...Kinda? I don’t usually write romance as the main focus unless it’s for a fandom event or a fic for someone else, but this was going to be a Danny and Valerie-centric snippet, so this is as near as I’ve got to that! It could technically turn into a Gray Ghost fic. It just...hasn’t yet.

But, first: pretty!!!! Thanks so much for sharing! I love daffodils; they’re one of my favourite flowers. (I, sadly, have no daffodils of my own, mainly because my garden consists of pots that I can put out on my balcony, but they were in the garden when I was growing up. ...Those ones won’t be out yet, though, as it is currently snowing outside.)

“Hey, um, are you okay?”

Valerie sniffed, blinked furiously, and said, “I’m fine.” She wasn’t fine. She hadn’t come out here to cry because she was fine. The Lunch Lady showing up at the Nasty Burger today had been the final straw for her manager. It wasn’t Valerie’s fault; her manager knew perfectly well that ghosts didn’t just show up on her shift, even if he didn’t know how much she could usually do to stop them. No, she’d been let go because he couldn’t afford to keep so many employees on, and she was first on the chopping block.

But she couldn’t afford to be let go. Ghost hunting for Mr. Masters got her tech, not money, and college wasn’t going to pay for itself. Her grades were decent, especially considering everything she had on her plate outside of school, but they weren’t exactly going to win her many scholarships.

She just felt like she was losing control.

Phantom, asking obvious questions as he was, wasn’t helping.

My cats! They're just the bestest boys and watching them be absolute bastards sparks so much joy.

Gonna be stereotypical and say my boyfriend bc he is legit the most amazing part of my life, even better than my babies. Love this guy so much it's stupid y'all.

Working. It took us being closed down, and having MONTHS of no promos to realize it, but I love this job with a goddamn passion. Sure, people are occasionally assholes when they lost what they came in with, but the gaming industry is LIT and tribal casinos WILL take care of their employees better than anywhere else.

Long road trips with people I love. I've taken like two this year, and that'll probably be it tbh with the way things are going. Once it hits the two hour mark, I'm probably going feral and having the time of my goddamn life.

Writing. I haven't done it in almost a year, but since it's almost Christmas I know there's gonna be a ton of secret Santa events in all of my fandoms. There's for sure one I'm gonna do, and maybe another. I'm so excited tbh.

Round 1 Match 5:  @whosvladagain vs. @kinglazrus

With all the chaos that has been going on recently, Matsu felt that it might be time to take a few steps back. She starts the commentary at a near-whisper, reminiscent of the golf announcers that are always narrating in her head. 

“We start off match 5 with a very special treat; a nunnery will be providing some background music for the rest of the evening. Over in the corner we can see the ghost nuns standing in choir section of the stands. Thank you, nuns.” It really is lovely to listen too. Such a shame that people don’t normally enjoy the sound of nails on a chalkboard. A ghost with some… questionable… fashion choices walks up to the bottom of the choir section.

“It looks like our first contender is speaking to the nuns. @whosvladagain, I’m sure you’ll phight with them in mind and show off your appreciation.” Donatello looks up at her name and gives Matsu an odd look; perhaps that wasn’t what they were talking about.

“Phighting against the totally-not-a-ninja-turtle is our wonderful @kinglazrus, all the way from Nightmare Valley. Thanks for joining us.” A knock at the (newly-repaired) door drags Matsu’s attention away from the stadium. Tali is at the door, holding a large box and looking very suspicious. Their eyes are blood-red.

“Oh, it seems I have a fellow announcer joining me up here, pholks. Tali, what can I—”  There’s a huge crash, and the sounds of a violent scuffle. Matsu’s voice is noticeably louder and panicked. “Phriends, Tali is acting very strange. I would have thought she would be down in the stands, waiting to watch the match, but she just attacked me! At the moment she is fiddling with the air circulation system, but I cannot leave my station to try to stop her. As it is, ghosts do not have to breathe, anyway. I’m sure everyone will be perfectly fine.”

Down below, Laz is staring up at the box, eyes glowing an eerie red. Something is definitely going on. On the other side, Donatello seems to have selected 2 of the nuns and attached them to a long metal chain. She has leapt up into the air and begun spinning them intensely. As she approaches Laz, alarms begin to blare.

“Everyone, a strange gas is seeping into the arena, what could this be? Tali? What are you doing?!” Tali looks up and shakes herself. She seems confused. The insane red in her eyes is gone. A sniffling has started up around the arena.

Donatello is obviously having trouble seeing; tears are running down her phace. She can’t see where to aim her nunchucks. There’s a smile on Laz’s lips. 

“What’s wrong? Can’t handle a little onion gas?” The grinning ghost steps forward and whacks Donatello with her inflatable sword. The ghost crashes down and her nunchucks fly off.

“Donatello cannot continue; congratulations on your win Laz!” Matsu turns to Tali for a moment; an explanation instantly appears in her brain. “And to the referees down on the ground, it seems this was a ploy by Laz to begin with. Mind control is not against the rules, so don’t worry about it.” Matsu side-eyes Tali.

“Perhaps next time, Tali will be a little sneakier when she goes to wish a phighter luck. Donatello’s opponent certainly wasn’t happy about it.”

Fiapfpwprlts hello please assign me a wand. I recently learned I might be a compulsive liar and am working towards fixing that(sorta)(slowly). Very dramatic. Pretty rangy personality that relies heavily on context, but mostly pretty loud and attempts to make many quips and sarcasms. On a scale of protectiveness I try to let people do their own thing but always worry and remind them to do stuff. I like to create! Have huge blisters on feet because refused to surrender to beingatbad at ice skating

Alright, so I have 4 possible wand woods, most with varying takes on “fixing being a compulsive liar/learning from the past”. I, uh, admittedly don’t really have anything that goes off of stubborn without tying into protectiveness, so… There’s hawthorn, for those are constantly changing, or who consider it an important mark in their past (or who work towards it). Pine is for those who feel guilt over their past, and who intend to grow beyond it. Yew is a rare wood for those who undergo change, who learn from the past and apply this knowledge to the future. Finally, the last one is the one possibility that isn’t necessarily based on the first line you gave me. Willow is for those who work in cycles and rhythms, who shift and change, fluid like water.

Other wand traits (conduit/core, length, and decorations) are explained in this post! Mostly bc I don’t have those worked out yet, whoops.

Ok, done! It was pretty awesome, high quality angst A+++ I'm gonna be honest here; I'm still rooting for the first one because... Uh gay. Except they're all gay. The first one is just lesbians. Also I really like Dora in the movie but they killed her D: 

All of them are 10/10 quality and I have read each (except the one I just read cause I didn't know it existed) multiple times because even though I don't really understand smut... 

Your writing has such deep and interesting views on the characters, marvelously bubbly fluff that makes the world seem light, and heart-wrenching angst that twists you all up inside. Basically: I would wait a hundred years just so I could read a chapter update and if it takes you a bit to write I don't mind and I would lap up any updates like a dog.

In no particular order, five things that make me happy are:

1) being able to wrap myself in a large, soft blanket on a cold day.

2) singing.

3) seeing the northern lights--a rare occurrence since I’ve moved to the city because, well, light, and me usually being in the city at night, so it’s extra delightful these days.

4) getting an email notification for a review (and reading said review) on one of my fics (I know, I know, but they really do make my day)

5) finally finishing something and just getting that satisfaction.
