Hmm... this is hard HAHA I can't think of any atm! I always love Pokémon au's, so anything I love in the Pokémon universe will be fun! Oh, and the other day I watched Death Note right before I went to sleep and had a Light Yagami!Hemlock dream which was...an experience. Not sure how a Death Note Star Wars universe would work, a lot of stuff would need to be changed, but it would be funny as hell.

Q - A fandom you’ve abandoned and why?

Another hard one, I don't really abandon fandoms, I just...stop liking shows as much and don't feel the "need" to interact with them anymore. I guess I still really enjoy Gravity Falls, but don't engage with the fandom at all anymore except when I'm feeling nostalgic. I didn't even know about the current countdown on the website until last night! I used to be ALL on top of that!

W - A trope which you are virtually certain to hate in any fandom

I'm not sure if the question means fanfic tropes or au's or what. So I'll just list some stuff in general fandom spaces I don't like bc I'm a hater. If you like these, MORE POWER TO YOU! I'm sure there's HEAPS of stuff I like that you don't! Live laugh love <3

I don't like coffee shop au's, florist au's, the "omg they turned into a baby and the other/s have to look after them!" trope, honestly not a huge fan of soulmate au's, dont like a/b/o at all sorry.

I HATE it when certain characters (COUGH COUGH WRECKER, COUGH COUGH PINKIE PIE) get get infantilised/woobiefied despite being grown adults just because they're a bit silly. I DO NOT LIKE IT when grown adults are reduced to The Mum Of The Group™ for...no reason. Yes, that last point is about fanon Echo. I do not like fanon Echo and I am not in the mood to talk about why rn HAHA.

Anon, honestly there are more but saying the real heavy-hitting will get me assassinated by the fandom secret service.

O - Choose a song at random. Which ship or character does it remind you of?

I don't really think of pre-existing characters or ships when I listen to music, to be honest! When I listen to music, I primarily see if it can remind me of one of my oc's. And you know, if I actually enjoy the song or not. So I won't be able to answer this question, either!

That being said, Brutus by The Buttress (I LIKED THE SONG BEFORE TIKTOK FOUND IT!) reminds me of Captain Rex. Not because of the "My name is Brutus, but the people will call me Rex" line, but because the theme and story of the song matches up with my personal headcanon of the clones secretly holding grudges against the Jedi for always, even if unintentionally, being famed and loved throughout the galaxy for being peacekeepers and fighting the war while it was actually the clones on the front line dying, with lifespans too short for the senate to seriously consider actually giving rights to. For most clones, it was a mild annoyance. For others, it was a real grievance.

I like to think, in my interpretation, the line "I don't want want you have, I want to be you" has two meanings. The first: Those jealous clones maybe didn't mind carrying out Order 66. Of course, it's wrong. The Jedi did their best. But if I were a clone...yeah. I might harbour some ill feelings towards the sect of people using me like that. I would want to be appreciated as more than a solider, I'd want the right to choose. I'd want to be them.

The other meaning I have relates more to Rex himself. I wonder how much pain and guilt he's felt since the ship went down with Jesse and the others still in it. He is one of few left to pick up the scraps and continue fighting what seems to be a hopeless battle without resources or assurance. He's the one people turn to, now. How often does he think of Jesse, or Cody, or Fives, or Kix? How many times has he remembered the total lack he had when he was trying to kill Ahsoka, and ordering his men to do the same? Watching his own body and voice act unable to stop it... I think it eats away at him. I think he has major survivors guilt. I think he sometimes, privately, secretly, wishes he were Jesse or Ridge or Fives. I think he wishes he were dead. "I don't want what you have, I want to be you". He wouldn't feel as horrible. He wouldn't feel anything. He'd see them again.

I know neither of these headcanons are popular, nor well-thought out atm HAHA but that's what I feel!

Cutie mark Tattoo Friendship Is Magic: The Next Generation begins thirty years after the birth of Princess Flurry Heart, and the story is... a bit darker and more complicated than My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic before it. It delves into the backstory around Alicorns, where they came from, why Discord is the only Draconequus, and who is the prisoner in the deepest darkest cell of the cosmic oubliette that is Tartarus... (And admittedly, FIM:TNG does take some liberties with the events of MLP:FIM, mostly in regards to Equestria Girls and all episodes after and including The Cutie Re-Mark. That will become more apparent when it comes to the character bios for Sunset Shimmer, Flash Sentry, Starlight Glimmer, and others.) Now, I have done this for years now online, but I think it deserves attention here: whenever I discuss a couple, I always use an ampersand "&" between their names, whereas with platonic pairs/groups, I use the word "and" instead. And also, I think we all take it for granted that same-sex couples in Friendship Is Magic headcanons can have kids. I mean, magic is a thing in this universe, and it's not ENTIRELY written off that sex-changes could happen with magic. Or just, you know, other options with the magic to allow two mares or two stallions to have children together. Anyway, moving on.

This is Octavio Slate Pie, Pinkie's brother. Yes, he is technically a character from Pony Life, but bear with me on this. It will make sense in a little bit. Because, you see, this interpretation of Octavio Pie appeared in the original show. You may also notice that his color scheme and cutie mark are extremely familiar...

Marble Pie always felt great discomfort in her own body. She hated to speak and so mostly relied on her twin Pinkamena to do the talking for them. And after Pinkie got her cutie mark and became so much more talkative, this became much more convenient. Marble let her mane grow out and hid her face with it. She stayed mostly in the farm, and with Maud off to earn her rocktorate and Pinkie off in Ponyville spreading her brand of cheer, Marble's oldest sister Limestone was left to run the farm with her more mellow parents tending to the gruntwork. (As Earth Ponies, they would retain their vigor for far longer than Unicorns or Pegasi.)

And then Marble met Big McIntosh. It was the greatest Hearth's Warming Eve gift that Marble could have ever received, though not in the way that an outsider could have reckoned. Marble herself thought that she loved him at first, and her heart ached that he could have his own special somepony when he came with Sugar Belle the next Hearth's Warming. But as she thought about it, and how she felt about herself, Marble realized that she didn't love Big McIntosh like that. Rather, she wanted to be like him. Marble Pie wanted to be a stallion.

It took more willpower than he could have thought to come out to his older twin. Pinkie was visiting for their birthday and exclaimed that she was so happy to have planned the surprise birthday party for herself and her baby twin sister. "...not your sister." It was the most he had said at once in a long time. He continued, "...your b-b-brother." Pinkie's confusion gave way to absolute joy. She had a baby twin brother now! She had to change her plans post-haste! This would also be an introduction of her brother to everypony!

As for his name, he always loved the name of his cellist cousin Octavia Melody. He wrote it down as the male version Octavio, and it just felt right. His middle name of Slate comes from the metamorphic rock.

In no time, Octavio was the scene of the party (which he interjected himself into the planning for). He spoke more in one minute than he had in several years. To many, it seemed like the backlog of words he'd held back as a mare and filly had come spilling out now that he was a stallion. He cut his mane and tail short, no longer hiding his face. Applying for transitional spells and potions, his features became more pronounced, his voice deepening. Though he wouldn't talk nearly as much as he had at his birthday/coming-out party, Octavio became a much more sociable and open pony than he had ever been as Marble. He finally felt like he fit in his own body. He was finally happy.

For a short period, Octavio took up the same sort of role as party-planner as his twin, to the point that many would have called his parties Pinkie Pie Parties by mistake. This led to several misunderstandings when Pinkie received rave reviews for parties she definitely didn't remember planning. They had all the hallmarks of her parties, though, so only one pony could have put them through: her brother. She confronted him, fearful that he was trying to outdo her, outshine her. Octavio insisted he would never; she was the first one who he'd confessed to of feeling like a stallion. After more discussion, Octavio decided to take a different path with his party plans. He wouldn't use Pinkie's ideas, but his own.

Having opened up finally, Octavio Pie is bursting with self-confidence, to the point of smugness. While this means that he will not hesitate to do something that is firmly in his wheelhouse, he can unfortunately put others off. When it comes to one specific situation, though, he can soften his behavior and project profound empathy: supporting foals struggling with dysphoria. He hates to imagine foals being in the same position he'd been in for years: hating his body, hating his voice, feeling like an alien in his own skin and bones. With his own brand of parties and penchant for providing pet rocks, he yearns to help these foals enter their new identities with the happiest moments yet in their lives.

Octavio no longer lives at the Pie Family Farm, but travels Equestria with his wife planning parties. He specializes in coming-out parties. Among the foals he has thrown such parties for were Piñata Apple and Pumpkin Sweet. At a certain point he got a tattoo on his right foreleg representing his "bolt from the blue" revelation of being a stallion, and it serves as more of a symbol of an Octavio-brand coming-out party than his own cutie mark. He also may or may not have a touch of "Pinkie being Pinkie" that was awakened after his own coming-out, but anypony who knows will neither confirm nor deny.

(also, I know that octavio's cutie mark in pony life is different from marble's and not a tattoo, but everypony's cutie mark is different in pony life, so if you take issue, kindly shut up)

aaaaaa im sorry this is a little late i’ll try n come up with some stuff

i’ve been rewatching the series again so i could clock in more hours on watching the later seasons and i had some thoughts

-pinkie pie and marble pie are twins, (which sort of throws a wrench in the whole, pinkie pie is a child of uhh... “adultery” headcanon) i think the reason pinkie came out all pink is bc she’s directly linked to (or the most linked to) the elements of harmony, i like to imagine bc pinkie is an earth pony with her own kind of magic that is unique to her, she’s got some sort of celestial power linked to her element, i like to imagine next to twilight, she has the most powerful magical presence when it comes to friendship 

-the idea of applejack being so curt, rowdy, and a big liar as a child actually makes me ship appledash a bit more? it’s like that scene from brooklyn nine nine where Jake finds out Holt was like a huge reckless badass as a younger man and Jake says “i think i’d like young Holt” and Holt is like “yeah that’s why i changed everything about myself” 

like... that scene but with a teenage rainbowdash and applejack

as kids i bet they’d be so rowdy and make a huge mess and maybe as AJ gets older there’s a bit of a drift between them that’s where i like to put in like... @ask-human-appletrash ‘s headcanons of like Dash running off with Gilda to pursue a more damaging life style with danger and drugs and stuff and when Gilda hurts Dash she comes back to AJ and the Apples for help and they’re more than happy to take her in and help her get back on track again...

-twilight! has! issues! with! her! parents!!!!!!!!!i need to rewatch one upon a zeppelin bc there’s stuff in that that helps my case but i am actually in the middle of writing a short comic of how i view twilight’s relationship with her parents (mostly her mom), which is Not Greati mean both twilight and shining armour were shipped off to boarding schools at incredibly young ages, and yeah sure both of them are big achievers but they’re still kids when this happensi just have this feeling like twilight’s inability to reach out to others and her need to keep studying isn’t just a character choice, but also the only thing she’s ever been taught (which is supported by canon bc... twilight needs to learn about friendship)like imagine having parents who actively push you to pursue studies rather than a normal childhood with friends and ... stuffthe once upon a zeppelin thing is like, twilight just wants one chance to feel like she’s in a normal family where she gets to do something *she* likes and she doesn’t get thati just imagine like... how many times that has happened in twilight’s life with her parents 

-spike is trans, he’s my good good trans boy who wants to explore his femininity in a way that doesnt invalidate his trans identity rarity is happy to dress him up and twilight is always actively validating his gender identity by giving him “boy’s nights” and actively calling him a boy or a guy 

-this isnt a headcanon but big mac spike and discord are BIG FRIENDS, AND I LOVE THEIR FRIENDSHIPdiscord is a big BPD baby who needs reassurance and has difficulty with his feelings when it comes to others but big mac is a pretty patient dude, who’s learned a lot in his life and knows to just quietly go along with discordspike just takes no shit and i JUST LOVE THIS DYNAMIC i want 100 more episodes with these three

dungeons and discords is such a fun episode and the break up break down hsa quickly become one of my fav episodes ever

-celestia and chrysalis had a brief fling before chrysalis attacked the twinkle eye kingdom and started the war that got her turned into swiss cheese it was during this time celestia was crossing over into the mirror world and meeting with alt sombra and chrysalis got JEALOUS

-the three ponies who run Rarity For You in Manehatten did not get a long at first but now they are a poly couple who run the store themselves

Okie dokie so in the midst of outlining the main plot of the Fluffy!AU I was hit by some headcanons (that incidentally have nothin’ to do with said AU) and I’d figure I’d share them. :3

-Might come to a surprise for others, but Twi’s a big time gamer. Not originally; before coming to Ponyville her only exposure to video games were because of Spike and while she enjoyed the games he played to some extent, she never attempted playing them. It’s Dash and Pinkie Pie who got her into it with Assassin’s Creed. She got hooked with the story first, fascinated with how surprisingly accurate the game got with its history despite placing its own spins to it for the sake of the plot, then she got hooked onto the gameplay, and the rest is history.

She loves strategic games and (surprisingly) horror games the most, but she’ll give just about anything a try.

-In the same vein as the first headcanon, Rarity likes watching video games (especially if it’s Twilight playing). She herself can’t get into actually playing any of the games, but she’s always down to sit, do some sewing and watch all the while. She’s especially invested in horrors; something about sitting on the couch and experiencing the terror with the player is... well, fun for her. It’s also kinda funny, seeing Twi or Spike or Rainbow startle at jumpscares: they don’t get her as badly as it does them.

-Scootaloo can’t fly and she never will. I think I’ve spoke about this before, but Scootaloo has a development issue with her wings: she was born with it. They are smaller than what they should be and while they are strong enough to allow her to hover and glide (thanks to tons of physical therapy and exercises) she can’t actually fly with them. This was quite the sore spot for her for years, but she has since grown to accept it and have even used this to her advantage. Scootaloo, when she grows older, will make history in being known as the best freestyle scooterist and skateboarder, inventing new extreme tricks and innovating existing ones. She will also be known as a pioneer of scooter sports, helping it launch into popularity in Equestria.

I also like the idea that she becomes good at skydiving and wingsuiting, but instead of a suit she can just use her wings to glide long distances.

-Continuing with Scootaloo, I’ve since scrapped the idea that she’s an orphan. Instead, she lives with her aunt Lofty and her wife Holiday. Due to neglect at home with her birth parents (both kept leaving her alone to go one vacation after vacation without her), Lofty stepped in to take little Scoots in. Despite recognizing their abandonment of her, Scootaloo still can’t help but miss her parents sometimes. That said, she wouldn’t trade her home with her aunts for the world; they love her and she loves them.

-I keep hinting at it in my AUs but I have the headcanon that Dash is very artistic. She loves to paint, draw, write, but her favorites is especially painting and writing. Her paintings are often very vibrant and always seem to be moving, and while she can work with brushes she much prefers to finger paint. Her work is so good she could feasibly pursue a career in art if she so chose to, but her heart lies in the skies. That said, I wouldn’t be surprised if she took commissions and freelance work every now and again. As for writing, she writes fanfics in her spare time, especially for Daring Do. She and Twilight discuss their loves and dislikes of the series and Dash once went as far as to “correct” a plot point in the book’s canon she didn’t like. Twi happened upon it and was... well, admittedly very impressed, and suggested she posted her stuff online on a fanfic website (you bet your ass Twi reads fanfics, c’mon). Her pen name could possibly be ColorfullyDaring or somethin’ like that. xD

-The Apple Family doesn’t own just one dog... they own ten. Winona is the leader of this pack, but they half a vast assortment of doggos who the family use as not only working dogs, but companions and hunting dogs. They’re all good doggies and love the family lots (and the family loves them just as much), but each member of the family has their near constant companion. AJ has Winona, Granny has the old family hound Chief (oldest dog of the bunch; she’s been around since Bright Mac was a foal), Big Mac has the cute little beagle Spot, and Apple Bloom is often tailed by their biggest dog, Bear.

-I adore the idea that Jackpot (Trixie’s dad) and Big Bucks are married, soooooo that means Trixie has two dads! :3 When she was a foal, she’d always called Jackpot “Mommy” and Big Bucks “Daddy”. At first Jackpot tried to correct her, but no matter what he did she still referred to him as “mom”. It was always a spot for teasing from Big Bucks too, who encouraged their kid with things like “go ask mama” or “tell mommy you love him!” Eventually though, Jackpot found himself endeared to it, so much so that he actually kinda misses being called mom, now that Trixie has stopped and has been calling him dad.

-I’ve denied it for years in the past but it’s time that I go ahead and embrace the idea that Celestia and Luna are... possibly demigods. In the literal form of the term, so they are half-god half-mortal (gods and goddesses do exist in my headcanon, yes). So, how did they come to be? A very powerful god fell in love with a mortal: an alicorn mare, and they had Celestia, Luna, and Cosmos (the Sisters’ scrapped brother; I’ve made him “canon” in my headcanon) together. This headcanon is actually a bit too long to put here, so I’ll explain it later in a separate post. I’m also toying with the idea that the siblings are half siblings instead, but I haven’t decided on that yet o3o

-Speaking of Cosmos! Here’s a copy/paste of the headcanon I made up for him:

He’s the middle brother to Celestia and Luna and the Prince of Harmony. He's short and sturdy and warm and inviting, this alicorn's power resides within maintaining balance, harmony, and his very being is tethered to the world Gaia (like how Celly and Luna's beings are tethered to the sun and moon respectively). I haven't fully figured out all of his abilities, but I'd say his magic is closely tied to the earth and as his sisters are the living embodiment of their celestial bodies, Cosmos is the living embodiment of harmony. He is also the origin of the Elements of Harmony, of which came about around the time Discord showed up: Cosmos' exact opposite.

Even with the combined strength of all three siblings, Discord was simply too powerful to be stopped in his quest to spread excessive chaos (upsetting the world's balance), so in order to put a stop to the Dawn of Chaos, Cosmos sacrifices himself and used his magic and entire life essence into forming the Tree of Harmony. From this came the Elements of Harmony, purified and concentrated magic in the form of crystal gems that represent the aspects of harmony: Honestly, Generosity, Laughter, Kindess, Loyalty, and Friendship (otherwise known as Magic). No longer restricted by the physical limitations of a flesh and blood body, the power of Harmony for the first time could be fully utilized by Celestia and Luna to defeat Discord and imprison him in stone: a fitting parallel, considering the fate of their brother. The sisters vowed use the Elements of Harmony only when absolutely necessary, and until then the Elements would remain within their encasing of the Tree of Harmony, safe and tucked away until it is needed.... and maybe, somehow, find a way to revive their brother?? All of this came about from the idea that the Elements of Harmony hold some level of sentience, in which not just anyone could use the Elements... they had to be chosen by the Elements. This is why Luna, when she became corrupted and turned into Nightmare Moon, could not use her half of the elements: the Elements no longer deemed her worthy of wielding them, and as such rejected her. So, why not have the Elements' consciousness... or semi-consciousness come from the unused concept of their long lost brother? C:

DEAR GOD... IT’S COMIC-CON

Welcome, one and all, to the biggest Pony news day of the year! 

For those of you who maybe haven’t been following the fandom closely around Comic-Con in previous years, the community has come to expect news, clips, animatics, even full trailers! Lucky for those of us without the necessary pocket change, every spoilerific tidbit is live-blogged for our enjoyment by our friends at Equestria Daily, and the clips released afterwards online by Hasbro.

So, expect spoilers below the break with commentary and hyper fangirling! (Note: This post will be updated as clips and more news come out)

NEWS! CLIPS! SOME OTHER THIRD THING!

My Little Pony: The Movie

Two sneak peaks and a SONG were shown! I’ll update the post when they’re released online. There was also an intro video to the panel where the cast of the movie talked a tiiiny bit about their characters (we’ll hopefully see that online, too).

The song was sung by Rainbow Dash and Captain Celeano (the pirate birb), and it’s a song called “Time to be Awesome” sung to the pirates to rally them into rebellion against the Storm King.

Sneak peek #1 was about the mane 6 leaving Equestria for the first time heading south, and sneak peek #2 was about the Storm King using some kind of potion to essentially video chat with Commander Tempest.

They couldn’t spoil too much more of the movie after that, but the panelists were prompted to use one word to describe something about the movie:

“"Broken." "Musical." "Spongecake." "One small thing." (Okay, Pinkie.) "Therapy." (Aw, 'Shy.) "Not a big enough par--" "Granny, how'd you get here?" "Flushed," said Rarity. "Windmill," says AJ. "AWESOME." "Festival," Ms. Sparkle.” (from EQD)

My Little Pony Season 7

Surprisingly, they didn’t show off any real clips for season 7 or reveal much info at the panel, but if you’ve been following pony news in the past few days (AND Friday night!), we got some stuff that’s really exciting!

So, we’ll get the old stuff out of the way first: if you don’t know, we have most of the summaries for season seven and you can read those here. Season 7 part 2 is set to premiere August 5th with two amazing episodes, Discordant Harmony and The Perfect Pear. With Fame and Misfortune on the 12th, Triple Threat on the 19th, and Campfire Tails airing on the 26th!

That last one is especially important, because we now know it’s going to tie into the first arc of the Legends of Magic comic line!

But even more than that, we know the Legends of Magic comics tie into the finale, as well!!!

The 7th issue of Legends of Magic, set to come out in October, “ties into the finale” and with an Avengers-like storyline to boot: “You’ve met the most legendary ponies in Equestria’s history… now find out how they first came together to battle an unstoppable evil!”

Exactly how that story ties into the finale remains to be seen, but this is the most well-integrated the show has EVER been with its comic line. Oh, and as someone whose been following the Legends of Magic comic line and getting more and more invested (it’s one of the best arcs they’ve ever done), I can say that you won’t need to read the comics to enjoy and understand what’s going on.

It’s excellent, top-quality bonus material that tells you stories after the important ones that are talked about in Campfire Tails, but both the comics themselves and it seems the episodes of the show will be able to stand on their own.

Oh, and for the record: season 8 was confirmed long ago (as was Discord’s inclusion), but a few days ago Daniel Ingram teased that he was working with a very talented singer for season 8. So, there’s a lot on the horizon!

UPDATE: This isn’t from Comic-Con per se, but the news just dropped about the episode titles for the last three episodes of the season!

Now here’s what’s cool about the season finale title (aside from the fact that it’s just objectively cool): there’s a few options for who that could be.

A few days ago Discovery Family announced the second half of the season, in which they described a few things:

“Throughout the second half of the season, Pharynx learns that love is a strength and not a weakness, Twilight Sparkle battles the Pony of Shadows, famous author A.K. Yearling teases a new novel, the Cutie Mark Crusaders learn that nothing is impossible with courage and strength, and much more!” (x)

The identity of which is still a big mystery...

Equestria Girls

No actual news for EQG, I’m afraid, but they did make some jokes in the Q&A portion that CONFIRM MY DAMN HEADCANONS SO I’M TAKING IT AS CANON UNTIL PROVEN OTHERWISE YOU CAN’T STOP ME

Q: Any chance Celestia is Sunset Shimmer's mother? Meghan: There is NOW! We may need you to sign some papers.

VALIDATION! SWEET, SWEET VALIDATION!

OKAY, BUT IF YOU KNOW ME YOU KNOW THE MOTHER-DAUGHTER-LIKE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN TEACHERS AND THEIR STUDENTS IN THIS SHOW GIVE ME LIFE.

Q: Why doesn't Twilight write to the Princess anymore? Tara Strong: She uses email. She's a great texter. I dunno. Meghan McCarthy: That's my fault, that we stopped doing that. We felt she evolved as a character and her relationship with Celestia was changing, so she didn't have a need to update her in that way. Mike Vogel: More time to spend with her daughter, Sunset.

THEY ACKNOWLEDGED IT. EVEN IF IT WAS A JOKE, THEY ACKNOWLEDGED IT.

Also, there are three kinds of people in this world, apparently.

Q: Is Sunset ever going back to the pony world? Meghan McCarthy: ... yes. Mike Vogel: For a three-day weekend.

To visit her mom, obviously...

Q: Will Discord change if he goes through the portal? Meghan McCarthy: Oooh. He would change. That's just science. Cathy Wesluck: All his parts would just fall off.

So Discord would actually change going through the portal. Into what, we may never know, but at least we know he’s not immune.

It would be funny if his multiple parts just changed into different parts, though. Like, the translation process is still one-for-one, so he’s basically the same structure with different animals.

UPDATE: And for those wondering, it’s been confirmed that there’s more EQG on the way by Big Jim on Twitter:

We know for a fact there’s at least two new music videos coming out sometime this year because they were leaked in Russian, but at least we know there’s more EQG beyond that in 2018!

IDW Comics

In addition to the crazy things going on with the Legends of Magic line, IDW previewed a few pages from the Movie Prequel line of their comics: this time, Captain Celeano!

Much like the Legends of Magic comics, these seem to be smaller stories that give us a little background on the new characters, but won’t be necessary reading for the movie.

There’s also not a ton of reports out about what was actually said during the panel, but that might be because IDW had other brands to focus on presenting (Star Trek, Transformers, etc.).

So, that’s about it for SDCC 2017, and we got a few great things, but if that wasn’t enough to whet your appetite, don’t worry too much.

Hasbro’s first ever convention, HasCon (... yes that’s really what they went with), is set for September 8th-10th with a panel line-up that already has me drooling:

And yes, I realize the irony of putting this section into a post about SDCC, but I do it for a good reason. Normally, SDCC is the biggest Pony news day of the year, but that’s just not the case now that Hasbro can dedicate 45 minutes EACH to the main show, Equestria Girls, and the Movie!

This is especially important (and relevant to this post) because the decision to make the SDCC MLP panel just about the movie was a last minute thing. They had things about the remainder of season 7 and EQG that they were prepared to share, but were probably told to hold off on it because of HasCon.

So, I just wanted to let you know this won’t be the last post like this this year, and that there’s even more exciting news on the horizon.
