Harvey and Hunter have a lot of similarities if you really think about it! Both of them are child prodigies, burdened with incredibly high expectations. Harvey was a glandus student who likely had to fight his way to the top, and hunter is expected to be the golden guard, the emperors right hand man, despite being a 16 year old who should be more preoccupied with overdue homework than worrying about whether he’s going to come back from a mission empty handed and face potentially violent consequences.

… then fast forward to both of them playing flyer derby with their respective (future) partners, and it’s one of the first times we see them genuinely happy and enjoying themselves

Meanwhile I feel like willow inherited a lot of Gilbert’s traits: observant of others emotions and knowing when to step in to help when they are struggling, and not afraid to bend the rules or even the law when the situation calls for it. Also just a personal hc I like to think willow got her silly streak from Gilbert >:]
