shark of the day: whitenose shark, nasolamia velox

whitenose sharks are small requiem sharks named for the small white spots on the tip of their snouts. they can grow to be around 1.5 meters(~5 ft) long. whitenose sharks are found in shallow coastal waters of the central eastern pacific. their diet consists of bony fish, cephalopods, and crustaceans.
