Couples Shit with Simon Riley (Part 2):
Having a giggle/chuckle fest almost every time you are intimate. It first happened at the beginning of your relationship when you would giggle every time you two kissed. It opened the floodgates, had let that nervous energy out, and Simon was right there chuckling with you. ("Hehâaw, fuck me.")
Swearing up and down that you're gonna fuck each other's brains out but as soon as you hit the bed, you and Simon are out like a light. The last time this happened, he was supposed to go down on you, but the next thing you know, you woke up to him fast asleep with his head on your stomach.
Kissing the bridge of his crooked nose and Simon turning into putty every time. Hell, kissing any and every dent, bruise, and scar, and making your man melt.
A nice round of horizontal tango turning into a cuddle session after you comforted Simon through a charley horse. Poor baby.
Initially making the telly watch you two make sex but turns out whatever you're watching was pretty decent after all so you guys are back to watching the telly again.
Getting hot and heavy one time but you were so intrigued with the mole you discovered on Simon's inner thigh that you spent the next half-hour or so trying to find other moles on his body.
Telling Simon that you "always wanted to do this" and when you get him hot, bothered, and hard, it turns out what you always wanted to do was measure him. His disappointment was immeasurable... even if he was interested to know the number.
Twinning in some way, shape, or fashion whenever you're out together.
Talking mad shit about his snoring but let him tell it, he doesn't say shit when you take up about 80% of the bed, covers, and sleep under him.
Speaking of talking shit, having disagreements like every couple does and when you go to bed, you're angrily cuddling each other. And yes, Simon still wants your kisses in the morning, even if you two are still mad at each other. Simon doesn't give a shit, you're still gonna love on him, dammit. And him on you.
Being mad with Simon when he arrived too late to get the creepy crawler that was harassing you. Harassing you by doing what it does best: be a creepy crawler. Simon tells you you'll have to conquer your fear one day. You tell him to conquer the couch tonight lmao.
Agreeing to disagree about the superior ice cream flavor in the house. It's too bad there's not any of his favorite ice cream in the freezer. There's some of yours, though. Why? You didn't get any because it was so superior that you wouldn't "dare sully it with your hands". Cue the judgemental stare and him eating YOUR ice cream afterward. Rude.
Scaring the ever-living shit out of Simon on the rare occasions he gets to sleep in. He woke up to you sitting up in bed with his mask and paint on. Oh, and he calls bullshit. He did not nearly fall out the bed. Nor did he jump. Okay, Simon.
Chilling and drinking with Simon. Finding out he gets hot and sweaty pretty easily and off comes his clothes. Waking up hungover the next morning and you're the big spoon to a naked and equally hungover Simon. Choosing to do fuck all but sleep it off that day.
Playfully calling or referring to him as the Missus, especially in front of your co-workers. When they finally meet Simon and ask him who he is, he replies in pure deadpan Ghost fashion: "The Missus".

Disability Tropes: The Perfect Prosthetic
[ID: A screenshot from the movie Nimona, showing Nimona, a small white girl with red hair, grabbing the right prosthetic arm of Ballister, a knight in black armour with black hair and light brown skin. He is holding a broken bottle in his prosthetic hand while Nimona admires his arm. Overlaid on the screenshot is white text that reads "Disability Tropes: The Perfect Prosthetic" /End ID]
In a lot of media, prosthetic limbs are portrayed as these devices that act as a near-perfect replacement for a character who has lost, or was born without a limb. So much so that in a lot of cases, the use of a prosthetic has basically no impact on the character beyond a superficial level or their appearance, or it's portrayed as something that's even better than the old meat-limb it's replacing. This trope shows up most often in Sci-fi, but it shows up in all kinds of stories outside of that, even otherwise very grounded ones!
If a story isn't depicting the loss of a limb as the be-all-end-all worst thing that can happen to a person, they almost always default to a perfect prosthetic, functionally curing the amputation with it. But the reality is that prosthetics are FAR from perfect, and as someone who has used them for their entire life I don't think they ever will be. Limb difference is still and always will be a disability, regardless of the prosthetics available, and this really isn't a bad thing.
Why is this trope so common?
I meant it when I said this is a really, really a common trope, so much so that the majority of the media I've seen with amputees and characters with limb differences that released in the last decade or end up using it. Even stories where becoming an amputee is treated like a fate worse than death, ironically, aren't excluded from this. I have a few theories as to why this has happened: The pessimistic answer is that it's easy. You get to have a disabled character and claim you have disability representation, without really having to do much extra work or research because most of your audience won't notice if you aren't accurate - in fact they kind of expect it. You also, for the most part, dodge the backlash other kinds of disability representation (or really any minority representation) usually get. The more optimistic reason is that, for a long time, amputees and people with limb differences (as well as a lot of other disabled people) were predominantly shown in media as sad, depressed and unable to do anything, very much falling into the "sad disabled person" trope. As a kid, this was really the only way I saw people like me on screen or in books. And so, the limb difference community pushed back against that portrayal and were pretty successful in changing the narrative in the public's eye. A little too successful. A lot of creatives were genuinely trying to do right by our community, listen and do better, but many simply overcorrected and instead ended up creating stories where prosthetics were essentially cures instead of the mobility aids they are. I also think the public's general lack of understanding about disability plays a roll in all this. There are a lot of people who, in my experience, believe that the more visible a disability is, the worse it is. Limb differences and amputations are very visible, but prosthetics, even those that aren't trying to be discreet, make them less so. While using a prosthetic is very, very different to a biological limb, you won't necessarily see how in a casual interaction with, say a co-worker or neighbor, especially because there is a very real stigma applied to people with limb differences to keep those things hidden from the public. There are other reasons too, such as the fact that a lot of creatives don't even consider the connection to real amputees when creating characters with robotic limbs in genres like sci-fi and some fantasy, so they never stop to consider that these tropes could be impacting real people. Amputees are also very frequently used in "inspiration porn" content that uses the angle that disabilities can be "overcome" with a good attitude, downplaying the way those disabilities actually impact us. The prosthetics industry - specifically the component manufacturers, often also push the idea of prosthetics being the only way to return to a "normal" life, both to the wider public and to people with limb differences and amputations (which can add to that sense of shame I mentioned when it doesn't play out that way for them). On top of that, I also think the recent increase in popularity of concepts like trans-humanism contributes to it as well. these movements often talk about robotic or bionic body parts being enhancements and "the way of the future", and I think people get a bit too caught up on what may be potentially possible in the future with the real, current experiences of people with "robotic limbs" aka prosthetics, now. There are also inherently disabling things that come with removing and replacing parts of your body, things that will not just go away with some fancier tech.
So How do you actually avoid the trope?
So, we have some ideas about why it happens, but how do you actually avoid the "perfect prosthetic" trope from appearing in your work? The most important thing is to remember that this is still a disability. The loss of a limb, even with the best prosthetic technology or magical item in the world, will always have some inherently disabling aspects to it - and this is not a bad thing. The key is to not over-do it, lest you risk falling into the old "sad disabled person" trope. So let's go over some of the ways you can show how your character's disability impacts them. You don't have to use all of these recommendations, just choose the ones that would best fit your character, their circumstances and your setting.
The prosthetic itself is just different
Probably the most important thing to address and acknowledge for prosthetic-using characters, is the actual ways in which the prosthetic itself is different from a biological limb, and the drawbacks and changes that come with that. For the sake of simplicity, I'm mainly going to focus on modern prosthetics here, but it's worth considering how to apply this your own, more advanced/fantastical prosthetics too. One major thing that most people writing amputees fail to acknowledge is that prosthetic limbs are not fleshy-limbs with a different coat of paint. They do the same basic thing their meat-counterparts do, but how they do it is often drastically different, which changes how they are used. A really good example of this is in prosthetic feet. There are dozens of joints in a biological foot, but most prosthetic feet have no joints or moving parts at all. Instead of having dozens of artificial joints to mimic the real bone structure of a foot, which are more prone to failure, require power and make the prosthetic much, much heavier for very little gain, prosthetic feet are often constructed from flexible carbon fiber sheets inside a flexible rubber foot-shaped shell. This allows the bend and flex those bones provide, without all the drawbacks that come from trying to directly mimic it. Making the sheets into different shapes makes them more ideal for different activities. E.g. feet made for general use, like walking around the city, are simple and light, shaped to encourage the most energy-efficient steps, while still allowing their users to do things like wear normal shoes. Feet made for rough terrain often have a split down the middle of the foot to allow the carbon fiber sheets to bend better over rocks when there is no ankle, and some newer designs also include a kind of suspension using pressurized air pulled from the prosthetic socket to allow some additional padding. Running feet have large "blades" made of these carbon fiber sheets to absorb more pressure when the foot hits the ground, and redirect the force that creates to propel their user forward as quickly as possible.
[ID: A photo of 4 prosthetic feet. On the left, the foot is covered with a black shoe, the one to it's right consists of a small, carbon fiber blade, split down the middle, in roughly the same shape and size as the previous foot. Next to the right is an even simpler and smaller carbon fiber foot with no split, and finally is a very short foot that is vaguely rectangular in shape. /End ID]
These are some of my own prosthetic feet I've had over the years. The two on the right are designed to be used by someone who is less mobile, and the ones on the left are made for someone who is more active. As my needs changed over the years, I've used different designs and styles, and keep the old ones since my needs do tend to fluctuate.
There are also robotic feet available that are designed as a kind of "all-purpose" foot that use an electronic ankle which more closely mimics a biological foot, but they are not very popular as the mechanism adds a lot of extra weight and it requires a battery and power to work, with many amputees feeling the jointless carbon fiber feet do a better job at meeting their needs. The same goes for arms and hands. "Robotic" hands that mimic a meat hand exist, but they aren't really that popular, even in places like Australia where the prohibitively expensive price tag isn't as much of an issue due to government programs that pay for the device for you. Instead, most arm amputees who use prosthetics that I know prefer simpler devices that do specific tasks, and just swap between them as needed, rather than something that tries to do it all. A big part of this is because the all-purpose hands can be clunky. they often require manual adjustment using the other hand to do simple things like going from holding a deck of cards to putting them down and picking up a glass of water, for example. The few that don't require that, I've been told, are often temperamental and don't actually work for every person with a limb difference.
Altered Proprioception
Loosing a limb is a big deal and this is always going to have an impact on the body in some way that won't be solved with a fancy piece of tech. One such example is how limb loss effects your sense of proprioception. This is your sense of where your body parts are in space. It's how you (mostly) know where your foot is going to land when you're walking, or how you're able to do things like lift up a glass of water without needing to actually watch your hand do it. Your brain does this by creating a mental map of your body, but this map doesn't get adjusted if you loose a limb. If that map doesn't accurately reflect your real body, you're not going to have an accurate sense of proprioception. This might look like a leg amputee being a bit less stable on their feet, or like an arm amputee needing to look at their arm or hand to be able to grab something with it. Those born without their limbs who take to using prosthetics often have a lot of trouble adapting, as their brains aren't used to having that limb in the first place, whereas an amputee's brain can sometimes be tricked into using their outdated body map to help them adjust to the prosthetic (though its impossible to line it up perfectly). Prosthetics that directly integrate with the nervous system, while rare, do exist, and even this direct connection doesn't completely erase this issue for reasons doctors aren't quite sure about. This is something that does become less of a problem with time. Eventually, someone proficient with their prosthetic will learn to compensate, but their sense of proprioception will never be 100% perfect. At the end of the day, no matter how it attaches, a prosthetic is still not a natural part of the body, and that will always cause some issues. It also means if they aren't practicing it all the time, they may have to relearn how to compensate for it.
Extra weight
You also have to remember that a prosthetic is not a natural part of the body, like we already talked about, and so no matter how good it is, your brain will most likely always interpret the weight of the prosthetic as something attached to you, not part of you. This means that, even though prosthetics are actually a lot lighter than biological limbs, they feel so much heavier. This is because, while a meat limb is heavier, a lot of that weight is from muscles which are actively contributing to the limb working, so it doesn't really feel like its that heavy. When you have less of your meat-limb though, you have even less muscle to work with to move this big thing strapped to it, so it feels heavier. The more of the limb you've lost, or just didn't have, the heavier the prosthetic has to be, and the less muscle you have left to move it. It's for this reason that a lot of amputees and people with limb differences get tired faster when using prosthetics. Some of us are fit enough where you almost wouldn't notice the extra effort they need to put in, but once again, just because you can't see it from the outside, doesn't mean it's not an issue.
Avoiding Water
Most prosthetics also aren't waterproof, and so prosthetic users have to be very careful about when and how they come into contact with it. For amputees with electric components, contact with water at all will likely damage the device. This can even include especially heavy rain, something I was told to avoid when I got my electronic knee prosthetic and something I assume would also apply to arm amputees with complex, electronic hands. For those with non-electronic prosthetics, water can be hazardous for different reasons. If the prosthetic has metal components, water may cause them to rust, especially if it's salty water. Other prosthetics have foam covers to give the illusion of a limb with the general shape of muscles and fat, but these covers do not come off, and if they get wet enough that water seeps all the way through, it is very hard to dry it and they may become moldy. Finally, cheaper modern prosthetics may also float. Many are made of very light-weight materials and some have pockets of air trapped inside them. For leg prosthetics in particular, this means a user might, at best, struggle to swim with them on, but at worst, may get flipped upside down and become trapped underwater - something that happened to me as a very young child. On the flip-side, older prosthetics were usually made of heavy materials like wood or steel, and so had the opposite problem, acting like a weight and pulling a person down if they were to wear them in the water. Water-safe prosthetics do exist, I had a pair of prosthetic legs as a teenager that were hollow, and designed especially for me to swim with fins on when swimming in the ocean, and Nadya Vessey, a double leg amputee in New Zealand even got a mermaid-tail prosthetic made especially for use in the water. Most amputees though just swim without any prosthetics at all, and in 99% of cases, this is the easiest and safest way to go.
Prosthetic-Related Pressure Sores and Pain
Many people with limb differences also experience pressure sores from their prosthetics. Modern prosthetics typically attach to the body using a socket made of carbon fiber or fiberglass, held on either by pressure, using a vacuum seal or through a mechanical locking system built into the socket. No matter the specifics though, the socket has to be very tight in order to stay on, and this means that extended periods of use can lead to rub-spots, blisters and pressure sores. Many socket prosthetics also use silicone liners to add extra padding, but this means wounds caused by the pressure can't breathe, and bacteria in sweat has nowhere to go, meaning if the person doesn't rest when one of these wounds occur, it can very easily and quickly turn into a serious infection. In a properly fitting prosthetic, used by someone who has fully adjusted to them, this doesn't happen often, but it is something most amputees and people with limb differences have to at least be mindful of. Some new prosthetics use a different method of attachment, called Osteointegration - where the prosthetic attaches to a clip, surgically implanted into the person's bones. While Osteointegration avoids many of the issues like pressure sores that come from a socket, they have their own issues: mainly that they are incredibly expensive, and as of right now, have a pretty high failure rate due to the implant getting infected. Because the implants are directly connected to the bone, these infections become very serious very quickly. Many people with Osteointegration limbs have to be on very strong medication to keep these infections at bay, and they are generally considered unsuitable for anyone who is going to regularly come into contact with "unclean" environments.
Maintenance
[ID: A screenshot of Winrey, from Full Metal alchemist Brotherhood, a white woman with blond hair handing out the sides of a green hat. She is measuring a piece of metal from a prosthetic she is making while Ed, the prosthetic's owner, gives her a thumbs up in the background. /End ID]
Finally, prosthetics also require maintenance from a specialist called a prosthetist, and they don't last forever. Some parts, like a foot or hand, can be reused over an over, but the sockets of a prosthetic need to be completely remade any time your body changes shape, including if you gain/loose weight, you start experiencing swelling, or you're just a child who is growing. Children in particular need new prosthetics every few months because they grow so fast, and as such, their prosthetics have to be made with this growth in mind. If they go too long without adjustment or an entirely new prosthetic, it can seriously impact the child and their growth but even small adjustments can be costly, depending on where you live. While prosthetics are built to be sturdy and reliable, they need a lot of work to stay that way. The more complex the prosthetic, the more work is needed. Complicated electronic components may need to have regular maintenance done by your prosthetist or even the specific component's manufacturer, and depending on where you live, this might mean having to send your prosthetic limb away for this to be done. While my prosthetist technically has the skills and knowledge to do the maintenance on my electronic knee, for example, the manufacturer forbids anyone not from their company to provide this service, meaning my leg needs to be shipped off to Germany once every few years if I want to keep the warranty. This has the unfortunate side effect of sometimes your limbs getting lost in postage (shout-out to Australia Post, who lost mine twice), meaning it can be months before you get it back or get a replacement. Usually, you'll be given a replacement in the meantime if you need it, but walking on a leg that isn't yours, even when its correctly fitted, always feels a bit weird (maybe that's just me though).
Not every difference is Inherently Negative
We've talked about some of the negatives that come from having a prosthetic, but not every difference is negative or even really that big of a deal. In fact, often times, it's these little moments in the depiction of a disability that go the furthest and make it feel the most genuine. My amputations effect me from the moment I wake up, to the moment I go to bed, but that doesn't mean every single way it impacts me is always inherently bad or negative. For example, back when I was working a normal job and going to university, I would often come home, throw my legs off at the door with the shoes still attached and get into my wheelchair, the same way you might throw your shoes off after work and replace them with comfy socks and other comfy clothing. This is something I've only ever seen on screen once, with Eda from the Owl House (and she wasn't even an amputee yet, her limbs were just detachable)
[ID: an screenshot of Eda from the owl house, a very pale woman, laying on the couch in a bathrobe, her hair in a towel. She has taken her actual legs off, throwing them to the other side of the seat. /End ID]
After that, my day mostly looked the same as most other people working a 9 to 5, I'd make myself dinner, watch some TV or play some games, maybe do some extra work at my desk or chat with friends. The only difference is that it would all be from a wheelchair, mainly because my prosthetics were heavy and it was just easier to use the chair around the house. The fact my afternoon and evening routine was done from a wheelchair wasn't a bad thing, it was just different. Likewise, I also don't sleep or shower with my prosthetics on, for the same reasons most other people wouldn't take a shower or sleep in thigh-high, steel-capped boots. In your own stories, this might look like giving your characters similar alterations to how they go about their day. Let them take their arm or leg off when they're resting or relaxing, show them taking a few minutes longer to get ready because they have to put it back on, show them doing some things without it. Arm amputees in particular tend to get very good at going about their days without their arm prosthetics, and leg amputees often either learn to get around more relaxed spaces like their homes using a different mobility aids like wheelchairs or crutches, or just through hopping if that's something they're physically able to do. Even when everything is going well and working as intended, your limb-different character won't wear their prosthetic 24/7, no matter how much they love it. There doesn't have to be something wrong with it or painful about it to not want it glued to them at all times, just like you can love a pair of big heavy boots but not want them on when you're trying to sleep. For more action-focused stories, being an amputee, also changes things like how you fight. The specifics will vary from person to person, but for example, when I did Hap Ki Do, a Korean Martial art, my instructor heavily modified when I learned what techniques. Beginner-level kicks and most leg attacks were impractical for me, as the force from the kicking motion would usually cause one of my legs to fly off. I also couldn't jump very well, due to some complications with my original amputation that made my stumps too sensitive to withstand the force of landing again. So I ended up learning a lot more upper-body attacks much earlier than it is typically taught. By the time I got my green belt, I was practicing upper-body techniques usually saved for black belts - including weapons training that I could use my secondary mobility aids for, like crutches and my cane in a bad situation. Many holds that rely on creating tension in your target are also less effective on amputees, because either the anatomy that causes those holds to be painful just simply isn't there, or the body part in question can just be removed to escape. Whether we're talking about the negative things, or just neutral differences that come with using prosthetics, you don't want to go too far with any one example. The key is to strike a balance. Of course, the old writing advice of "show don't tell" also applies here. It's one thing to tell us all of this stuff, but unless we actually see it play out, it won't mean much.
How NOT to avoid the trope
Before we move on, let's focus for a moment on some common things I've seen that you SHOULDN'T do as a way to get away from the trope.
The Enhanced Prosthetic
A lot of sci-fi in particular will take prosthetic limbs, make them function exactly the same as a biological limb, but add something extra to it. This does change the way the prosthetic functions and is used, but it usually still ignores the actual disabling parts of having a prosthetic. A really good example of this can be seen in pretty much any futuristic setting, but personally, I think Fizzeroli, from Helluva Boss is the best one to demonstrate what I mean. Fizz is a quadrilateral, above knee/above elbow amputee with highly advanced prosthetics that function, more or less exactly like the limbs he lost, but with the added benefit of being super-stretchy. Fizz is an acrobat and a clown in service, at least initially, to Mammon, one of the Seven Deadly Sins. These prosthetics help him perform and we even do see how they change little things like how he walks and just goes about his day, but the show still treats them like natural arms and legs, but better.Â
[ID: A screenshot of Fizzeroli from Helluva Boss, a white-skinned imp with 4 black, prosthetic limbs, dressed in teal a nightgown as he lays in bed, reading from a list /End ID]
We see that he never takes them off, even when sleeping, and when he needs to use them as regular arms and legs, they do everything he needs, perfectly fine - at least when they're working correctly. The only time he ever even takes them off or has any issues with them, is when they break in season 2. The word amputee is never used to describe him, as far as I remember, and the fact he is one never really comes up at all, except for when they break or when the story focuses on how he lost them. Which brings me to my next point.
The Glitchy/Broken Prosthetic
One way I see people try to avoid the perfect prosthetic trope, is to take the prosthetic and break it or otherwise make it unreliable by having it malfunction, but not really changing anything else. This approach is heading in the right direction but still kind of misses the point of the criticism a lot of limb different folks have with the depictions of prosthetics in the media. Yeah, prosthetics do break down and some do require extra maintenance, but if your character's prosthetic is still exactly the same as a biological limb (or even better, in the case of the "enhanced prosthetic") when it's not broken, and the only time their disability is treated like a disability, is when it breaks, you're not really addressing the issue. Real prosthetics, like we discussed, even when functioning at 100%, exactly as the manufacturer intended, don't function the same as a meat-limb. They are fundamentally different, and the glitchy/unreliable prosthetic completely ignores all of that. Once again, Fizz is a really good example of this - the only time his prosthetics are not perfect, is when they break or are malfunctioning (despite the criticism, I do genuinely love Fizz as a character, but he unfortunately does fall into a lot of disability tropes).
[ID: Another screenshot of Fizzeroli, this time in a torn up jester outfit, looking down, panicked, at his prosthetic arms which are fully extended and laying motionless on the ground, with his left arm visibly short-circuiting with electricity around it. /End ID]
Now this isn't to say you can't have your character's prosthetics break down or malfunction at all. just that this shouldn't be the only way you differentiate the prosthetic from a biological limb. You should also be mindful of how or why they're breaking. A typical prosthetic isn't going to break down randomly from normal use unless something is very, very wrong or your character just has a terrible prosthetist (which unfortunately, does happen). You might experience issues if you try to make the prosthetic do something it just wasn't designed to do, or expose it to something it wasn't designed to deal with though (e.g. submerging an electronic prosthetic in water and trying to use it to swim).
Just add Phantom Pain
Another common pitfall I see when people are trying to avoid the perfect prosthetic trope, is to just give the character in question phantom pain - which is a side-effect of amputation where your brain's mental map of the body doesn't acknowledged you lost a limb. Your brain tries to fill in the gaps, since there is no signals coming from that part of the body anymore, and assumes either something must be wrong and so you should be in pain, even when you actually aren't. Alternatively, it can also happen when your brain was so used to feeling pain from that area before, in the case of people who had chronic conditions before they lost their limb, that it just keeps remaking those old signals itself. Like the broken/glitchy prosthetic approach, this also doesn't really address the issue with the perfect prosthetic trope, because it has nothing to do with the prosthetic itself. Phantom pain doesn't come from the prosthetic, nor does it effect how they're used, and so including it doesn't really address the issue of the prosthetic being functionally the same as the original, biological limb. This isn't to say that you shouldn't include phantom limb sensation or pain as something your character experiences, but just keep in mind that, when used on it's own, it doesn't counter the trope. Also, just be sure to do your research, everyone's experience with phantom pain is different and it's not something everyone with a limb difference even experiences.
Why is this trope even a problem?
Alright, so we know what the trope is, we know why it became so prevalent, ways to avoid it and also how not to avoid it. All good information, but why is this trope even bad? Why should you try to avoid it? Outside of just wanting to portray a real disability that effects real people more accurately in your creations, the prevalence of this trope actually contributes to a lot of real-world issues, especially when it's as overused as it currently is. I've talked before about "the jaws effect" - where the depiction of something in the media, especially something that the public is widely uneducated on, influences how people see it in real life. The Jaws effect specifically referred to how the popularity of creature-feature movies featuring sharks, like Jaws, caused the belief that sharks were monstrous killing machines to become much more wide-spread, even going so far as to influence decisions about laws and policy surrounding real-life shark preservation and culling in some parts of the world. But sharks aren't the only thing this has happened to.
Disabled people are so thoroughly misunderstood by wider society, that when tropes like this one become popular, people can and often do start to believe the misinformation they spread - in this case, believing that our prosthetics are a perfect replacement for a biological limb, and that getting a prosthetic means you're not disabled any more. While this can be annoying and cause small scale issues for some of us, like people giving us a hard time for using disability accommodations we very much need, it can also impact us in systemic ways too. If the wrong people believe these tropes, it can and does have a very real impact on the lives of disabled people through things like changes to policies to make it harder for amputees and people with limb differences to access financial assistance for other things outside of our prosthetics we may need assistance with.
Conclusion
Despite the very real harm tropes like this can do when it's overused, I don't think it should go away entirely. Some of my favourite pieces of media even use the perfect prosthetic trope and there are even some kinds of media where I even think it's somewhat unavoidable. Characters with perfect prosthetics in kids media in particular, especially when talking about side characters, can help to correct some of the other stereotypes kids may have seen elsewhere - such as prosthetics being "creepy" or "scary" - in a way that is casual and easy for them to understand. The problem with the trope, in my eyes, is it's excessive overuse. It's the fact that it seems to be the only representation amputees and people with limb differences are getting now. Not every story with a limb-different character can or even should delve into the reality of what using prosthetics is actually like, but we need at least some stories that do, without it being this majorly depressing thing.

Itâs not that Tim hates the batfam. If anything, he has a grudging respect for them. Theyâve saved his life (and Gothamâs) more times than he can count. But to Tim, that doesnât make them family.
Hereâs the thing: Tim already has a family.
Growing up as a Fenton, Tim knew what family meant. Jazz was the protective big sister who made sure he ate, slept, and survived middle school. Danny was the chaotic younger brother who still cared enough to make sure Tim didnât feel overshadowed. Even his parents, as wildly eccentric as they were, loved him with the kind of unapologetic enthusiasm only Jack and Maddie Fenton could pull off.
Sure, they werenât perfect. They panicked after Dannyâs death-and-rebirth-as-a-ghostly-superhero and left Tim with Aunt Janet Drake, thinking they were protecting him. But they called. They checked in. And once they realized how bad things were with the Drakes, they worked to make amends.
Tim never stopped being a Fenton, no matter how far Gotham took him from Amity Park.
So when Bruce Wayne swept in with promises of training, teamwork, and trust, Tim didnât see a new family. He saw an opportunity.
ââââ
The Batfamily Dynamics:
The Batfamily operates on trauma and duty. Everyone has scars, and everyone has a mission. Thatâs how Bruce connects with peopleâthrough the shared pain of loss and the relentless drive to make Gotham better.
But Timâs mission was never born out of personal tragedy. He didnât lose his parents to crime or see Gotham as something he had to save. He joined because someone had to. Batman was falling apart after Jason died, and Gotham was suffering for it. Tim stepped up because it was the right thing to doânot because he wanted to fill some emotional void.
And thatâs where the disconnect lies.
For Bruce, Dick, Jason, Damian, and even Cass, Barbara and Steph, being part of the bats means finding family again. Itâs their way of healing. But for Tim, it feels like replacing the family he already has.
ââââ
Timâs Perspective:
To Tim, the batfamily is a job. A very dangerous, very complicated job, but a job nonetheless.
Bruce isnât his father. Dick isnât his brother. Jason isnât his big-brother-who-died-and-came-back (that spot was already taken by Danny). Theyâre teammates, coworkers, and maybe even friends. But family? No.
Because family is Jazz sneaking him snacks during his stakeouts. Family is Danny sending sarcastic texts about âghost-proofingâ the Batcave. Family is Jack and Maddie trying (and failing) to make sense of his vigilante life while showing up with enough ectoplasm-based cookies to fuel an army.
Family is messy, chaotic, and full of love.
And while the batfamily might be chaotic, the love feels conditionalâwrapped up in the mission, the masks, and the unspoken rule that Gotham always comes first.
ââââ
Why Tim Doesnât Want a Second Family:
And then thereâs the second layerâthe one Tim doesnât say out loud.
To Tim, having a second family feels like betraying the one he already has. Like admitting that Jazz, Danny, and the parents who tried so hard to fix their mistakes werenât enough. And they are enough.
Tim doesnât need another family. He doesnât want another family. The Fentons are imperfect, but theyâre his. If he started thinking of the batfamily as his own, it would feel like he was erasing the people who already mean everything to him.
It would also make losing them hurt more.
The batfamilyâs world is dangerous. Gotham is dangerous. And if Tim ever let himself think of them as his familyâas more than coworkers or teammatesâit would make every death, every injury, and every failure cut that much deeper.
Timâs already had to grieve once, when Danny died. He barely survived it. He doesnât think he could go through that again, especially not in a world where loss is inevitable. Keeping the bats at armâs length is self-preservation as much as loyalty to the Fentons.
ââââ
Does It Hurt the Bats?
Absolutely.
Dick wants so badly to be Timâs big brother. Jason finds it hilarious, but even he bristles at being labeled a coworker. Damian sees it as a betrayal of loyalty. And Bruceâwell, Bruce doesnât say much, but the tight line of his mouth speaks volumes. Tim doesn't even want to think about how Cass probably already knew, and how much it had still hurt her nonetheless.
But Tim doesnât change his stance. Because at the end of the day, the bats aren't his family. Theyâre his team, his coworkers, and maybe even his friends.
And thatâs enough.

Ken sato x !reporter reader
oh, how he wishes you saw him as a man and not a boy.
cw for everything below: age difference (its used for the plot), suggestive (depending on who you ask)
thinking about kenji trying to impress reader in his games. the reader who is older, more mature and composed than him. who always comments on his arrogance in their articles or interviews. honestly, you were his harshest critic! it was your nickname amongst your co-workers as well. everyone knew you held hatred for him, and so did he. you frequently commented on his age and how it isn't smart to put so much faith into such a young and ignorant man and call him a living legend. "he isn't mature enough!" you always stated.
he hated that. his age doesn't make him better or worse than anyone else; he was just better because he was ken sato. but that didn't stop him from trying to act older, at least around you. because it was for you.
he's still so desperate to impress you. he'd do cooler moves in games, smile at the camera more in interviews, and, even though it seemed impossible, he became more prideful. but he couldn't help it! feeling your intense gaze on him as he walked onto the field or got into a stance, it was invigorating.
he especially got a rise out of seeing you roll your eyes, slumping back in your seat, crossing one leg over the other once you realized there was nothing for you to comment on his performance. it was perfect. so perfect that it would (sometimes, if he was lucky) get a small, ever so slight, smile from your lips. even better if he saw you nod your head in approval. so after one of (arguably) his best perfomances yet, one he spent weeks practicing just for his pretty little critic, he walks up to you, ready to soak in all the praise he believed he deserved.
"so... how was that y/n?" he teased, slamming himself into your personal space. it's his favorite place! if you thought it belonged to you, it was also his. "leave me alone, sato." you grumble, not wanting to admit your defeat to him. "it was good, wasn't it? right? righttt?" you push him away and begin walking away, eyes looking straight forward to avoid his gaze.
"oh c'mon, am i really that bad you can't even compliment me?" he pouted playfully, poking your oh so soft cheek, giving it a slight pinch. "fine, sato! you're a good player. you impressed me today, enough for me to even say im... proud of you." if you were to sneeze each time kenji's heart began to race, it'd look like you're having a seizure because of how fast it was.
"then why dont you show me how proud you are of me," this made you halt, snapping your head towards him. "how?" you asked, eyes focused on his lips that quirked up into a grin. "take me out to dinner. tommorow night. let me pick, and i'll consider the debt you owe me paid off." he smiled, taking a step back, allowing you to breathe again. when did you stop? "i'm not indebted to you anyway?" you retort, pushing him back even more to feel like you had the upper hand here. "yes, you are! all the times you've doubted my abilities! am i not worthy of getting an apology? a gift?" he said dramatically, placing his hand on his chest.
you sputter nothing in disbelief, until something clocks inside of your little brain. "are you asking me on a date, sato?" you asked, crossing your arms over your chest, a shit eating grin on your face. he leans down to your level, which is when you register how much taller he was than you, and tilts his head to the side. "and if i am?" kenji's voice goes quieter. "you're not my type." you mock, mimicking his tone. "i like them older." to this, he laughs. "you like grandpa's y/n? you like them near their deathbed?" he joked, trying (and failing) to hide his laughter. "yeah, atleast they're gentlemen, unlike you."
"i may not be the most gentlemanly person on earth, but i am a gentle man in everything else."
oh! oh. now you were entering dangerous territory. not for him, for you. it was so clear what he was setting up as a trap, and yet, despite all the warning signs there was, opened your plump little lips and asked with the purest face ever (even though your thoughts were the complete opposite) "how can i know if youre lying or not?"
and kenji, oh the annoying ken sato who you would never admit admired, not even on your deathbed, stepped closer to you, leaned down near your ear, and said in the loudest voice, loud enough so that you cant mishear him, and quiet enough that no one else can, says
"why dont i show you?"
if your composure was a ship, it would be near the ocean floor, the reason for sinkage; ken sato. right when your last functioning braincell is able to deliver a quip before total failure, someone calls kenji over. "you have a interview remember?" it yelled. "coming!" he smiled sweetly, kissing your cheek ever so softly.
the immature baseball player might not be as immature as you thought...
(thanks for the support on the last one, so i thought i'd write another one because im desperate for this man, like he's desperate for the reader, lowk. also i didnt fully proofread itmso sorry if skme names r missing colors and whatnot)

Love Guard | Lee Chan
Description. Lifeguard Lee Chan is a pain in your ass, and you swear he's only picked up this job to ogle at girls in bikinis. Little did you know, the only girl he wants to look at is you â not that you'd ever let him tell you that though â Especially now that you're convinced he's in love with your co-worker.
Pairing. Lifeguard!Lee Chan x Lifeguard! Fem Reader
Warnings. Curse words, (Pretend) Drowning, Karina attempts to meddle, Fluff, Chan's so whipped, Swimming, E2L (One sided)
Word count. 9.2k (Oops?)
Note: Summer has been over but I couldn't help myself! Welcome to my first Seventeen fic! Not 100% sure if I like this one but feedback is always appreciated!
"Two weeks." You repeat to yourself, attempting to calm yourself by digging your fingers into the squishy material of the rescue tube you have strapped on. Only two weeks left until the local waterpark is closed for the year â and until you have to look for another job â but the point remains a positive one.
In exactly two weeks from now, you will be freed from your own personal hell in human form, otherwise known as Lee Chan. Even when he's not stationed at the same ride as you, he's always finding his way over in your general proximity, just like he is now.
He's chatting up a few girls who look gorgeous in their tight fighting bikini sets, and you just about scoff at how obvious he is. You and Karina are set at the wave pool right now, and you feel bad for whatever station Chan is supposed to be manning. Does he ever do his job?
Karina quirks her head, her long ponytail falling to her side. "I heard he was supposed to be with the flow rider."
Ah yes the flow rider, the stationary surfing machine that tiny children and older adults alike swear they can do. You've only had to operate it once, and let's just say you complained so much you never had to do it again. Just this once, you can understand why he wandered over to the other side of the park.
"Vernon probably took over and kicked him out." You shrug, knowing how serious the older male takes his job.
"I hope so." Your friend giggles, patting your shoulder as she walks away. You notice her hand on the whistle, she must've spotted a few kids running again, nothing out of the ordinary.
A few feet away, Chan is just about whining into these poor girls ears. He smirks at them. âIs she looking this way?â
The girl on his left â whose name Chan hasn't caught â glances over her shoulder and then turns back. âSheâs not, sheâs watching the pool.â
One of the other girls snorts. âLooks like sheâs doing her job.â
"That makes one of us." Chan slumps dramatically before an idea pops into his head. (The girls swear they could see a lightbulb above his head in that moment).
Chan swivels into the water after he stood to his feet, the others awaiting his revelation. "Okay, I'm going to need one of you to pretend you're drowning."
"Drowning?!" The blonde girl's jaw drops. Chan doesn't see why he has to explain it though. They would simply pretend they were drowning, he'd jump in all heroic like, and save them. And in the process, you'd notice and commend him for being so cool.
Chan was a genius, he nodded to himself.
So after explaining the plan to girl's that he had just met today, well about twenty minutes ago, he's ready to get this show on the road. He's lucky the girls felt bad for him after he gave the typical sob story on how his crush hated him. Otherwise, they probably wouldn't have agreed.
The blonde girl submerges herself into the water, on purpose, as Chan prepares to take action. But first, he had to take his shirt off. Oh don't act so shocked, he's literally trying to get your attention! He's not above showing a little skin!
You don't even notice though, too preoccupied with watching some children jump on each other. You approach them and politely tell them to not attempt to kill each other under the water. You didn't even think that needs to be said but, this job surprised you every day.
However, the minute you turn around, you notice some arm's flailing around in the water. It was the area where Chan was just standing, but he's nowhere to be found now. Shit! You were going to have to act, and fast!
So you dive into the water, peeling your eyes open in the chlorine to find the girl. You reach her in record time, using your rescue buoy to grab her and pull her out. You lay her on the concrete, shaking her shoulders and gaining no response.
"Someone get me an AED!" You shout, preparing to begin CPR. Karina rushes to your side, asking any bystanders if they knew what happened and trying to gain more information about the situation. Thank goodness for her.
A crowd begins to form around you as you recall the CPR process in your head, ready to begin when you're abruptly shoved out of the way.
"I got it!" Chan explains, seemingly appearing out of nowhere. You're too stunned to reply so you just let him take the lead, watching his next moves in silence.
He barely starts to push on her chest when her eyes shoot open, and she begins coughing up imaginary water. You're a bit suspicious, but this was your first time dealing with an unconscious victim, guess you'd just been lucky so far.
She sits up as she starts talking, waving her hands around. "Don't call 9-1-1 or anything! I'm fine!"
Karina leans forward. "Are you sure?"
"Yes!" The girl replies, before easily standing to her feet as she rushes out, her friends following behind her. They didn't even have their shoes on?
Chan watches them in defeat as you and Karina silently gape at each other. The girl had run away steadily, no signs of being disoriented for someone who had just been unconscious. It did all happen so fast though, maybe you weren't seeing things right.
Karina is the first to stand. "What just happened?"
You shake your head, your now wet hair dripping on you. "I don't even know."
Chan doesn't look as confused as you two though, but never mind that, you had a bone to pick with him first.
"And where the hell were you?"
Chan barely registers you speaking to him, as he's mentally recounting how his plan went awry. "I was getting my CPR keychain."
You want to bang your head against the ground. "You didn't have it on you?"
Hey, give him a break. He's human too! He forgets things sometimes, it can't be that bad! However, if he was going to convincingly look like he was saving the girl earlier, he had to have his keychain on him. Which is why he ran off looking for it...
"I left it in my locker." He mutters, rubbing the back of his neck.
"God, just put a shirt on Lee." You stand to your feet. "And please do us all a favor and stay in your station."
"So you acknowledge that you checked me out?"
You deadpan. "I acknowledge that you make my job harder because an old woman almost slipped on the shirt you threw off!"
Had he really thrown his shirt? He didn't even notice, your wording had to be a bit exaggerated.
You cross your arms as you head back to the other side of the pool, back into your comfy life guard chair. And preferably, as far away from Lee Chan as possible.
..
"Then he shows up like some fucking hero and interferes with me doing my job!" You state sarcastically, slipping your sweatshirt on as you stand by your locker. Screwing the cap back onto your water bottle, you sigh.
Minghao, your close friend who you never managed to get stationed with, just listens in mild amusement. "But he saved the girl, right?"
You shake your head as you gather your things. "I don't know if you could call it saving. It was weird, she just up and ran off."
Minghao giggles. "Are you sure she was drowning?"
"If I didn't know any better, I'd say no." You admit, the jingling of a lanyard behind you catching your attention.
"Okay, I'm heading out." Karina says as she holds her bag over her shoulders. Your brain is too busy trying to configure how she looks so cute after a full day at work. You were sure you looked as worn-out as you felt.
"MIngyu's still around here somewhere. And Seungkwan and Chan are still in the back, I saw them fighting with the pool nets." Karina continues, referring to the long wands used to skim the pools for bugs and dirt. Or worse, fecal matter.
Thankfully, that's usually not the case. Nevertheless, you're grateful that wasn't your job today. You did have to lock up though, meaning that you had to get the aforementioned boys up and out.
"I'll get Minghao to yell at them." You nod, and Minghao just laughs.
Back at the pool, Chan is currently shuffling his brain for another plan, one that won't fail this time. Honestly, it probably made you more angry at him than anything. "I have two weeks Kwan."
Seungkwan rolls his eyes. "Oh God."
"Two weeks to make her mine." Chan repeats, rubbing his eyes.
"You're delusional." His friend replies, picking up his own pool stick and heading to the main area. "Why don't you start with something simple, like driving her home first."
Chan perks up at that. "Wait, that's actually a pretty good idea!"
"Actually?" Seungkwan starts, but Chan is already racing past him, pool cleaning long forgotten. Though the older male still shouts after him. "I always have great ideas!"
Chan mentally prepares himself on the way there, stopping by one of the outside mirrors in the kids splash area to check his hair. Looking good, he thought.
"Hey," Chan speaks, approaching you and Minghao as he tries not to give the latter a death stare. He could never figure out what kind of relationship the two of you had, and that made him uneasy. Not that you owed him an explanation or anything, but it'd be nice to get some clarification.
All he knew was that you and Minghao applied for this job together and you'd been friends for a while. Chan also knew you spent your lunch breaks together at the snack bar, courtesy of his friend Mingyu's spying, and he knew he took you home everyday.
But those could all just be friendly gestures, right?
You ignore Chan's presence as you turn to close up your locker, not bothering to acknowledge him. Minghao does though, "You heading home?"
"Yeah, actually." Chan responds, eyes never leaving your figure. He calls out your name, to which you roll your eyes to. "What?"
He stands up straight, slightly puffing his chest out in an attempt to appeal more to you. Was it working? Probably...Not. "Can I drive you home?"
"Not a chance." You shoot down immediately, not a hint of hesitance in your voice. Oh, that was fast. But Chan knew this wasn't gonna be easy after all.
"I'll buy you food on the way." He offers, clinging to his last ounce of self respect before he gets on the floor to start begging. He was not above that when it came to you.
You cross your arms. "Are you insinuating that I can't buy my own food?"
Of course things were going this way, "That's not what I-"
You put a hand up to stop him, smirking. "Because you're right, this stupid job doesn't pay me nearly as much as I'd like."
Chan stays quiet, unsure of what to say next. Luckily, you continue for him, all in a condescending tone though. "Whatever Lee. Even though you're probably doing this just to feel better about yourself for being such an asshole all the time, I'll bite."
Minghao grimaces, had you always been this harsh? Well, he knows the younger male did you piss you off more than usual today. He knows in his rational brain that he probably shouldn't let this happen. But will he? Yeah.
Minghao gently grabs your arm. "Call me when you get home, okay?"
"Of course." You reply, and Chan watches you flash a smile reserved for your friends only. He knows that because never once had you directed that smile at him. This was soon to change, or so help him.
"You can go ahead, I'll get 'Kwan and lock up." Minghao nods and you thank him.
Chan's just about losing his mind though, Minghao was on a nickname basis with Seungkwan? What the hell? Did Seungkwan not know that Minghao was enemy number one ?! He had some words for him later.
Right now though, his main focus was you. Even in the horrible florescent lighting of the locker room, he thought you looked beautiful.
You, on the other hand, were getting the ick from seeing Kim Mingyu walk around with flip flops. That was going to be hard to move on from.
Just to be clear, you really weren't interested in relationships right now. And yes, you and Minghao were just friends, strictly platonic. However, with on slow days, you liked to occupy yourself with staring at Mingyu's prominent muscles. And honestly, who could blame you?
Chan redirects your attention to him. "So, where to?"
You roll your eyes. "You were the one who invited me out, and you don't know where we're going?"
He looks down. "McDonalds?"
So that's how you two end up in the drive-thru of the famous golden arches. Chan has a million thoughts running through his head, the main one being how he managed to get you in his car, willingly!
In another universe, Chan imagined that this would be your first date. He'd make you laugh, hold your hand, and maybe even get a kiss at the end of the night.
"Should I get a Coke or a Sprite?" You speak to yourself, pulling Chan out of his thoughts.
He straightens his posture. "Oh you should-"
"I wasn't actually asking." You roll your eyes, already mentally having decided in your head.
Chan shuts his mouth.
"You know, I'm really interested in hearing why you invited me out of a sudden." You say, leaning your head against his car window.
Chan's scrambling for the words. "I just wanted to talk."
"About?"
Chan breathes in, here goes nothing. "Well, we only have a few weeks left working at the park, and I kind of.. like this girl."
You narrow your eyes, knowing where this was going. "Oh lord, did you really drag me all this way to try to get me to set you up with Karina?"
Chan's eyes widen. What?! How did you get to that conclusion. Chan barely knew the other girl, much less liked her. In all honesty, he barely even paid her any mind, always too preoccupied with staring at you by her side. He rushes to deny it. "No-"
"You don't have to lie." You speak, rolling your eyes. "You took me here on a bribe so I could put in a good word with you."
Chan's so confused right now.
"Sorry but I think Karina's worth more than whatever you're getting me on the dollar menu." You spout sarcastically. "And anyways, why would I help set her up with you?"
Now, Chan has to speak up, because really? Was he that bad that you couldn't even imagine setting him up with a friend ? He's mildly offended, even if he could care less about her. It's more so that he's utterly infatuated with you, and he can't believe you don't see him as possible boyfriend material. "Huh? What's wrong with me?"
You narrow your eyes. "Well, for starters you're broke, lazy, and irresponsible. Oh, and stupid, immature, full of yourself-"
You were really laying it on thick, and Chan doesn't think he can take anymore stabs at his character without possibly jumping out of his car window. He interrupts, "Anything else?"
"I wasn't even done yet." You stop counting on your fingers. "Point is, you're not good enough for Karina."
He doesn't even care about who you're talking about anymore, he throws his hands up. "You don't even know that, you've never seen me on a date." Because you've never given me a chance, but he only speaks that last part in his head.
"I've seen your everyday character, that says more than enough."
Chans on the verge of ramming the car in front of him in line. "So what kind of guy would be good enough?"
You shrug. "Probably someone like Joshua."
"The manager?" Chan draws back, because were you referring to Karina's taste or yours? He was so lost right now. "He's like way too old."
You click your tongue. "I said someone like him. He's smart, soft-spoke, responsible, and he knows how to deal with conflict."
Chan grips his steering wheel. Yes, Joshua had his life together, but that's because he was older! Was that really what you were into? Chan might as well throw in the towel now. "It sounds like you want someone like Joshua."
"Maybe, I don't know."" You cross your arms in thought. "Well, he's kind of boring, can't be much fun dating someone like that."
So there is a drawback to perfectly stunning men like Joshua, or was he just saying that to make himself feel better? He'd have to ask Seungkwan for advice tomorrow. "Well-"
"Whenever you're ready." A voice takes over through the intercom. Chan hadn't realized he had already pulled up this far.
He didn't even know what he wanted, in fact this whole conversation made his stomach turn. Was he even hungry anymore?
However, you knew exactly what you wanted. But Chan's silent by the intercom so you do the only feasible thing to do, you unbuckle your seatbelt and lean over him. Climbing past the center console, you throw your body halfway out of the window and start reciting your order.
Unbeknownst to you, the male in the car with you was losing his mind. Why were you so close to him? Why did you smell so good? Why was your body basically on top of his (You aren't touching at all)? And Why did this feel so intimate?
You turn to him, still in the same position. "What do you want?"
Chan's face is red, and he's trying his best to stay cool, avoiding eye contact. "A burger."
"Which one?"
Poor guy can't think straight. "The normal one?"
You sigh, turning back towards the speaker. "And a Big Mac."
"I think Chan likes you." You speak, seeking refuge from the scorching hot summer sun under the tiny roof peeking out from the food stand.
Karina sips on her slushie, that's halfway melted, and grimaces. "No way."
You offer a tight lipped smile before shooting her glare. "Don't give me that look! Who wouldn't like you?"
Karina laughs. "It's not that I don't think he'd like me, it's that he doesn't."
"And how are you so sure?" You ask, adjusting the straw on your own slushie.
"Um, okay one, he's never held a conversation with me for longer than two minutes." She starts, placing her cup on the counter. Trying her best to stop the syrup from getting her hands all sticky.
You digress though. "That's because you make him nervous!"
"Two, we barely know each other."
"You haven't given him a chance." You tease, unaware of prying ears listening to your conversation. Give you a break though, honestly, it was too hot for all of this.
"Where did you even get this idea from?" She inquires in disbelief.
"Last night when he took me to McDonalds."
Karina's jaw goes slack. "You voluntarily went somewhere with him outside of work?"
Guess you had forgotten to mention that, oops. "He bribed me with food."
She narrows her eyes, suspicious but moving on anyways. "And then he told you he liked me?"
"No," You answer truthfully. "But he didn't deny it."
Karina shakes her head. "I think you're just desperate for some cute lifeguard-love-story to shake things up around here, and it's not going to work on me."
You giggle. "Whatever you say."
"You could have your own story if you just asked out Minghao already." She suggests meekly, despite knowing your constant insistence that there was nothing going on between you two.
"That's gross, I think I just threw up in my mouth."
"Yeah, I know." She teases before lowering her voice so only you can hear, and her eyes dart over to Mingyu making a hot dog. "But you could finally strike something up with mister beef cake over here."
You roll your eyes. "He's too hot for me, half the park wants him."
"He gives you free food."
You hush your friend. "He gives everyone free food!"
"You win this battle." Karina says, trashing her finished cherry drink. "But the war is far from over."
"Get back to your post, Yoo." You sigh, cleaning up the mess your melting treats made with a few napkins and discarding them.
Mingyu comes back to the front where you are after noticing you were alone, "Going back?"
You groan. "Unfortunately my break is over."
He offers a small chuckle, and all you think about is how good he looks. Especially since he's donning a sleeveless red shirt, matching the parks general colors, and you can see his arms in their full glory. No wonder you'd heard girls in passing giggle about how they wanted to take a bite out of the food stand guy, you saw the appeal.
Why couldn't he be a lifeguard? Just saying, it would be nice to see him without a pesky shirt sometimes. Oh you were so embarrassing.
"Have you seen Hao? I wanted to talk to him about something?" The male inquires but you shake your head.
"He called in today," You stand. "Said he felt sick, or some other kind of lie."
"He's not sick?"
"Judging by his Instagram stories on a boat?" You quirk your head. "I'd say no."
MIngyu laughs at your humor, and you're flashing that pretty smile again, and Mingyu's feeding right into it. Are you two flirting?!
Chan hates it!
Not your smile, no he could never hate your smile. But he hates how he's never once gotten to see it aimed at him. Yet here you were, chatting it up with Mingyu? Did the nuggets he bought you last night mean nothing? He thought they were a great symbol of his undying love for you!
Vernon looks unimpressed. "Stare at him any longer and you might just burn a hole through him."
Chan narrows. "That's the plan"
Vernon's bored. "Okay, this is getting weird."
"I just don't get it, what does she even see in guys like Joshua? Or Mingyu?" Chan crosses his arms.
"Maybe because they do their job-" Vernon tries to get his station partners attention back.
But Chan's having none of it. "Yeah right, look at Mingyu! He's flirting on duty!"
"He just runs the food stand, in his defense. Half the time isn't he helping you spy on her and Minghao?"
"Well it seems like he's playing for the other team right now, standing there and talking to my girl!"
"Your girl." Vernon repeats, shaking his head in disbelief as he mocks the younger male. "You're ridiculous."
Chan stays rooted in his place. "I can't even believe-"
"Hey, Chan right?" A voice plucks him out of his plotting to kill Mingyu (Okay, maybe killing was extreme, but at the very least he was going to jump him. Eh, that might be a little too much as well, he was still technically Chan's friend. Maybe he could-)
Oh wait, someone was talking to him, and he should probably respond. "Yeah that's me."
"Oh, well I'm Karina." The girl introduces herself as Chan finally gets to take a look at her. He knew who she was, everyone did, but the two had rarely a few words to each other before now, if anything.
He adjusts his sunglasses, eyes barely moving from you and Mingyu. He had to make sure Mingyu didn't try anything. This was a matter of national security! "Nice to meet you, I guess"
"What's up Karina?" Vernon asks, trying to break up this weird tension as he saw how Chan effectively ignored you.
Karina places her hand on her hip. "I'll just be straight forward, someone told me that Chan had a little thing for me, but I know that's not the case, even though she's entirely convinced."
Chan's irritated. "What?"
"I'm not blind, Chan." Karina raises a brow. "I know you have a crush on her."
"Well yeah, could he be more obvious?" Vernon snidely remarks as Chan does his best to ignore his comment.
"So," Chan looks down, slightly dissapointed. "Did you come just to make fun of me?"
"No," She leans forward. "I've decided I'm gonna help you."
"Help?" Chan's taken back as he snaps his head up.
"Help?" Vernon parrots, though he sounds more confused.
She smiles. "Yup"
"Why?"
Karina stares at her perfectly manicured nails. "You're a decent guy. Good looking, nice enough, and I know you're trying your best."
Chan blinks, this was the complete opposite of what you had told him. Karina continues, "But mostly, it's because I can tell you really like her. And I think she deserves someone that'll treat her well for once."
"Well give it up," Chan sighs, wiping sweat from his brow. "Mingyu's about to propose to her anyways."
"Mingyu's not doing anything," Karina moves her hair. "He been standing there like a dweeb the whole time, completely oblivious to everyone around him."
"And she still likes him more than me."
Your friend glares at the male. "Well this isn't going to work if you're going to be so negative."
"Karina," He turns to her. "Honestly, what's the point? She wants nothing to do with me."
"Because she's blind, she can't see how much you like her."
"So, what should we do?" Vernon pipes in, surprisingly intently following the situation.
"We have to prove to her how much you like her!"
"And how can I do that?"
"Don't worry, I have that part covered."
...
"And then he threw up right next to the trashcan." Jeonghan â one of the new hires â finishes venting to you about one of the kids on the waterslide he was manning.
"Swear there should be some kind of law forbidding kids from eating four hotdogs and then getting on a ride that sends you spinning." You sympathize.
"Or people could just have more common sense." Jeonghan comments, before his eyes drift off somewhere else. "Is that Karina talking to Chan?"
Your eyes widen as you try to follow his line of sight. "What? Where?"
"Over there." Jeonghan points with his head, towards the bathrooms.
Sure enough, leaning on the bricks outside the bathrooms, was your friend talking to Lee Chan. Had he finally gained the courage to talk to her? And oh no, was she actually reciprocating?
"I didn't know they were friends." Jeonghan breaks the silence.
"They're not." You raise a brow. "I think he likes her."
Jeonghan looks at you like you've grown three heads. "You're joking right?"
You shrug, "Why would I be joking?"
"Everyone knows that he-" Your friend stops himself before waving you off. "Never mind, you wouldn't believe me anyways."
"Believe what?"
Jeonghan snickers. "Nothing."
You're eager to press on more about whatever he was talking about but the manager, Joshua, asks if you and Jeonghan can get showered already so you can all head out.
By the bathrooms, Chan's about to start throwing a fit. "She looked over here once!"
Karina pats his shoulder lightly. "We'll get her next time. For now, I'll just have to feed her a great narrative of you until she realizes she wants you for herself."
Chan looks down. "This is hopeless."
"Holy shit, where is Chan?" Minghao complains, but you show no sympathy as he was seemingly having the time of his life yesterday.
You shrug, adjusting the strap of the bathing suit you had just put on. "Don't know, don't care."
Your friend tsks. "At least we get out early today."
You shake your head. "Doesn't matter, Joshua's forcing us into that work bonding thing."
MInghao groans, resting his forehead against the steel locker. "I forgot about that, what's the point again? We've had plenty of time to bond already."
"It's mandatory if we want that last paycheck." You remind him and he sighs.
He grabs a bottle from his locker and uncaps it. "Can you put sunscreen on me?"
You nod, it was a normal occurrence, and usually no one batted an eye. Even as you rubbed it into his face, too close for it to be considered just friendly, you know it's all platonic.
Chan on the other hand, isn't so sure.
Him and Karina were walking up the gravel path and the scene hits him before he walks into the area. "H-He's rubbing sunscreen on her back!"
Karina tries to calm him. "They do that for each other all the time."
"Then why does it look so romantic!"
"You're overthinking!"
"Seungkwan rubs my sunscreen in! Why don't you do it for her?!"
"I always get here late!" She defends. "Anyways, this isn't about me, we need to get in there!"
You're instantly drawn to Karina and Chan loudly entering, and it seems the two have gotten close over the past few days.
"Hey guys," Minghao greets and they offer him a hello back before opening their lockers.
"Chan," Karina speaks louder than her normal volume as to draw your attention. "Could you help me put on sunscreen? Can't reach my back today."
Chan nods, grabbing the bottle from her hands and slowly helping her rub it in. He wants to make sure you looking too, and how he's one hundred percent sure he can do it better than Minghao can.
"Uh Rina," You speak before you all head out.
"Yes?" She responds, hoping for you to say something about Chan.
"You have a couple white streaks on your back." And you grimace at Chan's poor job of doing something as simple as rubbing sunscreen in. "Do you want me to-"
"No! No," Karina laughs at her outburst. "Um, I'm sure Chan can help me fix it."
You almost flinch.
"Right, Chan?" Your friend grits her teeth so the male could take the hint.
"Oh, right!" He catches on and then vigorously continues to rub the cream into her skin. He's a little too aggressive with it.
"Ow- um, okay!" She lets out. "I think I'm good now."
You stop, "Okay..."
Chan scurries off, and he realizes he actually needs to get his own swim trunks on, and for heavens sake, where is his first aid whistle?!
You two walk away, you picking at your nails as you dread the day ahead. Your friend needs to break the silence. "So, you're staying today?"
"I wish I had a choice." You grovel.
"I feel you."
You catch the time on one of the parks various clocks. "We open in five."
Your partner nods at the reminder, continuing to with you just out of the sight of the boys and any other listeners. "So, what do you think of Chan? Isn't he sweet?"
You're taken aback. "Is this you trying to get my approval?"
"No.."
"Because you could do way better."
She almost stops in her tracks. "What?! But Chan has lots of redeeming qualities."
You feel like this is a prank. "Like?"
"Well he's nice, a good listener, and-"
"Oh, you got it bad." You interrupt.
She's about to start swinging. "No, you know he's not my type."
You frown. "So you're leading him on?"
Karina deadpans. "We're just friends, but all I'm saying is, uh, he's not a bad guy!"
You almost stop walking. "Right..."
She speaks again, trying her best not to seem pushy. "You know, I think the two of you have a lot in common, you could be good friends."
Before you can even respond, someone is yelling your name across the park, and its too early in the morning for that.
Though your face softens when you realize its Mingyu beckoning you over. You tell Karina you'll meet her at your station and separate. She was acting kind of odd anyhow.
"Mingyu," You approach him, the shade now concealing your face as you take a seat on one of the chairs. You try to keep your eyes from wandering, mainly to his exposed arms. "What's up?"
He smiles' bashfully, leaning on the counter. "Well, I've been wanting to ask you this for some time,"
You can sense he's a little nervous, so you nod your head. "What is it?"
"Could I maybe..." He trails again, before closing his eyes in mental preparation. "Have Karina's number?"
You gape like a fish out of water, doing your best to conceal your light disappointment. "K-Karinas number?"
"Well yeah, I'm interested in her. Unless she's seeing someone." He stumbles on his words.
You tilt your head. "Not sure, maybe you should ask Chan."
"Chan?" Mingyu almost laughs. "He doesn't like her like that."
You grimace at that. Had Chan been telling everyone that he didn't like Karina, when clearly he had been acting the opposite? Sure, she didn't like him back but, for him to be saying things like that was a low blow. "Did he tell you that?"
"Huh, what?" Mingyu looks confused. "Well, not directly. Though, It wouldn't make sense because he already likes someone."
You wave him off. "Doesn't matter, either way, you should ask her yourself. I really can't give you her number on my behalf." You explain, feeling kind of bad, but keeping a peppy voice.
"You think she'd give it to me?"
You smile. "You'll never know if you don't try."
Watching, once again, a few feet await is Lee Chan. He's using all his self control not to rip the foam tube in his hands apart, but Vernon brings him back to earth, or more like back to helping him tie up the obstacle course in one of the pools.
Even as he's experiencing red-hot jealously from watching you interact with his friend, he can't help but admire how pretty you were. You somehow managed to make that stupid visor look cute. And trust me, Chan thought no one could make that hat look cute.
If Chan was anyone else, he probably would've given up on his painful crush by now, but Chan wasn't anyone. He's not sure where his liking for you started, maybe it was that first day you joined. Looking all pretty as you stood next to Minghao and introduced yourself. Chan had overheard from Joshua that you had impressive swim skills, and you had a crazy dedication for your job.
It was a few weeks before he even got to interact with you. You were pretty much attached at your friends hip, taking a minute to warm up to the others. You had gotten partnered with Karina for a ride once and she helped you get along with the rest of the staff pretty well.
That's not how you first knew of Chan though.
No, that was a while later. One hot day a few years ago, when Chan was still scrawny and more awkward with girls. He had finally had a chance to grab a slushie, opting for the purple mystery flavor that rested in the machines. (Chan thinks it was a result of a machine that hadn't been cleaned, so it really just tasted like a mixture of all the flavors.) Anyways, he happened to be in a hurry due to him chatting with Mingyu for well over his break.
Which meant he booked it to the other side of the park.
Which consequentially meant that he wasn't watching where he was going. This meant that his slushie met an unfortunate end on your lifeguard bathing suit. And all over the floor.
Now, you were testing patience at the time. This was a new job, plus it was an accident, you could forgive the guy. You also didn't mind that he was pretty cute.
That was until he ran.
Look, in Chan's defense, you made him so nervous. You were so much prettier up close! He stood there frozen for a few minutes, stuttering and thinking of ways to apologize. So he did the only viable thing to do, he ran to the bathrooms to fetch napkins!
Only, he didn't say a word so you thought he literally just ran off to avoid conflict - which wasn't even happening in the first place!
After that, you dubbed Lee Chan someone to avoid. He obviously left you in a mean spirited haste, a deep purple stain blotched all on the front of your uniform. You figured he had a good laugh about it too!
Chan regrets it everyday, why didn't he just act like a normal human?! Why did he have to make things harder for himself?!
By the time Chan had returned, you were long gone. You had ran to the bathroom on the verge of tears, basically abandoning your post and leaving Minghao to run after you.
So if anyone asked, you'd say that your distaste for Lee Chan was completely valid.
...
"Great work today team." Joshua addresses you all, clapping his hands together before placing them on his hips. "I'm really proud of you all today."
"Which is why you should let us go home." Jeonghan pipes up from behind you in the cluster of a group, smiling hopefully.
Joshua laughs sarcastically. "But then you'd miss all the fun!"
The smile dies on Jeonghans face as Joshua starts recanting the same little group seminar tips he gave last year. And the year before that.
Then he waves a hand out. "I've noticed that there's been some tension on the team lately, so we're going to heal that with some bonding time!"
Karina stiffens beside you, leaning in to whisper. "I'm already bored."
You giggle a bit as Joshua starts pairing up teams for an obstacle course through the park. Normally, you wouldn't care, that was until Joshua cited a twenty five dollar Starbucks gift card awarded to the winner. Oh, he had your attention now.
"Karina, I know you don't talk to Jeonghan a lot so you're with him!" Joshua says esthetically, while you sigh at losing two possible partners. Well, there was still Hao.
"Minghao and Vernon."
Well there goes that.
You finally are graced with the call of your name but are immediately shot back down to earth when the accompanying name leaves your managers lips. "..And Chan."
You immediately step up in protest. "Are we allowed to switch partners?"
Chan frowns but regains a bit of hope as Joshua shakes his head. "Nope, sorry but I have to be firm with this. In fact, you two are the tension I was referring to earlier."
"Are you kidding?"
Joshua narrows his eyes, gripping his clipboard. "Do I look like I'm kidding?"
"Joshua, with all due respect, there is no tension! It's just Chan being an idiot!" You complain, widening your eyes.
Ouch, Chan thinks. That went straight to his ego.
Though your boss stands his ground. "I would just like you two to work together for once."
You scoff, muttering a string of curses under your breath which Joshua pretends not to hear, Chan does as well. For the sake of his pride.
Your manager finishes reading the names off of the paper and announces the commencement of the challenge, which you could be less than excited about.
"For this activity, one of you is going to be blindfolded. This will help strengthen the trust you two have in each other."
Trust? You and Chan just looked at each other after you were handed the blindfold. You didn't even know what the objective of the game was yet.
"Part of this activity is deciding who will be blindfolded amongst yourselves." Joshua continues, rubbing salt into the wound.
"Well-" You begin, about to start arguing when Chan holds his hand out. He can see that you're definitely uncomfortable with the idea.
"I'll be blindfolded." He states.
"What?" He wasn't even going to fight you on it? "Really?"
He shrugs, trying to will his face from not turning red. "I trust you."
You blankly stare for a minute, trying to read a hint of humor or anything of that sort in his eyes. But you come up empty, his expression dead serious. You just handed him the blindfold, leaving him to fend for himself as he tied it around his eyes.
What did he mean he trusted you?
Karina finishes tying Jeonghan's when she turns back to your boss. "Now what?"
"You're going to lead them through the water course," Joshua smiles, although it seems a bit mischievous. He had to be getting a kick out of this. "The ones that come out first, and the most dry, win."
You gape, you were supposed to lead this grown ass man through the water course and not let him fall in?
"Lead your partner to the starting position, and then we'll begin."
You do a steady job at pushing at Chan's back to the finish line. You're less than enthusiastic about it though.
You line up among the others, knowing you'll probably come out of this ordeal soaking wet, and that's less than desirable.
The course is simple, lined up floating fuzzy blocks paced in a pathway like structure. Then you have to follow up a little climb of inflatable stairs. Then back down to the finish line. Easy enough right?
Chan's shaking right now, he's not looking forward to falling in and possibly being left to drown â as if he's not in the prescence of a group of lifeguards right now â as if he's not one himself.
He's still scared though, give him a break, he can't see!
He hears the sound of a whistle and you begin pushing at his back, leading him onto the first block. The weight of you two displaces the block, and you can feel the other block getting further.
"Okay, move about two inches onto the next block, don't fall." You instruct him and he follows, waving his foot around until he feels the safety of the makeshift ground.
You jump onto it after him, "The next one is directly in front."
And you're pleased as he lands right on it. The two of you are ahead of some of the others as well, Seungkwan already having fallen into the water, and Vernon still on the first block as Minghao tries to encourage him to move already!
"The next one is far, so I'm going to go ahead of you. I'll grab your hand after and pull you, alright?" You explain and Chan nods.
You do as you said and then hold your hand out, grabbing his palm and pulling him so the blocks float closer together. He carefully makes the step and you cheer a little in your head.
You only had one more block, then the stairs, and you were home free. You could practically taste your drink now.
Well, maybe if Chan hadn't almost fell over.
You grab both of his arms in an attempt to stop him, and you catch him just in time. He winces at the prospect of falling, and you squeeze him. "I'm not going to let you fall, okay? I've got you."
Chan's glad he can't see you, because then he'd bear witness to you noticing the growing redness of his face. And if he had to acknowledge it, then he'd jump into the water himself.
You two successful make it to the last block and you cheer, the others having more trouble with their team work behind you. The others seem to be having a hard time due to lack of trust in their guiders.
You notice that Chan had trusted completely in everything you had said, even though you knew he didn't want to splash in the pool.
You stare at him for a minute, and he starts talking. "Uhh, aren't we supposed to keep moving"
You shake your thoughts from your head. "Up the stairs now, I'll lead you, just hold my hand."
Before you know it, the two of you had made it to the end. You take off Chan's blindfold as you announce your victory. Throwing your arms around Chan as you celebrate. "We won! We beat those suckers."
"Those suckers are right here!" Karina says, panting as she comes down the stairs. She's wet, pulling a much dryer Jeonghan behind her.
You keep your hands around Chan as Karina explains. "He stepped back on the block and basically pushed me off on accident."
You giggle at that, face on a few inches from Chan as he tries not to combust. Lord, he was so in love with you. Your pretty eyes as they crinkled while you let out the prettiest laugh.
Karina notices and she lets out a smile. He really did like you, anyone could see it in his eyes.
You don't notice though, sliding your hands off of Chan as you jokingly tease Karina. "I won the card! I won the card."
Jeonghan pulls off his blindfold just in time for you to see him roll his eyes. "Yeah, yeah."
Chan insisted you made a night of spending the card together. You didn't mind, telling him you'd meet him there after your much needed shower.
So here you sat in the Starbucks lobby, awaiting Chan as you had the card and he had already passed you his order. You tapped away on your phone as you hear the chime of the door and you hear someone sitting across from you.
You don't mind his presence, weirdly, you felt he was really vulnerable with you today. While it likely didn't mean much to him, it had you overthinking everything.
"Here's your drink, it just came out." You speak first, pushing the cup towards him.
Chan thanks you and drums his fingers on the side of the cup. "You know, I think this is the longest we've been together without you saying you hate me or something."
You shrug. "It's hard to be mad in a Starbucks. Place smells like heaven, plus you showed out in the game today."
He waves you off. "It's easy to trust you, we've known each other for long."
You snort. "More like you've bothered me for so long."
"Oh, admit it. I make your job more interesting. If it wasn't for me constantly causing a scene then you'd be bored out of your mind."
"I guess you have a point." You reluctantly agree as you sip your drink.
He smirks. "I know."
You purse your lips. "So, any updates with Karina? I know you two have been spending time together lately. Seems I was wrong."
Chan sighs. "No, I'm not into her in that way."
Brows raised, you chuckle, asking a question you already knew the answer to. "She's not interested or?"
"No, and neither was I." He states, eyes meeting yours. "She was never the one I liked."
You don't know why but you stutter a bit. "S-She wasn't?"
Chan looks away. "If it had been her and I out there today, I would've fell into the water."
"What do you mean by that, Chan?"
"You know what I mean by that."
...
You'd been avoiding Chan for the past two days, even constantly buttering up Joshua so you could be on the opposite side of wherever Chan was. It was wrong, you know, but you couldn't help it.
You were a coward, you couldn't even think about acknowledging any feelings Chan had for you. You only had a week left until the end of Summer anyways. Maybe if you ignored it you could move on.
You couldn't like Chan, not after the years you spent disliking him. Sure, had he done anything else to make you increasingly upset? Well, no. And he did usually brighten up slow days with his presence. And he did leave random water bottles by your chair when he knew you were too busy to go get one yourself. (He didn't know you knew, you figured this was his way of trying to get on your good side after the ordeal, but you never forgave him)
That was another thing too, how could he say he liked you after purposefully trying to embarrass you? Sure, it was a while ago, but you never forgot.
You're brought back from your thoughts when Jeonghan speaks, "I'm sorry, your child is not tall enough to ride this ride. It's regulation."
In front of you was an increasingly stubborn woman and what seemed to be her child as she whined about rules you had nothing to do with. "This is ridiculous!"
"It's regulated by the city, ma'am." Jeonghan shrugs. "You can leave a comment card up front if you have a complaint."
She just scoffs and storms off, stomping loudly down the stairs with her child in tow. You'd never understand some people.
Jeonghan turns to you. "Been here the whole summer and I'm still not used to it."
"You never get used to it, trust me."
He laughs in response, before changing the subject. "It's quiet up here, usually Chan's in the general vicinity by now."
You stiffen at the name. "He must be busy."
"He's never too busy for you." Jeonghan crosses his arms.
You bite the inside of your cheek. "Too busy to bother me?"
He suddenly turns serious. "I don't understand, Chan is nothing but nice to you and yet you're always ratting on him like he's a pest."
"You don't get it." You say, hoping he'll drop it.
He doesn't though. "Sure, he's a little overbearing at times but it's only because he really likes you."
"Don't say that."
"Say what?"
"Say that he likes me."
"Are you stupid?" Jeonghan spouts, and you're shocked at his tone. "The poor guy looks at you like you hung the stars yourself and you always just brush him off like he's a nuisance! But you know what? Even after all the mean things you do, he does nothing but talk greatly about you. About how you're the kindest soul, about how your smile lights up his day. How you're the prettiest girl he's ever laid eyes on."
You stay quiet, holding back tears.
"He thinks you're the greatest girl in the world, you've just never given him a chance to tell you." He finishes, leaning against the railing.
"I don't believe you."
Jeonghan turns away. "Then you'll have to ask him yourself."
You open your mouth to speak, but it's as if your friend reads your mind. "I-"
"Go," He interrupts, jutting his chin in that direction. "Before it's too late. He's with Vernon at the flow rider."
You nod and take off down the stairs, mindful of the puddles of water on the floor, but your urgency remains the same. You had to know, you had to hear it from him. You need to know why.
It's not too far in the afternoon that there's a huge line, only a couple people standing around but Vernon's helping them. Chan stands to the side looking unoccupied, now was your chance.
Wading through the people, your heart beating against your chest, you find yourself standing in front of Chan.
He averts his eyes, unsure of how to start the conversation. He had gotten the message from your avoidance, you had made your point. "You want to, um, ride the flow rider or..?"
You clear your throat. "Do you like me?"
He leans back at the question. "I thought it was obvious."
"And this isn't a prank?"
He wipes his palms on his pants. "W-Why would it be a prank?"
"I don't know! How am I supposed to believe you after that slushie?" You say, genuinely distraught.
"What slushie?"
"The one you spilled on when I first got hired here! What kind of joke was that?" You ask, finally glad to let it out into the air after holding it in for so long.
"What do you mean? I ran off to get napkins and when I came back you were gone!" Chan answered, confused on why you even remembered that.
"You could've told me! I thought you had ran off to laugh at me!" You argued.
He stands, ignoring the attention you two had drawn from others. "I would've said something but I clammed up and didn't know what to say, you were just so pretty-"
You straighten up. "Chan, you're a moron."
He stills. "I know."
"I thought you were cute before then too. But I felt so embarrassed after that, I even had to pay for a new one because Joshua said someone took the spare."
Chans eyes soften. "I grabbed it for you, but as we know, I never got to give it to you."
You look down at the new information. "Oh."
"I like you, I really do." He begins. "I like a lot of things about you. Like your perseverance, your passion for this job, your love for your friends. Just one of these days I wished you would've talked to me long enough without ripping me apart."
"I'm a bit harsh, aren't I?"
"It's one of the things I like about you, you're not scared to put anyone in their place." He admits, and it was true. Chan liked all of you, not just your better qualities.
"This whole time I thought you were the jerk when really it was me." You remark, eyes on your shoes and the floor beneath you.
"I don't blame you, I'd hate me too." Chan chuckles.
You shake your head. "I don't hate you. In fact, these past few days have been so draining. As much as I complained, you gave me something to look forward too. Knowing I'd see you do something to get my attention, just didn't know why you wanted it so bad."
"Now you know." He steps forward. "And between you and I, I've done a lot of embarrassing things to get you to look my way."
"Oh, you did them on purpose?" You tease.
He playfully rolls his eyes. "Obviously."
You assured him that you believed him as you smiled. He grabs your hand in his, the two of you standing in the sweltering heat of the park. He rubs his thumb over your palm. "So what now?"
"Take me on a date."
"You want to?"
"I wouldn't say it if I didn't." You respond. "I want to give us a chance."
"You have no idea how happy I am to hear you say that."
BONUS:
"That bastard really did it." Seungkwan remarks, eyes bulging out of their sockets as he watches you and Chan flirt by the lockers before closing.
Karina stares on as well. "They're so cute that I want to throw up."
"Give them a break." Minghao butts in. "Today is the last day."
"Thank the Lord." Vernon approaches the others. "As if he couldn't get more annoying about her, I've had to hear him recount every date they've had so far."
Minghao cringes. "She's the same way."
Karina agrees. "I'm not even that bad."
Seungkwan looks over at her. "So how are thing with Mingyu anyways?"
Karina put her hands up. "Oblivious as always."
Shrugging, Minghao leans on the wall. "Should we just ditch them here and go?"
"But we haven't finished cleaning-" Jeonghan, who appeared out of nowhere starts before his voice dies down. "Yeah, lets go."
"They'll definitely be too in love to notice us leaving."
"For sure."

Shot in the spacious backyard of their Massachusetts home, YN and Jin finally shoot their very first TikTok video. Of course, it was YN who asked the other to do it since she found the videos she watched hilarious. So, some time between breakfast and afternoon, the couple walked out to their quiet backyard to do it. All while their twins have their nap.
"So, I'll describe you with something mean and you'll do the same thing?" Jin asked, stretching his right arm over his chest.
You nod, "Yeah, we'll basically roast each other. But we'll start with the phrase: The suspect is. You know, like when cops look for their suspects."
"Okay, bub. I'm ready," he replied, this time, rolling his shoulders.
Your eyebrow raised while watching him warm up his body. A routine he usually does before working out.
"Why are you acting like you're about to run a marathon?" you scoffed.
The first one to be shown in the camera is Jin, in his favorite green hoodie, running while your voice can be heard in the background.
"Suspect claims to be a responsible drinker but posted his personal cellphone number online when he was drunk." Giggles were in between your words when you said that.
Jin stopped, "That was years ago! It was one time."
You laughed as he defended himself, remembering the time you witnessed Jin's manager stressed out the morning after Jin shared his phone number through Instagram Stories while Jin was guiltily nursing his hangover. It was around the time you two were doing press junkets for your second movie.
"Suspect had a very public crush over a co-worker when she was fourteen."
Jin grinned as you stopped from jogging. Your jaw dropped while the cringy memories of your past came running back to you.
"Oh my god! Stop bringing that up. It's embarrassing."
Everyone knew that you loved musicals, especially the movie Hairspray with Zac Efron in it. So when you were younger, you were never shy about expressing your adoration for the actor, mentioning him in interviews in teen magazines and television talk shows a handful of times. He was kind enough to surprise you one time during your appearance in Ellen. You were telling a behind-the-scenes story to the host and audience when Zac quietly walked behind you and sat next to you. Everyone laughed at your flushed reaction when you realized who was sitting beside you. Your hands were even shaking when he introduced himself to you. Up until now, you still see GIFs and memes of your reaction online being used in various contexts.
Before moving to the next clip, your husband was heard whispering under his breath, "It's cute."
"Suspect thinks he is slick every time he's shy. His red ears always give it away!"
Jin stopped and laughed at that, so hard that his hands are on his knees. You didn't stop, zooming the camera to his ears that are slowly turning crimson red.
"See! See!"
"Suspect claims to be a writer but has three thousand unfinished drafts in her computer!"
You stopped in your tracks and slowly looked back at the camera. Staring, you crossed your arms while acting really offended by that. Jin laughed at your dramatic reaction.
"That was personal, Jinnie! How could you say that?" you shook your head, feigning disappointment. "Writer's block is a worldwide issue. You know, five out of five writers get affected by it. It's a real problem."
"Suspect acts so innocent but likes to be called---"
"No! No! No!"
Jin stopped you before you could even finish your sentence. His tone seemed panicked. The camera was later focused on the ground while you two were heard whispering.
"We cannot share that online, bubba. It would generate articles."
"It's not like it's a bad kin---"
It was cut off to the next clip.
"Suspect called me the wrong name during our first and second date."
This time, it's your turn to laugh so hard that you fall on your knees on the grass. Jin was also laughing after mentioning that time.
"It was two different names!" he added, making you laugh even more.
To be fair, the names were his characters' names in two different projects he worked on. One is for his Netflix series and the other was his character's name in your second movie together. It was an honest mistake by you since you were really tired at both times it happened. Jin too. You two would just sneak in your first few dates in between your tight schedules.
"The suspect cannot tell his children apart."
Your husband was clearly taken aback by that, maybe dramatically offended. Knowing it was true, he didn't even deny it.
"That was only a few times--"
"Specifically, nine times!" you counted, trying not to laugh.
His eyebrows raised as he crossed his arms, "It was those days when they wore the same matching clothes."
"One is a boy and a girl, Jin," you told him, reminding him that your twins wear different colors of the same type of clothes.
"They are identical twins, bubba. You know that I have bad facial recognition!" he whined like a kid while you laughed.
"Suspect ghosted everyone for almost two years."
Although you stopped jogging, you just put your wrists together like you are surrendering, willing to be handcuffed. You walked back to him as you spoke,
"The suspect is guilty. She said she regrets nothing over it. She is happy with the choices she made."
Jin smiled upon hearing that. He remembered you two talking about your plans to have a hiatus in the middle of your piling projects. It was after you learned you were pregnant. As soon as you made sure that you indeed were, you immediately thought about taking a break since you already had your priorities straight. It was not just a decision you made in the spur of the moment. It was something you promised to do before you even met Jin.
As someone who grew up in a complicated family, you wanted different things when starting your own. You were willing to literally drop everything, leaving movie projects that you were dreaming of working on.
Jin wanted to do the same thing, so he could be with you. But you encouraged him to just finish his remaining commitments at the time. He was in a more tangled situation since he already started filming for those projects and couldn't afford to stress everyone with a sudden leave.
"Oh, bubba. I love you." he whispered.
He was about to lean in to give you a kiss. But you spoke,
"I love you too, si--"
"No!"
You laughed as he walked back to your house, enjoying his flushed reaction over your jokes.

Cupid (S.R)
Plot: Our favorite Doutor confess feels to his best friend also co-worker, Y/N.
Pairing: Spencer Reid x BAUFem!Reader
Contents: Really quicky mention to drinks, cases, makeout but fluffy for sure.
A/N: hello readers, I disappeared for a year because of work and college and a serious health problem but I'm better than ever and coming back to writing has brought me back to life. I hope you like her because she's cute, a couple from a romance movie basically, so like and share if you like it.
"Alright, Spence. What are your thoughts on the woman over there in the dark green dress? She looks elegant, charming, and quite attractive. She might even share an interest in the books you enjoy, donât you think? Whatâs your take?" I gestured toward the woman who had just taken a seat at the bar, alone. I was on a mission to play matchmaker for Spencer. Although he hadnât asked for my help, I thought it would be useful to offer a female perspective. Spencerâs inherent shyness meant he needed substantial guidance in social situations, especially when it came to women.
The ambiance was pleasant. We were seated at a table near the main entrance. Given that it was Thursday, the bar was relatively quiet, but it was the only day we both had free to unwind after a grueling series of cases in New York. Honestly, Iâm not sure whatâs been happening this past month, but Iâve reviewed so much material that when I close my eyes, I still see the words on the pages. And Spence? The poor guy has never analyzed so many maps in his life. I thought this break was well-deserved, and he certainly deserved a chance to spend time with someone special. Well, both of us could use a moment with someone, but Iâm on a cupidâs mission and need to stay focusedâno distractions, no more than three drinks.
"Sheâs attractive, but Iâm not fond of blondes, and she seems a bit too tall for my taste. I donât think it would work out," he replied. I frowned and looked at him with disbelief. This was the fifth woman he had dismissed that evening, and his options were rapidly dwindling. I downed my beer in one gulp and stared him down, hoping to make him realize it was now or never. "Spence, you donât need to be so selective. I understand itâs challenging for you, but youâre only looking for someone to kiss. Iâd love to kiss that girl! Sheâs stunning. Just approach her, buy her a drink, and then kiss her. Go on, now," I urged impatiently. He needed to make the first move.
"I understand, Y/N. Sheâs attractive, but I donât want to kiss her, thatâs all," he said, turning back to the bar and taking a sip of his whiskey. I knew him well enough to sense he was hiding something. This was a significant step for him, and despite our discussions about taking a break, he seemed reluctant to pursue it. Ugh, he could be so stubborn.
"I know thereâs more to it, love. Are you feeling overwhelmed? Am I being too pushy, is that it? Iâm sorry if Iâm a bad cupid. Iâll stop. Look, Iâm waving the white flagâpeace," I said, grabbing a napkin and waving it theatrically. I flashed a grin, and he chuckled. It was always like this: he was the serious one, and I was the humorous one. He loved books, and I adored movies. He was the little angel, and I was the little devil. "Very amusing, but I swear, I have nothing to hide from you," he assured me.
"Spencer..." I gave him my best puppy-dog eyes. He looked uncomfortable, but he started to speak anyway, with a hint of resignation in his voice. "Well, thereâs this girl Iâve developed feelings for... sheâs incredibly nice and fun. When she talks to me, I canât think of anything else. Iâm not sure how to articulate my feelings, but I donât want to kiss anyone else. Sheâs everything to me now." I was overjoyed and exhilarated. Iâd never seen Spence so in love before, and now he had someone special in his life. Of course, I felt a twinge of jealousy, but I was also genuinely happy for him. This was a delightful surprise.
"Spencer Walter Reid!! Why didnât you tell me this sooner?! Did youâ" I exclaimed, relieved that the bar was mostly empty. His face flushed red as he tried to cover my mouth with his hand. "Y/N, please donât shout!!! I didnât know sooner, I didnât realize it until now..." he explained. I took a deep breath, trying to calm my excitement. "Alright... you need to go talk to her right now and give her a proper kiss! Iâll handle things here. Just go for it!"
He looked at me wide-eyed, his hands on my shoulders. "You really think so? Are you sure?" I snorted. "Absolutely, go now." And thatâs when he closed his eyes, taking a deep breath as if steeling himself for what he was about to do. His fingers gently gripped the back of my neck, his touch both tender and urgent. He leaned in, and I could feel the warmth of his breath against my skin before our lips finally met. I was stunned, my body tensed, and my eyes remained open for a moment, but his lips were so soft that I quickly surrendered to the kiss. Our lips moved together in sync, and I felt a profound connection. He wasnât as shy as Iâd thoughtâhe had a way with words and was incredibly sweet. I couldnât explain it, but he was perfect. Suddenly, I found myself bewitched by the very arrow of Cupid I had sent forth.
As we broke away from the kiss, I gazed at him, utterly bewildered, my heart racing with every beat. "Spence, what was that? You just..." I asked, my voice trembling with genuine confusion. He looked at me with an expression that blended sincerity and vulnerability before responding in a tone that was soft yet deeply meaningful: "Well, the truth is, the woman Iâve been admiring all along is you. Iâm sorry if this comes as a shock, but you asked me to act, so I did."
I was momentarily stunned, a whirlwind of emotions overtaking me. How could I have been so blind not to notice this sooner? I opened my mouth for the first time in minutes to speak my heart. "Spence, there's no need to apologize. I'm just... surprised! That was really something," I said, still trying to wrap my head around the moment. I paused, letting it all sink in. "So, does this count as our first date, or would you rather have a more traditional one?" I asked with an amused tone, trying to ease the tension that had built between us, feeling a bit uncertain about what came next.
"Oh, I definitely want another date. How about I take you out for dinner, and you wear that dark blue dress you had on at Rossiâs? I love the way it looks on you," he said, his words making a warm sensation spread through me. "Youâre so sweet, Spence. I hadnât really noticed it before. If Iâd known you kissed like that..." I replied with a laugh, hugging him tightly. "And you can bet Iâll wear the dress if it makes you happy." With a gentle caress on my face, I brushed his bangs off his forehead, feeling a bit strange about kissing one of my best friends, but I was glad he had the courage to confess something so significant.
I looked at his face again and could see him a bit embarrassed by the events of the night that had unfolded in a public place. It wasnât something he had planned, and he likes to plan things. "Y/N, may I kiss you a little longer?" he asked, his eyes searching mine for permission. Instead of answering, I pulled him into a deep, passionate kiss, savoring the moment.

The loud bass of the music reverberated throughout your body, the bouncing strobe lights of the dimly lit club making it hard to navigate through, especially with the sea of sweaty bodies grinding against each other.
You adjusted the black masquerade mask that rested on your nose that partially hid the top part of your faceâexcept your eyesâbefore reaching for the tray full of alcoholic beverages that were in various interesting colours.
âOh, Iâll take those. Manager told me she wanted you to specifically serve a private VIP room today, the Golden Room. Quickly! You have to be there before our clients.â Your co-worker swiftly took the tray full of drinks, ushering you away before hastily leaving, her short figure blending in amongst the crowd of people until she was nowhere to be seen.
The Golden Room. It was the most expensive private VIP room that the club had to offer as it had its own floor at the very top of the building, overlooking the bustling nightlife of Roppongi. The private room had its exclusive DJ and mini-bar that catered to the clientâs needsâand only their needsâalong with a personal server, which was you for tonight.
For the past few months that youâve been working at this club, you have never been asked to serve one of the private VIP rooms, let alone the most expensive one. You were always down at the main floor serving drinks, blending in with the huge crowd that never seemed to die down, even at early hours of the morning.
Trying to make yourself presentable, you hastily made your way to the main elevators to get to the top floor. In all honesty, you were quite nervous about this, not only was it your first time being a personal server, but it was also because you knew that the clients had money, a lot of money, so you couldnât afford to be fucking up your job any time soon.
After passing all the other floors in the building, the elevator dinged and its doors slid open to reveal an exquisite room, as expected. You finally knew why it was called the Golden Room, this private space had accents of gold everywhere, from the chandelier down to its marbled floor, it also housed a spacious balcony that overlooked the teeming city down below, this section of the club was so high up that you swore you could almost reach the dark clouds above.
Thankfully, the said clients still werenât there which gave you ample amounts of time to calm yourself down and be at your best behaviour, you couldnât afford to lose this job due to a simple mistake.
There were only three people in the room at the moment, you, the bartender who already worked on drinks, and the DJ who was busy fiddling with his controllers, music already coming out of the speakers.
You stood by the mini-bar, waiting for the patrons to walk in so you could warmly welcome them.
The elevator door dinged, revealing a lone man standing inside it. He was fairly tall, rosy pink hair that ended in a long mullet, noticeable scars on either corners of his lips, and deep turquoise eyes that complimented his prominent thick lashes.
The man strutted in, sporting a striped navy blue three-piece suit and a white button up, your eyes followed him as he sat in the middle of the long leather couch that rested against the wall, crossing his legs and resting his elbows on the backrest, his aquamarine gaze already on you.
Thatâs it? Thatâs our client? Just him? Questions ran through your mind as no other person walked out from the elevator, just the pink-haired man, all alone.
You realised he mustâve had a shit ton of money to be booking the most extravagant room that this club had to offer, all for himself. Goddamn, rich people really are something else, you thought.
It was awkward.
The pink-haired man stared at you and didnât even bother hiding it, you felt small under his intense gaze, also making you conscious about the black strapless latex top you were wearing. You shifted uncomfortably, he was still staring at you but that was when you remembered you completely forgot to greet him.
Oh shit. You were too distracted admiring the patron.
Your eyes widened a bit at the realisation, embarrassment slowly engulfing your body as you tried to take long confident strides toward the man, black thigh high boots clicking against the gold-accented marbled floor with every step you took. You plastered a warm smile, standing in front of the patron before introducing yourself and warmly welcoming him.
Well done, already fucking up the job, you thought, but the turquoise-eyed man let out a small chuckle, his voice deep but smooth like velvet, âArenât you cute?â He tilted his head to the side, a small smirk forming upon his pink lips. It was a bit hard not to stare at the scar that decorated his face, but you tried your best not to shift your gaze downward, not even the slightest bit.
You let out a shy laugh, âThank you, Iâll be your personal server for tonight. If you need anything, Iâll be over there, at the mini-bar.â You couldnât care less about his little compliment, youâve heard the varieties of it, coming from different types of men that you had previously served.
It was common sense to expect some customersâif not allâto act this way toward the servers, and it honestly sickened you how some men could think that it was okay to talk to women like this. Yes, you and your co-workers were employees of a club but that didnât give them the liberty to say and do anything they wanted.
After all, you guys were just trying to make a living. The least customers could do was extend their respect to mere club employees.
As you walked back to the mini-bar, you swore you could feel his burning gaze on you but you shook it off and ignored it, after all, he was just like any other man youâve interacted with in this club.
âWhiskey, on the rocks.â He signalled the bartender behind you before pulling something out from his pocket, you didnât know what it was but he was writing something, not that you cared.
Shortly after, the bartender set a lowball glass on the tray, the translucent coppery liquid modestly filling the glass, complemented with ice. You grabbed the tray and made your way over to the man situated on the sofa, neatly setting the cold drink before him.
âSanzu.â The rosy-haired man spoke up from where he sat, pocketing whatever he was writing on and leaned forward to reach for the drink, âHm?â You blinked at him, unsure what to reply, eyes wide and giving him a curious look
âName âs Sanzu.â âOh, alrighââ âWhy donât you come hang out with me a little, hm?â Sanzu cut you off, an expectant look forming in his pretty aquamarine eyes. You awkwardly looked around as if there was someone you could ask for permission, but nonetheless, you hesitantly made your way over to him.
You sat next to him, knees touching together and arms neatly folded on your lap as if you were getting a formal photograph taken. There was ample room between the two of you, although it looked awkward, you decided it would be more awkward if you had sat next to Sanzu so closely, given the fact that you didnât even know this man and he was a patron.
âIâm not really sure if this is professional. Itâs protocol that I am not to sit with any patââ âItâs completely fine, I personally know the people who own this club.â Sanzu slung one arm on the back rest while the other held the whiskey, bringing it up to his lips.
All you could do was nod, clearly, there was nothing else you could argue about.
Sanzu set the empty glass on the table and shifted his whole body to face you, âTell me⌠whatâs a pretty girl like you working at a club like this? That glint in your eyes screams innocence.â He lifted the slender hand that rested on the backrest and brought it up to your black mask, tracing each intricate design that decorated it.
His hand ventured further to one side of your face, reaching for the satin bow behind your head that secured the mask, his slender fingers tangling with the loops of the bow before pulling at the loose end, causing your mask to fall on your lap.
How exquisite. Sanzu keenly tilted his head to the side, turquoise eyes brimming with such interest.
âI asked you a question, pretty girl.â A saccharine smile formed on his scarred lips. You snapped out of your trance, blinking up at him, âOh, uh, âm just here to pay my bills and student loanâŚâ you whispered, a bit embarrassed.
âOh? And does this club pay you enough to do so?â
It didnât. Your pay was just enough to get you through each week but you were practically scraping through, most of your meals were from the convenience store and there were times where you didnât bring any lunch to eat in between your lectures due to your financial situation. It also didnât help the fact that the weekly allowance from your parents all went to the dorm you rented.
Your parents werenât white-collar workers like the customers you encountered in this club, they walked with confidence, swiping their cards left and right without a care in the world. Their wrists and neck decorated with heavy and expensive accessories while also donning luxury brands from head-to-toe that were probably expensive enough to pay for at least half ofâif not more thanâyour tuition fee.
You assumed Sanzu was a white-collar worker, seeing the way he strutted into the room earlier, like he owned it, and the way he was neatly dressed and not a single wrinkle on his expensive suit. You also noticed the shiny watch he sported on his left wrist, glimmering under the lights.
âNo.â You simply answered, gaze fixed on your hands that were slowly balling into fists.
Where was this conversation even going? You thought.
Was he here to degrade and make fun of your social status? Mock you because you werenât in the same tax bracket? Flaunt his dirty money in your face? Youâve encountered this many times with other customers, belittling your very existence because of a simple mistake youâve made.
It never bothered you these days like it did when you first encountered it, you remember crying on the toilet as you replayed the scene of a customer yelling harsh words at you, it didnât help that they were also quite intoxicated. You were used to it by now but it was tiring, you didnât need strangers telling you left and right that you werenât like them.
âWhat if I tell you I could pay you more? Much more than your job can.â
You met his gaze, brows furrowing as you were confused about what this whole conversation was about. God, was he a businessman wanting to recruit employees? If he was, then this is highly unprofessional, you thought.
âI donât quite followâŚ?â
Sanzu just gave you a small chuckle before pulling something out from his pocket and handing it to you, âIf you decide youâre too good for this environment, Iâm just a call away.â He stood up and made his way towards the elevator, bidding goodbye to the DJ, bartender and you.
He gave you one last smile before the elevator doors shut in front of him, and just like that, Sanzu was gone.
You let out a breath youâve been holding ever since you entered this room and looked down at the folded piece of paper on your lap. With curiosity, you opened the paper, âIâm just getting startedâ it wrote, with his number in red ink. You were about to shove it into your pocket until you noticed another paper behind it, your eyes widened.
It was a cheque. Was this what he was writing earlier?
Haruchiyo Sanzu, it stated on the top left corner, but what shocked you the most was the amount ordered to pay you, it was clearly more than what you made in your part-time job and was enough to get you through the week, more than a week, even.
How could Sanzu just give you this much money without batting an eye? Let alone a stranger he had just met. Was he crazy? But then your mind wandered back to the sentence on the other piece of paper, âIâm just getting started.â Did that indicate he was able to give you more?
Surely not.
Boy, were you wrong. You contemplated for days on end whether to call Sanzu or not, it was very tempting but what if he was just bluffing? You knew he wasnât, you went to the bank a few days ago to check if the cheque was fake or not, and to your surprise, it wasnât fake. It had the exact amount of money stated on it.
A few weeks had passed when you finally decided to call Sanzuâs number due to the growing desperation for financial aid, you tried your best to rely on yourself and the part-time job at the club but it just wasnât enough, you needed more. You needed what Sanzu was offering.
You were a bit hesitant to call him since you didnât know if his offer still stood even after quite a period of time but you were desperate, and plus, it didnât hurt to try. If he didnât pick up then youâd have to suck it up and find other ways to support your living, even if it meant bending your back.
To your surprise, Sanzu did pick up, rather quickly, even.
Little did you know that this call was the pivoting point of your life, where you could finally say goodbye to your old lifestyle and welcome a new one you have never experienced before.
Upon meeting up with Sanzu, he had come clean about his intentions and how he was going to provide you anything and everything you ever wanted in exchange for company and sexual favours, and nothing else. A sugar daddy. You knew the offer was too good to not involve some kind of physical factors, but it wasnât like you were new to sex.
Yes, others might view it as dirty and disrespectful to oneâs self that they would simply let an older man ask them for sexual favours in return for the lavish lifestyle, but life was never butterflies and rainbows, life was harsh and as much as youâd hate to admit it, only the richest could survive among times like this where everything was in demand and becoming more expensive.
Looking at the situation at hand, it wasnât like you had any other choice at this point. If the luxury life was going to welcome you with open arms through a man named Haruchiyo Sanzu, then youâd willingly let it.
You sat inside Sanzuâs white Bugatti Centodieci, on the way to a dinner reservation, the low roaring of its exhaust filling your ears as it came to a smooth halt at an intersection. Youâve been in this luxury car countless times before but youâve never gotten quite used to it because you knew how expensive this vehicle was; youâve done your research on some of the brands Sanzu sported, one of them being this extremely flamboyant car.
Your little research told you that there were only ten of the Centodieci models around the world, and Sanzu owned one of them. Your hands couldnât help but sweat at the thought, causing you to smooth your pleated skirt down to wipe it off, âI like your nails, princess.â Sanzu reached a hand over the console and took yours, his fingers tracing the intricate details of your jewelled stiletto nails. Rhinestones gleaming underneath the bright city lights outside.
Not only were they embedded in expensive rhinestones but some of them were covered in 24K gold foil, costing your appointment at a whopping price but Sanzu never batted an eye when he swiped his card yesterday, no hesitation whatsoever. Last week, he had asked you to choose a nail design you really liked and he would take care of booking the appointment, of course, you jumped at that opportunity.
You knew why Sanzu loved paying for your nail appointments.
âDo you want me to test them out?â You blinked up at him and took his hand into yours, sensually massaging and rubbing it as if it were something else, god, Sanzu wished it was something else. He cursed under his breath at the sensation of his blood rushing down to his cock with need, his other hand gripping the leather steering wheel a little harder, knuckles turning painfully white as you continued with your ministrations,
âYou always know what I want, huh?â He let out a breathy chuckle, shifting uncomfortably in his leather seat, cock now straining against his navy dress pants and begging to be let out. Sanzu skilfully manoeuvred his vehicle, taking desperate turns left and right to find a random deserted place to park, although it didnât really matter if there were people around or not, his vehicle was heavily tinted and he liked the thrill of getting caught.
What were they gonna do? Stop him from getting head? They could try.
The tyres of Sanzuâs vehicle loudly skidded against the rough pavement of the empty parking lot as he desperately parked his car, not even bothering to situate his vehicle in a parking space, it was already evening and no one was around anyway.
âFuck, come here.â Sanzu groaned, reclining his seat back and pulling your face closer to his own. You leaned over the console to kiss him, knees resting on the smooth material, one arm against the window of the driverâs side for support, and the other gripping the headrest behind his head.
Sanzu craned his neck forward to meet your gloss-stained lips, one hand firmly resting on your chin to keep you in place, while the other wandered elsewhere. His kisses held desperation in them, soft pillowy lips laced with hunger as it moved against your own. The man beneath you let out short erratic breaths that tickled below your nose, occasionally letting out soft eager whines into your lips.
He was usually on the dominant side, but fuck, was he needy when it came to receiving. Not that you complained, though, it was a pretty sight to see him all wrecked and at your mercy. It was priceless to see his authoritative demeanour crumble into nothing but a pathetic whining mess that begged for his cock to be touched and sucked on, even if it rarely happened.
You slightly jerked at Sanzuâs wandering hand that found its way to your inner thigh under the dimly lit carâthe only source of light coming from the warm street lights of the parking lotâ, slowly massaging and rubbing unfamiliar shapes at the supple flesh and earning a small whimper from you. His hand ventured around your outer thigh and flicked your skirt up, the skimpy fabric that was once barely covering your ass, now rested on your lower back and in full view for anyone who passed by the passengerâs window.
But you werenât worried, Sanzuâs vehicle was tinted.
A small moan escaped your swollen lips but was swallowed down during the heated kiss with Sanzu as his large hand landed a merciless slap against the fat of your ass, the sharp searing pain from the sudden skin contact spreading across your backside making you wetter, âPut those pretty hands to use, baby.â He broke the kiss, lips ghosting over your own as he panted out, desperate for air to fill his lungs.
Sanzu placed both his hands behind his head and relaxed his torso against the warm leather seat to let you do your thing, his lust-filled turquoise eyes intently following your every move.
Shuffling closer to the evident tent in his pants, you placed your palm over his crotch, roughly palming his erection, causing a deep throaty groan from Sanzu, his back involuntarily arching away from the backrest and hands flying up to the headrest behind his head, gripping on it for his dear life. His eager eyes watched the way your twinkling nails moved against his strained cock, biting his lip at the sight and heat spreading throughout his body.
He loosened the black tie around his neck and hastily unbuttoned his collar so he could breathe better. You gave him a sly smile before slowly guiding the small pull-tab down the teeth of the zipper, the car was quiet, so you could only hear the movement of the zipper and Sanzuâs soft desperate pants, his pink lips slightly parted.
With the help of his hips, you pulled his pants down along with his underwear just enough to release his throbbing cock from its confines, earning a slight hiss from the rosy pink haired man as you firmly gripped his heavy length, your rhinestone-studded nails complimenting his hard cock with your fingers wrapped around him.
Sanzu let out a loud moan as you pumped his dick up and down after spitting at it, you gripped him like a vice, wrist skilfully twisting and tugging at his cock just how he liked it. He could almost cum right then and there at the sight of your freshly manicured fingers wrapped around his length. Fuck, he loved seeing your jewellery-embedded nails around his cock.
You flattened your tongue and licked a long slow stripe up the underside of his dick, earning a loud desperate whine from Sanzu, one hand flying down to tangle into your hair to eagerly tug at it, âFuuuuuuckâŚâ he breathed out, his bottom lip tightly caged between his teeth as he threw his head back.
God, you never failed to give him the best head of his life, and you were just getting started.
More desperate airy whines slipped past his pink lips as you peppered his length with light kisses, his hips greedily bucking up at you, Sanzu needed more, âNgh! Stop being such a tease and suck me off already. We have a reservation, rememberâah!â He whined, lust-filled hunger evident in his tone.
Suddenly remembering about the dinner reservation, you didnât hesitate to put the pink head in your mouth, sucking and swirling your tongue around the blunt tip and primarily focusing on his precum-filled slit that had Sanzu practically writhing in his seat, his face contorting with pure pleasure, back arching, and hips hungrily bucking into your mouth, causing you to hold them down,
âHaaah! Thatâs it, now take it all in like the good girl you are.â He moaned, breath shaky and unstable.
And so you did. Without hesitation, you slowly slid your mouth down his length while taking deep breaths through your nose just like had Sanzu taught you before. His grip on your hair tightened, earning a loud moan from you which sent vibrations down his cock, âOhhh fuck, youâre taking me in soângh! So well.â You started bobbing your head up and down, taking slow experimental motions with his hard cock sliding against your throat, this caused Sanzu to buck his hips higher, eager to feel the constant friction of your mouth against him.
âMhm, I told you to stop teasing, didnât I?â Sanzu growled and swiftly sat up, roughly taking the black tie loosely secured around his collar. He grabbed both your hands and pinned them behind your backâjust resting above your assâ, using his tie to keep them in place. The whole action caused you to lean forward, taking more of Sanzuâs cock into your mouth.
Sanzu leaned back into his seat, one hand gripping the headrest and the other going back into your hair as he thrusted his hips in and out of your mouth, âMhmâah! Thatâs more like it. I canât keep reminding you that Iâm still in control here.â He moaned. Sanzu gathered all of your hair and put it up in a make-shift ponytail with his hand, as it obstructed his view from your pretty mouth taking all of his dick.
With his hand wrapped securely around your loose hair, he started relentlessly thrusting up into your hot mouth, his other hand behind his head practically digging into the headrest which he knew was going to leave evident marks but he didnât care. He didnât give a fuck about potentially damaging the expensive leather of his car, when you were taking him so so well.
All you could do was sit there and take it, tears uncontrollably rolling down your cheeks which surely ruined your makeup, your knees were painfully digging into the console and thighs burning from the lack of stretch but you didnât care, all you wanted was for Sanzu to cum into your mouth.
Sanzuâs head spun as he was nearing his high, his head thrown back, lips parted, and stomach clenching from immense pleasure while he kept at his pace. His chest heaved up and down as he let out short airy desperate whines in tune with the movement of his hips, fuck, he was so close.
âIâm gonna cumângh! You better take all of my fuckinâ load like the good girl you are.â He thickly swallowed, his desperate whines turning into shallow erratic breathing, only a few more thrusts away before he topped over the edge.
Sanzuâs hips faltered as the rumbling coil deep in his stomach finally snapped, he threw his head back and arched his back as he cummed into your mouth, letting out a loud shameless moan that filled the entire vehicle. You moaned into his dick, feeling his hot cum roll down your throat as he firmly kept your head in place, his hips rolling into you to ride out his orgasm while gripping the headrest behind him, the tips of his fingers hurting from the constant pressure heâs been putting on it.
âHaah, yeah thatâs it. Such a good girl.â Sanzu praised, letting go of your hair as you eagerly lapped up some of his cum that rolled down his dick. Before he could undo the tie that bound your wrists together, his phone loudly rang, causing the both of you to jump at the sudden sound.
Sanzu quickly reached for his phone that was inside his blazer pocket and cleared his throat before answering it. âYes, yes, we will be there soon. Just got held up in traffic.â He chuckled, giving you a knowing look before bidding goodbye to whoever was on the other side of the call.
âThey were just confirming if we were still coming for our reservation.â Sanzu laughed as he pulled his tie from your wrists, âHeld up in traffic, huh.â You raised a brow at himâthroat sore from your recent activitiesâas you sat into your seat and fixed yourself up with the help of the sun visor mirror. Sanzu tucked himself back in and gave you a breathy chuckle, âThat was the first thing that popped into my mind.â
âAlso, I didnât hurt you too much, right? Got really carried away, sorry.â He sighed as he adjusted his seat into its normal upright position, looking at you with concern.
Sanzu knew that he could get too carried away during sex which causes him to become rough and unrelentless. Of course, he had already discussed this with you and to his surprise, you were okay with it, apparently you liked it rough. You shook your head, brushing him off with a smile, âItâs okay, you were enjoying yourself back there.â You laughed, sending him a teasing look.
The man next to you shook his head as he could feel warmth creeping up his cheeks and embarrassment engulfing his body. âNonsense.â He muttered before turning his car on to make your way to the dinner reservation.
Sanzuâs personality was such a contrast from the first time you met him back at the club, right off the bat, you thought he was a cocky and arrogant individual with the way he acted that night but as you got to know his personality better, he was a completely different person.
The facade that he had on back when you first met him was definitely gone. But was that really a front he just put up? It made you wonder.
Both of you calmly walked inside the exquisite restaurant like you werenât just sucking him off a couple of minutes ago. Sanzu rested a palm on the low of your back as the waiter guided you to your seats, âWhy the sudden fancy dinner?â You looked up at him, his aquamarine gaze meeting yours, Sanzu shrugged, a small smile forming upon his lips, âJust wanted to treat my baby, thatâs all. Youâve been so good for me, might reward you more, later.â He leaned closer as he spoke the last line, a hint of slyness laced in his tone.
Maybe you could actually live in this lifestyle.
Ever since Sanzu stepped into your life, there wasnât a day where you struggled anymore. No more sleepless nights of thinking how to get through tomorrow, no more stressing out about upcoming bills, and lastly, no more encountering drunk nasty old men at the club who sneered at your social status.
You could solely focus on your law degree now. You were getting better grades because the financial stress had been lifted from your shoulders, your mind wasnât wandering elsewhere during lectures, trying to think of ways of how to ration your pay for the week.
There was no other possible choice for you but to take Sanzuâs offer. If you were going to take the easy way out of your financial stress, might as well do it with someone who splendidly paid you, not only with money but with gifts and mind blowing sex.
You stared at the man sitting across you, as the waiter poured MoĂŤt & Chandon MCIII into two flute glasses, the translucent yellow liquid neatly sloshing around the glass. You admired Sanzuâs features as he mindlessly tapped at his phoneâwork related, he saidâhis expression unchanging as his thumbs swiftly typed something.
It has come to your attention that you never really knew what Sanzu did for work, every time you asked him, he would just brush it off and say something along the lines of âjust business related stuffâ and you believed him, you didnât want to push his boundaries further but you wished he was as open to you as you were with him.
Sanzu was very secretive about his phone calls too; one time, you had seen his phone ringing on his night stand while he was in the bathroom. You were about to grab his phone and take it to him, that was until he came out of the bathroom and saw you reaching for it, he practically lunged for his phone and answered it straight away while walking out of his bedroom.
The only thing you heard from Sanzu as he answered the phone was, âYes, boss?â. You knew this âbossâ was called Mikey since you had seen the caller ID while reaching for his phone. It seemed like Sanzu was working for someone in a higher position than him despite having immense wealth. Who was this Mikey, anyway?
There would also be times whenever you slept over at his penthouse, Sanzu would just disappear during ungodly hours of the morning, sometimes it would stir you awake because he always reached for his nightstand drawerâthat was always lockedâbefore he left and sometimes it would make a loud creaking sound whenever he opened it. He always tucked the item he took out from that specific drawer into his pocket.
You never knew what he took out or what other contents that drawer housed because it needed a key to be opened, a key that Sanzu always took with him. You assumed it was something heavy as he had dropped it on the rug one time, causing him to curse under his breath.
There were times where you slept alone in his bed waiting for him to come home during the night but he would never arrive, instead, he would arrive sometime in the morning, very exhausted and looked like he needed a week of sleep.
Was he being overworked? You hoped not.
You knew this relationship between you and Sanzu was just contractual and not built on any feelings but you couldnât help feeling sorry for the man. Sometimes, when it was his day off and he wasnât leaving during ungodly hours of the morning, you would catch him smoking out on his balcony instead, which overlooked the city down below. Sanzu would just stare off into the horizon, letting the tobacco completely fill his lungs.
He always looked so⌠empty.
âI have something for you later, back at home. If that's fine with you?â You were pulled from your trance by Sanzuâs voice. He tucked his phone in his blazer and gave you an expectant look. You nodded your head, âFine by me, you donât even have to ask.â
Sanzu was always like this, he always spoiled you. He was so unpredictable, in a good way. He always got you what you wanted and sometimes he would even go out of his way to personally pick and buy whatever he thought would suit you. This man spent money on you left and right without a care in the world, sometimes you would wake up with a big bouquet of roses that scented his entire penthouse because he â felt like buying you oneâ as per his words.
During the times you stayed at your dorm for the night, there would be a delivery next morning of whatever item Sanzu decided to swipe his card on, whether it be designer shoes from the most recent collection, overly priced flowers, or clothes that only catered to you, the only thing consistent was that it was expensive, it was always expensive.
You never even asked for most of the gifts he gave you but nonetheless, you were thankful for them. Although, it did overwhelm you sometimes with how much he was spending on you. One time you asked him, âWhat if you run out of money?â and Sanzu merely laughed at your question but answered, âBaby, I will never lose money. I can guarantee you that.â There was something odd about his tone when he said that but you brushed it off.
Back at his penthouse, you waltzed toward his couch and practically threw yourself on it while Sanzu wandered off to get the item he had recently bought you.Â
You still couldnât believe that he had offered you to stay with him in this penthouse for free but you had to politely decline his offer since you still liked the idea of having your own space, plus, you didnât even know when this whole thing was going to end, so it was better to be ready with a place to fall back to.
The first time you saw his penthouse, your mind was blown. The interior design screamed modern and luxurious, every corner you turned had your jaw dropping. There was a massive crystal chandelier that hung right at the centre of his living room, the walls were mainly floor-to-ceiling glass which allowed you to see breathtaking panoramic views of the city, it was truly beautiful during sunrise and sunset. The way the warm hues of the sun engulfed the whole space was just phenomenal.
His bedroom was grand and also consisted of these floor-to-ceiling glass, to which sometimes he liked to fuck you against, giving you a view of the bustling streets below as he pounded into you.
âHere.â Sanzu thrusted a rather large brown paper bag into your face, his aquamarine eyes gleaming with pure excitement. You sat up from his couch and took the paper bag, Christian Louboutin it read, written in white font.
He canât be serious, you thought.
He sat next to you as you pulled out an equally coloured shoe box, which also had the same writing as the bag. âSanzuâŚâ you gasped, giving him a look of disbelief but he only silently urged you on to open the box.
After several layers of white tissue paper, you were met with a vibrant red shoe bag that had the same writing as the paper bag and the shoe box. As you removed the shoe bag, you were met with the most breathtaking pair of shoes youâve ever seen.
They were black 130mm heeled platforms, donning its signature red bottom and consisted of a strap that would encase the ankle. The pumps were shiny underneath the chandelier light, causing you to gape at it with a curious gaze as you picked up one shoe. It was your very first pair of Louboutins and you were beyond ecstatic.
With Sanzuâs help, you managed to step into the heels. It was very comfortable despite its daunting heel size; you walked back and forth in his living room, strutting about and trying to get comfortable with the new pumps, the red bottoms loudly clicking against the tiled floors.
With a huge smile plastered on your face, you stopped in front of Sanzu, âOh my goodness, I am over the moon right now.â You wrapped your arms around his waist, burying your face in his chest and inhaling his musky cologne. Sanzu stroked your hair, chuckling, âAnything for my baby. You always look so pretty in the things I buy you.â
âNow, how about I reward you for being so good today?â His hand stopped right at your nape and snaked around to the front of your neck, slightly pushing you away and leaning down to give you a passionate kiss, which you didnât hesitate to return.
This time, his kisses were soft and sensual, like he wanted to savour every single moment with your lips on his but there was a slight desperation in them. You didnât miss the way Sanzuâs fingers ever so slightly tightened around your neck and the way he leaned forward to try and deepen the kiss.
He didnât spend much time with your lips and started trailing light but eager kisses down the side of your neck, earning a slight whimper from you as he bit down on a particular spot. Your hands clung to his navy blue blazer, wrinkling the expensive fabric with how much he abused your neck with his mouth.
You were already a whimpering mess and Sanzu hasnât even done anything to you, yet. He loved how responsive you were under his touches, how the slightest touch he gave elicited the prettiest sounds from you. Such a good girl for him, thatâs why he loved spoiling you.
âWait for me on the bed, princess. You know what to do, everything off except those fuckinâ heels.â Sanzu broke the kiss and gave your forehead a soft peck, ushering you to his bedroom.
You nodded and wordlessly made your way to his room, platform heels loudly making contact with the tiled floor. Every step you took had your heart racing faster with excitement, you knew you were in for a long night and Sanzu wasnât the one to hold back, especially if youâve been such a good girl for him,
Before getting on Sanzuâs bed and waiting for him there, you had obeyed his instructions and stripped down every single article of clothing that covered your body, except your new Louboutins. You patiently sat on the edge of the bed, slightly shivering at the contrast of the cool air against your exposed skin, causing goosebumps and your nipples to immediately harden.
If you were being honest, you were already wet. You knew Sanzu didnât have to do much since you were already turned on from the head you gave him in his car earlier. The way he turned into a whimpering mess despite being so domineering did things to you, it always did and you couldnât help but rub your thighs together at the thought of him.
Sanzu came in a few seconds later, one hand holding his unfastened tie and the other holding handcuffs which mischievously glimmered under the hallway light, âGood girl. Now lie back on the pillows for me, baby.â He gave you a smug smile, his long legs striding towards the bed.
He encased one wrist with a cuff, the audible click of it letting you know that there was no getting away from him now; Sanzu looped the chain that held the cuffs together around the back of a metal bar on his headboard and cuffed your other wrist, both hands now firmly situated above your head. You slightly tugged at the cuffs, it was cold against your skin but you liked it.
Sanzu also brought the black tie up to your eyes, completely obstructing your view from anything, he firmly tied a knot behind your head and gave you a peck on the lips.
With your vision obstructed and your hands bound, you could only rely on your hearing. This made everything much more exciting, the thrill of not being able to see what he was going to do next nor not being able to touch him.
You could hear the rustling of sheets and suddenly, Sanzu wasnât on the bed with you anymore, you couldnât feel his weight on the bed. You assumed he was undressing himself as you heard the loud clang of the metal buckle on his belt meet the floor, along with the rustling of fabric.
The bed dipped under Sanzuâs weight as he positioned himself near your feet, he grabbed your ankles and brought them closer to you, effectively bending your knees toward the ceiling. He crawled closer to your anticipating body, watching the way your chest heaved with desperation and mouth slightly parted, smirking at the way your Louboutins dug into the mattress.
He spread your legs apart and started kissing down your inner thighs, alternating between each leg, earning a small moan of surprise from you. Sanzu stopped at a spot dangerously near the apex of your legs, biting and sucking at the supple flesh, causing you to whine and instinctively tug at the metal cuffs around your wrist.
âYouâre already so wet for me⌠have I been neglecting my baby?â He cooed into your wet folds, lips ghosting over them to tease you. Fuck, your scent drove Sanzu crazy, he didnât even know if he was even going to last but he wanted this to be about you and you, only. He didnât care about putting his needs last, he wanted you to cum around him, and as many times as you could.
You let out a sigh of content as Sanzu flattened his tongue and licked a long stripe up your wet cunt, revelling at the way you tasted against him. He watched as you desperately yanked your wrists, making a loud clanking noise as he wrapped his mouth around your cunt, noisily sucking like his life depended on it.
Small whines escaped past your lips at Sanzuâs ministrations but soon turned into a loud moan as he shoved his stiff tongue inside, exploring every single space of your wet heat. His tongue moved in you at such speed that caused you to instinctively close your legs with the pleasure being too much to handle but Sanzu pinned both your knees sideways on the bed, his firm grip letting you know that he wasnât going to let you close your legs.
âYou canât be doing that, baby. When Iâm giving you a reward, youâll have to take all of it.â
Thatâs right. Sanzu didnât only spoil you by buying you expensive luxury items, no, he spoiled you in many different ways, and just like how you kindly accepted the things he bought you, you had to do the same thing with what he was giving you right now. Denying his mouth was equivalent to denying everything he had bought you.
Sanzu alternated between licking and sucking at your clit without faltering, causing you to near your orgasm. He looked up at you from his long prominent lashes and observed the way your stomach was clenching and back arching with pleasure, how you constantly pulled at the cuffs on your wrist hard enough to leave red marks, the way your lips were parted slightly and letting out shallow high pitched whines along with his name.
âAah! Fuck, Sanzu! Iâm going to cum.â Your hips desperately bucked up against his mouth as you came on it, head thrown back against his pillows as you cried out Sanzuâs name in a loud moan, it was music to his ears.
Sanzu lapped up your cum, sloppily licking at your cunt, causing your legs to shake at the overstimulation. If he wasnât pinning your legs down, you would have tried to close your them already. He gave your cunt one last peck before finally leaving it alone.
You panted against his mattress, legs jelly and mind hazy from just being eaten out, your arms were also burning at the uncomfortable position but you knew Sanzu was nowhere near done.
The night just had begun, and like he wrote in that piece of paper when you first met him, heâs just getting started.
He got on his knees and gave his hard cock a few strokes, groaning at the pleasure. Sanzu placed both your legs over his shoulders and grabbed the base of his cock, teasing the tip of it with your cunt, slowly rubbing up and down your wet folds but never actually putting it in.
âSanzu, pleaseâŚâ you whimpered, biting your bottom lip. He was so close but not exactly where you needed him to be.
It was truly a sight to see. Your hands bound above your head with handcuffs, your vision obstructed with his tie, your legs resting on top of his shoulders, and your newly bought Louboutins just behind his head.
Wasting no time, Sanzu slowly pushed his tip into your wet heat, already groaning at your tightness but before he could push any further, his phone loudly rang which caused both of you to jump at the sound. âFucking hell.â Sanzu scoffed, slipping out of you and placing your legs back down to grab his phone from the pile of clothes.
âSanzuuu, Iâm sure they can wait. Please, just fuck me.â You whined, craning your neck as you felt him getting off the bed but he ignored your desperate pleas and answered his phone, âWhat the fuck do you want, Haitani?â He spat, hastily making his way back to you and placing your legs up on his shoulders again.
Was he seriously about to fuck you while on call? Who was that, anyway?
Sanzu kissed the inner side of your knee before slowly pushing all the way in, letting out a hot gasp and throwing his head back at the way your hot cunt desperately sucked him in, âAh, fuck! Youâre taking me so well, baby.â He praised you, on hand settling on your hip and the other holding his phone against his ears.
âAre you seriously fucking someone right now? Sanzuââ âYouâre the one who called me during a very important moment, Ran. Now, what do you want?â You heard Sanzu reply to whoever was on the call, his voice clearly strained.
âGetting your dick wet isnât important! I was just about to ask you if you wanted to come with Rindou and I.â Ran huffed, Sanzu could tell the older man was rolling his eyes at him.
Sanzu picked up his pace, the way his balls loudly slapped against your ass could surely be heard by Ran. âNghâah! Sanzu!â a loud moan escaped your lips, causing you to quickly bite down at your bottom lip, embarrassment filling you as the male on the other side of the call most likely heard your shameless moan.
âWhy would I want toâah! Fuck! Why would I want to go with you twoângh!â He shamelessly moaned into his phone, not giving a single fuck if Ran was disgusted or not, he should be thankful he even picked up the call.
Sanzu saw the way you were biting your lip so hard that it was sure to draw blood soon, he didnât like you concealing your moans so he leaned forward and the hand that was previously on your hip was now situated on the mattress, beside your chest. This position allowed him to get deeper strokes into you, earning a loud cry of his name from you.
He was so deep and deliciously hit your g spot over and over again that you couldnât help but let out a chain of loud moans, at this point you didnât even think about the person on Sanzuâs phone, he was giving it to you so good that you had to let him know. The metal cuffs clinked against his headboard as you tried to desperately reach for something to keep you grounded with the immense pleasure you felt.
It also didnât help with how your vision was obstructed, resulting in your other senses to become heightened, you could feel pleasure at a much higher level.
Ran was saying something to Sanzu but he was too lost in pleasure to even comprehend what the fuck he was talking about. His head was spinning from pleasure, god, you were taking him so well. âMhm. You know whatâah! I donâtâoh fuck, Princess! I donât even fucking care at this point, Iâm hanging up.â Sanzu threw his head back in pleasure as he chucked his phone somewhere in the sheets but forgetting to actually end the call.
He couldnât care less. He wanted your cum around his dick.
With the distraction at bay, Sanzu focused on you. Leaning down to suck on your breasts and neck as you panted below him, âAre you close, baby?â he gritted against your neck, jaw tightening at how tight you were around him. You frantically nodded, face contorted with pleasure and lips parted, letting out desperate high pitched whines, âIângh! Iâm going to cum, Sanzu!â you cried out.
Sanzu leaned closer to your ear, âFuck, thatâs it, princess. Cum around my cock like the good girl you are.â he panted, his hot breath fanning against the side of your neck.
You arched your back in pleasure, chest pushing up against Sanzuâs as you moaned his name, followed by a string of profanities. Sanzuâs hips didnât falter one bit, despite how tight you became as you clenched around him, he whispered sweet nothings into your ear and how much of a good girl you were for him as he rode out your orgasm.
âNghâah! Iâm so close.â Sanzu whined as he quickly pulled his cock out of you, desperately pumping it with his hand. He bucked his hips up at his hand and threw his head back with a loud groan as he cummed on your chest, his hands not slowing down to milk his cock down to every last drop.
You moaned at the sensation of his hot cum landing on you, arching your back to push your chest further toward him. Sanzu panted above you, seeing the way your body was decorated with his semen.
âWeâre not done yet, baby.â he chuckled.
Before he could do anything, he heard his phone beep, like someone had just ended the call. Sanzu was surprised that Ran actually stayed that long in the call, he thought Ran wouldâve ended it by the time he threw the phone elsewhere.
Sanzu was true to his words. He was not done with you until you were all spent and begging for him to stop, safe to say that you werenât going to be walking properly anytime soon and that was fine by you, it was a Friday night anyway.
You lazily lounged on Sanzuâs couch, eating and mindlessly watching whatever programme was on the TV. You were currently waiting for Sanzu to get home, apparently he got called in for work even though it was a Sunday, but oh well. He also told you not to stay up too late and try wait for him but you were stubborn.
It was late in the evening and the programme that was on was the news channel, but you didnât pay much attention to it and savoured the way your food tasted against your tongue. You could feel your eyes getting droopy by the minute but fought the urge to let sleep take over you.
âIn tonightâs news, we now focus on the countryâs most notorious crime syndicate, Bonten, as they continue to pose danger to the public⌠the people shown in this video clip are itâs executives and membersâŚâ
Instinctively, you looked up from your snack and towards the TV to see the footage of a white haired man walking and his back towards the camera. A particular design caught you off guard, it was the tattoo on the manâs nape that made you think for a while. His tattoo was of a hanafuda card that symbolised the full moon.
Have I seen that before? You thought.
You shook your head at the silly thought, how have you seen that tattoo before when the news reporter literally mentioned that it originated from the countryâs most notorious crime syndicate. Surely if you were to come across a member of that crime syndicate, you probably wouldnât even make it alive.
Trying to take your mind off the news, you switched the channel to a random one which happened to be a food channel, you could work with that. Your attention shifted over to the door, hearing it close and someone shuffling around.
Sanzu.
The man walked through the hallway, hanging his blazer on the coat rack and rolling his polo sleeves up, âBaby, what are you still doing up?â Sanzu sighed as he waltzed over to you, hands wide open to pull you into a hug. âI wanted to wait for youâŚâ you mumbled into his stomach, the smooth material of his tuxedo vest rubbing against your face.
He rubbed your cheeks and smiled down at you, his eyes filled with genuineness, âIâll just wash up real quick, okay?â You nodded and Sanzu gave you a soft peck on the forehead before heading for his bedroom.
You looked over his shoulder and trailed his figure that slowly disappeared into the hallway leading to his room, letting out a sigh youâve been holding as you could feel your heart racing faster.
There were two things that stood out to you despite his dimly lit penthouse, the first one was the hanafuda card tattoo on his left forearm and the other was the ever so slightly spots of red on his sleeves but maybe your eyes played tricks on you for that one but you surely saw his tattooed left arm.
Your mind was quick to wander elsewhere, you didnât know what to make of it. Maybe you were just overthinking it, maybe he just coincidentally got the same tattoo as the countryâs most feared syndicate, surely, right?
Besides, the odds of becoming face to face with an executive of Bonten were practically zero to none. You lived a quiet life so there was no reason for you to even encounter a member, thatâs right, your life was nothing but monotonous⌠until you met Sanzu.
Come to think of it, Sanzu never even told you where he worked or who he worked for. All you knew is that he was a busy man but still made time for you but this piece of missing information was enough to speculate. You knew it was wrong to accuse someone without hard, concrete evidence; innocent until proven guilty, your law professors taught you that.
But something inside you screamed to know the truth, you didnât know how youâll gain the information, surely not by walking up to him and going, âHey, are you part of that crime syndicate called Bonten?â
Just then, a name suddenly popped up in your head. Sanzu mentioned a name two days ago during a call.
Haitani.
That name rang a bell to you but where have you heard it before? It took you a few minutes to ponder over the somewhat familiar name but it finally clicked. Haitani, that was the name youâve heard a lot back when you were still working at the club in Roppongi. The club they owned. You didnât know much about the nameâs origin but you knew there were two of them and they basically ruled that district. Gang members.
It dawned upon you that Sanzu once mentioned that he knew the owner of the club when you first met him. It made sense. The dots all connected to one another but what were you exactly going to do?
You quickly turned the TV off and made your way to Sanzuâs bedroom, the shower was still running which indicated he was nowhere near being done. You walked into his room, your eyes immediately catching his unlocked drawer slightly ajar, the drawer that he always locked without fail, the one he always opened before he left early in the mornings.
Shallow breaths slipped past your lips as you nervously made your way toward it, taking cautious steps like something would jump out at you at any minute. Your hands nervously reached for the handle and pulled it, the loud creaking sound making you jolt.
A gun. All in its glory, lying right in the middle of the drawer and nothing else. The metal barrel shone under the bright lights of Sanzuâs bedroom, as if it was taunting you.
You took a few steps back, eyes widening at the dangerous weapon before your eyes. So many questions ran through your head and it also didnât help the way your heart was beating faster than ever.
Your head snapped toward the bathroom door as Sanzu stepped out, damp rosy pink hair, exposed chest and grey sweatpants sitting dangerously low around his waist. His eyes darted between the unreadable expression in your face and the opened drawer, tilting his head slightly to the side, he looked at you with a weird glint in his eyes,
âBaby, has no one ever taught you not to go through things that arenât yours?â His voice laced with venom as he took long strides towards you, his slender fingers making its way to your chin to firmly hold it in place.
Avoiding his eye contact, you muttered a small apology, closing your eyes which only made Sanzu smirk, âGuess Iâll have to teach you a lesson, huh?â Before you could say anything, he closed the gap between your lips, his other hand silently reaching for the 9mm in the drawer and placed it in his pocket. It wasnât loaded, Sanzu knew better than to load his gun with bullets with you around his penthouse.
He backed you into the floor-to-ceiling glass before deepening the kiss; his kisses were rough and needy, the way his lips hungrily moved against yours told you that he was desperate. You didnât hesitate to return his kiss in the same manner, your mind slowly forgetting about this whole thing but it was still there, in the back of your head, waiting to be unravelled.
Sanzuâs hand snaked inside your pants, giving tight circles around your clothed clit, causing you to moan into his mouth. He didnât have to do much to get you dripping, after all, his light kisses and fingers were enough to have you begging on your knees for him. That was the effect he had on you, he was like drugs and you needed a dose of him everyday.
âYou better be all ears for me, baby. Iâm only teaching you this lesson once.â
In no time, you were out of your shirt as he turned your body around and pressed your exposed front against the cold surface of the glass, your breath immediately fogging it up. Sanzu trailed kisses down your nape and sucked at a spot on your back, earning a small moan from you. His hands wandered to your chest, each roughly massaging a breast, pulling and groping it.
âMhm⌠Sanzu, please.â
Sanzu wasted no time to pull your pants down, slightly shivering at the sudden cool air that hit your exposed legs; he swiftly pulled his stiff cock out of his sweatpants and teased your wet folds through your panties. Your nails scraped against the smooth glass as Sanzu continued with his teasing, tears almost forming in your eyes at how turned on you were.
But he was just as horny as you, so he pushed your panties aside and slid his cock in, bottoming out in one go. You threw your head back against his shoulders, your hands balling into fists against the fogged up glass, âHah, Sanzu!â
âSuch a slut for me, arenât you?â Sanzu chuckled, pulling out his unloaded 9mm and firmly pressing it against your neck, your walls tightly clenched around his dick at the cool sensation of the barrel against your skin, Sanzu also noticed this and from there on, he saw red.
He picked up his pace, hips roughly fucking up into you at the fastest pace he could possibly attain, âYou like it when I use my gun on you? You like the thrill of that? What a fucking slut.â Sanzu whispered into your hair, teeth gritting at the way your walls deliciously hugged his cock, you were so tight that he literally had to let his mind wander somewhere else so he wouldnât cum right then and there.
You could only moan at his questions, your breasts tightly pressing against the glass surface as your back arched due to Sanzuâs merciless hips. Nothing else was on your mind now, just his cock and the way he was hitting your g-spot with every single thrust of his hips.
His gun made its way to your lips, âSuck on it.â He demanded and you didnât hesitate to open your mouth and place your lips around the tip of his gun, tongue swirling and sucking on it like it was Sanzuâs dick.
Sanzu cursed against your neck as he heard the wet squelches of your mouth working against his gun, the way your head desperately leaned into the 9mm as if you wanted more, the way you moaned around it the same way you would with his dick. His grip on the weapon tightened, fuck, you were so filthy.
Tears rolled down your cheeks as Sanzu hooked his free hand on the back of your knee and brought it up against the glass, he was much deeper this time and it turned you into nothing but a teary moaning mess around his 9mm. You were so close to cumming.
High pitched whines escaped your lips every time his crotch slapped against your ass, there wasnât anything you could do but fist your hands into the glass and moan against the weapon that he held up your lips.
âFuck, Iâm gonna cum! Cum with me, princessâŚâ Sanzu groaned, inhaling the scent of your hair as he sealed his eyes shut at the immense pleasure. He pushed his gun further into your mouth as you reached your orgasm, causing you to moan loudly and tightly clench around his dick, your legs shaking and nails scraping against the glass surface at the intense sensation you felt.
Sanzu stilled his hips as he came and roughly pushed his dick inside you, causing you tiptoe a bit. He moaned against your back, the grip around your knee tightening, a string of profanities slipped past his lips as you rode out his orgasm by clenching around him.
That night, Sanzu came clean to you. He was indeed part of Bonten and even had a high position as the second-in-command. He told you how you were free to terminate the contract between the two of you because he would understand the fear it instilled within you but he did let you know that he would make sure no harm would come your way, if you decided to stay.
It was pretty self explanatory about why he kept you in the dark about the truth about his job, but he also told you how you helped him take his mind off all the fucked up things he has done. Thatâs why he had no problem giving and spending large amounts of money on you, after all, it was just dirty money anyway. He figured he could at least put it to good use.
Sanzu has also opened up about how he had practically stopped popping pills left and right ever since he became your sugar daddy, it was a very different world with you, he felt emotions heâs never felt before and feelings heâs never had before.
The world with Bonten often left him feeling empty, a void where his heart should be that he filled by abusing drugs just to get a quick high to try and forget about the horrors of what he has done to innocent people.
You always thought that Sanzu being your sugar daddy only benefited you, but little did you know it actually benefited him more than you could imagine. You needed his money and he needed your company, you needed each other to get through life.
He asked you that night if you were still going to stay with him despite his criminal status.
If playing with fire was your only ticket to living the lavish lifestyle, then you wouldnât hesitate dancing with the devil in disguise, also known as Haruchiyo Sanzu, Bontenâs second-in-command.

Grown used to

ŕźËâđ・âđŚš.â§Ë
âGood morning alex!â
âHey I got some take out, figured you probably need some food in your system after a long dayâ you said, smiling brightly when alex thanked you for your thoughtfulness.
âFlowers?â you peeked inside her office, holding a boquet of white roses. A habit of yours she's grown used to, until now she still wonders how you know when to get her a fresh batch of roses. Little did she know, you always kept one for yourself. So you know when the time comes that the rose wilts, it's time to buy her another. Just because.
âCoffee?â you'd peek again inside her office, always noticing when she works late. Sometimes, her cases are too tough that she stays up all night. But you knew it wasn't the exact reason why she's working overtime, yet you didn't question anything. She's entitled to her privacy, after all. So you learned to memorize how she liked her coffee, and that alone, never failed to brighten alex's day (she's not about to admit that to you but you'll live.)
âRough day?â you asked as you entered her office, the smell of her favorite food filling alex's senses as she glanced up from the papers she was holding, her heart swelling with warmth. Her heart felt like it was about to leap from her chest at the mere thought of getting taken care of, by you. Something that was once a foreign concept to her, was now something she's grown used to, now that you're here. With you, maybe, just maybe, she can drop her icy facade and for once, just once, be herself.
âDon't be so hard on yourself, Cabot.â your voice snapping her out of her trance, as she glanced up and saw you peeking through her office. Letting out a small chuckle, you always did have a hobby catching her off guard especially when she's overworking herself. A little too much.
Once again, visiting alex's office, you peeked in as you were about to scold her again for working overtime, you saw her sleeping on her desk. Guessing she again forgot to lock her door. Her glasses were still on as you winced, thinking it might be hurting her, noticing the way it's starting to leave a mark on her face. Her hair messy, and she looked quite peaceful. If only you could photograph this moment and keep it inside your wallet forever, you would. You placed the takeout on her desk, taking off her glasses and neatly folding it and placed it back in her case. You crouched down, tucking a strand of her soft hair behind her ears as you smiled. If only she knew.
...
It all happened so quickly, after a night out with a few co workers, things began to change. You've grown more distant from alex, and it didn't take long enough for her to notice. You've beeyn hanging out more with olivia, ever since alex introduced you to her, you've grown closer. At first, alex didn't pay much attention to it, but today, it felt off. You didn't greet her like a usual, no peeking through her door, no usual food takeouts. Nada, nothing.
Of course you felt guilty, it has only been a day and you're already whining like a child with liv. Not even a day in and you've been bothering her nonstop, pleading to spare you the guilt and deprivation of alex's attention, and drop the dare but she remained unfazed. It's only for a couple of days, it can't be that bad.
...
Seeing you with Olivia left a bitter taste on the edge of Alex's tongue, that idea alone, felt nauseating. The way you laughed and talked to her so casually whenever she's around, which happened a lot more than usual whenever she wasn't busy back in the SVU department.
Hugs here and there, you were extra clingy with her. And even though it seemed platonic, in Alex's eyes, it wasn't. She figured that maybe you were attracted to her, which almost made her lose her composure if she wasn't concerned about keeping everything professional about herself.
It took everything in her power not to snatch you away from Benson, or to corner you inside your office and force you to talk to her, anything to get something out of your mouth. She was so close on ripping you away from everyone that gets too close, to ask why you're doing this to her. You were driving her insane, she swore that one of these days, she'd finally lose it. Professionalism and image be damned.
...
It was bad, really bad. You felt guilty, everytime Alex approached you, you'll go out of your way to avoid her. Whenever she's in the same room as you, you'd turn away and leave. Whenever you make eye contact, you're the first one to look away. It stung your heart, more than you can admit. The look in her eyes whenever you avoid her, oh that expressive baby blue eyes. You're screwed.
Whether she admits it or not, Alex was used to having you around. She was so used to you, it's been two days already, and she missed the sound of your voice. Your presence inside her office, your smile, you. She misses you, deeply. So much so that she was willing to set her pride aside and talk to you, only to see you act so indifferent.
That very same day, you barged in her office at nearly midnight while she's busy packing up and getting ready to leave. Holding a boquet of white roses and a chinese takeout, hiccuping as you stumbled closer to her. Your cheeks flushed, clearly, you were in a state of intoxication. Smelling like wine, mixed with your perfume. Oh how alex missed this.
âAlâexâ you said in between sniffles, your hands shaking as you placed the boquet and takeout on her desk and pushing her back on her chair, catching her off guard.
âI'm sorryâ you trailed off, trying hard form a coherent sentence despite being drunk. Hands clutching alex's button down polo as you clung onto her, as she held you in place by holding your waist firmly to stabilize your wobbling feet.
âWhat's gotten into you?â Alex chuckled, rising from her chair as she towered over you with her astounding height. Need less to say, you were a crying mess in her arms.
âI didn't mean to ignore youâ you managed to say in between hiccups, while alex opened a bottle of cold water and placing it in between your lips, gently cupping your cheeks and made you drink. In which you obliged without hesitation, drinking the water down your throat as you looked up to meet her piercing blue eyes.
Once you were done drinking, she grabbed a tissue paper and wiped your lips. Your once tensed body, melted against her caring touch. She waited until you calmed down, then asked why you're drunk.
You explained that you were out drinking with a few friends, including benson. After a few drinks, you excused yourself and ordered a chinese takeout and luckily for you, the flowershop was about to close when you begged the elderly woman to sell her white roses to you. She made an exception, recognizing that it was the young attorney that always helped her. After that, everything was a blur, and the next thing you knew, you were already inside alex's office.
âI didn't mean to-â you paused, a deep sigh escaping your lips. You felt nervous, especially when alex was watching you with pure amusement. âI got dared to avoid you for a couple of days, since they somehow found out that I..â you trailed off.
A moment of silence
âYou what? Tell me.â Alex said, unable to hide the mischief behind her eyes and the way she was smiling, something tells you that she already knows. She was just waiting for you to admit it.
âDo I have to?â you whispered, hiding your face in her neck.
âNone of that, let me see your face.â alex hummed as you pulled away from her neck.
âAlexâ
âMhmm?â
âI like you, alex..â hearing those words, alex smiled.
âNow that wasn't so hard, was it?â she teased, causing you to frown. You pulled away from her, standing awkwardly as you lowered your head, feeling embarrassed to admit your feelings. Clearly, you've underestimated just how drunk you were because the next thing you knew, you fell right back in Alex's arms, passing out.
âI love you, my silly little girl.â alex whispered in your ears..

ruin the friendship â charles leclerc
summary â maybe you were a little more than friends but that was between you, charles and god. nobody else. and you refused to be the one to break the pact. pairing â charles leclerc x you (female reader) rating â 18+ (smut, language, sexual references, probably bad french/italian) word count â 2.5k a/n â âwe passed being friends like 20 fucks agoâ requested by anon. thank you! masterlist
âEverybody get changed for dinner and we will meet downstairs at the restaurant in an hour. Le Bein?â
The group of nearly a dozen of Charlesâ co-workers, employees and friends all nodded in agreement and went their separate ways in the foyer, buzzing about how beautiful the resort was. And it was truly magnificent. Extravagance fortified every wall, even the ceilings. Chandeliers dangling from the rafters above, sparkling and flaunting the huge amount of wealth that was stashed away in the Italian Alps. Eye-watering amounts of wealth.
You werenât enamoured like the rest because simplicity was more your taste, minimalist living was the way of the future and you werenât afraid to voice that to Charles as he walked up beside you, eyes trained on your rolling ones. His hand was dangerously hovering above your lower back, the large puffy jacket the only thing keeping his hot touch barricaded from your cool skin â he couldnât help himself.
âItâs over the top but Ferrari is paying for all of it,â He whispered into your ear, too close for your comfort, especially around his brothers who were no doubt watching your every move â adamantly sceptical that you and Charles were just friends.
âI should report you for misuse of company funds, sir. And if anyone from work asks why I was here when we get back next week â it was a coincidence. Purely happenstance.â
âSi,â Charles drawlled, toggling between his native tongue and Italian, which always threw you off, âYou coming up to my room after dinner will just be some luck too, yes?â
You could hear the smirk on his face before you let your eyes glance his way, breath tickling the hairs on the back of your neck and again, standing way too close for a pair of colleagues who, by chance, had accidentally found themselves in the same place, at the same time. That was the story and you were sticking with it. Unfortunately Charles was a horrible actor â that much was obvious since the moment he sparked up this unlikely romance with you but in his defence, his impulses were intensified after weeks of being away from you. And you felt the same.
The relationship wasn't exclusive by any stretch of the imagination in the beginning, but as time went on, you became loyal to each other. The friends with benefits label was a facade for the public and for your employment but deep down, you both knew there was more to your relationship than just sex. You knew each other so intimately and spent hours staying up âtil dawn, sharing your deepest, darkest secrets. He made you feel safe, like you were more than just a girl who happened to work for the same company he worked for. It was easy to get swept up in the lavish lifestyle and reap the benefits that came with it but Charles saw you differently â saw life differently. And to him, you were the missing piece to his puzzle.
You were friendsâ first â great friends but he was charming and by far the most attractive man youâd ever laid your two eyes on. And by some miracle, he felt the same way about you. But all of that meant your friendship had been compromised, your working relationship was hanging in the balance because if either of you caught feelings and made them public, then youâd have to report it to HR and you didnât want to lose what you had.
Because sneaking around was kind of hot. Or really hot if you asked Charles and you didnât want to burst his bubble. You werenât that selfish and truth be told, you enjoyed the thrill of it. The secret glances from across a table when you were supposed to be taking notes, subtle touches whenever he complimented your suggestions in a meeting and riskiest of all, the quick fucks in his driversâ room between qualifying blocks. That had unabashedly become a perk of your job and a scandal waiting to be blown wide open but you loved it.
âI think it might just be your lucky day, Leclerc,â You replied and looked away from the man who was seconds away from exposing your secret, calling off dinner and dragging you up to his room for dessert. But he was better than that and obviously he could control himself for a couple more hours. Surely.Â
âSee you soon then.â
He looked like a man tortured when you walked into the restaurant, all of your glorious curves swaying side to side, eyes on everyone but him. Since simplicity was your style, youâd gone classic â long, black satin skirt hiding the stilettos you wished you didnât have to wear, paired with a black blazer and a white, lacy bustier top underneath. It was a fancy establishment, which meant everyone was done up to the nines, their best attire on display and you were pleasantly surprised that Charles hadn't caved to the pressure of appearances, marching to the beat of his own drum in a basic black tee. He still looked as delicious as the aperitini heâd already ordered for you, eagerly awaiting your arrival.
âFor me?â You asked him politely, feigning surprise even though these were the little things he would do for you in place of physical touch.
âOf course.â He smiled, delighted that you took the seat directly across from him and not the one being offered to you by his annoying younger brother.
You are beautiful, he mouthed once everyone returned to their 'round the table small talk. You are. Charles had you blushing and fidgeting with your thin gold chain, as if it was first time he'd ever said that to you. It wasn't but it still had you squirming in your seat, grinning like a lunatic.
The 3-course dinner was sensational, and more than satisfied the hunger youâd conjured up during your long day on the slopes and Charles agreed wholeheartedly. He had also worked up quite the appetite retrieving you from the snow every time you stacked it, brushing the ice from your suit and cheeks, lingering longer than he should have. It was great fun but famishing once you all made it back to the resort.
âAll my training has gone down the drain after that meal â my god.â Charles groaned and patted Andrea on the back with a mischievous smile, taunting his trainer and closest confidante. Andrea simply shook his head and muttered something to the effect of vaffanculo before disappearing into the bar with the others, sick of Charles' shit after being stuck with him in the Dolomites for the last 3 weeks.
You and Charles hung back from the group, both waiting for the other to send up the bat signal, or in your case, holding up the three-finger salute. Your first solo hang out â not a date â with Charles was watching the Hunger Games together, snuggled up with a glass of wine. Ever since, your signal to abort mission had been the sign used in that film and more recently itâd become your gesture for sex. Would you have liked it to be a little more sexy? Sure but it did the job.
âPeople are going to miss you, ma belle,â Charles whispered between the soft kisses he was sloppily pressing to your trembling lips, backing you against the only blank wall in the room.
âDonât care.â You rasped, moans caught in your dry throat as you felt a pair of cold hands unzipping the long silk skirt youâd worn to dinner and gliding it down your shaky legs like it was as light as a feather.
A small gasp slipped from your lips as you caught Charlesâ dark eyes again, his soft laugh fanning warmth across your face, "All I've been able to think about tonight is this..." He stammered off with a smirk before running his hands down your sides, pushing the thin blazer off your shoulders and gaining full access to the length of your neck.
You moaned quietly and brushed your dainty fingers through his soft, dark brown locks, "It's all I've wanted since we got here," You whispered and rested your head back against the wall, enjoying the feeling of his hands smoothing down your to your ass.
"You're so fucking beautiful,"Â Charles growled against the tops of your breasts that were being pushed up by the tight bustier top, leaving you breathless and shaky under his touch. He got off on having complete control over your body, especially like this â desperate and panting for him in the darkness.
Charles dropped down to his knees and pushed his hands up under the hem of your top so he could access the waistband of your panties. You were spellbound now with your eyes closed and heart thumping in your chest, head dizzy and skin sizzling as he trailed his hands down your thighs, gliding your flimsy underwear down far enough that you could step out of them without needing to look.
"So sexy."Â Charles groaned at the sight of the dark red lace that had been hidden by your skirt, his hot breath now fanning over your shaky legs that were now completely bare and exposed to the cool air, even though your were burning up, "Le rouge n'a jamais ĂŠtĂŠ aussi beau." Red never looked so good.
His large hands gripped you thighs and roughly separated them in front of his mouth, every single little movement riling you up even more. Charles was ravenous, hungry to devour your after hours of deprivation â starved of your taste, of his name falling from your lips. He needed it, needed you to sing his praises, beg him for more and you never disappointed.
Your fingers brushed back up the side of his head as he hooked your leg over his shoulder and buried his tongue between your thighs, sending you into overdrive and taking your breath away. Your hands instantaneously gripped the tuft of brown waves on top of his head, trying to control the moans that were threatening to escape your chapped lips, his fingers doing the work of a maestro, orchestrating your body like a symphony.
"Feels so good,"Â You whined as Charles grunted, mouth still attached to your cunt as he readjusted your leg on his strong, muscular shoulder, deepening the achingly perfect angle even further and making your already shaky legs start to tremble with pleasure.
Charles took your sensitive clit between his teeth, gently and pressed his free hand that wasn't clutching your thigh to your stomach, balancing you as best he could as you uncontrollably bucked your hips, riding his perfectly flat tongue. You placed your smaller hand over his and arched into his face, trying to alleviate the knot building in the pit of your stomach. He felt so fucking good and looked even better when you did dare open your eyes, peering down into his sinful ones.
The small smirk that appeared on Charlesâ dimpled cheeks when your gaze met his was enough to send you spiralling into a whimpering mess, unable to stop the loud moan that ripped from your constricted throat â you were getting closer with every single teasing stoke he gave you, his thick fingers fucking you into a blackout and you were losing it. He muffled a laugh and didn't relent one bit as you white knuckled his wrist, attempting to hold in the noises that were so close to escaping, jaw clenched.
"I wanna hear you, bella â let me hear you,"Â Charles panted as he glanced up and continued to taunt you, âI want to hear you moaning for me like this for the rest of my fucking life.â
Even in your orgasmic haze, you furrowed your already rutted brows at his comment, head throw back, still whimpering, âFriends donât say that to each other, Charles.â You breathed, gliding on his unrelenting fingers, his pace slowing as he processed your words.
Charles scoffed and pulled back from your pulsing core, eyes trained on yours as he pressed a sweet kiss to your thigh, voice hoarse. âI think we passed âjust friendsâ about 20 fucks ago, baby. You donât have to pretend when itâs just you and me.â
It took you a second until you nodded silently, agreeing that you didnât need to keep the act up with him. You brushed your fingers that had been knotted in his thick, beautiful hair, down the sides of his glistening face, lips raw and looking like a mirage.
âI like it when itâs just you and me.â
If you blinked, you thought he may disappear from your vision but he made sure you knew he was real, kitten licking your sensitive bud and reassuring you that he wasnât just a figment of your imagination.
âMe too.â He whispered.
It didnât take long for Charles to resume his toe-curling assault, sending every nerve in your system into lockdown as he pushed you closer and closer to the edge. Heâd put both of your feet on the ground, thighs spread as far as they go so you could ride his face, insisting that you came like that for him. The feeling of having every breath suppressed from his lungs while you let yourself go on his tongue, fingernails clawing at the skin on your thighs was worth the rush of blood to his brain. His face was beet-red, pupils blown out and he was achingly hard, scared he was going to blow in his pants like a prepubescent teen.
"Oh my fucking god, Charles,"Â You moaned loudly as he reached up and pressed his palm firmly on your flushed chest, needing to feel your heart thumping under your skin, making him feel alive.
"I've got you."
"I'm â baby, Iâm right there!"Â You cried out, head thrown back against the wall again as Charles eased you through your earth shattering high, panting and sweltering under his touch.
Loud moans echoed through the hotel room as he lapped up everything you had to give, holding you in place and making sure you were completely satisfied before removing his shaky fingers and pressing a couple of pecks to your reddening thighs â no doubt leaving bruises from his tight grip. You couldnât wait to feel those small reminders of his touch in the morning. It took a good couple of seconds for your mind and body to float back down from the clouds above and god, it was a gorgeous sight when you did come to.
"You are so good at that,"Â You breathed as Charles used your hips to drag himself up off the carpeted floor, hands still clutching your waist to also keep your knees from buckling. He knew you too well.
The sensation of his swollen lips kissing yours brought you back and without hesitation, you hooked your arms over his shoulders and deepened the kiss. His hands snaked around your lower back, bodies flush and you could finally feel how hard he was underneath his trousers.
Knowing Charles was that turned on from making you feel ethereal triggered a proud smirk to sweep across your flushed face, âWould you like some help with this, friend?â You teased, reaching down for the button on his pants, flicking it open with ease.
âItâs what friends are for, no?â He cockily replied before you clutched his stiff cock in your palm, causing him to gasp at the sensation.
âAbsolutely would love your help â thank you very much,â Charles quickly added, desperate for your attention as he captured your lips in a rough kiss and nudged your body towards his messy bed.
âThatâs what I thought,â You chuckled into the kiss, letting him cash in every single benefit he could imagine. All night long.
let me know what you think!

Hi, sorry for the bad language and my inexperience with the app. I really like Damon and have a lot of questions.
1. If MC didn't work at a convenience store but was his co-worker at a flower shop, would he still flirt with her or would he have a different way of flirting with her?
2. What if the MC were the one to flirt and fell in love with him first ,will he be okay?
3.In the game I thought his dialogue was very good. It was as if he was a calm person. If the MC is a girlfriend who is impatient and talks badly sometimes Will he still love she? I'm afraid his heart will hurt when the MC gets irritated with him.
4.When he gets angry at the MC, what kind of expression does he show? So what should the MC do to make him stop being angry?
5. If the MC really loves making desserts Would he be okay if she let him eat dessert every day?
Hello đ and welcome to tumblr ^^ I've only figured out the basics here too, anything else confuses me and gives me anxiety đ so I feel your pain.
I would like to mention again that if English is not your native language, you are welcome to send questions in your language instead :)
Sure, I don't see why they wouldn't flirt. You can bet that Damon will go to work with you every day in this scenario. He will pick you up from home and accompany you home. His attachment/ clinginess will become very apparent here.
It doesn't really matter who falls in love first. He'll be more than okay with it :)
Thank you. I actually worry a lot about the dialogue I write and usually think it's very bad đ
Good that not everyone thinks like me :D Damon will always love you, even if you were yelling at him. He doesn't like to be yelled at of course, but that won't stop him from loving you. He's very patient and understanding, and would always forgive you, even if you didn't apologize. He's too much of a doormat in that regard xD
You can actually see his angry expression in Day 1 when you choose to be dismissive of him. I encourage everyone to try all options if you haven't done that yet. I would say just apologize, give him a hug or kiss and tell him how much you love him. That's all it takes to make him stop being angry. He's a simple man when it comes to you :D
Of course. He would never say no to a dessert, especially not if it was made by you <3

âď¸ Scorpio & Sagittarius are a good example for understanding the deeper meaning of life with questions like âWhy am i here?â âWhat is my purpose?â etc. They often question the meaning of life.
âď¸ 8th house Gemini always talking about sex but are rather interested in the mental side of the relationships instead of the sexual. Tendency to black-white thinking.

âď¸ Lilith in the 3rd house people tend to steal, cheat, lie or fake documents. Always fighting with their siblings.
âď¸ Venus Opposition Moon have complicating relationships, more the type for one night stands. Its hard to cooperate with them because their needs are quite the opposite of what they feel. You have high expectations of your partner. Maybe try loving yourself first before loving others.
âď¸ Gemini Risings fall for anyone whoâs funny, they need partners that are charismatic and relatable. They smile a lot when their lover is around. Their first thought in the morning is usually; âWhere is my phone?â
âď¸ Lilith in the fourth house have a challenging relationship with the family or mother, might be someone with toxic roots.
âď¸Taurus 5th house ppl love collectables like funko pop figures, trading cards or even collecting video game consoles.

âď¸ Lilith in the 10th have compromises at work and a complicated public image. They can be harsh towards their co-workers.
âď¸ Pluto Sextile Ascendant like to be with ppl one-on-one instead of being in a group full of people. Might be explorative of the taboo areas of sexuality, especially domination, whips, leather, etc. (Fifty shades of grey, thatâs all iâm sayingđ¤)
âď¸ Capricorn Moon are the ones annoying everyone and at the same time feel annoyed by everyone. (If that makes sense lol) Its giving ENTJ personality type. They never know how they feel, their mood can go up and down. Hate when people talk behind their back, feels like everyone betrays them.
âď¸ Lilith in the 11th you might have obsessions about the future, your friend group can have a bad influence on you.
âď¸ Libra Risings struggle the most deciding what to wear, they always say smth like âI have nothing to wearâ when their closet is a whole mall shop of clothing. They can easily get offended by others opinions since theyâre sensitive & canât handle criticism very well. They love following fashion trends.
âď¸ MC in a fire sign gives leadership abilities and big chances of huge success in their career. They need a job that motivates them and usually know exactly what kind of job they want.
âď¸ Mars in Scorpio are somehow really into playing the drums. Females with this placement could be âtomboyâ like, since this Mars is more masculine.
âď¸ Is there a specific reason that especially people with earth signs in their big 3 are interested in fantasy fiction including; harry potter, lord of rings, star wars and so on?
âď¸ Saturn in the 3rd are normally the type who hates small talk, has a small social circle & usually avoids going to parties. Might also prefer texting instead phone calls or facetime.
âď¸ Venus in Aries love jewellery especially earrings or rings in general. Buy them any jewellery as long as it suits their skin tone.
âď¸ Rahu in Leo & Ketu in Aquarius start listening to your heart instead of your head. Avoid being emotional detached and let go of the habit having to âfit inâ.
âď¸ Venus in Aquarius may appear shy at first, but deep down they are extroverted. They fall for intelligent, unique and independent lovers. They might not show that they care, but deep down they do. They seek pleasure in business or technology.
âď¸ Venus/Mars in Scorpio its important for you to understand your deeper emotions and know what you want. You are charismatic and fall for emotional intelligence & for dynamic and powerful partners.
âď¸ Fama (408) Conjunct Jupiter is such a important indicator for getting famous one day, even in persona charts. Having this placement in of your persona charts (check your dom planets & their persona charts) can be so important too.
âď¸ Venus in Aries (again) are impulsive at love, the relationship gotta be exciting or theyâll loose interest/feelings quick. Give them a reason to stay with you, winning their heart over is not easy at all. Check on them 24/7 or else you make them feel unworthy or unloved.
âď¸ Leo Risings are such people pleasers (at times) but they are always attracted to popular people or ppl that are unique, really open and playful.
âď¸ Industria (389) in the 2nd house can make it look so easy to make money, even when they get fired and loose their job, they still find a way making money. Although they never run out of money, ever.
âď¸ The 12th house can show what you lack the most. For ex. Taurus in the 12th: lack of trust, security, stability. Cancer in the 12th: lack of kindness, empathy, a home, emotions. Saturn in the 12th has a tendency to self harm.
âď¸ Sagittarius in the big 3âs or having Sagittarius 9°, 21° degrees makes someone have the best. humor. ever. Showing comedy tv shows or anything associated with comedy is their absolute favourite thing to do. guys Iâll recommend minions on this one.
âď¸ Saturn in the 12th house individuals biggest fear might be dying alone. They often feel guilty and might be artistic or at least have writing skills. They could have wanted to kill themselves before or even tried doing it.
âď¸ Jupiter in the 11th house if Jupiter is weak, the natives tend to overeat and overdrink & can easily get addicted to alcohol. If Jupiter is well aspected, they are blessed with good-looking partners and a happy marriage.
sorry it took me so long to make this post, Iâm so proud of you guys we almost made it to 600 followers! :P

`` You're too kind to me, [Y/N]-kun. ``
[ â Dazai x m!reader ]
[ â Dazai had believed he was straight for a while, until he met the ADA's newest client, and the prettiest man he's ever seen. ]
[ â aka; you're Dazai's gay awakening ]
[ â Notes: reader is referred to with he/him pronouns ]
Dazai was a womanizer, the whole Agency knew that well. He'd always try to show his interest in the female clients he deemed beautiful, or the poor mistress in his favourite cafĂŠ, to no avail. His dream of dying with a pretty woman would have to wait, it seemed.
He didn't think anything of you at first. From what he'd heard, you were just like any other client. But then, you showed up at the office, and, for the first time, he was left speechless.
He could only stare at you trough uncharacteristic puppy eyes. Your pretty face, your beautiful hair, the way you carried yourself--
"Uh.. hey."
Your voice snapped him out of his dreamland. He blinked at you for a few moments before clearing his throat and getting himself together.
"Hey, you must be the new client!" He stretched his hand out toward you, which you promptlu accepted, and took on that goofy personality he put on with clients. "The name's Dazai. Uh.." he snapped his fingers, trying to remember your name.
"[Y/N]."
"Right!" He smiled at you. You were unaware of just how deeply he scratched your name into his brain to make sure he never forgot. "Anyway, let's chat then, hm?"
The two of you sat down as you explained why you had seeked out the ADA. Dazai listened, occasionally interrupting with witty and silly comments.
But trough it all, he could only think of one thing:
"Holy shit. Am I really gay?"
"He's more attractive than any woman I've ever seen.."
The issue you came to them for was sorted out pretty easily, but Dazai didn't want you to leave just yet.
"Hey, hey-" he grabbed your hand just as you turned to leave. "There's this cafĂŠ downstairs, nobody ever goes there except for us." He nodded towards his co-workers, who were too busy with their own work to notice his attempt at calling you on a date. "If you're free tomorrow, would you be my guest there?"
He watched you ponder his words for a bit before nodding. "Sure. I don't have anything else to do."
He internally melted at the sight of your smile, but he didn't show any of that.
"Great! See you there, [Y/N]-kun!"
"..so, I guess it's just my luck."
Dazai listened as you finished telling a story. While you were focused on that, his gaze was focused on your face. You acted much more casual than yesterday, probably because this wasn't about business anymore.
"Ah, that sucks," he replied with a sigh. "Buy hey, that's life for you."
You raised an eyebrow at his statement. "..You're not very optimistic, are you?"
He gave you a big grin and shook his head. "Not at all!"
You crossed your arms and stared at him for a moment longer. "You're weird, Osamu." He was about to interrupt, when you continued, "That's not a bad thing, though."
He took that as a compliment.
"You're too kind to me, [Y/N]-kun."
You shook your head and let out a resigned sigh. "Sure."

~ Biker!Wriothesley x Baker!Reader
- ofcourse visits you everyday!! mostly in the night though. he always order an americano and you sometimes slip in a treat for him (you try to not make anyone notice).
- HE LIKES TO FLIRT WITH YOU INFRONT OF YOUR CO-WORKERS. like legit dude will try to embarrass you by claiming youâre his.
- sometimes you come to his illegal motorbike tournament.. but youâre always there to support him. you often bring a left over treat from your bakery since itâs better to atleast try to eat the cold goodies instead of throwing it in the trash⌠right?
- if you got the last shift of the day, he always wait for you âtill youâre done so he can give you a ride home. giving you a ride home doesnât mean home âhomeâ but ofcourse going to some other places first! And yeah you arrive at home atleast 2 hours after he âtook you a ride homeâ.
- you two met up when his friend introduced him to a cozy cafe (that youâre working at) and ofcourse he was underestimating youđ. but yk enemies to lovers whatsoever
- you used to be scared of motorcycles since they go fast fast. but whenver you both go out, it only felt comforting. he always make sure you wrap your arms around him real tight T-T
- one time out of nowhere you tried to make him a motorbike cream on his coffee but it turned out like a horse insteadâŚ
~ ficlet ~
a bell was heard from the door, signaling someone entered the cafe. ofcourse your mind got to a guy, a guy who always order the same drink everyday. It was late in the night anyway, noone would come in this specific time except him. you got into the cashier position and notice him opening his helmet. âif it isnât my pretty girl who awaits for meâ he greeted with a wink. to your embarrassment you rolled your eyes playfully and gave him his order since you already made him one. you knew what time he will arrive so why not make it an instant order? special only for him. âjust like the usual I know, I knowâ âwhatâs so bad about it?â âyouâre too monotone you know..â he chuckled as he took a sip of the americano. that bickering of you two got away for too long it passed the closing time for the cafe. âoh shoot! Iâm supposed to close this minutes ago-!â you tried to hurry up and tidy everything meanwhile he was chilling out, sipping his cup of americano that has gone cold. âperhaps you could open it an hour or two..â âyeah maybe if I was the owner!â after atleast 15 minutes, you eventually close the shop and exited. the streets were only filled with the light of the street lamp. not much cars were passing by, it was a calm. thatâs only when wrio started his motorcycle, the sound of it interrupting the cricket sound. âsooo you wanna just stand there or what?â you got back into realization and noticed he was already there, waiting for you. âOh yeah right..â You hang on to him tight as your cheeks got squished onto his back. he started the motorcycle and headed to the park like usual. just then you noticed the stars were fully covering the dark night as the moon shined bright upon the streets. you felt comfort in the night, especially when heâs with you.

Might write this into a full story- depends. Salaryman!NanamixReader! -canon adjacent ramble-
â(Y/N) are you ready for lunch?â
A simple question shouldnât have shocked you so much but, coming from Nanami Kento it did.
You were attractive. You didnât believe that or at least not to the extent Nanami had explained but, you were. You gained so much attention at the office that all went unnoticed by you. From bosses, coworkers, random delivery guys- it was madness basically. And you were just at your desk, not a care in the world, just thinking how nice everyone is at this job.
Everyone knew, especially Nanami. Unlike the others, he was a professional and never let himself get sucked into your orbit. He thought you were an admirable worker and you seemed nice. At the end of the day though you were just another coworker at the company he hated. He would catch you staring at him sometimes. He would pretend not to notice but it had started to get annoying. It was only after he noticed how you avoided the copy room did he understand: you can see curse spirits too.
He felt bad for you. You obviously didnât know anything about curses or sorcery and now your work area isnât safe. As long as you werenât attacked he thought it would be okay to ignore it but the stressed expression you wore when asked to make a copy or go get some documents ate away at him. Nanami started to coveiently be around the copy room at the same time as you. And the strange little creature in the corner always seemed to be gone. You also felt lighter for the first time in years. You spent most of your life in constant fear of little creatures and dark energies you felt all around you. It plagued you as a child and your parents could never console you. You eventually learned to just deal with it. You had been able to get by the past couple of years without much trouble until you started working and saw it. A tiny, creepy, rat-like-fly-like-bird-like creature. It was hideous. But when Nanami would follow behind you to the copy room it never seemed to be there. In fact, you felt light around him. Like a weight was lifted off your shoulders.
This became your routine. Nanami didnât seem to mind. You were constantly surrounded by others so he assumed you didnât notice him. Not until one long company outing. You hated these. Nanami hated these. Thatâs probably why you were both drinking so heavily, the only two non-lightweights. All your co-workers were absolutely gone including your supervisors. It didn't take long before everyone called it quits. While standing outside, idly swaying, you spoke to Nanami in the longest conversation you two have ever had. You admitted that you felt safe around him, safer than you did at home. It almost felt like the horrid feeling you got at work suddenly transferred to your home. Nanami, being the gentleman he is, offered to take you home and you (still drunk) said âYouâd rather spend time at his home just to keep feeling safe tonight.
Thatâs how you found yourself in Nanamiâs large bed, in his moderate apartment, not as hung-over as you thought you would be. You walked out of the room to the smell of breakfast being made. You noticed a spare pillow and blanket on the couch as you st at the breakfast bar.
âGood Morning.â He said âCoffee or tea.â
âTea.â You replied softly, âI didnât mean to steal your bed.â
âItâs fine, you fell asleep in the taxi, I didnât want to wake you.â
âOh god,â you whined inwardly, âDid I say anything embarrassing?â
âYou said you felt safe with me.â He said in a monotone voice as if theat wasnât the most embarrassing thing to be told at 8 am.
You laid your head down on the counter top. This day could not get worse.
Nanami found it somewhat endearing. He decided that today was not a good day to tell you about curses. Now he just wanted you to feel better.ââ Instead of it being awkward, you two became somewhat closer. Work friends at least. It turned to actual friends and somewhat more. You didnât really know what to call it, he felt like a boyfriend though. Nanami never protested you saying so. During work hours you stayed friendly and cooperative. Despite his apartement being bigger, Nanami enjoyed your home instead. He insisted that laying in your bed was better. He would jokingly say it was to keep you safe.
So yeah! It was a bit of a shock to you and the surrounding co-workers when Nanami-I-hate-work-Kento suddenly asked you to lunch and addressed you by your FIRST NAME.
âU-Uh, yeah. C-Coming.â You stumbled over your words and handed the paperwork to the coworker.
âOh I thought we could get lunch today.â He said
âSorry, Kento and I already had plans.â You replied with an embarrassed smile. It felt strange calling him by his first name in front of others. It was kind of nice too.
âSo what was that,â You smiled as you both sat down for lunch.
âWhat was what?â He replied plainly.
âYou seemed a little upset that Takahiro was going to ask me out for lunch.â
âReally? I didnât notice him.â
You chuckled, âYou also called me (Y/N).â
âI should have checked first, Iâm sorry.â
âNo. I like it. I would like it if you called me that all the time. I wonât be here long anyway.â You smiled. Kento often spoke about how you garnered attaentioned but you didnât notice until this last month when you announced you were transferring.
âAlright I will then.â Kento said with a small hint of a smile. âIâll be leaving a little after you.â
âAre you transferring?â
âNo, I talk to an old classmate of mine. They found a mentorship for me, itâs at my old highschool.â
âThatâs sweet!â You swooned, âThose kids would be lucky to have you.â
âI hope so. I want to give them the guidance I wish I had back then.â
After your lunch you both made your way back to the building. You both noticed a definite shift in the air. Takahiro must have spread the word already. It didnât matterm you were both going to be out of this place so any idle gossip meant nothing. The day ended and you were about to part ways when he handed you his spare key. âI have to meet with my classmate for a bit, would you mind going over to my place?â
âYeah, itâs no problem.â You seemed a little skeptical.
âThereâs also something I wanted to talk with you about, I wonât be long. Donât worry about cooking, I'll bring dinner.â He said as a black car rounded the corner.
âIs it something bad?â You asked.
âNo, just important before I take this big step. I know I have your full support but I want you to know everything before I do.â
The car pulled in front of you both, the window rolled down and there sat a man with short parted black hair and black rimmed glasses. He spoke, âNanami-san.â
âText me when you get there.â Kento said as he reached for the door.
âOkay.â You smiled. He leaned over to give you a kiss and stepped into the backseat of the black car. You waved him off befoer turning towards the train station.
âItâs good to see you again, Nanami-san.â Ijichi said.
âIjichi-san. Could you not mention anything you saw to anyone?â The two men made eye contact through the rearveiw mirror. A silent agreement was made. Nanami hadnât fully agreed yet but keeping you out of the way of the higher ups took priority. He needed to make sure you knew exactly what those creatures were. What jujutsu sorcery was. What you were possibly risking by staying with him. He had to do it tonight while you still had a chance to leave. He loves you. He canât tell you that though. He needed to make sure you wouldnât stay if you had the choice.
He needed to keep you safe.
