I was going to make this as a reply in the post but my explanation to @thedragonqueen1998 for the tags was longer than I expected XD
#i mean#look at the bright side desmond#at least it's not secret hitler#or werewolf#oh man#it could have been blood on the clocktower#desmond the bar got off easy XD#<previous tags#Secret Hitler???#EXCUSE ME????#EXPLAIN PLEASE!
Secret Hitler is a social deduction game where the group is separated to liberals and fascists + hitler. (Depending on how many the players are, the number of fascists will also go up, but the main idea is that the liberals should always be the majority) The main point is that the group has to vote for a president and a president has to vote for a chancellor. Then the rest of the group will vote if they like this 'combo' or not. If not, the president goes to the next person (clockwise I think?) until the majority of the votes agree to the current president and their chosen chancellor. The president then gets 3 random cards from the deck which can either be liberal or fascist. Then the chancellor would pick one of the two cards (policies which will be implemented in the flavor of the game). The goal is for one group to pass 6 cards (policies) of their faction before the other side can. That's pretty much the gist of it although there are other win conditions that gets unlocked the more fascists cards are put down on the board (like the president having the one time ability to execute someone and, if that someone is the secret Hitler, the liberals win) or a president electing the secret Hitler as the chancellor if three or more Fascists cards are on the table then the fascists win. The rules and a copy of the game that you can print is free here:
I always assumed it's one of the more common board games but, then again, I do prefer social deduction board games so maybe that's why I know it XD Although you didn't ask, I'll still share cause I really like this game: Blood in the Clocktower can be described as "Werewolf but everyone has powers and can lie and play even after dying" Blood in the Clocktower works with the Werewolf base game that there is a 'demon' among the villagers killing people every night (although there is a demon, Lil’ Monsta, that can't kill and whoever is killed is on the whims of the storyteller) and they have minion(s) to help them and the villagers can execute someone each day until either the villagers execute the demon (minions can be alive at that point) or the bad guys (demon + minion(s)) outnumber the villagers. There's more to it and it is one of the more complicated social deduction game out there and it's better with a more experienced storyteller who can know if they should lend a helping hand to the bad guys or the good guys but it's super fun once you get the hang of it.
Especially if you get one of the most stressful roles like the Saint where if the villagers executes you, your team (good team) loses or the Damsel where if a minion call you out and say you're the damsel in front of the villagers, the bad team wins. There's also the Recluse where powers that can check if you're evil might come up as 'evil' or 'minion'. XD Here's their official site:
And the Blood on the Clocktower wiki that has all the roles and even the rulebook and how to setup a game
If you're curious on how it's played, No Rolls Barred has a lot of Blood on the Clocktower videos. I would recommend Poppygrown if you can only watch one of them because the total chaos of that entire episode was hilarious.

I finished Curious Village again the other day, so here are some random thoughts. This is my first time replaying the main series since my... mid-to-late teen years? (though I guess it was later than I thought, if AL didn’t come out till 2014... I’m 25 now) so my memory of the fine details of them is a little hazy.
Flora really is wasted in the next two games, isn’t she... She’s introduced as part of the crew by the end of the game, especially with the additional epilogue cutscene in the hd version, but she literally gets the Kairi treatment, being left behind or used as a damsel for no discernable reason, when she could easily be just as capable as Luke... I mean she’s older than him, there’s no reason she couldn’t handle herself on their adventures if he can. -___- And like Kairi, I want to be more invested in her, but she barely has any focus and development, and it’s just ugh. I kind of like that it makes sense why Hershel would be so distant with her/not know how to parent properly, but I wish that was actually explored, and it’s not, so everyone ignoring her is just annoying and unnecessary-feeling instead. Tbh I’d rather her have just stayed behind altogether in the next two games instead of showing up just to be kidnapped or impersonated, if she wasn’t going to be made a main party member permanently.
People have said this before, but the main trilogy is honestly made so much better with knowledge of the prequels, in both emotional and absolutely buckwild ways, and it’s the funniest with CV - going from Azran Legacy straight into the mundane Curious Village is absolutely fucking HILARIOUS, as completely unintentional as it was by Level-5 lmaoooo
Hershel, after the shitshow that was Azran Legacy: “oh thank god, just an inheritance dispute.” Luke, who is easily impressed and apparently gets selective amnesia after every game: “THIS IS THE BIGGEST MYSTERY WE’LL EVER SOLVE-” Hershel, this close to murdering Luke a second time:
Can we make some connection between Bruno’s robot-making abilities and the Azran technology. And does the whole robot thing seriously trigger the boys as soon as it’s revealed because DEAR GOD NO NOT THIS AGAIN-
And related to that, I’m sure that was why Hershel could easily guess the robot thing early on; like seriously, nothing should faze this man anymore after what he’s been through (and yet, hilariously, the most ridiculous has yet to come, depending on how you look at it)
But he doesn’t have the faintest idea why Don Paolo would want revenge on him, which, like, even if he can’t think of anything specific... my dude, your family history is fucked up a;lsdlf;fd, there’s PLENTY OF OPTIONS (even if the actual reason is much less severe lol)
I’m sure we also all headcanon Descole to be slinking around in the background of the three main games somehow just because it’s more fun that way, so now that he’s no longer the rival, he’s the rival-turned-secret helper who makes sure everything goes right for Hershel (but he doesn’t do everything obviously cause he knows he can handle things himself), and probably bitchfights with Don Paolo some because that mental image is hilarious to me lmao
Post-UF scenario where Desmond helps Bruno with the robots with his technical prowess
and while we’re on that idea, Uncle Randall nerds out over everything robot in St. Mystere because let’s be real he would (Azran 2.0: Electric Boogaloo, But Without The Danger Or Trauma)
That scene when the tower is collapsing and Flora almost falls and Hershel catches her. Level-5 how could you completely accidentally and unintentionally create something so utterly painful out of such a small moment; I lie awake at night thinking about this!! :)))
Also Hershel yelling to Luke in that scene “I HAVE AN IDEYAHHH!” with his accent going off the rails on “idea” is an underrated iconic moment
Am I the only one who got the quiz question about Chelmey’s favorite food wrong because the answer was cakes something, and whatever the newspaper said it was was definitely not what I’d consider a cake
I love the implication that Pavel(?) is the only person in St Mystere besides Hershel, Luke, Don Paolo, Flora and Bruno who’s not a robot, and he just somehow ended up there by unknown means while trying to get to America??? and then somehow ends up on a high floor of the LOCKED tower, and still has no idea where tf he is. what a madlad
I never liked Luke’s squeaky UK voice, but I’m realizing his US one isn’t much better... and Flora’s voice in the new epilogue cutscene with the same voice actress years later is oof. why do the PL games just. reuse the same vas constantly for different characters. It’s obviously a thing in anime and games, but it’s especially noticeable in this series imo
fuck those puzzles with troll-y answers. also fuck that one with the chocolate bar and the coded letters with the bite marks
Matthew is probably one of my favorite npcs now; he’s just adorable <333 his little arms waggin’
Gordon needs to get a life
Pauly why are you the way that you are
“I’m not a detective”, Hershel continually says, as he unveils ridiculous plots that no one could have thought up in their wildest dreams, while gathering everyone together and pointing out the culprits dramatically, Agatha Christie style
I was tapping around for the exact pixel on painting Flora’s neck because it was ridiculously precise on the mobile version, and I never knew that if you tap her chest area, Hershel scolds Luke for not being a gentleman I-
Luke’s chubby head in the anime cutscenes sure is something... so glad it didn’t last. along with the front-facing Hershel sprite.
The ferris wheel attack is so great, I never really appreciated it before. The music, and the rain at the end with the rainbow 👌
We needed more of Hershel constructing things from random objects he finds lying around; iirc the only other time he does it is in Eternal Diva, though I guess the slot machine gun in UF counts too
I solved every slider puzzle in this game without a walkthrough, even the bonus ones. I do not expect this to last in the next games.
Overall I like Curious Village, though it remains one of my least favorites; there’s nothing wrong with it, and it was the very first so I’m not surprised it’s not very complex, with the mechanics and style still not fleshed out yet, but it doesn’t really hit me with The Feels™ as the best ones do, so it’s just okay. it started this wild ride of complete emotional devastation off, so I can appreciate it for that at least.

Video Game Review: Assassin’s Creed Revelations (Ubisoft, 2011)
Tumblr media
Genres: action-adventure, third person, open world
Premise: Ezio Auditore travels to Constantinople to unlock the secret of Altaïr's vault in Masyaf, battling Templars who also want the vault’s contents. In the present day, Desmond Miles is trapped in the Animus and must find a "synch nexus", a key memory that links him with Altaïr and Ezio, to reintegrate his splintered subconscious and awaken from his coma.
Platform Played On: PC (Windows)
Rating: 3/5 stars
***Full review under the cut.***
I am evaluating this game based on four key aspects: story, characters, gameplay, and visuals. I will not be evaluating the multiplayer mode because I don’t like playing video games with other people.
Content Warnings: violence, blood
Story: The main premise of Revelations’ story is that, following the end of Brotherhood, Desmond has fallen into a coma. The stress of being controlled by Juno has splintered his subconscious, so in an effort to save his life, Rebecca Crane and a mysterious figure have placed him back in the Animus. In order to repair his mind and escape, Desmond must “play out” the remainder of Ezio’s memories, so he follows his ancestor as he travels to Masyaf in search of Altaïr's vault, which requires five “keys” to open. These keys have been hidden around Constantinople, and Ezio must race against the Templars during the political conflict between Şehzade Ahmet and Selim I.
Desmond’s plot follows a somewhat natural progression. Though I missed his interactions with the Assassin team, it makes sense that his next big adventure would involve being trapped in the Animus and learning more from Subject 16. I liked that gameplay in Ezio’s world unlocked some puzzles in Desmond’s world (even though he’s trapped in the Animus, he inhabits a little island where he can be himself) and that these puzzles told us more about Desmond’s past. I did not think, however, that Desmond’s past was related in a compelling way. Most of it is told to us through Desmond monologuing as the player completes puzzles that are somewhat reminiscent of Portal. I thought Desmond’s past could have been done better, perhaps by having flashback scenes like how Altair’s past is related.
Ezio’s plot felt like it was lacking, and I think the reason is that the past 3 games have focused on finding and controlling the Apple/Piece of Eden, whereas this game is about opening a vault/library.  Ezio’s story also lacks a strong antagonist to tie things together; instead of battling the Borgias, Ezio is competing with general “Templars,” and even though there are some prominent Templar figures, none of them had “stage presence” like Cesare Borgia did. Though I liked the political backdrop, I think Ezio himself was ill-suited for it. It sort of feels like the creators wanted to extend Ezio’s story rather than start something new with a protagonist who was more connected to the setting, and though recovering Altair’s library is a fun goal, I think the story should have revolved around someone who grew up in the region.
I did like that we got to delve a little deeper into Altair’s past and learn more about him. Unless you play the portable Assassin’s Creed games, you don’t get to learn much about what happened to Altair in ACII and Brotherhood, so it was nice to see some exploration of his life in a game that was centered on uncovering his work.
Tumblr media
Characters: Ezio, our protagonist and player-controlled character, is a little older in this game, and while he’s still likable, he’s much more serious and down-to-business. I’m a bit torn as to whether his demeanor fits the setting of the game - on the one hand, I loved that the European character wasn’t presented as someone who comes to the Middle East and takes charge. Ezio definitely has much to learn, and his skills are seen as having value without being superior. On the other, I do wish the protagonist had been someone who lived in the area - I got the feeling that Ezio was made the protagonist because of his popularity rather than his suitability for the setting, and while I appreciate that Revelations closed out his arc, I don’t really think it was needed.
The major supporting character in this game is Yusuf Tazim, leader of the Turkish Assassin Order. He shows Ezio around and provides much-needed instructions and lore, and he’s incredibly charismatic and personable. Ezio also encounters historical figures such as Manuel Palaiologos and the future Suleiman the Magnificent, which were fun treats for history enthusiasts, but not extremely commanding personalities. Instead of courtesans appearing throughout the city, there are Romani people seen hanging about, and though I liked that they were included and talked about their oppression, I do think their visual design and function during gameplay were somewhat stereotypical.
Ezio furthermore gets a real love interest in this game in the form of Sofia Sartor, an Italian traveler and book collector who helps him locate the keys. I thought the interactions with her were sweet, but she was a kind of damsel in distress and she didn’t have much personality other than liking books for a large part of the game.
Desmond, for his part, doesn’t get a lot to do, despite this game being about reconstructing his psyche and digging into his past. I liked that we learned more about him, but I do wish the stakes of being trapped in the Animus were higher.
Tumblr media
Gameplay: Revelations uses almost all of the same mechanics as Brotherhood. There are armor and weapon upgrades, treasure stashes, upgrades to the city of Constantinople (which stimulates the economy and earns the player more money), etc. Art merchants are replaced with book merchants, so instead of buying paintings, players can purchase codices, but functionally, they were the same. Similarly, instead of freeing areas from Borgia influence, players liberate “Templar dens” and turn them into “Assassin dens,” and while they’re thematically different from the Borgia towers, they’re functionally the same. Players complete assassination missions in which you kill the captain of the guard responsible for overseeing the Templar den, but instead of blowing it up, you trick your enemy by signaling Templar retreat, allowing the Assassins to move in and take over the area. You can also recruit assassins and make use of thieves, mercenaries, and courtesans much the same way as in Brotherhood, though courtesans are replaced by Romani people. There was a moment in Sequence 2 when Ezio had to defend the Assassin safehouse from a Templar attack, and gameplay involved placing barricades, commanders, archers, riflemen, and cannon fire. while balancing morale and damage. I kind of liked the strategy involved and it could have been an interesting mechanic for the rest of the Templar dens/Assassin safehouses, but alas, this moment only occurred the one time unless you’re not paying attention to your infamy meter (which was easy to take care of).
The major weapon upgrade in this game is the introduction of the hook blade and various types of bombs. Bombs ranged from simple noisemakers, to stink bombs, mild explosives, smoke screens, and other useful ranged attacks, while the hook blade enabled faster climbing as well as traveling along zip lines. These weapons were fun, but because so much of the other gameplay was the same as in Brotherhood, they felt like cosmetic patches to an otherwise repetitive gameplay experience.
Tumblr media
Visuals: As always, I adored the look of the historical setting. The artists and developers beautifully rendered Constantinople, and I loved seeing more rich colors and details on the buildings and clothing of NPCs than when playing as Altair in the first Assassin’s Creed. I also really loved the look of Ezio’s armor, which forwent the classic white and red palette and opted for a more somber grey. The grey blended with the surroundings a bit better, in my opinion.
What really threw me off was that the facial models for some of the returning characters were altered. Both Ezio’s and Desmond’s face shapes are a little different from how they appear in Brotherhood, and though I do not doubt the change was in service to testing out advancements in graphics, I couldn’t quite shake the uncanny valley vibe.
Animations were up and down; upon starting this game, I encountered a horrible glitch that made the screen flicker and movement impossible, but luckily, I was able to fix it easily using instructions from other players who had the bug. There were some really satisfying combat animations, including finishing moves that upped the level of Ezio’s epic skills, but sometimes they lagged or a bug would make them not connect to an opponent. While not the end of the world, it was noticeable and sometimes took me out of the immersion experience.
Tumblr media
Final Verdict: Despite repeating much of the gameplay from Brotherhood and unnecessarily extending Ezio’s story, Revelations presents a beautiful atmosphere and fun adventure to unlock some much-desired background to Altair’s narrative.

The Life Of An Assassin- Chapter 3
Fandom- Assassins Creed Relationship- Assassins/Female Reader Rated- Mature
I jerk away from yet another nightmare. It’s been three weeks and I’m slowly healing but the nightmares just won’t stop. All the guys have been so good. Jacob sits with me every night, holding me as I sob from the dreams. The rest visit me regularly through the day, giving me gifts. Shay and Haytham are completely healed and currently being held in a couple of cells in the basement of the compound.
I’m sick of being in the infirmary now though so I decide to head to the guy’s part of the building. I groan as I get up, pulling my clothes on. I slowly make my way to their common room.
“What the hell are you doing up and about?” Jacob demands as I come into the room.
Connor is immediately at my side, helping me over to one of the sofas.
“I got bored.” I sigh, wincing as I sit down.
“You need to allow yourself to heal.” Altair states sternly.
“Jeez guys, all I did was leave the infirmary not try to go on a mission.” I snap, rolling my eyes at them.
“Oh, you’re never going on a mission on your own again.” Desmond says suddenly.
“Excuse me?” I growl, feeling anger boiling up inside.
“We just feel that it might be better if…” Connor begins softly.
“What? That I get wrapped in cotton wool? Become a poor little fragile damsel?” I shout, wincing as my ribs protest.
“Easy, Lass! We aren’t saying that.” Edward says gently.
“I think we should let her be.” Jacob says, nodding at me.
Before I know it they’re all shouting at each other, even Altair, arguing over what’s best for me.
“Guys! Don’t you think I should have a say in this?” I cry, getting even more pissed.
  JACOB’S POV
I know how she’s feeling, so lost and afraid but determined to be strong. After everything I went through with Jack, I felt the same. I want to keep her safe, more than anything, but I know she needs to be back out there. She’s strong and capable. She needs to be free or we’ll lose her forever. The one thing I was not expecting was everyone else’s reactions. We end up arguing, going back and forth on opinions of what we should do with her.
“Guys! Don’t you think I should have a say in this?” She shouts, sounding furious.
I want to side with her but just then Desmond says something about giving her a desk job.
“Don’t be bloody stupid!” I shout, knowing that would kill her inside.
I see her storm out of the room but I’m blocked by the others, all of us yelling at each other.
“Why the hell do any of you care anyway?” Rebecca shouts, entering the argument.
“Because I love her!” Is shouted in unison from each of us.
“Bollocks.” Edward snaps as we all stare at each other.
Sums it all up pretty well really.
   READER’S POV
I cannot believe those idiots! What the hell do they think they’re doing? I’m not some kind of possession that they can dictate over! I find myself wandering down to the basement area where the cells are located. I’m glad to see that Shay and Haytham seem well. I haven’t seen them since that night in the infirmary.
“I wasn’t expecting to ever see you again.” Haytham states, staring at me.
“Yeah well, there are way too many alpha males upstairs. Plus, I wanted to check on you both.” I shrug, wincing in pain slightly.
“Shouldn’t you still be in the infirmary?” Shay asks.
“Do you really care?” I ask him curiously.
“Aye. I know the only reason I’m here is that you made them help me.” He shrugs.
“Plus, what they were willing to allow to happen to you was deplorable.” Haytham states.
I smile at them both, giving them a slight nod as I sit on a chair. I look at their cells and I must admit, they seem quite cushy. They have beds, chairs, desks, books and other stuff. It even looks like it’s all been done to their personal tastes.
“How are you both doing?” I ask softly.
“Well, we’ve spent all this time not knowing how we were immortal, being tortured by our own people just to then find out it’s something to do with the Brotherhood instead.” Shay says sourly, stalking up to the door of his cell.
“Then I find out my Father and Son are still alive and judge me for all my decisions.” Haytham snaps.
“To be fair, I don’t understand all your reasons either. I don’t get why you’d stay with the Templars after finding out that they were responsible for what happened to your family. I also don’t get why you’d choose to kill your own son rather than let him kill your friend for something he deserved to die for.” I say to Haytham, curiosity getting the better of me.
“Only one Templar was responsible for what happened to my family, the orders rules and ideals are…were intelligent and reasonable. As for Charles…I felt responsible for him, for the things he had done. I could not allow him to be killed for it. As for my actions toward Connor, I will always regret them.” He sighs.
There’s such sadness in his eyes that I absolutely believe him. I find myself wanting to reach out and comfort him. My eyes slide closed and my head droops as I feel exhausted suddenly.
“You should go and rest.” Shay says.
“Yes, you need to recover.” Haytham says.
I hum at them and then shakily stand up.
“See you again.” I sigh, heading back upstairs.
“Look forward to it.” Haytham nods at me.
I make my way to my own room and sigh tiredly as I see all the guys there. I stumble and Jacob catches me, helping me to my bed.
“I’m too tired for your crap right now.” I mumble.
“We all love you.” Desmond blurts out.
I snort in laughter but it dies in my throat at the serious looks on their faces.
 “So…what now?” I gulp, shocked.
“Now you date us all.” Jacob grins smugly.

Desolate Caladium: Chp 4 Madness of the Heart and Mind
Desolate Caladium: chapter 4
Madness of the Heart and Mind
As I brought callum into the cabin with Evelyn’s help, I began to notice his head was burning. It must have been from the shots fired at us, there was no sign of anyone out there and I had to ensure no one was going to follow us out here. Evelyn told me she would watch the outside and let me know what she found while I tended to callum. It was twice to one that we saved one another, not much else can be seen from that other than a life debt. I remember my training well and got his fever down quite a bit but his wounds were much more severe than I imagined, with his back burned by magic bullet wounds, most likely fire. Had I been properly watching out for everyone id have been able to keep myself from falling victim to a damsel in distress motif? It didn’t matter as the two of us were still heading slowly to the new life we wanted away from the kingdom, but if im going to be a burden to him like this, is it worth it for me. Remembering he kissed me on the forehead, I gotta snap back to reality, there isn’t any use being a sniveling coward about any of this. Evelyn will help as much as she can but shes still weak from hunger and callum is out of commission.
“evelyn, im going into town for a while to get aid for callum, watch over him for me.” “you got it desmond, ill make sure hes safe.” as I left I knew in my stomach something was up with her. Why in the world would she appear here of all places and while we were camping out in the first place. It didn’t matter to me though, I needed some red leech tree bark and lavender for a ointment for him. Although the ingredients are quite expensive they will be well worth it for better recovery. While returning with supplies and some food, I catch evelyn talking to a tall man wearing a red cloak with a broadsword on his back. Getting closer I cant believe what I was hearing from the two of them.
“you idiot, I told you to wait til I gave a signal, I didn’t wanna hurt him.” “you told me to attack when you were found so I did, you know these magic items are hard to control” “fucking hell, hes hurt all because of our need for food, what a debacle.” “im sure things will get better as soon as we explain it when he wakes up” no way of knowing if he will or not, things aren’t exactly good with that, our shots really did a number on him.”
“oh man, well no harm no foul, I say we grab some of that foods he has stashed and split.” I noticed evelyn slapping him and looking as if she was crying, approaching the two the cloaked man disappeared and left Evelyn alone to talk with me. She explained how they went rogue in the kingdom and had to live off the land but being on the path of one was tiring and found a alve she freed with some of her savings and gave him a job as a guard, even buying him a broadsword. I could tell he is inexperienced and lacks control over anything, but he does look well defined by labor work. As I invited her back inside I began making a herbal remedy to heal callum, only to see that the marks are fading faster than expected, leaving nothing but small scars on his body. Although healed he still hasn’t awoken. Evelyn warned me not to wake him as the last time that occurred, someone nearly got killed, she mentioned it was something about his mage craft that changes his personality a total 180 and effectively would make everyone an enemy.
“its not worth it, he needs to wake on his own, not by force, trust me I know, hes a monster when in that state.”
“you sure this guy who is kind enough to travel with his ex and a doctor, is a monster when woken up.” “listen civilian ive known him for many years and I know what in talking about, he isn’t supposed to be woken up or else the consequences will be irreversible .”
Despite what I thought, she had a point, she knew him longer than I ever have and it wasn’t fair to usurp dominance over someone that was trained in royal courts all her life to deal with whatever the case may be with callum. As the day went on I decided to do some hunting, finding mostly some doe and birds to cook up for supper. When I returned I noticed that there was dead silence everywhere, curiously I thought that both evelyn and callum would be asleep due to the days events, but I was sorely mistaken. Out of nowhere a hole ripped open from the cabin with the cloaked man being shot out brandishing his broadsword covered in blood. From the smoke I saw callum covered in dark runes with hollow black eyes staring dead in the mans eyes no emotion or life whatsoever.
“I can contend you wanting food, but to go this far just to awaken a primal urge from your own volition needs to be punished.” “really now floating ball of denial, why don’t you make me.” I watched as callum created a small sphere of navy blue magic and launched it at the cloaked man.
“Alfan!!!!!!!” I couldn’t believe it as he slowly looked down at the beaten man, and grabbed him by the neck.
“you dare awaken a prince filthy slave, the girl gave you a name, alfan, ill remember it when your gone.” He flung the young man into the trees smashing him into a large oak, chasing after him I noticed callum meeting my gaze and just started walking to the direction of the crash. I wanted to help but I froze in place, is that who he is, some demonic mage bent on murder all to remain asleep. Now I get why he stayed away a long while and slept in seldom shifts. He wanted to remain calm instead of breaking out in a fight the minute something went awry. I picked evelyn up who suffered a broken ankle from the debris and told me that the state callum is in is from his mothers side.
“his mother is a moon elf, a divine being of the night capable of lost magics from beyond our grasp, her son bears her magic seal giving him the blood line to the moon and its secrets, he knows the arcane arts like the back of his hand as well as focus on the prospects of being the rightful heir to the throne of two kingdoms, now you see the power that comes from the royal blood.”
Evelyn has me carry her to the forest where we see the two continuing the fight. Alfin still trying to use his sword to no avail, simply missing every swing.
“a barbarians sword in the hands of a slave, is still nothing more than an oversized gardening tool.” thrusting his palm into alfin he pushes him into the trees again hearing a cracking of his bones.
“bastard took out one of my ribs” “and I shall crush the rest, mongrel” I looked away as I realized he repeatedly punched alfin in the gut breaking more of his ribs leaving him on the ground.
“picking a fight indeed was foolish  but you did allow me to be free of that prison for a while, so thank you, now whose next to challenge the prince of the moon elves, heir to the queens magic as well as tremis’s kingdom.” evelyn grabbed me and covered my mouth, signifying that this wasn’t safe and trying to get near him only would aggravate things further.
“come out come out evelyn, don’t make me hunt you dear, or I may have to burn the forest down.”
Evelyn looked at me with sincerity in her eyes that someone capable will snap him out. that instant I really understood what the dangers of leaving the kingdom entitle, callum doesn’t want the crown magic, or even power, he wants to be far from that things plans as possible.
“stay put I got this taken care of, hey prince wanna fight the princess.” “why of course, always wanted to ensure that the two of us wedded, but alas we were unable to ever have a proper match, given societal breakdowns of womens roles, keeping them as wives only stifles their warrior potential, like that slave over there.” “I saved him caladium, remember you gave him away to escape being made a sacrifice by the church, you gave him a name.” “right and fighting a queen is what im doing.” Evelyn calmly begins trying to get callum, only to be brushed off as nothing, being bombarded by light spells that cause minimal damage to her.
“what happened? You said he wouldn’t be a problem” “I know des but that thing isn’t callum anymore, the more he awakens the more hes capable of staying in control. His father and mother weren’t exactly the best parents.” I noticed that callum was growing weary of his stance and was regressing to his normal gaze although in one eye. But as he calmed down I noticed he was talking to himself.
“keep out, stay back, why control me now after 10 years.” “power is what you want the throne is yours.” “I don’t need it to help people I want to be gone as a martyr of peace and neutrality not of calamity and desolation.” “give in you know you want to.” “never again” as he finished I noticed him returning to normal again and falling down from exhaustion. Evelyn picked alfin up and told me to get them both to a inn keeper to be doctor. As we watch outside we come across the doctor examining both of them for abnormalities. Chris woke up shortly after and promptly tried walking despite much of his mana being eaten. I helped him up and I could tell he was crying from his eyes.
“im sorry you had to see that, I never thought that would come out again, it wasn’t fair for you to deal with it.” “are you kidding you worried me to death, I wasn’t afraid I was concerned you would make it out alive from that.” “no worries desmond, ill be more careful next time, but for now im very strained so im gonna go to the hot spring.” taking a cane I watched him limp out as alfin was operated on and making a recovery, the doctor allowed for him and evelyn to stay as long as possible until he recovered. Walking out I watched callum enter the entrance to the springs and followed suit. He was weak but I know he needed alone time to process the circumstances of what occurred, but part of me wanted to make sure he was okay so I snuck behind the rocks and watched as he began stripping down to his skivvies getting in the hot water.
“my oh my, did I truly need this tonight, desmond I know your out there, come out now I can sense your life force.” “sorry, I didn’t know if you wanted to be alone.” “just join me okay, holidays are coming up soon, all grace day comes our way in two moons.” “I didn’t know about that, sorry.” “why are you still dressed, get in the water before you freeze.” I took my clothes off and join him on the opposite side. It didn’t take much to get him to smile again, drinking a little rum really helped boost his mood effortlessly.
“I cant thank you for carrying me to the inn, it was a nice gensture when I lost myself.” “it…. Was no problem callum, please don’t hold it over me.” “of course not, im just happy to be alive and just relaxing for once, I wanna spend the holiday without crap coming back for me.” “I can hold that to high regards.” “hold on, I wanna give you a grace days eve gift, close your eyes” “fine” As I close my eyes I felt a cold metal go around my neck, when I opened my eyes it was a silver and black amulet necklace shaped in a cross. I saw the ring I wore that he bought before leaving was the same as the one he just gave me.
“I know cost a lot, but I figured a matching set would have a good look on you, plus the gems match your eyes.”
“I don’t know what to say, I love it.” As I began to notice the snow falling under the clear skies, callum came close to me taking my hand and softly kissing me with tears running down his face.
“I think I may actually love you.”

SO, now that that monstrosity is over with, a more lengthy er, rant, about why the movie is shit(and comparing it to the source material).
So, obligatory warning for book and movie spoilers.
The big problem is, they tried to put too much in. They tried to cramp together the first three books, into a ~2 hour length movie. That’s a bad idea, even if these books aren’t that long.
Because, these books are set up for everything to come.
Book one introduces the Cirque and the freaks, introduces us to vampires and the fact that such things exist, sets up some lore for them, it introduces us to Steve and sets up his reason for wanting revenge(which is massively important later down the line).
Book two sets up Darren’s relationship with the Cirque, and has him over come his repulsion to human blood(and explains why he can’t live on animal blood alone), it introduces us to Mr. Tiny and the Little People.
Book three introduces us to other vampires, to the vampaneze(Murlogh to be exact), to the conflict between them, to Debbie(Darren’s human love interest who appears again later, she’s not a one off character) and basically sets up things for the big plot later on and gives us more worldbuilding.
There’s probably more but it’s been a while since I read them. But they’re set-up books, they establish things. Important things.
So squishing these three into one, doesn’t work.
You could, possibly, squeeze book one and part of book two into one film, and the rest of book two and book three into one, but not all three into one(book two is the only one that could be condensed into one of the others for a film tbh).
And it makes the pacing so awful.
The first part is so rushed, it rushes through everything, through meeting Steve, through sneaking out to the Cirque, through the events at the Cirque, everything. It’s mostly faithful to the source material(enough as it can be being as rushed as it is), but pretty much everything after Darren’s dug up is, off the rails.
And then the rest of the movie is all over the place crushing together the events of the third book with the whole ‘I won’t drink blood’ from the second book(also, this is another thing that causes the age up to be weird) with things that either never happened at all or didn’t happen until much much later(like Darren and Steve fighting, they do clash several times but not until much later in the series). As well as adding in characters that never existed/removing characters(Debbie and Sam), events that literally never happened(Darren’s family getting kidnapped along with his love interest and having to pick between them, that did not happen. Hell, his parents never find out he was alive, only his sister ever does, when she’s a grown woman!) or having them know things that they literally should. not. know(such as the name Harkat, this is literally not revealed until book 4, and by Harkat himself).
And it loses pretty much all of the worldbuilding (what’s the difference between a vampire and vampaneze? what does and doesn’t affect vampires? what animals can they drink from and which can’t they? what speed do half vampires and full vampires age at? all of these are answered in the books, but not so in the movie)
Now, changes from book to film are bound to happen, and sometimes they can work. But not in this case. Literally none of the changes work.
As I mentioned during my liveblog, they aged everyone up, Darren and Steve, who were ~12 in the books, are now 16. This is, problematic because as I said, it was in fact a plot point. Because 12 is very young and it’s generally frowned upon(if not taboo) to blood someone so young. So Darren’s young age becomes a plot point in book 4 when everyone is basically like ‘Larten wtf?’ when learning what he did and trying to figure out what to do with Darren.
And why he’s excited about finally getting to experience his teenage years(and highschool while he’s basically undercover) after ‘the purge’ basically makes him go through several years of puberty in like, a night, and he ages straight into being 15/16(and why meeting #2 with Debbie is so awkward, he’s a teen and she’s now a grown woman).
Plus, it makes them all look like idiots. I mean yeah, the string of bad decisions they make in the books are absolutely dumb (sneaking out to a possibly illegal freak show, confronting a vampire, blackmailing him, asking him to make you one, stealing his deadly spider, trying to train said spider etc...) but when you frame it with the knowledge that these were decisions made by 11-12 year olds it’s at least, slightly understandable, cause kids do dumb things ad think they’re good ideas. But 16 year olds? Now they just look dumb.
Also, book!Steve at 12 years old was able to figure out, on his own, that Daren was a half-vampire. 16 year old movie!Steve needed fucking Desmond Tiny to practically spell out to him that Darren wasn’t actually dead a what he really was. Our future Lord of the Vampaneze everyone. :|
I want to make a correction to my liveblog. Evra wasn’t aged up as much as I thought. In the book he’s described as being ‘about fourteen or fifteen’, while he’s 16 in the movie. The movie still fucked him up though. I like book!Evra, I don’t like movie!Evra.
Crepsley’s scar. Oh boy.
In the book it was a large, prominent one down the side of his face, made remarkable due to the fact that he just, doesn’t talk about it, which is odd for a race that is proud of scars earned in battle. In reality he got his in a very embarrassing way(he drunkenly flirted with the wrong woman and she slashed his face).
The three small scars are 1) implied to be a battle wound, 2) actually have an in-universe meaning.
When Vampaneze choose a victim, they mark them with three small scratches on the left cheek. There is only one vampire ever shown with those marks, one we don’t meet until book 4, with the marks intending to hint as what he’s been up to(meeting wit them in secret).
Giving Crepsley those marks is, odd. And proof that someone did read the later books. I am not sure the reason for this change aside from maybe, giving him Kurda’s role in the story, which would *really* fuck things up.
On the note of bad movie changes, the Little People. No, not people with dwarfism, Little People, the small(roughly book!Darren’s height, so probably ~3ft tall) creations of Mr. Tiny. That’s what they’re called, though I question if they are technically “people”.
In the first book all we know about them is that they’re about Darren’s height, wear blue cloaks with hoods that hide their faces/bodies, and don’t speak. Ever. They just shuffle around the Cirque doing this or that and that’s about it. It’s not until later (at least book 4 but possibly in book 2 while Darren’s with the Cirque) that we get a look under the hood and get a better description of them.
Where in we learn they are-grey skinned and appear sewn together, have no neck, lidless green eyes atop their head and a lipless mouth full of sharp teeth, have no nose or visible ears and wear a sort of mask over their mouth to so they can breath(earth air is toxic to them, though they can breath it for a time). The ones in the movie....look like a rejected house elf design and there’s no sign of the breathing mask.
And everyone’s, too chill around them. They freak everyone out due to their connection to Mr. Tiny + their appearance. And none of them have names, which is why it’s such a big thing that Harkat Mulds has a name (and can speak! luckily the movie didn’t spoil that). Something not revealed until book 4. By Harkat himself, not someone from the Cirque.
Which brings me to my next point, Rebecca. She literally does not exist in the books. I mean, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Cirque had a monkey girl as part of its line up-goodness knows there have a large group and not everyone is always there-but one never appears in the books.
She seems to be filling the roll of Debbie, and to some extent, Sam, both of which were cut from the movie. Which does not work. Both of these characters had specific roles, Debbie esp, which can’t really be swapped out, and not like this. Debbie’s role can’t properly be filled by making her a member of the Cirque. Also worth noting, Debbie wasn’t the one who was kidnapped(she’s actually fairly self reliant and takes an active role in later books), it was actually Evra! So the movie went and turned the love interest into a damsel in distress. :/
And Sam...*sigh* Sam dies and his death is a tipping point, that moment that readers realize that no one is safe, that good people, innocent people, will die. Because that’s what Sam was, an innocent. The moment Darren realizes this, and realizes that he has to drink human blood if he ever hopes to protect the people he cares about(b/c he held off on feeding on human blood he wasn’t strong enough to fight off the Wolf Man and protect Sam). Rebecca dying during the fight, would actually have been truer to the book(and the tone of the books). But no, we get awkward love plot(and an awkward one for Crepsley too, for some reason)
And Mr. Tiny. Oh man. He might be the master manipulator in the series, but he has rules he has to follow. Rules that if broken would unleash even worse beings(his family) onto the world, which even this chaos loving nut, does not want. And the movie basically ignores all this. As far as I recall, he can’t directly interfere with things, which is why he has to manipulate people into doing things for him. And you’re not supposed to even now any of this until pretty much the end. Until then he’s a seemingly neutral party that no one really likes and is just unsettling. He’s more than he seems and has his own agenda, we just don’t learn it till the end.
Except the movie basically gives away that he’s the antagonist and the one behind everything and has him all but telling everyone what to do.
I guess the writers realized their movie was so bad that they couldn’t do anything without a character literally telling them what to do to move the plot along(for example, Steve discovering Darren was a half vampire and going after him, in the book he figured this out all on his own, in the movie he literally needed Tiny to spell it out for him).
The characters, as you can tell, barely resemble their book counterparts, both in appearance and personality. In some cases the only thing they share is a name(the bearded lady for example, name and ability-to grow a bread at will-are all they have in common).
The movies took everything I liked about the characters, about the books, and just, threw it out. I can’t even bring myself to like the characters, because there’s nothing TOO like.
And honestly, it makes me sad and mad. Because I love these books, and back when I heard there was going to be a movie made I was ecstatic! And then the movie came out and I felt so betrayed. This was not the story I liked, the characters I liked. This was, garbage.
Fuck, I’d sooner sit through Eragon again. At least that has dragons and magic and is interesting and visually appealing.

Au where Desmond is a dragon, looking like an apple of eden, and going around through the times 'saving' things, aka changing Canon history so no good people die, like kadar/malik/sef/auditore family/Connor's tribe. He can speak telepathically, has some sort of breath attack (doesn't have to be fire, could be anything) and of course flies. And while he saves anyone, he is loyal to the 'protagonist' Assassin most (altair, ezio, Connor, etc)
It would be symbolic for Desmond to have a sunlight-type breath attack. It doesn’t spew actual fire but a beam of white light as bright as the sun and has the same temperature as the solar flare that he died to save the world from.
Desmond has no idea what the hell it is or how it works so he just calls it his ‘laser beam’ because it looks like a laser to him.
Also… you say dragon and the first two things I thought of are “oh god, Desmond’s hoard is gonna be all the important stuff in AC lore” and…
You know what would be funny?
If Desmond has this urge, this itch, this need so ingrained into his dragon self to…
Kidnap the AC protagonists.
Because dragons are well known to kidnap princesses and a brave knight going on an adventure to save these damsel in distresses are simply part of human culture by now.
Just imagine…
Malik, after having lost a rock-paper-scissor contest, having to be the one to ‘save’ Altaïr from the fierce dragon that destroyed Solomon’s Temple just to burrow deep into the strange place where the Ark had been, incinerating Robert and his lackies before they could kill Kadar then taking off with both the Ark and an angry Altaïr shouting to put him down or he’ll skin his lizard skin. When he get to the supposed dragon lair, Altaïr is just in the middle of the hoard, reading an old book, with a large dragon curled around him, purring like a cat… a large cat with a purr that makes the entire cave shake slightly. Malik just staring at Altaïr with a ‘why aren’t you trying to escape???’ and Altaïr just going “Malik, good, you’re here. I’ve found letters and journals that says Al Mualim has betrayed us. Here.” Altaïr throws a bag at him, making Desmond grumble in displeasure which he just rolls his eyes as he said “We’ll get you something shiny. I’m sure the Templars have something in Arsuf.” and Malik is just “WHAT???”.
And that is how the legend of a dragon underneath Masyaf is born. It is said it guards the most prized treasures and knowledge in the entire world.
… It should. The Levantine Brotherhood had to be careful in transferring all of Desmond’s hoard or they’d get an ear-piercing howl equivalent of “FRAGILE, HANDLE WITH CARE!”
And the most annoying part is that they all know Desmond can talk to them telepathically. He just prefers to howl whenever he wants to be annoying.
The next one to be ‘kidnapped’ is Ezio and Ezio doesn’t need any dashing knight to save him. No, no. He got Desmond to just stay in the Sanctuary (which was made to be just as big as his home in Masyaf before because the Brotherhood had decided all secret lairs must have a basement as big as that… just in case the legendary dragon decides to visit or stay a while…) by promising to bring him as many shinies as he can.
Claudia is his favorite Auditore though because she figured a dragon would be a better guard for their money than a bank. Also, Desmond is okay with getting funds for any reconstructions or buildings Ezio wants to do because Ezio gives him more shinies which meant that they also have extra emergency money if they needed it.
And he managed to destroy the Papal Army in a matter of minutes. Sure, that meant Rome was left defenseless and the Borgias became known as the family that got Rome destroyed and sacked but… weeellll… at least Monteriggioni later became an independent state which is nice?
Edward found him… sorta by accident. He heard the tales of the legendary golden white dragon, of course. Of how it hoards the greatest most priceless riches in the entire world. But, by his time, everyone believed it to be a legend. Only those coming from Italy and Levant truly believed the legend. But Edward did ‘find’ a certain journal that talks about it from the headquarters of the Assassins that Mary took him to. So he went out to find this supposed dragon hoard and… well… he got captured on the way to the hoard.
In his damn ship no less.
The dragon just swooped right in and taken Edward from the helm, much to the surprise of his crew.
Adéwalé was the only one of his crew that had the heart to try and find him. He found Edward pinned to a very large hoard by one huge dragon hand and Adéwalé realized what Edward had been doing when he heard, “Alright, alright! I’m sorry! I won’t try to pocket anything anymore! Promise! Yes, I know this is my third promise today but I’m serious this time!”
Shay had heard the legends of the dragon but never saw it. Until Lisbon… When he got to the location where the POE was… the dragon was there, curled around it.
It told him that this POE was unstable and touching it would cause an earthquake that would destroy whatever was above them and Shay just went…
Alrighty then. He isn’t going to argue with the dragon of legends that can talk directly to his mind.
If Achilles still wants to take the POE, he can take it himself.
Achilles heard and believed the stories of the dragon, of course, so if the dragon says that then yeah… better order Shay to find all the other POEs in the manuscript and make sure they remain untouched for as long as possible then.
Desmond chills in the Grand Temple during Ratonhnhaké:ton’s time. His laser beam incinerates everything but does not have to give out any kind of flame at all so he can use it without worrying about accidentally causing forest fires which is nice. Desmond ‘kidnapped’ Ratonhnhaké:ton when he was a child but he let him go anyway so Ratonhnhaké:ton just started visiting him before he could kidnap him. The villagers believe that this means Ratonhnhaké:ton has been chosen by the dragon and it’s a chill dragon that’s only main problem is it likes to hoard feathers for some reason and that agitates all the other birds in the area.
Charles Lee… Charles Lee didn’t live too long in this one.
Also, Ratonhnhaké:ton doesn’t need a ship. He has a dragon!
Arno got captured by the dragon early on. The most embarrassing part was that the ‘knight’ who came to rescue him?
The pretty redhaired de la Serre girl he didn’t even know the name of.
And. It. Kept. Happening.
It’s gotten to the point that his father would check the dragon’s liar first if he can’t find his son and Uncle Pierre has started calling him ‘dragon bait’. He honestly preferred being called pisspot.
“Maybe this time you can finally ask her what her name is.”
“Shut up, Desmond.”
Jayadeep had to be the one to ‘save’ Jacob and Evie from the dragon that ‘kidnapped’ them. He knew the dragon had a liar underneath London and Henry had actually talked to the dragon twice now. He liked to be called Desmond and he was the same dragon as the one in the legends so he thought it wouldn’t take a long time for him to ask Desmond to give the twins back.
Unfortunately…
“Please, Evie, we need to go-”
“Just a few more minutes!” (gasp) “This is the first edition of the-”
“I found the rum! Lots of it! Hey, Desmond, can you get drunk?!”
“And this is the actual journal of Leonardo da Vinci, best known as an ally of our Brotherhood and- oh. Oh. Oooohhh… there’s a lot of nude sketches of a man in this one.”
“Where?! Trade you for a casket of rum?!”
“I thought you wanted to get Desmond drunk?”
“Right! Come on, Desmond. Let’s try and see if you can get drunk!”
Jayadeep sighed and left the hoard.
He’ll try again tomorrow.

What are your favorite 3-5 things about each Assassin's Creed game (can be anything from design, graphics, story, characters etc.) and some things you hate about each? (And tag some friends to share as well!)
I will try to keep these as short as possible.
Assassin’s Creed
What I love:
Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad
The atmosphere and setting
The focus on the mystery for both the Third Crusades and the Modern Day
Everything the Rafiq of Damascus says
What I hate:
THERE IS NO SUBTITLE. Who in Ubisoft thought that would be a fucking good idea???
Altaïr can’t swim and I have accidentally made him jump into the waters more times than I can count.
At least tell me which part of the map I haven’t gotten the goddamn flag is.
Assassin’s Creed 2
What I love:
The prologue with the Auditores. It really makes the tragedy all the more impactful.
Armor of Altaïr!
That one trick where you can snipe your target from the rooftops by killing other guards and making him go to that specific location. XD
Punch out with the pope in Vatican.
Desmond kicking ass in the ending.
What I hate:
Fuck you Thieves’ Guild Challenges and your fucking time limits.
Actually, fuck all time limit based challenges, I’m talking to you, yeah, you, Assassin Tombs challenges. If it wasn’t for my desire to have the Armor of Altaïr and getting the plat I would have had the strength to ignore you.
Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood
What I love:
Assassin recruits and how they can do your job for you.
I will forever love how my friend tried to get me to play AC Brotherhood by showing me how I can whack people using a broom XD
Claudia becoming an Assassin <3
What I hate:
The fall of Monteriggioni TTATT
The loss of the Armor of Altaïr TTATT
Fuck you, Cesare.
Assassin’s Creed Revelations
What I love:
Altaïr.
Darim.
Altaïr being an old man going for a walk while Masyaf is under attack and just summoning ghost Assassins to take care of the Mongols XD
All of Altaïr’s memory seals in general.
Ezio’s new outfit. Fuuurrrr.
That CGI opening. Say what you want about Ubisoft, they’re one of video game companies who make the best CGI videos and trailers.
Ezio singing in that minstrel outfit XD
Ezio finally seeing Desmond’s ‘picture’
What I hate:
Yusuf’s death TTATT
Sofia ending up as a damsel in distress in the final act. At least she got to drive the getaway wagon.
Altaïr dying all alone in an empty library TTATT
Assassin’s Creed 3
What I love:
Ratonhnhaké:ton, precious boi
Ratonhnhaké:ton and Haytham having different counters and finishers. It really shows how different they move and fight.
Being able to play as Desmond!
Desmond using the Apple to force the guards to kill Vidic then using it on anyone who tries to attack him.
What I hate:
That board game. I never understood how to play it.
The unchangeable end of Ratonhnhaké:ton’s people.
William Miles in general.
Juno in general.
The ending TTATT
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag
What I love:
100% sync means Edward must pickpocket the Templars while they were talking about their plans which meant he canonically pickpocket’ed them.
Sea shanties.
The sailing gameplay in general.
Freedom Cry!
What I hate:
Blackbeard’s and Mary’s death.
I love how this shows the end of the Pirates’ Golden Age but goddamn, I hate how most of them died. I cried at the ending when Anne was singing and it shows all the friends they lost.
The reminder that even that hopeful ending of Edward and Jenny sailing back to England and the epilogue with young Haytham is nothing but a prologue to the tragedy that would soon follow Haytham’s childhood.
Assassin’s Creed Rogue
What I love:
Mortars. Rain of fire! Just keep firing mortars while strafing even if Morrigan is underleveled!
Grenade launcher and just berserking everyone and letting them take care of everything.
Hope Jensen and her Assassin robes.
What I hate:
How Shay wouldn’t have defected if they had just all sat down and fucking talked to one another.
Fucking pigeons.
Hope’s death TTATT
Adéwalé’s death TTATT
Learning my PS4 controller cannot fully tilt so Shay was never sprinting after I almost gave up on the final mission because I couldn’t catch up to Liam and I only knew about it after switching to the controller that never recognize me pressing the ‘down’ button ever and finally seeing Shay sprint for the first time.
Assassin’s Creed Unity
What I love:
Arno, the poor wet silly man.
How it shows a different kind of Assassins and Templars with the Assassins actually trying to stop the revolution while the Templars are off having a civil war with the moderates and the radicals.
The detective sidequests.
How Paris changes as the main story is progressed and the Revolution starts in full swing.
Getting the Eagle of Suger before finishing the main game and dlc and using it to make open combat easier (and one I usually wrongly write as Sugar)
What I hate:
Germaine as the final antagonist felt meh for me.
The cliché love interest dies in his arms that Ubisoft is very fond of.
Being unable to see the most horrifying glitches first hand XD
Okay, in all seriousness, how the whole trailer of Arno and the three Assassins was just a promotion for the multiplayer aspect. It would have been nice if they were part of the storyline as well.
Chevalier de Leon being a sidequest character only :(
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate
What I love:
Evie and her chameleon stealth skill XD
Jack the Ripper DLC
Everything about the Kenway manor.
Desmond the Dog <3
Lydia’s missions and the map.
What I hate:
Having to get 1st place on the carriage horses to get the platinum
The ending of the modern day where Rebecca gets shot and it's just… taken care of in the background later on.
This being the final game we see Juno being a threat and then she gets off’ed in the comics.
Assassin’s Creed Origins
What I love:
Bayek in general
Bayek using the Apple to bash a man’s head repeatedly
The cat sidequest XD
The fact that you can do the loot boxes using ingame currencies that they never implemented in Odyssey or Valhalla.
Discovery Mode.
Unicamel
What I hate:
Khemu’s death :(
Cleopatra betraying them. I knew it was going to happen, I still hated it though.
Ubisoft deciding to change how Amunet killed Cleopatra from actively killing her to just handing her the poison so she could kill herself.
Not being able to change Aya’s gear in her missions. I’d even be okay to locking it so I can only pick the so many twin daggers I have in my inventory!
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
What I love:
Kassandra shoving the cyclop’s eye in a goat’s ass and having a trophy pop up if you kill the actual goat and get the eye back.
Barnabas
The fire armor and weapon set that lets me kill enemies 10+ levels above me by just watching them burn.
The 'you fucked my padre and killed my madre' sidequest
What I hate:
Brasidas’ death TTATT
Phoebe’s death TTATT
I am so tired of the portrayal of Hades and Persephone’s relationship as being toxic and abusive.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
What I love:
Hytham
Being able to upgrade Ravensthorpe.
Orlog… I don’t know why but I enjoyed it.
France DLC with the semi-sandbox way you can assassinate targets.
What I hate:
Fuck the rock physics of this game.
The reason they decided to give Eivor so she would leave Ravensthorpe in the final chapter.
Actually, Final Chapter in general. The only thing I enjoyed in that one is learning Hytham is now teaching his own recruits.
Ragnarok DLC being a separate DLC that isn’t covered by the Season Pass.
(I haven’t finished Mirage yet so I can’t add it here, sorry)
uuuhhh, I guess I'll tag... @saberamane, and @thedragonqueen1998?
