Whilst explaining their evil plan through song to the captured caretaker(s), the Whumper rips the whumpee, broken-spirited and bruised, from their cell and forces them to dance with the Whumper, perhaps stepping on their feet, bending a limb too far, or bashing the whumpee's head into a wall as the caretaker(s) are/is forced to watch. Maybe the Whumpee has been taught this dance already, or they're dragged along on a whim and trying not to slip up in fear of punishment?

imagining a defiant interrogation whumpee who gets sick of saying "I'm not telling you" so they start going into what sounds initially to be them finally telling whumper what they want to know, but ends up being whumpee wasting time by just quoting a song.
#pyreprompts#whump prompt#I have a scene or two for Kevin specifically#'Why have I taken up arms against you you ask? Well#I was walking down by island bridge#Just rambling about- going as I please#That day was warm and there was such a gentle breeze#It was the month of April I believe#I strolled up by the monument then laid down in the grass#Then I heard a soldiers voice behind me. It said#Meet me at the pillar son meet me there at noon. I need you brave young Irishmen there's something we must do...#He said his name was Padraig Pearce and he just kept on calling me'#Meet me at the pillar is such a good song even if extremely call to action#But that's just been my vibe so youknow#Doesn't even have to be an interrogation really#'So what's with the red hair and green eyes combo? Isn't that a little on the nose for a fenian?'#'Well first off- it has been incredibly difficult to hide while trying to cross boarders you're right#Secondly that's just kinda what happens when you have a county cork mother and an ulsterman father.#It's just a horrid color problem I've been left with- this orange and green.'#I imagine Kevin specifically would take it as a challenge to 1. See how obscure a rebel song he can pull up and#2. See how long it takes for the other guy to notice not a word he is saying is actually true or relevant#The exact scenes I'm imaging are in a au idk if I'll ever actually post publicly#But I might write them as him messing around with Zander#I still need to post something with Zander maybe this will be it

There were tears in the hero’s eyes.
At first glance, they had looked dead. Blood soaked through their suit and the villain was sure they had felt bones break when they’d hit their enemy several times. They’d been sure the hero was dead this time but they were still breathing. Still responsive.
The villain cursed in their mind. How many times had they been in this situation before? With the hero on the ground or the villain on the ground and the other just staring, too stunned to utter a word. Too stunned by their own actions and their own lack of humanity.
How many times had one of them stopped for a second, right there? Had hesitated and asked themselves if this was their true self? How many times had they recalculated everything and fallen to their knees next to their nemesis? God, the villain didn’t know.
But this was one of those times and honestly, the fact that the hero cried made the villain uneasy. They usually didn’t do that. They got back up or stayed down. Quiet. Suffering alone.
“This is insanity,” the hero wheezed. The villain stood there, scrutinising the mess. Assessing the situation wasn’t easy. They didn’t know how much damage they had done — they never did — but they knew the hero was okay. They were always okay. Always being just fine.
The question was: how do you kill such a saint?
“I’m afraid it is,” the villain whispered. “But I have to be honest. I don’t know how to stop. I don’t know when to stop.”
“And yet, you never pull through.” The villain kneeled beside the hero, listening carefully. “And neither do I.”
They studied their nemesis, studied the blood and the broken bones. A normal human being could never survive this.
The hero leaned their head against the wall and groaned. Blood was running out of their mouth.
“I will always have to stop you,” they said. “And I know you won’t stop. You won’t stop until you get what you want. God, I don’t even know what that is. Money? Chaos? Revenge?”
Purpose, actually. But the hero didn’t need to know that.
“Creation through destruction” the villain mumbled. They pushed a loose strand of hair out of the hero’s eyes. In another life, they could’ve been something different, they feared. “That’s what I want.”
The villain was a brilliant liar.
“Ouroboros,” the hero said. They looked at the villain and something incredibly tragic soaked through the air between them. “Tail devourer.”
“I’m no serpent.”
“We’re doomed, aren’t we? For as long as we’re alive, we are doomed.” Tears kept falling down their face and, hell, the villain couldn’t place that feeling in their chest at all. As if someone or something was squeezing their heart together until it popped.
“We can’t change this,” the villain whispered. They put a hand on the hero’s thigh, attempting softness when all they had ever touched had turned into dust. “But at the end of the day, I still have you. We may be doomed to fight each other, to attempt the other’s destruction but at least we do it together.”
They wiped tears and blood out of the hero’s face and stood up, looking around aimlessly.
“I’ll see you tomorrow.”
Both healed overnight, like immortals do, and the circle repeated itself the next day.
However, it felt different this time. For both of them.

Whump Prompt #1298
Whumptober #30: "It's okay, just to say, I'm not okay."
Song: I'm Not Okay - Chris Catalyst
Your caretaker watches as the whumpee tears themselves apart, and waits for them to accept help.
'Heartache hiding in plain sight' - Your whumpee is no good at hiding their emotions. When they think no-one is looking they let their mask fall, but the caretaker is always there to see the distant look in their eyes.
'If you’re reeling off the rails.' - The whumpee partakes in self-destructive activities. Maybe it's obvious, maybe it's not, either way it has a blatant affect on their relationships and body.
'There's no burden to explain' - The caretaker wants to scream this at the whumpee. They want to grab them by the shoulders and tell them that it's alright - please, you're allowed to confide in me.
'We can sit and talk all night' - When your whumpee finally breaks, your caretaker knows it wont be a simple chat over dinner. It's going to be messy and emotional and at an inconvenient time. But the whumpees need for help overrides the discomfort of staying up late. The caretaker vows to listen for as long as they need, because the whumpee was beginning to severely worry them.
'My home is your home, 'Cause sometimes I, Feel like you, too' - Perhaps the caretaker had gone through a similar situation - maybe they can sympathise with the whumpee. They've said time and time again that their home is the whumpees home (maybe they share the house), but the whumpee insists that they're okay - that they don't want to get in their way.
'I can make the tea and I can make the time' - If the whumpee 'doesn't have the time', then the caretaker was going to physically make it, even if they have to rearrange the whumpees calendar to get them so slow down.
'So if your conscious needs a clean. Maybe a dose of dopamine Loosen ligatures and wrap yourself in me' - The caretaker sees how the whumpee shy's from touch, and almost makes it their mission to give the person a hug - a meaningful hug that tells them that the whumpee is not at fault for feeling the way they do/reacting the way they have. Their actions are forgivable - everyone processes their experiences differently.
'Any day, any time I'm not a judge, there isn't a crime It's okay, just to say I'm not okay' - Eventually the whumpee does come knocking. They're sheepish and ashamed but trembling like a leaf. "I'm sorry." They say, crying, followed by "I'm not okay."

MAYBE IM JUST GAY BUT
I was listening to MARINA (I'm sorry, she will always be Marina And The Diamonds to me :sob:) because i'm gay and I just wanna say that Starring Role REALLY fits Jaskier's pov of Yen and Geralt's relationship "You don't love me, big fucking deal I'll never tell you how I feel You don't love me, not a big deal I'll never tell you how I feel
It almost feels like a joke to play a part When you are not a starring role, in someone else's heart You know I'd rather walk alone (rather walk alone) Than play a supporting role If I can't get the starring role"
and post-mountain Geraskier... "You're like my dad, you'd get on well I send my best regards from Hell" I'm thinking of fanonically abusive Jaskier's dad kicking Jaskier to the curb for being a bard/being gay kinda thematically rhyming with Jaskier being dropped off the side of a mountain by Geralt
So if anyone wants to make an animatic or songfic for this I will literally become the abysmal forces (in joy) I'd appreciate a happy ending of course (because Netflix slacked off and didn't give one to Jaskier, Geralt's "apology" was shit and we all know it)

today’s objectification brainrot—
whumper bruising and biting every inch of whumpee’s exposed skin, and then poking and admiring each bruise and bloody bite mark, explaining slowly how each one formed while whumpee writhes under their fingertips
showing whumpee off to someone else and doing the same thing—explaining in excruciating detail what their did to make their captive so pretty and pliant
… making them explain each injury and why they deserved it
whumpee tied up and gagged and adorned in jewelry, and whumper just dragging them around a party by the chain on their collar. showing them off to all their friends—running possessive hands down their torso—pressing down on the deep bruises and the still bleeding bites—just to show off how pretty they sound when they’re in pain
more of this trope here and here if you need therapy like me
yeah @unorganisedalienrubbish we rly on some shiit rn

Introducing the Seven Songs of Suffering event!
This will be a seven-day whump event running the second week of September. Prompts will be songs that can be related to whump in some way, which I'll release at the beginning of that month or possibly the end of this one. Prompts here
But how are you supposed to use a song as a prompt? However you want! You can use the title as your prompt, you can pick a line/section of the lyrics to use as your prompt, use the overall picture the song paints as your prompt, or even just listen to the song as you create. Whatever works for you.
I will tentatively say that I'll try to reblog all submissions for the event as long as they fit the types of content I'm okay with having on my blog. We'll see how it goes.
The official event tag will be #sevensongsofsuffering2024. Use this to have your participation recognized!
Answered questions:
What are the requirements? For participation: Respond to at least one of the prompts. For completion: Create something for each of the seven prompts.
How should I tag? If you want me to see and reblog your works, use the official event tag (#sevensongsofsuffering2024) and make sure your privacy settings aren't preventing your blog from showing up in the tag. This is the only place I will be looking for works in this event. If I don't seem to be finding your works you can talk to me about it. @ ing me will not make you any more likely to have your work reblogged. Also make sure you tag with any important trigger warnings so people can filter as needed. Other than that, you're of course welcome to use whatever other tags you see fit for organization, exposure, etc.
Do I need to include CWs within the post as well as the tags? YES. I am not in the habit of copying over people's tags, and I don't want to miss anything important, so please include CWs somewhere within the body of the post if you want it to be reblogged.
Where will this event be hosted? It'll just be on my main (the blog I'm posting this from) for now, because it seems kind of silly to make a whole new blog just for one week. (I'll put a link to the event masterpost on my pinned master-masterlist so you don't have to go through all the rest of the stuff on my blog for this.) If it ends up becoming a repeating event I'll probably make a new sideblog for it.
Is NSFW allowed? You're allowed to create it and it can count for completion, but I will not reblog it because I keep my blog free of sexually explicit content.
Are late submissions allowed? Once the week ends, I'll probably have a small grace period to allow last-minute submissions and assemble the list of completionists. After that, you are more than welcome to use the prompts, but you will not be added to the completionist list and I will not be likely to reblog it.
What formats are allowed for prompt fills? Any creative work! I might talk about it like it's a writing event just because me and at least most of my mutuals are writers, so that's where my mind goes automatically. But it can be writing, drawing, painting, comics, 3D, photography, etc. Anything you yourself make.
Can this event be combined with others? Absolutely! As long as a work responds to one of this event's prompts, it counts even if it also responds to something else.
When do I need to post to get reblogged/counted? Anytime September 8-14. You don't have to post things on their specific days as long as you get it posted sometime within the week. I am in Mountain Daylight time but I'll try to be conscious of other time zones.
Any other questions? Ask me! My askbox and DMs are open :)
This is my first time hosting an event like this so please bear with me
