can you show us your plant shelf? *williams dafoe meme* i am somewhat of a plant connesir myself
YES although these pictures don't really do it justice tbh 😭
so there's only one spot in my house that gets any sort of decent natural light by this big window so originally I had ONLY the table here that was getting crowded and discovered over the toilet shelving happens to fit perfectly over it. so I got one with adjustable shelves which will be nice if/when I get bigger plants!!! one is drilled into the wall for stability but the others can move around. some other details
I have a tiny mushroom shelf thing I plan to also put on the wall, and then put a tiny plant on. in general I might use that space between the shelves and the painting for wall planters/fun shelves/misc shit like the mushroom one. I might just get more mushroom shelves and get a whole fungi situation going on tbh, but I don't want it to be too cluttered either
the cat is fun AND functional!! it's solar powered so it's actually a helpful measure for me if that area is getting enough light at a given moment (the grow light kinda activates it all day but before it wouldn't wag it's tail on rainy cloudy days, for example)
I don't have a lot of grow lights so I put everything that needs more light on that one shelf. I might invest in a humidifier for this corner as well but I'm hesitant bc I also have a lot of exposed art in my house and even though its separated away I don't wanna raise the humidity too much
basically I'm locked between plants that don't need a lot of humidity or sun just with how my house is and the fact I also have a lot of art to be mindful of
tbh a lot of the placements are temporary, I move plants around a lot to rotate who gets more window light on the table (which only really gets direct morning light but is just bright indirect light otherwise )
I'm banking on the pothos and pink panther plants to grow huge and trailing but since they're babies right now those spaces look kinda empty 😭
currently the table (who some may remember from my decoupage phase) and top shelf is where I store my misc supplies
I also have this other corner that is kind of more my "nursery" corner rn but I have bigger plans for
this is a weird fucking lamp that I found at goodwill and then I happened to find this plate thing at target that fit perfectly into the top slot. if I'm lucky I might find similar things for the other slots but for now I'm also thinking I can get a hanging plant situation configured here
the lamp actually has two slots for lightbulbs, I'm not using the one that blasts directly up right now but I think if I get more wall planters i can fill that corner with more wall/ceiling plants :)
the only thing is the grow lights extend past the holder so I'm literally using dryer lint sheets as a lampshade for now otherwise it hurts to look at 🤣 wip I say as if it hasn't been like that for months
I usually put propagations/tiny plants on the top shelf, right under the lamp grow light blasting downwards. I plan to combine those pilea glaucas into a 4 inch planter one of these days but I might wait until spring bc it's growth is slowed down a lot right now
I want the monstera and arrow plant to be floor plants with trellis that I will probably put closer to the window with the other shelf once they're bigger :) money plant idk where I'm gonna put it officially but it needs more light so I put it with the grow light
other notes while I'm gushing about my plants
I've found I'm quite fond of fast growers so I'm focusing on trailing plants like the pothos, monstera, and arrow plants, but I started with peperomias so I have a lot of them
but my absolute favorite is the chinese evergreen!!!! she has been growing so happily and busting out new growth, I like it so much I bought another baby red variation that is in quarantine right now but I'll move to the nursery shelf with the pilea glaucas later :)

Blue Team Beach House: Entry, Kitchen, Laundry
Now that we've looked at some of the design considerations from the outside, we're ready to head indoors! I feel like I'm on an HGTV show.
Right inside the front door (which, like most of the doors in this house, is tall and has a window feature - again, sight lines are important), we have the entryway. It's wide enough that it doesn't feel cramped, but still has plenty of storage space for things like keys, books, jackets, shoes, and exercise equipment (including but not limited to: Kelly's running kit and Linda's yoga mat). Which brings us to this post's first Design Consideration: Efficient Storage.
There's a place for mail and a mirror to double-check that they look sufficiently rugged and intimidating before they go out in public. Eventually there will be pictures in those frames. The holo-panel by the front door is the manual control hub for the dumb AI that runs the house's utility systems. (I'm still undecided on a name for it. I'd take suggestions.)
The color palette of the entryway more or less informs the theme for the whole house; various shades of blue and natural wood. Light floors and ceilings contrast with the dark blue walls and keep things from feeling too closed-in.
Directly in front of the entry is the kitchen and it's a straight shot through to the laundry area (but we'll get there in a second). Also, remember what I said about edible plants?
An indoor herb garden! Right around the corner from the entry, and just a few steps away from the kitchen (it's all open-plan anyway) there's fresh basil, sage, parsley, grapes, mushrooms, and garlic. Linda has assigned herself to plant care, she likes the routine of checking in on them every morning. (Quick shoutout to the moveobjects cheat for allowing me to sink those huge clunky vertical planters into the wall a bit, they look so much better that way.) Behind that door is a little shotgun bathroom, but that's for a different post.
The kitchen is spacious (as it needs to be when you have up to four huge people in it at once) with plenty of room to move around. Again, the coloring is light, mostly blond wood and white (easy to clean, as Kelly is so helpfully demonstrating) with the exception of the appliances, which add a balance of dark and/or colorful accents.
Utensils, knives, and pans are wall-mounted to free up counter space and there are so many cabinets and drawers for storage.
The decor throughout the house focuses mostly on wood and glass as its main elements, but there are industrial touches, seen here in the hanging lamps over the bar island and the brushed metal backsplash. (Player note: I added the blue floor light strips 1) because Halo is sci-fi and this house needed at least a little of that and 2) because the abrupt switch from wood to tile looked weird without a border.)
Instead of a traditional dining table, there is a long bar with additional storage under the countertop. Again, the seating is sturdy and stable and matches the muted dusty blue of the walls and framing of the overhead lamps, adding some color to an otherwise very earthy palette. The hallway behind the kitchen wall provides a way to access the two downstairs suites (Fred's and Kelly's) in a way that doesn't involve cutting through the kitchen. Neither of those doors are in the hallway, and as such can be seen from multiple angles on the ground floor, reducing blind spots to points of entry and egress.
Tucked under the stairs, next to Kelly's room, is the laundry area. As is par for the course, the washer and dryer are stacked to save space and nearly everything else is wall-mounted or stored on shelves.
The second Design Consideration I hope this post has demonstrated is: Unobstructed Space To Move. This will continue to be apparent throughout the rest of the house, but I feel like it's especially applicable on the ground floor where the walkways are wide and nothing is closed off from anything else in such a way that makes it difficult to access quickly.

Atlanta Wedding Photographers the Capture Adventurous Spirit of Bride and Groom
This week’s photo session is an Atlanta wedding photography classic. The couple’s wedding is in October and they wanted their engagement photos to have that Atlanta flavor by shooting at city landmarks that give that urban feel. Liz and Ben are international travelers and appreciate the energy a city can bring.
We started early at Piedmont Park at sunrise. They brought their dog Archie, who was an energetic fun soul. He brought so much personality and playfulness to the shoot.
The weather and lighting were perfect. When we got there the street lights of the park were still on. We could take advantage of the dramatic lighting a lamp can bring to a couple. It gave a very intimate and moody light. While it was still dawn and we had that low early light we moved over to the Greystone, where they have this grand arched entrance with large stone columns. There it was dark enough to use a flash to backlight the couple.
From there we moved on to capture the Atlanta Skyline. In front of Greystone is the Active Oval Running Loop with a soccer field in the middle. The entrance to the field is the original historic wall with the stone planters from when that area used to be the agricultural pavilion when the park was first built. The wall lines up perfectly along Piedmont Road and Peachtree street. That way you see the major buildings in midtown. There our couple climbed the wall and played. We even got Archie to get into the act. Archie would pose for the camera and supervise the couple in love.
To take advantage of the park we continued on to Lake Clara Meer, the center of the park. There we went to the front of the Dockside Visitor Center where they have a beautiful row of corinthian columns. It is a nice little area with great light. We then wrapped around the building to the dock leading to Lake Clara Meer where the sun was coming up above the treeline.
Liz also wanted to use some of the murals in Atlanta made by local artists. There are several of them by Krog street which is known for their graffiti filled tunnel. Liz and Ben went to Liz’s favorite mural of butterflies. There we took a few photos detailing Liz’s ring made from family heirloom stones. It is a beautiful ring with family history and deep meaning to the couple. We went into the tunnel and admired the latest artwork painted on the walls. We could still smell the fresh paint in the air.
Liz noticed a large mural on the way to the Krog Street Tunnel. As we got closer to the mural we noticed that in the center was a heart. It was the perfect location to end the day. What a great adventure in the city where we captured the adventurous spirit of Liz, Ben and Archie.

AngieHomes Gift Vouchers: The Perfect Gift for Any Occasion
The purchase of a new home or the relocation to a new location is a significant achievement that deserves to be commemorated with well wishes and parties. You have the opportunity to put a smile on someone's face by giving them a thoughtful housewarming gift for their new house if there is anyone in your friend circle or among your relatives who just purchased a new home and is celebrating this significant accomplishment. If this is the case, this is your chance to make them happy by giving them a gift. You may choose one of these
Housewarming Gift Ideas
if you are unsure what to give the hosts as a present and if you are having trouble deciding. This blog post will provide you with some ideas for housewarming gifts that are both intriguing and useful.
But before you reach for your wallet, it is vital to think about a few things, such as the preferences and sense of style of the person receiving the gift and, most crucially, your financial situation. On the list of the top housewarming gift ideas for new houses compiled by Angie's Homes, you'll find various gift ideas available at multiple price points. Please have a look at the list that we have here!
Bedding Set
One of the most practical items to give as a housewarming present is bedding. Your generosity will not go to waste. Fabric is essential to consider if you're undecided, and it's best to adhere to simple colours and designs. Bedding sets are frequently given as housewarming presents. But feel free to break the norm and try out new hues. For inspiration, check out some modern bedding set designs. The experts at Angie's List say that white walls help people fall asleep faster.
Decorative Tableware
There is no more helpful present than a set of ornamental dishes, which can be used in various ways, from holding food to holding change. Filling a gorgeous plate with party favourites (such as individually wrapped fruit chews, caramels, chocolates, or other treats) can be just as much fun as giving the dish itself as a gift.
Beautiful Table Lamp
Gifting a lamp is a great way to show someone you care. What is the brightest present you can give someone? Lamps are a great alternative, and the fact that you can obtain them in so many different designs is a bonus.
Blanket:- Featuring a Beautiful Pattern
Among the most thoughtful options for a housewarming present is a blanket. It's a thoughtful gesture, and they'll be grateful for the gift and its practicality. Unique blankets with designs that will impress everyone may be purchased.
Modern Vase for Gifts
I can guarantee that vases will be included in the presents. Their trendiness of them will never fade. Vases in a variety of styles are available from Angie homes. Buyers love this feature. It's a kind gesture that will make your host happy to get it. Now Angie Homes provides many categories of housewarming presents, including registry items for newlywed couples and newlyweds looking to buy a new home.
Art Work Housewarming Gifts:-
Some beautiful artworks are hanging throughout that brighten things up. Give artwork to your host if you know they appreciate art. It's always nice to have some paintings hanging about for some extra colour and decor. This is an excellent housewarming present suggestion if the recipient values your judgement in aesthetic matters. Vastu Shastra recommends hanging nature paintings in the living room and entryway and placing upbeat photographs of loved ones, flowers, or birds in the bedroom. Motivating artwork is ideal for kitchens. Lifestyle-minded housewarming presents Try an LED liquor shelf, wine decanters in rare designs, sound wall speakers, garden sprinklers, fine tableware and flatware, shower speakers, aroma diffusers, innovative planters, potpourri, essential oils, or a customised coordinates frame. Housewarming gift for Net married couples The Net Split Sheet Set for a Married Couple Snuggling up with your sweetheart ought to be more like a slumber party and less like a game of tug-of-war. Because of this, the flat sheet in Angie Home's ingenious sheet set is split from the top to the almost bottom. It can be put away at the foot of the bed and used to make it more comfortable for you and your resident snuggle partner. It's a win-win situation where the alleged cover hog can get all cosy, and the warmest sleeper can cool off. Plus, it's 4 inches wider than a standard sheet, giving you and your lover plenty of areas to spread out. Although the divide is ideal for couples, it also means that a single person only has to make one-half of the bed each morning. The set is constructed from brushed microfiber with a 2,000 thread count, making it soft, breathable, and resistant to pilling and wrinkling. Because of the split fleece blanket, these sheets are both cosy and fashionable.
LED Desk Lamp with Reading Lights People who, like the majority of us these days, study or read late into the night will appreciate the gift of a good study light. They enhance the aesthetic value of a property while being easily accessible, inexpensive, and simple to operate. Decorate your home with a work of art or a stylish Pillows & Cushions. Pick out something sophisticated that speaks to the receiver's interests. Wall art and decorative throw pillows are perfect for small to large homes and are sure to be a long-time conversation starter among your social circle.
Kashmiri Carpet:-
Modern Carpet that are silky smooth Fluffy Rugs Anti-Slip Shaggy Carpet for Home Rugs was inspired by the Nordic countries' beautiful light, colours, and scenery. Gift ideas for the dining room of a new home Some pieces are the heart of a dining room; without them, the room is not complete. Angie Homes suggests the following ornaments and beautiful cutlery as excellent housewarming gift ideas for someone who loves a beautifully set dining table. They help you feel like you're eating at a fancy restaurant.
Table Clothes:-
A set of elegant table linens is a popular and stylish Indian housewarming gift. Try to find tablecloths that have a classy pattern and are made of high-quality fabric. Napkins, placemats, table runners, and tablecloths are all examples of table linen. It's a necessary component of a full breakfast, lunch, and dinner set! A set of fine table linens is a thoughtful and beautiful present.
Various table linen sets are available, each with its unique combination of a tablecloth, plate mats, table runners, and so on. They can last a long time because they can be cleaned easily. While the Indian cuisine style quickly wears away plastic and other things. You can't avoid cleaning up, but doing so will destroy any plastics or other items you might have brought. Nevertheless, a set of sturdy table linens is one of the most appreciated presents you can give during a housewarming.
Coasters
Do you know if the homeowner likes tea or coffee? If that's the case, you can start thinking about cleaning and organising it. Housewarming presents that include a set of coasters are always appreciated. Coasters can be anything from a handmade work of art to a printed design. Fans of liquid refreshments are not limited to the dinner table; a sturdy coaster will accompany them wherever they go. They'll appreciate having a set of coasters with their beverage of choice everywhere in the house. One for the desk, one for the bedside, one for the coffee table on the balcony, and one for the meal's centrepiece. This list contains some inexpensive but heartfelt housewarming present ideas for your loved ones.
Cutlery:-
cutlery can come in a variety of styles and colours. Standard housewarming gift options like silverware have also been updated to reflect modern tastes. Gold, rose gold, and even matte black is stylish. You can show some sophistication by going for an unusual set of silverware. Both brass and stainless steel set are healthy options. Cutlery and crockery sets are often displayed as art in Indian homes. They are put on display in glass cases while not being used. You would also contribute to finalising their kitchen or eating area.
Pichwai Paintings: The Best House Warming Gift Ideas
Your house says a lot about who you are. So, home decor is essential for every place because it gives it a personal touch. Paintings can be great gifts for a new home. Everybody decorates their home because it sets the mood. So, giving gifts of home decor is always in style. Everybody likes paintings. Everyone wants one in their bedroom, so the poster shows that the room belongs to them. So, it's a good idea to give paintings as gifts. Never go to an art gallery with an idea of what you want to see. Be open to new thoughts and ways of seeing things.
Art Work:-
If the people you're giving the gift to are faithful followers of Lord Krishna, giving them a pichwai painting will be one of the best things you can do. Lord Krishna is the subject of Pichwai paintings, some of the most colourful pictures you will see. They can light up a house right away. They will look beautiful on the walls. So, they make great gifts for someone moving into a new home. The majority of these paintings are on cloth. These paintings cost little. So, there's no need to worry about it. You won't have to worry about money running out if you buy these paintings. So, you can enjoy the happiness that comes from giving gifts to other people. Pichwai is a style of painting that began in the Indian town of Nathdwara, near Udaipur, more than 400 years ago. Pichwai pictures are complicated and beautiful to look at. These paintings can be found at Angie's home site. Check out these paintings and see which makes your heart skip. Keep sight of the fact that the artwork is for someone else rather than for you. You'll be able to spend wisely after giving it some thought. Look at all of these paintings and choose the one you like best. If you like the image, the person you give it to will also like it. If you give something your all, it will be a success. So, try your hardest to find the best gift by using the ideas above.

How is your living room arranged? (Hellaina and Dia)
Living space headcanon | @heavensxstray
Sadly there's no nice and fancy pictures for this, just some poorly cropped screenshots of my Sims 4 game, where I've built an approximation of their living room/kitchen! The problem with their house is I had just enough hcs to make it inconvenient, without enough to really know perfectly how it is, so this seemed like the easiest way to get everything across.
Right, so, first thing! Their main living space is split into two piece: the living room, pictured above, which has the couch, tv, window seat, and a bunch of plants both inside, and on the planter boxes on the other side of the windows. Those have a few flowers, but they also have herbs and other things Dia can use to cook. They have quite a large dining table, more of a square shape that usually seats six, but can, if pushed, seat closer to 10. It's quite high, more akin to a bar-counter height, so the chairs are raised, and swivel. (Whereas Vox just straight up has no dining table at all).
The doors through to the rest of the house (not pictured because I didn't build them) are through the sort of... alcove area, beside the dining table. The dining table itself has books-- both for pleasure, and work. The one in the above pictures that is open is one of Dia's cookbooks. The laptop is Hellaina's.
They have a decent number of windows, but nothing like Vox's window-palooza. There is a decent amount of colour, split between a more purple and neutral living room, and the very red kitchen. Dia was the person who actually decorated most of the house, so it's a lot more her style than Hellaina's.
They have a ton of art up, and more in the kitchen, which is below.
In the kitchen, you get the wall which gets the more personal things. Their wedding photos would be here, Dia doesn't have her actual degrees down here, but, because she spent years working for them, and she'll be damned if she can't display them, she got copies-- she did Hellaina's at the same time.
It's quite a large kitchen, lots of counter space, and as Dia is a bit of a gourmet, that's useful!
The lighting in the kitchen is these sort of... vintage looking chandelier lights, that were 100% bought from the Cannibal Colony. In the living room, while they do have an overhead light or two, alongside a couple of lamps, most of the light is actually from string lights, that are liberally strung up.
The two rooms are more distinct than in Vox's apartment, but there's no proper door between them, just where the wall ends.
Their house feels lived in, it's very much their space, rather than a space they just so happen to live in.
A lot of the smaller details get cycled through-- rugs get swapped out, new art, the art gets rearranged.
But at it's most basic, you walk in through the door, and the couch is along the same wall, if you turn the other direction, there's the kitchen, straight ahead is the dining table, and on the far wall, is the entrance to the rest of the house.

How to choose the right porch lighting equipment
Lighting decor patio-When it comes to enhancing your home's exterior, porch lighting is an important element to consider. Not only does it provide safety and security, but it also adds curb appeal and can create an inviting atmosphere. However, with so many options available, choosing the right porch light can be a daunting task.
While the summer months provide us with many more light and sunny hours to sit outside and enjoy the garden, I bet we would all enjoy a bit more time outdoors, especially as the nights begin to draw in.
By introducing outdoor lighting into our life, we could all extend our time outdoors, opening up our gardens as the perfect space to enjoy a night-time drink while snuggled under a blanket.
When it comes to outdoor lighting, you may think your options are limited to security lights and lamps which light the way to your door for safety, but there is actually a vast selection of lights out there for you to choose from to suit the style of your outdoor space.

Rope Lights Along Borders
If you have a garden brimming with plants, then it’s time to bring attention to them during the night as well. Illuminate plants by running a rope of lights along the edges of the plant borders. Not only does this give more definition to your garden, but it also shines a spotlight on some of your favourite blooms.
Light Canopy
Increasingly popular in recent years, creating a canopy of string lights above your patio area can transform your space into a magical place. Making al fresco dining more special, the twinkling of the lights can add a cosy feel to outdoor spaces, especially if you select soft, yellow LED lights.

Solar LED Meteor Shower Light Holiday String Light Waterproof Fairy Garden Decor Outdoor Led Street Garland Christmas Decoration
If you have larger trees or stumps in your garden, then get winding a set of string lights around the trunk to create a warm glow in your garden in the evening. Not only does this highlight a key feature of your garden, but it also adds a magical, cosy vibe to your outdoor space.
Victorian Lamps
There’s nothing wrong with going traditional, so add a touch of the past to your garden with a Victorian-style lamp. Whether you choose a tall lamp post style, a wall-mounted lamp or Victorian-style garden lamps that stick in the ground, you have plenty of options to create this classic look.
Mushroom Lights
For a hint of fun in the garden, you can find lights in all sorts of shapes and sizes, with mushroom lights being a favourite. These tiny mushroom-shaped lights stick in the ground – either in your pots, planters or borders, and can add a cute illumination to your garden while fitting in with the nature theme.
Rock Lights
If you’re looking for more inconspicuous lighting, then rock lights can be a great option for outside spaces, with the lights disguised within an ornamental rock. The lights are also usually solar-powered, meaning you don’t need to worry about wires running all over your garden.
Fire Pit
A different form of light; adding a fire pit or table to your outdoor space can transform a patio into a stylish spot with an eye-catching focal point. Fire pits also offer the extra benefit of providing warmth, making it the perfect choice for those who want to make use of their outdoor space year-round, even in the colder months.
Faux Candles
While real candles might not survive long in the wind and rain, fake candles can stand proud in your garden all the time, with a flickering LED light in place of a flame. With faux candles, you can achieve the desired look for your patio space, without having to worry about anything catching fire from a stray candle being knocked over.
Wall Lights
Another classic option, wall-mounted lights are a simple, yet very effective way of providing your outdoor space with a hit of light. While many outdoor lights will rely on solar power or batteries to function, most wall lights will be mains powered, allowing you to turn them on and off when you want to, and will likely be brighter too!
Wall lights don’t have to be boring, either. There is a wide range of styles out there, including retro or industrial outdoor lights, allowing you to choose the best type to suit your chosen garden style.

Best Cozy Corner Ideas
We all love cozy corners in our homes, right? Why else would we want to spend so much time inside? Cozy corners usually feature a big window or large space with a single little piece of furniture. This makes it easy for you to tumble away from the world and relax. Aside from being super cozy, cozy corners also make your home emerge more spacious and welcoming. Here are some cozy corner ideas for your home that you can blend easily without compromising on function or aesthetics.
Cozy Corner Ideas:
Add a rug
Rugs can make any room feel cozy and warm. They are also a fabulous way to tie colour, pattern, and texture into a cohesive space. Rugs are best used in smaller spaces, but they can work in larger areas as well. A rug can immediately transform a space and make it feel friendlier and more inviting. A cozy corner is a perfect spot to put a rug. You don’t want to use a rug in a room that gets a lot of traffic or gets a lot of sunlight. A corner that sees very little action will be perfect for a rug.
Add a Sectional Sofa
Sectional sofas are wonderful additions to any room in your home. These extra-long pieces of furniture can be placed in the corner of any room and still offer plenty of seating space. You can also use the corner of your living room as the ideal spot for a sectional sofa. These pieces of furniture are very adaptable, so you can also use them in the entryway to create a cozy entry area or place them in the corner of your family room for added seating. A sectional sofa is amazing for smaller areas because it’s one piece of furniture that can comfortably sit up to six people.Sectional sofas can be placed in many different locations in your home, but they are especially good for use as a corner piece.
Light it up
Lighting is one of the most vital elements of any home décor. You’ll want to pick fixtures that complement your decor style and fixtures that will cast the right amount of light into the area in which you are placing them. You’ll also want to consider your budget when it comes to counting lighting to a space. If you have a little budget, you can choose to add a table lamp or hanging lamp or led to a corner of the room. There are many further styles of lamps and lampshades that you can prefer from to create a look that is perfect for your cozy corner. A hanging lamp can be placed above a sofa or chair in the corner, or you can add it to the side of a wall to add light to a hallway.
Fill the Corner Cart With Plants
Plants are one of the most affordable and efficient ways to create a feeling of nature in your home. You can plant small pots of flowers or vines in a corner or fill a decorative corner cart with plants. Plants are also a wonderful way to add colour to a space. You can select a blend of plants that have complementary colours to create a cohesive look in a corner. You can also put plants in decorative planters that are large enough to hold smaller pots or fill smaller decorative urns with soil. If you have a small space, you can use the wall space more effectively by placing plants against the wall.

Pharaonic (Egyptian-inspired) Living Room Set - The Sims 4
Hello, Everyone!
I brought to you my first published set! 🤩
- The design is inspired by the ancient Egyptian features and at the same time keeping it's modern luxury features. - Most of the colors I used were common in the ancient Egyptian history. - Used marble panels with LED backlights to add a modern feel. - Used golden accessories here and there to add a luxurious feel.
Hope you like it like I enjoyed every bit of the design process! 💗
NOTE: All screenshots are taken in game using reshade only.
You can also find more images for the set and my future creations on my Instagram & Pinterest pages.
The set contains new objects all meshed by me, One new wallpaint, one new floor tile, and 4 recolors. you can view them all in the images.
All new objects have:
Specular & Normal maps
All LODS
Custom Thumbnails
HQ textures
Poly count details of every object are in a text file, you can download it separately.
You can find all my cc in game by searching goldie
New Fake Ceiling! ✨
a new mesh of a modern fake ceiling with golden stripes
it does not fade when zooming in (because this will not be convenient in screenshots), but I made all the back of the mesh transparent so that you can see through it while playing and at the same time it will still be visible while taking screenshots.
Backless Wall panels! ✨
For every wall panel that I created for the set there is a backless version, which means you will only see the front of the panel, but when you rotate the view it will be transparent so that you can play and see your sims through them like when the walls go down.
there is also a non transparent version in case you want to use the panels away from walls so the back might be seen in your screenshots.

Welcome back to yet another house presented by The Prancing Moogle! Our presentation may look different, but our love and passion for housing has not changed. Get comfortable, because this house is quite the treat: another large plot, and the owner of the estate has added some enticing text to the description of Anchora Heights here in Shirogane (ward 20, plot 60 of Brynhildr) that can’t be overlooked. “We’re chewing the fat,” reads the auto-translate text, followed by, “Lalafell. Designed by Chanpelle.” Whether you are Lalafell or any of the other beloved races of this star, Chanpelle’s design can certainly be appreciated.
The exterior entrance guides us with a path of Dohn Trellis. Paths break off to different parts of the front lawn for easy access to the garden and two decks with tables and seating. Picture the light chatter over morning tea and coffee in the garden in such a lovely atmosphere. Also to note is the very clever striking dummy build in the center of the lawn, using a fountain, tree, and aetheryte.
Heading inside, be careful not to trip in the dark. Immediately, I am overcome with memories of Narnia and stepping out of the wardrobe into a manor of antiques, displays, and lots of glowing plants that I know are not edible, but they should be. In the main entrance room, there is much to see, and details that are easy to miss. There are little items tucked away in every corner, and every shelf and display case is filled to the brim with detail and flavor that suggests a story to be told.
Upstairs is a much calmer and more collected layout. The bannisters, planters, and stone pillars bring to mind a classy fine dining experience, while the L-shape sofa entices comfort and casual conversation. Across from this charming arrangement is a cozy bar, and they are very well stocked.
The next staircase is just behind the front counter in the main entrance. It leads to not only a more intimate seating area for two, but another staircase. Before we leave this area, note the moon in the fish tank, which is a lovely idea. This house has proven to be one of surprises thus far. Upstairs from here, there is additional seating, and a message book. A word from the owner: “HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE FINAL DAYS OF AMAROUT WOULD YOU BE INTERESTED IN SIGNING ON FOR A MEMBERSHIP WITH US TODAY?”
This entirely explains the music and immaculate vibes.
While on my way to this section of the house, I discovered another door, which we’ll venture through now.
This is the final room in these final words during these final days of Amaurot, and this is breathtaking. Carpets of flowers cover the entire floor, and in this room there are two floors. On the second floor, there’s even a river and bridge to cross over. This room is covered head to toe in plant life, and even the seating and lights are kept in theme with mushroom stools and glowing flower lamps. Waterfalls adorn the walls and leave a strong, tranquil note to leave on.
Thank you for joining us on a fun journey through the housing district in our first Tumblr edition of The Prancing Moogle. Of course, thank you to the house owner and the Failing Upwards Free Company for letting The Prancing Moogle write about a work of art such as their estate. Well done to their designer, Chanpelle! Please look forward to more from The Prancing Moogle this month!

newfragile yellows [1072]
“It could have been worse,” Bull says as he waits for Ellana to unlock the front door of the small shop. He can’t quite see through the windows. The paint on them is flaking so the shop’s name is almost illegible. The fog built up on the inside is either dust, corrosion, or something else. He knows that the windows themselves aren’t frosted or have any sort of glaze because he’s seen older pictures of the building and the windows were clear then. “Here, let me.”
Bull puts one hand on Ellana’s shoulder, and the other on the door handle.
“Twist as I pull,” Bull says, carefully pulling the door handle up causing the wood to softly groan while Ellana twists the stubborn key in the old fashioned lock. After a few harsh twists of her wrist and Bull jerking the door up in its frame the key finally turns and the tumblers fall into place with a low, anti-climactic click.
Bull pushes the door open and Ellana slips inside. The air inside is stale and somehow damp, there’s a fine layer of dust over everything, and the shop interior is so dark you’d think they’d broken in during the middle of the night instead of coming over right after breakfast. After a moment’s consideration he takes an empty table near one of the windows and uses it to prop the door halfway open.
“I found the lights, close your eye.”
Bull turns towards the half open door and focuses on the light there, closing his eye briefly as he hears the click and hum of the old lamps coming to life.
Under the light of the old fashioned lamps in the store’s front room there isn’t much change. A good deal of the store’s furniture and displays are covered in heavy dust cloths. He turns towards the windows, which are empty of anything valuable and mostly hold some display stands and decorative cloths.
Further inspection shows that the opacity to the windows is an accumulation of dirt and corrosion. If they want to use the windows as displays again they’ll have to be replaced. The lettering on the outside will have to be redone, too. Or done away with entirely.
He turns when he hears the creaking of floorboards and Ellana stands in the dark wooden doorway that leads to the back storage rooms.
She shakes her head. “Nothing left up here. That’s a good thing. I’m guessing that before my great-aunt died she had the wherewithal to order her employees or one of her younger relatives to come in and put everything away before it could get damaged.”
“What do you need?”
Ellana bites her lip, looking around the shop slowly. “There’s the cellar and the small plot out back. Which one do you want to check?”
“What did anyone tell you about this place?” Bull asks. It’s a polite way of asking if she knows which one of those two locations is most likely the one they’ve been dreading coming across.
Ellana lets out a slow breath of air.
“I really couldn’t say. I mean. Of course I studied the family trade. To an extent. But I never got too deep into this side of it.”
“Guess.”
Ellana worries her lip before slowly answering. “If I had to guess…I’d say the cellar. It’s not an optimal growth environment. But it’s more secure than keeping it outside, and it would help make sure there aren’t any prying eyes.”
“Do you want to get that out of the way now?”
She lets out another long slow exhale before squaring her shoulders. Ellana’s mouth pulls into a stern line as she nods once.
Bull crosses the store’s front room to her and she takes his hand to pull him deeper into the shop. The back room has more dust cloth covered furniture and dim light fixtures. There’s a narrow doorframe that Bull has to twist and hunch to squeeze through. The stairwell down is stone and cold, but the stairs are wide and well maintained compared to the rest of the building so far.
“This would be one of the worst places to slip and fall, if — if the cellar is what we think it is,” Ellana says.
There’s a wide landing at the bottom of the stairs. The door has a steel grate over it that Ellana unlocks and pushes to the side. It goes easily. Then she unlocks the double set of doors and with Bull’s help they push open.
The heat from the other side of the room is jarring. And so is the smell. Earthy and hot and also —
Ellana grimaces, raising a hand to cover her nose and mouth as she staggers backwards and into him.
“Well. I hate to say I’m right,” she says, voice trembling. “But. It was the cellar after all.”
Bull sighs, steadying her with one hand as he looks around. Unlike the rest of the shop that he’s seen, the cellar is startlingly clinical looking. It’s steel and tile and white washed stone face. Dozens upon dozens of wires snake up the walls and ceilings, hooked up to a complex system of lights and water tubes. There are racks upon racks of planters. Some are at an angle, some of them rotate slowly like a ferris wheel in order to get more light.
Mushrooms, moss, lichen, fungus of all sorts grow and creep among the planters.
Among the bodies.
Ellana pulls her shirt collar up around her nose and mouth, holding it in place as she crosses the room. Bull follows after her, carefully examining the planters he crosses. The cellar is large. Larger than the floorpan would suggest. He wonders if the neighboring plots know that underneath their noses lies the open secret of the Lavellan Apothecary — the one no one talks about in polite company but nervously laughs about in quiet, sealed off corners.
She unlocks the door to a small office room, built into the far wall. Out of the corner of his eye Bull can see the processing area. A steel table past plastic curtains and white tile. The racks of equipment used to process the bodies for the fungus are covered.
Ellana ducks into the office and comes out with a ledger.
“We’ll have to contact the families,” Ellana says, thumbing through pages.
“So you’re really doing this then?”
“What choice do I have? There’s no one else,” Ellana replies bitterly. “And the Lavellan Apothecary must be run. It’s not a question of who wants to or not. It must be done.”
She looks up from the pages, mouth pinched as she surveys the room.
“The body farm must be tended,” she says, “And for the lack of better hands to do it, it falls to me.”

one day we'll all get still
(ao3 link in the notes! title from a world alone by lorde)
The summer is quiet.
Impossibly quiet, really; it’s like the whole world decides to hold its breath and count to ten, like everyone is so used to the silence that the globe itself slows its rotations and stills, stretching out the days until everyone’s shadows are long on the sidewalks and the sky is painted in a million colors. The humidity in the air clings to everything and weighs it down until it rests on the burnt-out grass, watching, waiting.
Quiet is not quite a large enough word to encompass what the summer is.
Even in the hum of air conditioning units working overtime to provide some relief to those inside of their houses, there’s a peace that will never be felt in the autumn or the winter or the spring. That peace can’t be found unless you’re sitting with the sun hot on the back of your neck and the top of your head, full of worries, yes, but without any true care.
Zoe sits on one such day. Her converse stretches out into the street with her legs, and from where she perches on the curb, she can see only what is immediately in front of her: houses that look the same as the houses next to them, rows of minivans and gardenias and shrubbery. She hears the hum of the air conditioners and she wishes she were inside, benefiting from their overtime instead of sweating through her class t-shirt like the eggs everyone always jokes about cooking on the sidewalk, but she knows she won’t. Shouldn’t. Can’t. There is too much turmoil, too much dust settling, and she doesn’t want to choke and accidentally set off another mine.
Is this house her childhood home or a cleverly disguised game of Minesweeper? Probably both.
Someone sits next to her, and she knows it’s Evan before anything else. She’s always known when it’s him; she can sense the difference between him and everyone else with eerie clarity. Evan sits, as though there’s nowhere he’d rather be than sitting beside her on the dusty, rough curb. As though he were designed for this and nothing else. Zoe doesn’t quite look at him, but from the corner of her eye, she sees everything he does. She couldn’t stop seeing him if she tried.
He offers her his hand. In the grand scheme of things - of all the contact they’ve shared, hours they’ve clung to each other, years they’ve spent sharing beds and curling up on furniture and breathing in the same breaths - it’s nothing. But somehow it feels like something as she places her palm atop his, still not quite looking at him, and lets her fingers lock with his, trapping the heat between their sealed hands.
Because, in all the years before that, they were Zoe Murphy and Evan Hansen, all sharp elbows and gangly limbs and bare feet pounding on mid-July pavement and the faint smell of sugar that seemed to follow them everywhere. They were flickering street lamps illuminating nothing but some weeds poking through blacktop, hands covered in chalk and rainbows of drawings blooming across the crumbling sidewalks. They were the feeling of a playground ball rough under your uneven fingertips, and the sound of small hands tearing at the brittle, dried grass, and swinging so high up on a swing that the swingset groaned under the weight of it. They were handfuls of moments trickling from between their fingers like sand on a beach, a collection so bright and so mighty that it seemed inevitable it would explode.
But they were sixteen and seventeen, respectively, far from the days of running carefree without any adults to look after them. They would sometimes watch reruns of the Andy Griffiths’ Show at the Murphy’s with glasses of Cynthia’s town-famous lemonade (which was really just half a pack of Crystal Light mixed with lemon juice, though Cynthia admitted this in whispers so low and conspiratorial to both kids that they would think they were guarding a national treasure of a secret), and they joked that they were Opie - between Zoe’s huge, monument-like home with her parents and brother and Evan’s tiny, cluttered house where his mother was never home, always picking up another shift at the hospital an hour’s drive away in the city, they rarely had any adults checking their whereabouts or any home to post up in just like their 1960s idol. Their laughs are more restrained but no less bright as teenagers, their smiles just as wide but more difficult to coax out, the smatters of freckles dashed across their faces just as strong from hours spent in front of the sun.
Summer brings out the children in them, even though you have to squint to see it.
Summers also used to be spent loudly, all the kids in town creating a general hum of excitement and wonder at the warm days and short nights. But when the summer before Zoe’s junior year hits, there’s no laughter to be heard echoing down streets with the chimes of bike bells, no smacks or shattering sounds accompanying ball games on the elementary school’s playground, no fire hydrants busted open to give everyone an impromptu pool party. It’s like the town itself can sense that something bad is coming and has silenced itself preemptively, like by keeping everyone taciturn and silent nothing bad can befall them. It’s no peaceful silence, either. It’s a loud silence, one that takes up space in every crack in every road; and it leaves everything looking off-kilter. Heidi is gone almost constantly, and Larry and Cynthia’s blow-out fights have peaked at least three times a week, and Connor...well, Connor would always be a whole other story.
Despite the silence that weighs over the town like a blanket, Zoe is far from comforted by the town-wide hush. She’s filled with unbidden energy, leaving her restless and fidgety and ready to crawl out of her skin at almost every moment.
So she stands up, yanking Evan with her. He follows as though there is nothing else he’d rather do, as though she is the only force that can move him despite the fact that he stands a good 6 inches taller than her even slouched as he always is.
There’s a little cafe in the next town over. They rarely go there - there’s not exactly a reason to, since they can do just fine finding their own food, and it’s a ripoff anyway. But occasionally, when the oppressive heat (one only a small town and the height of the summer can create) forces them into their lightest clothes and has them practically tearing their hair out, they make the trek just for something to do.
That day, they take Zoe’s car - she’s technically not allowed to drive with just another teenager in the car, but no one’s enforced that for as long as Zoe can remember. So they drive in her shiny, brand-new black Audi with paint you could practically eat off of and blast Lorde with the windows firmly shut, singing along because they know every word. They’ve been living off of her two albums ever since they’ve come out, and she can’t help but smile as she thinks of all the hours spent stretched out on her back on Evan’s bedroom floor, giggling as he dramatically mimics her deep tone in Ribs or sitting on her back porch where he tries to sing Liability in a high falsetto, forcing her water come out her nose with the strength of her laughs. He’s quieter that day, but the whole summer has felt that way, not just him. Everyone seems to be pressed down but some invisible force, words poised on the tips of their tongues without ever breaking free.
Normally, she’d be clinging onto his arm or throwing some limb around him to drag him towards the café, but the temperature in her car reads a toasty 96 degrees before even factoring in the humidity. She settles for dramatically opening the door for him, hiding a wince when the smooth flesh of her palm grills against the sun-heated metal door.
At first sight, the café appears to be empty, but as they look for another moment they see patrons dotted at the tables; they’d blent so seamlessly in with the walls of the shop, as though they did nothing but sit there always, that their brains could not help but write them out of the initial picture. True to form, there is no one behind the counter, but Zoe and Evan wait in front of it all the same; there was a chime when the door opened, and they are far too used to the way businesses operate when there’s little demand to expect anything more than this.
A woman barely three years older than them emerges from the back some minutes later while looking as though she stepped out from a sepia photo. Like the customers, she blends in. When she greets them, her voice is full of false cheer even though she seems to be wilting at the edges just like the poppies in their planters on the sidewalk.
“Hi,” Zoe replies, tearing her eyes away from the small menu nailed to the wall. “Uh, could I have a small blackberry iced tea and-” she glances at Evan, who fiddles with his shirt and lets his eyes jump around the air beside the server and decides to order for him. “And a small English Breakfast tea with cream?”
When the color-void server returns with the drinks and they take them out to the car, he thanks her from the passenger seat, but she just shushes him and starts up the ignition.
Zoe glances at him a lot over their drive home. It’s nothing she hasn’t seen before, but she still can’t stop. She can’t help but think that he’s so wildly different and so completely the same as he’s always been, even uncharacteristically silent on a car ride. He reaches one hand to adjust the sound on “A World Alone” and Lorde’s voice swells with his fingers twisting the dial.
“Maybe people are jerks, but not you.”
He starts to hum, then. His hair starts to fall into one eye, but he doesn’t move it; he simply taps one hand against his thigh. Between sips of tea, he hums a harmony to Lorde’s main melody, and the sound soothes her heart more than anything else. His lashes flutter against his cheek as they get into the chorus.
“You’re my best friend and we’re dancing in this world alone...”
At once, Evan sputters out a “Zoe!” around a mouth of tea and she slams the break just in time to see the red light bright above them. A horn beeps one long, prolonged honking sound from the intersection immediately to their right.
Evan speaks, his voice pitching up to be high and breathless. “Could’ve been worse, I guess.”
She’s reminded, suddenly, of the time after Connor’s birthday party in middle school when they helped her parents take down the blue and white balloons taped up everywhere. Evan had untied one of the balloons, his fingers exceptionally nimble for someone so incapable of staying still, and inhaled the helium inside so he’d get a funny voice, and Zoe followed suit. His voice is almost the same in her car, albeit from fear rather than helium, but she gets a sudden urge to laugh anyway.
“I guess so,” she says at length, and before she knows it the two of them are looking at each other and laughing. “I’m - I’m sorry, I did not mean to do that-”
“Ah, really? I thought you were finally acting on your plans to get rid of me.”
She pulls a face. “For what motive?”
He grins quickly before it fades again. “Annoyance.” Evan points ahead of them towards the light, which is newly returned to green. “Speaking of which, if we don’t want to get honked at or rear-ended…”
“This town would,” she mutters darkly, resuming her driving.
Pulling into the Murphy’s driveway is achingly familiar. Her mom’s tiny silver sedan gleams in the sun, contrasting the freshly-trimmed grass nicely. The imposing white of their house seems to melt into the air around it, making all edges soft and fuzzy as though distorted through water. (“You could swim through this air,” she remarks lightly as she steps out of the car, and going by Evan’s small yuk of disgust, he agrees.) Her car slides to a stop across the uneven gravel of their driveway, and with that, their journey is over.
They practically glide past the perfectly-manicured shrubs and flowers, moving determinedly towards the door. Although Zoe’s key is warm in her hand, the condensation from her iced tea still cooling on her palm, the door is hot enough to burn and scar. It takes a moment for her to brave the temperature and open it.
The sunlight reflects harshly off of the freshly-painted white walls, nearly blinding them as they stumble in. Zoe blinks as she makes her way down the hallway, letting the sound of her sneakers against the hardwood ensure her that she moved in the right direction. Her vision starts to adjust just as she enters the kitchen, Evan just behind her.
Connor is in the kitchen, clearly intending to pass her and take the route out the front door, but when he catches sight of Zoe and Evan he stops short with his hands rested in the pockets of his black hoodie. The siblings freeze at the same time, memories of a thousand old fights in the kitchen surfacing at once.
The problem with their fights is that neither seeks them out. They don’t know a storm is coming until the wind knocks them down.
“Hey, Connor,” Evan says, his hands already jumping to his shirt hem, probably in an attempt to diffuse the sudden tension in the air.
Connor nods briefly in Evan’s direction. He might mutter a “hey” back, but if he does it’s barely audible. He watches her as though gauging her mood when she finally regains control of her limbs and crosses to the kitchen table. She’s watching him, too, even if she’s more subtle about it. The July heat still clings to her skin, and it’s all she can think of as she looks at Connor’s outfit.
“You’re going to broil to death in that, Con,” she says before she can think to do otherwise. She stiffens almost immediately, and suddenly she can look anywhere in the room except her brother. Mentally shaking her head, she forces her hand to move and drop her sunglasses to the table, an action that is too nonchalant for the sudden tense air in the room. She just lets her fingers curl around her tea and waits with unavoidable acceptance for the blow-up to happen.
But it never comes.
“You’re going to burn to a crisp in that outfit,” is all Connor mutters in reply. Zoe gets the sudden urge to grin, but she suppresses it, electing instead to glance down at her tank top and shorts combo.
“There’s, like, a 90 percent humidity rate.”
Zoe finally meets Connor’s eye, and she could swear his muscles twitch as if with the urge to smile. “You, like, burn to a crisp in two seconds of sunlight.”
“That’s true,” Evan says just as Zoe exclaims that she “doesn’t burn,” she “freckles.”
She just throws a faux glare in his direction, examining the dark, freckled skin of her forearm at the same time. Curse her brother and his ability to not burn in the sun; despite their skin being the same shade, she was infinitely more susceptible to the sun’s strength.
Connor clears his throat suddenly. “Well,” he says, with a brief nod. “I’ll just…” and, with that, he slips out the front door.
Zoe shakes her head in his wake, clutching her tea tighter. She looks at Evan. His mouth is shaped as though he’s about to say something, but she brushes past him to move towards the stairs, effectively cutting him off. Footsteps sound behind her on every stair, so she knows he follows.
He trails after her into her pastel-splashed room, shutting the door behind them. Cynthia or Larry being home is unlikely, but the illusion of privacy is nice all the same. She crosses the carpeted floor to crack a window open almost immediately, nearly spilling her drink in the process. Her room is stiflingly hot, leaving the air clinging damply to them. Evan pulls a face, falling into the desk chair while completely indifferent to the fact that it’s covered in hoodies.
“I forgot your room is actually a greenhouse,” he says, watching as she feels the slightly cooler air from outside settle on her cheeks.
“It’s like the air conditioning is actively avoiding it,” she agrees. She turns back around to face him, leaning against the window sill and readjusting her drink in hand.
The edges of Evan’s dark brows pull together, and she sees as his jaw clenches and unclenches in rapid succession. “So, with C-”
“No,” she cuts him off before he can even begin. “I don’t think I can…”
Although she’s used to how heavy her head feels in the summer, the weight of her curls feels heavier than normal, and she tugs at the ends near her shoulders uncomfortably. When she doesn’t move them, they cling to her shoulder blades and refuse to budge. Evan’s eyes, the infinite pools like aged whiskey that are almost as intoxicating that she knows so well, study her as she fidgets until he can’t take it anymore and looks away. “Of course,” is all he says in response.
She drains the last of her tea and tosses it into the trashcan in one fluid motion.
At some point she puts some music on, no longer trusting Evan’s music taste even with her continued influence on him. They shift from activity to activity as they always do, sometimes speaking and sometimes just enjoying being with another person. Dodie’s voice fades to Paramore fades to Jasmine Cephas Jones fades to Hozier and then Zoe grabs her guitar to play along while perched on the edge of her bed. Evan, with his voice of an angel, sings as best as he can, laughing at the low notes and his attempts at a falsetto.
She’s so used to this, the notes of her guitar and the timbre of his laugh and the duvet under her legs, but in a summer that has felt entirely shifted just left of what she feels it should be something feels off all the same. Evan joins her on the bed, crossing his legs under him like a little kid, and she’s so used to being close to him but like everything else it feels different. More charged. More conscious. Like if she’s not careful she’ll tilt and land directly where she knows she can never be, her hands settling at the base of his jaw and sliding over his skin and his hair until there’s even less space between them.
They fall asleep on top of the covers of her bed anyway, sometimes after they tire themselves of singing. Their bodies manage to curl just short of each other, just as they’ve been sleeping since they were little kids. Zoe drifts off without any blankets or even a pillow under her head since it’s far too hot for anything on her. Her fingertips lightly brush Evan’s and that’s the last sensation she is aware of. Similarly, she’s vaguely aware of the fact that he pulls away at some point, and she feels his absence like the weight of a necklace around her throat, but although she’s aware of it, she isn’t roused till the taps come from her window.
She mentioned, once, that she wanted to be awoken one night with someone throwing rocks at her window while she was still in high school. Zoe never thought Evan would do more than laugh it off, but she’s proven wrong that night. The clock is barely gone eleven when quick, insistent taps sound at her windowpane, and she rouses - she’s always been a light sleeper. Evan’s grinning face meets her gaze from about four feet below her, and she takes a minute-long detour to throw a flannel on and brush her teeth before coming back to the window with a bottle of red wine she knows her parents won’t notice is missing. She drops down the half-flight and lands like a cat on her feet.
Well, not quite. She feels her ankle buckle beneath her as her converse make contact with the ground, and her whole body follows it. Letting out an involuntary hiss, she reaches her free hand to Evan and he’s in front of her before she can fall at all, his hands finding her elbows and hoisting her upright. She and Evan are genuinely worried she’s hurt it for a moment, and she hops into a more-standing position while leaning on Evan and bouncing on her good foot. But the pain passes quickly, and Evan laughs once he’s sure she’s okay.
“Wow, such an adult,” he says as she brandishes the bottle for him. She lightly shoves at his shoulder and just tells him to lead the way to wherever they’re going.
Evan is in rare form; he’s never this confident, surging forward along cracked sidewalks only half-illuminated in the dim streetlights the town never decides to fix. One flickers out as they pass beneath it, and she almost stumbles before he reaches out and wraps an arm around her waist. She leans into the touch, letting out an involuntary shudder that she blames on the night chill, and they continue the walk in the same fashion.
When Zoe sees the familiar sign of Ellison Park, she just looks to him, her eyebrows furrowing, but he grabs her free hand and drags her through their normal haunts in the park - the huge oak towards the entrance, the lone statue of a kid reading a book, a bench Zoe once got stung by a bee on - and through a thick crop of trees.
“If I get triple E from a goddamn mosquito, I’m blaming you,” she grumbles, swatting at imaginary bugs.
He shrugs, still leading her to destinations unknown. “Go for it.”
She has another snarky reply posed on the top of her tongue, but it slides away as they break away onto what appears to be the side of a hill surrounded by trees. Above them, the stars shine down as though to smile at them, brighter than anywhere else in town. The whole place is bathed in a faint silver light like something out of a dream.
“Holy shit,” she breathes, but it comes out croaky and near-silent because her breath can’t find its way out around the lump that has grown in her throat. “What is this place?”
Evan shrugs as a small half-smile crops onto his face. “Found it the other day. I can’t believe we haven’t seen it before.”
Wordlessly, Zoe trails over to the slight incline, letting herself flop over until she lies sprawled on her back. “Holy shit,” she says again, beckoning him over. He’s over in an instant, lying at a slight angle to her so his head is right below hers and his feet trail away to her left. “I haven’t seen Orion since I was a kid…”
And that’s how time moves, for them. The bottle of wine passes between them like a game of hot potato and Zoe points out constellations she knows Evan can’t see, even when he tries his best. There is nothing to do but lay there with your best friend and see the universe stretched out in front of you, and Zoe is all at once breathlessly thankful for this little town and its glacial pace.
“It looks so peaceful out there,” he mumbles as the wine starts to take effect in her brain.
She turns her face away from the sky for the first time that night; she’d felt his gaze on the side of her face while she spoke, even when he pretended to be looking at the constellations, but now he really seems to just be looking at the stars. The silvery light gives his dark skin an almost pearlescent sheen, and Zoe thinks he’s never looked so beautiful as he does then, all the glow of the moon captured in his face and the shine of the stars reflected in his deep brown eyes like a long-lost galaxy.
For a moment, she wonders if she’s been wrong this whole time. Maybe she’d thought she was looking at the sky when the whole sky she’d ever need was inches from her face.
“Like everything is where it’s meant to be,” he continues, indifferent to the way her thoughts have derailed. “Balanced. Purposeful. On some...predestined track, just thousands of particles and stars and novas being drawn together so we have something to look at and know that something larger exists.”
He doesn’t turn to face her, but she wishes he would. Zoe longs to feel his breath hot against her cheek like an errant star falling from the sky, to feel the tingle of his lips so close to the skin of her face that entire galaxies bloom across her skin, to feel the star shine words he utters without any air between them. She wishes he would turn his face, let their noses brush in some pseudo kiss. She wishes he would kiss her, or she would kiss him, but they’re caught in limbo instead.
And, tipsy under the stars in Ellison Park, Zoe reckons with the fact that she might be a little in love with Evan Hansen.

Move Along
Summary: It’s okay to move on from someone who hurts you or you’re no longer in love with.
Jaehyun X Reader
Warnings: This deals with cheating and divorce.
(Jaehyun is TOXIC and realizes it)
[It ends on a light hearted note]
There’s a lot of song lyrics here if I missed a few just tell me, but here are the ones I can remember. (It was originally based off of Be My Mistake by The 1975).
Be My Mistake and It’s Not Living If It’s Not With You by The 1975, Fvck Somebody by The Wrecks, (Probably Used: Don’t Take The Money by The Bleachers), Peach Scone by Hobo Johnson and The LoveMakers, Therapy and Some Kind of Disaster by All Time Low, and (Partial quote: With a Little Help From My Friends - The Beatles) Title from Move Along by The All-American Rejects
Whether you are in a friendship, a relationship, or a marriage, everyone needs a break. Sometimes even when you’re all by yourself you need a break. When it gets tough, the tough get tougher and the weak get weaker. It seemed like my marriage to Jaehyun was perfect,... Yeah, he still had his duties as a Kpop idol, and I still have my duties at my shop. But we always knew we had each other’s backs through thick and thin. He always comes home around midnight and leaves at noon. Then, he started coming home late, or not coming home at all, and not telling me where he has been the whole time. Not even leaving a text, and when he left for tour later that week. He didn’t say a word to me and left without a word.
In our twelve years of being together, he’s never pulled something like this. We had been best friends for five years, and he would always have me there when he goes off on tour. When we started dating, we would kiss, hug, and cry together before he left for tour. Five years after we started dating, he asked me to marry him. I said yes, of course, and for the first time since then, he hasn’t spoken a word. If he texts me at all it’s in terse sentences, no emojis, no ‘I love yous’, no nothing. If I was being real, it is breaking me into pieces, but I won’t say anything. Because it seems if I bring it up, he will ignore me.
He’s been on tour for three weeks, and I have yet to hear a word from him. I text him good mornings, are you okay, I hope you have a good day, it’s lonely without you, goodnight. It wasn’t until this afternoon that I figured that something was up. When he asked me if we can take a break, that he can’t take this marriage right now with everything going on. I broke down after I texted him back, ‘sure, that’s fine, I hope whatever is going on goes away soon’. He said ‘thanks’ shortly after, and I couldn’t feel anymore.
Everything was going well, but it seems what they say about life is true. I never wanted to believe in it, as I kept an optimistic outlook on everything. They say nothing in life is fair, but what if it was? I refuse to let things like that get to me, well, it seems I did. As I lay on my bed suffering, my best friend, my lover, my everything… has given up. All I can say is, it’s fine, don’t worry about it, and not pry at the problems. The only one who seemed to get me since I moved here, maybe I should have stayed in my home country.
I call my old best friend which I haven’t talked to in years. I was always wondering how they were but, fearful that they would forget about me. But the minute it lets out a ring, it’s a voice I haven’t heard in forever asking, “(Y/n)? Why are you calling me, are you alright?” I muffle my sob into my sleeve, “Not really, but I was wondering if I could come visit you?” They let out a little hum, and tell me to give them a second. “Yeah, when will you be here? Do you need me to come pick you up?” I nod, but I realize they can’t see me. I reply, “Yeah, if you don’t mind, I’ll text you after I order the plane ticket, thanks, Jamie.”
After saying our farewells, I couldn’t care less how much the ticket was, all I knew was I wanted out of this place. The greens in the room make me nauseous as I continue to look at them while packing my stuff. Barely being able to touch Jaehyun’s clothes without shaking. I stare at the picture of us laughing, standing on the dresser, and put it down on the dresser. By the time he gets back from tour, I’ll still be at my friend’s house. I rip our pictures off the walls as I walk through the house collecting little things to take with me.The last thing I pack is my computer, and put it into its pouch, in a separate bag. I could take my car to the airport, or I could store it in my storage unit, which I decide is a better idea. I don’t want him to know where I am, he doesn’t deserve to know if he wants a break,... I’ll give him a break. I’ll take a break from him too, why does he get to be the only one who gets to have fun, and figure things out. I take a shower, before telling my employees I won’t be here for a few weeks. I tell Jeonghan to run the store like I would, “So into the ground?” He cheekily replied, making me laugh, before I said, “I’ll see you later, Jeonghan.”
With a deep sigh and some of my frustrations out, I take my car to the storage unit. I kiss the steering wheel, telling little Louie goodbye before calling an Uber. My Uber pulls up, he has four scented trees hanging from his rear view mirror. Along with two beaded necklaces, and a little flower sitting on the dash. He asks me how my day was going, a little white lie couldn’t hurt anyone sometimes. I tell him it’s going okay, and I ask him about his. He tells me a little about himself, and I tell him little tidbits about me. He drops me off at the airport and tells me to have a safe trip. I tell him to have a good day at work he grins as I pay him the fare.
I forgot how bustling this place can be, the atmosphere feels nice. I get my bag checked, go through the scanner and wait for my flight. I look at my phone, and scrolling through twitter, and seeing propaganda from Dispatch. That Jaehyun has a hickey on his neck, he couldn’t have one if I haven’t been with him in a few weeks. They know he’s married to me, so why would they even broadcast that. Maybe I should have realized that is why he wanted a break. But alas, I didn’t put two and two together,... As I sit on the plane, that thought never crossed my mind as I fell asleep.
Next thing I know, I’m in my home country, waiting for my old best friend to pick me up. I see them, looking around for me with a little sign that says, “Welcome back home, (Y/n)!” I rush over, hugging them as they excitedly tell me, “I can’t wait for you to meet everyone!” My eyes widened a bit, I mean I expected them to eventually get a family, but I didn’t think it was eventually yet. “Oh man, I can’t wait to meet them” The radio bopping out the tunes as we sing along, laughing at each other and reminisce. They unlock their front door, and yell, “I’m home and I brought a guest!” Three screeching kids come running attaching themselves to Jamie. When I look up after I am introduced to Pat, Dani, and Nova. Their three little ones, I notice Mingyu a face I haven’t seen in years. I tell Jamie softly, “You guys married?” they both nod at me. Mingyu had liked Jamie throughout our senior year, made it official on our graduation day. Mingyu comes over and welcomes me with a hug and kisses Jamie’s forehead. “There are children present!” Mingyu cracks back, “Yeah, like you?” I laugh, “You got me there.” The two of them laugh, before introducing me to their dogs, Shelly and Bailey, and their two cats Marco and Polo.
They show me to the guest room where I’d be staying for a little while. I tell them I’m overly grateful for them letting me stay here, and Jaime pats my head as they tell me it’s no problem. I look around at the rusty orange painted room. The closet filled to the brim with storage, a cute little lamp on a nightstand. A small plant on the windowsill in a frog planter along with crystals arranged on the windowsill. The plush carpet riddled with coffee stains, making it more a brown carpet than a white carpet. Mingyu calls us down for dinner. The kids rushing ahead of me, I laugh as Pat trips both his siblings, I help them up and carry them in as Pat rushes in front of me. I ruffle his hair, “Little troublemaker, they’re going to get you back, you know that, right?”
Jamie sighs, “He tripped the other two-” “Because Dani and Nova pulled my hair!!” Jamie sighs, “I wonder why” we exchange a laugh, as Mingyu lays the plates down. Jamie kisses Mingyu thanking him for the meal, as the kids yell their thanks. “Don’t expect a kiss from me, but thank you very much” The both of them laugh, Mingyu asks, “How’s Jaehyun?” I wince when they bring him up and Jamie grabs my hand rubbing their thumb over my hand, “Oh honey, what happened?” I look towards the kids, “Can we wait?” They nod, understanding what I meant, we finish eating in peace. Nova sneaking her vegetables to Shelly. I shake my head, before showing her the trick of mashing her peas under her plate, then wiping them up with a napkin. Acting like I was wiping my face off on the dirty napkin. Nova giggles and following suit as Mingyu and Jamie chat with themselves. Pat and Dani, surprisingly enjoying their vegetables. After Nova finishes I sneakily throw her napkin away and wash her plate. I grab the rest of their plates, Jamie raises her eyebrows at me, “But you’re our guest-” “It’s the least I can do though, Jamie.” They roll their eyes at me, “Thank you” When no one is looking Nova and I high five, Jamie and Mingyu sending the kids off to bed. Jamie reads them a fairy tale, almost putting me to sleep, man they have a way with words. When Jamie closes the door behind me, I softly declare that Nova is my favorite. Mingyu disagrees saying Pat is the best, while Jamie rolls their eyes, telling us Dani is the best. “So you two do have favorites, I thought parents weren’t supposed to pick favorites.” They shake their heads, "You know we're kidding." I laugh, "Yeah, you did choose to adopt them and all." Before they both exchange a look at each other, “Nova listens to no one,...” Before, they look at me, “No wonder you get two get along,… Don’t teach her any sly moves now.” If only they knew, that I already did. “Wouldn’t dream of it” as we sit down on the couch and I cross my fingers. “You already have, haven’t you?” I shrug, “Maybe, maybe not”
They shake their heads, “Anyway, so what happened?” “Jaehyun asked me for a break, I should understand but, I don’t. Before he asked, he was never home if he was. It was early in the morning and then leave without a word, or not come home at all. Then for the first time in twelve years, he didn’t let me see him off at the airport. It was kind of a tradition--” Mingyu interrupts me, “How has he been texting you?” I pull out my phone, “Here, take a look” handing my phone over to both of them.
I put my hand over my face, not knowing what to feel. Shame? Sadness? Anger? None of the emotions seemed fitting, as they scroll through my texts. Jamie wraps their arms around me, cooing me, and telling me, “Oh honey,...” while Mingyu reads the rest of the texts. “Well, you’re allowed to stay here for as long as you need.” I nod, and thank them, “I’ll probably just stay for a week or two at most, and visit some of my relatives.”
A week later, and when the two of them leave for work. I’m babysitting the kids at the park telling them stories of their parents and me. They seem to like them, they get quiet and listen to me, and then we play little games together. I start to wonder why I never took time to at least adopt a kid, because these three are bundles of joy. I don’t understand parents who don’t see how children are full of life. Sure, when you have a headache, it's bad, but you have to fight through that to enjoy life anyway. Going to the park with them is always fun, which is where we are right now, well, we’re walking back home. Since their parents are home told me I comeback with the kids. I carry the three of them down the street to their house. Pat on my shoulders, Nova and Dani on either side of my hips.
I arrive home in a wonderful mood, we played hide and go seek and tag all day. Until finally resting on the swings. It was a fun-filled day when we arrive inside, they both run to Jamie and Mingyu. Mingyu picks up Dani and Pat into his arms while Nova clings to Jamie’s legs. Jamie laughs, ruffling Nova’s hair before bending down and kissing Nova’s forehead. And I say, “What am I chopped liver?” Mingyu and Jamie look over at me and laugh as the kids switch parents. I go over to the living room, when I hear Mingyu whisper, “Do not let them turn the channel to news, Jamie-.” Before the next thing I know, Jamie comes over to entertain me, and asks if I could do laundry. I raise my eyebrow, before heading over to the laundry room and with a shrug I do the laundry. I wonder why they don’t want me to watch the news? That’s a lot to unpack, and I’m not up for unpacking any more stuff this week. I finish just as dinner is served until I realize that my phone is not on me. I search for it before I see Pat playing games on it. I should have never told them my passwords because they drain my battery. Pat eats food as he plays with it, that kid is something else. Although I cannot say I’m any different because I do the same. The whole tv whisper slips my mind as I think about Jaehyun, and how much he would love to meet Nova, Pat, Dani. The last time we were here was before they adopted them. I shudder at the thought, it seems no matter where I go he invades my thoughts. I wonder if he thinks the same, or at least I hope he does.
Pat tugs on my sleeve to tell me my phone died, I sigh, as I finish my food, and put it into my pocket. Mingyu says he has the dishes tonight and Jamie puts on a movie on the TV. I throw my phone on my charger in my room. Pat sits on my lap as we all get comfy on the big couch. All of them are my favorite not just Nova, and Mingyu and Jamie feel the same way about their kids, they just like to joke. I can’t believe I’m a godparent to all three of them, and this is the first time I’ve met them. I feel so bad, I should have been here to see them grow up. I know Jamie and Mingyu got them when they were babies. Although they were originally planning on getting teenagers. The facility they went to had no teenagers, and all the kids were adopted, but the three new arrivals were babies. The two of them signed up for these three and went through the process. I didn’t get to see them as they grow up as much as I should have, as a godparent should. Have I just been ignoring everything but my life, have I become so selfish? Or am I just putting myself down because of Jaehyun?
Pat falls asleep on me, becoming dead weight, causing my legs to fall asleep, I start to feel tired as well. I get up with Pat and gesture I’m going to tuck both of us into our beds and sleep. Pat’s a sound sleeper luckily, as I tuck him in and wish him sweet dreams before tucking myself into my bed. I wake up in the middle of the night to check my phone. I see an article about Jaehyun and decide to read it tomorrow morning, I’m scoff and roll over falling back to sleep.
When I wake up again, it’s to the bright sunshine, because I forgot to close my curtains. I grumble about it, before opening my phone and looking at the news article. “Is Jaehyun Cheating on (Y/n)?” Just because we take a break doesn’t mean you have to go nut Dispatch. But go off I guess... I decided to read it nonetheless, and I can’t look away as it reveals more and more evidence. The stupidest one being we haven’t seen them together in months, well no really? He’s on tour what do you expect, not that we’re on a break or anything. After reading that first evidence, I just trash the article. Before I go to Korea Times if there is a real scandal they would have an article on it. My heart breaks as I read “What’s Up with Jung Jaehyun?”
It reads, “It seems that the world tour is not the only thing Jaehyun is busy with.” I continue to read; “Usually you can find his lover in the second row three seats in, for the second concert. We also see them exchange a hug and kiss before he takes off before the concert. Could they be taking a break? Or is it more than that?” It’s a picture of him with a woman, who I can’t seem to place. It’s probably a new manager,... until I scroll to the next picture and my heart shatters. It seems like they were trying to hide from the public eye as they kiss behind a tree.
That’s not-That can’t be-This isn’t happening-No, not to me. Please tell me my eyes deceive me and this is just a person faking to be Jaehyun for some publicity. Like that photo of Justin Bieber eating a burrito on a bench,... right? Wondering if that is Jaehyun kissing that woman. It is... as I keep scrolling seeing more and more pictures of the two. I chucked my phone into a stuffed animal, not being able to bear it anymore. I change into some running clothes, to burn off these frustrations and inner turmoils. I go downstairs to tell Jamie since it’s their day off that I’m going for a run and I’ll see them in an hour. They tell me to be safe and I promise I will, but at that moment it feels like a big fat lie.
The jeans he was wearing I put cute little heart patches on the knees. I used to tease him about how his knees always get cold. I made him a solution, that settled that it was Jaehyun in those pictures. I sprint faster, my tears flying off my face at this point. The audacity that man has, I look down at my left hand to still see our wedding ring still on my hand. I take it off and put it into my pocket, it seems he still owns my heart enough for me to not get rid of him completely. Maybe someday soon, I guess we’re history, and I can’t help but collapse to my knees in the forest I grew up wandering in.
I hum a tune to a song I used to know, “Distract my brain from the terrible news.” I say as I find an old pedestal covered in moss to sit on.

Jaehyun's POV
Staring at the patches that (Y/n) put into my blue jeans, makes me want to cry. I should have never started seeing her. Soo-hye looks over at me and tells me she likes my jeans. What I think is a mumble, “She patched these jeans that you like” she looks at me shrugging and cuddles into my side. It seems like none of the guys can look me in the eyes anymore because of this woman curled up next to me. I don’t blame them, I can barely look at myself in the mirror anymore without gagging in disgust. I push Soo-hye away from me, “I don’t wanna hug, I just want to sleep, okay?” She whines about it, and we go at it again and makes me want to just throw myself out the window afterward.
I curl up to her, my jeans lying somewhere near the door. What made me go this far? Why didn’t I stop? I have (Y/n) at home, I’ve loved them for 12 years is that not enough for me,... I guess it isn’t.
When I wake up, the morning light it blinds me, reminding me of (Y/n), I should just come clean to (Y/n). It would be better than running around their back right? Soo-hye’s head is tucked into my chest, this could be my real lover. I could be with (Y/n) right now, what is wrong with me. I shake my head smelling Soo-hye’s hair, it smells just like (Y/n)’s feet. It’s kind of weird to say that, but it’s so true. While (Y/n) always smells like buttercream sunsets, sometimes like a rainforest if they went out for a run. The worst smell (Y/n) ever had was on their feet, and I miss it so much. Everything about Soo-hye is just for the physical aspect, I don’t want her emotionally,... I’m using her and I feel bad for it, but it’s not as bad as how I’ve used (Y/n). They’re my everything, and here I am laying with someone I’m not emotionally attached to and having sex with them.
Johnny, my closest friend, can’t look me in the eyes. It hurts me to my very core, I’ve got to end this. I sigh before my resolve to end it would soon be broken again as she wakes up. Her eyes look beautiful in the morning, but the stars in her eyes are dull compared to the moon’s that shine in (Y/n)’s eyes.
I know why I started having an affair. (Y/n) was busy running their shop, it was the holiday season and I wanted to do was hold them in my arms at night. My heartfelt incredibly lonely, I had no one to satisfy my urges. Even if (Y/n) was home it was only for a few misley hours. They would be gone the next, I went on tour and they hugged and kissed me farewell. When I came back home it was Valentine’s day. Their shop was busy all week again, it’s good for business but not for our relationship. It was completely selfish for me to take up a relationship with Soo-hye. I should have never done it, I know it was wrong, but I’m so self-absorbed. I know for a fact if I looked at what was right in front of me. Was (Y/n) supporting me every step of my career and as much as I supported theirs, I just started to fall short,...
They’re probably better off without me anyway, I can’t believe this is the man I’ve become. I never thought I would cheat on them. But here I am, my arms wrapped around Soo-hye, she didn’t care that I was married. She told me I was cute and made me feel attractive again when I was beginning to think I was unlovable. Because (Y/n) certainly didn’t love me if they weren’t with me every minute, how fucking toxic I was,... I am. God, (Y/n) should divorce me, I’m not worth the heartache. I gotta figure this out because I’m not the man I used to be, and not the man I ever wanted to be.
---
That night, my thoughts lead to an argument with Soo-hye, my biggest mistake. I’ve had enough when I blurt out my true feelings, “You know what, fuck you, you do make me hard but (Y/n) makes my knees weak!” Full of anger, I’m so tired of this situation. She raises her chin, “It seemed earlier that I made your knees weak, but whatever you say, Jaehyun. I’ll see you next week and you know it.”
I fall to my knees as she gathers her clothes and shuts the door. I know she’s right, I know all of my members heard. The hotel rooms have thin walls, it can barely cover up the sounds of my crying into my couch cushion. I want to get better,...
I call my manager up to book me for group therapy when we get off of tour. I never thought I would be the kind of man, I grew up to hate as a kid. My mother raised me so much better... but here I am cheating on my best friend, my lover, my heart, my everything with a girl who doesn’t even matter to me. All that girl does is fuel my physical desires when I’m lonely when I’m tired of feeling. I want to get better, I can’t lead a life I never wanted to live. My fans must be disappointed in me, I can’t imagine how (Y/n) feels. They must be torn, I know the news is everywhere. I had my dream life and I became toxic and let it slip right through my fingers. I ruined my life, (Y/n)’s life and everyone in between. I’m not the man they married, I’m not Jung Jaehyun, I look in the mirror and see the shell of who I once was. I got to get better so I don’t hurt someone else, and I got to end this right. I know they’re anywhere but home. Especially after I told them I wanted a break. I should have just told them the truth. I cheated on perfection, and I’m left in this endless cycle of crying and cursing myself. Why did I have to do that? I could have just said no to Soo-hye’s validation and waited for my lover to come back home. Gotten over myself and lived the life I was living.
I hope once we divorce they can heal. They deserve someone who can treat them like royalty and nothing less than that. I wanna be anything but who I am, moss on a decaying pedestal would be better than who I am.
--
Sitting on the moss-covered pedestal, how am I going to face my friends, my godchildren, my parents, anyone. That’s why I was told not to look at the news, everyone knew and now knows. How did my life get to this point, I thought everything in my life was perfect. I guess when you glaze your eyes over the imperfections, you never notice the flaws. That there were signs our relationship was going downhill. We’ve had our ups and downs but it could not have been that bad,...
I sigh reminiscing about the forest instead of my dark thoughts. I remember when this pedestal was placed in this forest. Forcing myself into a better mood as I think about this pedestal. I was with my friend Minghao and were walking through the forest to go home when we saw it. Yes, we did take aesthetic photos together that I still have Polaroids of in a photo album. We stood on the pedestal posing and laughing at each other. I can’t believe it’s been that many years for it to be like this.
I guess over time things that you don’t take care of something it ends up in shambles. Whether it be with moss or unexplainable feelings. If I would have just taken care of the relationship with Jaehyun so it would be as strong as it was when we first married. I can’t claim him as my husband, he’s not the man I married. I’m probably not the same person I was when we married. But we matured a lot, sometimes you gotta hurt before you learn to heal. I still would like to talk to him about it, and finalize it. I’m not going to waste my breath on someone who no longer loves me. If he no longer loves me then I’ll move on. I’ll start over again, and maybe live my forever with someone who I care about.
--
Therapy is hell, it’s not my friend, but definitely my confinement. Jaehyun and I go to separate group therapy, sometimes I go to one-on-one’s depending on how I feel. It’s been a few months since we’ve divorced. Mingyu and Jamie were behind me every step of the way, my family joining in and helping me deal with the pain. I might miss him sometimes but does not mean I need him to function.
We talk occasionally, but more as people that know everything about you, but nothing at the same time. They know things about you wish you could erase, but they no longer know who you are now. Time heals all wounds, and therapy definitely helps, I’m better now, it tore me up for months. I didn’t dare talk to Jaehyun. It was about six months after the scandal, the reality, the truth came out. Before I was ready to deal with Jung Jaehyun, I moved into a new apartment. Rebuilding myself up from the bottom up, with a little help, a lot of help from my friends. I was me again, or the me I needed to be.
When I face Jaehyun it was on mutual terms, we agreed to end it after talking everything out. It was a long process of divorce, even though no longer happy with each other. We helped each other through every step of the way, crying on each other’s shoulders for hours. Because we never wanted to be like this. But here we were, and I know we’re happier now that we are no longer together.
--
It’s been a few years now, Jaehyun and I are still friends but that’s as far as it goes. I’ve found someone who I love with my whole heart, and they love me too. I spend hours on the phone with them, they have kids, and we care for them together. It’s the family I always wanted, Jaehyun has just recently entered the dating world again. I’m very proud of him, we’ve both come such a long way after everything. It’s never too late to start again, and we’ve become the kind of people our 4th grader selves would be proud of.
My shop is flourishing and Jeonghan runs the building. He is hopelessly in love with a guy who comes into the shop every day. The triplets are 1st graders now, Mingyu and Jamie are still in love, and going strong. Minghao is having kids and Johnny has started his solo career in Chicago and is making bank. We’re all happy, and that’s all of ever wanted to be, yeah it’s taken a long time to get there. I’m happy to be happy again, so if you get to the point where you find someone who loves you like how you love them. Keep them in your life, cherish them, don’t let them slip through your fingers.
Just because you have been with someone for a long time, whether you lost your virginity with them. Were high school sweethearts, or were just there for each other in the tough times. It does not mean you have to be with them forever. Not all relationships are meant to last, it’s okay to leave someone who you devoted a portion of your life too. Even if what your partner has done is not horribly wrong, you are allowed to walk away. It happens, no matter how long you are with them, you are allowed to leave them. Even if you’re married, you can divorce and move onto someone better. That treats you right, like the royal you are, never accept anything less. This goes for you too, you better treat your significant other like royalty unless they screw you over. Remember three strikes they’re out, and if they mess up royally once, it’s over.
