Not fond of how dependant on wikis a lot of indie games are these days. Maybe this is a hot take but I think your game should be playable without looking up external resources, and I don't like having a wiki for whatever game I'm playing up all the times just to casually play it because the game couldn't be bothered.

#wikis should be for sweating and hidden content #you should be able to casually play a game start to finish without one #whether thats clearer instructions or providing in game encyclopedias or whatever #if i have to tab out of the game it has failed #theres nothing wrong with having a wiki especially for the sake of community #they take up the role of game guides #but i get especially annoyed when a game outright links to an online wiki in the game rather than providing the info needed to play within #im also not fond of how complicated games are these days it feels like people need to shove 5 games in one #or else people complain there isnt enough to do #i think the evolution of minecraft is a good example of these exact problems #there are so many small bizarre things that use completely unique mechanics nothing else uses #that you HAVE to look it up on the wiki to find out how it works #this goes for a lot of mobs especially
