one dumb little thing i wanna touch on that im curious why people do is when they age up the mop kids they always give ritsu like. a serious job. like a lawyer or some shit. and like dont get me wrong i think thats a good job for him, but i just feel like it doesnt embody the kinda revelation he has as a kid and like. the growth he experiences???
like ritsu is one of the smartest kids in the country. he does sports, hes on the student council, hes immensely popular, and girls think hes cute. but he's also miserable. like, objectively unhappy with where he's at because he's constantly reaching for the unattainable goal of having psychic powers (and finally bridging the impossible gap between him and his brother that hes been too scared to touch for all these years). he's seen as the model kid by everyone, but he hates being defined by this. he wants more than this--he wants to rebel.
so he does! he does something he knows is wrong and stupid because, well, he'd like to do something wrong and stupid right now to counteract all the good, normal things he's been doing his whole life. and then, through his compounding guilt at seeing what his rebellion is doing to others, he obtains the unobtainable: he gets psychic powers. his lifes goal is complete! and he's only like...13.
so, the question becomes: what does he want now? or, more accurately, what did he want truly?
he answers that whilst fighting shimazaki. he wanted that devotion to something; he wanted something he could strive for and dedicate himself wholeheartedly to. and now that he's obtained the psychic powers, he's no longer estranged from his brother. they're on equal playing fields (for the most part) and he doesn't have to be afraid anymore. so now? now he just wants to have fun!
so like. as much as i think ritsu continues to maintain his grades, extracurriculars, and whatnot, i doubt that is what he considers to be fun. i think he enjoys partaking in some good-humored mischief with sho and teru, or to just spend a day lounging with his brother. i think he allows himself to be more than just the model kid; he lets himself be himself.
which brings me back to what happens when he gets older.
frankly, i dont think ritsu goes to college.
at least, not right away. i think, for him, the world is still so young and new and bright and he wants to take it for all its worth now. i think he and sho travel the world a bit (sho doesn't go to college for a myriad of reasons, mainly boiling down to "fuck that we ball"), and when they return to japan ritsu just. chills! develops some hobbies. talks to friends. visits mob at his dorm and listens to him talk about his classes (rlly good fic ive read made mob a speech therapist and that works sooooo well so something like that maybe). goes home to see his parents and show them photos of his travels.
i think ritsu, for the first time in his life, lets himself just have fun. and i think he wouldn't be trying to tie himself down to any major work until he's had as much fun just being free.

Mob Psycho 100 Fanfic Recs
Hyper fixating on Mob Psycho rn and have been reading a bunch of fanfic. So I thought I'd be nice to create a list of some of them.
All fics listed are completed unless I specify otherwise.
Also here's someone else's MP100 fanfic masterpost for more recs: here
Last updated: 9/20/24
Issho by ToastyToaster22
VERY long read. Main character is child Teru. An AU in which Teru met Mob and Ritsu before the incident where Ritsu got hurt. Story really gets across the evil of Claw with them kidnapping kids and harassing the few who keep getting away from them. Story also shows Teru's shitty neglectful parents and Dad!Reigen. Teru goes through the ringer in this fic. Fic takes place over the course of 2 - 3 years.
In general this writer has a lot of great Mob Psycho writing. They write a lot about Teru and TeruMob. Also I really like their take on the Kageyama parents. We may not see much of those parents in cannon but it's clear they do care about their kids. Toasty does a great job on using them as actual characters.
Immoral Support by c_c_cherry
Teru lives alone, and has been living alone for awhile. He's given money from his parents but that's it. He knows how to fake signatures but now the school is demanding to see a guardian in-person. Teru not knowing what to do, pretends that Reigen is his guardian, things go on from there.
The Ties were Black, The Lies were White by generally
There is some sex in this story, fyi. Basically Reigen is going to his sister's wedding and can bring a plus-one. Serizawa wants to go with him. They decide to go as "business partners". They do things such as sharing a bed and dancing as "business partners". Of course they realize their feelings for each other and confess. The sex scene is a bit after that.
Walking Mob Home by CryRan88
A short two chapter story about Reigen walking Mob home after work. First chapter: Mob feel asleep and Reigen gives him a piggy back ride to Mob's house. 2nd chapter: Reigen is asleep and Mob gets Dimple to posses him so he can still walk Mob home without actually waking him up.
Mother by Sunlolli
Reigen's got some mommy issues. His mom dies and starts haunting him. The espers in Reigen's life don't want to get rid of her without Reigen's permission but she's really messing him up and he just wants to get some approval from her. Story is a bit depressing but very good.
In Quicksand by SpiritusRex
Reigen gets possessed and gets sick. Unreliable narrator Reigen. Don't worry, the spirit gets caught pretty quickly, and Reigen ends up fine.
It Takes Time by CowardlyBean
A very short fic about Reigen quitting smoking for Mob's sake. Very cute.
you'll have to make due with a reasonable facsimile by SoliAvi
A short fic that takes place right after the end of the separation arc. Reigen and Mob eat ramen together again and Reigen apologizes. Very sweet.
When you need me by SpiritusRex
A 5 + 1 fic. 5 Times Mob hugged Reigen and 1 time Reigen hugged Mob. 1: Little Mob asking for advise about nightmares. 2: Mob being hurt after the Teru fight. 3: Mob holding onto Reigen to float them both back home after the first Claw arc. 4: After the Mogami arc. 5: After separation arc. +1: Reigen hugging Mob after digging him out of the broccoli after 2nd Claw arc.
Rainbow Veins and Life in Technicolor by BinaryDreams1010
As it turns out, Reigen actually IS an esper. He's an empath, and that comes with being able to read and manipulate others emotions. He did not know he was doing that. He just thought he was REALLY good at reading people and convincing them. Serizawa figures it out and tells him. The first story is about Serizawa figuring out Reigen is an empath, the 2nd story is about what Reigen does after knowing he's an empth, that is trying to figure out how to get rid of a spirit on his own.
Use Your Words by CowardlyBean
Reigen gets possessed by a spirit that hates espers. He's stuck in the backseat of his body while it pilots him around, pretending to be him. It's an ass towards Serizawa and Mob. Of course the other characters figure out something is wrong.
Area Hysteria by c_c_cherry
Reigen and Dimple visit a worn down building slated for demolition to get rid of a spirit. The building collapses with them in it. Dimple is fine, Reigen isn't. Dimple posses Reigen's body to help keep him alive and hope for rescue soon. Reigen gets rescued... eventually. But this isn't the end to the problems because Reigen ends up in sort of supernaturally-induced coma that Mob has to get into his head to get him out of. Long story. Marked as unfinished but ends at a really good stopping point. (Update: It started updating again)
Haunting My Own Skin by Kirii_Kitten
Reigen dies and then posses his own corpse to pretend that everything is normal. Dimple is concerned that Reigen's spirit is going to corrupt, his fears are well-founded. Reigen gets found out of course and things go to shit, but there is a happy ending.
symbiosis by ruthwrites
AU in which ???% is a separate entity from Mob and it's made of energy and jumps from esper to esper. When Mob gives Reigen his power during the 1st Claw arc, ???% goes with that energy. Problem is that it didn't go back to Mob, it got stuck in Reigen. I recommend the whole series, the series is kind of depressing though. Reigen really goes through it in this series. I don't want to give too much away but... Reigen isn't gonna come out of this very... human. Each entry in the series is completed, however I can't help but feel the series itself isn't completed, it seems to end on what would be the start of this AUs version of the Separation Arc. It's a bitter ending.
Yesterday by ch_am
Takes place during and after hot springs OVA. Shows Reigen's experience in the parallel dimension. On the train ride home, Reigen has a panic attack and runs off to the bathroom, Serizawa helps him and realizes that Reigen was in that dimension for awhile. Serizawa goes back home with Reigen to make sure that when he wakes up he won't be alone again. They eat breakfast together and talk about what happened.
Reflection by Silver_fox221
Turns out Reigen is a kitsune. He did not know he was a kitsune. He's in denial at first what with these traits only appearing now as a 30-ish year old. But even when he accepts the truth, he can't bring himself to tell the others besides Dimple (who he knows can keep a secret). His kitsune traits include being able to turn into a fox, having a silver orb that's a physical manifestation of his soul that he has to protect, and also a new found fear of dogs. Fic is unfinished but has a very unique idea. I only found a few other stories that had Kitsune!Reigen but in the other ones I saw he already knew he was a fox.
Categories
A lot of fics I like fall within categories, like they play with similar ideas. So I thought I would create lists of fics that cover the same topics. If you like one in a list, you would probably like the others.
Train OVA (Reigen has a bad time)

Day 11 @flufftober “sweet tooth” TakaRitsu . Just tooth ache fluff kind of Drabble.
It’s their first vacation trip as a married couple, and Masamune wants to make it so memorable, that his husband will always remember the time they spent together. Of course, in Japan it’s not a legal marriage, but now that Ritsu is added to his family registrar, Ritsu Onodera is now legally, Ritsu Takano… Oof, just thinking about it still gives Masamune goosebumps. Everything they’ve gone through to get to this point is in the past, and now their future is looking bright. Two successful men in the publishing world, who will one day take over Onodera Publishing, but for today, all that awaits is sand, sea, and a little paddle boarding in Anaeho’omalu Bay in Waikoloa, Hawaii.
The six day, five night honeymoon trip is a collective gift from both sets of parents to give the young couple a little relaxation before starting their fresh beginning. Many tourists choose Oahu island because of it’s wider array of things to do, but considering Ritsu and Masamune come from he city, a city vacation is a the least enticing idea. Therefore, Waikoloa on the west side of the Big Island of Hawaii was chosen for it’s warm climate, and natural beauty— A place where life moves at a relaxing, slower pace that ebbs and flows like the waves on the islands sandy shores.
At the Waikoloa Marriott, Masamune and Ritsu are checked into an oceanside suite on the top floor that overlooks Anaeho’omalu Bay. It’s a pretty typical hotel with it’s pool, bar, restaurant, a salon and small gym, but what makes it special is it’s ties to the local culture. In ancient Hawaii, the local islanders would use the natural landscape of some bays to create what is referred to today as aquaculture ponds and fisheries. By adding rocks and wooden slatted gates, they would entice young fish to swim through the gate by providing abundant food sources, so by the time they try to leave, they’re too big to get through the slats anymore. The shoreline of the hotel features a renovated pond so tourists can see this amazing technique up close. It then stretches out into a mile or so long white sand beach where vendors rent out surfboards, kayaks, and paddle boards.
Around 4 pm, Masamune convinces Ritsu to go out with him on a tandem paddle board as long as he can sit while Masamune does all the paddling for them. It’s September, so the air is still fairly warm despite moving towards autumn. Plus, they didn’t plan to stay out too long.
“The sunset will look the same whether from our balcony or the beach, so I don’t understand why you want to be on a board in the middle of the bay.” Ritsu complains.
“Well,” Masamune counters, “the balcony is not really romantic and the beach has other people. This way, we can relax without distractions.”
“Guess that’s true” Ritsu relents as he sits down in the center of the board.
After kissing his husbands forehead, Masamune stands up and pushes away from the sand with the help of the vendor staff. Thankfully, the weather is on their side with very little wind to stir up the waves. For about twenty or thirty minutes, he paddles against the tide to get them past the break-point in the waves maybe two-hundred yards off-shore. It may not seem so far when you’re just looking out over the water, but when the waves are working against you, and you’re trying hard not to lose balance, it takes time to travel such a distance. But finally, they reach a point where it feels like the tide is no longer pulling too strongly and they can relax, just floating and bobbing surrounded by the deep blue sea. Masamune sits down behind with Ritsu between his stretched out legs, then passes the paddle forward to Ritsu to hold in front of them.
“What do you think?” Masamune asks Ritsu as he wraps his arms around the man. “Isn’t it so much more relaxing like this?”
Ritsu shifts back against his husbands chest. “Okay, I’ll admit it kind of is… Even the way the water is shimmering from the sunset is cool.”
Masamune sighs happily in his contented win. “Boy, the pictures of Hawaii’s sunsets don’t do it enough justice. They’re mostly red and oranges in the photos, but who knew they came with pinks and purples too!”
“I can imagine some of my clients immediately seeing these sunsets and breaking out their colored pens,” Ritsu chuckles and sighs too with a smile. “They’d look amazing with watercolors.” He turns his head so he can see Masamune better. “Thank you for bringing me out here.”
Over the gentle pitter-patter sounds of the water lapping against the fiberglass board, light whooshing of the trade winds, and occasional seabirds flying above, a sense of pure euphoria drowns out the conch shells roar in their ears. There’s a crinkling and tinge of moist shine in Masamune’s eyes as he smiles and leans in, placing a pressure-laden, long-lasting kiss on his husbands lips. “No,” his voice grows fervent, “thank you, for being here with me.”
What a perfect way to end their day.

Dimple
"You got what you wanted, can you stop having me follow a brat around once and for all?" Dimple didn't bother to wait for Shigeo to finish talking on the phone before planting himself in his face.
Dimple had wondered more than once why he would consent to Shigeo treating him like a pet. Then he remembered that the other option was to disappear from this world and Dimple had plans. Becoming a God was not something to be achieved just like that and Shigeo was his best option to accomplish it. And he still couldn't vanish when he didn't even know if there was an afterlife waiting for evil spirits like him.
"How are you so sure?" Shigeo hung up the phone at last.
It was petty revenge, but the spirit gloated at the idea that the strongest ESPer he'd come across in years had to be belittled into picking up the phone and answering customers when it was something he hated with all his soul.
"It would have amused you to watch him cry pleading to your little plaything" Dimple picked his nose feigning indifference. "You got what you wanted and nothing bad happened to that jerk."
"I've told you a thousand times not to call him that. Taka isn't some pastime. You could show more respect." Shigeo frowned. "If you're going to prove to be nothing but a nuisance I can always change my mind."
"Is that what your word is worth?" Dimple turned away, floating into the middle of the office. "I promised you I could be useful. We could do great things together."
"I like my life, I don't need to do great things." Shigeo didn't bother to look up from the notebook in which he was writing down his next appointment.
"Where's the ambition left? The only reason you're going along with this is that kid."
"So what?" Shigeo shrugged. "It's not like I'm good for anything else. I could never have gone to college like Ritsu, nor do I have Teru's people skills. I've been fired from enough places in my life. I don't think I'm doing too badly."
"Oh, speak of the devil!" Dimple returned to stand beside Shigeo at the same second the door banged open against the wall. "I don't understand what use you find for him when he's not even capable of seeing me."
Shigeo gave him a murderous look before smiling at the boy struggling with his crutches in the doorway. Dimple didn't need to be able to read his mind to know that Shigeo wanted him to leave. Shigeo could sit tight if he hoped he would. If things went as Dimple expected, the show might be too entertaining to miss.
"You came all the way out here on crutches!" It took Shigeo barely a moment before he was standing next to the kid. "What if you had fallen? You could have called me, I wouldn't have minded picking you up if you wanted to come so badly."
"I'm not an invalid. It's not that long from home to here," Reigen ignored Shigeo's concern, "and Serizawa came with me."
"If he says so" Dimple replied, taking advantage of Shigeo's helplessness to be spared his snide remarks. "You're suited for each other."
No matter how much he thought about it, Dimple couldn't understand what kind of relationship these two had.
"Serizawa came too?" Shigeo looked nervous upon hearing the other ESPer's name.
With a slight shake of his head, Shigeo threw Dimple a sidelong glance and mumbled for him to leave with barely a twitch of his lips.
It was going to be fun.
"Kageyama-san?" It took Serizawa barely a moment to become aware of his presence as soon as he entered the room. "Why is there an evil spirit in the middle of the office?"
"Dimple?" Shigeo sighed. It wasn't as if denying his existence was going to do him any good with another ESPer. "We made a deal. He helps me with a few things and as long as he's not a danger to anyone I don't exorcize him."
"Shigeo, you hurt me" Dimple floated up to hover over his head. "I thought we were friends."
"The day I find out what you're up to, maybe I'll trust you." Shigeo replied, shaking his hands to push him away.
Reigen had been looking in his direction for a while, but it was easy to see from the frustration on his face that he couldn't see him no matter how much he narrowed his eyes.
"You're going to look like an idiot if you keep doing that." Without much effort, Dimple let his form become visible to even mere mortals without any special skills or powers.
"Aah!" Reigen stumbled, nailing the doorjamb to his back. The crutches fell to the floor. Unable to hold his balance, he put his foot down. " Aw, shit!"
Stepping on the floor with the bad foot must have hurt like hell when the kid's tears came to his eyes.
"Are you okay, did you hurt yourself!" the two ESPers said at the same time. Shigeo and Serizawa's faces looked like a reflection of each other.
"What's that over there?" Reigen pointed a finger at Dimple. "Kageyama-san, tell me that thing isn't to blame for Sato's nightmares."
"A little respect." Dimple put his small transparent arms up in a jug. "You're standing in front of almost a demigod. Who are you calling a thing? And you should thank me. Didn't you like the show?"
"Like it? Like it? Kageyama-san... just tell me it wasn't your idea." Reigen sounded increasingly desperate. "No one should know better than you what it's like."
Shigeo seemed to freeze just inches away from the boy, unable to say anything. It was like watching one of the climactic scenes of a soap opera unfold live on stage. In an instant, half a dozen different emotions flashed across the boy's face.
"I can't believe it," Reigen muttered. "I can't believe it. Really? How could you do something like that?"
"Taka, what did you expect me to do? Someone had to keep you safe." Shigeo reached out trying to shorten the few inches that separated them but Reigen pulled away as if Shigeo's fingers burned at the contact.
"Serizawa, we're not doing a damn thing here." The kid couldn't even look Shigeo in the face anymore. "Help me with the crutches."
Serizawa seemed to have awakened from his lethargy as soon as he heard his name. It took him barely a moment to pick up the crutches from the floor and help Reigen. Carefully, he slipped his arm around Reigen's waist and escorted him back to the threshold. Serizawa's gaze was filled with sadness as he turned one last time before closing the door of Spirits and such behind him.
"Fantastic" Shigeo mumbled dropping into one of the reception chairs and covered his eyes with his forearm. "Thank you very much, Dimple."
"You've done it for his sake, give him a few days and he'll get over it."
"I just hope you're right."

Is it weird to say I want a fanfic where
Reigen and the esper kids are sitting in the office during some downtime between walk-ins and some abusive ex of Reigen’s walks in.
“Taka- there you are~”
The room suddenly becomes suffocating, all the kids following the eye line of the stranger to find it fallen on a suddenly still boss
Reigen gets up from their seat in a stiff manner
“Kids, Serizawa’s been out for a while. Why don’t you all go down to the grocery store and find him-“ taking out a wallet without looking at the amount. “Buy yourselves something if you want~” he says with a soft smile, looking down at Mob who looked a little nervous
“Shishou-“
“Actually, I’ve got a small list. We’re running low on snacks-“ Reigen began to ramble, sweat forming on his forehead as he shoved his hands into pockets. He passes the stranger and scribbles something short on a stray paper
Reigen returns the kids, back ramrod straight as they approached Ritsu and Teru specifically. They hand over the paper
Teru looks down at the paper and frowns. [Give me 10 minutes]
Reigen knows that these kids have seen some bad relationships (minus Tome and the Kageyamas) and doesn’t want to expose them even more bad relationships so he sends them out
Basically just protective Reigen, dad of several equally as protective esper children and Tome with a loving protective boyfriend
Addition:
The man gets physical but Reigen fights back as much as he can just as Serizawa and the kids are coming back. Mob, Shou, Tome (and others) are worried because Serizawa’s aura is flaring up while Teru and Ritsu had serious expressions
They find the door locked, the ex locked it. They hear a scuffle before the door along with the stranger shouting and Reigen shouting right back before Reigen falls quiet
Serizawa breaks the door down, witnessing Reigen holding one hand to his cheek while the stranger was gripping tightly at Reigen’s forearm.
Things levitate suddenly as Katsuya only got more pissed. Arataka tries to calm down his current boyfriend from where they were forced to stand, removing his hand from his face to reveal a red handprint on his right cheek
Katsuya’s aura flares up further as vases and cups shatter. He slams the door back into place when he heard the kids try to see what was happening. They didn’t need to witness this
“So what? You moved on from to this freak show? You really downgraded Arataka~” the man scoffed, a tight grip still on Reigen’s forearm
The ex is suddenly pulled away from Reigen and right into Katsuya’s grasp, the older man holding the ex by the collar of his shirt
“Listen here because I’m only saying this once. You leave this office and never come back. And don’t you ever contact ‘Taka. Never show your face around this parts again”
The kids who were nervously waiting outside, all pressed up to the door to listen in suddenly and nearly fall over as the stranger, now pale and shaken up, stalks right by them without a second glance
The kids all nervously file in to find everything just now slowly floating down back into their original places. Near the back of the office, Serizawa was holding Reigen in a worryingly tight hug while Reigen softly whispered in his ear and brushed his fingers through the older man’s hair to calm him down. He had his right cheek buried into the man’s neck in an attempt to hide it from the kids, even though he knew damn well they’ve seen worse than some growing red welt
Reigen sighs softly as he gently rocked Serizawa from side to side, opening his eyes halfway and sparing a glance down at the kids. He smiles softly, “Didnt find anything of interest at the store?” He asked, trying to lighten the mood
Reigen lets out a surprised grunt when mob joined the hug but doesn’t push him away. He could never do that to the kid so he settles with gently placing a hand on the back of the kid’s head and pulling him closed

I have just thought of an evil Mob Psycho 100 AU
It's very angsty and kind of self-indulgent, so don't read if you dislike too much of that
The concept is essentially if Reigen unlocks psychic powers, but for a huge cost.
So, this AU takes place after the main story where Mob has made peace with ???%. I chose this because I don't want ???% to come out and derail the plot I have planned. Also, during this, I think Serizawa is out on holiday or visiting family or something, because I also don't want him to be present until maybe the end.
Mob had been identified by some evil espers (or regular people) and were insulted (or scared) that he was so strong. So, they decided to do something about him. They sent someone over to Reigen's office to pretend they had a spirit problem; they would weave some scary story about a huge spirit in a lake, and it would be so off-putting that Reigen would be too scared to go without some psychic protection from Mob.
When the person, Reigen and Mob arrive at the lake, the person convinces Reigen to leave for a while (maybe in the car ride, the person took something important from Reigen out of his pocket and hid it). When alone with Mob, the person tries their best to have Mob lower his guard and not have a psychic barrier around him. Once Mob is completely off-guard, the person pulls out a gun and shoots Mob in the head and chest.
Reigen hears the gun shots and decides whatever he left didn't matter, and he needed to check on Mob. When Reigen started running towards where he left Mob, the echoes of the shot were still around, and he could feel a sense of dread rising up inside him and the source of the sounds appeared to be right in front of him.
As Reigen bursts into the scene, he stares in shocked silence, his terror growing exponentially. The person he thought was just another customer was dragging Mob's bleeding body to the lake edge. The person just looks at Reigen over their shoulder, then takes their gun out again and points at Reigen and says something about not wanting to hide another body.
Reigen could feel his emotions rising up in him, and finally culminate with rage. He flung himself at the person, dodging their bullet and knocking them down so they drop Mob. Reigen panicked and quickly went over to hold Mob; he felt even more dread inside as he saw Mob's blood covered shirt and hair up close. Reigen was too stunned for a couple moments, but he was finally able to get his phone and call for an ambulance.
The sound of another gun shot made the air stand still. Or, was it something else? An unbelievable amount of power cascaded out of Reigen as his hand was extended toward the bullet, which was floating completely still mid-air.
Reigen was wielding psychic powers.
But he didn't feel good.
In a moment of pure rage and sadness, Reigen made the bullet fly back to the sender, causing them to fall on their back and bleed out.
Mob is successfully taken to a hospital, where Reigen sits in the waiting room, desperately awaiting news. He decides to call Ritsu and Teru to let them know what happened, and they become shocked and say that they're immediately coming over.
After Reigen hangs up, he leans down and sobs uncontrollably into his lap.
I didn't intend for this to become a short fic-
Obviously, other things would happen after that, but I think it would depend on how the author wants the fic to end.
And I forgot about Dimple
Idk why but I've gotten attached to the idea that sometimes Ritsu wants Dimple to hang around him for a bit, so maybe that was the situation here
This was kinda hard to come up with, since Mob is so powerful, it's hard to present any kind of threat that would effectively take him out. Also I do feel pretty bad about having Mob essentially be an inciting incident, if this were to actually become a fic or comic, he would have more scenes.
Thanks for reading I guess?? And sorry about the heavy angst

Ekubo Week Day 5 - Broccoli
(Dimple & Mob, word count: ~600)
It was a warm August morning. Birds were singing, flowers were blooming, Shigeo Kageyama was walking to school, and despite being extremely overqualified and underappreciated, he still hadn’t quit his job.
“So he paid you in broccoli seeds? Not even 300 yen? And he called you with no notice?”
“Yeah,” murmured Shigeo. He continued facing forward while talking to Dimple, as if he didn’t notice the spirit, but they both knew he was listening.
“And you don’t see a problem with this?” Dimple flew circles around Shigeo’s head. “You could be doing anything else with your time, and yet you choose to rush out to the country for some seeds?”
“It’s not about the payment,” said Shigeo. “It’s good for me to practice using my powers in a constructive way.”
“Don’t quote Reigen at me. He doesn’t appreciate you, Shigeo! He’s just using you for profit!”
“But he also only got vegetable seeds…”
“Not the point!!!” Dimple faced Shigeo, floating backwards to match his pace along the sidewalk. “The point is, you don’t have to do things for people just because they ask. If you live like that, you’ll never have time for yourself! What if Reigen calls you while you’re at your club? Would you choose him over improving your body?”
Shigeo hummed. “I guess… if someone was in danger, I wouldn’t want to ignore that…”
“But is that what YOU really want to do?”
Shigeo stopped walking.
Dimple pressed further. “Yeah, I bet it isn’t, right? Then you should tell him that you’re not his little minion to order around. Take control over your life, Shigeo!”
Shigeo looked at Dimple with slightly narrowed eyes. If his eyebrows were visible, Dimple was sure they would be furrowed. “Master Reigen told me the same thing once,” he said. “That’s why I joined the club in the first place. And he saved Ritsu and Hanazawa and me from those guys… he doesn’t just care about money.”
“So he gave you some decent advice. That’s just how he makes you dependent on him.” Dimple waved his arms around to emphasize his point. “I used to run a cult, I know manipulation tactics when I see them.”
“And aren’t you doing the same thing?” Shigeo’s voice was cold.
Dimple blanched, but recovered quickly. “What makes you think that?” he laughed.
“You want to use me to become God.” If Dimple didn’t know Shigeo, he would be afraid that the kid was about to exorcise him. “You literally told me that.”
Dimple paused. He didn’t want to admit it, but the kid wasn’t stupid; he clearly knew when he was being used. He’d never fallen for any of Dimple’s schemes to get more popular or use his powers to impress Tsubomi. Which made it all the more frustrating that he even answered Reigen’s calls at all.
“You’re right,” he said finally. “I do want that. But at least I’m honest about it. And besides, it’s in your best interests to work with me, Shigeo. What does this Reigen guy do for you that I can’t?”
Shigeo didn’t respond at first. Dimple huffed and continued following him to school. A few minutes later, he spoke again. “I think… Master Reigen is important to me. And so are you. That’s why I listen to both of you, sometimes.” Dimple realized that he had stopped walking. “But I can still make my own choices.” The hand holding his school bag tightened. “I choose to work for him. Just like I choose to let you follow me around.”
Dimple scoffed. “You’ve got weird standards for companionship, you know that?”
“Of course.” Shigeo glanced at him, smiling slightly. “That’s why you’re here, isn’t it?”
“Hey, watch the sass!”

Kinktober Summer Rerun 2024: Omegaverse ● EkuMob 👻🥛
【DAY 04】
[#EkuMob ,omegaverse, Ω!Mob]
Ekubo winced a little when he heard the painful whine coming from the messy nest, making him put down what he had been doing in the kitchen. He carefully floated back towards the bed, trying not to breach into the nest unless Shigeo told him he could. If he had a heart in his tiny ghost form, it would likely be squeezing right now at the sight.
Shigeo looked in pain as his heat had properly set in now, burying himself in what could be called a rather sad nest.
This was the young man’s first heat since he had started college. The first time getting one while away from home and everyone and everything that felt comforting and reassuring. He had been so busy and anxious about the start of the semester that he had somewhat forgotten it was soon to come. He had also brushed off any offer from either Ritsu, Reigen or his other friend to come visit him and drop off things he could need.
Right now it seemed the omega regretted rejecting their offer, forced to make his nest with only things he had with him in his small studio.
Ekubo had tried his best in the upcoming days, taking a human form to try and leave a scent on some of his belongings. But it was obviously not enough, not that he even thought it would be. Shigeo had always been able to use things from his family, and then later on from his close friends. It had to be hard for him now that he had none of that, even more so in such a new and unfamiliar place.
Not to help, Shigeo hadn’t thought of bringing with him the toys that could help relieve himself a little. He had admitted never feeling too painful in the past, mostly drowsy and hot, rarely feeling the need to relieve himself like this. But it was pretty clear that this time it wasn’t the case, it seemed like the young man was in pain, using clumsy hands to try and relieve himself. It was probably all the accumulated stress that had caused this to happen, along with Shigeo getting older.
It was a little painful to watch.
“Shige-chan” Ekubo said softly, floating down to his level, little ghost hand reaching out carefully to touch his forehead. The omega soon moved his head to look at him, nuzzling the little hand a little, seemingly enjoying the coolness of his skin. “Do you need any help?” he asked.
Shigeo blinked at him once, as if slowly processing the question. He then nodded, moving his head again to kiss the hand before licking it. “Help me, please” he whined, a hand reaching out for him.
This had Ekubo pause a little bit, allowing the young man to grab onto him and bring him into his nest. Shigeo was soon nuzzling against him, as if trying to scent the little ghost. “Are you sure?” Ekubo asked him, wanting to make sure it wasn’t just Shigeo’s heat-muddled brain speaking. He would be happy to help him out, as the omega was someone precious to him.
But he didn’t want shigeo to regret it either, especially since he never really had anyone else take care of him through a heat.
This had the omega frowning a little bit, even pouting. “Yes I am… unless you don’t want to…” He answered, before looking a little upset and defeated at the thought that Ekubo wouldn’t want to help him out. Clearly, he trusted him and wanted Ekubo to be the one helping him out right now, no one else.
Seeing him get a little upset at the false thought the spirit wouldn’t help had Ekubo a little panicked, quickly patting his head. “Of course, I want to help you” he assured him, which immediately had Shigeo looking pleased, “I just wanted to make sure, that’s all”.
With that he wiggled his way out of the young man’s grip, floating over a somewhat empty spot of the nest. He focused on transforming, trying for something a little more specific than usual. Thanks to Shigeo helping him regain a lot of his powers he could once again take on a human form without possessing people. Although it was rather taxing and he couldn’t do it for as long as he once was able to.
He hummed slightly when it was done, everything seeming to be alright. He also felt strong enough to be able to stay like this for a good amount of time. Maybe he’d be able to keep this form throughout most of Shigeo’s heat, although he would need to refrain from changing form for a while afterwards.
But if it was for Shigeo’s sake, he didn’t mind it.
With that done he crawled back closer to the omega, looming over him a little bit. He was surprised when Shigeo immediately looped his arms around his neck, pulling him down to scent him. “You smell good, Ekubo” the young man commented, which left Ekubo a little unsure what to reply, not quite used to this.
“I don’t think I smell that much” he chuckled, “This body isn’t really of a proper dynamic, I’ll probably need to work on that later on”. He had long since forgotten what dynamic he once had when he was alive and most spirits didn’t really share this. And the ones who do take it from when they were alive.
Right now, all Ekubo could do was artificially try to emulate what the omega would need. It would have been a different thing if he had decided to possess someone, but he felt like Shigeo wouldn’t have liked that.
“It’s not true” Shigeo purred against him, hand now starting to try and pull off the clothes he had transformed into. “You smell like fresh peppermint and citrus” he replied, “I like it”. This had Ekubo grinning a little bit, rather happy that the scent he had seemed to please him. It would have actually been a problem if it was the opposite.
“If you must know, you also smell really good” he assured him, leaning down to leave some kisses along his throat. “It reminds me of milk candies,” he said, thinking about it a little bit. It was a little hard to tell since his own nose wasn’t quite as good at catching onto scent right now. “It’s also really sweet and warm”.
The purring only got stronger as Shigeo seemed pleased, as if the idea of his scent pleasing him was a victory.
Ekubo continued kissing his skin gently as his hand carefully started undressing the young man, throwing away the sweaty clothes. He had touched Shigeo in the past, but this felt entirely different when the purpose was to relieve him. He had never realised just how soft his skin actually was, it made him want to touch more.
“You look really pretty” Ekubo hummed as he sat back on his heel, looking down at the naked omega. This had Shigeo blushing, looking away a little not quite used to it. He had gotten comments about how weird it was for an omega to want to train so much and get more muscular. The exact opposite of the idea people had of them staying small and soft.
Despite how Shigeo didn’t quite care, only wanting to be himself, it was clear his inner omega felt hurt by those comments at times.
But this is what made him look so good to Ekubo’s eyes. He could see all the hard work Shigeo had been pouring into his training. He didn’t look like a bodybuilder, but it was still rather evident that he had built muscle. It made him want to touch every inch of his body, feel the muscle flex under his touch, grab onto the parts that still seemed soft.
Shigeo was truly gorgeous and if others couldn’t see it then they were blind.
“Don’t stare” Shigeo said quietly, hiding behind his forearms. This had the spirit laugh gently, using some weak psychic powers to pry them open. “How can I not stare when I have such a beautiful sight in front of me?” he asked a little teasingly.
Then he started tripping too, finishing the poor job the young man had started earlier. He could understand Shigeo a little bit as he felt his gaze bore into him, heated eyes following every bit of skin that was uncovered. Truly if either of them needed to be conscious it should be him, seeing how average this body seemed to be.
He could work on that later.
For now, he was satisfied that it seemed to at least please the young man. He was a little surprised when hands suddenly grabbed onto his pants, trying to pull them down even if he hadn’t finished unbuckling the belt. “You really are eager” he laughed, although he did decide to speed up a little bit, remembering how in pain Shigeo had looked earlier. Hopefully, it had gotten a little better after he started touching him.
He easily moved them around, trying to find a position that would be more comfortable, settling between Shigeo’s legs. He leaned over him, deciding to steal a little kiss from him to test the water. He hadn’t expected an arm to loop around his neck, pulling him in for more, but he sure wasn’t going to reject it all. He started kissing him more deeply, his free hand roaming over his body instead, going south.
He smiled into the kiss when he heard Shigeo moan loudly when he managed to slip two fingers inside of him with ease. “You’re leaking so much I could probably fit more inside already” he chuckled, looking down their bodies. Even the omega’s small cock was leaking clear precum all over his own stomach.
“Stop teasing me and just do it,” Shigeo asked, looping a leg around his hip to bring him closer. He immediately moaned when he felt the older man’s erection rub against his, missing his pussy by little. It had him whining again, rutting clumsily against him, unsure if he wanted more friction against his sensitive cock or to fuck himself onto Ekubo’s long fingers.
“I don’t want to hurt you,” Ekubo said, kissing along his jaw. “So I am just making sure you will be okay, but from the look of it I shouldn’t have gotten too worried in the first place” he chuckled. He still decided to keep fucking him with his fingers, even adding a third one inside of him. He kept pumping them in and out of the omega, probing a little to see if he could reach his sweet spot.
His grin came back when he found his g spot, targeting it until he had shigeo cumming on his fingers for a first time.
He leaned back up a little to take a good look at Shigeo, licking and fingers and palm clean at the same time. He looked debauched, half-lidded eyes looking at him hazily, chest heaving. He could even hear him hum and purr satisfied to have finally cum properly since he started his heat.
But it seemed like this wouldn’t be enough, not that Ekubo thought it would do the job.
“More,” Shigeo asked, hand reaching to grab onto Ekubo’s cock. “I want this inside of me next,” he asked, his tone a lot more demanding this time. And well, who was Ekubo to deny him what he wanted in his moment of need.
Then Shigeo grew a little more curious when his hands reach the base of Ekubo’s cock. He then started feeling around a little, clearly touching something bigger at the base, similar to a deflated knot. This had him looking up at Ekubo, rather confused as he couldn’t smell any alpha pheromone and scent coming from the spirit.
“I focused a little to get something we might need,” he said, groaning when he felt Shigeo’s touch growing a bit more insistent. It felt really good to have his hand wrapped around his dick like this, but he didn’t want to cum yet. This wasn’t for his own pleasure, but to make Shigeo feel good.
He stopped the omega in his curious touch, gently grabbing his wrist to make him let go. Once he was freed from the teasing hand he took hold of himself, getting closer between the omega’s leg, forcing them open a little more. The eager look on the young man’s face was enough to tell him he was ready to go.
Yet he still only rubbed the head against his pussy at first, spreading more slick around, jerking himself off a little as he spread slick over himself too. Just as Shigeo was about to complain about him teasing him again he then pushed in, sinking in with one smooth motion. This had the omega moaning loudly, grabbing at the bedsheet.
Ekubo then stopped moving once he bottomed out, leaning down over Shigeo to kiss him some more, travelling down to his neck, licking at his scent gland. He wanted for him to get accustomed to him, groaning and panting at how good it felt to be inside of him, so warn and thigh. It made it a little hard to not just start trusting into him.
But after a moment he felt Shigeo relax once again, moving his hip tentatively by himself. The sound he made nearly sent shivers down Ekubo’s back, wanting to hear more of it. So he pushed himself back up a little, starting to move his hips slowly, savouring the sensation of Shigeo clenching around him as he pulled out, before pushing deep in again.
It wasn’t too long before he started picking up the pace, hands grabbing onto the omega’s hips to keep him from moving too much. He focused on trying to brush against his g spot again, grinning once more when he heard him mewl at the pleasure, keeping that angle.
He continued fucking the young man, the sound of moans, groans and skin slapping against skin filling the room. He continued even as Shigeo came two more times on his dick, barely letting him have time to recover before continuing as he demanded.
He’d sometimes play with his cock, getting even more beautiful sounds out of his cute omega. He even took on kissing and licking at his nipples, enjoying the hard little nubs and how sensitive they also seemed to be. Anything to make him feel good was fair game, especially when Shigeo could sometimes hug his head in place, forcing him to continue.
But he also started feeling himself grow closer, the knot at the base of his cock inflating a little. He thought of pulling out so as to not spill everything inside of the young man, only to feel legs wrapped around him. “Don’t, cum inside” Shigeo whined, forcing him closer.
Ekubo didn’t even have time to argue against that because, with one last deep thrust, he started spilling deep inside of the young man. He was a little surprised that his knot did lock in place, Shigeo cumming for a fourth time around it. He still grinding his hips a little as he finished cumming, waves of pleasure washing over his body.
He had clearly forgotten how good this felt.
He held just as closely onto Shigeo as they slowly came down from their orgasms, breath uneven and ragged. He groaned a little as he still felt the young man twitching and clenching around him. Despite Shigeo’s protest he still pulled out, knot easily slipping out. He decided they would worry later on about the possibility of a spirit somehow still being fertile or not.
For now, he only laid back down on the bed, pulling the purring omega close to him as he seemed to be drifting into sleep, looking satisfied. He enjoyed the way Shigeo nuzzled his way right under his jaw, breathing in his scent.
As then started wondering if he should stay like this despite how tired he felt or turn back into his smaller ghost form to keep some powers for later. This is when he felt something refreshing seeping into him, chuckling when he realised it felt exactly like Shigeo’s powers, sharing some with him.
“Don’t tire yourself out for me” he said, kissing his temple, “I’ll stay with you for as long as you’ll need me around” he assured him. He smiled softly when this made the young man purr loudly.
They slowly drifted off to sleep afterwards.

spirits and such office dog
Tumblr media
the more i think about reigen having an office dog the more i go feral over it. the possibilities are so soft. i mean just think about it.
just the general vibe would be so good like- i always picture the spirits and such office as a place where not a whole lot of work gets done and it's mostly just the crew hanging out and listening to classical music while they pretend to work and adding a very chill dog to that? impeccable vibes
can't decide if a tiny dog or a big dog would be better bc on the one hand a tiny dog curling up in reigen's lap like a cat while he works? kill me now that's so cute!! but also having a big dog sit across people's feet or next to the couch so they can pet the dog while they explain their problems?? the viBES!!
if somebody's allergic or just doesn't like dogs he turns to serizawa like "i have a very important job for you." and serizawa salutes like he's about to take on a battle but then just scoops the dog up and walks into the other room
(the idea is for him to come back but serizawa appreciates the opportunity to listen to the client stories somewhere he can't be Perceived. so he "keeps the dog company" while he listens in from the other room and reigen comes in when the client is done to hear what serizawa thinks)
also the thought of all reigen's neighbors thinking he's just walking a dog normally before realizing he's always in a suit and they don't see him come back for hours and hours and they start wondering where he's going that he needs a dog AND a suit at the same time
taking the dog outside throughout the day gives him an opportunity for smoke breaks where mob can't see him (even after/if he quits, he appreciates the chance for some fresh air and a change of scenery). he leans against the wall with one leg crossed in front of the other with the end of the leash around his wrist and his hand in his pocket while he just lets the dog wander and say hi to people that walk past. (i am. so very gay for the image of this.)
when they go out for field jobs he pats the dog on the head and tells it to "hold down the fort" every. single. time.
i'm not sure if the cafe above their office is like- run by them or if it's a separate business but either way i love the idea of whoever's up in the cafe coming down during breaks to pet the dog.
the dog going absolutely batshit the first time dimple shows up and it takes everybody a minute to figure out what the problem is bc they're so used to seeing him.
the dog eventually gets used to him, which means it also stops barking when there's a Haunted Object around, which reigen figured out was a pretty handy thing. he's gone long enough without it that it's not a big deal, but he still trains it with nonverbal commands to bark when he knows something is haunted bc. the theatrics of it all. the best actor that he doesn't have to pay (except in lots of treats once the client leaves). and it's not like him moving his hands around is all that conspicuous bc i mean have you seen this man? the hardest part is helping the dog figure out when not to bark
i remember reading that one of mob's hobbies is making dogs float?? and just. ever so slightly hovering the dog above the ground and zooming it around. it might freak the first time but after that it's just like how dogs stick their head out the windows of cars and a great time is had by all.
everybody accepts that the dog is mostly reigen's but the others take it home for a night sometimes, and as much as reigen loves the dog he's thankful for the break. probably not mob or ritsu bc of their parents but serizawa takes it bc the dog laying on his chest helps him sleep, and it's not like teru's parents are around to tell him not to when it makes his apartment feel less empty.
just. please give reigen a therapy dog. he deserves it.

Gotham Queen: Hazama
So, a while ago, I saw this post where someone, either @assclass-dump or @bea2804 (I don’t remember which one was it, and I am not about to roam through the Hazama tag just to find that one post, so I’ll tag both just in case) point out how Hazama has a unique cape in Koro Q.
The moment I saw that cape, I instantly thought of one thing: Batman.
That lead to an idea of a Hero!Hazama AU where she was part of the bat-fam, and all because of that one cape.
Anyway, I’ve been trying to think of some Hazama content, and today, I had an idea for a drabble based on that one idea.
***
If she were to be completely honest, seeing the legendary bat-cave was....disappointing.
It was exactly as she'd imagined it: big cave full of fancy equipment, a giant computer, and oh, we shouldn't forget the shiny bat mobile.
Really, what do you expect from a billionaire vigilante?
"Answer the question."
Red orbs met the narrowed white slits of none other than the caped crusader himself. Hazama wondered if this was the notorious "bat glare" that was rumored to send shivers down one's spine. If that were the case, then it was another disappointment. 'He should see my mom when she's in one of her moods.'
Maybe it was just her. After all, nothing came close to the haunting eyes of her own mother as well as the soul-shattering screams that had become the title track of her miserable childhood. In fact, everything else paled in comparison to the devil woman that was her mother.
Hazama shrugged. "I tracked you down, that's it.”
The glare deepened, not that it had any effect on her. 'Maybe I should show him that picture of mom, tell him to take notes.'
"How exactly?" Batman questioned.
"I had help."
"Who?"
'An AI who roams the internet. Oh, and she's been living your big, bat-computer, so that's how I know who you and your sidekicks really are.'
Of course, she wasn't going to tell him that, mainly to get under his skin, but there was a reason as to why she was here in the first place.
"It doesn't matter right now." Hazama spoke, straightening in her seat and regarding the hero with a serious look. "I'm here to help with the tentacled monsters that're suddenly popping up."
The Dark Knight did not seem pleased by that answer. In fact, he was growing irritated with this mysterious girl who had casually strolled in that bat cave like it was no big deal.
"Kirara Hazama." Nightwing stood next to Batman, a tablet in hand. "Sixteen years old. Japanese nationale. Transfer student at Gotham Academy." He looked up to meet the girl's eyes. "Not to mention, you were one of the students involved in that whole assassination ordeal from last year."
Hazama clutched her elbow. A year had passed since Korosensei's passing, but it was still felt so recent, as though that fateful night was only hours ago. Her heart clenched when she remembered the the tiny, yellow orbs floating around them, the feeling of Korosensei literally slipping through her fingers was unforgettable.
And now, her past had followed her all the way to another country; Hazama didn’t know if this was life trying to be funny, but if it were truly the case, then it was an utter, humorless fail.
Really, all she wanted was to be as far away as possible from her controlling mother, and the opportunity comes in the form of a transfer exchange program. But then one day, she gets attacked by a creature bearing an eerie resemblance to her late teacher. It had everything: the tentacles, the yellow skin, and even that trademark grin of his.
“Koro...sensei?”
Except that grin had been laced with malice, and before the girl could comprehend what was happening, she found a tentacle wrapped around her neck and dangling her in the air to suffocate.
“Sensei!”
Were it not for her assassination training, Hazama would not have managed to escape. Those had arguably been the most horrifying seconds of her life, more horrifying than the Okinawa ordeal, where Hazama truly believed herself nearing death’s door.
“It’s not him.” She breathed, her hand seemingly glued to her neck. “Korosenei would never...”
And she was right, especially after more and more of these psuedo-senseis appeared on the streets of Gathom city, wrecking havoc in a manner akin to mindless zombies. Hazama didn’t know their origins, but she was deadset on unraveling this mystery. ‘And...’ She bit her bottom lip.
And maybe...by some strange, unforeseeable miracle, he would be be alive.
Batman scrutinized the girl, her melancholy was not lost on him. The sadness glinting in her eyes was uncomfortably familiar, one that told the story of loss. He may not of read it, but he felt like he already knew the tale.
But that wasn’t the issue at hand. He will eventually learn how this girl managed to track him down, not to mention, do a thorough background check.
But for now, his priorities lied in handling the “Octopus terror” that had plagued Gotham. If this Kirara Hazama person had a solution to this, he was willing to listen, though her words will be taken with a grain of salt. After all, Batman did not trust her, not when she had somehow figured out their secret identities.
“Kirara, was it?”
“Hazama.” She corrected. “I don’t like my first name all that much, so just call me, Hazama.”
The man was silent for a few moments before responding “Very well then, Hazama.” He crossed his arms. “What do you know about these creatures?”
“Not much.” She admitted. “But they’re undoubtedly linked to my teacher.”
“Your teacher?”
“The one we were tasked with killing.” She explained, ignoring the slight ache in her heart. “I know how his past; maybe that could help us get to the bottom of this.”
“Uh...us?” Nightwing spoke up. “Kid, we’re talking dangerous stuff here.”
Hazama raised an eyebrow. “And?”
“What do you mean “And”?” The acrobat questioned irritably.
“Just because you have information on these creatures doesn’t mean you can come with us.” Batman said, regarding her with his notorious bat-glare once more.
Hazama glared back at him. “You’re going to need me.” She said firmly.
 “I won’t.”
“You will.” She argued. “For a whole year, my class and I were trained on how to kill that octopus.”
The bat glare intensified. “We don’t kill.”
“Neither do we.” She walked closer to bat until the distance between them was a few centimetres. “At least not when it comes to human life.”
She then pulled out her anti-sensei knife for the two men to see. “This is what I used when I was attacked by one of the monsters. To humans, it’s just a rubber knife.”
She bent it slightly to prove her point. “But it’s a deadly weapon to those monsters.”
The two heroes still didn’t look convinced.
“We spent a whole year studying that octopus, jolting down all his weaknesses.” She met Batman’s gaze with a determined look. “Like it or not, you’re going to need us.”
Batman narrowed his eyes. “Us?”
“Correct!”
The two men whipped their heads to the bat computer, their eyes widening at the sight of a purple-haired girl displayed on screen.
Ritsu smiled brightly at the two and waved. “Hello!”
The Dark Knight was the first to recover from his shock. He turned back to Hazama, bat-glare ever present.
“I take it this is who helped you, correct?”
The Goth gave him a smug smile. “Yup; and she’ll be a big help in this mission.”
“You bet!” There was a glitch on screen and suddenly, Ritsu was dressed in a female version of Batman’s costume.
Batman was absolutely not amused by this.
“Alright.” He turned back to Hazama. “But once this is over, you both will be answering some question. Is that clear?”
The girl shrugged. “Sounds fair.” She smirked. “But if you’re gonna interrogate me again, you’re gonna need to do better than glaring. Here, take notes.”
She then held up picture and gave it to Batman. Curious, Nightwing leaned closer, then jerked back a second later.
“Yikes!” He yelled in fright. “What is that?!”
“My mom.” The girl replied casually. “I use this to scare off cat-callers. It’s the one thing my mom’s good for.”
Batman regarded her with a neutral look. “Not the best relationship, I suppose?”
“Nope.” She stretched her arms and walked away.
“Where do you think you’re going?” The Bat asked, narrowing his eyes.
“I’m starving.” She replied without even looking back. “Your butler said he’ll be making dinner, right? We can’t save Gotham on empty stomachs.”
Nightwing chuckled slightly. “First Tim, now this Hazama kid.” He turned to his former mentor with a playful smirk. “It’s pretty hilarious how a bunch of kids can easily deduce your secret identity, huh?”
Batman’s only response was a glare, followed by him holding up the photo to show Nightwing the devil herself.
***
I have no idea what I just wrote...
Question: Has anyone in this fandom ever thought of an AC/DC crossover where Hazama was apart of the bat-fam before?
Because I’m starting to like the idea, especially when I imagine her endlessly trolling the Dark Knight.
Hazama in the bat clan....so many possibilities...Maybe have her be the new batgirl...or take on a completely original mantle...

Yako stares at the clinic ceiling, still too sore to lift her head too much or, as she’d prefer to be doing, cause a nuisance for the clinic staff. After sleeping for hours (days, maybe? it feels like time is passing too slowly), she’s awake, for better or worse. Her body feels like the time she got knocked across a field with a broadsword. Breathing or shifting too much in her bed makes her muscles strain uncomfortably, and a sharp pins-and-needles feeling comes back.
...Phew, it feels like she’s been through it. Most of it’s a muddled mess in her mind. She remembers... the labyrinth, walking endlessly, being alone. She thinks she had a visitor, no, a few, a bunch? since she got back home, but she was half-asleep, so it’s a little hard to recall. Did Cu and Connla pop their heads in, maybe? Did Mash? Ritsu?
...It’s quiet in here. It must be late. Or early...
Tumblr media
“Ody?” she asks, quietly, but no voice answers her. ... “Ody,” she says, more insistently. Nothing. Yako sits up, searches for a terminal to tap on, despite the numbness in her arms. Her comms are gone... she must’ve left them in the labyrinth. Her jacket... where is it? She’s not wearing it.
...
Yako rolls off the edge of the bed. She stumbles, bare feet on tile floor, feeling like she’s walking on knives. Even if someone drags her back, as long as she can be sure that everything’s fine...
-
Alone. It’s cold. It hurts. She’s alone. It’s so cold. It hurts so, so bad. Burned to a crisp and then exposed to the freezing cold of the outside. There’s no one here. The hallway goes on forever. She was supposed to have reached the elevator by now.
There’s windows. ...It’s supposed to be snowy. Chaldea was snowy. Yako stares out the giant windows, the ones that run from floor to ceiling the size of a cathedral, so big it makes her feel like Fou; the world outside is...
...space.
Twinkling, vast, the stars paint the universe, glittering and surrounding. Her breath catches and she presses her face to the glass; but she falls through, no glass to catch her, and finds herself tumbling out into the depths beyond. ...With no air to yell, she uselessly tries to swim backwards, but there’s nothing to push herself against. She floats, drifting away, even colder and more alone than before. The chill stings her scars, feels like the white-hot inferno she’s been bathed in before.
...
...How long is she like this? Staring out at the billions of stars she can’t reach, so beautiful but too far away to grasp.
I am Ananga. I am Atanu. I am Manmath and Kusumashar...
Yako turns her head, trying to find the source of the voice. It feels like it’s coming from everywhere at once...
Born from the mind. Lacking a body. No, my body was burned away. All because I did what that nagging goddess asked me to do, and interrupt her husband’s meditation just so she could get it on with him. Talk about throwing a tantrum. Why was I punished for doing something I was supposed to do?
...Hey, just why are you here? Do you want to steal a peek at me that badly? I’m not in the mood, so get the hell out.
She’s back on solid ground again. This is... her high school?
White-painted brick walls covered with posters. A chalkboard that just had a smart-board installed in the last year. Metal desks and tile floor, and herself, a weighty backpack over her shoulders. She shrugs it off and drops it on the floor, and sinks into a desk chair, even though there’s no one here. She stares out a window, at a clear-blue sky with a ring in it...
...
She hasn’t thought about this place in a while. It wasn’t a very great place for her. Of course she threw all she had into it, but it was like things went in one ear and out the other, no matter how many times she tried reading textbooks or taking useless notes---the things she focused on were never the things on the tests, or she knew an answer but forgot it as soon as she stared at a quiz... All she really had to look forward to was chatting with her friends at lunchtime, though it felt like they were better friends with each other than with her. After school she would sit with a book, wishing the world, and her monotonous everyday with it, would just disappear, and she’d exist like that right up until the time she was supposed to be applying for colleges, suddenly remembering she was expected to fit herself into a world that wasn’t made for her, find something to ‘do’ and stick her identity to for the rest of her life, make something of herself so she didn’t disappoint her parents (though she’s sure that ship has sailed already)---but just what are you supposed to do when you’re not good at anything?
It was, in a word---
Tumblr media
---so lonely.
Someone sits next to her. She doesn’t try to talk to them. Who is that, anyway? Where’s the teacher? The rest of the class? It’s too quiet... Did she come here on a weekend by accident? (Then how did she get inside?)
...Oh, right. She’s not in school anymore. She graduated, things happened, and then she thought she’d gotten her first job, when...
...
“It’s not much to look at,” Yako pipes up, resting her chin in her hand. “I have more interesting memories.” She doesn’t look away from the window. It doesn’t matter who it is. “Unless you’re trying to find something that makes me insecure? ...Yeah, then I guess you found it.”
She sinks down in her seat, folds her arms on top of the desk, leans her head down. “Being trapped. Being stuck. Being forced to play a role that I just can’t. ...I can’t even think of what I thought I was gonna do. I think I thought I’d take a gap year that would turn into being a high-school grad with no future hopping between part-time jobs because it felt better than trying to... do something with myself. And then... here I am. Saving the world. Giving up a normal life altogether just because I haven’t figured my shit out by eighteen. Makes me kinda feel like an ungrateful asshole... My parents just wanted to make a good life for me, and that’s how I repaid them.”
She waves a hand dismissively. “Maybe it’s the atmosphere that makes me want to talk. I don’t really care.”
There’s silence. No... maybe she just can’t hear? Outside the window, it’s turned to night, the stars glittering beautifully. The lamps in the schoolyard parking lot look kind of like little suns.
“Not like any of this is gonna help you. I don’t have any doubts about what I’m doing. I know it’s the right thing, and I’ll keep going, no matter what. ...But I have regrets, yeah. I wish I’d tried harder. I wish I hadn’t given up like that, or become such... a shell. If you showed me a picture of who I looked like when I graduated, I’d ask you why her eyes look so dead.”
...It was only natural for me to become like this.
Tumblr media
“I got here. I learned magic existed. I learned I could do magic. I learned I was chosen because I could do magic. I thought I found an adventure made just for me. And then--- I... ran away. I knew it would disqualify me. I’d be sent home. I was afraid I’d screw it up. I hid in a bathroom, and I think... that’s the only reason I’m still alive...” (Is she crying...?) “I remember prying open the door and the metal burning my hands, but I just kept going, because I was desperate, I didn’t want to die here. I remembered I was supposed to be able to do magic, so I used a reinforcement spell, even if I didn’t know what that was, and I pulled open the door and got myself out. I should’ve run away. Instead, I ran towards the core... the Rayshift room. I tried to get people out. Everyone in there was dead already. I wanted to save someone... just one person...
“...but the smoke was bad, and there wasn’t enough air... and I realized I would die in there if I stayed, but I wanted to help someone... and then a hole opened up and I heard screaming and there was the Director and she--- ...and then I...”
The feeling of dizziness and suffocating as smoke clogs your mouth. Flames licking at your skin. If you don’t want to die, form a contract with me.
"All this place does is remind me of how useless I used to be. ...And still am, in a lot of ways. No matter how many times I tell myself I’m stronger now, I can take care of myself, I still find ways to cause problems for everyone. I keep having to get saved. I told myself I’d practice, I’d learn, I’d put more effort into this than I have anything else in my entire life, but I’m still lagging behind.”
And maybe she always will be. Maybe she’ll never be enough.  Those thoughts will always stick with her, even after all the progress she’s made.
"...But the funny thing is... Yeah, I’m frustrated, but it just makes me want to try harder. Like if I just stretch out a little more, maybe I can grab those stars outside. It’s weird, right? I feel kinda like I should want to give up... but I just can’t. I want to keep going. I want to get stronger. It’s not even in an ‘I’m gonna prove myself wrong’ way, it’s just... natural. It feels good. If nothing’s a challenge anymore, then what’s the point of living? I’ll just go back to being bored all the time.”
She sits up again and turns her head, meeting a face she doesn’t quite recognize. She smiles, then she laughs, feeling a bit vulnerable.
“So even if you want to tell me it’s useless and I should give up, all I can say is... sorry, I’m too dumb to know when to count myself out. I’ll just keep going, getting stronger, getting knocked down, and getting back up again. See, the thing is, the more times you peel yourself off the pavement, the faster you get at it---and the less it hurts.”

Yako stretches and yawns, the pain in her body lessened somewhat. It’s probably the medicine, sure. She doesn’t feel as feverish, but she still feels like her muscles are made out of marbles... Man, it’ll suck if she needs to build up her strength again before she can head out in the next Lostbelt.
“Ody?” she calls, absentminded. From a terminal by her bedside, a sound chimes.
[ Good to see you again, Yako. ]
“Ody! I was worried about you. What happened?”
[ The computer systems had been compromised, so I isolated my program from the kernel. ]
“Well, I’m sure glad to hear from you again! Just you wait, once I’m out of the clinic I’m coming for the sim! For some reason, I’m feeling really motivated!”
[ I’ll be sure to take your physicians’ recommendations into account. ]
Aww, seems like she’ll have to take it easy for a while. Ah, well. She’ll just have to find her momentum again! “Hehe. Sounds great. Let’s do our best together, okay?”

Day 1 @takaritsuweek
High School- First Date
Just what the hell was he doing, walking down the street with his underclassman practically skipping down the sidewalk slightly ahead of him. Excitement radiated off the boy after they’d left the PandaWay and started off toward the bookstore. He didn’t get it, not at all. Why was Oda so happy over all of this? He’d already told the boy that he’d seen him by chance, looking like an idiot and terrified out of his mind standing outside the sandwich shop with that stupid blush on his cheeks that annoyed him to no end. They’d even talked about the new magazine that was coming out and the kid should have known that Saga was on his way to get it too, wasn’t he supposed to be his stalker, he was doing a poor job of it if he didn’t know his routine. Why the hell did he look so happy and surprised at him following at a languid pace with his hand stuffed in his pocket and his book bag slung carelessly over his shoulder and held in place by his other hand.
And he wouldn’t shut up! Sempai this and Sempai that, showing far too much enthusiasm in comparison to his own bored facade. Zoning out his incessant chatter, he turned his attention to a passing girl that was giggling softly over the excitable Ritsu in front of him and then blushed fiercely at the scowl that was earned from the upperclassman behind the puppy like boy.  Masamune had to wonder at the flare of feeling that had erupted in his chest when he’d seen the girl checking out his kouhai, what should he care? Again, none of this made sense to the boy that had no experience with having someone paying so much attention to him. The silly guy would blabber on, completely missing that a cute girl had been checking him out, skipping ahead a few feet and then he’d look over his shoulder at him with a smile and actually wait for him before he’d bound off down the road again. He just didn’t get Oda at all, but when the boy tripped and stumbled along before catching himself instead of doing the faceplant the elder thought for sure he was about the witness, he couldn’t help but have a soft smile curved his lips as the other looked back at him with a bashful blush and a self depreciating giggle. What a clutz, he should be paying more attention to where he was going instead of checking up on him all the time, well stalkers do what a stalker does.
“I hope they haven’t sold out!” Ritsu worried in that innocent tone when he looked back at Saga-Sempai, worrying his lower lip between his teeth and willing his racing heart to calm down before it bounded out of his throat.
Masamune lifted and dropped a single shoulder in a shrug, as if the whole thing didn’t matter to him when in truth he was concerned about it as well. His cool facade never slipping save for the smile he didn’t even realise the other had coaxed from him. “Well Im not gonna run down the street like an idiot.” he spoke in his disillusioned monotone. That only brought a brighter blush to the younger boy’s cheeks as he hunched his shoulders and slowed down for him again, casting him a side eye as his kouhai mumbled lowly for only his ears.
“I’m probably embarrassing you, sorry Sempai.”
And then his face lit up nearly blinding him with that stupid smile of his that made his insides twist all funny. Nearly cringing from the angelic aura that seemed to surround the boy. Just what planet dropped this weird boy off on Earth!?
“I’m just soooo excited for Usami-Sensei’s latest installment! It’s so amazing that he’s our age and has so much talent!” he added in an afterthought because of what his beloved Sempai had said, “even if his stories are weird!” but oh so interesting to him!
Didn’t this kid have an off switch? Damn, his glow was overpowering, making the elder squint and then avert his gaze or lose his vision indefinitely. Trying to ignore the giddity feeling that was infecting him due to the younger boy’s antics. Nodding his head toward the front window display of the bookstore, “Looks like there’s no need to worry.” and then the kid squealed, actually girly squealed and raced ahead and into the store where some of the magazines they wanted were on display out front.
By the time he came cruising in at his on sedate pace, the boy was already racing back to him with two magazines in his hands and bouncing on the balls of his feet, holding out one of the copies towards him excitedly.
“There were only two left, the rest are display! Lucky huh Sempai?!” his voice in a hushed ‘We’re in a sacred place now’ tone. Green eyes gleaming like jewels towards the mysterious amber of his ‘boyfriend’ He still couldn’t quite believe it and thought for sure that he’d wake up from this fantastic dream any second. No matter how badly he wanted to stay in this fantasy realm where his sempai spent time with him and actually talked to him. Even though it was in a bored fashion it was more than the youth could have ever hoped for and filled his tender heart near to bursting.
The guy was seriously gonna faint if he didn’t calm down, watching him wander back up to the shelves of books for sale, looking for any new releases, Masamune sauntered up to join him. Gleaning over the titles, he found another magazine that had the second installment of an author that he liked, “Tch, I missed the first installment of this one.” he picked up the magazine anyway and started to sift through the others, wondering if maybe an older copy was tucked behind.
Ritsu made a soft excited gasp and whispered fervently, “Oh, that one is sooo good! I’m sure I still have the first installment at home.” his face lit up as he came up with a brilliant idea, “If you can’t find it Sempai, I’ll let you borrow my copy.” though with his poor organizational skills it may take him a while to find it, but he didn’t mention that to Saga-Sempai.
Another bored shrug was given, he didn’t take the guy seriously of course, but he still wanted to read what of the story that he could. Even if he didn’t read the first part he should be able to piece it all together as long as he kept up on the rest of them. “Alright, I’m done.” glancing at the boy in passing as he was looking through a rack of bookmarks.
“I’m coming!” he called softly to the other’s receding back as Ritsu picked a pale blue bookmark decorated with a sakura branch in full bloom with a quote from one of his favorite passages from Sumi-sensei’s best-selling novel. Scurrying after the upperclassman and asking in a low tone, “I’m gonna go to the park across the street to read before going home, w..would you like to read this next part together Sempai?” he looked at Saga with all the hope in his young heart clear in his sparkling jade eyes.
Masamune paid for his magazines and looked back at his kouhai with an arched brow. While he didn’t want to go home just yet, it was boring with just the cat there and he definitely didn’t want to run into his parents again and listen to them screaming at one another while trying to read, “Sure, why not…” he replied in that same monotone. Of course, the boy blinded him with the most breathtaking smile yet that made Masamune wonder seriously if he’d just made a huge mistake for his own eyesight, the kid really needed calm down or he’d never be able to keep up...not that he wanted to or anything, of course.
They left the bookstore and crossed the street to the nearly empty park, finding a bit of nature hidden away within the city. Swirls of sakura petals flew on the wind and ruffled both heads of hair as they looked around for a place to sit. Ritsu pointed shyly to a bench under a sakura tree that sat near a gurgling fountain that displayed a pair of swans in an artful display.  Neck arching gracefully as they passed one another, looking towards the other until their bills touched and formed a cliche heart. “I usually sit there sempai, is that fine with you?” Ritsu looked up to him with huge jewel toned eyes, sparkling in the afternoon light and gave the spring grass a run for its money.
Saga merely shrugged, taking off his jacket and draping it over his arm and walking ahead of Ritsu to look up at the blooming pink petals. Not taking notice of the young teen behind him, staring at him in awe. It was honestly the most breathtaking thing that Ritsu had ever seen. His beloved sempai, deep in contemplation against the backdrop of a sakura tree in full bloom. Stunned to silence as the breeze fluttered a legion of petals across Ritsu’s vision and picked up the tempo of his heart. His cheeks were burning so hot he was certain he’d burst into flames as his sempai turned to look at him and lift a corner of his mouth in a rare smile. Ritsu was sure he just died and went to Nirvana.
“Yeah, this works.” Masamune spoke in that subdued tone, turning to go and sit down because the younger teen looked like he was about to burst into tears for some reason and he wasn’t sure how to deal with that. Sitting on the bench and digging out his newest purchase he flipped it open and started to read. Enjoying the peace and quiet of the afternoon. Soon enough the quiet was broken as his kouhai asked a question.
“Um, sempai. They’re selling shaved ice over there. I’m going to get myself one, would you like to have one too?” he stuttered out nervously as it worried the edge of the paper bag that held his own magazine and bookmark. When Saga gave a soft nod of his head with a mutter of ‘lemon’ Ritsu took off to the cart to get his beloved a treat. He was on a date, this was a date. He was on a date with his sempai and he was floating around on cloud nine, “Two ices, one lemon and one melon please!” he clutched his package to his chest and beamed up at the vendor that couldn’t help but smile back at the adorable boy. Two large cups with over flowing shaved ice and flavoring with tiny wedges of the fruit it was flavored with added for garnish, Ritsu paid for it happily and scurried back to where his sempai was sitting in silence and enjoying the story. “Here you go Saga-sempai!” he held out the treat with a huge smile.
Lifting his tawny gaze from the story that he had already been fully engrossed in, he regarded the smiling guy and the lemon ice he held out to him in offering, “thanks.” He took the treat then returned his attention back down to the story. Hearing the soft creak of the bench as Oda sat down on the other side of the seat, sure to keep lots of space between them. Ritsu didn’t start reading right away, he was busy enjoying his shaved ice. He tucked his feet up on the bench and stared off towards the fountain. He loved this spot, so quiet and it filled him with a sense of peace. Or well it normally would were it not for the fact that his Sempai was sitting next to him and it was just so much, too much for his heart to handle. He cast a secretive side glance at Saga-sempai. He had his magazine laying in his lap and was enjoying his own ice. Ritsu couldn’t help the small shy smile that curved his lips as he flicked his gaze back over to the fountain.
Saga noticed the fidgety boy peeking at him but did his best to pretend he didn’t notice. It wasn’t hard to do since he was more than used to the guy sulking in the background and staring at him endlessly. Just what was he doing out here, spending time with a stalker of all things? Never mind that he was having more fun than he thought he would and was enjoying the cool spring afternoon and the soft gurgle of the fountain. The flutter of sakura petals made it almost seem magical and with that last thought he almost scoffed at himself. Just what the hell was the guy thinking, they were boy guys and surely he realized that nothing would come from this. But, why was he feeling this odd sense of companionship? The normally lonely feeling that suffused his being, missing in the presence of the younger male. He was brought out of his thoughts from a sudden question from the guy sitting next to him.
“Do you want to take turns reading the story Sempai?” his cheeks flushed red as he set his cup of melon flavored ice to the side, “I’ll go first!..” flashing Saga a large smile that made the green of his eyes dance. Saga just shrugged his shoulders noncommittally and Ritsu took that as a yes.
His kouhai started to read the latest installment of the short story by Usami Akihiko. He staggered and stumbled over the first few lines because of his nerves, but to Masamune’s shock, the boy seemed to snap into the tale and read in a soft soothing voice that lulled him as he continued to eat the treat that was given to him. He was able to close his eyes, picturing the scenes in his mindseye and appreciate the soft voice of his kouhai much to his surprise.
It wasn’t uncommon for Ritsu to get caught up in a book, this one seemed to have drawn him into the pages and unfurled into a story that told of loneliness and pain that he could sympathize with. He didn’t even realize that he had a slow tear tracking it’s way down his cheek as he got to a particularly emotional passage. Every now and then he would take a spoonful of his shaved ice to quench his dry throat and then continue on with the tale, forgetting that they were supposed to be taking turns since he’d become so absorbed.
Masamune stared in surprise at his kouhai, his voice was clear and concise, hell the words were pouring off of his lips like a poem and making the prose of sensei that much more impactful.  The passion in his young voice as he wove the talk of Usami to life  wrapped itself about him and made him feel all sorts of weird things. How was it that the stuttering mess of a boy could turn around and be so...so, hell he wasn’t sure what else to call it but enthralling. Ritsu didn’t even seem to notice that hours went by as he continued all the way to the end of the installment. Watching him swipe a hand under his eye to take away the proof of just how much the story had moved him and turned his big emerald eyes to him.
“Sorry, I got a little carried away.” he spoke shyly and blushed furiously under his sempai’s inspection. He hoped he didn’t mess the story up!
“I didn’t mind,” Saga returned in a soft voice and wondered at the strange thrum of his heart that kicked into gear when his kouhai had looked his way. Suddenly, he noticed the younger stiffening and looking around as if remembering where they were.
“Oh...oh no!” Noticing the orange glow of the setting sun that signalled that he’d been out much longer than he should have been. He shot up to his feet and started to pack his bag quickly and tossed the empty cup into the trash. “My mother is going to kill me!” he whined and seemed to be shaking as he flung his bag over his arm, “I had a wonderful time sempai, even if it was all just a coincidence it made me incredibly happy!”
Masamune watched as he kouhai turned on his heel and went tearing off in the direction of the subway, canting his head in confusion. Did he really live on the outskirts of the region of Tokyo where all the rich people lived? Well, he shouldn’t be surprised, he knew by the way the guy had acted and his naivety that he came from a well off family. But what was bothering him now, more than anything else, as he pushed himself to his feet and cleaned up the area of his own debris, was how much fun he’d had today with the spastic underclassman. Really, if anything it annoyed him that it left him feeling strangely light with a weird feeling fluttering about in his stomach and chest. Oda was really starting to piss him off for reasons that he just couldn’t understand and yet, somehow he wondered if they would be able to spend time together again soon. It was much better than sitting around bored at home or listening to his parents scream endlessly at one another. Ugh, he should just go home and stop thinking about the confusing feelings his kouhai was stirring within him. His mask of indifference fit over his features and hid the truth from view, even from himself. He didn’t even know he was slowly falling in love with that Oda, Ritsu.

Giovanni’s Room
Rating: G Relationships: ritshou Summary: Shou tries to go home, but it isn't as simple as he'd hoped. Crossposted to AO3: Giovanni’s Room
Why, you will go home and then you will find that home is not home anymore. Then you will really be in trouble.
- James Baldwin, "Giovanni's Room"
---
The minute the door to Shou’s childhood home swings shut behind him, he regrets ever coming back. The air is stale from being empty for days, and the pervasive silence makes the hairs on his arms stand straight up under his sleeves. His body is reacting like he’s afraid that something, or someone, might jump out from a shadowy corner and shank him, even though he knows no one is here, and that no one has been here since his father was shipped off to prison.
He shoves his hands deep into the pockets of his hoodie and heads for the stairs that lead up to the second floor. His footfalls are too loud on the wooden steps, and they echo through the huge, empty house like gunshots despite his best attempts to be quiet. He feels like an intruder in his own house, forced to sneak around to avoid making too much noise even though he knows there isn’t anyone around to interrupt him.
Letting out a sigh, Shou reaches the top of the stairs and turns to the door of his childhood bedroom. He hasn’t slept here in weeks, in between the attack on Seasoning City and all the bullshit that came after, and it shows. He runs his hand over the empty surface of his desk and it comes back gray with dust. He scowls and wipes the offending grime off on his jeans.
The room is just as he’d left it, but it doesn’t feel like coming home. It feels like the room belongs to someone else, now, like he’s intruding. He shifts his grip on his backpack and hikes the strap up higher on his shoulder.
He’s filled with the sudden, overwhelming feeling that he should never have returned, and it bears down on his shoulders like a tangible weight. The house is his; there are photos of himself on the hallway walls and on the shelf above the fireplace, and his books and childhood journals are sitting on the shelf just to his left. He has happy memories of this place, still, despite all the shit he’d gone through with his family, but they’re not enough to banish the thick feeling of disgust that creeps up his throat and turns his stomach. Without a second thought, he turns on his heel and walks back out the door from whence he’d come.
It’s raining out, now. It’d been drizzling when Shou had been dropped off here mere minutes before, but the storm is already in full swing. It doesn’t take long for the rainwater to soak clear through his hoodie and onto the skin beneath, slicking his hair down to his scalp and making his clothing feel heavy on his body. He walks and walks and doesn’t stop until he realizes that he’s walking right up to a wrought-iron gate at the front of a house that’s familiar to him, because he’d burned it down himself not a week earlier.
He stops, feeling stupidly surprised. He’s only seen Ritsu once since the siege of Seasoning, and it had just been to double-check that Higashio had put the house back together properly three days after. He hadn’t intended to walk here, at least not intentionally.
He looks up at where he knows Ritsu’s window is. The light is on, and every other window is dark.
Against his better judgement, he jumps the fence and makes his way around to the side of the house, then crouches down and leaps up to the second-floor balcony outside Ritsu’s window with just a little bit of psychic assistance, and quickly throws up a barrier of invisibility around himself.
He’s running partially on autopilot, but the rational part of his brain stops him just shy of tapping on the glass to Ritsu’s window. The blinds are drawn, so he can’t see what’s happening inside, but what he does know is that normal people don’t show up at the houses of their maybe-kinda-friends unannounced in the middle of the night, soaking wet and looking for… something? He hasn’t figured that part out yet.
He spends a good twenty seconds with his invisible hand held out in front of him, poised to rap his knuckles against the glass, before he lets it fall to his side with a frustrated sigh. What am I even doing here? he wonders, stuffing his hand back into his pocket and turning abruptly on his heel. It’s childish of him to try to seek reassurance from someone other than himself, someone he can only say he knows because he’d practically blackmailed him into helping him. Ritsu’s a good kid. A normal kid. He deserves better than to be saddled with more emotional baggage than he’s surely already acquired from that day.
The window slides open, and Shou freezes, thanking his lucky stars that he’s still invisible. He glances over his shoulder and sees Ritsu staring out from behind his curtains, a thoughtful frown on his face. Shou keeps as still as he can and hardly dares to breathe, feeling a twinge of embarrassment crawl up his spine.
Ritsu looks left and right, squinting briefly as if it’ll help him see better through the rain that still pours down insistently from above, then takes a step back from leaning out the window and crosses his arms. “You can come out, Suzuki, I know you’re there,” he calls, and Shou feels his heart leap out of his chest and into his throat.
Busted. Shou knows he can easily jet up into the sky without Ritsu knowing, cloak his aura so thoroughly and act so carefully that his shoes won’t even scrape against the concrete with his departure. Ritsu can be left wondering if it’d just been his imagination, whatever he’d heard or seen that had tipped him off to his presence. He doesn’t do that, though. Instead, he just takes a breath to calm himself and lets go of his barrier, letting it dissipate into nothingness around him. In its place, he puts up a wall to keep the rain from falling on him any more, and turns to flash Ritsu the cheekiest grin he can muster. “You got me,” he admits, attempting to act casual despite the surely awkward situation. “I thought I was being pretty sneaky, too.”
Ritsu’s gaze snaps to him as soon as he shows himself, and he raises a brow in a rather unimpressed manner. “I could sense you coming from the front gate. You weren’t exactly being discreet,” he replies, his gaze drilling into Shou as though to cut straight through him with his eyes alone. He takes a moment to size Shou up, eyes flicking down and back up against quickly. “Why are you all wet?”
Shou flinches internally, shifting his weight from one leg to the other as a way to discreetly vent some of his restlessness. “Uh, the rain?” he replies, gesturing with one hand to the storm still rolling all around them.
Ritsu’s frown deepens at this, but it’s not a look of disappointment. Instead, Ritsu looks almost worried, the same way he’d been worried for his parents after Shou had first shown up to his house. It’s a milder instance of it, but it does show. “Sure,” he agrees half-heartedly. “Well, you might as well come in, then. Get out of the rain, you know?” He turns to head back into his room, beckoning for Shou to follow with one hand.
Shou doesn’t know what he’d expected to accomplish by coming to Ritsu’s house in the middle of the night, but the sudden display of trust catches him off-guard all the same. Still, he doesn’t hesitate to oblige, dripping clothes and all.
Shou’s been to Ritsu’s house a handful of times now, between coming to pick up Ritsu to take down Claw and making sure he reconstruction of the house was going well, but this is the first time he’s actually set foot in Ritsu’s living space. It’s, unsurprisingly, meticulously organized, not a book out of place or a dirty piece of laundry on the floor. The only things that look out of place are the tennis shoes abandoned by the bed and the backpack, unzipped and tipped over onto the ground at the side of Ritsu’s desk. He pauses just inside the window, the feeling of intruding creeping up on him again. He shouldn’t be here.
“Here,” Ritsu calls, and it pulls Shou out of his thoughts long enough to notice the towel floating in his direction before it hits him right in his face. He takes it in his hands and unfolds it, momentarily perplexed before he remembers just how soaked he is. He’s cold, too, chilled down to his bones by rainwater and carelessness. Ritsu has his back turned, staring into his closet while he points one finger in Shou’s direction. “You’ll get sick if you don’t dry off,” he adds, a little tendril of teal and magenta aura retreating back into his outstretched hand.
Shou drapes the towel over his head and back. “Thanks,” he mumbles, self-consciously rubbing the wetness from his hair with the fluffy, oversized towel.
Ritsu doesn’t reply to him right away, pushing the closet door shut before he turns to face Shou at last. “Why didn’t you put up a barrier?” he asks, and to Shou’s surprise, he doesn’t look angry or even annoyed, just concerned and a little curious. Of course, it’s almost impossible to know for sure with Ritsu, who could easily be hiding his judgements beneath everything Shou’s able to see.
“The rain wasn’t that bad when I left the house. Didn’t think it would be necessary, y’know? I put one up when it really started coming down hard,” he lies, letting the towel fall into his face a bit to hide his expression from Ritsu’s scrutiny.
Ritsu hums, and the sound comes across as thoroughly unconvinced. For all of Shou’s natural talent as an esper, he’s not a good enough liar to make it past Ritsu’s defenses, it seems. “Okay,” he responds, choosing to accept Shou’s answer for now, and perches himself on the edge of his bed where he can easily speak to Shou. “Well then, what brings you here? I didn’t think you’d come back, to be honest.”
Shou falls quiet, struggling to come up with an excuse that won’t sound absolutely made up on the spot, but his brain has short-circuited in the face of Ritsu’s question. Still, he finds himself wanting to tell Ritsu the truth, if only to prove that there’s someone in the world he can still rely on. Ritsu had still welcomed him in despite their history together, a history that included Shou beating him unconscious just to test him and burning down his house to force his hand in an effort to find someone who could help him. He hadn’t exactly made the best first impression, or second impression, or even third, but Ritsu’s still willing to give him a second chance. “My house was too quiet,” he blurts before he can tell himself not too, even though he feels the immediate sense of embarrassment fall over him at the revelation. He can feel his face warming, and he breaks eye contact with Ritsu to look over at his bookcase, as though the books are at all interesting to him.
Ritsu regards him for a moment longer before his seriousness dissolves a little and a smile comes to his face. “I see,” he murmurs, nodding his head in understanding. “In that case, you’re welcome to hang out here.”
Shou’s head snaps back to meet Ritsu’s gaze, blinking in surprise. “Are you sure?”
And Ritsu simply shrugs, already rifling through his closet for extra blankets and spare clothes and forming a pile on the floor by his bed. “I don’t see why not. Just don’t tell my mom,” he replies breezily.
Shou chokes on a snort of laughter, Ritsu’s joke coming across funnier than he’d likely intended, but it does the trick. He’s possibly a little overwhelmed and definitely a lot grateful, so he lets himself relax a little, his stiff shoulders falling just a bit. “Thank you.”

I haven’t written fic in years, but mp100 and its fandom have inspired me to pick it back up. This was inspired by a post by @mikuhats and I hope you all enjoy!!
——————————————————————————
Looking back, Shou realizes he only had himself to blame, but he couldn’t have expected the outcome of his actions. Not in a million years.
He was, after all, the one who had broken the silence and occasional clicking of buttons. It was too quiet, and although he knew Ritsu valued the peacefulness if he didn’t speak he was probably going to explode.
“Hey Ritsu, I got a proposition for ya.”
The boy in question kept his eyes on screen, the only hint that he had even heard the redhead was the small hum of acknowledgement he made.
“Five races in Mario Kart. Whoever wins gets to draw whatever they want on the loser’s face.”
Not his best plan, but the thought of drawing something hilarious (and probably inappropriate) on the Golden Boy of Salt Middle School amused him more than he cared to admit. He practically vibrated in his spot on the floor, though this wasn’t out of the ordinary considering he could barely sit still in the first place.
However, he clearly wasn’t the only one scheming, as the illuminated screen let him see the corner of Ritsu’s mouth turn up ever so slightly.
“You’re on.”
They choose their characters (Shou chooses Toad, Ritsu picks Luigi) and their karts (something both boys are very serious about, maximizing their potential to work with their characters’ strengths). Shou grins, hunching forward towards the television. He’s ready to kick Ritsu’s ass and have bragging rights for at least the next week, as well as maybe have a photo for him to snicker at whenever he needed it.
Then the races start, and Ritsu annihilates him. Absolutely destroys him. With every green shell that hits Shou at the worst moment, every boost that Ritsu somehow manages to get perfectly, and every time the redhead’s kart flies off the track, Shou’s dreams of embarrassing Ritsu with his epic racing skills fly further and further away from him. He’s astonished really, Mario Kart is HIS game, and while he’s struggling Ritsu still has that calm smirk that Shou can’t wipe off his face despite all his efforts.
At the end, his pride is so battered that he almost forgets his fate, until Ritsu grins triumphantly and turns toward him.
“Alright,” he turns off the game, leaving the home screen as the only light in the room. “Where’s my marker?”
Shit shit shit shit shit and He’s going to draw a dick or something like that and I’m gonna look like an idiot were the two most prominent alarm bells clanging in his head. But he’s not gonna back out, he’s no coward and he’ll take his punishment like a man.
Ritsu stood, silently walking towards his desk as to not wake his parents. Rifling through his drawers, he picks up a brown marker, not as noticeable as black would be, but good enough.
He knelt back down in front of his friend, marker uncapped, twirling it between his fingers.
“What are you gonna draw?”
Ritsu rolled his eyes, flicking Shou on the forehead. “Like I’d tell you. Now close your eyes.”
Although this was normally when Shou would make a snarky comment or a half-hearted protest, this time he did it without hesitation. Bright blue eyes closed, leaving Ritsu free reign to unleash whatever chaos his artistic side was feeling that moment, which was truthfully nothing. He had no clue what he wanted to draw on Shou’s face, because he wasn’t going to do something basic like draw dicks, there was way too much potential to waste it on something like that.
He inspected his canvas, trying to gain some idea of what to do. Then he spotted them. Shou’s freckles.
The young boy has always been fascinated by them, if he was honest. Shou’s heritage made him look completely different than most people in Seasoning City, a physical representation of his out-of-the-box and fiery personality.
He was struck with an idea, and while it wasn’t anything embarrassing or funny, he was gonna have a good time doing it. Leaning in and ignoring the flip flop of his stomach, he pressed the tip of the marker to a freckle on Shou’s left cheek, connecting it to others around, even some on the side of his nose.
Normally, Shou’s mind was running at around 60 miles an hour, chasing and capturing thoughts while some slipped through his fingertips like sand. This time though, it was moving double time, speeding and racing, revolving around one thing.
Ritsu was so close. He can practically feel the boy’s breath on his face. It’s the only thing he could think about, and his mind took the possibilities and made them into a one hundred meter sprint.
He couldn’t stand it, the outside world was so quiet while his mind was buzzing and panicky and loud-
His thoughts, once floating and soaring, plummeted to the ground from the gravity of a hand on his cheek. His eyes snapped open.
“Dude wha-“
“I couldn’t control the marker calm down,” Ritsu deadpanned, oblivious to the other’s crisis due to trying to mask his own. “Now close your eyes, you staring at me while I’m drawing is weird as hell.”
Shou nodded dumbly, for the first time in his life he was completely speechless. His face was rapidly heating to levels he had only felt when his curiosity had led him to touching a candle’s flame when he was young. His heart was thumping so loudly that he was positive Ritsu could hear it and his mind was screaming and Ritsu’s hand was so warm.
He tried to focus on anything other than that stupid hand. The coolness of the floor underneath him, the hushed ticking of the clock in the hallway, the reminder that it’s 1:53 in the morning and he’s never felt more awake in his life, the pins and needles feeling in his legs from kneeling for so long. But nothing worked, because as soon as Ritsu did anything his thoughts focused on him like a moth to light.
Ritsu had moved on from his friend’s cheeks to his nose to just idly doodling on forehead, though his points of reference were quickly disappearing due to Shou’s face and hair becoming the same color. But it didn’t matter, he was almost done, and he didn’t know why that thought disappointed him. As he finished the final line, he tilted his work from side to side, inspecting his art.
It was cute. He’s cute, his inner voice corrected.
“Okay, I’m done.” It came out a whisper, as if he was too nervous to be any louder.
One eye cracked open, then another, and as soon as he saw blue, his breath trapped itself in his throat. Because he realized how close he truly was, inches away from the other’s face, and his cheeks began to burn.
For a moment, neither spoke or move, daring the other to do something. The challenge hung in the air, mingling with the nervousness and excitement that had been there previously.
As if bored of their game, the earth decided to continue its rotation. The clock sounded. It was 2 am, and the trance was broken.
Both boys backed away from each other. The tension was palpable.
“So, uh,” Shou started, very interested in his socked feet. “I guess I need to see what you drew. Hopefully something funny or cool, like a creeper.”
He chuckled in an attempt to dispel some of the awkwardness that permeated the room, and he silently thanked Ritsu for playing along.
“Yeah. It’s nothing crazy but it’s better than dicks.” The black haired boy shrugged, trying to maintain his calm facade when really his stomach was turning cartwheels.
Shou headed towards the bathroom, with Ritsu a few steps behind, making sure to avoid waking anyone up.
As soon as he flicked the light switch, the brightness smacked him in the face with an unforgiving relentlessness, and he groaned. He took a moment, blinking rapidly in order for his eyes to readjust to the stark change.
Once he could finally stand to open his eyes, he took in his reflection. There were no dicks, no creepers, and no words. He leaned in closer, inspecting.
His freckles were connected by brown lines to form various little shapes. Constellations. The Big Dipper on his left cheek, the Little beyond that, going up the side of his nose. Cancer dipped from his forehead to a spot above his eyebrow, and Sagittarius stretched from his right cheek to his ear to above his lip. So many constellations littered his skin, and the spaces not connected by brown were covered with planets, as if Ritsu was determined to leave no part of his face untouched. He was transformed into a miniature universe with something as simple as a marker.
He pulled and tugged at his skin, obsessively checking so he doesn’t miss a single drawing Ritsu had made. Ritsu observed him from the door frame, bouncing from one leg to another and twiddling his thumbs to suppress his nerves.
Ritsu waited. And waited. The seconds seemed to pass like molasses, idly dripping with no intent on gaining speed. Finally, it was too much. He coughed awkwardly, which brought the redhead back to earth.
“What do you think?” His voice cracked on the last word, buzzing with anxiousness.
The redhead looked at him through the mirror, grinning, cheeks a pretty shade of rosy pink.
“‘S cute Ritsu. Didn’t realize my freckles were such an inspiration.” His teasing was lighthearted, poking his cheek.
Ritsu scoffed, crossing his arms. “Well I figured it would be more fun than just writing ‘Fornite sucks’ or something like that.” His aloof attitude was betrayed by his refusal to look Shou in the eye and a blush that was overtaking his face and ears.
A laugh rang out, genuine and pure and happy. Shou was grasping the counter, shoulders shaking. It was contagious, and just like a lot of his actions, his best friend couldn’t resist joining him.
There they stood until their laughs turned to giggles and faded away. Their faces were alight, having laughed more in that moment than either have in a long time.
“We should probably go to bed. It’s late,” Ritsu pointed out. Shou nodded, turning back to his reflection, looking at his galaxy.
“I wanna take a picture of it. It’s really cool,” Shou reached into his pocket, gesturing for Ritsu to get closer.
Opening up his camera, the two grinned for a picture, their cheeks pressed together and Ritsu’s right hand brought up in a peace sign, with Shou’s arm thrown around his shouldner. After taking a few, Shou seemed satisfied, lowering his phone and inspecting the pictures.
Ritsu saw this as a cue to start walking back to his room, reaching to open the bathroom door.
“Wait!” Shou grabbed his sleeve, stopping him. They both looked down his grip, Shou dropping his hand quickly and muttering an apology.
“I want to take another picture. None of them turned out quite right,” his voice was uncharacteristically small, and he was stumbling over his words.
Ritsu raised an eyebrow at the sudden change of mood, but obliged. They returned to their previous pose, Shou opening his phone camera once more.
Shou gulped, mentally preparing himself for what he was going to do next. As he continued taking photos, he stood on his tiptoes (Ritsu still had a good two inches on him, a fact he never lets Shou forget) and pressed his lips to his friend’s cheek. He felt the other boy stiffen, and he quickly pulled away.
“Thanks for the pictures Ritsu I’m gonna go to bed now sorry if I made things weird just don’t mention it haha,” Shou made a quick exit, willing himself not to kick a wall or scream because he was positive he had messed it up and his first real friend had fallen through.
A calloused hand grabbed his own, and now the tables had turned. He stared down at their clasped hands, then back up at Ritsu, and the fact that Ritsu had yet to speak was killing him inside.
Ritsu silently inched closer, not taking his eyes off Shou, clearly focused.
“Dude please don’t beat me up I’m sorry,” Shou stammered, his eyes squeezed shut.
He was prepared for anything really: yelling, shoving, silent animosity, and he was suddenly reminded of his time at Claw in the worst way possible. What he wasn’t prepared for, however, was the soft pressure on his forehead.
For the second time that night, his eyes shot open to stare at the esper. He was in complete disbelief.
“If you wanted a kiss, you could’ve asked,” Ritsu muttered, embarrassed but still sporting a small smile.
The redhead’s jaw opened and closed, trying to form words but only succeeding in staring. He simply nodded, as his vocal cords were obviously betraying him.
“Let’s go to bed. I’m tired,” Ritsu yawned, tugging their intertwined hands and leading them down the hall. And through his embarrassment and happiness, Shou realized that, as corny as it sounded, their fingers slotted together perfectly.
As they climbed into Ritsu’s bed on opposite sides, allowing sleep to wash over them, Shou realized that this all stemmed from his stupid challenge. He reached up, idly tracing the stars that dotted his face.
Something had changed between the two of them, something they could talk about when the sun was shining. But for right now, each other’s company was enough.
And if they woke up with their fingers intertwined and their bodies much closer than before, they didn’t have to mention it.

Hello friends, I not only translated from Spanish my MP100/GO crossover, I expanded it a bit
The one where Mob is the Antichrist (WIP)
As it happens with all important projects, when the moment to set the apocalypse into motion arrived, the infernal powers appointed (or may be, sentenced) a committee to oversee all details, and as it happens with all committees, no one ever agreed on anything and only one person (or in this case, being) did all the work[1].
In another world, the unfortunate sap in charge of the allocation of a human family for the Adversary, Destroyer of Kings, Angel of the Bottomless Pit, Great Beast that is called Dragon, Prince of This World, Father of Lies, Spawn of Satan and Lord of Darkness, chose the family of the American Cultural Attaché in the United Kingdom as the best suited for the task, and then devised an ingenious plan (for a demon) where all the actual planning for the interchange of babies was delegated to other even more unfortunate infernal agents.
In this world, however, the outcome of the committee representative’s game of eeny, meeny, miny, moe was different, so the chosen family was that of the daughter of a Japanese home appliances tycoon, and then the committee’s representative forgot to actually delegate the planning until the last moment. This is why the demon Crowley received the following orders alongside a basket with a perfectly average looking, dark haired male baby:
“Corrupt a human so they can be persuaded to steal a child from his mother’s arms, to be unknowingly replaced by our Lord’s son.”
And,
“DO NOT MESS IT UP, CROWLEY.”
Crowley offered ₤100[2] to a nurse he found smoking in the parking lot to do the deed.
And well, many years later Crowley will wash his hands over the whole affair, arguing that his plan would have worked if that same day, at that same hospital, at the other end of the same hall where Hoshino Nadeshiko-san (full-time heiress) was in labor, Kageyama Akane-san (programmer, alongside her husband at the UK for work) was not in the same situation. Or maybe it would have worked if this nurse were not terribly racist, on top of unscrupulous, and didn’t think that “all Chinese people look the same”[3].
***
Eventually, the Kageyama family (now including their much-loved Shigeo) had to return to Japan once their contracts and visas expire. In the meanwhile, the young Hoshino Asahi-kun grew a bit neglected by his parents, but with the constant attention and counsel of his kendo instructor[4] and the housekeeper.
***
Asahi-kun’s 15th birthday comes but no hellhound does.
Crowley and Aziraphale scramble to find out what happened to the Antichrist, and they first search for the nurse who is now in prison[5] and doesn’t know anything of use, then the hospital, where they pick up a paper trail[6] that leads them to Japan.
“Well,” says the demon to the angel. “On the bright side, you do like sushi.”
***
Kageyama Shigeo is a very normal baby. Average size, average weight, reaches the developmental milestones at the expected ages. His parents love him very much and if Shige-chan has an habit of always managing get things he shouldn’t into his hands, they don’t think too much about it and gently correct him, just as they do when he tries to lick the neighbour’s cat or pulls from mommy’s hair.
When things start to float a bit, they take it on stride, because, well, it is not really problem, it is only small things and not very high, and Akane is pregnant again.
It does take them by surprise when Ritsu-chan keeps dropping his pacifier or a preferred toy and they have to keep picking it up for him, which immediately raises a concern about how many things that touched the floor ended up on Shige-chan’s mouth, and relief that they don’t have to worry about that with Ritsu-chan[7].
As Shige grows, so do his powers, and his family also grows accustomed to them. Soon, every time he cries –which is not often– the furniture will rattle, the rain will not touch him and he would make little and not so little animals swim through the air, or the bath water would float in shapes, but is always to entertain Ritsu or their friend Tsubomi. Sometimes the cutlery will bend, or Shige would accidentally make everything in the house hover 2cm over the floor in his sleep, but he is a good kid and it’s not like he does it intentionally.
Then, after an incident where Ritsu returns unharmed but covered in blood and Shige in in tears, and they don’t tell no matter how much Akane and Hisao ask their children what happened, Shige stops using his powers deliberately while the accidents increase, but they can’t do anything about it, because who do you ask about your child ESP problems?
***
Later, people will debate if the well-timed appearance of Reigen Arataka into Shigeo’s life was in fact as “godsend” as the Kageyamas thought the day their child returned home from school happier and more at ease that they had seen him in months.
The fact that the man would also act as a quick response free babysitter and chaperon also helped to improve their opinion of him[8].
***
Kageyama Shigeo is a very unremarkable boy, but he tends to have a tangible effect in the people who cross his path, and he achieves this despite his powers and no thanks to them, mostly.
Had this been a different world, his powers would have not been obvious, but would have arranged the world around him to his liking. In this one, they never get him what he wants and he has to figure that one all on his own[9].
***
A list of times the world could have ended ahead of schedule:
After the incident when Shigeo lost control of his powers for the first time and believed, for a second, before he heard him cry, that Ritsu was dead.
All the times Dimple tried and failed to convince Shigeo to help him become a god[10].
The time a technician’s shoelace got caught in his desk chair’s wheel, making him trip and smash his keyboard, almost starting up a chain of events that would have resulted in a Chinese Navy ship colliding with an American one, had he not also accidentally disconnected the ethernet connection of his terminal in the process.
The time Mogami almost managed to make Shigeo lose his faith in humanity.
The time Dimple did achieve godhood thanks to Shigeo’s powers, before Shigeo’s powers decided they could do give it a try on their own and Dimple realised his mistake.
That one incident by the end of Shigeo’s second year at middle school, which is not discussed in public by people in the known, for plausible deniability, you understand. Even thought it was not his fault, he is very sorry and very sure it won’t happen again and he helped put everything together again, and he has been reassured that no one died, miraculously[10].
But the important bit is that it didn’t happen.
*** For a being that some of the time is a snake, Crowley has way too much leg to fit into a tourist class plane seat, and he has time to complain about it at length during the 12 hours flight.
You see, due to the intrinsic nature of airlines, miracling two last-minute first-class plane tickets, does not mean that those two first-class seats actually exist in that flight.
The fact that Crowley was responsible for making flying a terribly uncomfortable ordeal for the masses, was an irony lost on him.
So was the fact that he was directly contributing to the flight attendant’s path to sainthood, attained by her infinite patience.
________________________
[1]Except that, in fact, none of them did anything.
[2] The money was fake, but the nurse deserved it.
[3] Yeah, neither I know what Crowley was expecting to happen.
[4] If he’d had the time to pay attention to these things, Hoshino Katashi-san (CEO of his father-in-law’s company and absent but demanding parent) would had made an issue out of the kendo instructor being British. Fortunately, not only he never asked who was teaching his son, but the instructor wasn’t even really British in the first place, nor Japanese as Hoshino-san would preferred, nor anything, simply because the instructor wasn’t born in any country, or region, or geographic zone, as he had been brought into existence by Divine Will before the Creation, and he has been issued the physical form he inhabited after a long and tedious bureaucratic process, and he very much prefers to never have to go through it again, thank you.
[5]After noticing the money she had been paid with was fake, the nurse took a very pragmatic decision by taking the extra baby she found herself with to an adoption agency for rich people, where she received a quite large “fee”. This inspired her to a change in careers and became a full time “recruiter” for the agency, until it was closed under investigations for human trafficking.
[6]Not literally. The paper archive was burnt in a freak accident which was in no way caused by infernal agents with no knowledge about electronic databases.
[7]What they don’t know is that, soon enough, Shige-chan starts picking up things for his brother too when they are not looking. Maybe this is the reason why the brothers built extraordinarily strong immune systems and rarely get sick, maybe it is the other way around. I’m betting in the later.
[8]So did the discreet background check they did(a) on Reigen to make sure nothing untoward would happen. It also revealed that the man had his driving licence and an updated certification in first aid, making him qualified enough to take up child-care professionally.
[8.a] A leftover form their youth, before they decided to use their skills in a more legitimate manner as “cybersecurity”.
[9]With the support of loving family and friends, not that it lessens his effort in any way, but it is nice to mention it and Shigeo likes be reminded of it, too.
[10]But not a god as in God, more like a god as in the inaccurate translation of kami in Shintoism. Unbeknownst, back then, to Dimple, had he succeeded in making a god out of Shigeo, the results could had been less like the Emperor (like he envisioned) and closer (but not quite) to the actual Almighty.
[11]This is still being debated by the people in the known.

Post-Mob Psycho 100 Headcanons ((SPOILER WARNING))
- Adult Mob would be a P.E Teacher. My reasons for this is because after seeing how Mob became the vice president of the Body Improvement Club at the end of the manga, he would want to continue to guide and inspire others who may be just like him. (I like to think Reigen played a big role in that) Also he wouldn’t need to make strong use of his psychic abilities (aside from maybe helping to clear up after the students have left) which fits because Mob would rather live without having to rely on his abilities constantly or showing them off.
- Mob choose’s not to work for Reigen because its a place he goes to pretty much wind down and enjoy the company of his friends when taking a break from work. He makes a mention of this in the manga chapter 92.3:
Tumblr media
Don’t worry Reigen takes it well
- However i do like to believe he still occasionally helps out with a job because he does enjoy helping Reigen out every now and then. Not as a paid employer but more like volunteer work. (Reigen still pays him by buying him takoyaki or ramen after though)
- I feel Mob will always be an introvert at heart so some days make him more emotionally exhausted than others. Occasionally after a particularly long and tiring day Mob will walk in the office without saying a word and crash on the sofa to rest for a bit til Ritsu comes to pick him up or something. Reigen and Serizawa get accustomed to it pretty quick and one of them will throw a blanket over him without a second glance while still taking a phone call.
- Reigen will still occasionally call Mob for assistance when Mob is in the middle of teaching much to his annoyance.
- As for Ritsu - i headcanon as an adult he would start up his own underground psychic business (Probably with Shou too) but unlike Reigen, his would tackle the more darker side of the supernatural. Such as dealing with bad espers, rogue ghosts. taking down secret evil organisations etc. (With the occasional case of regular exorcism requests)
Ritsu is obviously much more content at using his psychic powers on a daily basis for everyday life unlike Mob who’d rather use them only when really necessary. Ritsu is not afraid of hiding his powers nor fighting so i think it would suit him. Shou would tag along because of course he would. He’s a lot like Ritsu afterall. Also Shou also has experience with the ins and outs of evil organisations as well having been part of one before so he would be great at cracking their weaknesses.
- Ritsu and Reigen also become mostly friendly business rivals too. They get along partly because of Mobs influence.
- Reigen and Dimple become house-mates. No real big reason for this just because its an idea i’ve seen floating around the fandom and i love it so i’m adding it here. ((Though i do like to think Dimple was at first gently encouraged by Mob to look out for Reigen when he’s not around but Dimple ended up sticking around semi-permanently))
- For Teru i’ll admit i’m not fully sure but for now i like to think he’d also become a P.E Teacher at his old school - because he still see’s himself as Mob’s rival and their classes would compete during school vs school sports events. (Mobs pretty chill about it though - Teru’s the one with most the competition)
