Rain/world fandom is interesting to me bc its a stereotypical Tumblr Fandom. Very character focused. Lots of headcanons and shipping and discourse about headcanons and shipping. The basic incorrect quotes-esque memes and stuff. Its completely unremarkable. Its just that the game itself isnt character-focused enough to give the fanon any sort of "grounding", which leads to a funny gap in what the game actually offers v. what many people on here get out of it.

The upside to this is that the au art is really cool, even though ive never been the type to get invested in aus. Its also just fascinating to me. To some people on here chasing wind is like their blorbo and shit. Thats very endearing. Its such an overly specific way of fixating on this game. I have to respect that. Absolutely bizzare seeing typical fandom discourse here though. What are you guys talking about. Shit is so incomprehensible. Its like if people were discoursing about the content of goncharov in earnest.
