He walked over to my bed and sat on it and patted on it which was his way of telling me to sit down. "Maybe you don't have to stay in here all the time" he seemed like he was getting somewhere but I was yet to follow. "What do you mean?" Was he gonna take me out this house or was I reading this wrong? "Its not much but maybe you could come to my room. There's tons of things to do in there. We just can't let Chan know I'm taking you out considering he wants you in the room." He fidgets a little wondering how I was going to respond to his offer.

Hell yeah I was gonna take this opportunity to leave the room! I had nothing else to do in the looney house. "Why not?" I shrug not wanting him to know just how excited I was. He grabs my head and leads me to his room all the way in the other side of the house.

My jaw dropped once he opened his room door to let me inside. He had arcade games like ddr, those ones when you race on the motorcycle, street fighter and pac man. He had a giant tv mounted on his wall in front of his bed and a wii console which I havent seen in years. "Told ya" he crossed his arms leaning against doorframe while admiring the dumb look of shock on my face.

"Where do we even start?" I was still looking around trying to pinpoint the first thing I wanted to do. "Doesn't matter where we start all you need to know is I'll kick your ass at any game in this room" his cockiness shines through, a side of him I haven't seen since I first met him.

What he didn't know was how competitive I can get "You're gonna be very disappointed when you realize how much you suck compared to me, especially when I beat you in dance revolution" It was on now. I can see a gleam in his eyes and knew he was almost if not just as competitive as I am.

Twelve rounds, six wins , and six loses later. We decided to watch a movie. "How's it feel to loose to someone as amazing as I?" I stood on his bed placing my hand on my hips. I'm sure he's yet to meet someone as dramatic as me. "We both won and lost the same amount of time so I'd say we're equally as amazing if you ask me" hes right about that but this his room and his games that he plays all the time if he didn’t win then it would be embarrassing. Hyunjin pulls my right leg causing me to fall on his bed. "You asshole!" My body had no control over itself. It was bouncing up and down on its own and I couldn't even stop it.

"You were to one who wanted to watch a movie and you can't even sit still" Hyunjin teases while I finally get myself together and sit up all the way in the bed. "Plus you weren't calling me a asshole when I took you out of your room." I gasped while holding my chest. "Oh how dare you?" I squinted my eyes at him and he laughed at me.

I must admit I haven't felt this good in a few days. I almost forgot that I was being held against my will but the thought is always in the back of my mind. I finally settle down and Hyunjin was nice enough to let me choose the movie I wanted. So here we were, on the bed watching a movie. For comfort I lay my head on his shoulder and her wraps his wraps around me.

I felt relaxed and almost safe. Soon I fell asleep with the movie playing in the background. Hyunjin was staying still trying not to wake me up. In fact so still that he ended up falling asleep himself.

I just needed to wake up on time before Chris realizes that I'm gone.

its your favorite anon again, newbie! i was watching chan and felix’s kid room episodes where they doing that soulmate thing by asking the anonymous questions. and on chan’s episode i found something interesting and i have a little theory for. so he had an inkling that Number 5 was felix, which it was, idk if he just knows felix super well or if just is a good guesser but anyhoo i noticed that at the beginning he was shuffling his question cards because he said the order was important. so follow me here: he prepared his questions a certain way because he wanted a certain someone to answer them 😏..so my guess is his thought process mightve been that he would listen to each answer from the other kids until he felt like he could recognize his beloved felix and when he does he chooses 5 for multiple rounds. i think he was trying not to be too obvious about his bias lol but im sure he had his mind set for the most part haha. also you’ll notice his questions were very…pointed? to be fair felix’s were as well but he just loves skinship anyways. i thought maybe chan’s questions were more telling of chanlix that he wanted to hear felix basically confess openly. not that he doesnt know things im sure (if we believe theyre a couple), but more because he does like to have love reciprocated publicly. hence why his questions when felix was there included “when did you fall in love with my handsome looks?” and his last off the cuff question was like “when did i look the best on stage” LOL he was phishing for compliments from felix (and the others haha). felix isnt as forthcoming with PDA towards chan out of shyness but throughtout he had the tiniest smile almost subconsciously because despite how he acts, the heart that thinks of chan is quite big. ☺️

Thanks for sharing your thought process! I don't think I thought about Chan's ordering of questions or to bait Felix in confessing something lovey-dovey (you may or may not see it in the analysis video depending on what I already cut and imported).

I'll add to your thoughts about Chan clearly making way for Felix to win... on my second watch, it seemed like Felix was eliminating and clearing the board for Chan to go further in the game as well. Felix seemed to like a lot of the other members' answers more than Chan's at some of the rounds but still eliminated them. And then Felix rightfully eliminated Chan on the last round since there's no way Felix enjoys the physical affection of a pat on the head compared to being hugged from behind, but I don't know what safe answer Chan could have used ON-CAMERA to beat Han's. Felix at the end says he had no idea who-was-who... but who knows if he was fibbing.

Noona, Can’t we be more than friends? PT. 1

HAN JISUNG AU  / Fluff?

(this is my first one shot don’t hurt me)

“Noona” you can hear Jisung from across the room but don’t bother to look up. 

“Noona~” he says with a little whine added to get your attention, he knows you can never say no when he does. You decide to look up at him but he seems to be looking down drawing something on a piece of paper.

“Why call my name if you have nothing to show” you roll your eyes and start looking down at your own book. 

You are currently at lunch hanging out with your best friend, Han Jisung. You have known him since you were 5yrs old and he was 4. Nothing has ever came in between you guys and go everywhere together people always say you guys are dating. But that’s not the case here, you guys are just best friends you cant think anything other wise, He has just been someone you could rely on.

“Look Here! You wont hate it, i swear” He says as he puts the paper to his chest with his left hand and raises his right to the air. You can hear him giggle a little bit to himself and you cant help yourself but smile.

You look up to see what he drew, and to your surprise it was blank.

“so what am i supposed to be looking at?” you ask puzzled.

“Oh! oops wrong way” he laughs to himself and turns the paper facing the correct direction. 

It was a beautiful drawing of a Rose, it was red with a hint or a dark maroon. You were always amazed at how good Jisung was at Drawing and how fast he could do it as well. Meanwhile you love reading romance books and wouldn’t have it any other way.

The bell rings signaling the end of lunch and its time to get ready for class. You sit through the rest of the school day wondering what Jisung and yourself were going to do.

The end bell rand and everyone was getting ready to leave.

“So what are we doing today? Arcade, karaoke, all you can eat buffet?” jisung asks while packing his books in his bag.

“Can we tag along?” you hear Hyunjin ask while holding on to Chan and Seungmin. 

“Sure! the more the merrier” you respond. “I think today we might go to the arcade and then to grab dinner, lets head home and get ready and we can meet around 5. sound good?”

Everyone nodded their heads in unison. You grab your bag to start heading out and you can hear Jisung leaving with his friends out the door. There was something about today, Han seemed different, was it the way he was calling you noona? you couldn't help thinking to yourself and it was bothering you but what was this feeling you keep having. You decided to brush it off and blame it on the book you were reading.

It was 4:45pm you were wearing dark blue skinny jeans with a black crop top and white lifted shoes. You wore your hair down completely straightened parted down the middle and with very light makeup.

“I think im all set” you say as you check yourself through your mirror.

“Ill be back, im going to hang out with Jisung and some friends”, you yell out the door heading towards M Arcade. 

You arrive to the arcade and see your group of friends standing out front. Jisung stands out from the all. He is wearing Black and white skinny jeans with a big black over-sized shirt tucked in from the front and a black cap. Jisung looks up at you and you both make eye contact. he couldn't help but blush at the sight of you, but you do the same. You both look away from each other.The guys cant help but laugh at the situation and you glare at them.

“Lets go inside before the arcade closes, and don’t forget we still have to go eat” Jisung says half way through the door.

“So whats going on between the two of you?” Seungmin asks with a smirk.

You hit him with your elbow as you walk inside brushing off his little question.

You guys decide to play a round of bowling and couldn't help noticing that Jisung Was Watching you the first few rounds. It made you so nervous you kept getting the ball in the gutter and everyone was laughing at you. It was finally Jisungs turn again and you decided to get back at him. You got up and walked to the little air socket where you dried your hands if they started sweating. You kept and eye on him and as soon as you saw him let go of the ball you called his name.

“Jisung-ah! look!” you say as surprised as possible.

He slightly moved his hand the and the ball ended up going towards the gutter

“Noona, you made me miss this strike i was about to get” he says as he turns around to look at you while crossing his arms across his chest.

“sorry, but like this air feels amazing on your hands and i wanted you to try it. Maybe it would help you stop starring at me, not like it has anything to do with it.”

Han looked at you confused but intrigued at the fact that him starring was bothering you. He started to smirk and he made eye contact with you.and wouldn't break it. You didn't want to back down so you kept that eye contact until you heard someone in the background.

“Excuse dear love birds but we would like to keep the game going” Chan said from the back. His little statement making both of you guys nervous and looking away. But that didn't mean Jisung was going to stop anytime soon.

The game went on for a couple more rounds and you and Jisung kept trying to distract each other from making a strike from calling out each others name to slowly to using the snacks you ordered. The game finally came to an end and Seungmin took first then Chan, yourself and jisung lost to you by a point.

“ I tried so hard and this is what i get, i lose by a point” Jisung was pouting and looking your way trying to get pity from you. But you should laugh at him since it was his fault it all came down to this.

You guys decide to head to the arcade part of it all and play a couple games you both decide to compete against each other at basketball.

“Bet you cant beat me” Jisung says while looking at you.

“Bet $20 dollars i can” you respond with a smile.

“Lets make this a little more interesting and whoever loses has to do whatever the other person wants” Jisung says with a smirk.

You don’t know what Jisung is thinking but you couldn’t back down now that something even bigger was thrown on the table making things more interesting. something in you knew what was about to happen but that wasn’t going to stop you.

“Deal, loser has to do whatever the other person says” you agree to his terms and shake hands. 

Both of you guys were so focused on each other you forgot about Chan and Seungmin tagging along, but they didnt mind at all since they wanted to finally get you guys together.

the basketball game started, Jisung was making in shot after shot while you were making every other one. you Knew you didn't want to lose because having Jisung do whatever you wanted Was Something you never thought of but liked the idea. Yet Jisung was trying his best to win but Why? What are his motives?

You lost by three points and Jisung was cheering in the Corner happy at the thought of winning and then you notice him look at you his eyes so mysterious making you wonder what Jisung had in store for you.

This was a side of him you have never seen before but something about it intrigued you to find out more. Which made you think to yourself do I like him?

“ Hey, are you okay? does it hurt to lose?” you can feel Jisung teasing you wanting to rile you up.

“Don’t worry I wont do anything to embarrass you I promise” He says as he walks up to you.

He kept walking closer until his face was an inch away from yours, both of you guys making eye contact not breaking away from each other. You could feel your heart beating faster and faster. Not knowing what this feeling was but intrigues by the fact you could be in love with your best friend.

“Are you ready for whats going to happen next?” jisung asks while a big smirk comes across his face.

Chapter 1

You really didn’t plan on signing up for a rapping contest, let alone a JYP one. You were just on a vacation in South Korea again; but this time you were here to help a friend move in and get settled. She seemed excited by the idea of studying abroad, and of course, who better to help her know her way around than you, who went to Korea before?

You tried explaining to her that a week trip didn’t automatically make you an experienced traveller, but she dragged you regardless.

It all came down to the flyers and commercials that had been buzzing around town.

“You should totally join!!” she squealed, pulling a flyer off from lord knows where. You shake your head.

“No way, I’m not even that good!” you snort. But she shook her head adamantly.

“You’re the only person I know who can rap Jisung’s part in District 9, and that takes skill, so you have to!”

You sigh, walking a bit faster. The only issue was that she pestered you for days, and finally you took the flyer from her hands.

“Okay, okay! I’ll go to this stupid competition,” 

It couldn’t hurt could it? You’d probably be eliminated in the first round anyways.

Except you weren’t.

You somehow breezed through the first five rounds, shocking both your friend and judges.

“We’re amazed by the speed and clarity of your voice! Have you considered auditioning for JYP entertainment in general?” one woman asked. You shook your head.

“Ahhh I could never! Auditioning is for really talented people… I’m not really talented,” you explained, standing there awkwardly.

“Ah, a modest girl. That is a trait all idols have,” another judge winked. You blushed, flustered at the comments. Of course, you were no exception to constructive criticism, and they gave you pointers on what to work on. Your friend booed from the crowd, eliciting a smile from you. Of course you were perfect in her eyes.

Either way, you thanked the judges silently. But really, you had no intention of winning. You just thought about showing what you liked, which was rapping in your own free time. You were sure that someone would take your crown. Someone more passionate and technical than you.

But it never happened.

You didn’t remember much when you won. It all became a blur. Confetti fell from the sky and you were looking around to comprehend what was going on.

“Congratulations!” a muffled voice said from behind. It was the host, and you bowed.

You remembered 3RACHA, your judges, join you at the stage. Your knees felt weak when you saw Jisung. He looked as perfect as ever. But for some reason, he seemed to have a stern face. You shook it off, because this was a show right? He has to be professional which is understandable. But then… why was Chan and Changbin so nice?

Hmm, that you could worry about later.

The last thing you remembered was passing out on your friend’s couch, thoroughly exhausted from the exciting performance you threw on for them. The adrenaline still pumped through your veins, and you couldn’t fight off your grin.

You were actually getting a chance to work with Stray Kids, with 3RACHA, and most of all, Jisung.

It’s a shame though, isn’t it? How things aren’t always what they seem...

Lost in a Cornmaze With Jisung

When you woke up that cold Saturday morning to a text from your friends inviting you to a corn maze, you were excited. Fall may not have been your favorite season, but you couldn’t deny that place in your heart for oversized sweaters, pumpkin spice, scented candles, and fallen leaves. That said, there was not a place in your heart for abandonment.

Upon arriving at the makeshift parking lot of the maze, you make the observation that there was no one there. Besides your vehicle and your friend’s mini van, the only other cars were a couple of expensive-looking black Sedans. The lack of people surprised you; this place was all over the typical white-girl’s instagram page.

“Hey, Y/N!” Your friend Karen greeted, leading the rest of the group to the entrance of the maze. You jogged to catch up with them, an excited smile on your face.

“Ready to have fun?” Another friend, Annika asked. You grinned.

“As ready as I’ll ever be!” With those words, your group of five made your way into the maze. As time passed, your group became three, and then suddenly one. The group split due to a stupid disagreement between your friends Ariel, who insisted you go right since that was her “lucky” direction, and Karen, who was having none of that after the sixty-seventh turn. Not that you were counting. You were sick of the bickering, and instead of going against your fear of confrontation, you went off ahead of the group until you couldn’t hear the argument anymore. After taking some breaths to calm down, and a few sips from your half-exhausted water bottle, you decided it was time to head back. But there was one problem. You couldn’t find your friends.

You tried to calm your anxiety. Being alone in an unknown place was not something that brought you happiness in any way. Seeing that you only had a whopping 16% battery life left didn’t help your situation at all. You began to wander, hoping you could find your way back by yourself. Having no signal anyway, you put your phone on airplane mode and stuffed it in your pocket. You were sure you’d need the flashlight at some point, so you had to preserve the small amount of battery you had left. You silently cursed yourself for not charging your phone before you left the house. You walked for a solid fifteen minutes, not hearing a single sound other than the corn stalks rustling in the wind. How big is this place, you wondered. It’d been over an hour since you lost your group, and if you were honest with yourself, you thought you would have found them by now.

“This maze sucks!” You sulked, kicking the corn to your left. Though you felt less stupid when you came across a porta potty in the maze. Clearly, this must happen a lot if the owners had to put a bathroom in there. You continued to walk by yourself, thinking of a strategy to get out when you remembered the other cars. There were more people in there, unless they already got out and left. You shook the negative thought out of your head, convincing yourself that they had to be in there with you somewhere. The cars looked expensive, and expensive cars meant rich people. Rich people meant fancy phones, and with a smile, you came to the conclusion that fancy phones had service. All you had to do was find one of those rich people, and you could use their phone to call your friends. You sped up, hopeful. Your plan was foolproof! Although, in reality, the only accuracy in that sentence was ‘fool’. You couldn’t even find your friends, what made you think you’d find anyone else?

Lost in thought, you didn’t hear the footsteps approaching you until they were almost rounding the corner. You paused, your heart rate suddenly picking up. You thought you were going crazy at this point. You’d been lost for two hole hours and you were almost out of water. A male voice sounded over the footsteps, recognizing the language immediately as Korean. You’d never heard it in person, only ever on youtube and in all the kpop songs you listened to, but you could distinguish it immediately.

“Hello?” The voice called, the english words echoing throughout the silence. Hesitantly, you repeated his call.

Earlier that morning, Jisung woke up to chaos. All eight of his members were crowding his bed, throwing themselves at him and laughing joyously. Seungmin shoved a piece of paper in his hands and it took him a moment before he could actually comprehend what it said. The nine of them would be going to a corn maze while in America for an episode of The 9th. He was excited to say the least. He needed the break from everything. Don’t get him wrong, he loved his life, but he needed a break from all the chaos being an idol brought.

Each line was given a camera to share between the three of them. Whichever group made it out first would win a prize of sorts. They weren’t allowed to know what that prize was until the end, though, they knew it was something big. That brought out the competitive side of all the members, each determined to win. The moment they were given the go, Chan grabbed Changbin from his conversation with Hyunjin and Felix by his arm and dragged him into the maze at sonic speed, assuming Jisung was right behind them. He was not. No worries, he thought, I can do this on my own. He chuckled at the thought of his friends arriving at the finish line first, but losing because he wasn’t with them.

Jisung had been wandering for a while, with slightly more success than you. He almost caught up with the vocal line, but Seungmin was blasting Day6 so loud that Jisung’s calls never reached them. He never regretted leaving his phone behind more than he did at that moment. His luck changed suddenly at the sound of footsteps. He raced toward the sound, calling for help in his native tongue before coming upon the realization that he was in America, and statistically, the person he was chasing did not speak Korean. Not a problem for our multilingual prince. He called out in English, finally receiving a response. Rounding the corner he came face to face with a terrified you.

You weren’t terrified, you were surprised. Right in front of you was a face that you had plastered on your bedroom wall. A face that you watch constantly on youtube and vlive. Han Jisung, a member of your favorite kpop boy group, Stray Kids, was stood right in front of you. You even made a remind account that morning, to remind all your friends to vote for Stray Kids on mnet. But you couldn’t freak out. No matter how excited you were, Jisung was your only way out of this place.

“Hey, I’m Y/N. Is there any chance you saw a group of dumb ass girls all shorter than me?” You asked, hopeful. He shook his head, a sorry smile on his thin lips.

“Nice to meet you, Y/N. I’m Jisung. Any chance you’ve seen a group of dumbass boys pretty much all taller than me?” You took a deep breath. The rest of Stray Kids were there, too! But that doesn’t help that you were both lost, although now you had a companion. It’s awkwardly silent for too long before Jisung breaks it suddenly.

“Hey, so my friends and I are doing this video where we’re competing as teams to get out of the maze-” He started, you interrupted with a laugh.

“So, you’re losing?”

“Well, yeah, but not for long.” he replied, leaving you a bit confused. “There’s no way my friends will win. They’ve got, at most, six brain cells between the two of them and the older one has most of them.” You want to ask which of the members he was teamed with. They never had specific groups they’d team with in any of their The 9th episodes. “Anyway, even if they did get out first, they can’t win without me.” You say nothing, still confused as to why he was telling you this story, not that you didn’t want him to tell you. If you were honest, you would listen to him talk about a garbage can all day and never complain.

“What are you getting at?” You asked.

“Well, why don’t we become a team and win the prize instead?” He suggested. You didn’t really have to think about it. His proposal wasn’t something you could say no to. You would escape the maze an idol, albeit an idol that didn’t know you knew he was an idol, and you could make your friends jealous. It was an easy yes. You nod, determined.

“I think we’ll make a great team, Jisung. Let’s get out of here!” Suddenly both of you had so much energy, sprinting off in the same direction. Jisung decided the best plan would be to “become the maze”. The two of you began trudging through the corn walls, avoiding the actual paths. The two of you chat to pass the time, asking each other questions and talking about your hobbies.

“Oh, you rap?” You ask, you know, like a liar; as if you didn’t bump to Matryoshka on the daily. You tell him about your classes, advising he never take AP Physics, not that he would ever have to. The two of you opted to playing other games like two truths and a lie, but facts version. You had to feign innocents when you guessed facts correct, insisting you were just a great listener. At this point, you were having so much fun that you completely forgot the revenge plan, laughing and joking together like you’d been friends forever. It wasn’t until you pushed through the last wall of that stupid maze that you remembered.

“Why’d you leave me?” You shout angrily. All four of your friends were waiting at the entrance of the maze, remorseful expressions covering their faces. The audacity.

“Y/N, we thought you died-” Karen shushed your friend Ariel.

“Oh, gosh! We’re so sorry. Once we realized you were gone it was too late.” You wanted to roll your eyes at her. “We figured it was our best bet to come up with a meeting place outside of the maze, but then you didn’t show, and our calls weren’t going through-”

“It’s okay, guys. I mean it really hurt my feelings, but we can talk about that later. Meet my new friend!” Jisung, who has an impeccable sense of timing, pops out from behind you with a cute squirrel-like smile. You’re completely prepared to rub him in their faces, but they aren’t even fazed. Annika smiled, a small yeah-about-that smile that made your heart drop. Before you could question her though, a shout resignated from behind you. A group of boys, easily recognizable as Stray Kids themselves, come running out of the main building. Jisung huffs at the sight of them, but you’re frozen in your place, shocked to your core.

Woojin is the first to make it to your group. He started to apologize profusely and you were proud that you at least could grasp that. When Jisung started to respond, you turned towards the rest of the group as the began to surround him. You’re mouth hung open at the sight of your bias, sweet and soft, right in front of your face.

“Oh my g- it’s Felix Lee!” You shouted before you could stop yourself. Felix is caught by surprise, mumbling a shy hello, but before you could get anything else out Jisung’s hurt face appears in front of Felix, having put two and two together.

“You knew who I was the entire time, but didn’t say anything?” He asked, a prominent frown etched on his face. He knew Felix was more popular than him, but did you just not like him or something? Why hadn’t you reacted that way to him?

“I just didn’t want to sound like a creep and you’re just really cool.” You tried to explain. “I don’t know. I just didn’t want to make you uncomfortable. I’m sorry.” Jisung couldn’t help but appreciate that. His smile was so wide, but it dropped when he realized something.

“So you cheated in Two Truths, One Lie?” He practically yelled.

“It wasn’t cheating!” You insisted. “You really do have a Virgo vibe!”

For the next hour your two groups interact as much as you can. There was a lot of translating and confusion, but by the time you had to go home it felt like communicating got much easier, and you scored at least twenty photos with the group.

It came time to say goodbye and suddenly the atmosphere became somber and cold. You didn’t want to say goodbye to Jisung. You avoided it the best you could, saving his goodbye for last. After having a borderline mental breakdown in front of Felix, telling him how pretty he was with his freckles, how he shouldn’t let anyone edit his beautiful skin, and how proud of him you were for graduating early and not being afraid to cry, it was Jisung’s turn. You frowned at him, not ready for this.

“Don’t be sad!” He said, pulling you in for a hug. He was sad too, but he wouldn’t admit that to anybody. He gave you a tight squeeze, leaning back to smile at you. “Today was really fun, even if I did get totally abandoned-” Changbin shrieked in protest behind you causing Jisung to laugh. “Anyway, even if we were lost in a corn maze, I’m glad it was with you.” He let go of the hug with one last smile before walking away with the rest of Stray Kids. When he was out of earshot, you finally could breath, letting out a loud, strangled shout of excitement. Your friends laugh at you as you all make your way to your cars as well. It isn’t until you sit in the driver seat that you feel something in your pocket.

Pulling out a small piece of paper, your eyebrow furrowed. On the piece of paper, scrawled in messy pen, was a simple tumblr URL and a smiley face. Your jaw dropped, eyes ogling the paper. All this time you thought it was Chan sneaking around the interwebs of Tumblr, but it was that sneaky snake Jisung all along. As much as you wanted to go home, you couldn’t. Before retreating to your car, your friends had made dinner plans. You were to meet them at your favorite pizza place as an apology for abandoning you. As thankful as you were, you wanted nothing more to get home and search up the URL. You couldn’t believe it. The fact that it was Jisung this whole time boggled your mind.

Finally, around ten o’clock PM, you opened the door to your home. You ran up the stairs to your room, skipping two steps at a time. Yanking your laptop open, you impatiently typed in your password and watched as Stray Kids popped up on your screen. You chuckled at the irony, clicking the Google Chrome icon before going straight to Tumblr and typing in the URL Jisung gave you. You couldn’t help but snoop around his Minho blog for awhile before clicking the message button.

“Heyy, I’m Y/N. Is there any chance you’ve seen a smol squirrel rapper boy with a secret tumblr, is there?” You typed, a smile on your face. His response came faster than you thought.

“Nope, sorry, but have you seen a cute anxious girl that got abandoned by her friends around here?” Your eyes widened at his words. Cute? You squealed, rolling around on the floor before getting up, taking a deep breath and typing back a response.

That corn maze debacle actually resulted in something amazing: the start of a beautiful friendship accompanied by memes, eventual late night facetimes, group hangouts whenever he was in town, and maybe a little bit more than just friendship. All you knew was that that night was the best thing to ever happen to you, and little did you know, Jisung felt the same.

First date with Stray Kids

��it’s not a reaction but anyways I hope you enjoy it,,, I wasn’t really sure how to make it into a reaction kinda thing😅

Bang Chan: his studio

Originally, the plan was that he’d meet you at jype and he’d show you around where he worked, which you did do for the first part of the date. He was so cute and his interactions with his seniors were adorable. When they asked who you were he replied with “ah this is my soon to be lover, y/n” which made them all extremely awkward and walk off leaving him to laugh with you.

After he showed you around, you stepped outside to say goodbye but it was raining and he knew you had to catch the bus even if the nearest bus stop was about a mile away. So instead he took you to the dorms which were a lot closer. Since it was raining, he threw his jacket over your shoulders which buried you but at least you were dry. When you got there he took you to his and Changbin’s shared room which was full of other music related stuff as expected.

He sat you down on his bed and began to show you the song making process. You seemed so interested in what he was saying he couldn’t help but ask if you wanted a go.

He sat watching you, amazed at your natural talent. He couldn’t help but kiss your cheek as you worked. You were definitely the one for him and he couldn’t wait to write songs about you and your beauty and what you do to him.

“With you here I’m gonna get a song done in 6 minutes”

Woojin: walking in the park

Woojin turned up for your date calm as anything, you’d never suspect that he was actually so panicked at home to the point where he almost made himself sick. He spent the whole morning planning the route and the snacks he was going to take. Luckily he knew you well enough to know your likes and dislikes.

When he arrived he was dressed in a casual shirt, jeans and white sneakers. This was his 64th outfit before chan got annoyed and dressed him but you of course had the same problem, asking all your closest friends what they thought of your outfits until you found one they all agree on. He wanted to look his best for you and you wanted to look your best for him. He hugged you and he smelt so gooooood (take notes smellies @ my school) but it wasn’t overpowering. You could smell mint, he definitely cleaned his teeth before he left and mouthwashed so you jokingly asked for a snack since you know that they’d taste horrible to him. But he gave you them, all of them, the whole bloody selection so you could pick.

As you walked he wouldn’t hold your hand, too afraid of you refusing or feeling awkward. When the date ended however, you stopped outside a fountain and he asked you to turn around to look at him. As he did so he grabbed both your hands in his and interlocked your fingers.

“I really enjoyed today, we definitely need to do it again” he said with a shy smile.

Lee Know: bowling

As soon as you agreed to go, you realised that Minho would probably be a sore loser after watching certain bits of footage. And it was true, he really was.

You decided to play 3 rounds, mainly so you could spend more time together. Minho tried his damn hardest to let you win at least 1 but he just couldn’t help but win. His “emotions” obviously got the better of him. If you ever got a strike he’d try to be happy and shout with you but inside he was bitter and working out how he would be able to get ahead of you.

When he did win surprise surprise he picked you up and spun you around. He obviously rubbed it in your face as much as he could over the burger you grabbed.

“But I helped Minho, without me you wouldn’t have had anyone to win against p. And anyway I didn’t lose, I actually came 2nd” you retorted which was able to get a laugh out of Minho.

To him you were the funniest person ever and he appreciated that you both had the same sense of humour. You were also the cutest thing ever with your giant burger.

“Bold of you to get a burger on a first date” he pointed out.

You ate the burger extra messily afterwards, just to get back at him, but honestly he didn’t care. To see you having fun... that’s what he cared about.

“I won which means I need a prize, how about a kiss before I go y/n??? And maybe another date?”

Changbin: Netflix at home

He set up the film on the tv, one you’d wanted to watch for so long but not wanted to watch alone... a horror movie. Changbin has watched it before but he didn’t mind watching it again, it was with you so he’d watch anything. When you arrived he slid across the laminate floor in his socks to the door and let you in, explaining that the members went out but in reality he kicked them out so they wouldn’t “cramp his style.”

He let you sit down on the couch and handed you a bowl of popcorn then plopped himself next to you with his already half eaten bowl of popcorn in his hand.

The film soon started becoming scary but you weren’t really afraid. Changbin was kinda sad that you weren’t looking at him for support. He wanted to hold you and protect you like in the movies. He took this opportunity however to scare you. You sat forward getting more into the film when the poked your side. The popcorn flew out of your hand and you let out a scream while Changbin sat silent laughing, clapping like a seal.

“Ya why would you do that bin?”

“I mean that’s the most I’ve been able to touch you all night, cmon y/n lie on my chest and put your arms around me already”

Hyunjin: paint balling

It was both of your first times paint balling but you’d heard all about it from your friends. They all seemed to enjoy it so why not? You and Hyunjin were thankfully on the same team to begin with but you soon wanted to change when Hyunjin started to tease you about how big your camo suit was on you.

“What? It looks cute y/n” he confessed trying to keep down his laugh.

The games began and you were both pretty bad at first but you soon got into it. Your team ended up winning but that definitely wasn’t because of you and Hyunjin. He accidentally shot you at one point thinking you were an opponent but then surrendered just so you could both be out together.

After paint balling you headed home. About half way there Hyunjin gingerly went to hold your hand. You looked over at him as he did so to catch him staring at your face. It made you pretty conscious so you started to touch your face with your other hand wondering if you had paint on it or something.

“Don’t worry y/n your face is perfect. But your helmet hair...”

Han: amusement park

You knew Jisung hated rides but it was his idea and you questioned him and he still went along with it so wth? He paid for you ticket and grabbed your hand straight away. He often saw other guys checking you out so his grip would sometimes tighten but you didn’t mind.

When he spotted the pirate shit he dragged you the complete other way which took you to one of the biggest rollercoasters in the park. He looked up in fear and you knew it was your turn to tighten your grip on his hand.

You both made your way up the steps and to the end on the line where you waited for hours, Jisung’s face getting paler and paler.

“We don’t have to go on if you don’t want to Jisung” you told him but he wanted to prove himself so when it was your turn to get on, he took you to sit right at the front.

You also sat nervously, both shaking as the countdown started, still holding hands tightly.

When you got off Jisung was green and so were you. You laughed at each other’s fear and went to grab a bottle of water from one of the take away places on the park.

After, you both felt much better and decided to hit up the laser ride. You had so much fun on that one, it was far less... violent... and gave you two time to find out a lot more about each other.

“Next time let’s just stay at home and relax or something”

Felix: karaoke

You met outside the karaoke place where of course he complimented you multiple times which put you at ease a little. He paid for the pair of you to go into a booth while you went and got two drinks from the vending machine. He later paid you back for the drink too which he thought was 100% the right thing to do because he’s sweet like that.

Admittedly, you were both apprehensive to sing in front of each other with the pressure of a microphone. You heard felix’s voice often since you obviously loved stray kids but he still wanted to do his best in front of you. Soon you both felt relaxed around each other and started messing about, not caring about the shame or embarrassment afterwards. It was the most fun you’d both had in a while and you were both thankful to the other for that.

You then sat down to drink together but it’s felix so you wouldn’t be able even to do this without him tipping your bottle back while you drank making too much come out and choking you. You hit him in return and he laughed, grabbing his arm as if in fake pain. After the laughing had blown over, you were now just looking at each other, staring into each other’s eyes. Felix edged closer to you, soon planting a small kiss onto your lips.

“You are already making my time here on earth better, earthling”

Seungmin: mini golf

Seungmin and you were having so much fun! Everyone could see how much fun you were having by the huge smiles on your faces. Everyone could also see how perfect you were together. Whenever you potted the ball, you cheered and celebrated and honestly this was the best thing that Seungmin had ever laid his eyes on.

There was one really hard hole. You just didn’t seem to have the accuracy and reaction time so naturally you started to get lightly annoyed. (It was a stressful time we all understand.) Seungmin could see you were getting kinda stressed so he decided to help you and took the shot for you, getting it in in one go and yet still not rubbing it in your face.

After the actual mini golf, which he let you win, you guys grabbed some food. He insisted that he paid for it but you couldn’t let him do that after letting you win at such high stakes so you went halves which satisfied you both eventually. He was happy that you felt comfortable enough in front of him to eat and to stand up for yourself. He thought it was really cute of you to do that and he wasn’t afraid to tell you how cute you were either.

“Aw y/n stop throwing a tantrum, I’ll do it for you... baby”

I.N: shopping

Fashion icon Yang Jeongin was slightly intimidated by the thought of going shopping with you. What if you didn’t like the clothes he picked out? You were probably gonna laugh at him, he thought.

In fact you didn’t the complete opposite. It was amazing how he managed to create an outfit with anything. You let him pick an outfit for you and told you to try it on in the changing rooms. He sat and waited for you outside the changing rooms with all yours and his bags, super excited to see you. When you walked out, he was so shocked at how good it looked.

“You look amazing, you really pull it off well” he mumbled making you giggle.

He wanted to tell you how he really saw you, beautiful, gorgeous, stunning, but the words just wouldn’t come out. He was annoyed at himself and stayed annoyed until he’d walked you all the way home.

Now outside your door he told you how he felt. You invited him inside since your parents weren’t home but he had to get home quickly since he was really tired.

That night he text you:

“Had a really good day today y/n, lets do it again tomorrow... and the day after... and the day after that hehe”

Summary: This was a warzone. Survival outside of the districts were practically impossible without the proper technology. After losing your first team, you gave up hope that you’d ever survive after bombs started going off in your district, but here you are in District 9. All hope was lost, all hope had been lost, at least until you met him.

“Can’t take anymore?!” The spark cackles in front of your face, “You sure you aren’t going to budge?!”

You grit your teeth, already bloody, “Eat shit.” you manage to say before you cough up blood.

“Park Jinyoung isn’t going to this much trouble to protect you, why should you?!” You get punched across the face, “Last offer, princess. Tell me your first infiltration mission in District 9!” you’re hit with another punch.

You bow your head, your stone cold gaze planted on the floor. You and your kind may have done terrible things for their Districts but one thing soldiers weren’t was disloyal, “Better kill me now, while I’m still stuck in my restraints.” you grin up at the figure that had been torturing you for the past day.

A gun is held up a few inches away from your face. You stare straight at where the bullet would come out. You feel your chin tremble, but you clench your teeth, keeping it from shaking, and then you hear the sound go off, but you don’t feel anything, all you see is a piece of fabric attached to a stick coming out of the gun with ‘Bang!’ in bold print. The lights are turned on and you inatantlynsee Park Jinyoung next to Bang Chan, Jisung, Changbin and Hyunjin, watching.

The girl on front of you already has a hand placed on her hip, the gun was still in her other hand but it was now lazily placed over hrr shoulder, she pulls down the bandana covering her face, “Got a death wish?” She grins at you and then it explodes into laughter, “But really, good job, kid… but you still couldn’t get out of your restraints so that’s a few minus point-”

You stand up, reaching your hand over to her to off a handshake. She stares at your hand with a shit eating grin on her face before taking it, “Y/N.” you bow your head slightly.

“Min.” She lets go of your hand, “Your future is looking pretty bright here in District 9.” she points her thumb over her shoulder to Park Jinyoung who had a smirk on her face as he continuously and rapidly wrote on his clipboard.

Bang Chan walks you to the infirmary, hands in his pockets, “So how was it?”

You let out a breath, “Well, someone suddenly put a bag over my head while I was finally given the chance to leave the facility and walk around District 9.” You rub your face softly to avoid accidently pressing down too hard on a wound, “I was talking to this lady selling fruits and then everything went black.”

He’s silently nodding, trying to imagine what had happened to you, “Ever been interrogated?” he asks nonchalantly.

You chuckle at the morbidity of your conversation, “Nah. But a member of my old team has. Junhoe, he got caught last minute because he was trying to get District 5’s Park Chanyeol out and they ended up getting him from his blindspot.” you remember his bruised face giving you one of his dopey grins as you cried on the way back to 10, “We got him back a week later. YG told us not to come back for him but Hanbin was persistent, it was the one of the only few times he went against protocol.”

“How was he? June? That guy, was he good after that?” He insists on walking along the blue line in the corridor that would lead you to the infirmary.

You shrug, “He seemed normal enough. We almost never spoke about it because he would freeze and get this faraway look in his eyes.” You smile sadly at the thought, “I guess Junhoe wasn’t a hundred percent himself, but I think that’s what this kind of job does to a person.”

Chan’s voice is quiet, “Everyone here has gone through what you had to go through.” he clasps his hands behind his back, “Even though that was pretty brutal, I guess you were lucky that you got Min.”

You look at him confused, “Why? What about everyone else?”

He sighs, “That part of group initiation sucks, but I think the worst was Jeongin. He was just 14 at the time, and Jaebum did it, he ended up in the infirmary for a week, after Jeongin cried and spilled territorial coverage of District 9’s landmines along the border, and Park Jinyoung himself intervened and continued where Jaebum left off.” he shrugs, “Hyunjin and Changbin got Taecyon which sucked almost as bad a Park Jinyoung. I mean, I had to sit through watching Hyunjin hung upside down and every time he’s refuse to give information, they’d dunk him in water, Changbin was chained by the wrists standing up and it took them 4 whole days before it was finished, but I especially feel bad for Jisung, because his own brother had to physically torture him to prove his loyalty to District 9. It’s especially worst because the ones who already went through that interrogation couldn’t say a word to anyone who hasn’t.” You two walk into the infirmary where Sunmi was already waiting for you, “But I wouldn’t think that it would go that hard for a girl.”

You subconsciously frown, Jeongin was at least 20 now, to have to go through that at 14 must have been hell. He was just a kid.

“They don’t.” Sunmi intervenes, clicking her pen against a computer monitor filming your interrogation, “But Y/N here isn’t exactly like everyone else, and besides, she has to make an extra effort to quickly get to where you and your team are now.” she grabs your wrist pulling you along to the x ray table, “You can go now, Chan.”

He bows quietly, “Please make sure to provide me a copy of her diagnosis.”

Sunmi waves her hand in the air to dismiss him, and once he’s out of earshot, she’s chuckling, “That kid’s a real leader, a pain in the ass because I have to make extra reports to give to him, but a leader.” she shakes her head, pressing the buttons on the machine to get it started, “Always willing to go the extra mile for his members.”

You lift your head, which she promptly pushes back down, “Really?”

She sits at her desk facing you, and places her chin on her open palm, “Yeah.” she sighs, “He stayed here for a week when little Jeonginie got confined. He refused to eat his meals and gave every single one to Jeongin. All he’d have to eat was the pack of crackers I left him everyday, and when there was an outpour of patients, he’d help me treat some of the easier cases.”

The bed was retracted from the round xray monitor, and instantly you were sitting down. Sunmi handed you some water, which you gulped down. You stare at her when you feel someone staring at you.

Her hot pink eyeliner is especially more noticeable with her eyebrows furrowed, as she stared intently at you in worry, “How long do you think you were in there?”

You take a deep breath, shrugging, “I don’t know.” you tap your finger against the bed, “Maybe a day?”

“38 hours.” she begins writing down on her clipboard, just before he gets up to get your vital signs and check for broken bones.

You blink at the revelation, “Huh.” you look at Sunmi, “That was a lot worse than how Junehoe told me.”

She chuckles, touching your neck softly, “They tied your neck?” you nod, “Pretty brutal.” she shakes her head as she applied a bandage to your neck, the same size Jeongin put there from before, she sighs, patting the area she neatly bandaged up, "Well, hang in there, alright? Initiation week is the most brutal time of a soldier's life right after getting inducted."

these olympics have been such an emotional roller coaster honestly if not for my heart rate tracker i would not have known just how deeply i was invested into this entire event. i have anticipated this all year and yet i still have no idea how i made it through (shout out to my friends who watched with me as my emotional support either in person or via video chat). although not every event went exactly as i wanted, overall compared to the mess that was the sochi olympics, i’m pretty satisfied. but while the events are still relatively fresh in my head, i just wanted to get down a bunch of my final thoughts on each of the events. 

pairs:

my beloved sui/han - what more can i say except for the fact that i absolutely ADORE them and i think these olympics have officially boosted them into favorite pairs team of all time (even above shen/zhao). i was (and still am a bit) absolutely devastated that they lost out on the gold medal by less than half a point, i have a lot of respect for the team they lost to (i think i was more sad about how devastated they looked afterward). i still think they were lowballed in PCS in the SP (it really should’ve been a WR), which is honestly my favorite pairs short of the season. but i think if there’s anything that runs true about chinese pairs it’s their longevity and dedication to hard work. if they could come back after such severe injuries to accomplish what they did (becoming world champs in 2017, olympic silver, not finishing below 2nd in any event since their comeback), they will be a force to be reckoned with for the next quadrennial. mark my words, i will be there in 2022 to cheer for them even if i have to swim to beijing.

savchenko/massot - all i can say is that while she was never my favorite coming into any olympics that i’ve followed (2010, 2014, 2018) i so respect her perseverance and she is 100% deserving of the gold medal. this season’s FS is my favorite free skate she’s ever done; it’s a masterpiece. if i had a criticism: i only wish that she was still with her old partner (robin szolkowy) because she and bruno still never look like a cohesive unit when they skate together, and i honestly feel like the judges give PCS based on aljona not bruno. 

duhamel/radford - as much as i really dislike meagan’s air positions in her throws and jumps (they make me cringe EVERY TIME) i was really happy for them when they won the bronze. they were so elated and meagan’s sportsmanship is really admirable. i’m so glad they went back to hometown glory instead of their muse FS from earlier in the season, and they also prevented a russian team from making it to the podium so that’s always a +1 in my book.

tarasova/morozov - honestly with that candyman program they were absolutely doomed to fail. i don’t know how and why it happened, but while i still think they were massively overscored in PCS in the short program, their classic russian style still suits them much better. i still remain curious of what a clean FS would have been scored as, had they delivered it here. 

men:

YUZURU HANYU - has there ever been a more captivating skater in this generation? he is truly an angel sent from heaven to grace us with his existence. i have been dreading/anticipating the olympics for the past year because of this man and the STRESS he constantly puts me under. despite a nearly career-ending injury, he still managed to put together two solid programs (did he deserve the WR in the short? fuck yeah) and in the process nearly stopped my heart from beating (seriously, my heart rate went up to 188 bpm during his short program). i am just so thrilled that his most iconic programs got their deserved olympic moments. yuzu is the epitome of what it means to be an athlete and an artist - he stops at nothing to reach his goals and yet wears his heart on his sleeve at every moment. his future is uncertain for now (i’m begging you please withdraw from worlds) but as of now i would be more than happy to just watch him do crossovers for the rest of eternity. 

shoma uno - i am SO excited for what’s to come with shoma. what he lacks in height he really makes up with his presence on the ice and his skating! once yuzuru retires (cries) he will surely leave the future of japan’s men’s skaters in good hands. i absolutely love his short program this season, but i just really hope he stops making my heart clench when he jumps. thank your knees after every competition, shoma. he’s definitely the most well-rounded member of the sQuad skating-wise and will be a force to be reckoned with in 2022. 

javier fernandez - my sentimental fave. in the beginning of the season i was really not feeling the charlie chaplin SP but as the season progressed i felt myself falling for the charm of that program. it’s just so fun and javi has so much personality. i don’t think anyone skates character programs as well as him, and i am so sad that he is retiring but at the same time i understand his sentiments. absolutely thrilled that he got the first figure skating medal for spain! 

nathan chen - i truly believed that this olympics was just one cycle to early for nathan. i know a LOT of people said that this was the perfect time for him since his body is in peak form for doing the quads, but i really didn’t think he had the maturity to both handle the pressure of being a top figure skater nor the artistry or skating skills to match the top men yet. but he’s just 18 and it’s only his 2nd year as a senior. although i am really sad that his SP never got an olympic moment (it’s a fantastic vehicle for him when he’s clean, kudos to shae-lynn) i am thrilled that he got his redemptive FS (what a moment!), but i hope that he learns that changing jump layout from competition to competition is probably not the best strategy going into the olympics (or worlds). in four years i’m sure he’ll be the full package - with the artistry and technical capabilities. 

patrick chan - i’ve got complicated feelings about patrick, only because while i felt sorry for him in sochi and i appreciate his beautiful skating skills (seriously, he glides across the ice like a feather) he has a habit of putting his foot into his mouth during a lot of his interviews and they’ve unfortunately soured my impression of him as a skater. i never really bought that his comeback was about skating for himself, i always just thought it was because he still thought he could compete with everyone and win. whether or not that’s true doesn’t really matter in the long run, but i’m happy that he was able to land a 3A in his final performance and got that gold medal he desperately wanted.

boyang jin - i love how emotional he got when he finished his free! while his FS is still a little gimmicky to me, his SP truly shows off how far he’s come in the past 2 seasons wrt his skating. for all that the media likes to bash his lack of transitions, he’s not the only one who lacks them and it makes me so sad that he’s the only one that gets criticized for it. he def still has a lot of work to do but i think that he can definitely make the podium in beijing if he continues to improve. he still has the most hilarious mid-jump faces. 

vincent zhou - i was not prepared to cry at his reaction at the end of his free skate! to be honest, i don’t really feel much when he skates to moulin rouge (mostly because i’m so used to tessa and scott’s version, but also because of the lack of transitions) but you could tell after he finished his last jump that he was skating with so much freedom and really enjoying his olympic moment. especially after all the pressure he must have felt after making it on the team over ross miner, he probably wanted to prove that he deserved to be in pyeongchang and he definitely did, landing in 6th place. he really needs to work on the spins and the footwork (and learn to use his arms more effectively) but he’s just 17 and he’s never been to senior worlds yet. give him time. (and please stop hiring new coaches)

ice dance  

virtue/moir - i was really worried that they weren’t going to be able to pull it out because of the judging situation but at the end of the day the stars just aligned in all the right ways for them to win. it’s amazing to me that after 2 years of not competing they’re in the best form they’ve ever been (their 13-14 season was pretty awful competitively). but if anything, v/m have always been able to deliver when they need to. truly one of the best and i will miss seeing them compete, assuming that they’re retiring.

papadakis/cizeron - my heart broke for gabby in the SD when i saw her wardrobe malfunction. that being said, i think they were massively overscored in the SD, which is just bad judging. i think that this silver was honestly the best thing that could’ve happened to them, because if they had won over tessa and scott they probably would have to face judging controversies and shit like that. their FD is such a thing of beauty but you could tell that the audience didn’t quite get it, unfortunately. but they’ll be there in 2022 - that OGM is just waiting for them

shibutanis - ARGUABLY THE RESULT I WAS MOST EXCITED FOR IN ICE DANCE. i’m still mad as hell about that lvl2 rhumba but it’s fine because i was so excited for them that they skated 4 clean programs at the olympics since their last two competitions had been a bit of a struggle for them. i was worried that the past mistakes would prevent them from skating free but they really let it go in that final minute of their individual FD. i’m not even a huge fan of their FD but they skated their asses off to it and you could tell that they were super invested in it and they ultimately convinced me in the end. the fact that they got on the podium despite constantly being lowballed for being a sibling duo speaks volumes about what they’ve accomplished here. so so proud of them.

chock/bates - i’m gonna be honest, i was really never into any of chock/bates programs in the past 4 years. but my heart really went out them when they fell and you never wish for that kind of mistake on anyone. not much else to say.

weaver/poje - i fucking love je suis malade and i am so excited they brought it back for the olympics. kaitlyn looked stunning in her SD dress and i’m so sad that they never made it back up in the world rankings in this quad but they really skated their heart out in both programs (even though i held my breath during those twizzles)

bobrova/soloviev - honestly i’m glad that they’re not skating together anymore (i think) bc i have really nothing good to say about them lmao

ladies 

alina zagitova - while the judging of this event was completely wild, i want to protect her so much bc with all the new young talent that’s coming up she’s probably going to get passed over soon like all of the russian girls that never make it past puberty. she’s such an angel and while i hate her backloaded programs and i hate that she’s crazily awarded PCS there’s absolutely no denying her technical mastery. don’t think she deserved the gold but PCS was judged wildly this entire event so i absolutely don’t blame alina at all. and the mental fortitude it takes to tack on a 3Lo to her 2nd 3Lz after the first combo attempt was landed poorly is so fucking impressive.

evgenia medvedeva - my heart absolutely broke for her because this was supposed to be the crowning moment of her amazing 2 last two seasons but it just didn’t happen. the grace she showed after she saw her score and realized she was silver was just awe-inspiring and it makes her even more admirable. 

kaetlyn osmond - i personally did not like her fp this season at all but kaetlyn REALLY held it together during the free skate where she usually messes up and for that she has my kudos. her jumping is super impressive but definitely makes me hold my breath because she REALLY LAUNCHES herself into her jumps but they could go either way. luckily for her they went pretty well and the judges were ready to reward her if she skated clean. 

satoko miyahara - THE BRONZE MEDALIST OF MY HEART. she is the ONLY skater whose sp and fs i really loved and the fact that she was SO undermarked in PCS is just criminal! the nuances of her arm movements! the depth of her edges and the intricacies in her choreography were so underappreciated and it drives me absolutely wild, and it’s definitely bc her jumps are so small. the fact that she spins in both directions is so impressive and she switches so seamlessly that you can’t even tell she when she does it. i was SO proud that she got full credit on all of her jumps in her FS and she was so close to the podium. i hope she sticks with lori bc she had some real masterpiece programs this season. 

kaori sakamoto - she has so much potential and i’m so excited to see how she matures as a skater! her jumps are so powerful and she has a lot of musicality but i just feel like her programs here weren’t a good match for her. i hated the moonlight sonata edit (why do ppl change the key in classical pieces!! drives me insane, as someone with perfect pitch) and the miming choreo in the amelie program was giving me bad eteri-skater flashbacks.

mirai nagasu - i was so proud of her amazing skate in the team event but i definitely feel like she lost steam in the individual event :( yeah some of her comments after her bad performance were a little messy but i mean c’mon everyone makes excuses after bad performances. men say shitty things all the time after they do poorly idk why it’s so important to keep going after mirai

karen chen - SUCH GORGEOUS SPIN POSITIONS but gaaaaahhhh the jumping consistency!!! they’re so powerful and impressive when she hits them but they take the wind out of her when they go wrong. i know she was having boot problems before the free skate but this is not the first time this has happened to her and i really think that should’ve been addressed. nathan had boot problems at worlds last year and he brought like 3 pairs to PC. karen has a lot of musicality but when she botches the jumps i feel like it just takes the wind out of her and she loses that spark in her performance.

bradie tennell - i honestly don’t know what to say about her. she did pretty solid in the team event and placed just about where everyone expected her to even with a clean skate. she just skates with a very juniorish vibe and i admit that she did shock me when she fell but this is only the 2nd major international competition i’ve ever seen her at so i’m like...should i be this surprised??? the SP drives me nuts bc she clearly has never seen the movie where the soundtrack is from and the FS drives me nuts bc i feel like i’m watching disney on ice. i will be curious to see how she fares internationally from here on out, bc i will admit that her technique is really pristine, but i think she needs like a dance coach or a choreographer like lori or shae-lynn to help her mature artistically.
