you sigh in mock annoyance, reaching your clean fingers to adjust the frog headband sitting on his hairline.

“do you do this everyday?” he tilts his head, squinting his eyes when you continue rubbing the product on his cheeks.

you hum in agreement, “its a way of taking care of your skin. you know, getting it to clear up.”

“my skin’s just fine. i just wash it with soap and not this — ‘hydrating cleanser’ stuff,” he rolls his eyes, using his fingers to air quote.

“how the hell do you have such nice skin when you wash it with hand soap?” you deadpan.

“genetics? i don’t really know,” he shrugs, wrapping his arms around your waist and leaning into your gentle touch.

you hum. “ok, go wash this off,” you trail off, turning your back and grabbing the masks and serums. “so we can start with these!” you beam.

his eyebrow twitches.

“what’s that for?” he cocks a brow, pointing at the small package on your lap. “you’ll see in a sec,” you smile, tearing it open.

walking over, you adjust his cute sanrio headband again before gently placing the face mask on his face. he shivers but before he could open his mouth to complain or make some sassy quip, you slap a lip mask on his face.

that was 30 minutes ago.

now you’re stuck on the floor with a sleepy man twice your size, quite literally squeezing the life out of you.

“babe, we were supposed to take the masks off like 10 minutes ago,” you sighed, patting his head. you hear him grumble, mumbling incoherently.

“i’ll do it then, stay still,” you smiled softly, reaching for your mask and then his masks. “tilt your head back a bit.” he complies and you reach for the serum bottles.

applying a small drop of serum on his forehead and cheeks, you take notice of how his eyebrows furrow slightly at the cold liquid.

“it’s a lil cold,” you chuckle, kissing his forehead before spreading the serum all over his face.

he hums sleepily, voice breaking softly as his eyes flutter close.

it’s quiet for a while, before..

SLAP!

“oww!” he yelps, eyes flying open as he sits up hastily. “why are you slapping me?” he manages to get out in between slaps. you hum, “it helps your skin to absorb the product better.”

he side eyes you.

you hear him groan. ignoring it, you continue with your skincare routine. “ugh!” he groans, way louder and more exaggerated. you feel your eyebrow twitch.

by the time you chose to stop ignoring his whining, he’d already kicked the blankets off the bed.

“what do you want? i already finished your skincare so just go to bed,” you sigh, reaching for your eye cream.

“yea but when are you gonna finish?” he asks softly. ‘i can’t sleep without you.’

you smile at him through the vanity mirror.

“baby, just one more thing alright?” the sleeping mask you reach for clatters on the table softly. “five more minutes. can you wait for me, hon?”

he hums tiredly, standing up and making his way behind you.

he kneels down, wrapping his arms gently but securely around your waist and rests his head on your back. “hurry up, w’na hold you so bad.”

your heart flutters and your movements stutter. you gulp, patting the product into your pink cheeks.

you both slept horribly that night since he fell asleep holding you and you couldn’t drag his heavy ass to bed.

— Korosensei has a lot of spare time on his hands tentacles. He can complete tasks that would take a regular person hours in a matter of seconds.

Which is why he often shoves his nose in other people’s business. He needs some way to keep himself entertained!

Unfortunately for him no matter how much he tries to set his students up together, none of them seem to make a move on their own accord!

Korosensei is 90% of the reason you and Karma are together.

You were too nervous to be honest about your feelings, confessing was out of the question.

Karma, he considered asking you out a few times but being inexperienced with romance (or any sort of affection ranging from friendships to his family life) , he didn’t know how to go about springing his emotions on you.

He planned it out himself a few times; ‘What am I supposed to do after I confess? High-five? Maybe a hug, nah I’m not a hug person.’

Karmas love language is mentally draining the people he likes, which is why he’s not the type to prepare huge romantic gestures all on his own.

He prefers pissing you off until you want to punch him. (He thinks it’s funny when you miss.)

Or getting his ears pulled when he’s saying something stupid and you’re trying to shut him up.

Korosensei knows you two won’t get anywhere without a push, he’s very observant with his students, he decided he could give you two the encouragement you needed.

Honestly what better self appointed wing man is there? Korosensei can pretty much make anything happen with his abilities! He does everything behind you and Karmas backs. He gets the students and his colleagues involved at times.

Karasuma has spoken against it, might’ve said something along the lines of “Stop poking your head into your students private lives.” But what would he know? Romance has to be pursued! Everyone knows if you can’t follow your heart Korosensei will follow it for you.

He can make the most random, insignificant moments about you two.

“Korosensei, do you have an eraser you could let me have?”

“Unfortunately I’m all out [Name]. Karma has plenty erasers you should ask him!”

Karma looks confused, his only eraser got stolen by Terasaka around 20 minutes ago when he asked to borrow it and never gave it back.

“I don’t? Terasaka has mine.”

“Nufufufu… check again!”

Within a second after you asked, Korosensei flew around the class and replaced everything in Karmas backpack with erasers.

Karma opens his backpack and erasers are the only thing in his backpack, he chucks a few at his teacher before giving you one.

Korosensei finds a way to preform extravagant romantic gestures on Karmas behalf.

That wouldn’t be so bad if Korosensei wasn’t so extra.

With his powers, he struggles not to get carried away with all the cool stunts he can pull!

Cue to him finding a way to write your names together in the sky (Like a sky writer) WITHOUT the airplane. Because he could probably find a way to do it himself. He’s faster than a plane and has nicer writing anyway.

As a teacher he can’t afford to hire [your Favorite music artist] to serenade you two. (Mostly because he’s horrible at budgeting and partly because Karma steals from him once in a while.) Any normal person would give up and maybe rent a boombox.

Korosensei doesn’t give in that easily, which is why he dressed up as the lead singer.

(imagine like his Karasuma Costume sort of situation) He had the rest of E class involved in the production.

There’d be food catering and everything. The catering is Isogai who’s perfect for the job as he has experience and Maehara who keeps eating from the plates. (He gets fired and replaced with Meg.)

You and Karma both are pretty used to it at this point so it’s turned into something you poke fun at together. Free food is free food.

The most ironic thing is, Korosensei had nothing to do with the day you both started dating.

It was during the island trip when the guys were talking about the girls they like, when asked Karma said that he’d have to go with Okuda because she’s good at chemistry and she’d be helpful with his pranks.

You overheard as you were walking past the room, it made your heart ache. The following days he’d gotten the impression you were mad at him, but couldn’t figure out what he did to upset you. You distanced yourself out of hurt, feeling like he’d been leading you on this entire time. Eventually he pried it out of you (he’s annoyingly persistent not to mention really good at convincing you to go along with whatever he wants.) In this conversation he admits, he wasn’t being serious with his answer towards the guys, that she makes a good friend but he doesn’t like Okuda in that way. He tells you he can make it up to you if you agree to go out with him. Once you agree he goes in for an high-five like he had planned earlier, but you go in for a hug instead. He reciprocates after the initial surprise wears off. Maybe he is a hug person.

“Say, hasn’t Yuuma been disappearing off lately?” Nakamura questioned, watching as even before the bell had finished ringing, the boy had already packed his things and left the classroom 

“He’s rushing off to his part-time job, isn’t he?” Mimura piped up, glancing at the girl as he, too, began picking up his belongings 

“That can’t be, though; he only works on the weekends,” Nakamura replied as she leaned her cheek on her open palm 

“Maybe he took up a weekday shift?” Kataoka reasoned as she approached the two

“What if he’s hiding a girlfriend from us!” the blond exclaims, a mischievous grin growing on her face. 

“Nakamura-san….” Nagisa started letting out a nervous laugh at her words

“No, No, Nakamura-san is right,” a voice drawled behind the growing group as they made space for the red-headed devil.

“We should find out what our dear Class representative is up to; he could be in trouble after all,” Karma smirked. 

“You just want to get blackmail on him, Karma-kun….” Nagisa sighed, a sweatdrop dropping on his face as the red-head just confirmed his words without shame

“What if he’s having love trouble! As his classmates, we must have his back!” Kaede exclaimed, pumping her fist in determination, much to Nagisa’s chagrin

“Or perhaps he is heading off to perform a sacrifice,” A dark voice whispered behind Nagisa, causing the poor boy to jump in fright at the dark aura that surrounded the girl behind him as she spoke

“Stop!” Nagisa cried, watching as Hazama simply let out a chuckle and let the group be

“We should not meddle in his life, but I do think we should check up on him, just to make sure he is alright,” Kataoka agreed. 

“Not you too Kataoka-san!” Nagjsa cried 

“We are just worried about our kind class representative Nagisa! Don’t you want to make sure he is alright, too?” she called, putting an arm around the male’s shoulders, a wide grin on her face 

“Well, yes, b-

“Great! Then let’s go!” 

‘Why am I being dragged along…’ he wondered a defeated look on his face as the group set off, following after Yuuma down the lone trek off the little cabin and into a familiar building.

“The main campus library?” Kataoka wondered, watching the Ikeman make his way inside 

“The perfect place for a secret date!” Kaede exclaimed with starry eyes

“Look! I can see him! He’s going into the private study rooms.” Nakamura said as she pointed to one of the windows

“I wonder how he managed to make a reservation; the main Campus gave us hell just to make that reservation for the common space,” Karma drawled lazily. 

“It is a date!” Kaede gaped, watching as the boy entered the small room and greeted a student on the inside as they both took a seat 

“It looks like he’s tutoring them…” Nagisa corrected, watching as the both of them pulled out their notebooks, with Isogai taking the lead as he gave what seemed various pointers to the student 

“Hey, look, isn’t that…?” Nakamura started, her voice cutting off as she realized that two small figures ran to greet the boy once the pair had sat down

“It’s his little siblings,” Kataoka confirmed, easily recognizing the antennae on the children’s heads. 

“Hey… you don’t think he’s being forced to do this, do you?” Kaede gaped

“Unfortunately, we know that is not out of the question, nor would it be the first one,” Kataoka muttered, remembering her own situation.

“It is a main campus student; I wouldn’t put it past them to bring his family into it,” Nakamura added, a frown on her face.

“Kidnapping?!” Kaede exclaimed, horrified as he put a hand over her mouth to hide her gaping mouth

“I don’t think it’s that!” Nagisa cried

“We could teach them a lesson,”  Karma spoke up as he lifted his ‘torture’ items. 

“Or we can talk to him!” Nagisa yelled

And so they did. The very next day, it seemed that Isogai did not have any ‘tutoring’ as the boy lingered in the classroom to fulfill his turn in cleaning the classroom after classes were dismissed, allowing the small group to approach the ikeman without any meddling ears around.

Although confused at first, the class representative sighed, knowing that there was no hiding the secret anymore once the group had opened the can of worms. Though he assured them that his siblings were, in fact, safe and sound and denying the chaotic scene the small greenhead had thought in her head, he left it at that, saying that it was easier to show them than it was to tell them. So off they went until they arrived at the Isogai household. He opened the door to reveal the student sitting on the floor with his siblings from the previous day, seemingly playing a leisurely round of Go Fish with them. 

“Ah, Welcome back, Yuuma-sa…n?” they started pausing as they took notice of the group behind them.

“Good afternoon, Dokucha-san,” Yuuma greeted with a sheepish smile, allowing his friends into the house.

“I brought some of my classmates, they thought something was wrong, so they got worried; this is Dokucha. As you know, I tutor them after school,” he explained. 

“Oh! Hi there! I’m Dokucha! I am a student in Class A, but due to some circumstances, I do most of my classes remotely, so I’m not around campus much, which is probably why we haven’t stumbled with each other!” they greeted as they gave the group a slight bow.

“Ah, Dokucha-San, they aren’t around the main building either, so I’m not sure you would stumble upon them even if you were on the campus,” Isogai explained as he switched his shoes, encouraging his classmates to do the same.

“I see! Well, it’s a pleasure to meet you regardless!” they chirped with a smile, only to frown at the suspicious stares the group sent their way.

“Is something wrong?”

“Ah, guys, it’s not what you think,” Yuuma called nervously as he scratched the back of his head; noticing the growing suspicion growing on the group and Dokucha’s confused demeanor, he was quick to continue.

“Dokucha-san, these are my classmates from Class E.” 

At the information, Dokucha brought down a closed fist in their opened hand in realization

“I see, so you think I’m a bitch!” she casually stated 

“….huh?!”

“Pretty much,” Karma easily replied, shrugging his shoulders at his classmate’s stares.

“Karma-kun!”

“It’s okay!” they called, waving him off.

“Yuuma-san told me about how the other classes treat you, so I can see why you would assume that I have ill intentions as well, but I  don’t agree with them; I think they are being bigoted assholes which is why I didn’t bother contacting any of them for help with my classes, and well I don’t have money to hire a tutor either.”

“So why Yuuma? Are you using him?” Nakamura questioned with an accusive glare

“Nakamura-san, I told you it’s not like that!” isogai scolded her.

“O-of course not!” they exclaimed

“I met Yuuma when we were on a thrift shop when he was with his siblings; we began talking and realized we went to the same school. I had commented how I was struggling with school, and he told me about his troubles at home, and well… we more or less hired each other and paid each other with services since neither of us can afford them.”

“I give tutoring lessons to Dokucha-san, and they take care of my siblings when they can’t go to school and mom when her sickness spikes up,” Isogai finished. 

“So that’s how you got access to the private study room…” Karma mused 

“I’m sorry! I thought you were using Isogai!” Kaede wailed as she ran to the student and bowed, ignoring the letter’s assurances that it was okay

“Who would have thought?! There are still decent people in the main building!” Nakamura explained with a grin 

“It’s a pleasure to meet you as well, Dokucha-san. I’m Kataoka Megu, the female representative from Class E. If you ever need help with a class, don’t be afraid to ask,” 

“Y-yes! Thank you very much Kataoka-san!”

‘I’m glad we were wrong,’ Nagisa thought with a smile as he watched his classmates interact with the student.

Also i wanted to know your thoughts on my understanding of this scene

Souichi after Morinaga calls their relationship one of fuck buddies gets so angry he cuts their deal and says “withdraw from school i dont care”, even though like 3 chapters ago he was crying for him to not leave. That always kind of confused me a little until i re read it today.

But after saying that he doesn’t care if he leaves he IMMEDIATELY comes back and orders him to go get him coffee and “be quick to come back” And i think its genius show of his character because when other characters (quite often i might add) refer to senpai as a “shy person” is always reacted upon like “souichi shy?? In what world?”

But i think this is what they mean, he is being shy about actually caring that Morinaga won’t genuinely leave but acts like the tyrant to cover for it. A true kind and caring tsundere.

Also further proof

Even tho he “supposedly” just cared about his coffee and not the guy getting it, he goes OUT of his way to look for Morinaga and ask his friends where he is even tho he hates people. If you just wanted your coffee then why are you so worried about the location of the guy “you don’t care if he withdraws from school”souichi? I know what you are.

All this to say, this mangaka is a genius and Souichi cares about his boyfriend so much. Gay

This part is basically Souichi calling Morinaga's bluff. He knows the "blackmail" isn't real and Morinaga won't actually leave if he calls it off. Morinaga calls him on it in volume 3 with Isogai.

But yeah I agree with your interpretation of him coming back and demanding coffee from him being him saying he knows he's not going to leave lol

Schism Arc Thoughts (mostly of Karma and Nakamura)

these are mostly just random thoughts I had while looking through the manga cause I wanted screenshots of karma💀💀

I think it was obv from the start that despite it being divided to nagisa's team and karma's team, nagisa never led his team, it was isogai who did,, so the entire arc mostly focused on karma's thoughts bcs he was the one thinking everything through while nagisa worked at his own accord and relying on isogai to take charge of the others,, he's basically just a support for them if you really think about it, also bcs this is after the finals, I like how we get to see karma pointing out strengths and weaknesses of his classmates, shows how attentive he is to everyone around him, even small details from hazama's mobility, differences between chiba and hayami's sniping skills and mimura's eye for detail is smth the main series never really pointed out explicitly UNTIL he says it in his monologues

also nakamura talk but love how bestie they are in this arc, like karma's always busy watching the others but nakamura had him figured out all along,, he knew she was observant so he didn't question it, but that also explains why he placed her as the second in command, they mirror each other really well

Asano Gakushu

“Shuu.”

“Yes?”

You gaze at the strawberry blonde, wanting to play with his hair for awhile now. And it's been itching your hands, curious of how soft and fluffy his hair might be.

“Quit staring and spit it out.”

It makes you internally roll your eyes at him, ofcourse there goes his sassy demeanor. Though, you should consider yourself lucky you managed to get to know this school stud.

“Can..I play with your hair?”

He freezes from writing. Possibly doing his homework or studying. This dude's an addict for studying — you wouldn't be surprised if he grew workaholic.

“Leave.”

He spoke. You felt dissapointed but respected his decision. Heading towards the kitchen of his residence to probably snack on something. Anything.

But before you could step away from the living room, you felt a hand squeezing your wrist and snap your head back to see a sight of Asano looking as if he's in distress.

“Are you leaving so soon?”

“Going to grab a snack.”

He felt angry at himself for thinking you'd leave just because he rejected your request. Moreover, why should he care about you!?

“Can you..let go?”

He felt his eyes widen and immediately let go of your wrist before clearing his throat then turning away.

“Make sure you wash your hands before and AFTER eating. You can play with my hair.”

You felt a twinge of happiness rush through you as he agreed.

“I don't want to feel your dirty unhygienic hands on me.”

—His additional sentence might've took away your slight hint of happiness, nevertheless you're not complaining.

Karma Akabane

This wasn't the first time you're playing with his hair, but you felt like trying something out.

As he rest and sitting still on the bench to watch Nagisa and the other's continue playing baseball, you decided to play with his hair. Combing it as if you were grooming it with most care possible.

“Karma,”

“Hm?”

You gaze down at your pockets, but he already figured out what you were implying. He's a know it all after all. What do you expect from this genius?

“Go crazy with it.”

And that's how he ended up having small braids and tiny bows with the color of white to have a little contrast of it from being on his hair.

He's not ashamed, not embarrassed about it. Though, he's most certainly not showing he's proud of it.

He was getting ready for work as school hours ended not too long ago and you were walking with him along with fellow E-class students.

He excused himself in the bathroom and you him in his work uniform once he got outside, combing his hair.

You felt shy to ask him for a favor, but you wanted to help.

“I..can help you with that Yuma.”

“Oh, thank you!”

He accepts it with such an open mind. So you sat him down on one of the nearby chairs as you combed his hair and thought of what to do with his hair. Clip it? Style it? Braid it?

“Hey..Y/N?”

The way he called out your name made you snap back to reality and focused your attention on him.

“Yes?”

“If it's not much to ask..just a simple comb will do.”

You felt internally dissapointed, realizing you offered help to fix his hair but you obliged. You ended up combing his hair as you stroke the strands of his hair.

“Your hair is silky,”

“Ah, you're flattering me!”

You managed to hide the fact you were completely playing with his hair, rolling your finger with his hair with occasional pats before letting go.

notes. hello! this is my first fic on tumblr. i hope you guys like it!

adjusting the mask that concealed your face, you stand before class E.

it was an hour ago when you proposed to karasuma that you be in today's pe class. with you being an assassin, he agreed it would be beneficial for the class to test their skills and see how far they've come. both of you saw eye to eye with this, but it wasn't the main reason why you wanted to be included.

you see, because of a week-long mission, you weren't able to see karma for those seven days; contacting him would have put the mission at risk. so with your return, you thought it would be fun to surprise him, to surprise the whole class.

now, you stand idle wearing a kabuki mask, your appearance hindered so you seemed genderless. it was nerve wracking being in front of class E as a foe; you hope they'd still like you after sparring with them.

ah, it's no time to fret over.

karasuma was currently going over the instructions of today's training. you were beside him with your arms folded behind you, your posture as straight as can be so the class wouldn't be suspicious. in reality, they don't know you're an assassin—only karma does—so it isn't difficult deceiving them. but despite that, you know your classmates are smart, so it was best if you blew off any suspicion.

"right. instead of the class sparring with each other, you will spar with them–" karasuma points at you, "–to test your skills in close combat."

while the teacher spoke, your eyes wander over to koro-sensei—who was in a sand pit. the octopus takes notice of your stare and grins as he waves at you. the action makes you flinch, although you wave back in solidarity. you turn toward karasuma at the sound of his next instructions.

"your task is to try and remove the mask from your opponent's face."

isogai raises his hand, "what do we win in return?"

"nothing."

"a date!"

all attention shifts to koro-sensei as he yells those words. you, on the other hand, are taken aback by the suggestion and snap your head to where the octopus sat.

"i–"

"i'm in!" terasaka exclaims from the back of the class. you groan, practically dying as more began agreeing with koro-sensei's proposal.

"yeah, it sounds fun! though i doubt i would actually go on a date with them if they're a chick." rio announces with a laugh.

"only one way to find out." you overhear okajima say, shivering in disgust at the perverted tone he uses.

"i will be calling you one by one, so please squat while you all wait for your turn." karasuma states to the class and they all obey.

so no objection to the date thing, huh? you deadpan behind the mask. once all your classmates were seated on the open field, you observe that one student wasn't with the group—also noting that that student hasn't said a word so far.

looking over to a nearby tree, you recognize your boyfriend leaning against it. from your standpoint, his eyes were focused solely on the class building. you couldn't fret over him for long, though, as karasuma called over the first student.

"muramatsu!"

defeating your classmates in close combat proved to be much easier than you expected. you'd think with your week-long absence that most of them would improve in their skills, but they haven't much.

"okuda!"

oh no.. the girl was one of your closest companions, debatably more than karma if not as a boyfriend. a dispute broke out in your mind whether to go easy on her or not, but you thought back on karasuma's words.

"it would test their skills."

he had a point, you should treat her fairly. in addition, this would let you see how far she is in hand to hand combat.

the female advances toward you, her demeanor hesitant and shy. you get into position and make a 'proceed' motion with your fingers; she strikes. it's an attempt to hit your mask, however you counter with a defensive palm strike to her incoming arm.

you utilize your other hand and grip her wrist tight. the girl then tries to grab the mask using her less dominant hand but you smack it away with the forearm you used to counter her previous attack. once okuda was distracted, you disrupt her balance by sweeping her legs from under her.

the student was now on the ground with you still clutching her right wrist; your other hand keeping her shoulder locked to the ground.

the rest of class E marvels at your skills, clapping in unity—partly for you and partly for okuda. by the sound of a whistle, you let go of the girl and help her up.

"you did great okuda!" nagisa gives okuda a thumbs up.

you commended the blue-haired boy for lasting longer than most of the others when he was called up. although, it was isogai who outdid even him and accomplished twisting your mask so a part of your face was displayed.

majority of the class had already participated, so the only one left was, "karma!"

you peer over to where karma was, noting that he didn't take initiative to move from his spot. you roll your eyes, was he always this harrowing when you'd be gone for extended periods of time?

karasuma yells out for karma once more and only then did the red head move. his strides seemed restraint. he wasn't holding himself with high confidence, which you sigh at. you're being dramatic. you think, deeming his behavior to be 'over the top' because you were only gone for a week.

i should be assigned on a month-long mission and see his reaction. you snicker at the mental image of it.

"let's get this over with."

the pair of you get into position and you let karma toss the first move. he attempts to close the distance between you and takes hold of your dominant arm. countering the move, you throw off his balance. you recognize that your boyfriend has fast reflexes, so knocking out his balance would be an advantage for you.

the whistle... karma lost. both of you breathe heavily, panting like dogs in summer heat. currently, you were straddling the male, with him beneath you, pinning his arms to the grassy terrain.

the session was drawn-out longer than you anticipated, had your boyfriend been training? you'd frequently spar with each other so this new level of skill karma managed to achieve was a surprise.

"so none of us win a date with this beast?" maehara asks in the heat of the silence.

"even karma couldn't beat them.." kayano mentions in awe, whereas the rest of the class stare at the scene quietly.

as if on cue, the string of your kabuki mask snaps. the object falls on karma and you stiffen, this was not the plan. but you couldn't do anything, your identity was made known now that you weren't hiding behind a mask.

you didn't have to scan your classmates' faces to know how they would react.

but what of karma? what of your boyfriend? despite knowing him better than anyone else, he was still unpredictable.

you didn't know how he'd behave with your return.

would he be angry because you didn't call him prior? will he be happy to see you after a week of no communication? or even–

"(name)?"

your thoughts are cut off by the sound of karma's voice breaking through the silence. you get off of him in a frenzy, words spilling out of your mouth in an effort to explain yourself.

"i was going to come into class today after returning from my trip, but i thought that this would be better, you know? i was going to reveal myself after pe! and this wasn't supposed to happen, believe me, but– ah.."

groaning, you eventually stop rambling and rest your head in your hands, waiting for their inevitable response. one moment it was only your heavy breathing you heard, and the next there was a group of yelling adolescence in your ears—accompanied by many arms wrapping around your body.

they were hollering out a deal of words you couldn't quite catch, so you simply hug the person closest to you—which happens to be kayano.

school already ended for the day and you had finished your affairs. but one thing kept bothering you all throughout the day, though. it was that karma had never once talked to you, he never even glanced at you nor acknowledged you during breaks.

the pair of you are wending your way through an empty street at present, but not a word has been spoken between you two. you did attempt to strike up a conversation but absolutely failed, perhaps you should apologize first.

"i'm sorry i didn't contact you as soon as i finished my mission. i thought surprising you would be fun– or i guess it was more of a.. prank...?"

your words slow to a stop immediately as karma begins laughing out loud. truly, your boyfriend was an unpredictable enigma.

"you should've said something the moment that octopus mentioned we'd win a date with you."

you pause your movements, utterly stunned at karma's words.

"is that why you didn't talk to me all day?" you blink, your tone barely passing as an inside voice; beyond dumbfounded with your boyfriend's reasoning.

karma stops in his tracks, as well, and shrugs. "pretty much. you never objected to it, so–" he moves closer, "–would you have gone on a date with the person who won against you?"

the tight proximity between you both causes you to sweat drop. you pull away from the male while the question lingers in the air, waiting for a response.

"no, of course not. anyway, i didn't say anything because i didn't wanna ruin the surprise." you clarify.

"good, i should be the only one who takes you on dates."

a laugh erupts in your throat at his statement; karma's attention loiters on you, his eyes carrying mischief in them and so, he gets an idea.

"and.. i should be the only one who gets to do this with you." the redhead dives in for a kiss and reaches to hold your waist with both hands. you freeze-up for a moment, present events still sinking in; eventually you kiss him back with much more force—settling your hands to wrap around his neck.

karma smirks into the kiss and cranes his neck so he would be 'looking down' and you 'looking up'. the male squeezes your sides and you make a noise. in retaliation, you rake your hands through his locks and pull on it.

your boyfriend breaks your lips' connection, accepting his defeat.

"don't do that." you demand as you let go of his hair, and his neck altogether for that matter.

karma sticks his tongue out like a child at your disclosure. you huff and turn away from him, marching to the direction of your homes. the male catches up to you, albeit he's more relaxed than you and your stiff strides. you also note that he still had an arm snaked around your waist.

"get your hands off me."

"not a chance~!"

random school uniform customisations that could've been done in the AC live-action movies (imo)

ok so the assassination classroom live action movies have flaws. But I can't stop thinking about how visually, some ideas could have helped the goal of differentiating the cast, and showing their personalities a bit more.

Two things the movies, due to their shortened runtime, struggled to do otherwise.

BUT.

(click on read more for my whole run-down on how I would've handled things!)

First of all, I understand keeping it all natural hair colors. That's a choice. Black haired Nagisa and Kayano, and maroon-haired Karma? I can live with that.

Why not take advantage of the fact some of the students DO have unnatural hair? As in, it's implied it's a dye that they consenciously do, notably as 'counter-culture', free spirits?

The blond hair on top of Terasakas' hair, along with Rio gyaru-bleach? Kurahashi's implied gradient hair, Maehara chapatsu orange-ish style, and Sugaya's grey bob?

It goes well with their characters too, and would've helped making them stand out!

Same with Ritsu! A norwegian AI moe girl is the perfect excuse for bright hair!

(while we're at it, if I could retcon another thing from the movie, it's making it so that an actual blasian actor is casted for Yoshida. But what can I do now...)

For the more broad uniform differences, I think it's a lost opportunity to not take advantage of the fact the actors have, well, a consistent costume on themselves.

Whearas in the manga format you'd need to keep track of everything by yourself and draw it over and over again.

Upper body customisations:

Okano could have had the tracksuit jacket we see her with in the extra episode, over her uniform. She would totally wear the matching sweatpants under her skirt.

It would've been fun to have Yada wear different scrunchies overtime, and wear the matching sweater! Maybe even a sleeveless one, could portray her sweet, preppy side well.

To tie in with her hair, Kurahashi too could have a nice, cute (tie-dye?) sweater! Maybe on the "fluffier" side?

Hazama could have had a simple black V neck sweater too. Maybe with a pocket on the chest that she pulls out small stuff from. IDK. Maybe a pen attached? A bookmark?

Kayano could wear tacky, pudding themed t-shirts under her blazer! For foreshadowing her link with someone, but also because it ties in with her persona...lity!

Okuda could've worn a lab-coat over her blazer, or even have it replace the blazer! Yeah, kind of on the nose, but it's a 2 hours movie set in a small set with 28 cast members.

Instead of the school-blaser, Kimura too could have worn a sports' hoodie?

There could have been a nod to various baseball stuff through Sugino wearing a specific jersey/jacket.

More! Baggy pockets cargo pants! As of canon, only Okajima, Chiba and Nagisa have them, but I believe it would fit Yoshida, maybe? Even others, I'm curious.

The state of the uniform and how it's worn could be telling too!

Someone like Takebayashi (who, apparently, is the only one to wear the vest, consisting the fullest uniform, along with Isogai!) and Kataoka have very ironed, proper uniforms, whilst Terasaka canonically wears his button-up days in a row.

Nagisa (who would have his pigtails!) also has a too-big uniform for his, showing his whole "isn't right in his skin" arc.

His canon design cuffs his pants, and he apparently had promised his mother he'd grow into it (the uniform) right?

True to her kogyaru/kogal style, Nakamura's skirt could be shorter. She did get sent to Class E partially because of breaking the dress code! (obviously, with the actress comfort taken into consideration)

I like Isogai and Maehara uniforms already, but I feel like for a live-action it needs to be exagerated a bit more.

Isogai's vest could be more visible with his blazer open, so that it differentiates him with Chiba, and also because it is a nod to his job as a waiter.

Maehara's sweater is a nice idea! I think he'd wear it a bit over-sized, and open, though. His tie is also not that tight. He also has trendy, but rather unpractical, shoes.

Maybe some hair stuff could be done too! Nothing drastic as to change totally the original character design, but maybe some headbands or hairpins?

Hara having matching looser socks (extrapolating from her design) and headbands (that could get her bangs out of the way when she does stuff) could be very cute.

Along with hair elastics on her wrist like Nagisa, ready to lend some to others!

Again, adding utility to a piece and building on its existence!

SOCKS!

Kurahashi could have cute legwarmers too.

There could be a diversity in color, length...

Kanzaki still has her iconic black tights, of course, but maybe she could have fancy shoes? Mary Janes? Something, both figuratively and literally, polished.

She could have one of those plastic black hairbands too, adding a little more visual interest to her otherwise pretty basic hair. It also is polished, and could represent the oppresive side of her family, literally weighting on top her. It also has a sort of shine and light to it, which also lines up with the whole "angel halo/madonna of the class" title.

While we're onto footwear...

Shoes! You can NOT tell me Muramatsu isn't a sneakers' fan (sneakerhead?)! (unintentionally inspired that headcanon list)

Terasaka and his middle aged dad-style slippers for the win! I love them. Pantoufles de daron, as we say in my corner of the world.

Mimura canonically has white shoes that kind of denote from others, that'd be a nice touch too. (he also could wear his "directors' style" sweater over his shoulders like in some extra content!)

He also can have his belt too! It can add visual interest, as always!

The bags could be a fun touch too. They're all the same, sure, but social butter flies or passionate souls could have a bunch of charms (or merch!) added to it.

Some could be frumpy, stained, doodled on, emboidered, or filled to the brim...

SPECIAL CASES:

An anticonformist (not that much by belief, but by absolutely not caring about living as anything less than their authentic self-expression) like Sugaya would definitely rock a skirt-over-pants style.

Or even just wear a painters' apron permanently! You don't know when you'll need to DIY some camouflage, or stain yourself any other way. The light grey would match the hair, too.

Now that I think about it, Fuwa might ditch the shoes for more average, comfy sneakers like Sugino, Kimura, and also do without the tie. It'd be a nice change to have a girl not wear it. Her socks could be easter eggs from other mangas, too?

I don't have everyone pinned down, mainly because I see them as rule-abiding students on that front (no blame on them).

Chiba, Hayami, etc. would wear their uniforms to a T, I believe, just like in canon.

Chiba is really, really glad he has the cargo pants though. His punk side could show in a couple adjustements, like ditching the blaze

Why Are They Friends?

Even if it's not obvious during the first watch, everyone in the ass-class fandom agrees that Gakushu's closest friend is Ren. Ever since I started writing Ren into my Asano fics, I've had this constant question going on in my head. How and why are they friends? I can see why Ren would stick with someone like Gakushu. Gakushu is admired by everyone and that includes Ren. But, why does Gakushu see Ren as a friend? Or does he? Even as adults the two keep in contact with each other, so he must enjoy his company somewhat. Gakushu also refers to Ren as his first name, unlike most people. 

Ren is a womanizer, who, yes has amazing grades, but so do the other guys in the Big Five. So why is he the closest to Ren?

Now, it could be because of Ren's status at school. Gakushu is rather shallow, so I doubt he would be close to someone who doesn't have the intelligence or wealth to back them up. Ren has both of those. 

According to the show, Ren is not only described as a poet but a shrewd one at that. And as we all know it, Gakushu himself is one manipulative asshole, so maybe that's something he admires from Ren.

In chapter 50, when Gakushu went to confront Isogai for having a job, one of the women there got upset, but Ren immediately stepped in and calmed her down. Now, Gakushu is a good-looking guy, he could probably seduce anyone if he wanted. But let's face it, he wouldn't. So, he leaves that stuff for Ren to do.

It wouldn't surprise me if something like this happened before where Ren needs to use his poetic skills to quell an angry woman so Gakushu could do what he wants. Would that make them partners in crime lol.

And over time, their time, they probably grew to have some kind of bond and grew to trust Ren for stuff like that. Ren is also the student council secretary, giving him more opportunities to be with Gakushu. 

They also hang out outside of school. After their loss in the sports festival, Ren offered Gakushu to go out to eat at a fancy restaurant to cheer him up. 

I don't see Gakushu asking any of the Big Five to go out and just hang out. He seems to only spend time with them when it comes to school-related activities. From what I have seen, Ren is the one to suggest going out or inviting others to parties.

It's safe to say that Ren seems to like having a social life. He's not like Gakushu, someone who is obsessed with grades. Yes, Ren likes to have high grades, but he also likes hanging out with his friends, going on dates, and just being a teenager. And since Gakushu was groomed to spend all his time excelling at everything, which means he doesn't have time to build genuine relationships around people, it's a nice change of pace to hang out with someone like Ren.

Why “Ball Game Tournament Time” is underrated as hell

BASEBALL EPISODE! BASEBALL EPISODE! Any anime that has a baseball episode in it is bound to get Hailey hooked!

Hadn’t mention before but I love listening to Sugi’s dubbed voice. For someone who shares a voice actor with the loud mouth that is Katsuki Bakugo his voice is nice to listen to

Sugino: “It was about being proud of my new friends. I wanted to show them off.” Sugino I fucking love you.

Welp that’s it. That was a good ass episode that we as a fandom should talk about more! It’s season 1’s version of leader time to me. In fact it’s part of my top ten favorite episodes of the series (I really need to make a list) I don’t say it that much but Sugino as a character brings me so much serotonin so watching this episode was a joy for me! Combined with the fact that I love baseball this episode was an absolute delight.

I keep forgetting how bad I feel for Shindy boy here. Like, he was just slightly cocky and he ended up getting manipulated left and right. Seriously, I wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up having nightmares about the 3-E students sniping him in his sleep or something.

Princess complex meaning someone with a “pretty” outlook on life, high expectations, and wanting to be treated like a princess!

Ever since you joined E-class there’s always been one thing that stuck out to your classmates, and that was your “princess mentality.”

It’s not a problem when you’re dating Karma because he’s the type to feed into it. It’s not like you’re actually stuck up or look down on people. You might joke about it the same way he acts overly confident about himself but that’s as far as it goes, so he doesn’t see the harm in giving in to you, just a bit!

The negative aspect to having a “princess complex” is your inability to pitch when hard labor is involved. It doesn’t mix well with assassination attempts. This is probably the one thing that bothers the class as a whole.

“[Name], we need you to set the wire trap at the other side of the mountain!”

“That’s so much walking in this heat… and I’m gonna get my shoes all ruined!”

Kataoka has been trying to get you to pitch in a little more, as class rep she feels it’s her job. Whenever she asks you such and say you’ll do it later…and proceed to completely forget about it.

She thought getting Karma to ask would solve things but no you just feel more comfortable straight up rejecting his requests.

“Karma, tell [Name] she has to do something.”

“[Name], do something.”

“No.”

“I tried.”

Terasaka has to drag you all the way there, you’re helping whether you want to or not.

Karma’s usually the one having to push you into stuff you can’t bring yourself to.

Nagisa sent you both out to grab some essential items for the next attempt.

“Why can’t you carry it, this is heavyyyy.”

“[Name] I’ve been carrying your bag for the last 20 minutes, it feels like you drag bricks around.”

“Sorry…”

“Don’t sweat it this is light work, but you have to carry something yourself.” (His arms hurt but he’ll never admit that.)

“Alright- I guess I can do it… only because you asked.”

(For once!)

There are classmates who will call you out of the princess fantasy; Terasaka, Maehara (depends on the day tbh), Kataoka.

The teachers, for sure call you out!! Korosensei’s will dote on you but push you to make some effort. You don’t want to spar? He bargains.

“[Name] I know you don’t want to ruin your nails but please participate, if they break, I’ll re do them!!”

Mr. Karasuma just straight out lectures you about how assassination takes getting your hands dirty and takes sacrifice, he eventually gives up and does things your way- he noticed Karma is really good at pissing you off and partnering you up is the perfect way to bring out your potential.

“Scared to mess up your hair? Sounds like a lame excuse, just admit you suck at sparring.”

“YOU’LL EAT YOUR WORDS.” (You ended up losing, but hey at least you swung this time!)

Ms. Vitch is a bit different, encouraging you to continue to have the mindset you do. she adores you because you remind her of herself, she’s got a soft spot! Your #1 supporter. You helped design the assassination uniforms with her.

In contrast there’s classmates who’ll let you live out your princess dreams, Hinano, Isogai (he will encourage you to help out so sweetly it won't feel like he’s trying to humble you when he is.) , Nagisa lets you do your thing, Okajima who’s to big of a simp to complain, Ritsu whose the cutest ever.

With Princess syndrome comes high standards, so Karma’s kind of flattered he fits yours. He’s a bit unsure of himself underneath the front he puts on, having your approval means a lot to him but he won’t admit that out loud.
