My entire thesis uses MLA style citations, right?
Well, my thesis advisor that I complained about before told me all my in-text citations were wrong and need to be in (Author, year: page #) format. That's kind of like APA but it's not. APA is (Last name, year, p. #)
But she also said to leave my bibliography the way it is because it's perfect. That's in MLA format.
She's literally telling me to mix styles within the same paper. And I don't know what style even uses (Author, year: page #)
I am flabbergasted. I have literally sent her pictures of the MLA handbook and link to Purdue OWL to show her that my MLA in-text citations are not wrong.
(this is the UNIVERSITY OF BARCELONA by the way...)
#confuzzled#puzzled#confused#i'm tired of fighting this#during my thesis defense they better not critique my citations#if they do i have it well-documented that i tried to educate my advisor on this#why oh why would i need to tell a university professor what MLA style is
