you exclaimed that made him smirk.
"Whatever you need, baby," Donghyuck mumbled while jerking his cock and positioning it on your entrance, making you nod. His cock sank inside you and he groaned at how tight you were. And the thought that it was only him fucking your pussy made the beast in him growl that instead of the usual gentle thrusts, he was jerking into you violently.
You could feel your body being thrown to bed with each thrust and his cock hitting you in the pleasure spot. With the way that he was going, you were sure you'd get so sore the next day.
"Donghyuck!" You shouted as one hand grabbed the sheets of your bed and the other scratched his back, wanting something to claw on. He was jerking into you real hard that you could hear his balls slamming against your skin.
"Yes, fuck baby." he cursed while jerking in you in such power and speed, driving both their orgasms. You came with a mind rippling orgasm and immediately felt him filling you up. What surprised you was when he didn't pull away after cumming in you.
"Fuck," you whispered, catching your breath. "I think you broke more ribs."
Donghyuck laughed, breathless and kissed your neck. "God, I'm sorry. Are you hurt?"
You shook your head and smiled at him. "That was amazing. Fuck, let's do it again."
"What about your meeting?" He asked, while kissing your chest.
"Fuck it," You moaned when he bit one of your lips.
"Get on all fours, baby," he whispered in your ear.
You knew it was going to be a long night.

Surprisingly Soft

Word count: 1,451
A/N: I’m back for a short time. Probably only this for now, but i’m trying to get back into it!
Warnings: blood, Labor, stuff....
for @donnaintx and @foxyjwls007
“I was told my baby wouldn’t come until I killed the Butcher of Blaviken.” Myin said as she groaned slightly. Jaskier took a full step into the rain before he realized what he was doing and got back under the cover, but Geralt was still as he took in the sight of her. A petite woman with big dark eyes and sweat wet hair whose only hope of ending her living hell was to kill him.
“How are you supposed to kill him?” Jaskier asked incredulously once he had processed her statement.
“Honestly I didn’t even know who the Butcher was until I was eight months along. Everything had been normal and going smoothly that I didn’t really think about it. I was on the move, my lover’s mistress had him killed shortly after I had been cursed. Midwives told me everything was fine, and I was likely to have an easy delivery with a healthy baby three months ago. Two weeks after my baby was supposed to be born, I remembered the curse and went out looking for anything I could find on the Butcher of Blaviken.” Myin looked from Geralt to Jaskier. “I heard your song about a month ago, and here we are.”
“Here we are,” Geralt said slowly. It was the first thing he said since Myin admitted she was probably going to try and kill him. “Words are very important with curses. What were the exact words?”
“Something about trapping the truth within until death is delivered to the Butcher of Blaviken,” Myin whimpered as her body cramped up. Geralt looked over at Jaskier with something akin to hope in his eyes.
“Myin I’m pretty sure there is a way out of your curse without you actually having to kill anyone,” Geralt said. Jaskier moved closer to Myin as she slumped back and let her eyes flutter closed. “Myin?” Geralt leaned forward to brush the back of his hand against her cheek. “She’s burning up. We have to move.” Geralt lifted Myin and carried her to Roach with Jaskier in tow.
“Do you think she will make it?” Jaskier asked grabbing his things quickly and only being met with Geralt’s stoic silence.
The night was late, and winds blew hard when the three of them came across an outpost.
“Roach,” The Witcher made eye contact with his horse then pulled Myin down from the steed. It wandered off to graze and Jaskier opened the door for Geralt to carry Myin inside the warm building.
“We need a room,” Geralt grunted at the innkeeper. The older man gave him a disgruntled look before turning to look at Jaskier. The innkeeper’s wife handed Geralt a key.
“Should I call for a doctor?” She asked as Myin bit her lip from crying out. She had regained some consciousness on the road, but her contractions had gotten stronger.
“No, she’s not ready for that yet,” Jaskier said soothingly. “I’m actually a bard. It would be an honor for me to play for your house as payment for our room and some food.”
Geralt left Jaskier there to talk about niceties with innkeeper and carried Myin into the room the woman had given him a key for. He laid her down on the mattress and Myin scurried to pull her skirts up over her knees.
“Mm, Geralt it hurts,” She groaned as she white knuckled the hem of her dress. “Pleases help me,” she said as tears spilled down her cheeks.
“Tell me the truth about who you are, Myin.” Geralt was standing next to the bed pouring some water into a bowl and finding whatever he could use as towels and blankets.
“What are you talking about?” Myin sobbed.
“You weren’t sleeping with another woman’s husband. Why are you cursed and why am I involved?” Geralt stripped off most of his armor and knelt at Myin’s spread legs.
“My love and I owed a mage our lives.” She whispered as she tried to bear down. “He promised us our freedom in return for help with something that he claimed we would never miss.” Myin huffed a laugh as her contraction ebbed.
“Oh gods!” Jaskier cried as he flung a hand up to cover his face and quickly close and lock the door to the room when he saw them.
“Shut up, Jaskier,” Geralt growled over his shoulder.
“I found out I was pregnant three weeks later,” Myin continued looking up as Jaskier came over to brush her hair out of her face. “He made me come back all the time, to his hideout. Disgusting and filthy palace,” Myin spat her distaste. “He would cast magic or make me drink potions. He never said what they were for, but I knew he had a plan for my child. So, we ran away. Or at least we planned to.” Myin sighed deeply as her grief washed over her. “A woman came into town and killed several men. My lover included. I saw her one time when I went back to town. I was sick and had gone to the mage like a stupid girl. He knew what we had been planning and tried to convince the woman to kill us. He cursed me. Told me that my child the reason that my lover was dead. That had I done what he asked the woman would have been stopped. Instead, he had to hire a Witcher to kill the woman, and it had cost him dearly.”
“Renfri,” Geralt said in understanding as he held Myin’s hand. Her whole body trembled with need as they talked.
“I don’t know what the mage did to me, or my child. But I know that he hated you, and he told me that I would bring you your demise.” Myin looked at him guiltily. Geralt looked at Myin and then quickly up at Jaskier.
“Have the innkeepers wife draw a bath and bring lots of salt.” He said as he moved to finagle Myin out of her dress. Jaskier ran out of the room.
“What are you doing?” Myin asked letting her clothes come off.
“You weren’t cursed. Not really. There was magic cast on you, but I think we can wash it away.” Geralt said as he worked her braid out of her hair.
“Your hands are soft,” Myin mumbled numbly as the Witcher smoothed down her hair.
“Do you have any other knots?” Geralt asked as the innkeeper’s wife and Jaskier shoved a bathtub into the room and then began filling it with warm water. Myin held up her hand showing a twisted leather ring.
“It was all that he could afford,” She mused sadly. Another contraction took her and she moved onto her knees to try and get gravity to work for her.
“Leave,” Jaskier said to the innkeeper’s wife before he moved over to Myin and helped her stand and move to the bathtub. Geralt had grabbed the bit of leather band and was working to untie the knots that kept it together.
“Geralt, something’s wrong,” Myin groaned at the edge of the tub as the first tie of the leather started to come loose. “Fuck!” Myin squealed as she squatted deep with Jaskier’s help and his own cry of pain.
“It’s working, get in the tub,” Geralt instructed as he continued to fidget with the leather. Jaskier took some of the salt in his hands and started to scrub Myin’s body gently with it. He took a jug and held it at the ready as Geralt put a hand up to stop him. “Not yet,” The Witcher instructed. He twisted and pulled at the leather band until he grabbed the last knot.
“Now,” he said as he pulled the knot free, and the water pour over the top of Myin’s head. She cried out in surprise and put a hand between her legs in shock and agony.
“I can feel the baby,” she whimpered. Jaskier dropped the empty container and put his hands on Myin to steady her shaking body. Myin shrieked as the water in the tub took on a bright red hue and then she sagged into Jaskier’s grip and lifted her babe against her chest.
“She should breathe more and scream less,” Geralt chuckled as he took in the sight of the baby girl and let a small smile grace his lips.
“I think she has bigger problems,” Myin smiled at the White Wolf, it faded quickly though. “How will she cause your demise?” Geralt shook his head in uncertainty.
“Did you all just see me deliver this baby? Because I will not be doing it again,” Jaskier said as he stepped away from the tub and promptly fainted.

E&T: The Price to Pay
Hello welcome back to actually whumping Erebus 💕 I missed his screams
←Previous - Masterlist - Next→
Ingredients: tooth whump, noncon body modification, noncon touching (unsexy)
Far too soon, Erebus found himself immobilized and staring up at Zander the rat once again. They’d let him keep his shirt on this time, but that wasn’t exactly reassuring as that made it much more likely that she was going to mess with his face or somewhere else that would be difficult to hide.
That is, if he ever even got the luxury of hiding the thing he was turning into.
Neteri came over, returning his wary gaze with a beaming smile. “How’s my favorite test subject?”
“I’m pretty sure I’m your only test subject.”
“Well, yeah, but that doesn’t mean I don’t love ya.” She ruffled his hair affectionately, and he hated that he was starting to like it when she touched him like that. “And even if I had other ones, you’d still be my favorite.”
“That so.”
“Yeah! You’re just so cute and well-behaved.”
“I-I’m just not stupid. I know fighting doesn’t do me any good. I’m not doing it for you or anything.”
“And that’s perfectly fine, as long as the end result is the same!” She gave his head one final pat before turning and putting her gloves on. “Now, let’s get started. This should be pretty quick and easy since we’re...going to take things a little more slowly. Well okay not slowly but just...sticking to my original plan. Which means starting with the simpler procedures and working our way up. In conclusion, today really won’t be anything too bad.” She patted his cheek. “Open up.”
“I still don’t-ahh.” Erebus was expecting her to gag him again, but he felt his stomach drop when she shoved the rubber block in between his teeth instead. If she wasn’t going to do something to his tongue again, that meant...she wasn’t going to mess with his teeth, was she?
She held up a pair of pliers, confirming his worst fears. His abject terror must have shown on his face, as she gave him a sympathetic look and squeezed his hand in her gloved one. “Just two, okay? I’ll be quick, I promise. And it’s either this or I give you a tail, which I assume you don’t want a tail.” Erebus tried to shake his head, because he most certainly did not want a tail, but the strap around his forehead prevented him from moving much. “Uh, thumbs up if you don’t want a tail and thumbs down if-wait no you can’t move your wrist.” She stared into space for a moment before coming to the solution Erebus had been thinking of from the beginning, which was pulling the rubber block out of his mouth so he could speak.
“No, I don’t want a tail,” he said tiredly. “I really don’t want you to...to pull my teeth either, but if I had to pick between the two...I’d really rather not have a tail.”
“You sure? It would be a cool tail. Venomous.”
“I am now even more sure that I absolutely do not want it.”
“You’re no fun.” She shoved the block back in, and Erebus found himself a little bit calmer, because at least he sort of chose this. Not that he in any way consented to what she was about to do to him, but he preferred it over the alternative, which was guaranteed to make him feel completely inhuman. He squeezed his eyes shut and tried to steady his breathing as she started to move towards his mouth.
The sensation of the pliers against his tooth was...unpleasant, to say the least. The cold, hard metal scraped against it, sending horrific echoes through his skull. His heart started beating even faster as their grip tightened and he felt her start to pull. Was she even strong enough to do this oh Drottkia there was so much pressure building up but he knew once it gave it would-
Hurt like hell, lighting up his entire face with agony oh it felt like someone had stabbed the spot his tooth used to be with a molten nail and he tried not to scream he really did there was blood dripping down into the back of his throat and already something cold and wet was pressing into the tender flesh around the hole she’d just made it was so cold and one, two, three now it was itching, burning, agonizingly white-hot and there was nothing, nothing else besides anguish as the foreign tooth wormed its way in.
At some point after the pain mostly died out, Neteri removed the block, allowing him to relax his jaw. He tried to catch his breath as he did so, his throat already raw from screaming. Hesitantly, he moved his tongue towards the new tooth, foolishly hoping it wasn’t-it was.
A fang. A long, sharp fang. He had a fang.
And in a few minutes, he was getting another one.
“You did so well, bud, halfway done,” Neteri reassured as she gently wiped some of the blood from around his mouth. “Can you bite together for me?” He begrudgingly did so, resisting the pointless urge to bite her as she examined the new tooth. It hadn’t aligned quite right, and it took a few tries for her to get it right, each time involving her painfully twisting it with the pliers.
When Erebus’s upper and lower jaws finally fit together properly, she shoved the block back in and gripped his remaining canine with the pliers. He hoped he’d never have to feel pliers in his mouth after today, they were so hard and cold and-hurt hurt hurt they hurt so much pulling pulling the pressure’s building up again I want this over with but I’m scared to feel that pain again but you chose it and you deserve it because you failed so endure it even as the agony stabs you in the skull even as you can’t stop screaming even as the magic burns and forces another fang into your mouth you have to endure because it’s all you can do anymore endure it endure it endure it
Thankfully, the second tooth didn’t need as much adjusting as the first, and soon enough Erebus found himself breathing a sigh of relief that at least the pain was over, even if the effects of what had just happened would be with him forever. Neteri patted him and praised him before calling in the guards, saying she’d come by his cell to check on him once she got everything cleaned up.
Back in the cell, Erebus stood in front of the mirror, as had become his weird sort of ritual after a procedure. The blood around his mouth was something he’d seen before, but as for what was inside...he knew they were there, he could feel them in there. A part of him knew, though, that once he saw them, there was no going back. He took a deep breath and opened his mouth.
The fangs were so, so apparent. They were noticeably longer than the teeth that had been there before had been, even if they weren’t as long as he had originally feared, but they looked as sharp as they felt. Once again, he couldn’t help but feel like he was some sort of monster, since he was certainly starting to look the part. He closed his jaw, hesitantly pulling his lips back into a smile-and oh, oh, that was horrific, no, no, absolutely no one would ever see that without wanting to run for their life. Maybe it was for the best that he never felt like smiling much these days.
When Neteri came in a few minutes later, Erebus was laying on his bed, curled around his pillow as he stared blankly ahead. She crouched in front of him, head cocked to the side. “Your mouth doesn’t hurt, does it?”
“No, it’s fi-ow.” In trying to say that he felt physically alright, he’d accidentally nicked his lower lip.
“Aw, poor thing,” Neteri chuckled sympathetically, reaching up and healing the little puncture with a tap of her finger and a spark of magic. “You’ll get used to them eventually.” Erebus elected not to respond, simply looking away. Why did she think she was in any position to feel sorry for him when she was the one causing him all this pain in the first place? And for what? He didn’t move as she stood up, but he was startled when she gently scooped up his head, sitting down in the spot where it had been before letting it drop back down. Onto her lap.
He panicked slightly, trying to sit up, but she held him down. “It’s alright, Erebus. Just lie still.” He opened his mouth to protest, but how was he supposed to explain that he didn’t want to be comforted this way, that he didn’t want to associate this feeling with her, that this was something only his mother (and Lythia, on a couple wonderful occasions) had done with him? Thoughts of both of them, of his life before all this, of his home, started to overwhelm him, and before he knew it he was crying. Again.
Neteri didn’t say a word, simply stroking his hair and rubbing his back as he clutched the pillow and sobbed about anything and everything. He missed his father and his home and his bed and his friends and the palace gardens and his freedom and having control over his own body and not being chained up all the time and how, how could Neteri act like she cared about him while she was cutting him into pieces he wished she would just stop because part of him was starting to like her and want her to do things like stroke his hair and that was wrong he shouldn’t like the person who-who owned him because he was owned he was he knew it deep down and he’d never admit it but it was true and he hated it and he wished he could hate her and he didn’t see how things would ever, ever be okay again and he was powerless to do anything but cry as the woman who was keeping him captive imitated the love of people he’d never see again.
At some point after he started to calm down, he felt one of Neteri’s hands leave him and opened his eyes to see that she was holding something in front of his face. “Here, I found this when I was going through my bag the other day. Did you want to keep it?” she said as she held out a light blue ribbon, the one she’d pulled out of his hair before cutting it off. The ribbon that had belonged to his mother. He quickly snatched it up and held it close to his chest, afraid of losing it again.
“Thanks,” Erebus said quietly, rubbing the familiar silk between his fingers. It really did mean a lot to him to have this little piece of his old life, even if his hair was nowhere near long enough to tie it in.
“Of course.” She stroked his hair a few more times before giving him a final pat and sliding out from underneath his head. He sat up and wiped the last few tears out of his eyes, not even flinching when her hand slid under his chin and tilted it up slightly. “Erebus, I just want you to know that if you ever want to talk about anything, you can just let me know, alright? I understand if you don’t want to, given, uh,” her other hand poked at the tag attached to his collar, “but if you do...I’m here, okay?” He just nodded, despite the fact that he sincerely doubted he’d ever take her up on that offer. Accepting comfort like he’d just done was bad enough.
After Neteri left, Erebus looked down at the ribbon, wondering what he should do with it. The thought of tying it to his collar crossed his mind, but he decided against it. He didn’t want something his mother had touched anywhere near that awful thing. His wrist, then? Not his right one, not on that foreign arm that he still hadn’t had any luck in transforming. He settled on his left wrist, tying it rather sloppily since he could only use one hand to make the knot.
Looking at it, thinking of everything he’d lost, Erebus realized that despite everything, despite how miserable he was, despite how much he wanted to escape this place, he still didn’t want to die. He didn’t know if it was hope that things would get better, fear of death, or something else entirely, but he realized that he wanted to live. He wanted to survive.
And if he needed to accept Neteri’s comfort every so often in order to keep himself sane, then so be it.

if you thought your hangover was gonna be the worst part of your saturday, you were sadly mistaken. because you hadn’t accounted for the emotional turmoil you’d be in over seonghwa, remembering how you could barely rip yourself away from him when you saw san run outside looking for you.
the blonde had all but snatched you away from the boy and gave him a nasty look, his ex friend looking at him with a defeated look in his eye before leaving you two alone.
“what happened?” he asked quietly, his small hands on your face wiping at your tears. you shake your head as the salty wetness leaks from your eyes, shaking your head before collapsing against him.
“can we please just leave? i can’t be here anymore.”
san takes your hands in his, looking over at the squeak of the door and stiffening when he sees wooyoung; their eyes meet and san can’t help but think back to the conversation he ran from, the black haired boy pulling him into a spare room so he could talk to him in private.
but it was always in private and san was getting sick of it. he knew he didn’t want his friends knowing about how...in depth their relationship was and he was okay with that; if he wasn’t ready for them to know, that was fine, he understood. but to hide their friendship? something completely pure that everyone knew was a thing since they were kids?
he listened to the excuse that they would know, that they would see their lingering gazes or subtle touches and find out what changed in both of them that summer. but san pushed the boy away and cursed at him, being grabbed back roughly which led to a screaming match that ended very similarly to yours.
“me either,” he says to you, pressing a kiss to your head before walking you guys down the block to wait for your uber.
you slept at san’s house and you both now attempted to get down a stack of pancakes as you regretfully filled each other in on what the hell happened last night.
“well, so much for not taking their shit,” san whined, a tiny snort leaving your mouth before your eyes widen in realization.
“oh, my god, hyunjin! i feel so bad, i didn’t say goodbye to him.”
“he asked me for your number but i...didn’t know if you’d want that so i told him i’d talk to you first.”
you let out a sigh, feeling a tugging at your heart because you liked him. he was sweet and funny and it was just a bonus that he was so fucking handsome. but you weren’t good for him right now and he definitely deserved better. someone more attentive and not so hung up their stupid summer love.
“thank you,” you tell san softly, smiling as you lean against him on the couch. “but i don’t think that’d be a good idea right now.” the blonde nods his head knowingly, stretching out on the couch before patting his lap.
“let’s spend your first day hungover right,” he said, making you giggle as you settled your head on him. he laid the blanket out over you and played with your hair as you watched a movie marathon, his gentle touches lulling you to sleep before you woke a few hours later.
you felt a bit better but still had a lingering headache, the walk home from san’s house making the pounding in your temples resurface.
and then, as if today couldn’t make you feel any worse, your parents car in the driveway made your heart sink and stomach twist anxiously; what were they doing home? they weren’t supposed to be back until tomorrow afternoon.
and the second they see you stumble in with your clothes from last night in hand and san’s sweatpants and sweatshirt, it begins. their questioning and shaming and harsh words, asking you where the fuck you were last night and if you were whoring around while living under their roof.
“i was with san, my coworker.”
you mentioned him once or twice at dinner but are sure they don’t remember; your mom had been in unusually good spirits that night, talking your ear off and smiling at you.
but today’s reaction is very different, a snide laugh as she asks if he’s your new boyfriend now; “moved on from your beach boy it seems,” she says snidely.
your eyebrows pull together, swallowing the need to defend yourself because it won’t even matter and you’re tired. you’re just so tired of everyone and everything today, wanting nothing more than to lay in your bed and fall asleep again.
you shrug your shoulders and bow your head, attempting to walk past them. but your dad has other ideas, grabbing your arm roughly and pushing you against the wall. your head bounces off the white paint and you wince at the pain, a quiet “ow,” causing him to scoff.
“your mother was talking to you, don’t be disrespectful.” don’t be disrespectful, he says, after bashing your head into the wall.
“i don’t know what she wants me to say.”
“how ‘bout telling us about what you did last night,” she hums lowly, standing next to your dad in a way that makes you feel completely ganged up on.
because even though you always are, it’s really bad right now. the obvious irritation between them about to be taken out on you, something about the look in their eyes making you very unsettled.
“i told you i was with my friend,” you say quietly, completely submissive and exhausted at the idea of conflict.
but her eyebrow raises at the same time your dad rolls his eyes, watching you carefully as he looks down at your clothes in your hand. “why are you in his clothes? did you sleep there?”
you bite the inside of your cheek, looking down at the floor and hearing your mom throw her head back in laughter. “oh, y/n...” she says mockingly, your body flinching away when she reaches out to stroke your hair. “what has happened to you? sneaking out with boys when your parents are out.”
and then suddenly, you fall to your knees as she tugs the strand harshly. you let out a cry and wonder why the fuck they’re doing this to you. why they always feel the need to hurt you and make you feel horrible.
why did they have a child? did they just wanna feel powerful, see how much they could disrespect and neglect another human being?
“i- i didn’t do anything bad.”
and even though you were just yanked down to the floor, you dad grabs your arm roughly and pulls you up. your wrist nearly snaps as he yells in your face, asking if that’s the case, why do you seem hungover right now?
your skin turns even more pale and he shakes his head, his hold on your wrist tightening to the point where tears prick your eyes.
“you’re hurting me,” you whimper out.
you feel like you say that a lot these days but no one ever seems to care. they just keep hurting you, his hand yanking you away from your mom before a prompt slap across your face.
“we didn’t think you’d do this if we went away but here you go, proving us wrong and betraying our trust.”
a tear rolls down your cheek and it only appears to infuriate him more. he goes to slap you again but you quickly move away, cracking your head into the corner of the wall and letting out a loud yelp.
your hand flies to your head where you know is gonna bruise, but your dad rips it away again. his hand gets tighter and tighter around your wrist to the point where you think he’s about to fracture it, whimpering out for him to please please stop.
“we won’t warn you again, y/n,” he growls lowly, something painfully shifting in your wrist and making you cry out again. “don’t give us fucking trouble and we won’t have to do this.”
you meet his gaze and see nothing but anger and rage and disgust looking back at you, getting shoved away from him and falling onto your butt in the dark hallway. your parents loom over you in a way that makes you think they’re gonna continue their assault on you, kick or slap you some more and really make you regret doing this.
but they only look at you before walking into the kitchen unbothered, panic stirring in your chest before you scurry backward into your room. you close and lock your door before resting your head against it, silencing your cries into your knees.
you drown out the sound of your parents screaming and yelling at each other, jumping when harsh banging and insults are shouted through your door. calling you all sorts of names and cursing at you like you can even hear them through your pounding ears.
you feel a bump forming on your head, making the throbbing ache in your temples ten times worse. you try to move your wrist but wince at the sharp pain that rushes through it, trying to breathe through your ragged cries and sobs.
you can’t do this anymore.
you can’t keep walking on eggshells and dealing with these outbursts that leave you battered and bruised and hurting. can’t keep making excuses for them that you were in the wrong and deserved some sort of punishment. that because this happened, they might not hit or yell at you for the next few days.
your phone buzzing in your pocket causes you to jump, your heart soaring at the idea of seonghwa’s name popping up right now; he saved you last time from them so maybe he’ll do it again.
but it’s san asking if you got home okay attached with a selfie of him on his couch with a pout. you can only send him a heart back before moving to seonghwa’s name, your shaky fingers typing out a message to him.
but then as you stare at the three pathetic words, you can’t find it in yourself to send it. instead, you throw your phone across the room and bury your face in your arms. because if you told him clear as day in words that you needed him and he ignored it, you don’t think you’d ever recover.
it’d make your desperate attempts to calm your breathing even more difficult.
but it feels as if you can’t breathe even into the next day, not once leaving your room to eat or get a drink of water; you only pee once and that’s when you take a drink from the faucet, splashing cold water on your face and wincing at the bruise on your head and deep, red markings on your swollen wrist.
and even though you spend most of that sunday sleeping, you can’t find it in yourself to go to school on monday.
you woke up and couldn’t imagine dealing with anything, schoolwork or teachers or avoiding seonghwa. you text san that you won’t be in school but will be there for your shift at 3:30, knowing you’ll have to be out of the house to not tip off your parents.
because you think if they catch you in another lie, they’ll make your throbbing head and wrist feels ten times worse.
“jesus christ, y/n, were you running like 20 miles an hour when you hit into the cabinet?”
you knew it was cliche but you had to think of something.
because the egg on your head looked as bad as it felt and you knew san was gonna question it. so a breathy little laugh left your mouth as you shrugged, redness creeping on your face as you easily lie to san about being clumsy.
“there’s clumsy and then there’s reckless, y/n, let me get you a-”
“san,” you hear a familiar voice growl. and it’s at that moment your head snaps up and you see seonghwa’s face fall, looking over you before his eyes widen when he sees your head.
“where were you?” he demands as he walks toward you, not even noticing san’s hands on you as panic sets in on his body. what happened to your head? that bump hadn’t been there when he saw you two days ago.
he knew something was wrong when he didn’t see you in homeroom. he felt it in the pit of his stomach and his mind hadn’t stopped racing since then, becoming even more frantic when he saw san sitting alone at lunch.
he couldn’t explain why but the memory of seeing you with your parents swarmed his mind, the look of fear in your eyes and the way your dad was so quick to jump up and tower over you in your aunt’s backyard.
"i know she's your sister so i'm not implying anything," he said bluntly over the table, the cup of chamomile tea she always offers him but he rarely drinks next to him. "but she's so scared to go back to them and i...do they hit her?"
"they're assholes, seonghwa, i'll be the first to tell you...but i don't think they would physically harm her."
he held on to your aunt’s words all day but right now, they’re no longer comforting him. not with that way you’re practically shaking under his gaze and how that bump appears to just grow bigger and bigger.
“i...i wasn’t feeling good this morning.”
his eyebrows pull together and he moves closer, reaching out to take your face in his hand. you hold your breath as he turns your head to the side, assesing your face carefully as tears prick your eyes because this is too much. he can’t find out, he can’t see you break down and finally admit what’s been haunting you since the day you were born.
“does this have something to do with it?”
your eyes apprehensively meet his and you swallow nervously at the look in them, blazing with hot determination and it’s then you realize there’s no getting out of this. that he feels something is wrong, the same way he was always so in tune with how you felt and read you so well.
you’re saved by the ding of an oven in the back room, the cookies san put in twenty minutes ago needing to be taken out to cool. it’s the perfect excuse to rip your face away from seonghwa and shake your head, mumbling to san that you’ll get them before leaving the boys.
seonghwa waits until the door closes to look at his old friend, the blonde looking at him with an unreadable expression.
“what did she say happened?”
san purses his lips to the side, biting the inside of his cheek before reluctantly speaking; he can tell the boy is frantic and plagued with worry. he’d been like that at lunch too, he noticed, bouncing his leg or rocking anxiously in a way he knows he does when he’s unsettled.
“she walked into a cabinet.”
seonghwa rolls his eyes as he lets out a groan, his hand falling into a fist so he doesn’t punch the counter and make san angry; but holy fuck, is he serious? is he really buying that?
“do you actually fucking believe that?” he snaps, san’s face immediately pulling into confusion; why wouldn’t he?
“why the hell wouldn’t i?” he questions, looking at seonghwa who’s gotten considerably more anger and agitated.
but it’s then the boy realizes you probably didn’t tell him about your parents.
about how they treat you and how many problems you have with them. he hasn’t seen the way they look at you or act around you, doesn’t have this overwhelming inclination that they did that to you, something that’s about to make him lose his shit if it’s true.
“seonghwa? why wouldn’t i? why would she...why would she lie?”
seonghwa bites the inside of his cheek before the door swings open, your eyes meeting his before you place the plate of cookies down. you can feel the tension in the air, san’s eyes on seonghwa while his are on you.
“can i talk to you outside for a second?” seonghwa asks you quietly, your eyes widening as a lump forms in your throat. you get unnerved when instead of butting in, san only looks between you and him with curious eyes.
you look at seonghwa and shake your head, feeling tears burn the back of your eyes. “i don’t think that’s a good idea, i have to do this-”
“i’ll do it,” san says, something about seonghwa’s words and intensity making him, surprisingly, side with the boy who’s hurt you so much. because he can see clear as day the concern and desperation in his gaze. you snap your head to look at the blonde and his gaze softens, attempting to give you courage through his eyes.
you let out a sigh of defeat before walking out from behind the counter, you and seonghwa’s arms bumping as he opens the door for you. you lean your shoulder against the glass window with your head casted down, your eyes focusing on the scuffs in seonghwa’s shoes.
he allows the silence for a few seconds before softly calling your name, a shaky exhale leaving your mouth before you look at him.
“what happened?”
you press your lips together so you don’t cry out, begging the tears not to fall as you shake your head. “nothing, i walked into a cabinet.”
seonghwa’s jaw tightens as he looks away from you, air blowing from his nose as he lets out a scoff.
“what did i say about lying to me?”
you can’t even find it in you to say something snarky or roll your eyes, looking up at him with glossy eyes. “i’m not lying,” you say quietly, your lower lip wobbling and eyes becoming wet.
his eyes soften as his eyes roam your face, taking a step closer as he takes your face in his hands. “then why are you about to cry?”
“i’m not,” you snap, moving your face out of his hold before you step back. “always seems to happen when you’re around though.” his eyes narrow at the way you turn defensive, knowing while there’s truth to your words, that’s not what this is about.
there’s something more tugging behind your eyes, backing away from him and dropping your gaze because he knows the power you both hold over each other is too much.
“i won’t deny that, baby, and i’m sorry but that’s not it,” he says, reaching out to tug you closer to him. a breathy sigh leaves your mouth as you feel your resolve breaking, his eyes on you too much because you just want to melt into his soft touch.
but if you do that, you’ll break completely today. and it’s already all too much for you.
“please tell me what happened,” he says quietly against your head. “remember what i said? whenever you needed me, i’d be there?”
you can’t help but laugh as you pull yourself away from him because that’s not fucking fair in the slightest.
“did you just remember that? where was that memory months ago, seonghwa?”
he licks at his lips anxiously, knowing that you have a point. but this is completely different. this is a matter of you being harmed and that’s something he cannot stand.
“this is different and we both know that, y/n,” he says quietly, his hand raising to touch the bump on your head again; but you move away before he can make contact with you.
“can you only be the one that hurts me?” you suddenly snap, not even realizing the words as his hypocrisy irks your broken spirit. but that sounds like an admission of some kind to him, his dark eyes flaring as he walks closer to you.
“so someone did hurt you,” his deep voice, your teary eyes rolling as you move away from him.
“of course that’s what you got out of that,” you laugh out humorlessly, shaking your head before your eyebrows pull together. “yes, seonghwa. someone did hurt me. a cabinet.”
he lets out a huff as he tries to reign in his anger, his jaw clenching at the way you snap at him.
“baby, i know you’re mad and i get that. but you need to fucking stop-”
“you need to fucking stop,” you yelp, your voice breaking as the tears behind your eyes surface and voice wobbles. “you...can’t keep doing this. why can’t you just leave me alone? i...we said we were done and it was going well so why all the sudden are you-”
“who. hurt you,” he asks, stepping forward and taking your face in his hands. his thumbs rub over your wet skin before he reaches up to the bump on your head, wincing as a quiet whimper leaves your mouth.
“tell me. talk to me, baby.”
your lower lip wobbles at the softly spoken tone of his voice, setting off every memory in your brain from when he’d sound like that in your bed. with the sun streaming through your open balcony doors as his breath tickled your neck. or quietly spoken into your salty skin on the moonlit beach.
when it seemed as if you two would never have to face anything that bad and could just kiss and laugh in the sun or behind closed doors.
“please stop,” you whisper quietly, shaking your head as you’re smacked back and forth with anger and sadness and defeat. “it doesn’t matter.”
“how can you say that?” he growls lowly in your ear, anger ripping through him.
how could you really think it doesn’t matter when he’s here ready to kill the person who did that (even though he already has a good idea of who it was). he holds your wavering gaze before letting out a sigh, his thumb caressing your face softly in a way that makes your chest feel heavier.
“tell me, y/n. don’t lie to me. you know it never fucking worked.”
except it did, you think. it did work and you need it to keep working. but you feel yourself breaking down because of him too and you’re not sure how much longer you can put it off.
your tongue peeks out to lick over your lips anxiously, shaking your head at him.
“i can’t,” you say quietly, voice barely above a whisper.
he tightens his hold on your face, desperate and pleading as he breaths out your name. you can’t tear your gaze away from him no matter how much you want too, feeling your eyes grow more and more wet.
“seonghwa, it’s not-”
“hey, you creep! why do you keep following her?”
both your heads snap back, your eyebrows pulling together when you see two girls standing outside the cafe. and it’s not until she stalks forward and her friend grabs her hand that you recognize the both of them from the party.
“jojo, you can’t just-”
“she was cornered by him and crying last time,” the girl says, looking over you with concern in her eyes. “we just wanted croissants and now we have to-”
“i’m not cornering her, i’m trying to talk to her,” seonghwa snaps, this abrasive girl’s timing absolutely fucking terrible. “so why don’t you mind your business?”
“why don’t i mind my business when i see an asshole like you constantly in this girl’s face?” she snaps back, her friend’s desperate pleas telling her to stop. you even try to tell her it’s okay before seonghwa growls again, his hands dropping from your face as he asks who she is to say that shit.
“seonghwa, it’s fine, she’s just trying to-”
“what’s going on?”
the four of you look at san whose blonde head is poking outside the door, the tension in the air thick. he’d been watching you both closely through the window before he noticed you two snap your heads away from one another, a dark and irritated look crossing seonghwa’s face he knew was not a good sign.
“this asshole is harassing her again!”
“this asshole knows her, unlike you,” seonghwa argues back, “so seems like you’re the fucking creep.”
your hand grabs his arm to pull him closer to you, his head snapping back and face immediately softening when he sees the tears in your eyes, knowing the last thing you want right now is more conflict .
“oh really? because it seems like-”
“it’s fine, she’s okay,” san softly assures the girl. “he was just leaving anyway. y/n has to get back to work.” seonghwa looks at the blonde who immediately shakes his head, a stern look in his eye that actually causes him to sigh.
seonghwa looks down at you again, frowning at the sad look on your face. he wipes at your face with his thumb before lifting your chin. “we’ll talk more tomorrow, okay?” and because you know you probably don’t have a choice, you let out a sigh and nod your head.
it takes him a few seconds to pull himself away from you, the bump on your head and sadness in your eyes making his stomach knot. he gives the mouthy girl a dirty look before thanking san quietly, the two girls not saying a word until seonghwa’s a few feet away.
“jojo! you have to stop doing this,” the smaller girl says, smacking her friend in the arm before turning her gaze to you. “i am so so sorry. she knows no boundaries and she’s only trying to help but-”
“it’s okay,” you laugh out humorlessly, shaking your head as you wipe at your face in embarrassment. “he really was just talking to me. but i...i do tend to cry in his presence.”
“well thats sucky of him,” jojo says. a small smile coveing your face as you nod, moving your gaze to the san. “i’m sorry,” you say softly. but the blonde only shakes his head and opens the door wider, ushering you three in with dimply smile on display.
“did you guys say you wanted croissants?” you ask the girls, both of them nodding guiltily. you smile softly as you prepare them and san rings them up, the three of them talking quietly.
“so they just told me they saw you and seonghwa at the party too?”
“yeah,” you say, plopping down the two plates with a sigh. “when he had me pinned against the wall insisting he loves me.”
“now that,” jojo says, croissant raised to her mouth with her eyebrows raised, “sounds interesting.”
“oh jesus christ, jo, please learn to respect boundaries,” the other girl says, smiling dismissively as she’s about pull them away. but then something in you causes you to speak again, maybe because you’ve never had girls to ask their opinions on and they seem like the best option you could get.
“i know you barely know me and this might be weird,” you find yourself saying, “but it’d be nice to get another perspective from someone who isn’t....him,” you say, turning around to see san stealing his 4th cookie from the jar.
“please!” jojo squeals, pulling up two chairs to the counter as her friend politely nods; she’s more shy and reserved but open nonetheless, introducing herself as bo-ra and insisting you don’t have to delve into your personal information despite the way her friend has inserted herself into it twice now.
you giggle softly, your sad spirit oddly lifting in the presence of these two strangers. but there’s something comforting about them, interested in the perspective of two girls who you also know will have two very different thoughts.
“so let’s hear it!” jojo says excitedly, plopping down in her seat not at all prepared for the story she was about to get.
a story of summer love and a budding relationship, where you two truly opened up and let each other in. where it seemed as if maybe two months was enough time to fall in love, if the look in your eye or smile on your face as you retold it wasn’t a good enough indication.
san watched with a frown as you recounted the memories, your voice twinged with amusement as you told them about surfing before your eyes turned teary, explaining how the days counting down till the time you had to leave were miserable. how sad and heartbroken and upset you were that you’d no longer be together.
“so you could only imagine my surprise when i saw him in my homeroom,” you tell them, jojo and bo-ra clutching onto one another, two more croissants gone.
“shut up!” jojo squeals, “that’s crazy!”
“there are so many other places you could’ve moved!”
“i know,” you say with a small smile before it quickly falls off your face. “but you would’ve thought he never saw me in his life. he just...completely avoided me.” and getting through the past few months with him was a whole lot harder and sadder to hear, hurt laced in your tone that makes san rub your back gently.
“and i get it, i do, i came out of nowhere and probably shocked him. but...for him to act like that? why...it makes me feel like he lied the whole summer.”
“exactly!” jojo says. “and like what’s the big deal? he has to keep up some stupid fake image? that’s literally sick of him. what the fuck?”
“there could be more to it, jo, only they really-”
“SICK!”
you smile sadly as you shrug your shoulders, looking at bo-ra who’s biting down on her lip. “be honest,” you tell her quietly, seeing the hesitation on her face. “i blurted all of this out after knowing you for five minutes because i wanted girl’s opinions.”
“well we’re friends now, that’s for sure,” she giggles. “but i don’t know. it’s definitely not right what’s he’s doing obviously and he doesn’t deserve for you to forgive him so easily. but i will say that he probably prepared himself for leaving you more than you know. he probably came home and had already checked out of his emotions and seeing you again caught you him off guard.”
you bite the inside of your cheek as you nod your head.
“even so, though, he shouldn’t treat her like this. he knows she’s upset and he’s so easily avoiding her,” jojo says. but san only lets out a snort and shakes his head.
“definitely not easily. if he’s not watching her, he’s begging her to talk and listen to him. it’s obvious to everyone he likes her but when it comes time to admit it, he’s a-”
“stupid teenage boy. and admitting it is what matters so he’s really dropping the ball,” jojo says. and all three of you can agree with that, nodding your head with a sigh.
“yeah. i don’t know,” you sigh out. “because i really do...care about him. and i know he cares about me too. he was just so... good, you know, and i miss him even though i see him everyday.”
it’s a sentiment that you’ve thought about all too much these past few weeks, how you see the same face and hear the same voice and have your body react to him the same way but still miss him. miss his smile and soft touch and sweet words that without fail made you feel better.
“maybe tomorrow, without interruption, you can get it all out in the open. for good,” bo-ra suggests. “no more back and forth. really get everything out and tell him you guys have to come to a decision. either forget about everything for good, for real this time, or be with each other again.”

Sleep over?
Akira x you
Summary: You get into a fight with your parents and you headed to Akira's house, who is your crush, who you are sure he hates you.
ENjoy
Y/n-Your name
-1558 words-
--
You paced back and forth as the rain fell around you. Sighing while rubbing your face, letting your fist hover over the door. Before you could blink you felt your body betray you and knocked. After a few seconds, you began to panic and pace back and forth again. Hugging your arms closer to you. "Uh, Y/n?" You looked at him as he opened the door.
"I... I'm sorry, it's late, I know. But... I... I don't even know what I'm doing here." You went to turn around but his mom came over.
"Who's this? Come in dear, it's freezing outside." She didn't really give you a choice as she wrapped your arms rubbing them. "You're freezing." She closed the door behind her, Akira followed you. "Hunny, can you make some hot chocolate."
"Or no, it's fine. I don't want to intrude." His mother rolled her eyes rubbing your arms.
"Right, you came for Akira, right? Love, take her to your room give her a shirt or something, Honey, make the hot chocolate, we'll bring it up, or Akira can bring it to you."
"Thank you, Mrs. Kunimi." The woman smiled at you before you followed the boy upstairs, they didn’t even allow you to take your shoes off.
"Take what you want, I'll go get the hot chocolate." You sighed before turning to his closet, seeing a long sleeve shirt. Slipping off yours, you immediately put on the long sleeve shirt. You looked in the mirror sighing. What are you doing here? At your crush's house, in his clothes, when you know he hates you. You sighed again remember the first day y'all met.
--
You stretched and looked around the class. Your eyes landing on a boy who looked incredibly bored. You threw a piece of paper at him making him look at you. You stuck out your tongue and he gave you a blank look. Hmp, rude. You threw another piece of paper making him sigh and look at you again. You smiled widely at him catching him off guard a little before it turned back to a blank look. Hmp. 'I'm (Y/n).' You mouthed making him give you a look. 'I don't care.' You rolled your eyes as he turned around, you threw another piece of paper at him. You saw him sigh loudly and look at you. You gave a small smile, he mouthed, 'It's Akira.' You smiled in success. But he just turned around making you pout.
--
Since then, you tried talking to him, but you'd notice he'd immediately stop taking and ignores you. At first, you thought it was because he was shy, but then you'd notice him talking to other players, just not you. To say it hurt was an understatement. "Looks good on you." You jumped turning around seeing Akira with a cup in his hand.
"Thanks... for the hot chocolate." You took and sipped it, exhaling at the hotness.
"If you don't mind me asking, why are you here?" You sighed placing it on his nightstand before sitting on his bed.
"I guess I owe you an explanation." You sighed rubbing your legs.
"Yeah. Kind of."
"I... I got into it again with my parents. They want me to be like my sister."
"Isn't she the school slut?"
"Yeah, she is. Which is what I asked my parents. And they yelled at me, saying not to say rude things about her." You bit your lip looking down. "Doesn't matter that I'm... the smartest kid at the school, or that I'm doing great things. TO them, it's... pointless. To me, it's not. I rather open a book than open my legs. But to them, they wish I was... different..."
"And it doesn't help that the guy you like... hate you, right?" You looked up at him, confused. "I heard Atsumu and Osamu mention it. Once or twice."
"Yeah... that fact doesn't help." You sighed and let out a shaky breath. "I'm sorry for being here, I don't want to intrude, it's just. I heard the twins mention you lived nearby, and my dad... he... he found out I was texting Atusma and..." You froze looking down at your legs. "And... uh, he..." You felt tears fall at the memory.
--
“You want me to be like your daughter? She’s the biggest slut in the school.”
“Excuse me, you will not talk about your sister, like that.”
“Why?”
“If she’s the slut, then who’s Atsuma and Osuma.” You looked at your mom and scoffed.
“You go through my phone?”
“Well, duh.”
“Why?”
“Because we can. Are you sleeping with them?”
"I’m not having sex or seeing either of them." You yelled quietly.
"Quit lying!" He marched over to your phone, throwing it at the wall, but that was just the beginning. He began knocking anything in his path to the floor including our family photos. You have no clue what to do when he picked up an expensive glass vase.
"D-Dad, please stop!" You pleaded as you watched him throw it to the floor, glass shards flying everywhere. "I said stop." You snapped pulling him away from picking up a picture frame. His eyes met yours and softened a little. "Please." He turned his head away from you. "I swear I'm not sleeping with them." You cried you looked to where he was looking, seeing an old photo of you and the volleyball players at the beginning of school. He shoved you forcefully causing you to hit your head on the ground, missing glass that littered the floor in inches.
"You deserve to rot in hell. Get the hell out of my house!”
You stammered to your feet away glass cutting all different places of your almost bare feet. You opened the front door leave at 10 pm, only knowing one house nearby. You sobbed, slipping on your shoes, and left the house.
--
And now here you are, in Akira’s home. He listened closely as you told him the story. He looked down at your shoes and slipped them off, you hissed as your fresh cuts hit the cold air. “Shit, Y/n.” He ran to his bathroom and wetted a rag. He worked in silence, you let out a hiss every now and then, other than that, it was extremely quiet. He hates you... you hate you. You hate that part of you was scared... how he'd react. When he was done, he didn't bother to look up at you “How long…?” You barely heard him.
“Uh, a couple of months, now…” Since your sister became a senior she’s never been home. She doesn’t know what they do when you don’t meet their goals.
“Why didn’t you tell someone?” He looked up at you finally, you wiped the tears and laughed.
“I did… my dad paid them off. I-I’m sorry I came here… I just… had nowhere else to go, and… god, I hate people seeing me cry…” He watched as you wiped your tears, laughing slightly.
“You still look beautiful, even when you cry.” You stopped moving, looking down at him confused.
“I… Sorry, what?” He placed his hands on your hips, looking you in the eye, but before he could speak, you let out a giggle.
“Are you ticklish?”
“No.” You tried to sound strong but you ended up in a fit of giggles. He smirked to himself before tickling you again. “Aki-ah-ra. St-ah-op.” He laughed along with you, you slid your hands up his shirt trying to push him off, but you both ended up stopping. You looked up at him as your hands rested on his toned abs. Shit. His hand was somewhat under your shirt, resting on your ribs. “Akira…” He looked down at your lips then at your eyes.
“Y/n…” You flicked between his eyes than his lips as he slowly leaned down. You met him halfway, kissing him softly. His hand squeezing your side before trialing down to your thigh, lifting it a little. You never thought you’d be in this position when you knocked on his door. You sighed into the kiss as he began to trail sloppy kisses down your neck.
“Fuck….” He smirked against your neck before sucking on it. “Ah, Akira…” You brought your legs around his hips forcing his hips to hit yours. He let out a low groan.
“Damn…” He brought his mouth to your ear nibbling on it. “Let me show you how a guy treats a girl they like.” You felt your cheeks heat up, he likes me? Before you could think, his lips met yours again.
“Love, oh.” He pulled away quickly sitting up, you turned your head in embarrassment. “I just brought you some snacks, I’m leaving.” She laughed and walked out the door.
“Sorry about her…” You didn’t meet his eyes. “Ah, look. The guy you like is an idiot.” Did he just call himself an idiot? You laughed lightly. “What, I'm being serious. He is an idiot. How can he not like you? You’re like the prettiest girl in our grade, not scratch that, in our school. And you’re like super smart, and kind. It’s hard being around you and… not being able to kiss you.” You looked at him slightly shocked, is that why he ignored you? “It’s kind of why I avoided you. It was hard being around you especially after you told the twins about your crush…” You leaned up, crashing your lips to his.
“You’re the guy I like, Akira, it was always you.” He looked down at you and smiled, he actually smiled.
“Well then, would you be mine?”
“I thought you’d never ask.”

wherever i’m going -- i’m taking you with me.
roman godfrey x reader
summary: you run through roman’s dreams nightly, but this time it’s different. this time it’s an omen where you dawn a white dress with blood pouring for your mouth, your body ripped to shred. and this time peter sees it too.
word count: 3.5k
a/n: kinda short for me, i hope that’s ok! got a couple of other stories in the works tho. but, i really hope you enjoy!
“I gotta run,” You said as you stood from the couch in the Godfrey’s sitting room.
Roman let out a childish groan as he deflated into the stiff cushions, lanky limbs melting across the furniture like a Dali clock.
“No, you don’t. At least stay for one more episode?”
“I promised I’d have dinner with my mom before she has to go in to work graveyard tonight.” You reply, gathering your discarded sweater and shoes and redressing in them.
“Come on,” Roman practically whines, reaching out with his foot to hook you around the back of your knee, “One more episode.”
You turn to give him a reprimanding look, a look that was utterly ineffective as a smile threatened to form on your lips.
“Shelley, can you please call him off?” You look over your shoulder toward the younger Godfrey, holed up in an armchair with a grin.
“He’s not used to hearing no.” She typed out and you snort.
“Some help you are!” Shelley just giggled.
“Yeah,” Roman pushed himself up with a grunt, quickly snaking his arms around your waist, “I’m not used to hearing no. Let’s not start today, yeah?”
You looked down at him, his chin resting against your abdomen while he gazed up at you with his most convincing puppy eyes.
You move your hands to hold his cheeks, squeezing them together causing his lips to pout, “Everyone’s right, you are a brat.”
You lean down and peck his pursed mouth, “Walk me to my car?”
Roman gives a heavy sigh in defeat, collapsing back into the couch for a moment before begrudgingly getting up, making the movement seem like a great effort.
“You owe me,” He responds in a grumble.
“Oh, of course,” You reply dramatically as you walk over and give Shelley a chaste kiss to the forehead in goodbye.
Roman waits for you by the door for you to finish your farewells with his sister, then leads you outside.
At your car, you toss your bag through the open window into the passenger seat, then lean against the door to look up at Roman.
“I think you should just move in here, you’re over enough.” He comments, placing his hands on your hips.
“I’m sure our mother’s would love that,” You counter swiftly.
“Fuck my mom,” Roman says, “And yours, well she could finally travel like she’s always wanted.”
“So what? I’m just the dead weight holding her back?”
“Oh c’mon, you know I didn’t mean it like that.” Roman sighs, moving closer to you.
You stay quiet, letting him squirm a bit. You knew he meant nothing by his comment, nothing more than a desperate search for you to agree to his offer.
“I would, but I’d only be giving into your spoiled-rich-boy complex. I can’t do that. I have to be the one to teach you hard work and perseverance. I want you to turn out to be a well rounded young man.”
The scowl that overtook Roman’s face made you burst into giggles.
“Fuck that, and you for saying it.”
“Yeah, yeah, yeah,” You say, giggles dying down as you lean up to give him a kiss. A longer one to appease him, “I’ll call you later, OK?”
“OK,” Roman says breathlessly to your lips, “Love you.”
“Love you, too.” And you pulled away from him.
Parting from Roman was always a five minute process, or longer. Because he would kiss you deeper, and beg for one more, and whisper sweet words and begs for you to stay, trying your resolve each and every time. Tonight was no different. You finally left the Godfrey grounds seven minutes later with swollen lips and the beginning of a love bite on your neck.
You ran through a field of grass and wildflowers. Looking over your shoulder with a wide smile and echoing giggles.
“Catch me! Faster! Before I fall! Catch me, Roman!” Your voice carried far and wide.
The dress you adorned was white, gauzy, and thin. Roman could see the hazy outline of your body beneath the fabric, your soft curves shining through as the sun basked you in it’s buttery glow. The world was saturated in warm tones and smelled like fresh laundry on his skin.
“Please, Ro! Catch me! I’m going to trip!” Your melodic voice begged, as you remained just out of arm's length.
Roman ran as fast as he could, panting and heaving as he tried to keep up with your light feet. His fingers would dust the fabric of your dress, feel the fibers and loose threads on his nails, but he could never get close enough to wrap you his grasp and capture you. He tumbled through the tall grass and felt a distinct tightness in his chest of yearning and fear. He just wanted to reach you.
As he continued the chase, Roman’s legs began to feel utterly heavy and stiff. A smattering of pins and needles danced under his skin and began to numb his extremities. It felt like he was pushing through water and running through sand. When he looked down to his feet, suddenly he was. He was encased in thick slimy sand and he could barely move.
“Roman?” Your voice was far away and trembling.
Roman snapped his head back up to look at you, still in your field of wildflowers and fragile gown.
“Roman, please, it’s going to happen…” You were suddenly crying, your face streaked with tears that left unforgiving wet trails over your delicate skin.
“I won’t! I won’t!” Roman calls, trying to dig himself from the swallowing sand.
“Baby… it hurts,” You whimper and groan and Roman watches as you reach down to clutch your stomach. Your crisp white dress now swathed with red.
A long, jagged cut marred your abdomen, blood pouring out of you like rushing water.
“No!” Roman screams, chanting the word until his throat was thick and hoarse.
You hiccup, and heavy currents of dark crimson drip past your lips. Your sputtering as the blood splatters your once spotless face, freckling your draining cheeks as a new outpour of blood furthers to ruin your dress.
Roman claws at the sand sucking him under, the little particles cutting into his fingers like shards of glass as he continues his tireless efforts to escape.
He watches as you stare at the blood in question, trying to push it back into your jutting abdomen wound fruitlessly, only managing to push more out.
“Stay right there, I’m coming! I’m coming!” Roman shouts, but the sand has sucked him down despite his best efforts and is up to his chin. The sun was so bright now, it was beginning to blinding him.
“No, you’re not.” You say with blood painted lips, teeth slimy with cardinal colors and sickly browns.
Roman tries to shout again, only for the sand to begin to enter his mouth and fill his lungs, before it engulfs him completely.
Roman shot awake, slick with sweat and an intense weighing heat covering every inch of his body.
His eyes stung with unshed tears as he scrambled to reach his phone on his nightstand. It told him it was just after two in the morning before he dials your number.
With his trembling hand to his ear, he listens to the incessant ring and waits for you to answer.
But the phone just rings, and rings and rings. And Roman swallows down the bile that raises in his throat as he gets your voicemail.
He calls back immediately, listening to the endless tone with shallow breaths. Once more, he gets your voicemail.
“Fuck!” Roman shouts, his voice carrying in the silent bedroom.
He starts to kick away his blankets and press your contact once more, when his phone buzzes. He doesn’t hesitate to answer.
“Hello? Baby?” Roman gasps.
“No, it’s uh, it’s me.” The voice on the other end isn’t yours, but Peter’s.
“Peter, dear fucking -- did you have it? Did you see her?” Roman asks, his voice frenzied.
“Yeah, I… I needed to call and see if she was with you. But I guess not.”
And Roman starts to hyperventilate. He tries to gulp in as much air as he can, but his lungs are tight and constricted with tears and terror.
“Peter, she’s next. No, no, no, no, no! Fuck! This isn’t happening, this can’t be happening!” Sobs wracked his body as Peter did his best to calm him.
“Hey, hey! Calm down, alright? She’s probably just fine.”
Probably, probably, probably.
But not definitely.
Roman’s mind began to churn out pictures of your pretty little face on the news next to Brooke Bluebell and Lisa Willoughby. A newscaster reciting your name mournfully and telling the world that you were the latest victim of this horrific animal prowling after young girls in a sleepy Pennsylvania town.
“She’s not answering, Peter! She’s not fucking answering her phone. She’s not -- fuck!” Roman could barely get the words out.
Your face in print, the ink smudging and transferring to the pads of Roman’s fingers from the amount of times he strokes your still features. Perfect and frozen in time. The headline saying something about another teen dead. Another beautiful girl with so much potential… torn from the world and limb from limb.
“Calm down, Roman! We need to find her, OK? I’m sure she’s just asleep and didn’t hear her phone. Let’s find her before we have a fuckin’ melt down, yeah?”
“Yeah, yeah, Ok, yeah.” Roman nods, running a tense hand through his hair.
“So, why don’t you sit tight and I’ll go over to her house and bring her to you?”
“No!” Roman shouts, “No! I’m going, she needs me.”
Roman stands from his bed and rushes around his room to gather any discarded clothing he could find crumpled on the ground or splayed over the back of a chair.
“Roman, let’s just think about this for a minute. You’re worried, stressed out of your mind, you’re not thinking straight. You’re gonna fuckin’ crash your car if you drive like this.” Peter tries to reason.
Roman scoffs, “I’m fine.”
“No, you’re really not,” Peter lets out a humorless chuckle.
“Yeah, y’know what? You’re right, I’m fucking not,” Roman spits.
He’s running down the stairs in a mismatched outfit in a search for his car keys, “I’ll be fine when I see she’s OK.”
Roman hangs up his phone before Peter can argue anymore.
When Roman gets to your house, he doesn't waste time knocking. He just picks up the trick rock in the front flowerpot to retrieve the spar key from inside it, and storms into your house. He barely remembers to shut the door behind him.
“(Y/N)! Baby!” Roman calls, searching around for any signs of disturbance or foul play.
He bounds up your staircase, frantically calling for you all the while. When he reaches your bedroom, he plows his way through the door without ceremony. His grip warping the thin gold plated knob, fingers molding into the cheap tin with worried fury.
You shot up from your mattress when Roman burst in with a shriek, clutching your chest as Roman stood dumbfounded in your doorway.
“Jesus Christ, Roman! What the hell? You just about gave me a heart attack! Fuck,” You let out a loud breath and fell against your pillows, sucking in calming breaths, “What is wrong with you?”
Overwhelming relief rushed through Roman’s viens as he watched you, annoyed and disgruntled in a sea of sheets and blankets from his entrance.
“Oh my God,” Tears sprang back to his eyes as Roman quickly closed the short distance between himself and your bed and vined his arms around you.
He blanketed you in his body, crushing you to the mattress as he sobbed into your neck.
“Whoa, hey, Ro? Baby? What happened? What’s going on?” You asked, anger turning quickly to worry as you moved to wrap your arms around his shaking shoulders.
His forearms press into the base of your neck and the hollow of your back uncomfortably, arching you into him in an awkward position. But the pain only served as a reminder to Roman that you were real. You’re here and you’re breathing and your bones clash with his and your breath fogs his brain. He couldn’t speak, all he could do was inhale your clean scent and the pattern of your heartbeat.
“Roman, you’re scaring me. What the hell is going on?” You tried again.
“Just stay right here. Be safe,” He hushed, nuzzling closer to you, pressing his cold nose to your clavicle.
A distinct prick of worry and fear made itself known in your gut, but you tried your best to subdue it.
For now.
“Alright, but please just tell me you’re OK?” You whisper, gripping the back of his shoulders tightly.
“Yeah. And so are you.”
You woke the next morning with a stabbing pain in your side and with stiff limbs. The sun had peeked over Roman’s head and cast onto your tired lids. Your hands were still tangled in his hair, resting loosely on the nape of his neck, having stopped combing through brunet strands sometime around dawn when sleep finally took you back under.
You tried to shift your weight around to alleviate the discomfort, but a small voice stopped you.
“Don’t get up,” Came Roman’s throaty plea.
“I wasn’t, just getting comfortable. M’back hurts.”
Roman doesn’t reply, just moves his arm from where it had been digging into your muscles and moves onto his side so you can too. His other arm stays firmly coiled around your shoulders.
You sigh in relaxed pleasure as you stretch out the kink in your back and are able to snuggle back into Roman with no pain.
“Thank you,” You mutter and kiss the hollow of his throat before you begin to drift off again.
His warmth, his soft pine cologne, the weight of his arms around you, the safety he offered, it was hard to stay awake all while under the thick cloud of blankets and early morning heat. Roman began to drag his fingers gently up and down your spine, helping to lull you back into sleep. That was until you remembered that Roman hadn’t just snuck in the night before to sleep next to you. You two hadn’t fucked and smoked and passed out in each other’s arms. He had come storming into your bedroom last night with crazed glazed eyes, looking like he’d seen a ghost, or something worse. So, you blink away any residual urge for slumber.
“What happened last night?” You asked, running your nose along his thrumming pulse.
“Don’t worry ‘bout it,” Roman moves his palm up to cup the back of your skull, “We’ll talk about it when you wake up.”
You wiggle away from his embrace far enough to see his face. He looked pensive and worried. His sweet lips chapped and gnawed raw.
“I don’t want to wait, Ro. You really freaked me out last night.” You lean further back, “Was it Olivia? Did she do something?”
“No, no,” Roman sighs, “Not this time. It wasn’t her.”
“Then what was it?”
Roman ran the tip of his tongue over his cracked lips and sniffs loudly. He makes a scene to look anywhere but your eyes. He looked scared, and Roman never looked scared. Angry? Interested? Annoyed? Curious? Yes, but never scared.
“Ro? What is it? You're freaking me.” You reach for his hand that is resting on your hip and wrap it in your own.
His jaw flexes and swivels, his bottom teeth jutting out before he finally sighs, “You were in my dream last night…”
“And?”
“Peter had the dream, too.”
It felt like the wind had been knocked from your lungs. You knew Roman could feel your hand tighten around his own, because he pushed your face back to press into his chest.
“But it’s OK. It’s going to be alright. I have you, I have you, I have you,” He chants, slipping his long calf around your legs to further his point.
“Peter saw me, too?” You asked, voice quivering with uncertainty.
“Yeah, baby. He did.”
“And it was the same dream?”
Roman took a long pause that told you more than his words ever could.
“Did you see it, too? Did it get me?”
You can feel Roman shutter against you. Like someone had poured ice water down his back.
“No, we didn’t. It wasn’t there. It was just… it wasn’t pretty, I’ll spare you the details but it wasn’t fucking pretty. It freaked us out.”
“Oh God,” You muttered, your mind moving a mile a minute, “Oh my God. I’m next.”
“No.” Roman says, an animalistic roar from deep in his chest, his arms working to pull you even closer, “No. Nothing is going to happen to you. I won’t let it.”
“What if something happens that you can’t stop? Or you’re not there? Or I’m alone? Or, or, fuck! I don’t know!” You gasp, your heart palpating in your chest.
You had never been faced with your own mortality before. You had never had a near death experience or even anything close to one. You sometimes felt embarrassed when your peers would talk about terrifying advantentures they had embarked on that almost ended fatally but they triphumpanlty survived. Or activities they foolishly starred in and swore they saw their lives flash before their eyes. The stories were likely embellished, but you still felt square. You weren’t an adrenaline junkie, you didn’t even like carnival rides. You liked knowing you’d wake the next day, safe and sound with two feet planted firmly on the ground. This feeling of possible and even probable death by crazed werewolf made your vision blur and bile coat your tongue.
There wasn’t enough air in the world to satisfy your thirsty lungs.
“Hey, hey, stop!” Roman said sternly, his voice working to break through your wave of panic, “Nothing is going to happen, OK? Nothing. I will do whatever possible to keep you safe. I don’t care what it takes.”
“Ro --” Tears had begun to fall from your eyes without your knowledge, and his name came from your lips weak and whimpered.
“I have you, I’ve got you. I am going to be with you 24-fucking-7 until we kill this thing. I am not going to leave your side until I have a fucking Vargulf head in the trophy room.” He reassures.
“How can you be with me when you are going off to kill it?”
“Then I’m gonna lock you in Shelley’s room and make you stay put until I’m back. We aren’t taking any chances with this.”
You pull back once more to look at him with glazed eyes; his face pink from sleep and tears.
“You’ll stay at the house until we kill this thing, alright? I don’t care what Olivia or anyone else says, you’ll stay with me.”
“What if it comes here anyway? What if it hurts my mom? Oh my God, Roman, my mom!” Your blubbering again.
“Fuck it, she can come, too. We’ll make something up, have Peter forge some documents from the city that say you guys have to get out of this house, then I’ll offer up guest bedrooms. We’ll figure it out.” He replies, smoothing your hair against your head.
“Do you really think it’ll work?”
Roman sighs, “I mean if it doesn’t I could, y’know, persuade her.”
“Roman, no.”
You knew Roman would never do anything to hurt your beloved mother, but the thought of him using his eye-thing on her made your stomach twist.
“I would and I will if I have to. I’ll do what I have to to keep you safe. That’s just how it is.”
He was your protector. Your warrior. Fuck Peter, fuck his mother and Destiny. Fuck anyone who told him this wasn’t his fight, that he should bow out and let the Rumanecks handle this. Because now it definitely was. Now, he was to be the one who saved the town and you and Peter and Letha and Shelley. He was to be the one who cut off the head of this wolf or ripped it apart with his bare hands to keep his loved ones safe. He was strong, he was the warrior.
“OK.” You surrendered to his declarations of safety and tried to let his presence lull you.
You’d have to pack some things in a few hours, help come up with a lie to convince your mother, then move into the Godfrey mansion and hope it’s walls were enough to shuck this black omen from your soul.
“I got you, I promise I do.” Roman hushes, placing a delicate kiss to your forehead.
Your burrow deeper into his embrace and refuse to tell him about the dream you’d had the night before. The dream about spitting your teeth into his hands and running your tongue over your coppery gums. You needed to call Destiny or Peter’s mom to get the prognosis on if it meant anything. If it was just unsettling or apart of whatever Roman and Peter were seeing at night. For now, all you could hope was that it was the former, and Roman’s energy was enough to heal your fearful heart.

How I Want You - Logan Delos x Reader Fluff
The one where Logan confesses that he loves you.
Warnings: angst, Logan’s crappy father, sexual themes, selfdoubt and selfhatred.
A/N: No, I couldn’t help myself. I’m obsessed with Taylor Swift and it shows.

Y/N’s P.O.V.
It was way too fucking late for anyone to be up, and still, much too early for Logan to have gone to bed. Which was why the second my phone rang, I forsake my comfy blankets and grabbed my keys, knowing exactly who it was - the only person who would call me at such a time and the only number whose call would get through during my sleeping hours.
“Where are you?” Was all I asked, although I already knew that the answer wouldn’t be satisfactory to my plan of going back to sleep as soon as possible. “You know what? Just stay where you are. I’m coming to get you. This is why I download that find my friends app in the first place.”
“I’m home,” he interjected, his tone sounding very firm, and very tired, and very not drunk for the time of day. It caught me by surprise. “I’ll be waiting.”And then he was gone. Hung up in a show of just how quickly he needed me to get to him.
It made my skin crawl and heartbeat pick up, that intuition that only ever acted when it came to him telling me something very bad had happened, or at the very least, that he was as far away from okay as he could get. And if he was home, then it truly was the worst case scenario.
I got there as fast as I could without breaking any laws, and I barely allowed myself the time to kill off the engine before I was running out of the vehicle and into my best friend’s arms. Logan welcomed with a silent desperation that came in the form of reaching for me as a child would for any sort of parental guidance, and the anxiety that had been coursing through my veins while I couldn’t see his state little by little began to be replaced by anger. Pure, unadulterated, blinding anger.
“Get in the car, Lo,” I called him by the childhood nickname he pretended to hate, knowing it would help in my task to calm him down. “I’ll be right back.” He wanted to stop me the second that he realized what my intention was. I knew it because he seized my wrist and held it tightly, stopping me from moving any further away from him. But the second that he saw my eyes, when I turned around to stare at him and silently order him to let go, he did just so, knowing better than anyone else that when I got into this mindset, there was no one who could possibly get me out of it.
“Okay.” He nodded, and I knew he was watching me as I stepped into the huge mansion Logan did not call home. It only made me even more sure of what I intended to do. With quick strides, I crossed the main floor in the direction of his father’s office, and I didn’t even knock before I slammed it open, fire burning inside of me.
“What the fuck did you say to him?” I yelled as soon as James’ eyes met mine after my loud entrance startled him from whatever work he was trying to do at such a late hour - work he had always prioritized over his son.
“What?” He asked, clearly not expecting my sudden outburst, and probably not immediately relating my loss of reason to his only son. It only made me grow angrier, the fact that just because he didn’t worry about Logan, he couldn’t imagine anyone else caring for him either.
“What the fuck did you tell Logan that made him so upset? Only you can make him feel bad about himself, so I know it’s your fault. Tell me.” When realization finally seemed to hit him, no ounce of regret or shame painted James’ features, but that didn’t surprise me. Even if he had never been anything other than sweet to me, being Logan’s best friend meant I knew who he really was, and that implied that I knew every single one of his flaws as a father. He just didn’t know that I did, until then.
“You’re a smart girl, Y/N. You really shouldn’t waste your time on a failure like him.” The harsh reality of what he had said hurt me so deeply that it immediately drained me of all anger, leaving only a sickly feeling of disgust behind.
“Logan deserves every single second of my attention, and he deserves yours too. I’m sorry you can’t see it, but the only one who’s missing out is you.” Cold, bitter tears of pity for the sweet man I knew flowed down my cheeks, but I was quick to wipe them away. Logan didn’t need to see them.
“How was it in there?” He asked as soon as I was inside of the car again, his lips curled in a small smile that was half self-conscious, half knowing of what his father was capable of saying when it came to him, but I couldn’t yet stomach what I’d heard, so I just clutched his hand tightly with mine.
“Doesn’t matter. How about a sleepover?”
Logan’s P.O.V.
The drive to her place was silent, but she kept reaching for my hand every time she could, like she needed the physical reminder that I was there with her, instead of back at my house. Like she knew that I needed to be reminded of that too.
What would I do without her? Ever since I could remember, it was us against the world. Or more precisely, us against my father, and as a child, he was pretty much the only boundaries to the world that I knew. But even after I grew and started to see past my father’s empire, when I started to make real, lousy mistakes, instead of the childhood errors that would get me grounded, she still stuck up for me. She was always there, whenever I needed her.
My eyes trailed up her body, taking notice of the way her sleepwear still managed to make her curves enticing. She always looked beautiful in my eyes. No matter how many women I slept with, they could never come close to the beauty that I saw in my best friend and only in her.
“What do you see in me?” I blurted out, suddenly overtaken by the realization of just how inferior to her I was. It made my chest feel tighter, and breathing became a bit harder. The tears that would never come for my father suddenly stung my eyes, and I had to rub the palms of my hands against them to stop myself from crying.
“I’m sorry?” It seemed like she wasn’t expecting the sudden interruption to the silence that had fallen between us, but the desperation that had forced me to ask the question that plagued me had been dulled by my fear of her answer. I couldn’t bear the thought of knowing she thought less of me. I couldn’t bear the thought of being less in her eyes than she was in mine.
“Logan, what do you see in yourself?” She asked, once more glancing at me to make sure I was fine, which I was certain I would be able to pretend like I was. But of course, I could never fool her. So when she squeezed my hand to get me to talk, I found myself answering honestly, “Nothing. I-I’m nothing, Y/N. I’m just a waste of space and air and energy, your energy, and I have absolutely no idea why you put up with me.”
We had arrived at her apartment complex, I realized, but only because suddenly there were arms thrown over me, and a familiar neck for me to nuzzle with a familiar perfume that seemed to be the only thing able to relax my very soul.
“Well, that’s the exact opposite of what I see in you, Logan Delos. I see so much, I see everything. I see the whole wide world in you. You’ve always meant that for me. And to see you doubt that… There’s not a day in my life where I don’t hate your father for making you think so little of yourself.” That had me laughing against her skin, but it was a wet sound, unfortunately. Still, she didn’t seem to mind, allowing me to cling tightly to her as she drew soft patterns on my back. “You can’t say bad things about yourself, ever. That’s an order.”
After that last comment made me pull away from her to freely laugh, she looked patiently at me with the most loving smile on her face. “Do you have any idea what you mean to me?” I asked, caressing the side of her face and grinning with pride when she leaned against my touch.
“Almost as much as you mean to me, I hope.” I swear, only she could have me laughing after feeling so down a few minutes before.
“Way more than that.”
“I doubt it.”
For a while, it was a staring contest between the two of us in her tiny car. I wanted to lean in and kiss her. God, I wanted to find out if her lips were as soft as they looked like But the second my hand grazed her cheek, she seemed to snap out of whatever reverie we had fallen on, quickly putting some space between us to unbuckle her belt.
“Let’s go,” she called out, reaching out for my hand as we walked towards her apartment. The second we were in the familiar setting of her living room, I felt the last bit of weight that had settled over my chest suddenly vaporize and disappear.
“Thank you for bringing me here,” I acknowledged as I took off my coat. “I owe you.”
“You owe me nothing,” she tried to wave it off, but I couldn’t let her do that. No, I needed her to understand that this was important to me, and I started by pulling her close so I could cradle her face between my hands and force her to see the seriousness in my so often joking eyes.
“I owe you a lot.” That was all I managed to say, as my throat closed at the quickening of my heartbeat. The moment felt heavy with something we couldn’t find it in ourselves to explore, and so we just stood there in silence, eyes cautiously exploring each other’s features until one of us decided to break the tension with a joke.
This time, it was her.
“I’m glad I downloaded that app on my phone and activated your location on yours. I seriously considered buying you a nice collar, with a tracker or something, so I could always know where you were when you called me. Especially when drunk.” I didn’t expect her words to have such an effect on me, but it was instantaneous. I felt my cock harden on my pants, and I knew that she could feel it too as I hid my blushing face in the crook of her neck.
“Are you trying to turn me on or are you really that oblivious?” I tried to pass it off as a joke, hoping to calm down despite keeping her touch close to me, but when her fingers buried themselves in my hair, I knew she’d only keep me balancing on this tightrope we’d been dancing on for way too long.
“I had no idea you were into that kind of stuff. Does the idea of wearing a collar entice you that much, Lo?” She asked, and although I knew she also wanted to pass it off as a joke, her voice sounded different, raspier. Filled with desire, I realized with a jolt, finally detaching myself from her to look her in the eye again.
This was it. This was my chance to say something that would irrevocably change the nature of our relationship forever, but hopefully, it’d become all I’d ever wanted.
Y/N’s P.O.V.
“If it’s a collar that shows I belong to you, definitely.” I inhaled sharply at the words that fell oh-so-easily from my best friend’s lips. I knew him enough - I knew him way too much - to doubt the veracity of them, but that didn’t stop me from being overwhelmed at the realization that Logan wanted to be mine just as much as I wanted to be his.
“C’mon, stop teasing me,” I pleaded, trying to put some space between us, but failing to do so. Logan kept me close to him, gaze heavy on my body and when I still refused to meet his eyes, he held my jaw and forced me to do so.
“No, you c’mon. You know this isn’t me teasing you like when we were kids. I really, really want you. And not only like a best friend.” I didn’t even notice I was biting my lip until he pried it away with his thumb, staring longingly at it. “I’m gonna kiss you now.”
Before becoming a kiss, it was just him sucking that same bottom lip into his mouth, making me gasp and hold onto his shoulders for support. But then, he fused our mouths together, licking his way inside my mouth until I couldn’t breathe anymore.
When my eyes fluttered open to find his, I could barely see his pupils anymore. “Well, I don’t think I’ll be able to sleep after that,” I joked, trying to ease some of the tension in the room, but failing miserably. There was too much desire between us to disappear just like that. We’d need to find a way to release it if we were to ever move past this.
“I’d be offended if you were.” It felt nice to laugh with him after this kiss, this revelation of sentiments. It felt like, regardless of what we would become after tonight, I wouldn’t lose the most important person in my life, my best friend. The only one who could make me laugh like this, even after a breathtaking kiss, apparently.
“Wanna do something else, instead?”

When they say it happens in less than a second, they really weren’t kidding. The doctor said I have brain damage, but I feel fine. I never saw the car, just a flash of light and then nothing. They said I was conscious when they pulled me from the wreckage but that’s all that’s missing.
I’m twenty-seven. Have a job I adore. Own a small house with my best friend.
I was on my way to visit her, Kris, at work. She hadn’t stopped by yet but the doctors did say she called. I felt awful. I was supposed to be dropping off her house key. The doctors said I’d been in and out for a day or so but that means she couldn’t get into the house last night after work.
A light tap on my door pulled me from my daydreaming. A nurse smiled at me as she walked in, pushing a cart of food. It looked like some kind of sandwich but I couldn’t identify the meat.
“Hey, how are you feeling? It’s ham for lunch. I even snagged an extra cup of applesauce.” I smiled gratefully at her. I was starving. The nausea from this morning had subsided.
“I’m alright. Excited to finally eat something,” I chuckled. She moved the swiveling table over my lap, setting the plate and utensils down.
“Let me just double check some vitals and then I can leave you be,” she said, taking my arm. I nodded and laid back. She took my blood pressure and felt around my neck. “Any headache?” I thought about it before shaking my head.
“That’s progress but you still have a concussion. Whenever they let you out, be sure to take it easy for a while. No contact sports for example,” she advised. I couldn’t hold back my chuckle.
“Please, the last time I played something that could be considered a ‘contact sport,’ I was a sophomore in high school.” She smiled and chuckled along with me. She continued her work silently as I stared at the ceiling.
A quick rapping at the door and another nurse speaking made me jump. She held onto the arm of a man. He looked scared and even from here I could see the wetness glossing over his eyes behind his glasses. Whoever he was here for was incredibly lucky. To have someone care about them that much.
His dirty blonde hair was messy, like he had run his fingers through it repeatedly. He looked familiar though I couldn’t place it. A leather jacket over a t-shirt with black jeans and high-tops. Must be the wrong room.
I couldn’t take my eyes off the two of them arguing quietly. She whispered something in his ear and I watched his eyebrows draw together and he glanced toward me. Relief washed over his features as he moved toward me slowly.
Wait a minute… who is this?
“Y/N, god you’re ok. I came as soon as I could. I was in a session with the guys and you know how Pete can get. I’m so sorry” He stopped next to my bed, taking my hand in his. My eyes darted between him and the nurse that had come in with him. The nurse taking my vitals rested a hand on his shoulder, tugging him back from me slightly.
“Looks like you have a visitor. Do you remember him,” she asked gently? I looked over him again, studying his face. Familiar but not enough to say I knew him.
“Um… no. I’m sorry. Who are you?” The pain that flashed across his face made me want to eat my words. I didn’t know him but god I wish I did. Anything to make him smile. I bet it would be beautiful.
He didn’t drop my hand but instead rubbed his thumb over the skin. I couldn’t remember the last time someone had done that for me. My shoulders released all their tension.
“I’m Patrick, your boyfriend. Kris called me. She should be here soon.” My mouth hung open slightly. I wracked my brain. Kris called him? I didn’t think he was lying but…
“The crash caused a concussion and some minor brain damage. She wasn’t hit head on so we think her memory could return but it may take time.” The room fell silent as he and I processed. His thumb still ran over the back of my hand, and he gave no indication that he would let go.
“Maybe you should wait outside until Kris gets here,” the nurse that came in with him said. Patrick’s gaze finally left my face to look back at her. “I only say this because if she’s as confused as she looks then it might be best to wait for someone she recognizes.”
He gave my hand a gentle squeeze but laid it back on the bed. He smiled sadly at me and moved toward the door. I reached for him, not fully understanding why. I just knew it felt nice to have him with me.
“Wait,” I rushed out. He paused and looked back at me. “You don’t have to go… It can get pretty lonely,” I said, trying to smile. He blinked a couple times. The nurses shared a look but didn’t push him out. He pulled a chair next to my bed, though he didn’t take my hand again.
“We’ll be just a button push away if you need anything,” one of the nurses said, glancing at Patrick. I nodded and they left.
The silence was awkward at first. I had asked him to stay but didn’t have a clue what to talk about. He said he’s my boyfriend so I should feel comfortable with him. Safe. And I do but there’s another feeling. Awe, maybe?
“You say you’re my boyfriend,” I started hesitantly. “You called me by my name earlier so clearly you know me. But there’s something else right? I feel like I recognize you but not in a personal way; if that makes sense.” His head tilted and he smiled at me, a light blush covering his cheeks.
“Um, well you might know me as a singer from a band. It’s sort of well known,” he said, wringing his hands together. I stared at him. A band? I chucked at his vagueness.
“Want to tell me the name of said band or no?” I grinned as he looked around the room. “Oh I see.” His eyes met mine again. “You want me to guess? Well give me sample. Serenade me,” I joked. He snorted and laughed with me.
This was nice. Easy. If we were really dating, I could tell why. As much as I hate the term, he was totally my type. He reached for my hand again, seeming to hesitate before I turned my palm up. I wanted to hold his hand. It was calloused from what I assume was years of the guitar.
“What do you want to hear,” he asked? I thought for a moment.
“Something comforting. What would I listen to before bed?” He chuckled a little and scratched his head. I raised an eyebrow.
“You used to listen—” Loud footsteps sprinted down the hallway.
“Y/N! Holy shit I’m so sorry! God… are you ok?” Kris burst into the room, practically tackling me. She squeezed me as best she could, arms wrapped around my neck and shoulders. The bruises rejected the affection, sending pain shooting through my back and arms.
“OW! Kris, please…” She released me immediately, apologizing profusely. I took in her wrecked face. Blotchy and red. More tears already pooled in her eyes. “Oh, babe. I’m ok. Please don’t cry anymore,” I said, smiling at her. She shook her head before sitting heavily on my bed, grabbing my other hand.
We sat and talked over the events of the previous day. Patrick brought her up to speed on my amnesia. Amnesia that I feel like I don’t have. But Kris didn’t seem worried about him so I guess he’s telling the truth.
“Is any other part missing,” she asked me?
“Well if it is, I wouldn’t know. Almost like I can’t remember,” I said sarcastically. She rolled her eyes, a smile threatening to peak out.
The two of them spent the rest of the day with me. They asked questions, well… Kris asked questions… about what I could remember. Patrick sat quietly for the most part, injecting his thoughts when asked but mostly just rubbing my hand and shoulders. He never made a move to kiss me or anything, even though any boyfriend might. I would be lying if I said I didn’t want to kiss him.
The nurses came in every couple hours to check my vitals. Eventually the doctor came in with results from a scan to determine if I had a concussion. Long story short, I did. They told me that as long as I took it easy and came back in a week for a follow up, I could relax at home. I was cleared to leave the following day.
-
“Could you stop hitting every. Bump,” I complained from the back seat as another pothole jostled me around.
“Look, I’m doing my best ok. We’ll be home soon,” Kris responded. I hardly recognized the turns we were taking. More evidence of the – hopefully – short term amnesia. Patrick sat in the seat next to me, holding my hand again.
I rested my head on his shoulder, hoping that it would ease the nausea. He jumped slightly, though I didn’t call him out on it. He had kept himself at a distance. While I appreciated it, he didn’t have to. It was so easy to be comfortable around him. I wasn’t worried that he would hurt me.
We pulled into the driveway, my shoulders finally relaxing at the thought of crawling back into a bed. Kris hopped out of the car, rushing around to my door that I pushed open. I could walk by myself but they both stayed close.
I’m already sick of the overly cautious treatment.
I looked around the entry way, kicking my shoes off. It all felt familiar but my brain simply refused to remember the details. Which way was my room? Where were the pots in the kitchen? What channels were my shows on? It was like I remembered living here but never actually did.
The blue carpet was soft under my feet. I could see the tracks of where people usually walked. I followed them down a hall, peaking in doorways, trying to guess which spaces were mine.
The last room on the left stuck out to me. I couldn’t help but smile to myself as I pushed the door open completely. One wall was black and accented with white flecks resembling stars and bright blues and greens twisting like the northern lights.
“Well at least you can still tell what room yours is,” Kris teased. I rolled my eyes, though she couldn’t see it. A guitar sat against the bed. I ran my hands over the wood before moving it to the empty stand closer to the wall.
I flopped down into the fuzzy blanket, regretting my decision immediately. The sudden stop jerked my arms, sending pain through my body. The doctors had said it was a miracle nothing was broken, but there was definitely some strain.
I hissed in a breath, curling into a ball and praying it would make the pain stop, squeezing my eyes shut. I felt a gentle hand on my back, rubbing up and down my spine.
“I’m here. I know it hurts. It’ll stop in a moment.” Patrick’s voice washed over me. And the pain did subside. I knew it would but him saying it made me want to think he chased it away.
I let out a breath, slowly unfurling myself. Patrick pulled my blanket back slowly, giving me time to maneuver and crawl under it. I let my eyes drift shut and he began to pet my hair. Kris said something about making food but I could hardly hear her. I was drifting.
I pulled my eyes open what felt like a moment later. Patrick was no longer petting my head but I could hear him humming to himself. The light coming through the window was a mix of orange and pink. Must have been at least a few hours.
I pushed myself up slowly, looking around. He was seated at a desk, scrolling through his phone. He glanced up at me. Seeing that I was up, he set down his phone and came to sit on the bed next to me.
“Hey there. How do you feel?” As if on que, I yawned. He chuckled as I rubbed my eyes.
“Tired, I guess,” I joked.
“Well Kris made Mac and Cheese but you were already asleep. I can warm it up for you if you’d like?” I pushed myself into a sitting position.
“Maybe in a bit. What were you humming?” He gave a small smile, blush covering his cheeks.
“That song you wanted me to sing yesterday. Lullaby.” I raised an eyebrow.
“Seems fitting,” I wondered out loud. “Can you sing it for me now?”
“After you’ve already slept?”
“I want to see if it helps me remember you. It would be heartbreaking to see someone you care about forget you. I just want to fix it. You don’t deserve that.” I played with my fingers, wanting to reach for his hand.
Seeming to read my mind, Patrick grabbed my hand, though he didn’t stop there. I watched as he brought my hand to his lips, kissing the back of my fingers gently. His smile was beaming as he stood, grabbing the guitar from the stand. He fiddled with the tuning knobs.
“You are still one of the most considerate and loving people I have ever met. I could never say ‘no’ to you.” I felt the blush rise to my face, a small grin sneaking out. He started playing a simple tune, soft and relaxing. But when he started singing, I couldn’t fight the tears that came to my eyes.
“Honey is for bees, silly bear Besides, there's jellybeans everywhere It's not what it seems in the land of dreams Don't worry your head just go to sleep It doesn't matter how you feel Life is just a Ferris wheel It's always up and down Don't make a sound When you wake up the world will come around When you wake up the world will come around.”
I remembered. I remembered a similar situation. I had met him in a guitar shop when he was looking for something else. He convinced me to buy that guitar. He had played a few strings of this very song to show me how easy it was. I had butchered it completely but he never stopped working with me.
Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy was giving me guitar lessons and seemed to be enjoying himself. He asked to see me again and we did.
I shook my head, tears slipping down my cheeks. There were still pieces missing. I could tell. But I knew him. I knew Patrick and he was still here. Playing for me just like the first day and I was crazy about him.
I reached out to touch his hand that held the neck of the guitar. He let the sound drift off before looking up at me. He took note of the tears running down my face and lifted his hand to wipe them away. I turned my face into his hand, kissing his palm.
“Patrick.” It was quiet but he heard me. He set the guitar down again and pulled me close, running his hands through my hair.
“Did you remember something,” he asked gently. I nodded against his shoulder.
“You played that song for me the day we met.” I felt his arms tighten around me and he pressed a kiss to my head. “It’s still fuzzy, but maybe if you play for me… I’ll start to remember.”
“Anything for you.” He pressed another kiss to my forehead.
We stayed like that for who knows how long. I think I dozed off again but Patrick never let me go.

18. Koi No Yokan
Ten had to admit that (Y/N) looked different that Monday morning. "Did you finish your illustration?" He asked and she beamed, sitting on her chair and telling the senior editor that she's going to send the file right now. "What's gotten into her?" The older asked the younger guy who was also staring at their friend.
Jungwoo shrugged then smiled. "Maybe she's getting dicked down." He muttered that made Ten nod. "See? She's wearing a skirt today. Is her boyfriend coming back today?" Ten shrugged, answering 'probably' just as a ping came to his computer.
He opened the file and even Jungwoo was surprised at how arousing her work is. This is definitely a keeper. "I'm glad Yuta is a great influence on her. Our baby is growing up." Ten noted while scrolling her illustration. If Johnny rejects this, he'll definitely hear from him. "I hope Yuta doesn't hurt her."
"I doubt that. Have you seen hearts in his eyes whenever he would look at her? He's whipped." Jungwoo exclaimed then sighed. "Young love." Ten giggled at that, asking about Lucas. "He's in China for a month. That motherfucker."
--
When the 6 pm mark on the clock struck, (Y/N) had already finished putting on lipgloss and powdered her nose. She fixed her skirt just as a shiny black car parked outside the publishing house which made her smile. "Wild night?" Jungwoo asked and the girl only grinned as an answer. "Will you be coming to work tomorrow?"
"I'm not sure. I'll call you tomorrow."
Ten giggled. "Don't bother, (Y/N). I'll send you the draft tomorrow just send it to me after getting your Japanese meal." Jungwoo snorted at that and she rolled her eyes at their teasing. "Enjoy your Japanese cock." He waved goodbye at the girl who knocked on the window of the car.
Yuta was wearing a black shirt, grinning when he opened the door for her. "Shouldn't I hand out the souvenirs for your coworkers?" He asked when she's inside the car, earning a frown from her. "I guess I'll give it to them when I see them." She decided to just look outside as Yuta started the engine, crossing her legs to at least give him a hint.
Days of not seeing each other and a promise of a wild night made her so horny that it pissed her off that he's thinking about her coworkers. And she's wearing a short skirt for crying out loud. "Do you want to eat dinner first?"
She rolled her eyes at that. Dinner? Again? Why does he always ask that? She raised an eyebrow at that, maybe there's something she can do. "I want to eat you." She said in a haughty tone that made him chuckle. The girl moved closer, placing a hand on his thigh. "Please Yuta."
Fuck it, Yuta thought, how can he stop her when she's begging like this? She's so fucking pretty. He smiled at her, holding her cheek. "And I badly want you, sweetheart." He confessed. "But I want you to eat first. I don't want you to pass out on me." That made her gasp. He's going to be rough on her?
Will it really happen? The thing she was worried about in Paris? Will he really defeat the sex marathon with her? She might not really come to work tomorrow.
She listened to him the whole span of dinner, even finishing her rice and steak. When he asked for dessert, she declined with a grin and Yuta smiled. The ride home was quiet and when Yuta parked his car, the glint on her eyes looked so tempting. "God, I want you."
In no time, (Y/N) moved from the passenger seat to his lap and the sudden action made him groan. Her lips were already on his own, swallowing the groans when she rocked her body forward. Her hands went inside his shirt, feeling his tone body as her lips moved south to his neck creating supple marks on his skin. "Fuck baby."
The girl positioned her throbbing core on his erection and started grinding on it, the roughness of the zipper creating delicious friction against her wet underwear. (Y/N) started riding his clothed member, moaning at how real the humping is. Her underwear was so wet that it doesn't leave anything in the imagination, she could feel him between her folds and the zipper made it so rough that she was enjoying it almost.
Yuta bucked his hips that made her scream, her sounds are pleasing music to his ear as they both dry humph each other. Damn, who would have thought that days of wanting her would lead to this? "Yuta, I'm close..." she moaned as he kept his speed in thrusting her, even pushing her back to the steering wheel and fucking her wet underwear for her. He's also close, evident on the dark spot forming on his jeans. "Yuta!" she shouted as the wet spot on her underwear grew darker, some of it appearing on his jeans.
He didn't stop his thrusts as she ride her orgasm and he came with a muffled moan against her neck. "You are so amazing, baby." he complimented, giving her neck a kiss going north to her mouth. "I think I owe you an underwear," he said while assessing the current situation they were in.
(Y/N) giggled then eyed his jeans. "And I owe you a pair of jeans." Yuta just gaped at his pants which have a dark spot on his crotch, not knowing whether it was her juice or his own juice.
"Nah, it's my new favorite jeans," he claimed as he smiled at her figure, still seated on his lap. Yuta tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear and she mirrored the same smile that he had. "Let's get you upstairs. Can you walk?" He asked and she giggled, nodding at him.
--
The sticky feeling was quickly disregarded when Yuta invited her to the bath even if it made her pout. He filled the tub with warm water, even putting a lavender bath bomb, and some rose petals that made her giggle. Where did he get that? He even helped her get inside the tub, letting her sit in between his legs, back facing him. The lavender scent makes her calm, just like Yuta. "How is your work in New Zealand?"
If possible, she heard him smile. "It's fine. They were really amazed at the technological advances so they're interested in investing. I might come back to New Zealand next month because of that." She leaned on his chest that made him instinctively smile. "Do you want to come with me?" His right hand held her hair.
"Do you think Johnny will allow me?" She asked and he grinned. "Did I tell you that he already accepted my illustration?" He shook his head but still smiling. "My work will be published soon."
He kissed the top of her head. "Congratulations, baby! I knew you can do it." He said while holding her cheek with his left hand. "I'm proud of you."
Those words. The words she wanted to hear all this time.
And it warms her heart that someone is telling this to her. That Yuta is telling this to her.
"I have a question, Yuta." He just raised an eyebrow at her, urging her to continue. "That time, in the plane…" she started that made him nod. "If I didn't follow you that time. Do you think we'll still be like this?"
Yuta laughed at that, making her sit up straight then stared at him. What's funny? "If I didn't ask you to have sex with me at that time, we're probably meeting in an Italian restaurant or watching a movie by now." She raised an eyebrow at that. "I probably took the correct steps in pursuing you and we'll probably be on our tenth date?"
"Why me?"
"I already answered that question."
What was that? He said something Japanese before. "Koi?" She started.
Yuta smiled. "Koi no yokan." He continued for her. "It's a Japanese term, a feeling upon first meeting someone that you knew you will fall in love with them." A shy smile escaped his lips.
"Like a premonition?"
He nodded. "A premonition of love." Yuta pulled her closer that she's now sitting on his lap, the same position as in the car earlier. "It's tough to explain, (Y/N)." She wanted to shrug off the topic before Yuta could say other things but he continued, "I guess love really works that way."
He said it. The L-word. The word she had been avoiding forever. But the way it rolled out his tongue seemed so natural, so real. "You looked surprised." He teased and she just pursed her lips at that. "We don't have to talk about it if it makes you uncomfortable. Let's just stay the way we are, just stay with me."
Before (Y/N) could say something, Yuta held the back of her head and kissed her forehead. "Let's get you out of the tub, princess. It's getting cold." He pulled a towel to wrap her then asked (Y/N) to just get some clothes in his closet to wear since he had to clean the tub.
--
The girl was seated on the couch when he went out of the bedroom after putting on clothes. "Do you want anything? Ramen?" He asked while heading to the kitchen. The girl only muttered a silent 'nothing' before he made his own cup of coffee. "Do you want to go to sleep now?"
"Yuta?" She called and he hummed to ask what she needs. "I told Ten that I won't go to work tomorrow." The guy smiled. How did their arousal turn into something this awkward? Just because of his confession? "Do you want to go out?"
"Go out?" He repeated, walking to where she is with a cup of coffee.
She smiled timidly then stared at him while fiddling her fingers. She's nervous. "Go out." She cleared. "We can eat in an Italian restaurant or watch movies." The guy had to smile at that. Why is she so adorable?
"Okay." He said quickly, grinning at her. "It's a date then."

Part 3
Warning: Graphic (Labor Story)
“Alright Scarlet, you’re doing fine, just breathe... you’re almost fully dilated...” Cassandra said to her cousin. Pennywise was getting tired from being down on his knees for so long, but he had to, just to get this whole labor over with. Papawise was enjoying the show obviously. “Quit staring at my wife’s... uh... dilated area!” Pennywise snapped. “I’m not staring at her trunk, I’m staring at the baby, but it wasn’t out yet, so I had to have a closer look.” Papawise said with a smirk. Aquarius had enough with Papawise’s ways, so she used her leg that Papawise was holding and kicked him in the face. “OW...” Papawise exclaimed, which cause him to let go of her leg. “Scarlet! For crying out loud!” Cassandra snapped. “GET THAT SICKO OUT OF HERE!” Aquarius roared in anger and pain.
Pennywise noticed that Aquarius was crying, not just in pain, but for the karma she is receiving. So he grew his extra arm; leftover from his spider form, just so he can painfully crawl over to his wife. “Star--ow OUCH--foots asleep--FOOTS ASLEEP.” Aquarius was actually laughing at Pennywise crawling funnily. Pennywise smiled from hearing her laughing, even if she’s in pain. “Star my love... I know this whole thing hurts; I can see that 3 inches dilated ago. But you’re stronger than I’ve ever known, you can do this... Prove to the world that you’re stronger than any male can handle.” Pennywise encouraged. “Thanks for the support, Penny... I love--YOU.” Aquarius screamed in pain. Pennywise got back to his position with Papawise recovering from his broken nose attempt, being more serious this time. “Alright cuz, it’s time to do some pushes... Get ready to push...” Scarlet ordered as she was being more prepared for the delivery.
***
Meanwhile at Camp Crystal Lake, Archie was sleeping with tears running down his cheeks, as he was crying in his sleep. When he woke up from a depressing dream, he walked over to the kitchen counter for a glass of water. Then he heard a bathroom door open; it was MJ, exiting the bathroom. She was going to go back to bed until she noticed Archie. “Hi Archie... I’ve been hearing you crying in your sleep as I was on my way to the bathroom; did you have a bad dream?” MJ asked. Archie sniffed before he nodded. “Aww... Come here...” MJ said as she opened her arms. Archie cling to her as he was hugging her like as if she was his mom. “There there, it’s alright... It’s all over now... Let’s talk about that dream of yours, it’s what I do with my parents when I was upset.” MJ offered.
Archie was explaining how he was nervous about having a baby in the house, and how he might not get the same amount of love from his parents. “I understand... I’ve been there... My disowned half-sister was pregnant four times, but from the first time, I feel like I was not getting the same amount of love from my parents; from all the changes in the house, and how some of the pictures of me were removed to replace it with the picture of my first nephew...” MJ explained. “Did your parents know this was affecting you?” Archie asked. “Clear as rain... But they still love me and that they have a reason to have some of the pictures removed... As I got older, including my nephew, I find that being an aunt is the most rewarding... Just you wait Archie, someday when your sibling is older, he or she will look up to you, and then you’ll get about the same attention as the baby will.” MJ assures. Archie smiled after hearing all that. “Thanks for taking the time to listen to my thoughts.” Archie thanked. “Anytime son...” MJ said before she kissed his forehead. “I think I’ll go back to my sleeping bag now.” Archie said, as he got off from the kitchen chair and walked over to his sleeping bag. “Pleasant dreams sweetie.” MJ said quietly before she walked back to her room to sleep with her husband.
***
After the past eight hours, Aquarius has been approving. “I can see the head, keep pushing cuz’.” Cassandra cheered. “Would you like to touch it, Penny?” Cassandra turned to Pennywise with a smile. “Uh... I better not.” Pennywise answered. “I’LL TOUCH IT.” Papawise said excitedly. “No, you will not!” Pennywise snapped. “Come on Scarlet, push hard!” Cassandra coached.
Aquarius was giving the toughest push she could, the pain was so unbearable; it felt like a watermelon trying to go through a doughnut-hole horizontally. After Aquarius did a large final push, she screamed and roared in pain. The last thing she heard was the baby’s cries. “It’s a GIRL.” Cassandra announced. Pennywise was amazed, he crawled towards his wife and kissed her passionately. “We’ve finally got ourselves a daughter Aquarius... What do you think about that?” Pennywise asked while dabbing a cool wet cloth on her forehead. “...I feel... so blessed...” Aquarius sighed in relief and pleasure.
While Cassandra cleans the baby, both Pennywise and Papawise carried Aquarius to her bedroom to rest; but not before she gets to hold her new daughter. Cassandra came in with the baby all wrapped up like a burrito and pass it down to Aquarius. “She’s very beautiful cuz’. I couldn’t help but cry.” Cassandra complimented. When Aquarius opened the swaddle a little to see the baby’s face, she is indeed beautiful; she has red blush on her cheeks, full red lips like her daddy, pink eye-shadow, Blue on the eyebrows, and gorgeous pink curly hair. “Oh Penny... She’s beautiful...” Aquarius said as she teared up. “She is precious, like candy...” Pennywise chuckled softly. “Which is exactly why I wanted to name our little gumdrop Kandy.” Aquarius announced before Pennywise made an excited gasp. “Can we also call her Gumdrop? you know, as her middle name.” Pennywise asked. Aquarius smirked, until she realize that ‘Kandy Gumdrop’ had a good ringtone to it. “Absolutely, Kandy Gumdrop Gray it is then.” Aquarius agreed. Then Pennywise and Aquarius kissed one last time... for now.
“Would you like to hold her, love?” Aquarius then asked. Pennywise nearly gasped. “I--I... I’d love to...” Pennywise said, as he was nearly flabbergasted. So Pennywise picked up his daughter and held her in his arms, looking down on her with admiration. Then he noticed that Kandy was opening her one eye before the other. “Hiya Kandy... I’m your daddy-wise, yes I am, and you’re my little Kandy Gumdrop.” Pennywise cooed with a popping sound at the end. Kandy made a cute little smile before she falls asleep again. “She’s so cute...” Pennywise said before he kissed his daughter by the forehead. “You look cute too, Penny. I love seeing you holding a baby in your arms.” Aquarius said. “Just like when Archie was born... Speaking of Archie, should we give the Voorhees a call?” Pennywise asked. Aquarius nodded to Pennywise’s question, since she was too tired from making a painful delivery. “You may have some rest, love, while I look over the baby.” Pennywise insisted before he kissed his wife again.
***
It was morning, and Archie was still very tired from the previous night. The sleep was disturbed when the phone rang. MJ came out with her bedhead hair and in her sleeping-coat. “Voorhees’s Residence.” MJ said in a tired tone. “Hello Pennywise. How’s Aquarius doing?” Archie slowly woke up after hearing his dad’s name. So he got up and walked towards MJ. “Oh, Archie is up now, would you like to speak to him?... Okay, here he is.” MJ said before she passed the phone down to Archie.
“Hi dad, how are you and mom?” Archie asked.
“Just wonderful son, how about you?” Pennywise asked.
“Everything was great, I had a great time.” Archie answered.
“That’s great son, and guess what? You have a baby sister!” Pennywise exclaimed.
Archie was surprised, he made a big grin. “A... baby sister, really? When can I see her?” Archie asked.
“Well, how about after lunch? your mom needed some rest before she can see anybody.” Pennywise suggested.
“Okay dad... I can’t wait to see you and mom, and my little sister. I love you.” Archie said.
“I love you too son, I’ll send your love to your mother, okay?” Pennywise replied.
“Okay dad, I’ll see you later.” Archie responded.
After Archie was done talking to his dad, he turned to MJ. “My mom’s got a baby girl; I’ve got a sister!” Archie exclaimed. MJ peeped with excitement. Which causes Jason to barge out quickly after hearing her peep; thinking that the sound of his wife’s peeps meant that she was in danger. “It’s alright, Jason. I was just excited, because Aquarius’s baby is finally born.” MJ explained. “And I’ve got a sister!” Archie added in. Jason pasted his hands on his cheeks before giving Archie a high-five. Then they heard a little girl voice. “What’s going on?” It was Malon. Archie walked over to her to give her a hug. “My mom had a baby, and it’s a girl!” Archie explained. Malon’s eyes popped wide open in surprise. “That means you have a little sister; just what you’ve wanted!” Malon cheered before she hugged Archie back.
MJ smiled before she hugged her husband. “With news like this, I think I’ll make us some pancakes for breakfast.” MJ suggested. The two kids twirled around with joy, not just for the pancakes, but for the birth of Archie’s new baby sister. What more could a little clown boy ask for?

A Quiet Kind of Love (ONESHOT)
WARNINGS: Angst, fluff
Pairing: Kirishima X Fem!Reader
Word count: 6.2k
Summary: Prom night is here, and you can’t avoid it any longer. You’re going to have to confess to your best friend, a certain red-headed, shark-toothed man. But things don’t quite go as planned...
------------------------------------------
Kirishima stared at himself in the mirror. His reflection stared back at him in a black suit, a deep red shirt and black tie, his hands nervously adjusting it once again. However, he was more focused on the red that dusted across his cheeks and the nervous glimmer that he saw in his own eyes.
Dear God, he hadn’t even left his room and he was already a mess of nerves. His mind kept circling back to a single thought: You would be there.
Granted, everyone would be there. It was prom, after all. Even more importantly, it would be the last major gathering for Class 3A before everyone graduated and moved on to work at different hero agencies. The finality of it almost brought tears to his eyes. It wasn’t that he wouldn’t keep in touch with his friends or continue to hang out after graduation, but no one could deny that life would be very different once their time at UA ended.
Kirishima couldn’t help but wonder if you would keep in touch with him. You were friends, of course, but as of late you’d lost some of that closeness and he wasn’t sure why. He had gotten so used to you being a presence in his life that when you suddenly began to become unavailable, he couldn’t help but wonder if he did something wrong. Sure, you always had a good reason for not being around. You had a huge report you had to write, or an interview to prepare for, or extended family visiting... the list of excuses went on and on. He had racked his brain trying to pinpoint the moment things changed between you two, but came up with nothing, which bothered him even more. All he wanted was to see you smile at him again, to hang out together late into the evening talking about everything and nothing, to send stupid text messages to each other. He felt your absence painfully and began to realize just how much you were a part of his life and how important you really were to him. His days were feeling empty without you.
He didn’t even know if you had a date tonight. The thought festered in his head and an uncharacteristic frown grew on his face. He knew that if you came with a date, that he would leave you alone and not bring up what’d been plaguing his mind the past few weeks. He was a gentleman after all, and he saw no point in chasing you down and cornering you to talk to him if you clearly weren’t interested. If, however, you were by yourself, then he promised himself that he would find a chance to talk to you.
----------------------------
Of course, little did he know, you were getting ready in your own room with thoughts of your own regarding the red-headed man. Contrary to him, however, you know exactly why you had made yourself scarce around him.
To put it quite frankly, you realized that you were in love with him. Not a crush, like what your friend Mina often went through. Not lust, although you couldn’t deny that you were definitely attracted to him. It was love, quiet and sneaky and unassuming. It found a warm place in your heart unbeknownst to you and grew there, fed by friendship, trust, and openness. You were so unaware of its presence that you couldn’t even really say or pinpoint when your feelings for him became love. Instead, it hit you by surprise one day, like finding a beautiful flower in your garden. You were hanging out with Kirishima and the others, everyone laughing and telling jokes (except for Bakugou of course, who hardly participated but never left). Sero was sharing a hilarious story from one of his internships when both you and Kirishima, laughing hysterically, made eye contact.
That was it. You’d looked at each other countless times in countless scenarios. But that time… that time all you could think about was how you didn’t want him to stop looking at you, how you wondered what his lips would feel like on yours.
After that moment, everything changed. Suddenly Kirishima occupied every thought in your waking and sleeping brain. That one moment was like a dam being broken, its turbulent watery torrents sweeping you away. You were remembering everything, every detail of your friendship with him. The way he always treated you with respect, the way he made you laugh, the way he let you cry on his shoulder when you had a bad day. Memory after memory flooded through you, each with new meaning to it. How he had held your hair for you the first time you drank too much. How he had checked on you when you got hurt in a fight. How he carried you back to the dorms, piggyback style, when you had sprained your ankle.
After that, you couldn’t bear to be around him. You began making yourself scarce, creating reasons why you couldn’t hang out with the gang, knowing he’d be there. That alone was difficult, since it required you to distance yourself from everyone, not just him. Kirishima texted you often to check in with you and talked to you during class, but you always did your best to reassure him everything was fine, even as you distanced yourself from him. You could tell it was taking a toll on your friendship, but at the time it seemed better to put a little bit of strain and hope it could bend under the pressure, instead of outright breaking it by confessing.
It wasn’t that you didn’t want to be around him. In fact, it was the opposite: you wanted to be around him too much. You didn’t know how to act around him anymore. You just needed time to get your feelings in check. You were terrified that you would either do something you’d regret, or he’d somehow read your mind and see what you were feeling. Sure, he had a reputation for being a little dense, but when it came to the two of you, there were hardly any secrets. You’d gotten so familiar with each other that you were in tune with each other’s mannerisms. One slip-up is all it would take.
That was what scared you the most. Kirishima was one of your closest friends, and you didn’t want to ruin that by confessing something to him that you were still struggling to understand. With the love, came the fear. The fear of not just rejection but of losing him entirely. So your brain replayed all of the ways that you loved him, all the things he did, and your brain callously took those memories and chalked them up to ‘well, he’s just a really nice guy’ and ‘that didn’t really mean anything, he was just doing what he thought was right.’ And then you felt guilty, as if you were betraying him somehow by taking all of the ways that he had been kind to you and putting them into a romantic context without his permission. Were you, in some strange way, betraying his trust? He had always been so kind and respectful to you because he valued you as a friend. So, shouldn’t you just continue to think of him the same way?
Easier said than done.
In all honesty, you weren’t planning on going to prom. You had a feeling he would be there, and you really couldn’t bear to face him again just yet. But Mina and Tsuyu convinced you to go, and you couldn’t let your friends down. You felt as if you were walking a tight rope across a ravine with no way out, just empty air on either side, and all it would take would be a single gust to make you fall down, down, down… there were no good choices. If you couldn’t get your feelings in check then you’d have to confess. You at least owed him that much. He deserved an explanation if things couldn’t go back to normal.
What if he had a date? The thought made your stomach drop to your toes and a lightheaded nausea swept over you as you braced yourself against your chair in your room. Just imagining it was painful. How could you even face him after that?
You blinked your eyes rapidly in an attempt to fight the wetness without ruining your makeup. There was no point in getting worked up on the what-ifs. Prepare for the worst but hope for the best.
You stared at your reflection one last time, taking in your appearance. How you styled your hair, how you styled your makeup, the dress you wore… black with a red floral design. You had realized too late that you had gravitated towards his color palette, but nothing could be done about it now. You wondered if he’d notice.
-------------------
He noticed. In fact, it was the first thing he noticed when he saw you walk into the large auditorium, music blaring and lights flashing in beat to the music. Kirishima’s breath caught in his throat and he was grateful the poor lighting hid his blush. You arrived with the other girls of course, one big wave of colorful, feminine dresses.
Your eyes found his instantly and you froze. God, he looked good. Then you realized… you matched. Before you could organize your frazzled brain, he walked over with Bakugou, Sero, and Kaminari in tow.
“Hey!” He said with his signature smile, while the others greeted each other.
“H-Hey.” You replied, struggling to keep your voice casual.
“Long time no see.” He said.
“Yeah, sorry about that…” you offered a sheepish half-smile.
“It’s ok. You look nice!” Kirishima offered.
You averted your gaze in embarrassment. “…thanks. You too.” He’s just being nice, you thought.
“We match,” he pointed out teasingly.
Your words caught in your throat at his blatant comment, your mouth open like a fish as his words hit too close to home for you. You weren’t ready for it.
“Yeah. Sorry, I’ll be right back.” You forced out, before bolting away into the crowd, leaving Kirishima dumbfounded.
It wasn’t long before you found what you were looking for: the snack bar. You grabbed a water bottle and downed its contents before immediately grabbing the cup of popcorn and stuffing your face.
Why. Why did you do that?? Just run away from him like that?
You spotted Tsuyu approaching you out of the corner of your eye, and she gave you a knowing look. She was the only one who knew of your predicament, which you were grateful for. She was excellent at keeping a secret and always approached an issue with a level head.
“Are you okay?” She asked.
“No… I’m such an idiot!” you seethed. “why did I run off like that?”
“He did look a little crushed…” She replied.
“Tsuyu!” you scolded. “Not helping!”
“Shouldn’t that be a good thing?” she pointed out. “If he was sad that you left, then that means he wanted you to stick around.”
“Or he was sad because he thinks I hate him or something.” You replied, which didn’t sound much better. In fact, it sounded worse. “Geez, why did I even come to this.”
“Because if you didn’t then you’d regret it.” Tsuyu replied. “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.”
“Well, you also miss 100% of the shots if you scare away your target.”
“Relax.” She soothed. “Just go back and hang out with the group. They won’t think anything of it.”
“I can’t.” you mumbled. “Not yet, anyway. I just… need time to adjust so I don’t say something stupid to him. Or worse, do something stupid. Ugh, Tsuyu, did you see how handsome he was? It’s not fair.”
Tsuyu grinned at your lovestruck expression. “Well, you can come hang out with Uraraka, Tenya, Midoriya and I if you’d like.” Tsuyu offered.
You gave a grateful smile, the tension in your shoulders easing slightly. “Thanks, Tsuyu. Just for a little bit.”
-------------------
Kirishima shifted in his spot next to Bakugou as the two men leaned against the wall together. Mina, Sero and Kaminari has long-since abandoned them for the festivities when their repeated attempts to include them failed. Bakugou, of course, was mostly silent, casting his glare at every pretty girl that tried to ask him for a dance. Kirishima, on the other hand, couldn’t stop fidgeting as his thoughts ran wild.
You never came back.
His eyes spotted you multiple times across the dance floor as you danced with your other friends. You somehow never made eye contact with him, which only told him one thing: you weren’t looking for him. This in turn, led to another discovery: he probably scared you away.
“Dammit, what was I thinking?” he muttered to himself.
Bakugou gave Kirishima a side glance and followed his gaze to see you dancing on the dance floor. “What are you doing here, Shitty Hair?” he grumbled.
“What, me?” Kirishima exclaimed.
Bakugou rolled his eyes. “No, the other Shitty Hair.”
Kirishima let Bakugou’s sarcasm slide over him. He gave a heavy sigh and hung his head, his brows furrowed together. “Watching my nonexistent love life go down the toilet.”
Bakugou’s face twitched in anger. “What kind of bullshit answer is that?!”
“What??”
“Aren’t you all about being ‘manly’?” Bakugou scolded. “How is giving up ‘manly’?”
“I’m not going to force myself on her.” Kirishima responded. “She practically ran away, you saw it earlier. I think it’s pretty obvious she’s not interested.”
“So fucking what!” Bakugou exclaimed. “If you don’t put yourself out there, then you’re just another extra. You don’t have to be a dick about it, but you can still talk to her. You won’t know for sure unless you do. Besides, if she rejects you, then it’s her fucking loss.”
Kirishima stared at him wide-eyed. “Wow, bro… that was… actually really nice of you.”
Bakugou scoffed and looked away. “Shut up. If you don’t go talk to her then I will.” He sneered.
Kirishima’s eyes widened. “No… that’s a terrible idea.”
“You’re damn right it is.” Bakugou grumbled. “So get the fuck off this wall and go be manly or whatever.”
Kirishima grinned at Bakugou’s pep-talk. He wasn’t going to deny that it stirred something in him. Kirishima prepared himself, squaring his shoulders, and setting his jaw before marching out onto the dance floor.
Of course, he only made it about halfway when he saw something that made him falter.
His ragtag friends managed to find you in the throng of people, led by Mina who waved you down. He watched as everyone exchanged greetings. When Kaminari greeted you with smiles and laughs, you smiled back at him and gave him a hug, your face lighting up in a way that stirred something in Kirishima. It stabbed him in his gut and twisted, making him feel nauseous and… angry?
Jealous. He was jealous. He wanted you to look at him like that. You used to look at him like that, like you were happy to have him around. You used to hug him when you greeted him, your arms wrapping around him in a playful squeeze. He missed it. He missed all of it, and there you were giving it freely to everyone else but him. You looked happy without him and the realization twisted like a knife.
-------------------
When the squad first approached, your heart leapt into your throat as your eyes immediately scanned for the familiar spikey red hair. You didn’t see him though, or Bakugou for that matter. A confusing wave of relief and longing washed over you. You wanted to ask where he was, but you weren’t ready yet. You still didn’t know what you were going to say to him.
“So this is where you ran off to!” Mina exclaimed, as everyone exchanged hugs.
“What, are we not good enough for you?” Kaminari teased.
“Don’t be ridiculous!” You scoffed, punching his arm playfully and he grinned.
“It was my fault.” Tsuyu chimed in. “We got caught up talking at the snack bar then ended up hanging out over here with everyone.” The rest of the group behind her smiled and nodded in agreement.
“The snack bar, huh?” Sero teased.
You offered a sheepish smile. “Sorry, I skipped lunch and you know how I am about free food…”
“It’s cool. Why don’t we all hang together then?” Sero offered.
“Where’s Kacchan?” Midoriya asked.
Kaminari shrugged. “Being a wallflower as usual. Kirishima is keeping him company.”
Your eyes immediately scanned for him along the periphery, but from your position you couldn’t see much beyond the dancing people and flashing colors.
“Someone should probably rescue him…” Mina said pointedly as she locked eyes with you, and you knew immediately she wasn’t talking about Bakugou.
Your mouth went dry. She knew. Somehow, she figured it out. Well, maybe it wasn’t that hard to figure out, especially with her penchant for romance and your friendship with her. Still, the sudden discovery froze you like a deer in headlights. You loved Mina, but you had chosen not to tell her because she was also close friends with Kiri. She was a great friend and always meant well but you didn’t want her to try to play matchmaker before you were ready. You struggled to hide the guilty look on your face while she gave you a teasing grin and the slightest raise of an eyebrow.
Kaminari chimed in before you could speak. “Eh, I’m sure they’re fine. Besides, we tried, didn’t we? They both kept turning us down.”
“Maybe we can try again in a little bit.” You added, giving Mina a look of your own.
Soon. You were going to do it. But first you wanted to hang out with friends for a little bit longer, just in case things turned sour later. It’d been a while since you’d really hung out with everyone all at once. Besides, Kiri was such a social butterfly that you figured he’d show up soon anyway. Maybe that would be your cue to ask to talk privately. All you had to do was wait.
------------------
Kirishima froze in his tracks, unsure of what to do. He clenched his fists at his sides. This was stupid. How unmanly of him being jealous of your friendship with Kaminari. He reminded himself that there was nothing to worry about, and that it was all just a misunderstanding that had to be cleared up. You’d always been able to resolve any issues in the past, so why should this be any different?
He began to move forward when a slow song suddenly came on. He watched as Kaminari offered you his hand with an exaggerated flourish while Mina paired up with Sero. In utter mortification, Kirishima watched as you laughed and took it, allowing him to pull you into a slow dance with your proximity far too close for Kirishima’s taste. You continued to smile and laugh, and the crack in Kirishima’s armor fractured.
Like a wave of destruction, his insecurities and fears came crashing down on him. It felt like he was in middle school again, paralyzed and useless. Was he wrong? Did he miss something? He never noticed anything between you and Kaminari before. You’d never said anything to him about it, never even hinted at it. Sure, you and Kaminari joked around a lot, but it never seemed like anything else.
All this time, the past few months you’d been drifting away, he thought it had to do with him, that it was something he’d unintentionally broken that he’d be able to fix if he could just get a chance to talk to you. He had so much he wanted to say.
Instead, a worse realization came to the forefront of his mind: What if this had nothing to do with him? What if he was losing you and it was beyond his control? Was this how friendships drifted apart? Did he already lose you?
He wanted to disappear, to let the earth swallow him whole. He could feel hot tears brimming his eyes. He tried to will them away, but he couldn’t. Instead, his feet carried him swiftly off the dance floor and out the double doors.
----------------
Bakugou saw the whole thing from his perch and swore. “Fuck.”
He stomped his way through the throng of people, not caring who he bumped shoulders with, earning a few glares until his peers realized who he was.
“What a bunch of fucking morons.” He grumbled.
He reached you and Kaminari and without a word he grabbed Kaminari by the ear and began dragging him away.
“Hey, what the hell man?!” Kaminari shouted.
You stood there dumbfounded before you furrowed your brow in anger. “Bakugou, knock it off!” You yelled. The space around your group was swiftly opening up as others distances themselves from the drama unfolding.
Bakugou pointed an accusing finger at you. “Shut up.” He demanded, his face scrunched up in anger.
You stood there dumbfounded. It wasn’t the first time Bakugou spoke to you roughly, but this time was different. There was no underlying teasing to bring warmth to his harsh words. Instead, the words were like an icy whiplash. He meant them, and he was pissed.
He turned to Kaminari. “And you! Are you really that fucking dense, dunce face??”
“Dude, what are you talking about??” Kaminari demanded, confusion written all over his face. “Bro, are you jealous?”
Bakugou’s face turned red with anger and his hands started to smoke. The gap between the group and the other students grew wider. A single thought occupied the forefront of your brain – where was Kirishima? He was always the best at calming Bakugou’s temper.
“You think I’m jealous??” Bakugou spat.
Sero chimed in to try to mitigate. “It was just a dance, Bakugou!”
“Tell that to Kirishima, you idiot!” Bakugou snapped.
You suddenly felt lightheaded and your legs turned to jelly. Realization began to dawn on you.
“W-what…?” You stuttered, and suddenly you could feel all eyes on you. But it didn’t matter because you only wanted to know one thing. “Where is Kirishima??”
Bakugou scrutinized you with his glare. “He fucking left.” Your breath caught in your throat and your heart pounded in your chest painfully as Bakugou continued. “He was coming over to talk to you but left when it looked like you two were hooking up!”
“What?!” Kaminari exclaimed. “We weren’t hooking up! No offense, Y/N.”
You put your face in your hands. “No! No, no, no. This is all wrong. I was going to talk to him, I just didn’t know how, I… I…” tears started to spill down your cheeks.
‘He cares. He cares, and I just completely hurt him!’ Your thoughts echoed on repeat in your mind. You could feel the panic boiling inside you, sucking away your breaths. You began gasping for air, the auditorium suddenly feeling far too small and too hot.
Suddenly, you felt Mina’s comforting hand on your shoulder blade, grounding you.
“It’s okay.” She said softly. “There’s still time. We can find him.”
You nodded and wiped your tears with the napkin that Uraraka handed to you.
Immediately the hunt began. More than half of class 3A exited through the double doors to begin searching the building for Kirishima. Everyone split off into groups, with you being followed by Mina and Tsuyu. Bakugou teamed up with Sero and Kaminari, and Tenya, Uraraka and Midoriya formed their own search party.
As you and your two friends searched, Mina began her round of twenty questions.
“So, how long?” she asked.
“What?” you replied, distractedly as you checked the empty cafeteria.
“How long have you been in love with Kirishima?”
Your brow furrowed. “I don’t know… a while? Since the beginning of the semester was when I realized it, but maybe it was sooner than that.”
“And that’s why you stopped coming around as much?”
“Yeah. I’m sorry, I just… didn’t want to ruin my friendships with everyone. Especially him.” You felt the familiar lump form in your throat again. “Looks like I might be too late, though.”
“You should give him more credit than that.” Mina reassured. “He’s one of the most loyal and forgiving people I know.”
You clenched your jaw as your pace quickened. You only hoped that she was right.
Everyone searched high and low. The classrooms, the rooftops, the training fields… Kirishima was nowhere to be found.
An hour had passed with no success before everyone reconvened outside the auditorium, the music inside still loud, the hum of thousands of voices inside chattering and laughing. It felt almost cruel hearing everyone else having such a good time, completely oblivious of the catastrophe unfolding before your eyes. How could you have fucked this up so badly?
“Maybe he came back and he’s inside looking for you.” Tsuyu offered.
“He’s not in there, I checked.” Bakugou replied.
“So… do we keep looking?” Sero asked.
“He’s not responding to his text messages.” Bakugou said. “If he doesn’t want to be found, then we should leave him alone.”
You felt the defeat heavy on your shoulders. “It’s okay. You all should go back to the dance and enjoy it. You shouldn’t waste your night trying to fix my mess.”
“We wanted to help.” Midoriya replied, offering a kind smile.
“Thanks, I appreciate it. But this night isn’t just about me, so you guys go have fun. I’m… I’m gonna go back to the dorms.” You replied as you felt fresh tears filling your eyes again. The lump in your throat felt like you were trying to swallow a rock. You needed to get out of here, to go home and be by yourself so you could break down completely.
“There’s always tomorrow.” Kaminari offered, but his words, while meant to be helpful, only left you feeling hollow.
“Y-yeah.” You replied. “Have a good night, everyone.” Before the tears spilled over, you began your solitary trek back to the dorms, your shoes in your hands. Your feet were killing you now from all of the running around you had done, and you had fresh blisters on your heels.
Or, the trek was supposed to be alone. It didn’t take long to realize that Bakugou was following you. You paused and turned to him, a confused expression on your face.
“Aren’t you going to stay?”
Bakugou scoffed. “Hell, no.” he replied. “I hate shit like this.”
You weren’t so convinced. Maybe he was planning on following you back to see if Kirishima was at the dorms.
“You’re a good friend.” You commented as you began walking again.
“Hah??” he replied. He frowned and looked away as a blush creeped across his cheeks. He put his hands in his pockets and hunched his shoulders. “Don’t try to get on my good side.”
“I’m not!” you protested. “I’m just glad that Kirishima has someone like you he can count on.”
You walked in silence for a bit, guilt gnawing at you before you spoke up again. “I’m sorry I messed everything up.”
“You people make shit too complicated.” Bakugou grumbled. “You just gotta say what you mean.”
“I wish I had your confidence. You make it sound so easy.” You replied.
“It’s not easy.” Bakugou said as he stared straight ahead. You waited for him to say more, but he never did. Instead, the two of you fell into a somewhat comfortable silence as you approached the dorms.
It didn’t take long to recognize the figure sitting on the front steps of the building, and you faltered in your steps, your breath hitching in your throat. He was here. This whole time, he was right here. You had thought he might come here, but you had assumed he would have gone inside to his room… you didn’t expect to see him. He sat with his knees drawn up, propping up his arms that held his head tucked into them. Kirishima lifted his head when he heard Bakugou’s footfalls and froze when his eyes met yours. It was hard to read his expression from this distance in the middle of the night. But even from here you could see how handsome he was; the broadness of his muscled shoulders straining against his suit blazer; his tie undone and hanging loosely around his neck; his collarbone peeking out from the undone top button of his shirt. It felt like electricity was coursing through your veins. Just the sight of him was enough to give you life.
“Don’t fuck this up.” Bakugou said quietly to you and continued walking, ignoring the fact that you were no longer following him.
As he passed Kirishima, he placed a hand on his shoulder briefly, giving it a squeeze. Kirishima gave him a confused look as Bakugou went into the dorms, closing the door behind him.
You paused for a moment, feeling the pull of the man in front of you, like two magnets being held apart. It was painful. You forced your legs forward until you were close enough that you could read his expression. His eyes were downcast again onto the ground, but you could see the hurt in them.
Kirishima spoke first, his voice low and strained. “Did… did I do something wrong? Did I hurt you in some way and not know it?” he asked. He finally looked up, his eyes meeting yours and you gasped. His eyes were slightly red, and his cheeks shined under the entryway lights. He had been crying. You made Kirishima cry.
You dropped your shoes and rushed forward, closing the distance between you two. You put your hands on his forearms that rested on his knees. “No! God, no. Kiri, I’m so sorry.” You replied, tears spilling down your own cheeks.
“Then why?” he asked, straightening his back and drawing his arms away from your touch. “You’ve stopped talking to me, you don’t really smile at me… you barely even look at me.”
“I… I realized something about myself and I didn’t know how to handle it.” You replied, drawing your hands back from his rejection and wrapping your arms around your core protectively.
Kirishima stood up and looked down at you from his perch on the steps. “What did you realize?” The deepness of his voice, the way it reverberated through the space between you made goosebumps crawl across your skin.
You stared at his face, drinking in the details. The color of his eyes, the curve of his jaw, the sharpness of his teeth… it’d been a long time since you’d been this close to him and it felt like basking in warm sunlight on a spring day after a long, dark winter. Your eyes traced over his features before finally landing on his wet cheeks. Instinctively, you brought a hand up and rubbed your thumb across his cheek, smearing the moisture away. His own hand, larger than yours, warm and calloused, came up and covered yours.
You averted your eyes down to his chest in embarrassment. You didn’t know why you were still nervous. Perhaps it was the finality of it, of saying it out loud.
Your hand followed your eyes, slipping from his fingers to rest on his chest. You were strangely aware of the soft texture of his shirt, and you absently fiddled with his loose tie. “I love you.” You finally said, just barely above a whisper. “I have for a while.”
“You do?” he replied, his voice laced with surprise. “But what about Kaminari?”
“What??”
“Earlier. I dunno, it just looked…” You watched as he looked away, a blush across his cheeks.
“Like we were dancing?” you replied.
“Yeah, well… you looked happy. Happier than I’d seen you in a long time.” He confessed.
“I was happy to spend time with my friends, and Kaminari is a funny guy. But I don’t have feelings for him.” You explained. “I’m sorry. I didn’t realize how it must have looked. Honestly, I didn’t even know you were paying attention.”
“Why wouldn’t I pay attention?”
“Well, I figured you might, I don’t know… hate me or something.” You wiggled your bare toes as you looked down at them.
“What??” Kirishima sounded angry now, and you whipped your gaze up to look at him. “Why would you think I hate you? You stopped talking to me!”
“I know!” your voice raising to meet his. “So, I’d understand if you’d hate me! I’ve handled this whole thing like crap, and I’m so sorry. You deserve better.”
“Why didn’t you tell me sooner?” his voice softened, which you were grateful for. You could tell he didn’t want to fight, and neither did you.
“I was afraid. You’re my best friend and if you didn’t feel the same, well… I was afraid of losing you.”
His hand once again grabbed your fidgeting one, his touch soft and gentle. “I could never hate you.”
Deep down, you knew he was right. The man didn’t have a hateful bone in his body. “I know.” You breathed, your eyes downcast again.
“And you won’t lose me.” He said. Your eyes met his again, and you were captivated as you watched the next words fall from his lips, “I love you too.”
And just like that, time moved forward again and air was filling your lungs. Your first real smile in months spread across your face.
“Does this mean I can kiss you now?” You joked.
Kirishima chuckled and placed his free hand on your jawline, cradling you as his thumb softly stroked your cheek. He dipped his head down, his lips capturing yours in their warmth.
Your mind went blank, washed away in the sensation of Kirishima. He was everywhere. His arm held you flush against him, his mouth molded with yours, his hand on your neck. You could smell his scent from his clean shirt to his shampoo to something that was so distinctly him. You could taste him on your lips. It took every ounce of strength not to collapse right then and there. This was it. This was all you ever wanted, all you ever thought about. It was everything you hoped it would be and more. You couldn’t stop the sappy smile and the bubble of laughter that came from your core, breaking the kiss.
Kirishima smiled down at you, full and bright. He still held you in his arms. “That was awesome.” He breathed.
“We should do it again.” You grinned.
But before you could lean in for a second round, you heard familiar voices behind you.
“Ho Ho! It looks like everything worked out after all!” Sero teased.
“I knew it would!” Mina chimed in. “Love always wins!”
Kaminari rushed to Kirishima. “Bro! I am so sorry! I had no idea!”
“Dude, it’s cool.” Kirishima laughed.
“Nah, you were supposed to dance with her! I ruined your prom! I’m so sorry!” Kaminari cried.
“Get a grip, man…” Sero chided, as Mina started to drag Kaminari away.
“We got him…” she reassured. “He’ll be fine.”
You chuckled with amusement as you watched your friends drag the blonde man through the dormitory door, his cries silenced as the door closed. Your smile faltered.
“He’s right…” you said quietly.
Kirishima gave you a curious look. “Who?”
“Kaminari. We did miss our prom. We wouldn’t have missed it if I didn’t mess everything up. I’m sorry.” You replied.
He continued, “I don’t really think tonight was ruined, do you?”
You scratched at your cheek. “Well, I was hoping to at least get a dance in with you…”
Kirishima laughed. “I’m terrible at dancing, you know that.”
You smiled. “It wouldn’t have mattered to me… anyway, a slow dance isn’t so bad, right?”
“A slow dance, huh? You want a slow dance?” a mischievous grin showed off his sharp teeth and he pulled you into his arms, one arm wrapped around your waist and the other holding your hand out in his.
“Kirishima, what’re you…?”
Suddenly, he began to sing. It was a song you didn’t know and to be honest, he was a terrible singer. But as he sang, his voice heavy with vibrato, he swayed the two of you back and forth, each dance move exaggerated until he was spinning you and dipping you. Laughter bubbled up, starting low in your gut and spilling out of your mouth, filling the night with your sound. Kirishima grinned, loving it, loving the look of you here and happy with him, dancing barefoot to his terrible singing.
And when that was done, the two of you entered the main entrance of the dorms, with your shoes in Kirishima’s hand while his other hand held yours. You both were still riding the high of all that had happened, and you both knew that sleep was an impossibility despite the late hour. So instead, the two of you cuddled up on the couch in the common room, talking late into the early morning about anything and everything. All the things you had missed with each other when you were apart, all the ways you realized you loved each other, and how things would progress now that your futures were joined together. As you both quieted down into each other’s arms, basking in the presence of each other, drowsiness fell over both of you like a blanket, warm and safe, until you both fell asleep in each other’s arms.
