#naruto#jiraiya#naruto uzumaki#emi#arc: search for tsunade#chapter 144#everyjiraiya#I guess this is what itachi meant when he said earlier in this chapter that everyone has a weakness...this is jiraiya's#my man! are you that girl-crazy that you'd forget all about your objective to hide naruto from akatsuki that quickly?#granted we later learn that itachi had placed a genjutsu on emi to lure jiraiya away#which jiraiya would discover and dispel#but even so...it takes him quite a while to come back as we see in the next few chapters#and by the time he does itachi will have already beaten and re-traumatized sasuke#if there was a tactical purpose underlying jiraiya's actions here i'm having difficulty seeing it
