regards to shadow and bone, this is EXACTLY why it took me so long to even watch the second season. Corporation will go ok ok you have to watch our shows and as fast as possible or we'll cancel them and so you go and do that and then they cancel them anyway. so after a certain point you just don't bother, even if it's something you'd genuinely be interested in, because you're thinking, okay, the pattern up to now is that they cancel shit within two seasons if it is at all less than their number one performer. so i'll just wait until there's stuff that's finished and watch that so i can enjoy a complete story without wasting my time. and then they're like we're cancelling this show because nobody is watching it villain! tha' hast created the situation!!! im gonna fucken kill you and then stop watching tv and you wont get any revenue from any shows how about that. how about that !! kill kill

anyway im genuinely a bit sad that im not going to see the "he's drowning and remembering inej's laugh on the rooftops" scene like i wanted to cause it wouldve been really good

#also it does make me wonder if that's the reason that they rushed wesper through and focused on some of the more tertiary characters #a lot in the second season #the writers/producers likely knew they were at risk of the netflix pattern & took the opportunity to throw some stuff in that wasn't book #just becuase they wouldn't get another one #which made for a slightly messy season. but i can understand the impetus #like if i want that drowning scene i can still go read the book #the season had some stuff that i wouldn't have gotten otherwise #if only they'd been able to create a full and cohesive story! but we'll never know #this is also why im so avoiding finishing wheel of time's second season #i'm going to get invested. and amazon will be like uh uh uh our billion dollar bottom line is suffering. no more siuan and moiraine for you #shadow & bone #six of crows
