What the writers see: The Isle of the Lost, home of the most wicked villians and their children dressed in awesome clothes that mess around all day and cause mischief.
What the fandom sees: An Island ridden with poverty, disease, and famine which unfairly traps the innocent children of villians with their parents who are pretty much guaranteed to practice atrocities such as physical/emotional abuse, neglect, alcoholism, etc along with a bunch of other low lifes who deal with drugs, gang violence, rape, public humiliation, and an overbearing mentality that positive emotion = weakness.
What the writers see: Auradon, the perfect world of the good guys, where all is good and just.
What the fandom sees: A whole lot of privileged country club teens who never learned how to work for what they earn and who take for granted the royalty they are blessed with. They discriminate against villain kids and don’t even bother to think about what life could have been like for them.
Me: Disney, you have dug yourself into a hole you are resistant and unwilling to climb out of.

I will never understand how someone can finish a book, like it and then just go on living. I have to go look for all of the fan art and fanfiction that has ever been published. Do deep character analysis, see what other people think of it, and basically just scroll down the book’s tumblr tag for HOURS looking at everything that’s already been discussed about it then imerse myself in the fandom so much it will consume my every thought for at least the coming week.

Okay so like I just re-watched The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe AND LIKE.
I Completely forgot that all the kids lived for YEARS in Narnia, literally grew up there. And then one day they just end up in the real world and they’re kids again! Do you know messed up that is??? like??? Did Peter’s brain stay the same as a grown mans??? Did Lucy’s? Did Susan’s or Edmunds? Did they adapt back to the real world or was it hard? did they continue thinking like a adults?? Like Kings And Queens? Did they find joy in childish things like playing with dolls or sports anymore? Did they think it was all some long, weird dream??? I have so many questions.
