I FINALLY POSTED

*sighs*

Okay, I've scheduled the last chapter of each storyline except @theimperiumchronicles to post about every two hours for the next day or so. Just so everyone can get caught up.

I posted the newest chapter of @whileyouwait-dm TODAY.

Tomorrow I'm going to post something from @theimperiumchronicles. I'm not sure if it's going to be from @amayadartan or @graeadalicia. It will most likely be one of those two, although I have a chapter for Amon visiting Abriella and one for Jasper almost ready as well. I may have to create new side blogs for them as well. *gets out the flowcharts and spreadsheets cuz...*

I have been writing while feeling like crap, just being online required too many spoons. After a couple of infusions and some steroids, and treatments, I am doing better. Thank you for those who have checked on me and supported. It means more than you know. *huggles*

Happy spooky WBW! Today, I wanna ask about omens in your world. Do they exist? Are they believed in? Religiously, spiritually, or otherwise?

I know it's not Wed, and I know it's after Halloween, but for me "spooky season" extends all the way to Thanksgiving...so.... Answer below cut

@theimperiumchronicles - This is kind of a given. Yes. I mean...look at that world.

@the-andromeda-effect - Not really. They are purely human. They are a bit superstitious, but not really.

@battlegroundofdreams - Kind of. It's hard to explain. Superstitions again mostly.

@devil-in-the-details-ay - Oh yeah, there are omens upon omens. They are definitely believed in and feared. There are rarely good ones.

@behindthesemasks - YES! OH FUCK YES! Voodoo baby! Good, bad, just existing. There are messages from the ancestors. They will become more prevalent as the story goes on, but ooooohhh yes.

@bendingthelaws - Like @the-andromeda-effect, not really. Superstitions a little bit. They are human and there is no real magic.

@inopinatus-ea - Yes. Why and what kind will become more apparent later. There is magic, lots of it. And there are oracles. The oracles will point out the omens.

@magical-mistakes-vm - Does Vollrath have a temper? *smirk*

@mystsoftime - Yes. As you figure out what gods are in play and how, the omens become more visible. The players in the game will see them as they happen.

@tapperhet-em - Yes. There are gods and beings in play that will leave clues for the humans to find.

@princess-of-thieves-id - Of course! What good seaman doesn't believe in omens?

@whileyouwait-dm - Yep! Now, they might not always be caught until it's too late, but they are there.

Happy Spooky WBW! Time for spooky media! What's it like in your world? Is it mainly books, movies, campfire stories? Are they thought of as mainly fact or fiction?

Sorry it's taken me forever to answer. My immune system has been extra spooky and scary!

I'll answer for several of my WIP's for you below the cut.

@theimperiumchronicles - Media is complicated here. There are ravens and crows who relay news and information to those in power. The Palace is a sentient being who communicates events in its own way. There is no real paper or TV, but through magic they are able to get media and internet from the human realm (our world). There are lots of books, tons. There are both fiction and nonfiction. There are histories, biographies of important demons, chronicles of the great battles, books on types of creatures that live in the realms, and there are also the fiction books that are purely entertainment. It is much like our world, just full of non-human, immortal creatures.

@the-andromeda-effect - since this is set in an alternate Earth reality, all of the media is the same

@battlegroundofdreams - this is a combination of modern media and futuristic. There are screens in many places where information can be obtained. There are no paper books, but there are what we would consider ebooks available on those screens and on handheld screens much like our tablets/iPad/Kindle type devices. There are news broadcasts. As far as Social Media, that does not exist. There are myths and legends, which are told in the "campfire" type of way.

@behindthesemasks - this is set in modern Earth, so all is the same

@bendingthelaws - this is set in modern Earth, so all is the same

@devil-in-the-details-ay - ravens, crows, messenger beings, and magical premonitions convey a lot of information. Some books and scrolls contain information both fiction and nonfiction. Most of the story takes place in the ethereal plains connected to a modern version of Earth, so the media is very similar. The characters do not use or partake in Social Media, but it exists.

@inopinatus-ea - The story is set in an alternate world. There is no TV or Internet. There are books and scrolls, but no newspaper. Most information is conveyed by courier and something akin to a town crier. Word of mouth is how most information is gained as far as current events. It is a mix of a magical realm and Earth, almost in a modern setting. They do have fiction books for entertainment, and nonfiction that contain information on history, the sciences, and biographies.

@magical-mistakes-vm - this is set in an alternate version of modern Earth. There are all the common versions of media, they just have magic. So, there is nothing really different, other than there are also magical ways of obtaining information and ravens and crows can be used as messengers.

@mystsoftime - this is set in an alternate version of the US where magic and supernatural beings exist. All current forms of media are available to them. They do not use Social Media since they do not want to be detected by the humans, but the gods do. Gods are weird.

@princess-of-thieves-id - the world this is set in is a kind of steampunkesque world. There are books, scrolls, maps, and newspapers. There are wanted posters, which all three of the main characters will appear on. There are modern communication devices, except for cell phones. There is no internet or social media of any kind. TV is more like it was before there was cable and is in black and white only...and only the rich have it.

@tapperhet-em - this is an alternate version of Earth that combines a magical realm with a militaristic modern world. There are all of the modern media types, but there are also magical ways of getting information. There are communication and news orbs that are like magical emails. There are books, scrolls, and other forms of fiction and nonfiction media that the characters have access to.

@whileyouwait-dm - the characters are just in a hell realm, so the media is all the same as is on Earth, but with a few extra things that are supernatural. Instead of surveillance cameras, they have "spy imps" and such things.
