My opinion on the stepdad avatar content… tw: stepdad x stepdaughter and all that shit.

I feel like the idea of the stepdad falls in love with the ADULT stepdaughter that the mom had before they met, sounds decent. Not that I like it but I don’t hate it. I don’t mind reading it if it has a spicy drama like Tonowari and Your mom get married and you (+18 reader) come back from college and he had never met you so he cheats on your mom or something like that. But there is a line I won’t cross.

But please don’t treat it like an abuse relationship because some of them sound rapey af. I thankfully haven’t passed that though my life (basically because I don’t have a stepdad), but some people have. SA is not a joke or something to romanticize. And if it triggers and disgusts me (the kinkiest gremlin around) it might trigger others. I know that is what the warnings stand for and everything, but just try to not make it a horror story instead of a smut.

Also, isn’t it a bit weird that you feel the need of writing stepdad! Jake/Tonowari/Quaritch almost forcing reader or with reader barely giving consent while in the same fic they treat her like a child. I just feel something off with that. Not to kink shame or anything (because I have some things of my own that would be enough to shame my whole bloodline tbh) but just try to keep an eye on what are our kinks, bdsm fetishes and everything.

Keeping an eye on them helps us know where they come from and practice them in a safe way with a consenting partner or partners. Remember that no matter how extreme it is there must be aftercare (even in vanilla), it must be a safe space and moment for you and your partner(s) and it must be between two (or more) fully consenting adults.
