This was too long to post individually so. Here are my thoughts about the @SkeletonCavernAnon

to the anon that did that whole Skeleton Cavern post. Everything stated is true. I don’t know who that  “They” they’re referring to, but I have a pretty vague idea who that might be. 

1. Yes they talked shit about other users lmao [i admit i’m also guilty of this while being a mod at the time] Some were [the ones we talk about], actual assholes towards literally everyone in the server but the ones that I felt didn’t deserve it were “lower rank” mods, other users in general that somehow ticks some mod off bc they said something minor and just anyone else really. There were some fair criticisms but it rubs me the wrong way at times when they blatantly insult them or just give us unnecessary private information about them. 

2. causing a dramatic scene about a situation like that sounds like em. Though I don’t think I was present at the time of that specific incident.

3.Psy is regarded as the hellhound for good reason. He was also like that even with other mods, though I might say not as as. It’s hard to have a normal conversation with him unless with others included, but I do have one or two good moments with him. His words can and is harsh, and i feel bad for people who are sensitive to how he phrases things or afraid of how intimidating his lashing outs were. Especially when you put in the fact most people there were minors.

4.No comment on Avec, She has always been like that. As mod said about an ask regarding her behavior, she enables Zen/Bones’s actions a lot.

5.Ray was chill for the most part; sometimes he may be fussy but he was aight. I know there was a lot of conflict between them and another mod almost weekly. As anon said they were an amazing coder and did some of the bots in the server. I feel like it should’ve been handled differently. But even so there’s an inner hierarchy even in the mod chat (or at least it felt like that) preventing others to voice out reason (or should i say attempt at defending others). yes it’s hell, yes there were too many channels and subsequently blame the users in the server whenever “Too much shit happens/piles up”.

6.I can relate to the last point. I was also a teen when they selected me as mod; It’s 1000 things at once, and even so some of the members had irl things to do [I was dealing with too much irl studies going on], but the server demanded almost 24/7 surveillance, which burned us out at times. I want to say that’s why there’s so many upper mod roles [titles like “medic” or “sentry” if im not mistaken] so they don’t have to monitor everything at once. Looking back, it’s astonishing that almost all the mods [regardless of rank] were minors seemingly being handed and getting themselves into this role to be responsible of, and asking us to keep eyes on the server at ALL TIMES.

I cannot apologize on behalf of the mod team. I just feel distraught I couldn’t do much at the time due to fear, and had been a part of those shit talking sessions. And yes I admit I didn’t really have a vital role as a mod during my time as one. But among all the endless discourse I wake up to every day as one, the days I see other users being lashed out for the most pettiest things, i’m glad the server is deleted. And I’m sorry to those that have to deal with shit that had happened to them in that server even years till today; and i’m glad this account exist to maybe help those people cope and vent out their frustrations.

came across this korean mystery vn and i knew i had to get it bc someone commented that it had a similar feel to danganronpa/zero escape O: seems like i have a type

i usually don’t prefer to get digital copies of games but there was really no choice... i heard the physical copy is sold out in korea and resales are going for 200 USD ain’t nobody got money for that

i don’t think anyone i know is gonna purchase this game and play for themselves and i can’t share the game either bc it’s a digital copy sooo i’m gonna write a review~ please enjoy!!

basically the plot goes as such: the survival reality tv show Buried Stars was about to commence the finals of its current season with the remaining five contestants when the building suddenly collapses. most of the audience and staff members were safely evacuated except for seven ppl (the five contestants and two staff members) who are trapped in the wreckage with just their smartwatches that connects them to the outside world via calls (problematic bc they can only call a restricted number of ppl and the signal inside is shit) and phater (bootleg twitter). after trying to make some calls, everyone was then told that the rescue team would take around six hours to break into the collapsed building to get them out.

ok so they just have to wait it out... in an unstable building that can come down at any moment. cool.

then!!! they find the producer’s dead body, seemingly a victim to the falling debris!! they’re down to six survivors now.

despite the circumstances, voting is still ongoing and some rando on phater claims that the contestant in the last place will die as if the atmosphere wasn’t bad enough.

this is your smartwatch interface!! most of the functions are pretty useless with regards to the actual gameplay but it’s just fun to play around with them i guess

for e.g. you can change the background and ringtone but they don’t affect anything

there’s this feature that keeps track of changes that occur when you pick certain conversation topics during communication rounds and it’s really useful for replays!! too bad it doesn’t keep track of sanity changes in mc

this is the mc!! even though he looks like he would be a tsundere punk he’s actually very soft?? kinda like saihara but with a bit more spine

i was expecting there to be a lot of mysteries but given the circumstances i guess it makes sense to not have that many... there’s no murder mystery if it happened in an accident site and looked like an accident you see

a lot of conversation topics focus on the character’s backstory and stuff so you get to learn more about the characters while waiting for rescue (one of the goals of this game is actually to collect characters’ profiles!)

bonding through a shared traumatic experience sounds reasonable

did i mention that the cutscenes are fully voiced (either in korean or japanese depending on your preference)?? i played it in korean for my first gameplay for ~Optimal Experience~ but i switched to japanese in subsequent plays bc i wanted to be able to understand what the characters were saying without reading the text

the only thing that throws me off is that characters are given japanese names in the japanese dub but the in-game text still uses their korean names??? why

my boi gyu-hyuk is voiced by takuya eguchi and hyesung is voiced by shimono hiro (i actually doubted my ears at first bc hyesung sounds angry 24/7 and i only know shimono’s derpy zenitsu and troll ouma voices sweats;;) wOW 👍👍👍

the first ending is the same for everyone even if you picked the best options

they call it a “normal end” but tbh it’s a bad end bc everyone dies and nothing is resolved

after you clear the game for the first time you will get to replay from the start but your options will change so you can proceed towards other routes!! yay

oh yeah in case anyone is wondering this game is rated T and bodies are shown in the form of a silhouette with non-explicit close-ups during investigation so if you can’t handle graphic stuff it’s not too bad

there’s a horror route that you can enter by using the “laboratory” conversation topic on everyone and expressing how much it creeps you out

and the entire game shifts in genre to actual horror (like with paranormal activities)

IT WAS REALLY SCARY AND THERE WERE HANDS EVERYWHERE AND EVERYONE WAS ACTING WEIRD ASLJELKASJ i had my eyes closed half the time and i regret playing on my monitor

i didn’t take many screenshots bc as i mentioned my eyes were not looking at the screen for most part but i hope that you can kinda understand where i’m coming from with these two screenshots

the game is actually split into two major routes (A and B) which differ in who gets saved and who dies

you can only start on the B route after you get the true ending which is in the A route

unfortunately there is no route where everyone (even if you exclude the producer bc she dies before do-yoon regains consciousness at the start of the game) survives TT

if hyesung and seil survive then gyu-hyuk kills himself and leaves a note but do-yoon tears it up so we don’t know what he wrote

overall a solid mystery vn with beautiful graphics and enough routes to keep you occupied for many hours!! i highly recommend following a walkthrough bc it’s not an easy game if you want to collect all the possible endings and achievements

cuz there are minor changes to the epilogue depending on how close you are with the characters

i actually don’t play a lot of VNs but i feel like all VNs need the route map thingy in AI: the somnium files

my only gripe about this game is prob the derpy translations which usually isn’t a big issue (imo at least) but for a game priced this high?? i expected better

I’ll break these down so I don’t miss anything.

The girls seem to have assumed that someone was awake at some point in their kidnapping.   That at the very least they can offer a clue as to where they are or get them to wake up and send a signal so they can come and find them.  

And waking up with a very weakened body in front of Aida and Creepy Superior is certain death.

Yes, we don’t want anyone waking up too soon.  AIDA has been pretty lenient up to this point but she no longer has Radcliffe to keep her in check.  If she sees them waking up as a threat to the Framework she will kill them.  But again, the girls don’t know this…yet.  They don’t know Radcliffe is dead or what has been done to their friends.  Going in they think they are trapped as they are, not that they have been Tahiti’d and given new lives.  

Even all of them waking up at once is still too dangerous, they will be weak from being under for so long.   Mace is still recovering from his torture.  I’m not sure those 5, as capable as they are, and fight their way out.

Couldn’t they track the framework code and rescue them first?

They have tried and its too elaborate, both Fitz and Daisy did.  Radcliffe is bouncing off of too many servers and they can’t get a lock.  Fitz was going to use the tech he got from the Superiors base to help find a way to shut it down for good.  So for me its a hint we might have to see them take it down from the inside in order to escape.  IE in order to break free they have to defeat Hydra.  Just as May got out when she defeated AIDA.  I won’t be shocked if AIDA is the Dragon here again and is the head of Hydra.  

Also I read a lot of story where Jemma and Daisy goes undercover and all, and it takes days or even weeks to wake uptheir friends but it has to go very fast. The last time we saw AIDA bring Radcliffe out he said to “Bring him out after 24 hours,” and when she said she did he made it sound like time passes at a different rate in there.   So it either feels longer or in the blink of an eye kind of thing.  So while IRL they have been in there for a day or two, in there weeks could pass.   Allowing us to have 4-5 Episodes pass in there but when we get them out and go for the final fight its just been a few hours/days since they fled the Playground.  This also gives them a window do stop what is left of the Daisy fleet.

AIDA is taking care of the business of keeping them alive.  She has the IV’s for fluids, feeding tubes for feeding, and there are some ways of taking care of the bathroom stuff they aren’t showing.  I have been medically bed bound before and trust me its not fun so they won’t go that deep into it.  

Or they show them go in and out of the framework??

Jed said we are going to see them in and out of the Framework.  We will see what happened to the base, what of the LMD’s survived (I have a terrible feeling Robo Fitz and at least one of the Robo Daisy’s did and they will start hunting down Inhumans).  

And no doubt they will cut to the real world when someone is in danger in the Framework and their vitals start crashing in the real world.  Otherwise Jemma wouldn’t have had that “no matter what don’t pull us out line.”

Jemma and Daisy have Jemma’s back door.  So one or both can come out from time to time to update Elena and team Red Shirt and make adjustments as needed.  Then they can go back in.  

We will also get a glimpse at What AIDA is up too, know what the team has to fight once they get out.  

Also everything is fake in there except for 5 people so they can go full video games style and GTA mod like killing Ward in his sleep, explode hydra base etc.

The reason they can’t just start killing people is they are now in a world where Hydra is in control.  If they just start killing people they become targets themselves. and if their body dies in the Framework their body in the real world will follow.  

AIDA will have some sort of safeguard in place.  Her Prime Directive is to protect the Framework.  

Essentially it won’t be as easy as finding everyone and saying “wake up” and asking where they have been kidnapped too.

They’ve first got to find at get at them.  Daisy looks to have easy access to May.  Mack I’m betting will be easier to get too but won’t want to leave his daughter. Mace, if Mace is where I think he is then its a mix, they will need the right people to get to him.   Coulson…depends on if he’s May’s husband in here or not.  As the husband of a high ranking Hydra agent….he’ll be guarded pretty well.  Coulson’s other thing could be more of the “You guys are crazy if you think I’m a secret agent”.  Fitz, he might be the hardest for them to physically get at, especially if Radcliffe is with him.  HIs strong, deep love for Jemma I think means that even if he doesn’t ‘know’ her, he’ll be drawn to her.  So its in Radcliffe’s best interest to make sure she doesn’t get too close.

Once they find them they have to un Tahiti them.

Then they have to figure out how to beat the program to wake up/lead Jemma/Daisy to their bodies.   

All while making sure the hostages don’t wake up in the middle of a hornets nest with AIDA and the Superior….Back up needs to be close.  

PLUS we might have a Robo Daisy all seek and Destroy with the Inhumans, Elena is their “Most Valuable” asset so will likely be their first target.  

Be ready to hit the ground running, because I have no idea how they are going to get all this into 7 episodes!

DG SANTE plan on chlorate DG SANTE and national competent authorities are working on a plan to reduce the dietary risks related to chlorate in food and drinking water and to resolve the systemic non-compliance with the pesticides MRLs. This should be on the agenda of the biocides Competent Authorities meeting on 24 November, where our expert Eric Chauveheid will attend on behalf of EurEau.   Commission Work Programme 2018 The CWP2018 is available here. Under ‘new initiatives’ the one ‘Delivering on the Circular Economy Action Plan’ includes a strategy on plastics use, reuse and recycling (non-legislative, Q4 2017); a proposal for a Regulation on minimum quality requirements for reused water (legislative, incl. impact assessment, Art. 192 TFEU, Q4 2017); a REFIT revision of the Drinking Water Directive (legislative, incl. impact assessment, Art. 192 TFEU, Q4 2017); an initiative to address legal, technical or practical bottlenecks at the interface of chemical, product and waste legislation (non-legislative, Q4 2017); and a monitoring framework for the circular economy (non-legislative, Q4 2017).     Parliament objects to endocrine disrupting chemicals definition On Wednesday 4 October the European Parliament followed the opinion of the Environment committee to object to the criteria proposed by the European Commission for the identification of endocrine disrupting chemicals under the Plant Protection Product Regulation. The European Commission will have to come back with another proposal in the coming month. More… Glyphosate: MEPs ask for a full ban by end 2022 Parliament backed a full ban on glyphosate-based herbicides by December 2022 and immediate restrictions on the use of the substance, on 24 November 2017. This resolution is non-biding, its objective is to put pressure on the European Commission and the Council. Member States must adopt their position by a qualified majority but remain deeply divided. Greenpeace believes that ten countries would vote against a ten-year renewal of the glyphosate licence (A, B, F, GR, HR, IT, L, MT, S, SI), while two countries would abstain (D, PT). Sixteen countries may vote in favour (BG, CY, CZ, DK, E, EE, FIN, H, IRL, LT, LV, NL, PL, RO, SK, UK). If not renewed, the licence expires in December 2017. Water reuse The European Commission finalised the impact assessment of the proposal for an EU instrument on water reuse and submitted it to the Regular Scrutiny Board of the Commission on 25 October 2017. The board requested to improve the impact assessment for a potential EU level instrument on water reuse. The European Commission is aiming at finalising this revision very soon and will give more details at the Ad-hoc Task group meeting in Cyprus on 6-7 November. Iacovos Papaiacovou, our Cypriot GA member, will replace Pier Paolo Abis for this meeting to convey the EurEau message and see if the proposal can still be presented before the end of the year as expected. Water JPI The 2017 Water JPI call is just published: here.   Standing of NGO´s in administrative proceedings (Case c-664/15) The Supreme Administrative Court in Austria asks for guidance on the standing of an environmental organisation in seeking access to justice. The questions arise in the context of an application for a permit to abstract water from a river for the purposes of producing snow for a ski resort.   The Advocate General Sharpston at the European Court of Justice (ECJ) said in this preliminary ruling that  Non-Government-Associations (NGO) have the right of access to administrative or judicial procedures. The legal basis for this right was Art. 4 WFD in connection with the Aarhus Convention. If the ECJ follows this opinion – it does so very often –every water service provider asking for a new or renewed permit to use water (abstraction or discharge) will face NGO´s in the administrative or judicial procedure. We await how the ECJ will decide. HELCOM consultation - ‘State of the Baltic Sea’ HELCOM are looking for your overall views of their report and its presentation. Fertiliser Regulation On 24 October, the European Parliament voted the amendments on the Fertiliser Regulation as a basis for the EP position in the trialogue discussion. Member States will now approve their position in the Council and enter into discussions with the European Parliament to find a compromise on diverging positions.
