It took our group approximately 9 hours to finish this difficult trek, but it had been worth the effort.  After trekking on two of their most popular paths in the state, it had been time for hike to Mawphlang by Lad Mawphlang. This intriguing route is approximately 18 to 20 km and it took our team 6 hours to reach Mawphlang. En route Mawphlang, we crossed several gushing flows, small villages and scenic valleys. While trekking through those terrains, one idea that came to my mind was how adventuresome we may be, however, what really attracts us to such areas is our profound connection with nature.

 The plan to visit Nagaland came up when I read about the renowned Hornbill Festival, which will be held every year in the month of December. This two-bedroom festival witnesses food fairs, sports events, festivals, vibrant performances and traditional crafts exhibition-cum-sale.
