I got my very first Amiibo figure today!

And I'm so happy about it that I'm in the mood to play a little game, so let's play "Who's That Amiibo?" This game is inspired by "Who's That Pokémon?" but instead of a silhouette, I'll give four hints, so see if you can guess who the Amiibo is!

Hint 1: He has spiky brown hair

Hint 2: He has blue eyes

Hint 3: He has a very unique looking weapon

Hint 4: He's got a big grin on his face

That's all the hints! Now, WHO'S THAT AMIIBO!!!

SF6 x Amiibo

Luke's figure is cool but is easily the most boring of the three. Meanwhile Kimberly and Jamie's poses are much more dynamic! Kimberly's hair just gives her amiibo so much movement and personality. Jamie's pose is really good and i love the way his pants are molded. It looks like the pattern on Jamie's outfit is engraved in the plastic? (I like the texture)

With the scale and price point I'm not surprised about how the faces look a little uh wonky (cheap)? but I really like their goofy lil faces. They're very charming n cute 🥺

Also amiibo cards for the whole roster is super cool too. I just hope there's a way to buy them all and not some blind packaging nonsense. (Will most certainly be blind packaging)

But yay for the new trio getting merch! More of this trio everywhere please!

#I'm happy these exist but literally so random #first of all... who remembers amiibo?#secondly uh when was the last time amiibo were released? maybe i just don't play the games they're released with but #i thought Nintendo just... moved away from this or just forgot about this period in their history #thirdly SO happy they picked the new characters. If we were ever going to get more amiibo of Street Fighter characters I was positive #it would've been Ryu & Ken's updated looks and MAYBE Chun if they did a 3 pack #but Lukey poo? Kimmy? ive been itching to do papercraft again and staring longingly at all my patterned papers for a shred of an idea. was determined to only use what i had on hand even if it wasnt a perfect match

Majority of amiibos are cheap as fuck to this day because a lot of people fell for the hype and just bought them for the hell of it. Peak example of fomo and it was stupid that people thought Nintendo wouldn't reprint them for years to come

Got the Marie Amiibo for my bday!

So of course i took pictures with her.

Then we went on an adventure

First, we went to go see her studio

Then we stopped by the alley to say hi to Spyke

And then spent some time in Inkopolis

Before finally heading over to Splatsville! Heres Marie and Little Buddy together

Then i showed her the shop that was selling Squid Sisters merch

This was basically the best investment i ever made. (it was not an investment i spent 0 dollars since it was a gift) Instant Marie any time i want. Its free serotonin!!! I am eagerly awaiting the Deep Cut amiibos so i can do the same with them.
