it feels sort of silly being surrounded by all this layclaire stuff while in the throes of an obsession with a completely different set of layton characters. i acknowledge the tenderness and tragedy of it all but i'm just not in the headspace to engage with it in any meaningful way lol

#melonposting #professor layton #sorry layclaires. believe me i'm one of you! i love them so much!#but (at least for the moment) my investment in the layton series is primarily through miracle mask #i should re-diversify my layton interests though #i don't only care about henry i swear :'D i'm just sick in the head right now #it would probably be good for me if i forced myself to stop thinking about him for a while #for your sake as well as mine (i personally think i *should* have my henry privileges revoked. at least temporarily)#among other things it just feels sort of disingenuous for me to say i love the whole series #when i only talk about an admittedly auxilliary part of it #granted i have talked about the rest of the series at length before. i've made tons and tons of analysis posts #but that was while i was in the process of immersing myself in the hyperfixation to begin with #and now that it's settled i'm thoroughly within the miracle mask side of things #which suggests that my default way of engaging with the series is through miracle mask #and that wouldn't be surprising considering how that was the first layton game i ever played!#but i dunno. i feel i'm doing the rest of the series a bit of a disservice by being so obsessed with henry gosh darn ledore lol
