+Where do you publish your work? ao3! 

+What medium/application/etc. you use? google docs! which is ok for fanfic writing, bc copyright is already owned by somebody else. (google technically owns everything u upload to their cloud/drive... which is only a problem for u if u start making money off ur original content, bc nobody steals worthless shit. if u expect to make money off ur intellectual property, i’d keep it off google jic.) 

+Do you collaborate with others? a lot of my jokes + characterizations come out of chats with my beta, but as for writing - my beta is my beta bc i trust her quality of work, and she has free rein over my crap to insert/delete at will bc i know whatever she does will be good. i don’t know any other writers that well, let alone any writers who have a similar enough style/sense of humor for us to produce a cohesive piece without both of us wanting to strangle each other.  

+How much editing do you do before you publish? i edit in real time, while writing, then do a last pass, then my beta does a last pass and then we fire that fucker out into the world

+Do you listen to music while you write? can’t. i once turned in an essay freshman year of hs with lady gaga lyrics typed halfway through a sentence bc i literally start typing what i hear

+How do you decide what to write about? my brain independently generates plots, scenarios, characters, jokes and god knows whatever else literally 100% of the time. when it starts showing me actual pre-formed sentences i start writing them down. 

+When do you write? on the train, on the toilet, at my desk, in bed, literally whenever the sentences start coming (and a lot when the sentences have to be pried out like motherfucking teeth). i write primarily using google docs on my phone, then do last passes + final stretch crapouts on the laptop

+How often do you write? Every day, but a lot of it is scrap. sometimes the sentences i produce have NOTHING to do with the projects i’m trying to finish and are from a completely random irrelevant different story that dies immediately after i exorcise the damn things. anything that makes it past 5k generally gets consideration for actual published fic. most do not make it that far, or die after due to lack of plot. my morgue files are insane. 

+Do you take requests? NOT ON YOUR LIFE LMAOOOOOOOOOO

+Is there a genre or type of story you want to write but are hesitant to? i’m not really hesitant to write anything - there’s things i don’t particularly enjoy writing or that don’t come naturally (porn) and things i don’t give a damn about, but my approach to “i am bad at thing” is to get better at the thing. this is my hobby - if i wanna write something, i do :) 

+Any inspirational quotes, videos, tricks, articles, etc that help you stay motivated? SOMETIMES WRITING IS BORING. COMMITMENT IS WHAT GETS SHIT DONE. sometimes you have to haul your ass through a bunch of scenes that need to happen and it feels like hauling cement!! that’s fine!! it’s work!! yell about it!! but if you’ve committed to finishing the story, and the story requires cement, SOMETIMES YOUR ASS IS GONNA BE BORED. find a way to kick through.

Whatever progress he may have made is irreversibly related to covert warfare (the job he clearly wanted to quit) or Nazi hunting (the job he would, all told, rather not be doing), and if there’s any bigger representative of “the past coming back to haunt you” than Bucky Barnes turning up in evil bondage gear, Sam doesn’t want to find it.
