So I’ve never read the killjoys comic and wouldn’t mind doing so someday. But in the mean time can you give me a rundown/summary of everything?

oooh its hard to run it over without spoiling it, but i’ll try

i assume you’ve seen the na na na and sing music videos (if not watch those first), but the fab four died saving the girl.

the comic takes place roughly ten years after the events of the sing video. the girl finds party poison’s mask in tommy’s shop, which is quickly stolen by val velocity (leader of the ultra vs, and officially party poison kin). the girl follows them to nest and is practically adopted into their group for a while, where she witnesses the reorganisation of the killjoys to take down battery city.

the comic also follows the side stories of red and blue, two pornodroids in a relationship trying to find a way to survive and eventually escape the city, and korse, the exterminator who took down the fab four, but is starting to have his doubts about the company, and has a few skeletons in the closet.

all in all its good to get introduced to the characters, but the comic handles a lot of things poorly, so take the events with a grain of salt, it was probably hard to fit so many events and storylines into just a handful of issues, when each of these arcs probably needed their own series to be fully realised.dm me if you want the link to read it online free

not really, honestly? like, a lot of what i want to do is more of a prolonged thing, and often when i get an idea i just do it. i would like to travel a lot more, though, if that counts

bands: talk about a song/band/lyric that has affected your life in some way.

yo it’s a gimme at this point but black tie by grace petrie (and to a degree the entire queer as folk album) is super good, and it’s definitely a “put on repeat when you’re having a weird self-image time” jam. it’s helped a lot. i have a mug from her that says “you never will surrender to a narrow view of gender” and it’s fantastic
