28 IWTB or FTF? Why?

FTF every time. It’s just a better film. It builds believable tension, M&S are a team united against the world but also rubbing against each other, the hallway scene is iconic, there are aliens AND bad men, there is SCULLAAAAYYY!

IWTB has some great domestic MSR, the scratchy beard scene and a Skinner hug, but it always feels contrived and confused to me. I do love Billy Connolly and I love Scully’s dilemma with trying to save the boy and feeling like she has to continue to ‘save’ Mulder, but there weren’t enough high points of tension for it to flow.

36 Do you read fics? If so, what’s your favorite kind to read?

Do I read fics, ha! Yes, I do. I love an angsty case file but they’re pretty hard to find these days. I also love some of the AUs going around now - @whodoesyournails Academic AU, @spookydarlablack‘s Simple and @o6666666 Emily fics. There is a multitude of talented authors in this fandom - super good fluffy-ficcers, plotters, AUers, lyricalists and smuttists. We are blessed on a weekly basis.

37  Do you have any fic recs?

There are those I mentioned above (plus their entire back catalogues) and I would recommend you devour anything and everything by @lepus-arcticus, @scapegrace74-blog, @leiascully @teethnbone@lyndsaybones @catarinquar @aloysiavirgata @storybycorey @wtfmulder @all-these-ghosts. All these writers give us such composed prose, such great insight into character and such superbly crafted storylines. They’re amazing!

I love Julie Fortune’s casefiles, @syntax6 casefiles, Iolokus, Secret World, Mountainphile’s work, Prufrock’s Love and Penumbra. I also enjoyed Resurgam by Ophelia recently and I’m currently reading an old fic Hide and Seek by Spearmnt which I don’t remember reading before and it’s long and angsty and a casefile and I’m loving it!
