At this rate y'all should all just give up on shipping or relationship speculation I love joking about Jarchie/Beronica Real but the show is so unconcerned with letting the core characters be friends with each other that considering any platonic or romantic dynamic outside of the on-screen canon is a pointless task at least while the fifties shit is still happening
#riverdale#riverdale spoilers#they cant be friends with each others friends either#whens the last time toni or fangs spoke to jughead or archie. like spoke and did things and schemed together.#when ethel showed up at prom i was like YES we are getting ethel and jughead mystery solving and then it DIDN'T HAPPEN#nothing is happening outside of tepid romance drama and that's not the riverdale i know and love what HAPPENED

5x06 Reaction
JARCHIE!!! I missed their interactions so much... like honestly in S4 they barely spoke. I’m loving the “roommates” dynamic.
Ok the kevin/fangs/toni apartment(?) is... amazing!!
I love how they hired actual teenagers (or close to it) to play the high school kids... since all the “teachers” were playing high school students, what, 3 episodes ago??
Ok mechanic Betty is SO HOT
DORITOS I AM CRYING AT THIS PRODUCT PLACEMENT
Veronica’s taking over the Blue Velvet!!! Why not reuse that set lmao
Thoughts on this initial barchie interaction:
I’ve seen all the discourse about it seeming like Archie doesn’t care about Betty’s problems, or not taking them seriously, and people comparing Archie’s “oof - that sucks” to jughead’s “white noise” speech in 1x08 (which I thought was cringy AF and I even liked b*ghead at the time) and here’s what I’ll say:
His “oof - that sucks” comment as MATCHING Betty’s tone - she says it kind of matter of factly and with a bit of an eyeroll, she does NOT seem very upset about it, and she is a grown ass adult who DOESN’T need Archie’s condolences in that moment - and Archie knows that.
She then brings up Polly, and Archie ASKS A FOLLOW UP QUESTION: “didn’t your mom say she does this? Takes off for a couple of days” which shows that he is referring to a previous conversation about this - they’ve BEEN talking about it and he DOES care (not to mention they showed that he had texted her about Polly at the end of the last episode)
She says she’s trying not to panic - because she knows this is something Polly does and may not actually be in danger - SO HE OFFERS A DISTRACTION during a time when she is basically asking for one, and then SHE COMES UP WITH THE IDEA OF WHERE TO GO HAVE SEX
Anyway I have argued with enough people on twitter about this lol.. I feel strongly. Also, this scene was super cute and both Archie and Betty look so good in it.
I love Tabitha. Smart, enterprising, witty... I’m all for the Jugitha pairing. (seriously though, is a ship name decided for them? I’ve seen Tabhead and Jabitha as well, lol.
Uhhhhh ok this car sex scene? It somehow feels even more explicit than the shower scene?? The moaning and breathing?? HOW DARE THESE STONEWALL KIDS INTERRUPT THIS
LMAO NIGHT JOGGING
Is it just me or is Sheriff Keller looking really hot? Silver fox??
I have to note that Archie’s hair colour looks SO BAD in this whole episode but especially this football scene with the Reggie confrontation. It’s like, almost burgundy? But somehow bright orange at the same time? I hate it.
Ok Cole is absolutely nailing this “down on his luck, beaten down” adult Jughead. His character is funny all the sudden?? I love that he kept the money in the tip jar like OF COURSE
Ok Chad coming into Veronica’s class HE’S THE WORST!!! And then SITTING AT THE BACK I HATE HIM SO MUCH FOR THIS
Alright, now we have another scene that has people talking, which is where Archie meets Chad. My thoughts:
Archie clearly sizes up Chad. I mean, he dated Veronica for 3-ish years (in the show’s timeline) so yeah, it’s normal to meet your ex’s new partner and size them up. It read more like “he thinks Chads a douche” as opposed to “he’s jealous of Chad because he wants to be with V”.
They show makes a point of showing Betty’s reaction to them meeting. THIS SHOT IS NOT RANDOM. Yes, I’m sure the show will go there, she’ll get jealous of V at some point. Betty thinking that Archie is jealous of Chad is not the same as Archie actually being jealous of Chad.
I kind of loved how Chad just jumps in here to join in the karaoke night - he didn’t redeem himself from the previous scene where he SAT IN THE BACK OF HER CLASS WHILE SHE WORKED but I like how they’re not playing him completely evil
Next scene: BETTY AND TONI ARE TALKING!!! I REPEAT!!! BETTY AND TONI ARE TALKING!!! Seriously, it’s so refreshing that they’re actually letting all kinds of new dynamics and character interactions happen this season.
Also, NEDSLIST!!!! THIS SHOW!!!!
I am living for Cheryl being completely beautiful whilst yelling at construction workers.
So like... she actually doesn’t have that much money. She couldn’t really afford the donation for the school... I kind of wish that once she says “I can’t afford it” people would like, not keep pushing? I’m looking at you Toni, whom I absolutely adore, I just wish the writers didn’t make it like Cheryl’s being squeezed dry. I get that it’s needed for plot purposes but I don’t love it.
Kevin and Betty are friends again!!! Love it!!!
Karaoke night thoughts:
At no point is Jughead hanging out or interacting with the rest of the group. He stays separate from them - with Tabitha, which I appreciate, but I am just noting this because I’m sure it was done purposefully.
“She probably forgot it’s Gekko now” uhhhh didn’t Toni announce V as “Veronica Gekko” in the last episode?? LOL THE SHADE
I love Veronica’s voice
Ok so Chad actually comes off so great in this scene?? I guess this is part of his manipulation - come off as such a great guy in front of all her friends to get them to like him?
Jughead’s reaction to the duet is so me every time I’ve watched people do karaoke lmao
During the “or do you need more? Is there something else you’re searching for” they cut to Archie’s and Betty’s reaction. Archie is not thinking about V in that moment.
I am not seeing one iota of jealousy from Archie. He looks genuinely happy for them.
This Chad and Veronica bed scene makes me uncomfortable. But I’m glad they’re showing their softer moments!
The Archie/football recruitment sequence... Chad in the back of Veronica’s classroom again??? HOW IS THIS HAPPENING I HATE THIS!! Also, this is another scene where Chad looks jealous of Archie... not the other way around.
Britta!!! I love her. And I feel like the writers inserted her in specifically for Britta Lundin, former Riverdale writer and acclaimed author (read her book Ship It, seriously, it’s so good), and I love that. BUT THE WAY ARCHIE LOOKS AT BETTY IN THIS SCENE IS THAT EVEN LEGAL
We get the first glimpse Toni’s “Operation Bring Cheryl Out Of Hiding” plan here, when Archie asks her for funding for the football team and says its earmarked for something else (hmmmmmmm... this plan has been in the works for a while... and I’m here for it)
Ok. This scene where Archie goes to ask Cheryl for money is... a mess. My first reaction is that it was so OOC for Archie to bring up Jason in that way. Then I got to thinking... Archie probably would want to honour his dad in that way and was genuinely suggesting that as something that might actually be helpful to her, as opposed to purposely trying to manipulate her. He knows what it’s like to lose a family member, he just didn’t realize that Cheryl doesn’t grieve in the same way. The boy doesn’t have a malicious bone in his body. Anyway, now he’s been banished from Thornhill! But don’t we see him (and everyone) there in a bts photo from possibly 5x08? Isn’t that at Thornhill? Will this be addressed or will the writers just forget it ever happened?
I love Betty and Kevin investigating together. It’s so refreshing.
Ok this place Jughead is going to is legit the creepiest shit I’ve ever seen. I am having trouble making myself care about this “Mothmen” plot??
Betty’s “Straight to the Point” interrogation style is actually effective in this truck stop stakeout scene.
Alice again with her wine... I wonder if there will actually be an “Alice is an alcoholic” storyline or is the wine just part of her personality now?
Ok like it’s so inappropriate for a teacher to be wearing an HBIC shirt BUT I AM HERE FOR THIS DRAMATIC VIXENS HALLWAY WALK!! And Toni is correct, Cheer is a sport so sit down, Archie. Notably Toni adds in “not even Cheryl managed to do that” - I’m thinking she new Ms. Bell would be eavesdropping ;)
WHY IS THIS PORTAIT OF JASON WORTH SO MUCH??
Is this Minerva character going to be important?? I keep seeing people talking about how she and Cheryl are going to hook up but is that just because she’s a female character who interacts with Cheryl? I’m not seeing it yet but hey, it’s Riverdale.
JUGHEAD BRINGING UP THE EPIC HIGHS AND LOWS OF HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL I SCREAMED
Seriously though, since we know Jughead wasn’t there when Archie said that, there’s two options: Either Archie told him he said it, or (my preferable theory) Archie used to just SAY THAT REGULARLY and has said it in front of Jug lmao.
Chad again seems legit supportive when she tells him about her jewelry store plan?? THEY’RE SO UP AND DOWN!!!
Ok, so Betty is an FBI agent (trainee, whatever) and she JUST NOW THOUGHT OF TRACING POLLY’S CELL PHONE
This scene... when Veronica finds out Chad has been talking to Hiram behind her back... this is where she decides she’s done with Chad.
Another scene with Archie - I am still getting zero vibes that he’s into Veronica? And zero vibes that Veronica’s into Archie? It makes complete sense that Veronica would want to help the bulldogs. Chad is a total dick here and is definitely threatened by Archie... again, not the other way around. Side note: Chad, if threatened by Archie, is a TOTAL IDIOT for suggesting Archie renovates the Pembrooke - like, he’s going to be working? All the time? Where Veronica is staying? And probably taking his shirt off because he’s sweaty from all the working?? WHYYYYY WOULD CHAD ENCOURAGE THIS
This little flirty scene between Jughead and Tabitha (and it’s the first that I would say has any flirty undertones whatsoever) is pretty cute.
THIS BARCHIE PORCH SCENE I HAVE THOUGHTS
The fact that people are suggesting Betty showed up there because she wanted to talk to Jughead is SENDINNNNGGGGGG
Let’s be clear, she only asked about Jughead so she could make sure he wasn’t home so that she could bone Archie. There is no other interpretation for this.
THIS IS THE BEST BARCHIE KISS TO DATE
They are playing the song from the porch scene in the pilot... DON’T TELL ME BARCHIE IS MEANINGLESS WHEN THEY ARE USING THIS SONG
I think the fact that this is the first time they had sex and we didn’t see it is meaningful - they are showing that the relationship is deepening and they are more than “just sex”
As Betty leaves, Archie looks like he wants to reach out for her and then stops himself - he is definitely falling hard and he’s afraid Betty isn’t feeling the same way
Ok, Cheryl is straight up wearing lingerie in Toni’s office!!! And the red lipstick is back - notably, throughout the entire show, she has worn the red lipstick as a kind of shield - she never has it for her “vulnerable” scenes. Seems like that is still happening. AND this is where we see Boss Toni’s plan come into fruition - she started up the vixens and MADE SURE CHERYL FOUND OUT ABOUT IT because she knew that was the one thing that would make Cheryl come out of her Thornhill hiding spot. Well played, Toni.
Archie and Veronica announcing the bulldog funding... again, I’m not seeing ANY “romantic/attraction” vibes here? He does react when she says her last name is Lodge again but like, anyone would?
MS. BELL YOU GOSSIP I’M OK WITH YOU REPORTING TO CHERYL BUT I DRAW THE LINE AT HIRAM
Is Reggie... filing his nails? Lmao
I really hope Polly isn’t dead?? Like I very much want a Polly redemption story!!
Sooooo I guess Archie and Jughead are both going to die in this fire? Lol... well... they’re main characters so I’m sure they’re good.
I’m doooone for this week! So far really enjoying the timejump? Obviously because of barchie but also, everyone is just - better.
Well this turned out to be a novel. If you made it this far, thanks for reading :)

Several loud thuds woke you. Rubbing your eyes you tried to figure out if something dangerous had broken into your house, or if the usual southsiders had cut through the garden and knocked a decoration over outside.
When nothing else happened you decided at least, you should heave yourself up to your window and see what was happening. Your house was built at an odd angle, meaning half of the house was on the Northside and half on the Southside. The only downside to the odd placement of the house was, on the rare occasion, a few serpents who knew you from school would hide in the garden shed.
Shed was an unforgiving term for the hellish dump where all the rejected furniture and old paint cans went. Seeing the light was on you decided to see what was going on. When you reached your back door and pulled it open you froze stiff. The cold whistled around and clawed at you so viciously that you almost considered not going outside. Fumbling for a coat that was on the hook and slipping on a pair of shoes you shuffled through the damp grass to the shed.
Pushing in through the cracked door you saw a familiar figure hulked over in one of the old chairs. One of its legs was broken but if you were tall enough you could sit in the chair and stop it wobbling.
“Sweet Pea?” You asked nervously. Usually you were a last chance hideout when the cops were looking for them. But this time he was alone. He was also sniffling to himself and had swiped his hands over his eyes before turning to glare at you. “Why do you have my pumpkin?” You asked when you stepped closer and saw he had it balanced in one hand.
“All the kids are gone, no one needed it and the candle went out.” He answered quickly.
“Are you eating raw pumpkin with a spoon?” You asked him, frowning when you realised he had a spoon in the other hand.
“So what if I am! You gonna ditch me for Reggie too?” He snapped and jabbed the spoon towards you viciously.
“No? But… there are pumpkin cookies inside…” You offered wearily he gave you a hard stare from his seat. The wind whipped around the shed, making you jump when the door banged causing the small light in the shed to flicker. “Did Fangs and Jughead ditch you?”
“Yeah.” Sweet Pea answered. He still sounded as if he had a sharp bite to his tone but it had softened reluctantly. “Me and Fangs watch horror movies with Toni after we go trick or treating with Jughead. They’re off with their Northsider friends. Girlfriends. No one cares about tradition!”
“Well, you could finish off the Halloween candy, watch a movie inside?” You offered and he gave you a funny look.
“You’re actually inviting me inside?” He asked and started to grin.
“You’ve been inside before!”
“I’d been attacked and we needed you to call FP.”
“Oh… yeah… you bled all over that rug. FP had to make up this big whole story with the serpent's dog… My parents were not happy.” You trailed off as he stood up and handed you what was left of your neatly carved pumpkin.
“So what movie are we watching?” He asked, strolling towards your house as he spoke. You hurried after him and watched as he let himself in like he owned the place, looking around before he nodded approvingly. By the time you’d set the pumpkin down on the back porch and hurried over to him he was rummaging through your fridge.
“Nothing too scary! My parents are out with FP doing that whole neighbourhood patrol, keep the town safe this Halloween for the kids thing. They said to him that they could be out all night. They even booked tomorrow off work.”
“So we’re home alone. All night. You know what that means!” He said as he grinned. He pulled a punnet of grapes from your fridge and leant against the kitchen counter, eyeing the pile of Halloween candy that was left.
“We’re definitely going to be those two lone kids that gets murdered first and Betty will figure out who it was a no one will believe her but Jughead and FP and then the bad guy murders FP and gets Betty but in a crazy house and Jughead goes crazy finding them and then he has to murder the murdere to avenbged all the people they killed.” You said quickly. Your breath had been rapid as you spoke and your eyes seemed to get wider and wider as you stared at a spot on one of his boots. You were still breathing a little heavily as you spoke and Sweet Pea paused mid way through popping a grape in his mouth to give you a weirded out look.
“Ok crazy pants. I’m gonna get FP to check on us in a little while and urm… Here you have a cookie. Let’s get you a blanket and some cartoons.” Sweet Pea dumped the grapes on the side, handing you the plate of cookies and led you into your living room, which he vaguely remembered Jughead dragging him into.
“There you go you sit down here.” He said and patted you on the head when he wasn’t sure how to comfort you. “I guess even the well adjusted can’t handle the fourth serial killer this year.” He muttered as he headed to the house phone to call FP. He groaned when he realised the phone wasn’t working. FP had said some phone lines on the Northside were downed because of the storm the morning before. He hadn’t figured your house would have been one affected. “Can I borrow your phone?” He asked and you pointed to the house phone in his hand. “Yeah… like your mobile the house phone is…”
“The lines have been cut. We’re going to be murdered Sweet Pea, that's what they do!” You said, starting to panic again.
“Cause storms that damage phone lines?” he asked sarcastically.
“They get rid of the phones and then they come up behind you and attack.” You said firmly.
“Honestly. I feel like you’re a little on edge. Ok, you came out of the shed just fine. It’s a spooky night, you’re thinking about horror movies and yes, there is a dangerous guy out there but why would he want to kill us?” As he spoke you started to calm down, unitil thunder clapped overhead and the lights went out.
“Well fuck.” Sweet Pea grumbled when you clamped yourself onto his side and squeezed.
“I don’t want to get murdered.” You whispered.
“Neither do I. Will you let go so I can find my torch.”
“Torch! Betty says not to upset you because you have a knife and you get real stabby why can’t you use that!” You whispered as something creaked.
“Or I could get the torch in my pocket and find your fuse box.” He said as if you’d offended him a little. You squeezed harder when a distinct shadow moved across the doorway that led to the kitchen.
“Sweet Pea!” You whispered in a strangled squeak.
“Yeah I saw it too, try and get to the window.” He muttered, pulling you so that you would duck down and blend in a little better with the darkness that filled the room.
“Found them.” Someone said as something grabbed your shoulder. You squealed and tried to yank yourself away, knocking Sweet Pea off his feet and landing on one of his legs.
“Are you guys ok?” Jughead asked as he shone a torch on your both.
“Jones. What’re you doing breaking into (Y/N)’s house!?” Sweet Pea said with a grunt as he shoved you off him and got to his feet.
“We were looking for you guys. The storm got really bad.” Toni said as she turned on her own torch, revealing Cheryl who had grabbed you. The lights flickered on as Betty hurried into the room.
“The power surge tripped the wires but it’s fixed.” She said to Jughead who nodded. “Your parents said it’s ok to evacuate any southsiders away from the river up to your house. The river is flooding and a lot of the roads are blocked off… also the Riverdale strangler hit again. FP and your parents are up at the hospital with the victim.”
“Don’t freak out!” Sweet Pea said quickly as you started to get the panicky look in your eyes again. “It’s just these guys, they wound’t murder us.”
You jumped when the front door opened and Kevin hurried in with armfuls of belingins and Fangs followed behind with Reggie and Veronica all carrying boxes of food with Pop’s written on the side.
“Tell you what, I’ll take (Y/N) with me to gather supplies with V. Is it ok if we set up for the main group to sleep in your room?” She directed the last part to you and you nodded. Toni and Cheryl hurried up to set out air beds on the floor while Betty led you out to Archies van. “Are you ok? Your parents said you were fine when they left you.”
“I guess I’m a little more freaked out than I thought. It’s kind of scary being alone.” You admitted and she hugged you. You felt Veronica join the hug.
“Well, you’re not alone in the house anymore. Serpents are outside, we have a huge tent and outdoor heaters just for tonight. A lot of the trailers flooded so we’ll all be here for a while.” Betty assured you.
“Plus, Pop will be staying too. Milkshakes on tap.” Veronica joked as you climbed in the back of Archies van with them. He had a list of people to check in on ready for when Betty came back. He started the truck but paused as he saw Jughead on the porch throw his hands up as Sweet Pea hurried over.
“You guys are checking in on people, picking up supplies and stuff right?” He asked.
“Yeah, so.” Archie asked dubiously. Betty and Veronica shared a look with each other when Sweet Pea glanced at you, then got in the truck.
“I’ll help. Like these guys will lug the heavy stuff in the back.” He glanced at you in the rear-view mirror before frowning at Betty who caught his eye and smirked knowingly at him, putting her arm around you as Archie pulled away from your house that now had a trail of people coming in and out, ordered around by Jughead.

17.12, kissing booth, sweetpea
Title: kissing booth
Theme: holiday carnival/fair
Fandom / Character(s):Riverdale, Sweetpea x OFC, Alyssa Andrews
Warnings: Swearing, Sweetpea being a smartass, Reggie being an antagonist, and floofy kisses.
Word Count: uhh.. 1k-ish?, roughly.
Look.. I blame my niece for getting sucked into this show and fandom to begin with. I guess I just have a connection and deep love for grouchy types, because when Sweetpea was first introduced I was instantly hooked on the character. This is my daily entry for @champbucks 12 days of Christmas. Hope you guys enjoy it. I had a blast writing it. I guess sometimes it’s just fun to write something that’s not purely related to a thirst I happen to have, who woulda thunk it, huh?
Also, again.. I made the banner for this. Don’t steal or repost.
TAGGING:
There’s actually nobody on my riverdale tag list. If you’d like to be on it, let me know on my main to add you or click the lil link below and add thyself.

“Oh come on!” Cheryl pouted, tapping her foot impatiently because she knows full well that I’m the only person her demanding and bossing around doesn’t work on. In fact, it usually makes me dig my heels in even more.
“I said I’m not doing it. Why do you want me to take two hours at the booth anyway, Cheryl? We both know there’s probably no one in Riverdale who will line up to kiss me. Can’t Betty or Veronica take the extra hour?” I eyed her, a brow raised.
“Actually, that’s where you’d be wrong, Alyssa. I have proof that you’re the one they’d rather have in the booth for an extra hour.” Cheryl dug around in her backpack and produced a piece of paper. I eyed her and then it, taking it with an amused laugh. “Right. You totally just fabricated this. I’m not doing it, Cheryl. Nope.”
From nearby, Toni spoke up.
“Doing what? What’d I miss?”
Cheryl beamed and went into Toni’s arms, hugging her, taking the paper back from me to show Toni and the two shared a laugh.
And then both of their gazes settled on me expectantly.
“Ah fuck. Look, I said I’d do an hour. That’s absolutely it. I’m already going to spend most of that kissing freshmen or something, shit. That paper proves absolutely nothing, by the way.” I nodded to the paper that Toni was now holding in her hands.
“We don’t have time to argue this. Jughead took Betty home and your brother’s spirited Veronica away. Everyone else has gone.”
“So have I. And I’m still not over that sophomore with the Hoover suction. Do you know that little shit tried to cop a feel?”
“Waaaa.” Cheryl mimicked. Toni leaned in, whispering into her ear and then Cheryl muttered “Interesting.” as her gaze fixed on me again. As Toni walked off, I pinched the bridge of my nose and eyed the empty chair. The booth was on a break right now. The line was pretty small.
Riverdale High needed the money. Taking on a whole other student body recently had pretty much depleted the school’s funds. Everyone else on my team had already gone. I eyed Cheryl as I mulled it over. “Is anyone else going twice?”
“Actually, both Toni and I are. Cheek kisses only, of course.” Cheryl gave me a pleading grin as her words fell away.
I felt a little better knowing that I wouldn’t be the only one being offered up for sacrifice twice. I tapped my foot and dragged my fingers through long red hair, giving it a tug. “Fine.”
Cheryl hugged me and I laughed, letting her. Even hugging back just slightly. “I’ll go take my seat I guess. But I’m telling you, my second turn is going to be a total bust.”
I caught sight of Toni talking to Fangs and Sweetpea over by the hot chocolate booth and I bit my lip, my gaze lingering on Sweetpea for just a few seconds longer than it should’ve.
,, My fantasy kiss is not gonna happen. I can hang it up.”
That was my last thought before flopping into the chair positioned behind our booth. And nearly as soon as the few people waiting realized that the line was opening up again, they started to push to the front slowly. One or two walked away.
My phone buzzed in my pocket. Three times. Then a fourth. But I wanted to just get my second turn in the kissing booth over with because I’d pretty much resigned myself to the fact that like my first turn, I’d have mostly underclassmen in my line. Or friends of my brother Archie. Luckily my brothers friends seemed okay with just a hug and a peck on the cheek. I hadn’t had to actually… Lock actual lips with anyone.
XXX
Sweetpea watched as Alyssa took her seat at the kissing booth a second time. Toni wandered over, tapping her best friend’s shoulder and nodding towards the booth. “Are you gonna stare all afternoon or grow a pair and get in line, Pea?”
“I’m not taking part in… that shit.” Sweetpea nodded his head in the direction of the booth. Toni reached into her back pocket and smirked to herself while Sweetpea was busy watching Alyssa Andrews get settled into the booth for her second go. “Yeah? Well if you won’t.. I have a long list of guys that Cheryl has spoken to who all seem to say that they’re more than happy to.”
She unfolded the paper right as Sweetpea heard her and focused. He reached for the paper, snatching it from her hands. His eyes darted over the poll and sign up sheet and then settled back on the red-head currently manning the kissing booth.
When his eyes got to Reggie’s name on the list at least three times, his fists clenched tight. He tugged at the collar of his tee shirt. It wasn’t a secret that Alyssa and Reggie liked to flirt back and forth and frankly, it was something that annoyed Sweetpea continuously. To a point where lately, it caused him to stay constantly irritated.
Especially when she’d blow off their little gang of friends to go on drives with Reggie.. Or study. Or grab a milkshake at Pop’s.
“She’s only doing this because she’s part of that stupid cheer thing.” he said it to himself, mostly to keep himself from doing something stupid and crazy and marching over, dragging her away from that booth and telling her that the only guy she needed to kiss was right in front of her. And had been for months now.
“Actually, she volunteered. And she’s the only one people have specifically asked for twice.” Toni shrugged as she tried to stop the laughter. Sure it was a small fabrication in details, but Sweetpea didn’t know that, nor did he need to. What he did need right now was a nudge. Because for one thing, Toni was beyond done with seeing him mope over Josie and their little fling ending. For another, the tension in the room between Sweetpea and Alyssa lately when they were all hanging out was almost unbearable. And rather than stand back and watch her grumpy idiot of a best guy friend let a chance at actual happiness pass him by, she was determined that today was the day. She was going to give him that loving but firm little nudge in the right direction.
Because lately, Alyssa was starting to think that Sweetpea didn’t feel the same way about her as she did about him, hence all the dates with Reggie Mantle. Toni was also sick of watching Alyssa try to feign happiness when lately, she’d been down. Because every attempt she’d made thus far to tell Sweetpea how she felt wound up Sweetpea, bringing up Josie in conversation.. Or lately, with Alyssa just talking herself right out of it altogether.
Something needed to happen, otherwise someone was going to explode.
Reggie Mantle wandered over, getting into the line for the kissing booth. Sweetpea looked as if it were taking literally every single shred of willpower he possessed not to storm over and make a scene, especially when Reggie smooth-talked his way right to the front of the line almost.
“You know she’s only going out with him a lot more lately because the guy she really wants ahs made himself so hard to be around that we all wanna strangle him most of the time now.. Right?”
“You’re lying.”
“Yeah? Let me show you something.” Toni grabbed her phone and held it out. “Have a read at our text history, Pea. See for yourself.”
Sweetpea took the phone reluctantly. At first, he was skeptical. By the middle of the most recent conversation, about Alyssa blowing them off to hang at the quarry in favor of going to watch Reggie at football practice because he asked and Alyssa admitting that maybe it was time she… Moved on. Got over her huge crush on Sweetpea… He wanted to kick himself.
His eyes fixed on the booth and his jaw set firm.
He knew her well enough to know that she’d never own up to anything she’d admitted to Toni in the texts. And he knew that lately, he’d made it almost unbearable to be around him. Picking fights with her, grilling her about pretty much everything. Just purposely being an ass.
His pride was going to cost him a shot with her if he didn’t swallow it soon. And the thought was not a pleasant one when it settled in his mind.
“Nothing to say, Pea?” Toni teased, flashing him a smirk as soon as she managed to break through his thoughts and gain his attention for a second or two. Sweetpea dragged his hand over his hair, taking a breath or two. Reggie was just about to the front of the line. His gaze fixed on Alyssa, almost as if he were willing her to look at him. Catch him staring.
“If you really want her to know how you feel and not have any doubts, you know what to do.”
Toni’s statement had Sweetpea wandering over to the line for the kissing booth. What Reggie Mantle had in charm, Sweetpea made up for in sheer intimidation skill and a second or two later, Reggie scowled as Sweetpea wound up right behind him in line.
“The hell are you doing, Serpent?”
“I know what you’re not gonna do, Mantle.”
Reggie whirled around, staring Sweetpea up and down. “You think so, huh? Watch and see.”
“I don’t fucking think so.” Sweetpea towered over Reggie, his fists shoved safely inside his leather jacket.
From the front, Alyssa cleared her throat. “It’s,uhh.. It’s your turn, Reggie.” she bit her lip as she looked back and forth between Reggie and Sweetpea. Sweetpea caught her gaze and held it, biting his lip.
After a little digging, he found a badly wadded twenty dollar bill.
Reggie sauntered up to the booth and slipped a five dollar bill down, giving Alyssa a playful gaze as he leaned in for the kill.
And Sweetpea’s fists clenched even tighter in his pocket. He barely managed to bite back a growl. And after about five seconds, he cleared his throat and spoke up, addressing Reggie.
“You’re holding up the damn line, Mantle.”
“I paid, Sweetpea. What are you even doing in the line to begin with, huh? Didn’t we have a talk about this Friday afternoon?” Reggie was body to body with him until Cheryl hurried over.
“Break it up you two!”
XXX
I think when I saw Sweetpea wandering over, my heart fluttered a little and I tensed up all in the same breath. I honestly thought he was coming over just to start something. To heckle me for offering myself up to do this. He looked mad.
Or I thought he did, at least.
When he didn’t start with the heckling and instead, intimidated about ten of the guys waiting in line to let him go before them, I found myself having a harder time focusing on the task at hand. A guy named Ben who played basketball with Archie every few weekends came up and put a dollar into the basket, chuckling as I rose to tiptoe and gave him a friendly and slightly awkward cheek kiss. He pulled me into a hug and muttered into my ear, “The rowdier guys are still waitin, red.. If you want me to hang around… Hell, maybe I should. Archie would kick my ass if somebody got out of line with his kid sister.”
“Ben, I’ll be fine. I’m perfectly capable of handling things.” I explained, giving him a gentle smile and thanking him for the offer because his heart was in the right place. Reggie was next and I took a deep breath.
Truth be told, I was a little irritated because Reggie doing this made it kind of clear that Reggie was just going to try and find ways to skirt around any boundary I set. I got that this was in good fun, but there was a perfectly good reason I hadn’t really… Kissed him yet. Even when he’s tried to initiate at least two or three times now and each time, I’ve politely declined.
If this were a few months ago, I’d have jumped at the chance. I was shocked at myself when we were sitting in front of my dad’s house and he tried to kiss me the first time and I didn’t go for it then, if I’m being perfectly honest.
Because I’ve always had a soft spot for my brother’s friend Reggie. I guess that’s when it really hit me… After I met Sweetpea, a lot of things changed. And my feelings for Reggie just kind of slowly died.
The argument between Reggie and Sweetpea caught my attention and if I had any actual hope left of Sweetpea being into me like that, it would’ve grown as I listened to the words being exchanged back and forth before clearing my throat.
As I got their attention and for a few seconds, they glared one another down, I found myself kind of wondering what Sweetpea was up to. I honestly hadn’t even thought he’d show up at the carnival. I mean yeah, Toni most likely dragged him, but… He’s in line… For the kissing booth. And not just any line, my line.
My brain seemed to start working then and it hit me that in a few seconds, I was going to have to kiss Sweetpea.
,, I’ll give him a peck on the cheek. Because if I had my way and gave him a real kiss, things would get so awkward between us, holy shit..” the decision was made and I felt a little better.
Reggie finally approached the table and I bit my lip, eyeing him. I could feel Sweetpea’s intent stare burning a hole right through me, even as I pretended to be happy and interested in the kiss I was about to give Reggie.
Maybe knowing Sweetpea was watching was what made me decide to settle with a clumsy corner of the mouth kiss. Reggie muttered quietly against my mouth, “Red?”
“Sorry, I just.. I thought I could but I can’t.” I muttered so that Reggie could hear me.
Reggie gave an understanding nod and smiled, shrugging “It’s cool. Do you wanna meet up later?”. I shrugged and told him I’d text him when I left the carnival if I felt up to hanging out or going to Pops and he walked away from the kissing booth, leaving me frustrated at myself and panicking a little because naturally, Sweetpea was next.
For a few seconds, I felt bad about the half hearted attempt. Especially when I thought back on just how wrapped up in Josie Sweetpea had been and just how little I’d given him hell for it in comparison to how much hell he’s put me through for going on a date or two with Reggie lately.
I zoned out a little, mostly just trying to pull myself together and in that time, Sweetpea stepped up and smacked a 20 dollar bill down on top of the table, gazing down at me expectantly as he swallowed hard and dragged his hand over his hair.
I eyed the 20 dollar bill and eyed him. “I,uhh.. A kiss on the cheek is only a dollar.”
,, you seriously open your mouth and say that?”
“Obviously, that’s not what I got in line for, princess.” Sweetpea muttered quietly, licking his lips as his gaze settled on mine. I gulped and I swear, it felt as if all the air got sucked right out of the space between us. I dragged my hand through my hair and raised a brow as his eyes left my lips and settled on mine, locking me in a gaze.
“Is this a joke?” I muttered quietly, dazed.
“I believe somebody once told me I have zero sense of humor, so no. No it’s not, doll. You gonna kiss me or not? I paid.” Sweetpea’s tone took on a hint of teasing and I felt my stomach starting to flop lazily, just like it always does when he’s in the rare mood to tease and make it hard for me to tell whether he’s flirting or just being a teasing ass.
I usually play safe and put my money in him simply being a teasing ass, but right now, I wasn’t sure what he was up to at all.
The way he was looking at me right now did not feel like Sweetpea teasing. The look in his eyes was downright hungry.
“I..”
From the back, Reggie heckled. “What the hell makes you think she wants your disgusting Serpent mouth on her, man?”
I grumbled to myself quietly, frustrated because apparently, I was going to freeze up. “You don’t have to..” I trailed off. Sweetpea chuckled to himself and leaned across the booth, his hand tangling in the hair at the back of my neck, tugging at a handful as he pulled my mouth against his. His tongue trailed slowly over the outline of my lips and I whimpered quietly. The palm I had resting flat against his leather jacket wound up curling in it instead. His hand settled on my hip, guiding me partially over the table and halfway out the opening of the booth that we’d been leaning through.
I could feel my face heating up as people started to catcall and whistle and slow clap. When somebody said “Oh shit. Listen man, I don’t wanna die, I think I’ll just.. Wait for Cheryl to take over in a little bit.” I barely heard it, but I couldn’t help smiling into the kiss.
The kiss broke and I slowly raised my hand to my mouth, wiping the back of it across. I was beyond stunned at the moment. At a total and complete loss for words. But when Sweetpea leaned back in and pecked my cheek before whispering with a laugh, “Go on.. Finish working your kissing booth, princess.” and copped a feel, I bit my lip before pouting at him.
“What’s that mean?”
“It means, I’m gonna stick around. Keep these fuckin knuckleheads left in line from getting too much enjoyment, princess.”
“Oh, it does, hm?”
“I mean.. Unless you have a different idea as to why I kissed you like that, Red.” Sweetpea teased, smirking at me for a few seconds.
I eyed him and he muttered quietly, “Later.. We’ll talk, doll. The kiss was just something to think about.”
And somehow, god help me, I don’t think I’ll be able to get it off my mind for the rest of my time left to go in this booth...

Shadow Of A Doubt (revised)
As I have said before, I decided to re-write the Shadow of a Doubt series, mainly because my writing was horrible when I did it and i hated how I wrote it. I’m officially all caught up on Riverdale and got inspiration to write for Riverdale again.
Here’s the links for the original Shadow of a doubt: part 1 part 2
Please enjoy the new version :)
After the Blackhood had killed Midge Klump during the production of Carrie, all hell broke loose in Riverdale. Not only had he killed her, but the Ghoulies were back in town, looking for some heads to knock. Sheriff Minetta had asked you and Jughead to turn over your cameras that were used during the rehearsal portion. Wanting to examine any footage or photos during Midge’s final moments that could have caught the Blackhood.
Unbeknownst to you, Jughead had gotten footage of Midge and your boyfriend being very cozy backstage.
Toni and Sweet Pea had been texting you all day, saying that Fangs had been on edge since Minetta and Reggie Mantle had accused one of the serpents of killing Midge. You hadn’t been at school all day, due to you taking care of your little sister who had been sick for a week. You had tried getting a hold of Fangs but he had been ignoring your calls and texts all day.
Jughead had texted you saying that Fangs got arrested and wanted you to come down to the station to calm him down. So, you had dragged (y/s/n) out of bed and told her to quit complaining and just get in the car.
Breaking every speed limit on the way to the station but that didn’t matter. What did matter, was that you got to your boyfriend to find out why he got arrested.
Rushing into the station, all but dragging your sister with you, you pushed past the deputies and went into the cell block where Fangs was, with Jughead and attorney McCoy standing in front of him.
“What the hell? I don’t come to school for a day and you go and get arrested? What for?” You asked, turning into the room.
Fangs had his head down with his hands sticking out of the cell. The two that weren’t in a cell, shared a look before facing you, “We’ll leave you two to talk.”
“Jug? Can you take (y/s/n) home? Please?” You asked, and he nodded his head
You walked towards him and grabbed his hands, “What happened?”
He took a shaky breath in and looked up at you. Your heart broke at the sight in front of you. He had tears in his and his nose all red. The only time you had seen him cry was when he found out his mom got really sick.
“I’m so sorry. You need to know that I’m sorry and I never wanted to hurt you.” He spoke, tears escaping his eyes
“Fangs, you’re scaring me. What happened?”
“My switchblade fell out of my pocket when they arrested me but McCoy said they can’t hold me for it. They have 24 hours to find something to stick or they have to release me. But that’s not why I’m here. I was the last person to see Midge alive.” He explained, causing you to look at him in confusion, “What are you talking about?”
“Midge and I...we were...we were hooking up.” He said in a quiet voice, causing you to drop his hands and take a step back
“All those times you said you were helping her run lines? You were actually hooking up with her?” You asked in disbelief, tears welling up in your eyes. You swallowed the lump that was in your throat, eyes burning from you not wanting to cry
“You had been so busy with extra shifts at Pops and with the yearbook with Kevin. We were running lines at first. But then, we started hanging out, outside of rehearsal, without running lines. I just missed you.” He explained, causing you to let out a laugh
The kind of laugh that you do when you’re stressed or heartbroken. This time, it being the latter of the two.
“So while I was working my ass off, so that we could have a good future with each other, outside this god forsaken town, you were sleeping with someone because you were lonely?! How do you think I felt when Fp would send you on missions and I wouldn’t see you for days, I didn’t sleep with the first person who showed me any attention.” You exclaimed, running your hands through your hair
“I never meant for this to happe-” You cut him off before he could finish
“Did you kiss her first or did she kiss you first?” You asked, suddenly feeling small.
You prayed to god he said the latter of the two but when he remained quiet and broke eye contact to look back down at his hands, you shook your head, “I need to go. I can’t be here.”
“(y/n), I’m sorry!” He cried
“What do you want me to say? You broke my heart, Fangs. I can’t just forget that you slept with somebody else. I need to think.” And with that, you turned to leave. Ignoring the pleads from your former boyfriend.
-----------------
You had your head in (y/s/n)’s lap as she played with your hair, “Isn’t it supposed to be the other way around? Ya know, big sister is supposed to comfort little sister, not little sister to comfort big sister after a heartbreak?”
You let out a laugh and sat up,”Sometimes, the big sister just needs her little sister.”
Your phone started ringing before she could respond. You grabbed your phone off your night stand and Toni’s picture filled up the screen. You answered it and were met with loud noise, “Toni? Where are you?”
“You need to get down here. Mantle let it slip that Fangs was the person to kill Midge and there’s a riot outside waiting for his release!” Toni explained in a rushed tone
You quickly stood up off your bed, pulling your serpent jacket on, slipping your shoes on, “Wait, what?”
“Minetta released the footage of Fangs and Midge together and Reggie told everyone that he killed Midge. So now, all of Riverdale is outside the sheriff’s station, waiting for him to be released.”
You hung up and turned towards your sister, “I need you to stay in here and do not come out no matter what happens. If you do need to leave, you go straight to the Andrews, do you understand?” She nodded her head and you placed a kiss on her forehead before turning to leave the trailer
You grabbed your bike keys out of your pocket and started your bike, rushing down to the sheriff’s station.
-----------
Pushing your way thru the crowd, you made your way up to the door, pounding on it. The door opened and Fp’s head popped through the door. He quickly realized who it was, pulling you into the station.
He led you to where everyone was and they turned to both of you. You rushed over to Fangs and immediately pulled him into your arms, “I didn’t kill her.”
“I know. I believe you. It’ll be okay.” You told him in a quiet voice, rubbing your hands up and down his back.
Despite him being the serpents, Fangs could never hurt someone unless necessary. Actually, when they took Penny to Greendale, he ended up puking when he got home. Fangs may put on a tough exterior but behind closed doors, he’s a big softy.
He pulled away from you and placed both of his hands on your face, wiping away the tears that fell. “I’m so sorry. I never meant for any of this to happen.”
You shook your head at him and pulled him in for a kiss. “I forgive you. I forgive you.
You all turned your attention to your beanie wearing friend, who was pacing throughout the room, “What are we gonna do, Jug?”
“We can’t take Fangs out the front. We have to take the side entrance.” Jughead spoke, rushing into the front but was stopped by Minetta
“Crowds out there too,” He smirked, “Pick your poison, serpent.”
“What do we do man?” Sweet Pea asked in panic, worried for his best friend.
It was quite the sight to see the 6’3 serpent, notorious for his brass knuckles and constant fighting, to be in such a panic
“I don’t wanna die.” Fangs whimpered and your heart broke. He had tears in his eyes and was breathing really heavy. You turned and grabbed his hand and gave it a squeeze,”You’re not gonna die.”
Jughead turned to face his fellow serpents, grabbing the side of Fangs’ head with one hand, placing the other on Sweet Pea’s shoulder. You and Toni were in between the two, looking at Jughead.
“We stand together so none of us falls,” He spoke, “In unity, there is strength.”
We all placed our heads together and recited back, “In unity, there is strength.”
Sweet Pea and Jughead led the group out the doors, with you and Toni standing to Fangs’ side. Serpents behind him. Fp had met you guys halfway, helping you guys push through the chanting crowd.
Behind you guys, Archie Andrews had tackled Reggie Mantle, who had a gun pointed at Fangs.
Before anyone could process what was happening, a gun shot rang out, causing everyone to either drop to the ground or run away in a panic.
You slowly stood up, looking around to see if anyone got hurt. You turned to see Fangs looking down at the hole in his abdomen. Blood quickly seeping through his shirt.
It seemed like time had stopped as you watched your boyfriend drop to the ground, getting caught by Jughead and Sweet Pea.
“No, no, no, no…” You panicked, rushing to his side. You dropped to your knees, grabbing his hand in one of yours, placing the other on top of Sweet Pea’s, which was on top of the wound, trying to stop the blood flow.
Fangs lifted his head to try and see the damage, dropping his head at the sight of his best friends and girlfriend's hands covered in blood. His blood.
Jughead, Toni, and Fp cried out for someone to call for an ambulance.
You brought his hand up to your lips and placed a kiss on his knuckles, letting tears fall onto his hand, “don’t you die on me Fogarty. You’re not allowed to die yet.”
Sweet Pea picked up his shaky hand, covered in his best friends blood, before looking up at you. You had tears streaming down your face, holding one of his hands in your own, seeing as Sweet Pea was holding onto the other. He let anger course through his body as he looked around, trying to find the source of who shot him.
His eyes quickly landed on Reggie Mantle. Who was laying on the ground. Gun in his hand.

Something felt so wrong about settling on the couch by Jughead’s side, with Veronica next to him and Archie to the right of her. All four of them were reunited in harmony, half of the group not knowing the horrible betrayal that their lovers committed. Archie and Jughead joked about going to prom together, and even shook hands like the brothers they once were – and there wasn’t a hint of remorse or guilt displayed on his features.
Betty, on the other hand, couldn’t even look at Veronica, thankful for the bit of space between the two and the fact that she was at the perfect angle to be able to avoid her gaze. With how quiet and reserved Veronica had been toward Betty lately, she almost wondered if the raven-haired girl suspected anything.
Shoving her hands beneath her legs to lighten up the jitters that washed over her, Betty sat back into Jughead, as if nothing were out of the ordinary. As if she wasn’t holding onto something that could destroy her entire future with her soulmate. Her eyes darted to Archie at one point as they all sat around chatting, Toni, Cheryl, Reggie, Kevin, and Fangs also sitting around – the group finally able to be concerned with high school matters. That was a first.
She saw nothing in his eyes. Nothing out of the ordinary. He looked back at her with a raised eyebrow, as if confused by her wild eyes. It genuinely surprised her that he could be so nonchalant, and play it all off so easily.
Intertwining her fingers with Jug’s, Betty gave his hand a brief squeeze, before placing a gentle peck on his cheek. She wanted to enjoy every last tender moment with him that she could… because the truth was coming out 𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵.
And there was a very good chance she would lose him.
Jughead’s fingers slipped out of hers, his hand guiding her face so that their eyes met. He tilted his head, searching her eyes with his own, trying to read her. He knew her better than she knew herself sometimes.
“You alright, Betts?” Jughead spoke quietly, for her ears only, his thumb gently caressing her cheek. The genuine, unconditional care and love in his eyes when he looked at her had always been prevalent, but it burned into her soul even deeper this time.
Nodding it off, Betty let out a sigh, straightening her shoulders as if to claim a less tense posture. “Yeah. I’ve just got some stuff I need to talk to you about later.”
One eyebrow shot up at this as he looked at her with burning curiosity. But with everyone in such close proximity, it didn’t seem like he wanted to press her. Instead, he pressed a kiss to her forehead and gave a quick nod. “Later, then.”
He slid his arm behind her back, his hand resting on her hip. She adjusted herself right in the crook of his side, reveling in his embrace, unsure how much time she had left as 𝘩𝘪𝘴.
But she couldn’t keep it from him. There was no love – no feelings – nothing between she and Archie. Part of her truly has no idea where the kiss even came from, it had blindsided her.
… it was going to blindside Jughead even more.
She didn’t care how much she had to grovel or fight for Jug, or how long he needed space from her… she wasn’t going to give up on their love.
She could never fathom the idea of letting go of him, of everything they’d built.

Cruel Summer - Part Two
Pairing: Sweet Pea x Reader
Words: 2100ish
Warnings: Lying
Summary: With your past blurring with your present, you find yourself struggling to be around Katy and Sweet Pea. But when he makes a point of tracking you down you can’t help but spend time with him.
Read part one here
What doesn’t kill me makes me want you more.
You should have been honest from the start.
You should have told Katy who Sweet Pea was, what it had meant to see them together, how everything you thought you had felt had shifted since you’d found out the truth.
But instead you ignored it. Acting as if Sweet Pea being thrust back into your life wasn’t confusing, that your best friend dating the only guy you’d ever loved wasn’t a problem and that you were totally fine about the whole situation.
After the party you decided to throw yourself into work, focusing your mind on your growing business so it wouldn’t be tempted to wonder. You used it as a perfect excuse to avoid catch ups with Katy, to duck out of get togethers organised by Betty and Veronica and even though you’d stayed in contacted with Fangs and Toni you’d swerve the conversation every time it headed to something Sweet Pea related.
It has worked for three whole weeks until he surprised you at work.
You shouldn’t have even been at your Bakery when he walked in, but the minute the small bell above the door rang out you could feel his presence, the sense almost overwhelming.
He knew he shouldn’t have come, shouldn’t have wanted to, but it’s all he could think about.
“One vanilla cupcake please.” His voice held a note of uncertainty, but it was still warm, and it had a way of making you think of home even though Sweet Pea had stopped being that a long time ago.
“Pea what are you doing here?” You will yourself to turn and face him, a fake smile plastered on your lips as you tried to ignore the way your heart rate picked up at just the sight of him.
“I was just passing and I saw this little bakery, thought I’d stop in and here you are.” You could tell he was lying by his over dramatic hand gestures as he pointed towards you, feigning shock as he fought off a nervous laugh.
“Really?” Your raised eyebrow told him you were definitely on to him, the tips of his ears turning red at the thought of being caught out.
“No.” He admitted, self consciously scratching the back of his head, his cheeks starting to burn pink. “Jug mentioned you own a bakery and I’ve been craving one of your cupcakes since.”
You know you should have been mad at him, annoyed that he was making avoiding situations like this so difficult but you couldn’t but laugh as you reached down into the counter and placed a cupcake in front of him. “It’s a good job you found it then.”
You watched in silence as he accepted it, a child like grin on his face as he excitedly peeled back the paper. You wonder if he’s thinking what you are as you recall all the times you’d baked together in the past, Sweet Pea assigning himself master taste tester just so he could eat everything.
“Just as good as I remember.” He groaned after he took a bite, his tongue coming out to lick the frosting off his lips as he savoured the taste, realising how much he’d missed it. How much he’d missed you. “Are you busy right now?”
His question caught you off guard, your eyes widening in surprise as you began to shake your head. “Actually I-“
“Was just leaving, you’re shift ended 10 minutes ago, I’ve got it from here.” Ethel cut you off from the other end of the counter, oblivious to the fact you wanted to spend as little time as you could with Sweet Pea.
“Maybe we could go for a walk?” His smile was warm and he had an inviting look in his eyes that made you instantly regret even thinking about saying no. “Catch up?”
“Just give me five.” You sighed, already knowing it was a bad idea.
-
After you left the bakery, you and Sweet Pea fell into a comfortable routine of telling each other about the last seven years of your lives. You explained how you met Katy, the highs and lows of university life and how you’d come to own the bakery as he told you about how different Riverdale was now, recalling his version of a story you knew all too well, of how the Serpents and FP had worked together with the occasional help from Jughead and Archie to bring down Hiram Lodge for good and save the town. You smiled sadly as he explained his decision to travel and reminisced about meeting Katy in the South of France. You wanted to be happy for them, you truly did and even though part of you was, you also couldn’t ignore the aching in your chest.
“This is weird isn’t it?” He asked, almost as if he could read your mind as you found a bench to sit.
“Definitely isn’t what I thought I’d be doing today.” You confessed, wondering if your best friend dating your ex boyfriend would ever feel normal.
“Katy thinks you’re avoiding her.” He blurted out, already worrying if he’d crossed a line.
“I’m not avoiding her-“ You tried to back track, the air between the two of you thickening with unease as the conversation stuck on Katy and you felt yourself beginning to spiral.
“Then it’s me you’re avoiding.” He cut you off, his sentence more a statement than a question, he didn’t need an answer to know he was right.
“Pea I’m not... it’s a lot to get my head around okay?” You knew there was no point in lying, Sweet Pea could read you just as well as you could read him.
“I get it, trust me I do...” He ran a hand down his face, his composure slipping slightly as he showed how difficult it was for him too. But then he took a deep a breath, a smile back on his face as he spoke with a sense of hope. “But we were friends once, maybe we could be again?”
“Yeah, maybe.” You returned his smile, a small gust of wind making you shiver but you barely noticed the goosebumps on your arms as you question whether you and Sweet Pea could ever be just friends again.
“Are you cold?” He asked, already shrugging his jacket off instead of waiting for you to answer.
“I’m fine-“ You insist, hands held up to object.
“Here.” Despite your protests Sweet Pea wrapped his jacket around your shoulders, his fingertips lightly brushing against your skin making you shiver. The minute it touched you it was almost as if you could feel the cold leather touch of his old Serpent jacket, the smell of him consuming your senses and making you think back to your first ‘unofficial’ date.
-
You made a mental note to kill Betty and Veronica as you checked the clock for the sixth time, finally realising the date they’d set you up with definitely was not coming.
You grabbed your bag, getting ready to leave when a familiar face slid into the booth opposite you.
“Leaving already?” He grinned over at you, leaning over to take a sip of your half empty milkshake.
“Please don’t tell me you’re the blind date B and V set me up with.” You rolled your eyes but the smirk on your lips told him maybe you wouldn’t mind if he was.
“No, but I’ve watched you sitting here for an hour now and I felt kind of bad for you.” You were waiting for him to come out with some witty remark he was infamous for, but his smile softened. “Thought you might want some company?”
“Only if you’re buying the curly fries.” He laughed at your response, a sound that made the last hour worth it, and you swore you saw his body relax slightly in relief at your answer.
“Deal.”
That was the first time Sweet Pea really surprised you, where he showed you that there was so much more to him than the tough, mysterious Serpent front that he presented. He was warm, and kind, and even funny to a point where your cheeks would ache from laughing too much.
That night curly fries weren’t the only thing you shared as he let his mask slip and invited you to get to know him a little better. You remember never wanted the night to end but you knew your parents would kill you, and probably him too if you skipped past your curfew.
So when it came to time to go home, Sweet Pea insisted he walk with you, your feet stepping in sync, your arms touching ever so slightly.
“Are you cold?” He looked down at you, noticing the way your teeth had started to chatter, your body slightly shaking.
“A little.” You admitted sheepishly with a shrug, goosebumps already littering your skin.
“Here-“ He was instantly shrugging his jacket off, both of you stopping in the street as you insisted you’d be fine. But he ignored you anyway, his teeth sinking into his lower lip as he wrapped it around your shoulders. “Looks good on you.”
His voice was dangerously low, his hands still clinging onto the jacket as the leather drowned your frame. All you could smell was him, your whole body surrounded by Sweet Pea and you couldn’t help but reach up, mind spinning as you hoped your lips would meet his.
But then he pulled away, awkwardly mumbling something about how late it was and how you both needed to get going, the two of you walking the rest of the way in silence.
-
If anyone asked you now when the first time you fell for Sweet Pea was you knew that memory would be your answer. It was the first time you’d truly noticed him, and the two of you had laughed months later at the way he’d backed away from the kiss, his nerves getting the better of him.
“Pea I’m sorry, I-“ You shrugged his jacket off, shoving it back into his chest, everything starting to get too much. “I’ve got to go.”
You were stumbling to you feet before he had a chance to stop you, letting them drag you away as fast as they could as you ignored him calling your name.
You were right, it definitely was a bad idea.
-
Once you finally managed to escape Sweet Pea’s sights, you retreated back to your apartment, the walls around you feeling like they were closing in. You found comfort in your duvet blanket, wrapping it around your entire body as if it would shield you from the outside world and pairing it with a tub of Ben and Jerry’s, the only two men you ever needed in your life.
“It’s only me!” Katy called out as she let herself in, the two of you staring at each other in shock once she found you on the couch. You should have felt embarrassed that she’d caught you during the middle of a pity party but you were more annoyed that she’s walked in unannounced but she already knew you wouldn’t stay mad. “You should really lock that door.”
“Most people normally knock.” You countered, untangling yourself from the duvet.
“I’m not most people.” She was smiling now, lifting up the pink box in her hands. “And I come baring gifts.”
“What’s this?” You eyed it suspiciously as she pushed it onto your lap.
“Open it and find out.” She was practically bouncing up and down now, too excited to sit still as she joined you on the couch. She watched eagerly as you lifted the lid, jaw dropping as you saw it was filled to the brim with things labelled with your initial and a card that read ‘Will you be my Maid Of Honour?’
“Katy...” Your voice trailed off as you stared down at the card, hands trembling slightly. You should have been honest right there, you should have told her that you couldn’t agree until she was okay with the past you and Sweet Pea shared but the look she was giving you made it impossible.
“Well?” She playfully hit your leg, impatiently waiting your answer. “And just so you know, I won’t take no for an answer.”
“Yes!” You plastered on a smile, laughing alongside her as she dived at you, arms wrapping around her neck.
That was your second bad decision of the day.

Songfic Day 14: If
Day 14: A song you’d love played at your wedding: If - Bread
Jughead and Betty throughout their wedding day
*****
If a picture paints a thousand words,
Then why can't I paint you?
The words will never show the you I've come to know.
6:32 am - Betty
“Good Morning Besties! Time to rise and shine, we have to get the blushing bride to the chapel on time and we’re already behind schedule,” Veronica sang, pulling back the curtains of the grande suite she’d rented for her best friend Betty’s wedding.
“Christ Lodge, the sun is barely up, can you not?” Toni grumbled from one of the large king size beds that she and Cheryl had passed out the night before. Jellybean lay sprawled out on the sofa, snoring despite all the noise around her.
“No can do, Topaz. As maid of honor it is my duty to keep you bridesmaids on schedule while also making sure B has everything she needs and stays sane today. Last thing we need is Alice complaining that things are running behind,” she said, placing two lattes beside Toni.
“V, it’s entirely too early to mention my mother. I need my coffee first before we can even go there. What time is it anyway?” Betty yawned, stretching as she spoke.
7:35 am - Jughead
“Archie!” Jughead yelled across the apartment he shared with his best friend, Archie. After today, he would be moving in with his fiance -well wife- and he really couldn't wait.
He and Betty have been together for 6 years now and he couldn't be happier with his life. They were both officially done with school and had just opened their own Private Investigation Firm. That way they could work together while also allowing Jughead to have time to work on his novel.
Life had been good to them and now they finally get to be man and wife. Jughead was trying not to be sappy about it all, but this was his ultimate dream come true.
"What is it Jug? What time is it?" Archie asked, hair askew and wiping the sleep from his eyes.
"It's almost 8, coffee’s in the pot. Have you seen my cufflinks? You know the ones Dad had made, the little silver crowns? I can't find them anywhere," Jughead was a bit worried when they weren’t on his dresser that morning. FP’d had them made for the wedding with an identical pendant made for Betty to wear as well. And his Dad didn't give him a lot of gifts growing up so these were very important to him.
"Yeah man, there in the box with mine and the groomsmen's in my bag ready to go to the church," Archie said in a calming voice, "Don't freak out man, as your best man it's my job to keep you calm and threaten to murder you or break your legs if you try to run."
"I think death threats and acts of violence are a bit extreme, don't you Arch?" Jughead laughed.
Archie rolled his eyes, grabbing a cup to pour them some coffee, "Tell that to Veronica."
If a face could launch a thousand ships,
Then where am I to go?
9:23 am - Betty
"V, I’m so glad you talked me into doing a massage and facial before our mani-pedis. This is literally heaven," Betty sighed, taking a sip of her mimosa while the manicurist massaged lotion onto her calves.
"Only the best for my B. I wanted to make you feel as special your wedding day as everyday of my life has felt since you came into it," Veronica smiled, eyes glistening. Betty teared up at her best friends heartfelt words.
"Oh, V. I love you so much," Betty pulled her into a crushing hug, being sure not to shift her lower half. She felt a tear roll down her cheek and whispered, "Thanks for always being there for me, no matter what. I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for you."
Veronica pulled back, laughing through a sob, "Ok, enough of that. I may have gotten the best waterproof makeup money can buy, but we aren't trying to test that claim today."
"Betty?" They both froze when they heard the voice calling from the hall. Betty let out an exasperated sigh.
"In here, Mom."
9:47 am - Jughead
"Coming!" Jughead yelled, walking towards the front door. When he opened it, he was met with the smiling faces of his father and his other three best friends.
"Congratulations, boy," FP stepped in, hugging his son tight, "I can't believe you're actually getting married."
"Thanks Dad, what you you doing here so early? I didn't expect you for another hour at least," Jughead said, hugging and high-fiving his groomsmen -Sweet Pea, Fangs, and Kevin- as they entered the apartment.
"You know Alice, she was itching to leave Riverdale at 6 this morning. I held her off as long as possible but that’s like fighting a grizzly bear and well, Archie wasn’t around for back up. Is JB here?" FP asked, looking around Jug's apartment for his daughter.
"She decided to stay over at the hotel with the girls so they could all be together to get ready or whatever they plan on doing," Jughead said, shrugging his shoulders.
"Looks Sweets will be disappointed. He was hoping to see her before we all had to get ready," FP nodded his head towards Sweet Pea who'd spent the entire time with his nose shoved in his phone, dopey grin plastered on his face.
It honestly used to bother him Sweet Pea and Jellybean had started dating when she turned 18 but he got over that fairly quickly. Just seeing how good they were for each other eased Jughead's mind. Besides that, Sweets looked at Jelly the same way he looked at Betty, so he knew what they had was real.
There's no one home but you,
You're all that's left me too.
11:56 am - Betty
"Stand up straight, Elizabeth. We still have to finish getting you in this corset or we will never get your dress on properly," Alice huffed, pulling on the fabric. Veronica had gone downstairs to handle a situation with the caterers and all the girls had stepped out to get drinks and snacks for the rest of the wedding party, leaving Betty alone with her mother for the first time all morning. And frankly, she was about to her breaking point.
She loved her mother, she really did, and ever since she and FP had gotten better but as soon as the wedding planning started she had started to nitpick every little thing Betty did or choice she made.
With hips like yours, would a mermaid cut dress be appropriate? Elizabeth, just because Jughead wants a chocolate cake doesn't mean he should get it, it’s your special day. Is that really the font you chose for the invitations? You’re seriously going to have your bridesmaids and groomsmen mixed up on both sides?
It has gotten so bad that Jughead and FP had to step in to tell her that it was enough and that she needed to back off. Which she did, that is, until she arrived this morning and thought she’d try to pack months of criticism into one morning. Betty didn’t need to deal with this today, of all days, so she grabbed her phone and sent an SOS text.
SOS... Send reinforcements to slay the dragon and save the princess...
“Mom, I'm sure it will be fine,” Betty tried to stop the discussion but Alice was having none of it and cut her off.
“Elizabeth, I just don’t want those extra pounds you’ve added these last few weeks to show through because you didn’t properly shinch your corset. Now- “ Alice was interrupted by a knock at the door.
“Hey Alice, Dad said he needs your help. Something about his tie or something?” Jellybean smiled sheepishly but winked at Betty once Alice turned her back. Betty smiled, mouthing her thanks to her future sister-in-law.
“I swear, I have no idea how that man survived all those years on his own without me,” Alice scoffed as she marched out of the women’s dressing area. Betty was grateful when Veronica walked back in the room, an apologetic look on her face and holding two lattes.
“I am so sorry, B. I swear I didn’t mean to leave you alone with her this morning,” Veronica apologized.
“It’s ok Ronnie. Jug took care of it,” Betty smiled, sipping her cinnamon dulce white chocolate mocha.
12:02 pm - Jughead
Betty: SOS... Send reinforcements to slay the dragon and save the princess...
“Dad, get your woman before I have Sweet Pea hogtie her and toss her in your truck,” Jughead groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose in his frustration.
“Oh Lord, what’s she doing this time, boy?” FP asked. Jughead didn’t answer, just handed him his phone to show FP the text from Betty. “Alright, I’ll take care of this. JELLY!” he yelled.
“Yeah Dad?” Jellybean said, walking in from the hallway where she and Sweet Pea were talking with the rest of the wedding party.
“We have a code viper in Betty’s room, can you handle it for us please?” Jelly nodded, running out the door.
“Code viper?” Jughead smirked.
FP simply shrugged and smiled at his son. “You’ve met that woman, right?”
And when my love for life is running dry,
You come and pour yourself on me.
2:00 pm - Betty
“Betty, you look beautiful,” FP choked, grinning as he walked up to her at the front of the church. She beamed at FP, tears pricking her eyes.
“Thanks FP, you clean up well yourself,” she chuckled. She was thankful to have FP in her life as her surrogate father. After everything that happened with her father and his death, she never thought she’d have a chance to be walked down the aisle properly. But after living with FP and Jellybean her senior year, he really became the father she no longer had and she was so grateful.
“Are you nervous?” he asked.
Betty shook her head and smiled, “Not even a little bit.”
The music began and FP offered her his arm, “Let’s make you a Jones.” Betty placed her tiny hand in the crook of his arm and grinned. This was the moment she’d been waiting for all her life.
2:00 pm - Jughead
The doors opened slowly and Jughead lost his ability to breathe. At the end of the aisle, standing beside his father, was the most beautiful vision he had ever seen. Betty’s dress, form-fitting until just past her hips and flaring out at the bottom, made her look like a princess in a fairytale. Her veil had tiny diamonds that sparkled like the stars in the sky, catching the light with every step she took towards him.
When their eyes locked, Jughead could feel the tears dripping from his eyes despite the goofy grin that was plastered on his face. He could see that Betty was as much in the same boat as he was, her smile rivaling the sunshine and her hands gripping tighter to the bouquet of wildflowers in her hands.
As his future stepped up to stand beside him, he knew that his life was finally complete. He had loved her for so many years that he couldn’t remember a time when he didn’t. His whole life had been leading to this moment and he was speechless. Betty placed her hand in his and squeezed, grinning at him.
“Hi Juggie.”
If a man could be two places at one time,
I'd be with you.
Tomorrow and today, beside you all the way.
3:33 pm - Betty
“I met Betty in my sophomore year of highschool when my family moved to Riverdale from the city. She was my tour guide at Riverdale High and the moment we met, I knew she would be my best friend. And even though we have had our ups and downs in the past, I have never regretted a moment that I have spent with her. My life would be incomplete without her,” Veronica paused to wipe a tear from her eyes, “Oh, and Jughead is ok too, I guess.” Everyone burst into a fit of laughter.
“In all seriousness, I have been around Jughead and Betty throughout their entire relationship and I can safely say I have never seen two people more in love. Well except for my Archikins and I,” everyone chuckled again at the nickname, “Jughead, Betty, I wish you all the happiness in the world and I know that, without a doubt, there is not two people more suited for each other then you two. I love you guys, salud!” Veronica held up her glass as everyone chapped and sipped their champagne.
3:35 pm - Jughead
“Thanks everyone, um, I have known Betty and Jughead for my entire. We have all been friends since we were still in diapers and our parents would bathe us together,” Betty and Jughead blushed as people giggled, “Um, yeah but we have been through a lot together. I was actually really shocked when I first found out that they were dating, just simply for the fact that I never saw it coming. No one did really. But I remember seeing them one day outside Southside High and, with the help of Ronnie, I realized that they were soulmates. And I also realized that I wanted what they have with each other. I got lucky and found my soulmate too,” he paused to smile at Veronica, “Jughead, you have always been more like my brother than anything and I am so happy for you. You deserve to be with someone who will treat you like you are their whole world, and you’ve got that person beside you. Betty, you have been my rock since we were two years old. You helped me pass the second grade, you saved my life more than once when we were younger and I will always be thankful to have you in my life. You will always be my best friend and I am so happy that you and Jughead have found the happiness you both deserve together. I love you guys, cheers!”
If the world should stop revolving spinning slowly down to die,
I'd spend the end with you.
And when the world was through,
6:26 pm - Betty
Betty was thankful she had decided to change into a more comfortable dress as she moved with Veronica on the dance floor, dancing to cringy Britney Spears songs just like they’d done so many times before. Betty bit her lip as she looked over her shoulder to see her husband standing off to the side, laughing and having a cigarette with Fangs and Toni, tie long gone along with his coat.
He had rolled up his sleeves earlier in the evening, showing off all the ink that he’d accumulated over the years that Betty loved to look at. His suspenders were hanging down around his hips in their usual place, his hair falling into his eyes and Betty couldn’t help but think of how sexy he was. And better still, how he was all hers.
She told Veronica she was taking a break and walked over to the bar for some bottled water. As she sipped her drink, she glanced back over to where Jughead was and caught him staring at her while taking a drag from his smoke. She winked at him, biting her lip and slowly walking towards one of the coat closets near the front of the reception hall. Just before opening the door to step inside she ran the tip of her tongue around the rim of the water bottle and grinned, knowing he wouldn’t be far behind.
7:44 pm - Jughead
“Mmm, Betty?” Jughead pulled away panting, lips bee stung from ravaging his wife in the tiny coat closet. Her breasts heaved as she tried to find her voice, “Yeah?” she said, latching her lips to his neck, sucking a dark bruise for everyone to see.
“Do- um, do you think they’ve noticed we are missing yet?” Jughead asked, moaning loudly at the feeling of his wife's tongue on his bare skin. A loud banging at the door startled them both causing them to jump apart like two teenagers.
“Yes, we know you’re missing and yes, the entire banquet does know what you are doing in here,” Veronica shouted through the door. Jughead’s face turned bright red as Betty burst into laughter and threw her arms around his neck.
“Take me to our room, husband. I have plans for you,” Betty grinned.
“Don’t threaten me with a good time, wife,” She squealed with laughter as Jughead threw her over his shoulder and pushed the door open to make a mad dash for the elevators.
Then one by one the stars would all go out,
Then you and I would simply fly away

The Road So Far (pt. 1)
Sweet Pea x reader
Summary: Y/n Winchester and her two older brothers go to the small town of Riverdale for a case. Y/n must enroll into Riverdale High to help the case, and meets one Sweet Pea on tbe way.
Riverdale + Supernatural crossover
Requested by: @sgarrett49
Author Note: So Tumblr cut me off from writing any more on this text, so it's going to be stretched out into a mini series.
Chapter 2
Word Count: 3402
"I just don't get why I have to go to school to hunt a werewolf."
Dean closed the trunk of the car. "Because, we heard from some of the people here that the teenagers basically run this town."
"Really?" You said. "Ugh, it's like we got a case inside of some crappy new age TV show." Sam laughed and Dean nodded. You all went inside of a motel next to some trailer homes.
The next day you took your stuff and went to school. Apparently a school got closed down due to some hazardous stuff, so there was only one in the town.
When you got to school, there was a small crowd of teens waiting for you. "Excuse me, are you Y/n Winchester?" You nodded. "Okay then. Hi, I'm Veronica Lodge, and welcome to Riverdale High."
"Lodge, as in Lodge Industries?" You asked. Her smiled faded a bit, then came back just as quickly.
"Yes, but whatever daddykins does with his business, I am not associated with."
You smiled and compressed your laughter. "Daddykins, huh?" She nodded. "That's a new one."
She let out a small laugh. "Well, this is Archie, my boyfriend."
He waved. Then another one spoke up. "I'm Betty, I'm one of the people who run the blue and gold newspaper. This is Jughead, he also runs the blue and gold."
"You guys solved some murders right?" Maybe they could help you with the case. The two of them nodded.
Then Jughead spoke up. "This is Fangs and Sweet Pea." They both nodded.
You look at Sweet Pea's tattoo. "What's that mean?" You put two fingers to your neck pulse, indicating the tattoo.
"It's a symbol for the Southside Serpents." Her said, looking down at you.
"That a gang?" You asked as a joke. When he nodded, you responded with, "Wait really?"
A person bursted through the doors. "Ignore the hoodlums. Don't pay any attention to the raggamuffins, they're only important in their greasy, Southside bar. Hi I'm Cheryl blossom. Maybe if you lose the flannel and band shirts I could consider you to be a River Vixen."
"So you're captain of the cheerleaders?" You asked, amused.
"Yup." She said, smug. "I basically run this school."
You bursted out laughing. "Okay, let me get this straight. There's turfs, gangs, murders, and, no offence Ronnie, a mobster in this town?" They all agreed. "And yet, for some reason, cheerleaders and football players are still important? And the head bitch in charge is a ginger?"
You had began to laugh again. "Aw, this is a bad new aged TV show, isn't it?" Jughead snorted.
"You you have a problem with my hair color?" She looked pissed.
"Of course not, gingy #2, I think gingy #1 seems like a nice guy. Look, minus Carrie White over here, you all seem like pretty cool people, but unfortunately I won't have the pleasure of getting to know you. My brothers and I will probably be gone in a week or two. So where do I go to get my schedule?"
"Um, I have it right here." Veronica said. You were going to grab it, but she took it away. "But, we have been asked by principal Weatherbee to make you feel at home."
"No, you and Betty were and you two dragged us into it." Jughead said.
"Well, either way, I want to become friends with you, even if you will only bless us with your presence for a short amount of time."
You looked at her, amused. "Okay then."
She beamed her smile. "Alright, well you have a class with each one of us, and also four classes with Sweet Pea, so we will be with you for the whole day."
Sweet Pea had been watching the entertainment you had been giving this whole time. Who was this girl? One of the first people who didn't care about the social status in Riverdale.
The bell rang. "Alrighty then. You ready Sweets?" You asked. He was taken aback by the nickname. You did the same with Veronica earlier. Was that just a thing you did?
"Uh, yeah, let's go."
As you walked down the hallways, you see signed about some Red Circle group. You grabbed one off the wall. "The Red Circle? What is that?"
"The bulldogs made a group to terrorize the Southside. Trying to clean up the streets and protect their people."
"Really?" You giggled, confusing him. "What kind of piss poor excuse is that? They want to pretend that their in a gang so they can sound cooler than just being a group of sex deprived football players."
He laughed. He was so intrueged by you. You said what was on your mind, and your logic was that of an outside perspective. You were funny and adorable, and came with an I don't give a fuck attitude.
You walked into class together. The teacher told you to sit next to Sweet Pea, who sat in the far back, since you seemed to get along with him. As you walked to your seat, a guy said, "Careful sweetheart. I wouldn't get too close with the snake boy. He's not like us."
You stopped, looking at the letterman jacket he wore. You then held up the red circle sign. "You in this?"
"You know it. The name's Reggie Mantle."
"Wow!" You said in a fake overly happy voice. "You know, when I first walked through those doors I thought you were a douchebag, but I was totally wrong. You're a wanna be ghetto ass douchebag!"
You crumpled up the paper and threw it at him, continuing to walk. Everybody gasped and Sweet Pea smiled excitedly, nodding in his seat.
You silently laughed at him. "Woah."
"What?" Sweet Pea asked, still smiling.
"You look adorable when you're happy." You turned back to the front, missing the smile slide off his face as he stared at you.
As classes went by, you both enjoyed each other's company. Turns out that in every class Sweet Pea is in the back because the teachers fear him. You liked being in the back of the class with him though.
When it came to lunch Veronica practically dragged you to their table. This was your chance to get some information. "So," you said, looking towards Betty and Jughead. "I heard there's been murders of people and animals recently. Do you know anything about it?" They all looked at you, confused. "I'm just really into that stuff."
"Well you'll fit right in here." Veronica joked.
"Not much, but people have been saying things about werewolves." Betty said. "Ethel said that they had a pack at Fox Forest. We were gonna check it out tonight. Do you wanna come?"
"I'd love to." You genuinely smile. If you were to ever stay at one place, it would probably be this one.
Betty smiled. "Okay. This'll be fun."
"Gee gang, sounds like the start of a new mystery." You said without much thought.
"Did you just quote Scooby Doo?" Jughead asked.
"Yes?"
"I think this is the beginning of a new relationship." He said as he munched on his food.
When you got to PE Sweet Pea heard girls talking about you. They were talking about how you had scars covered up, and laughing about how they were ugly on you. He was about to go and tell them off, but was stopped by you calling out for him. "Hey, Sweets!"
"Yeah?"
"We're supposed to partner up, and I think you're the only one who could be close to keeping up with me." You playfully put your hands on your hips.
"We'll see about that, won't we sweetheart?" He gave a smirk.
"Sweetheart, huh? My brother calls his one night stands sweetheart." You counter.
"Don't worry Winchester, you're worth more than that to me." Your cocky smile faded and was replaced with a small, genuine smile with some red on your cheeks. "What's wrong? Not used to the praise?" He slyly said.
"Not at all." You said truthfully. He faltered a bit, but you just brushed your embarrassment off. "C'mon, let's just start the stuff."
Sweet Pea learned just how in shape you were. No matter what exercise was being done, you seemed to excell in it. It was a hassle trying to keep up with you, but he did.
PE was your last period, so the two of you were seen talking together right after school. It seemed that everybody saw, because the five others who greeted you in the morning, except Cheryl, went to go talk to the two of you. It was a rare thing, to see Sweet Pea even give a second glance to someone who isn't a Southsider. But here he was, happy as can be right next to you.
"Hey guys." Betty said. You waved.
"Well well well," Veronica said. "It seems that the new girl in town has found herself a man, and no other than the toughest guy in Riverdale." She was smiling slyly.
They have never seen Sweet Pea so happy, at least not at Riverdale High. Nobody had even seen him look at any girl except Toni, who was one of the guys to him. So having someone crack a smile on his face was a sight to see, and they all automatically wanted the two of you to be together. After all, you made him smile.
Betty then had an idea spring up in her head. "Sweet Pea," he turned his attention towards her, his face unintentionally being a little more colder. "You should come with the three of us tonight to Fox Forest. We're working on the deaths of those people and animals."
Sweet Pea thought about it for a bit, but looking at your waiting face made him not need to think about it at all. "Sure. You guys will need protection, so it's smart if I tag along."
Your face perked up into a smile. Just then a 1967 black Chevy Impala pulled up to the front of the school, classic rock being heard from inside. Two men stepped out and were both leaning on the side of the car. You were guessing that they wanted to look tough to show people not to mess with you.
"Nice ride." Sweet Pea muttered.
"Thanks." You said, everybody turning to you.
"Oh my God, who are those beautiful men standing over there?" Veronica asked. "Especially the one on the left." She said, staring at them.
"That would be Dean. The other one with the long hair is Sam. Those are my brothers." Everyone was in awe of how badass the two looked.
"Well now, some new blood hotties have rolled into town." You all turned your heads to see Cheryl enjoying the view as well. "Who would have known that they were related to a greasy little raggamuffin like you."
"Okay, let's not check out my brothers guys, this is weird and gross for me."
You look at Sweet Pea, who seems to be in a trance as well. "Really? You too?"
He laughed. "No, it's not that. I'm looking at the car." You laughed back. "Don't worry y/n, you're the only Winchester I like to look at." You giggled.
Dean spotted you laughing with some guy. "What the hell?"
"What's wrong?" Sam asked.
"Look at that kid, getting a little too chummy with y/n. I'm gonna have a little talk with him."
"You don't know if he's doing anything bad, they could just be talking Dean."
"The kid has a neck tattoo. He's a douche." They watched as you nudged him, smiling and talking. Sam cleared his throat, not knowing how to defend you anymore.
"Oh hell no." He angrily went over to the group of teenagers, ignoring Sam's calls. Everybody brought their attention to the eldest Winchester walking up. "Hey there." He said to Sweet Pea with a smile. "Wanna tell me why you're standing so close to my sister?"
"Dean." You said, standing in between the both of them, although not making a difference from you being a lot tinier than the two. "Don't."
"We were just talking sir." Sweet Pea said, sweating bullets. He stood up straight and his voice was clear, but he was more nervous than anything.
"Oh, you were just talking. Well to me it seemed like flirting, and if you think I'm gonna let-"
Suddenly a hand clasped hard on Dean's shoulder. "Okay, that's enough. Sorry you all had to see that." He smiled at everyone, making the females melt.
Dean took a few steps back before pointing to Sweet Pea and saying, "We have guns."
"Dean!" Sam said in a sturdy voice.
"Are you satisfied big bro?"
"Get in the car." He said in a strained voice. You mouthed the word sorry to Sweet Pea, then looked at Betty and Jughead, nodding. They nodded back.
When you got to the motel, you were on your way to the bathroom. "Imma go take a shower."
Dean grabbed your arm and plopped you on one of the beds. "Oh no, you're not." You innocently smiled at him, making him even more annoyed. "What the hell were you doing with that kid?"
You looked at him, dead face. "Talking."
"Talking my ass! I saw you two, way too close for friendliness. I don't want you around that guy anymore."
You huffed, kicking off your shoes and getting comfortable. "Why not?"
"Because that kid is bad news. He has a neck tattoo of a double headed snake, I mean, that says it all." He smiled, although unamused.
"It's just a tattoo! I have one too." You were referring to the anti possession tattoo just below your collarbone, which was the same place your brothers had theirs.
"That's different."
"Sam, help me out here."
Sam sighed. "I don't know y/n, you guys were standing pretty close."
"Ha!" Dean said.
"But you really could have only been talking."
"See?! Thank you Sammy. You know what, whatever. I'm gonna head to that 50's themed diner. Want anything?"
"Burgers."
"Just a salad. Thanks."
You nodded and opened the door. "Don't forget the pie!" Dean called out as you shut the door.
You huffed as you went into a diner called Pop's, heading to the front. You didn't notice the four people with leather jackets. You smiled as an old man with the name tag of Pop came. "Do you have pie?"
"Cherry's our best slice." He smiled.
You smiled back. "Perfect. I'll have that, two combo #1's, and a Caesar salad to go please."
"Sure thing. What kind of milkshakes?"
"Milkshakes?"
"Of course, everyone who comes here gets a milkshake. They're the best you'll ever have."
You shrugged, still smiling. There was something that you liked about him. He was just so peaceful. "Surprise me." He nodded and headed to the back. You sat at the counter, waiting for your food.
Meanwhile, Sweet Pea ducked his head when you walked up to the counter. "What's with you?" Toni asked.
"He's into the new girl over there." Jughead said.
"Until her brothers came and scared the crap out of him." Fangs teased.
Sweet Pea flushed from both embarrassment and anger. "No they didn't, I was just showing them respect."
"Then go up to her and ask her out." Fangs said all too casually.
As his three friends stared him down with their evil grins, he awkwardly stood. He knew he couldn't get out of this. He walked over to you, sitting next to you. "Hey."
You swiveled your seat in his direction. "Hey. Sorry about my brothers. Dean likes to get overprotective sometimes, especially when it's with guys that have tattoos on his neck." You have him a teasing smile.
"It's fine." He chuckled out, rubbing where his tattoo was.
"We still on for tonight?" You cocked your head as you waited for his answer, which he found adorable.
"Yeah, I have to be there in case you get yourself in trouble Winchester."
"My hero, but how do I know you won't leave me hanging with Jug and Bets?" There it was again, the nicknames.
"I'm not that kind of guy." He put a hand over his heart jokingly.
"Then why are your friends staring at me?" You squinted your eyes a bit at him.
He put his hand on the back of his neck and rubbed it nervously. "They, uh, wanted me to ask you out." You raised your eyebrows at him in an unimpressed manner. "But, I know that you deserve more than some date from a dare. The date will come, but it will take more time. And I don't care if you'll be leaving soon, I'll drive out to wherever you are and pick you up, and we'll have a good date."
You giggled. He suddenly felt hot, having watched him just pour out his soul. He probably seemed like an idiot right now. "That might have been the sweetest thing anyone has ever told me." You nodded. "Okay, you've got yourself a date. Full warning though, never been on a date. So if I'm weird I'm sorry. But on the bright side, you won't have to top anything from my experience."
He put up his hands to his eye level in victory. "I hit the jackpot."
"Just one thing," you put up your index finger. "You didn't answer my question. How do I know you aren't lying and leave me waiting for you?"
He took off his skull ring and put it on your middle finger. "I have to get my ring back from you." He saw you looking back behind him, then at you. "They're still watching aren't they?"
"Yup." You then leaned to him in your seat and gave him a hug. "Don't worry, I'll put on a show for them." You whispered in his ear, turning your head to kiss his cheek.
"Sorry to interrupt you two love birds up," Pop said, with a bag and a cup holder with three drinks in hand. "But your order's ready. The pie is on the top, and I labeled the flavors of milkshakes on the cups."
You leaned away from Sweet Pea. "Bless your beautiful heart Pop." You reached for your wallet, but Sweet Pea smacked some money down before you could get your own money out. You gave him a side smile. "Ever the gentleman."
"Does that surprise you?" He looked you up and down.
You grabbed your dinner, hopping off your chair. "I bet it would surprise most in this town."
He ignores your comment, and instead focuses on your situation. "Do you need a ride?"
"Um, on your bike?" He nodded, to which you responded by raising the items in your hand. "I have precious cargo."
"Then I'll walk you back to your place."
You gave him a questioning look. "And possibly see my brothers again?"
He shrugged. "I have to protect you, remember? I'm your hero."
You rolled your eyes and smiled. "If you insist."
You both walked and talked, you holding the food and him holding the drinks. "I'm thirsty." He said. "Which one of these milkshakes is yours so I can steal some?"
You laughed. "I have no idea. I told him to surprise me, so that's what he did. Which one do you think I'd like?"
"Peanut butter cup. Definitely." He then took a sip of it, taking it out of the cup holder and putting it towards you. "Try it. Maybe it'll make you stay."
You look at him as he smiled. "I wish. If it tastes bad I'm releasing my brothers onto you." He chucled. You then took a sip, not ready for that level of tastiness to be in that shake. "Holy crap that's amazing!"
"See?!"
"What is up with this ghostly bipolar town? I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone." You then both got to the motel. "You can go if you want."
"You're living in a motel?"
"Always. Well, sometimes we sleep in the car." You said casually, knocking on your door.
Dean answered the door, eyeing Sweet Pea. "What are you doing here kid?"
"He was at Pop's, and wanted to help me carry dinner." You said with a smile. "He also bought our food! Isn't that so nice of him?"
Sam came to join in. "How considerate."
Your smile became even wider. "Right Dean?"
"You two go on ahead, I'm gonna have a little talk with Mr. Nice Guy outside."

Part 1 - Part 3
wow, who am i uploading another part a day later god damn.
Third Person POV
It had been hours since the Serpents entered Riverdale General Hospital, the news of Fangs stability letting the Serpents breathe just for half a minute. The blood on Sweet Pea’s Serpent jacket now dry, Sweet Pea not speaking a word to any of the Serpents when they came near him. His emotions mixed between rage and guiltiness, the tears from his eyes hadn’t stopped. Jughead’s moments of outrage kicking the vending machine only making Sweet Pea more anxious. Betty placing her hand on his back, trying something, anything to keep him calm. “When are we going to hear something?” Sweet Pea stood up, his voice cutting the silence, all eyes on him. The nurses sighed rolling her eyes at the Serpent causing him to kick the chair across the small waiting room. “I’m not going to ask you again.” Both Jughead and Archie’s hands landed on Sweet Pea’s chest, backing him up so the other Serpents could hold him.
“Calm down boy.” FP’s stern voice traveled through Sweet Pea’s ears. He shoved him off bursting out the hospital, falling to his knees in the pouring rain. He screamed out into the darkness of the night, not a care in the world who heard or saw him.
“Sweet Pea!” Toni called from under Cheryl’s umbrella, both of them running towards him. “It’s the Ghoulies, Sweet Pea, they’re destroying the Whyte Wyrm.” Sweet Pea’s head snapped towards the two girls, anger boiling inside of him before he stood up. “Sweet Pea.” Toni grabbed his arm when he tried to walk away. “It’ll be suicide. You have to stay here, for (y/n).” Sweet Pea yanked his arm away from Toni, walking away from the two girls.
“Sweet Pea!” Jughead yelled causing Sweet Pea to stop for a moment before looking back at Jughead. “She’s going to be fine. They’re letting her rest but she’s going to be okay.” Jughead finally let out a sigh of relief. “They’re not going to let us see her for another two hours, in case she has a complication.” Sweet Pea looked down, the blood from his leather jacket slipping from the rain. He nodded before turning around once more. “Where are you going?” Jughead called out.
“To fuck some Ghoulies up.” Sweet Pea straightened his back and walked off the parking lot of Riverdale General Hospital, Toni looking at Jughead who rushed into the hospital.
“Let’s go.” Jughead roared causing the Serpents to look at him.
“We aren’t going anywhere until we see (y/n).” FP rubbed his hands over his face, tiredness over coming him.
“Sweet Pea is on his way to the Ghoulies.” Jughead rose his voice to his father. FP stood up, the rest of the Serpents already out the door.
“No, Jughead.” Betty stopped him from walking out the door. “Did you see what they did to her? You’re outnumbered, they’ll kill you.” Betty gulped as her tears threatened to spill from her eyes.
“She’s right Jug, it’s suicide.” Archie spoke, scared that his best friend will end up in the hospital just like (y/n).
“A Serpent never shows Cowardice. No Serpent stands alone.” Jughead looked at FP who smiled.
“Let’s go give them hell.” FP grabbed his son by the shoulders, pushing him out of the hospital.
“I’ll be fine. Give me a call if anything changes with her.” Jughead gave Betty a kiss on the lips before mumbling an I love you.
“Jug.” Archie called out for his best friend as he walked out of the waiting room of the hospital. Betty’s arms wrapping around Veronica, who hadn’t said a word since her arrival at the hospital. Archie sighed hugging both girls as they cried together. “We have to do something.” Archie’s voice was stern.
______
The Whyte Wyrm was now clearly visible to Sweet Pea, his jaw clenched as he saw the Ghoulies’ cars parked outside. The sound of roaring motorcycles luring the Ghoulies out of the bar. The laughs of the Ghoulies piercing into Sweet Pea’s ears only making him angrier. “Well, well, well.” Malachai’s voice made its way through his friends, dragging his spiked bat on the pavement of the Whyte Wyrm parking lot. “You’re a very hard guy to find, Pea.” Malachai’s body stopped inches away from Sweet Pea. “Who knew all it took was to snatch that Serpent slut straight from your house.” Malachai smile caused Sweet Pea’s fist to collide with his face initiating the Serpent and Ghoulie brawl. Two Ghoulies grabbed his arms, letting Malachai’s fist to pound into Sweet Pea’s stomach. FP coming to the rescue as he punched Malachai, Jughead punching one of the Ghoulies holding Sweet Pea, Sweet Pea punching the other. “Bet you guys liked the new marking.” Malachai spit blood out of his mouth, smiling in the process looking at Sweet Pea who was instantly on top of Malachai, his fist connecting onto Malachai’s face. Three Ghoulies tackled Sweet Pea, Jughead getting his ass kicked by another two of them, FP trying his best to keep four Ghoulies from attacking his son. The Serpents were getting their asses kicked, clearly out-numbered as each Serpent had two to four Ghoulies pounding on them. The brawl lasted ten minutes before a slow clap erupted, the Ghoulies retreating their attack as the Serpents laid sprawled across the wet pavement, moaning from the pain the Ghoulies had inflicted.
“Now that’s what I call a victory.” Penny Peabody’s voice made both Sweet Pea and Jughead slowly rise from the floor. Sweet Pea spit to the side, blood dripping down his mouth as he held his side in pain. “I’ve been looking for you Sweet Pea.” Penny walked towards him; his eyes dark as he clenched his jaw. “Imagine my surprise when I found your little whore alone. I didn’t think you were stupid enough to leave her unprotected but boy was it like winning the lottery.” She laughed as she circled him before taking her knife out of her jacket. “I think it’s time to take something else from you.” She smiled before whistling, Malachai coming behind Sweet Pea restraining him as he put his arms behind him. Jughead running to Sweet Pea’s rescue only for him to be restrained by another Ghoulie. Penny laughed throwing Sweet Pea’s head back, her knife tracing his Serpent tattoo on his neck.
“You’re dead. Once the Ghoulies are gone, once they’re not in your little corner, that’s when I’ll get you. And you better be prepared to endure ten times the pain you caused (y/n).” Sweet Pea spat causing Penny to laugh.
“And who said I was going to let you live?” Her knife rested on his neck, Malachai smiling at Penny.
“Penny, don’t do this!” Jughead yelled, catching Penny’s attention for a short second before red and blue flashing lights caught everyone’s attention. Malachai let go of Sweet Pea pushing him onto Penny.
“I ain’t going back to jail.” Malachai whistled causing his gang of Ghoulies to scatter. Sweet Pea grabbed a hold of Penny’s knife, holding it to her chest, his eyes dark once more.
“Sweet Pea, put the knife down.” A familiar voice had Jughead’s attention.
“Kevin?” Jughead squinted his eyes, Kevin and his father walking towards them.
“Sweet Pea, put it down.” Sheriff Keller pointed his gun towards Penny, her arms going up instantly.
“Sweet Pea!” FP yelled, causing Sweet Pea to look back at him. The knife fell from his hand, stepping away from Penny before he did something he regretted.
“How’d you know?” Jughead looked at Kevin.
“Archie, he called me as soon as you all bolted from the hospital.” Jughead nodded, wincing at the pain on his side. “He also said (y/n) was awake.” Kevin looked at Sweet Pea, his eyes lighting up.
“Come on, we’ll ride together.” Jughead patted Sweet Pea’s back making him wince in pain once more before they both got on Jughead’s motorcycle.
“Floor it, Jones.” Sweet Pea roared. They raced to the hospital, Jughead taking any and all red lights. They arrived at Riverdale General Hospital in less than ten minutes. Sweet Pea nearly jumping off of the moving motorcycle, throwing his helmet on the floor as he sprinted into the hospital. His eyes landed on Betty as she pointed towards the left hallway, her mouth moving but Sweet Pea only hearing the room number. She moved to Jughead’s side, looking at the bruises already forming on his face. Sweet Pea moved to room one hundred twenty-five, he heard small giggles making his heart swell up.
“I swear, that’s the exact words that came out of Kevin’s mouth.” Archie spoke a smile clearly on his face. Sweet Pea wasted no time knocking on the door as he walked in. Archie’s head snapping towards Sweet Pea before getting up. (Y/N)’s eyes landed on Sweet Pea, his lip busted as he held his side, water dripping from his hair and his clothes. He walked towards her, his guilt taking over as soon as he saw her face. Her eyes were black, swollen to the point where her eyes were hardly open. The cut on her chest and the marking on her arm now covered by gauze. Blood spots covered the gauze on her chest. Bruises covered every visible place of her body.
“Sweets.” (Y/N)’s voice made Sweet Pea look up at her face once more. He was terrified to say the least; he was the one to cause this and there was no way he could ever forgive himself for it. She reached a hand out for him and he complied, limping to her side before grabbing her hand. “What happened to you?” (Y/N) asked as if she wasn’t the one in the hospital bed.
“Ghoulies.” Sweet Pea whispered.
“Join the gang.” (Y/N) smiled trying to lighten the mood, sure she was somewhat high on medications but she hated seeing Sweet Pea like this and she wasn’t going to stop until he felt better about himself. He looked at her before looking down at his dirty boots, water still dripping from his hair.
“I’m so sorry.” Sweet Pea whispered, his tears spilling as he sat down. “I shouldn’t have left you there, I should have stayed, I should have protected you.” He shoved his face into their intertwined hands. (Y/N) winced as she brought her hand to his head, her fingers running through his wet hair.
“Sweet Pea.” (Y/N) sighed. To any other Sweet Pea was a though Serpent who didn’t let anyone or anything bother him. But ever since (y/n) it was harder for the Serpent to hide his feelings. “This isn’t your fault. Fangs needed you, no Serpent stands alone, right.” He looked at her, his eyes red from the worry he had endured for hours. “You’re a Serpent before you’re a boyfriend Sweets and I understand that. I knew what getting involved with you meant, this isn’t your fault. You didn’t force them to do this to me.” (Y/N) tried all she could to make Sweet Pea feel somewhat better.
“It is my fault.” Sweet Pea stood up, wincing at the pain in his ribs as he let go of his girlfriend’s hand. “They were looking for me.”
“I know.” (Y/N) whispered. “And I didn’t tell them where you were at, where any of you were at.”
“Why? They wouldn’t have done all this to you, they would have come for us and left you alone.” Sweet Pea raised his voice.
“Don’t you get it Sweet Pea?” (Y/N) sighed, pain shooting through her body. “Just because I'm not a Serpent doesn’t mean I wouldn’t die for you guys. You never betray your own. Serpents don’t bite the hand that feeds them Sweets, you guys took me in when no one wanted me, I'd do anything for you, for Jughead, Toni, Fangs, and the rest of the Serpents. You guys are my family.” The tears in her eyes finally streamed down her face. “And yeah, it hurt like hell. You of all people know how much I hate needles and I had a fucking knife cut my chest. I took it all, so you wouldn’t because I love you Sweet Pea.” She closed her eyes, letting the pain of her injuries finally sink in. Sweet Pea looked at (y/n) for a moment before opening his mouth to talk.
“I-” A knock on the door cut him off before a nurse walked in, her eyes inspecting the dirty Serpent before walking to (y/n).
“Looks like you need more meds.” The nurse smiled at (y/n) before grabbing the IV tub, injecting morphine into it. She looked at Sweet Pea, his lips slightly parted. “They should kick in, in about five minutes. It’s best if you let her rest.” She quickly scurried out of the room and Sweet Pea walked back towards (y/n), grabbing her hand softly before placing a kiss on it.
“I love you too (y/n), which is why I won’t rest until the bitch Penny Peabody gets what she deserves.” Sweet Pea’s voice was calm, too calm for (y/n)’s liking.
“Fangs?” (Y/N) started to question before she closed her eyes.
“We’ll talk about Fangs when you’re well rested.” Sweet Pea kissed her hand once more before she drifted off to sleep. He sat there, looking at the girl he loved, still feeling the rage he felt towards the bitch who caused this.
“How is she?” Jughead’s voice startled Sweet Pea, his head turning to look at his fellow Serpent.
“Resting.” Sweet Pea spoke lowly and Jughead sighed. “I’m going after Peabody and those Ghoulies; I'm not going to let them get away with this.” Sweet Pea looked back at (y/n), the gauze in her arm only a reminder of what had happened tonight.
“Okay, but right now your main focus is here, once we’re all recovered, we’ll take them by surprise. They’ll pay Sweet Pea, they all will.” Jughead nodded his head, Sweet Pea doing the same.

The Set Up
Requested: @chellybear98 Hey can you do a sweet pea imagine where you’re best friends with jughead and he finds out that you have feelings for sweet pea and he tries to set you guys up? Love your writing btw 🥰 keep it up ❤️
A/N: This is a long one haha, I had so much fun writing this one.
Warnings: Violence w/ Reggie, Cursing
Summary: Your from the northside, best friends with Jughead what happens when he catches on to you liking a Serpent
Word Count: 4449
Y/N POV
You sat there watching Sweet Pea play basketball, remembering the first time that you met in person.
*Flashback*
Today’s the day the Serpents were coming to Riverdale High. You have been friends with Jughead your entire life, so much so that his dad is basically your uncle, so when your parents up and left with no word to you, you moved in with the Jones’s. FP always told you they had to leave to protect you and you trusted him. He wouldn’t let you go to Southside high even when Jughead was forced to go for a short time, but luckily it was only for a month or two and now he was coming back. Jughead was one of your only friends you didn’t relate to the Northsiders and up until Jughead took over the Serpents FP made sure you both stayed far away. You haven’t even met any of them in person yet you’ve only seen them around they don’t even know you live with the Jones family.
You stood at your locker awaiting your best friends arrival. It had only been a month and a half but it felt like so many years. You saw then walk in but you knew how Serpents were or at least you were always told how you didn’t want to run up and risk the entire gang stepping up to you and you also didn’t want to freak them out so you stood and watched. They walked in and up to Veronica's welcome table. They were getting their schedules when Reggie came down the stairs with Cheryl. You saw Jughead and got lost in who he was with, a girl you knew as Toni who you met one time, another guy that seemed to be close to them and a tall guy. You saw him before and if you recalled correctly his name did not suit him from what you knew. He was a big asshole always talking shit about the Northside but you really didn’t blame him you assumed he just wanted to protect his family and the Northside was always trying to fight, but you do have to say there was something intriguing about him, maybe it was the dark hair or the fact that he was always in a flannel when you’d see him around the trailer park. You were knocked out of your thoughts when Archie was pushing Reggie back trying not to start a fight.
“Need I remind you these greaser snakes showed up at your place trying to kick your ass” and then you heard Sweet Pea
“Happy to finish what we started” You stepped in.
“Actually Reggie if I remember correctly your boy started the fight, he went to their side of the town first and waved oh what was it again? Well you know so if you want me to tell Keller who actually started the fight I sure as hell can or you can turn around and stop trying to pick fights that we know you won’t win” a deep voice interrupted.
”Alright! That’s enough pomp and circumstance. Everyone let’s get to class. Now!” You watched Reggie turn on his heels as you waved goodbye and turned back to the Serpents that stood behind you.
Toni spoke up “that was badass, Y/N right?”
“You remember”
“Of course Jugheads best friend”
“Funny but I think the name suits me better”
“Me too haha, any way you know me and Jug but not the rest of us. This is Fangs, and Sweet Pea”
“Nice to meet you, I’ve seen you guys around Sunnyside before sorry I never said hi” You really were sorry but you promised FP you wouldn’t. Sweet Pea looked pissed.
“Look if you didn’t want to talk to us then why defend us now?”
“It's… complicated”
“Doesn’t seem complicated now. Look thanks for trying to be a superhero but we don’t need one”
“I…” before you could finish the Serpents turned and went to their classes. Jughead apologized for the way Sweet Pea acted and told you not to take offense because it was just how he was. You went through classes pretty easily, but what was odd was that you hadn’t seen Reggie. You walked to the rec room because you had a free period.
“Hey Jug, how’s being back”
“Well the hospitality is as good as always”
“Toni, Fangs, Sweet Pea” before anyone could respond they all got interrupted by Weatherbee
“You guys! Yes, you all of you come with me, Now!” You all got up following him out into the hallway. You looked down to see a poorly executed Serpent.
“Which of you defaced our school seal?”
“It’s what they do principal Weatherbee, they tag their turf” of course it was Reggie.
“Really Reggie could you be more transparent”
“They did this Principal Weatherbee”
“No actually Reggie they didn’t. A true Serpent would paint it right, and this well is just plain wrong. You see a Serpent's tongue is split in two at the end what you painted just has squiggly lines no split... so next time you want to try to get someone in trouble do it right k?”
‘Principal Weatherbee who showed you this?”
“Reggie, yes and Reggie was also not in class last period so…”
“Reginald my office, Now!” Weatherbee walked off and Reggie stepped towards you.
“You just made a big mistake Y/N”
“Big? Didn’t know that word was in your vocabulary… I mean you do remember the photos you sent me right?” His arm landed on your shoulder for only a split second before it was pushed off. “Get your hands off of her”
“Oh yeah, snake what are you gonna do” you watched Sweet Pea's fist coil back but you stepped in front of him. “Sweet Pea don’t you won this battle walk away... I mean at least till your off school property then go for it” you grabbed his jacket. “We're going to class, now plus Reggie has an appointment in the office anyway” You watched the Bulldogs grab Reggie back and you walked off with Sweet Pea.
“Why wouldn’t you let me hit him? Still, have to defend your Northside buddies”
“You know nothing about my life I didn’t let you hit him because Weatherbee was watching from the doorway, so realize that my alliance is not with the Northside I hate them” You hadn’t seen Sweet Pea for the rest of the day. Something about him turned you on. Maybe it was the way he protected you or maybe it was the way that he defended everyone he cared about. You started your walk home before a motorcycle pulled up next to you.
“Look I’m sorry do you want a ride?”
“From you, no I’m good” You wanted to say yes but they couldn’t know you lived with the Jones family it was meant to be kept a secret hell the Northside didn’t even know they thought you lived on Elm Street.
“Please”
“Sweet Pea I said no”
“Fine Northsider”
Flashback Over
The game was going well Serpents winning you were the only one in the stands. It was Bulldogs against the Serpents, not an official game. You watched him play; the way his legs moved so swiftly around everyone on the court, the way his arms tensed when he shot the ball, even the way his hair hung into his face when he’d lean over.
“You should really stop staring Y/N, not a good look on you” You looked up to see Jughead looming over you.
“How long have you been there”
“Long enough… You like him I know you do”
“I do not like Sweet Pea”
“You do just think about it”
“Don’t need to”
“Whatever you say, I’ll catch you later want me to bring home dinner from Pops”
Did you like Sweet Pea? That's when you started thinking. After that first time, you met you were almost inseparable after that. You hung out with the whole friend group but with Sweet Pea it was different. He defended you against Reggie and other people even taking a hit a few times. He was always there and you could talk to him basically about anything. He was like a best friend but so was Jug and the way you felt about both of them was completely different. Maybe Jug was right but it didn’t matter you thought Sweet Pea would never like you back so you always pushed the feelings away. You also didn’t want to lose him you’ve lied to him about who you are for so long he couldn’t find out. You thought if he did that he would hate you. You snuck out of the basketball game before he could see you.
Time Jump 2 months - Sweet Pea’s POV
I tried starting my bike but it wasn’t turning on, I’d have to get Jones to help me figure out what was going on.
“Jones I need something”
“Fine but first I have a question for you”
“Do you like Y/N”
“No”
“Really, because you sure do hang out with her a lot you also kind of protect her like a girlfriend oh and if I recall you got jealous when Reggie flirted with her”
“Being friends with a Northsider and liking a Northsider are completely different Jones”
“Really the Northsider bullshit you know damn well that is an excuse Sweet Pea. You know what whatever let’s drop it didn’t you say you needed something?”
“Yeah my bike I don’t know what’s going on”
“Bring it to my trailer tonight around 5, I’ll meet you there and we’ll fix it up alright”
“Yeah, thank’s Jones” He was right I did like Y/N but I couldn’t tell her that. I tried keeping her at a distance for so long, but I couldn’t. I loved talking to her. I wasn’t used to liking people I always tried pushing them away. Everyone always ends up leaving me and I can't have that happen with Y/N
Jughead’s POV
I needed to get Sweet Pea and Y/N together. They like each other and everyone sees it, but them. They are both so afraid of losing each other they never talk about their feelings. I needed to set them up. The bike! Y/N was supposed to work in the garage tonight anyway on a car for a race so that means I can get Sweet Pea to show up. I mean they need to face their feelings somehow and if this is the only way then so be it. Sweet Pea was already bringing it over so I just had to call Y/N.
“Hey Y/N”
“What’s up Jug?”
“I need your help tonight”
“With…”
“My bike I don’t know what’s going on it’s making a weird noise, and you're the only one I know that can fix it sooooo…..”
“Yeah, yeah I’ll be there I gotta work anyway remember”
“Cool I’ll meet you at the garage around 5 and I’ll pick up Pops before I meet you”
“Alright”
Y/N POV
No one knew you worked in the garage you often kept the door closed or worked at night, Jug would pay you money to work and fix up cars for races and other things and you would sometimes work on bikes on the side.
You were working on the car waiting for Jug to show up. You had your head in the hood when you heard the door open.
“Hey Jug?” you stood up turning around
“Sweet Pea? What are you doing here?”
“Y/N! What are you doing on the Southside, you shouldn’t be here this late” Sweet Pea hated when you were on the Southside at night. There were often times where he would walk you ‘home’ and then you would end up having to walk back to the Jones’s trailer. He shouldn’t even be in the garage no one ever came in the garage when you were working.
“I… I uh had to check this engine for Jug that’s all”
“You know how to look at an engine”
“Doesn’t matter I’m leaving now I’ll catch you later”
“I’ll walk you home I’ll just leave my bike here for Jones” You hoped he would let you walk out so that you could walk a few mins then go in through the trailers back door and he wouldn’t see you.
“No!”
“No? I’m not arguing with you. This is the third time we’ve done this. Why do I have to keep telling you to stop coming to the Southside at night it’s not safe, especially for a Northsider. Also, I thought you had work?”
“I”
“What is going on with you”
“Fuck off Sweet Pea I’ll go home okay” you started walking away but he followed. “Sweet Pea go wait for Jughead I’ll be fine”
“Funny if you think I’m letting you walk around here alone at night”
“You can’t follow me”
“The hell I can’t let me walk you, I need to know your safe”
“Fuck being safe just leave me alone”
“No, why can't I walk you I always do” you broke you were tired of hiding everything from someone you cared so deeply for.
“Because I am fucking tired okay and I don’t want to have to walk to the Northside and then all the way back here after, okay so...” Oh shit, you just told him.
“What are you talking about?”
“Shit! just drop it okay”
“I’m not going to drop it. What do you mean walk back here why would you do that” You grabbed his hand and turned around walking back to the Jones’s trailer and taking the key out of your pocket.
“Why are we back here”
“Shut up Sweet Pea” you unlocked the door and led him back into your room. The pictures of you and your friends hung on your walls. The photos of you and Sweet Pea sat on your desk, and he was staring directly at them.
“This is my home, I am not some prissy ass Northsider. I’ve lived with the FP and Jughead for years. It’s a fucking lie okay. I’m sorry”
“Why lie”
“Because I was told to. I’ve lived here for years. I come home at night so no one sees. It was to protect me apparently. I tried joining the Serpents so I could feel like a part of the Southside but FP wouldn’t let me. The closest thing I get to being a Serpent is working on the cars for the races. But it doesn’t fucking matter because I lied to you and you hate liars, I’m sorry Sweet Pea. I’m sorry I lied to you. I should have told you. I should have fucking told you and I didn’t and now I’m going to lose you” you stood up grabbing your backpack running out of the house. You couldn’t hear that he was going to leave. You couldn’t stand losing him. Before you could walk any further than the end of the trailer lot Sweet Pea grabbed your arm pulling you back.
“Y/N stop! You are not going to lose me”
“But I lied to you, you always said to me you hated liars. I promised you I wouldn’t lie to you and I did”
“Doesn’t matter Y/N you did it for a reason. Just let’s forget about it okay”
“Sweet Pea I’m sorry” a tear has slipped down your eye. He brought his hand up wiping it away with his thumb.
“Well since your this great mechanic do you want to help me fix my bike”
“I’d like that” You walked back to the garage turning the light in the corner on and telling Sweet Pea to pull his bike in.
Sweet Pea’s POV
“So what’s wrong with it Pea?”
“I don’t know I tried fixing it there's a rattling noise”
“Did you check the chain?”
“No” I watched her lean down checking the chain on my bike.
“Yeah that’s it, Pea, your chain is basically gonna fail soon I can put some lubricant on it and the sound will stop but when I make the run to the auto shop in Greendale I’ll pick up a chain for you alright I’ll have the bike done Friday”
“Thank you Y/N”
“No problem” I watched her stand up wiping her face, and there was black from the chain on her cheek.
“Y/N”
“Yeah?”
“Your cheek” I reached up to her cheek wiping it away. I let my hand rest against her face, and I don’t know what happened but next thing I know she was leaned against my bike and I was kissing her. “Y/N, I… I’m sorry”
“Don’t be, Pea I”
“I… I have to go, I’ll be by on Tuesday to pick up the bike”
“Pea wait!” I heard her call me but I had to leave. I couldn’t risk losing her. Everyone I ever cared about always ended up getting hurt or leaving me. I couldn’t lose her too.
One week later (Friday) - Y/N Pov
Usually, Sweet Pea would message you every day. It’s been 3 days and no word from him. The last time this happened he got hurt while on a Serpent job. The only reason you knew was because you were freaking out and Jughead told you. Jughead, this was all his fault. He was trying to do something and he ruined what you had with Sweet Pea. There was a knock at your bedroom door.
“Y/N I’m coming in” the door opened and Jughead stood there. “Y/N I’m sorry”
“You ruined everything! He hasn’t talked to me in days. I told you I didn’t like him so what were you trying to do”
“He liked you and you liked him I wanted you to be happy. What even happened?”
“He came over I got angry he tried walking me home it was late I wanted to just go to bed after working on the bike so I told him I’d walk myself but you know how he is, he wanted me to safe so I yelled and told him this was my home. I apologized for lying but he said to drop it. I went to fix his bike and got grease on my cheek. He wiped it off and kissed me and bolted saying he’d pick up his bike on Friday when I had it done. I've tried talking to him and I get no response even at school he has ignored me. It's been almost a week since I fixed his bike. This entire week I’ve been ignored by him Jughead”
“I don’t know what happened Y/N I’m sorry”
“Doesn't matter now. You know I always tried staying away from people after my parents left. I was afraid I’d lose everyone I cared about. You and FP were the only people that were always there. Then Sweet Pea came, I tried not liking him, I tried to keep him at a distance, but we just kept getting closer. I was right, everyone I care about leaves eventually”
“I”
“Get out”
“I’m sorry”
“Get! Out!”
“We have school”
“Yeah and I’m not going, I’ll be here for Pea to pick up his bike later if he even does”
Today was the day he was supposed to pick up his bike. It’s been a week. A week since you worked on his bike. A week since you told him your lie. A week since he kissed you. It didn’t matter though you knew you lost him. You waited in the garage for him sitting on the floor leaning against his bike crying
Sweet Pea’s POV
It killed me the entire week, seeing Y/N and acting like I barely knew her. I shouldn’t have kissed her. I shouldn’t have gotten that close. I sat at my desk waiting for her to come to school, but she hadn’t shown up. I hope she was alright, I had to ask Jughead.
“Jughead have you seen Y/N”
“Oh so now you care Sweet Pea”
“You know damn well that I care”
“Really because this entire week she’s tried talking to you and you ignored her. Every night I heard her cry, every single night. She worked on your bike tuning it up making it perfect, and even then I’d hear her cry and that is on you”
“I couldn’t lose her”
“But you being afraid to lose her you pushed her away Sweet Pea you're losing her now and you don’t even realize it”
“I…”
“Look I fucked up, I shouldn’t have gotten in between you two. I know it’s my fault and I am sorry, but get your head out of your ass Sweet Pea. Just talk to her. Look I know you hate talking about your feelings I get it, but I also know she is the one person you could talk to about anything without feeling like you were giving your life away. I know you care about her. I see it. Maybe it’s time you actually do something about it. She isn’t coming to school said she wanted to finish up with your bike”
Jughead was right, I was scared. Scared I’d lose her if she knew the way I really felt. I guess I didn’t think in me pushing her away and trying to keep her at a distance I was losing her. Fuck school I had to go and see her. I had to apologize. I had to tell her the way I really felt. I couldn’t lose her. I was being stupid so stupid.
I walked up to the garage, looking in my heart broke. She sat there sitting against my bike. Knees pulled up her head in her hands. I think I heard crying, I made her cry, I hurt her. I was trying to protect her but I hurt her. I knocked my fist against the doorframe.
“Y/N…”
“Keys are on the table” I watched her get up about to leave the garage and walk inside. “Y/N wait”
“What? What the fuck do you want Sweet Pea”
“I’m sorry”
“Save it, get the keys and get the fuck away”
“Come with me”
“What?”
“Come with me I want to take you somewhere, please”
“Why would I?”
“Look I know you hate me right now. I don’t deserve to ask you for something but please come with me”
“You have an hour” I climbed onto my bike and she climbed behind me. I had to explain to her. I needed to her know how much I cared, and why I pushed her away all of a sudden, she had to know. Whether I got her back or not she had to know.
Y/N POV
Why you were giving him the time of day you didn’t know. He broke you, the last time you felt that broken was when your parents left. Sweet Pea pulled up to a field filled with flowers and a single tree in the center, it was beautiful.
“Where are we?”
“The field that gave me my name”
“What?”
“These flowers are sweet peas, here” he bent down picking some flowers and handing them to you. “Follow me, please” he held out his hand to you and you grabbed it. You followed him to the tree and there was a bench in front of it. “Pea where are we”
“Look I know I was an asshole, I get it and I am so sorry. I pushed you away for a reason, and the reason was stupid and I did it and I’m sorry”
“I get that your sorry but why?”
“This tree is carved with every person’s name that I ever really cared for and lost. My mom used to take me here when I was a little kid. My dad died when I was a baby he died on deployment. I had my grandma for a while but she passed when I was young. My mom couldn’t deal with it all… she well, she died in a drunk driving accident. I was afraid of losing you Y/N, and it isn’t an excuse but it’s the truth. When I met you those months ago it was like a door opened. You made me happy. You were the only person I could share my feelings with that actually listened, you were the only person I could be myself with. I couldn’t lose you I wouldn’t be able to handle it. I kissed you that night. Everyone I have ever cared about has lost me, but all I have wanted this entire week was to be with you to kiss you again or to at least make you smile. I pushed you away because I was afraid of losing you but I lost you in the process, and I am so sorry”
“I…”
“I’m sorry I’ll bring you home”
“No, I want to be here with you”
“You do?”
“Look I know how hard it is to lose people. I never got close to people because I was afraid to lose them. When I was little my parents left to ‘protect me’ at least that is what FP says, but I don’t believe him I think he was the one trying to protect me. Anyway, I never got close to anyone but FP and Jughead, well until you came along. I felt happy with you, I felt safe. I felt like when I was with you nothing could be taken from me and nothing could hurt me. I kissed you back that night and then you left.I felt like it was my fault I should have told you I liked you sooner but I was scared, but I realized I really like you Sweet Pea”
“I love you Y/N”
“Wha, what?”
“I love you, but I am so afraid of losing you”
“I have an idea”
“What?”
“Why don’t we make this tree have the names of people you care about, and not people you cared about and lost”
“What do you mean?”
“Do you have your knife”
“Always”
“Can I have it?”
“Yeah, here” You took the knife from his hand and walked over to the tree, you carved your name in it.
“Now this tree is people you care about not people you lost, and you are not going to lose me, I love you too. You turned towards him grabbing his neck and kissing him.
“So maybe Jughead actually did something good for once, I’ll have to thank him”
“Shut up and kiss me Sweet Pea”

Thunder and Rain
A/N: lmfao I just want to read some sin but I read all i could find so here I am donating my filth to you. I as usual own nothing. This was inspired by season 2 episode 3 (as you could tell by the direct line quotes!)
Warnings: its sex. Under my user it aint ever gentle unless requested.
Masterlist
Even though you were a Northsider, Toni Topaz was still your best friend. The two of you met in Kindergarten when you still lived on the South Side. Your father was given raise in the middle of that school year and your parents thought it best if you finished the year there and over the summer move to the North Side. Thus that summer you moved out of Sunnyside Trailer Park and onto Elm Street, becoming neighbors with Archie Andrews and Betty Cooper. You were friendly with both, but you never felt like you truly belonged with the group. You spent most of your childhood having sleepovers and play-dates with Toni anyways. Even though the two of you were best friends, you guys kept your south and north side lives private with each other. That is until one day when Toni invited you to help her and Jughead out to clean up the Red and Black offices.
“Well it’s no New York Times,” Jughead commented after opening the dusty curtains.
“But, hey, kudos on finding your safe space, Snowflake.” Toni responded
“It could be worse!” You chirped in as you blew the dust off of an old computer.
“Yeah! All I need now is a photographer with an amazing eye and a hunger for social justice. And I think I’ll be set.” Jughead persuaded.
You looked over at Toni wiggling your eyebrows. Suddenly the door busted open with three tall and muscular South Side Serpents. The one standing in the middle spoke
“Topaz. Let’s bounce.” He said quickly looking at her and then putting his attention on Jughead.
He's so unbelievably handsome. You thought to yourself.
“Jones, you wanna come with? We’re going down to the quarry.” The boy spoke with a mesmerizingly sexy deep voice.
“Uh, I don’t have my beach bod yet,” Jughead said softly, looking away from the boy.
Anger sparked in the boys' eyes.
“What, you’ll ask for help from the serpents when you need it but you won’t hand with us? Don’t come crawling to us hat in hand when some Ghoulie decides to earn his stripes by taking out FP Jones’s kid.” He hissed.
“Duly noted. Thank you, Sweet Pea. I appreciate what you and the Serpents have done for me and my dad. I do. But I’m done. Okay? No more favors coming your way.” Jughead shot back.
Your eyes went wide as Sweet Pea began to get closer to Jughead.
“Hey, hey, hey. He made up his mind, okay? Take the hint, Sweet Pea. He’s just not that into you. Let’s motor.” Toni intervened.
“Y/N come on,” Toni said as she turned back looking at you and Jughead. “Catch you later Jones.”
You quickly grabbed your small (y/f/c) leather backpack, waved goodbye to Jughead and powerwalked up to Toni. The two of you caught up with the rest of the Serpents who were all waiting on their bikes ready to go.
“Whose this Topaz?” Sweet Pea questioned leaning on his bike looking directly at you.
“Y/N.” You spoke up and smiled at him.
“Sweet Pea.” Sweet Pea responded and drove off.
You looked over at Toni who was already on her bike.
“Get on girl!” She said.
You hopped on Toni's bike and grabbed on to her waist. The drive to the quarry was fairly quick and uneventful. As you got off her bike your legs were a bit wobbly, as you have never ridden on Toni's bike before. The young serpents had gathered around a makeshift of benches from old logs and a self-made firepit. Sweet Pea was sitting on a log with a tan boy laughing and drinking a beer.
“C’mon!” Toni said pulling you away from your thoughts.
You followed her towards Sweet Pea and the tan boy.
“Sweet Pea, Fangs, meet Y/N. Play nice as I go get us a beer.” Toni said as she swiftly walked away.
“So where are you from?” Fangs asked.
“The Northside.” You replied and Sweet Pea quickly huffed clearly annoyed at the answer. “But I was born on the Southside and moved after kindergarten. How long have you guys known Toni?” You added trying to lessen the clear hatred from Sweet Pea.
“Since the 1st grade, we were all sat next to each other.” Fangs said cheerfully smiling.
You smiled back and as swiftly as Toni left, she returned with the two beers.
“Here Y/N.” Toni said as she handed you the beer.
“Thanks!” You smiled at her taking the drink.
The three of you engaged in multiple conversations and Sweet Pea stayed quiet. As the sun set, rain began to fall.
“The Wyrm?” Fangs suggested.
Sweet Pea nodded as he stood up, and walked to his bike. Toni agreed as well and you were curious on what the Whyte Wyrm looked like. Once again you hopped on Toni’s bike and she drove the two of you to the Wyrm.
“Is Sweet Pea always quiet?” You asked Toni as you slid off her bike.
“I've only seen him as quiet as he's been around new people or when he's upset. He's a pretty reserved guy. Why do you ask?” Toni questioned.
“Its nothing really, he just didn't seem like type when he was talking to Jughead.” You pointed out as the two of you headed inside the Wyrm.
Toni made an mmm noise as the two of you spotted Fangs and Sweet Pea by the pool table.
“What kinda drink do you want?” Toni asked as she walked over to the bar.
“Jack and coke please!” You shouted as you walked over to Fangs and Sweet Pea.
“You play?” Fangs asked as he hit the cue ball which rolled knocking the 9 striped and 10 striped into the hole.
“I have before. I'm not good though.” You said as you climbed up on a spectator chair.
Toni sat down next to you and handed you your jack and coke. You sipped quietly and observed the boys playing pool.

You were on your third drink, and tipsy and Sweet Pea was up to his second game playing another Serpent for money. It was raining harder than before, making you dread it when you would have to leave. Suddenly, the police barged in, grabbing Serpents and handcuffing them. The four of you ran out, all running in different directions as the police went to grab all of you. There you stood in the parking lot of the Wyrm with the rain beating down on you, instantly soaking you. Since you did not really know where you were you stubbled in a random direction. Out of nowhere, a motorcycle stopped next to you.
“Get on Northsider.” It was Sweet Pea who removed his helmet and handed it to you.
You hesitated, but nodded and slid onto his bike. He drove fast, which made you hold on tighter than you did with Toni. The fast driving suddenly halted at a red light. That is when you realized, the vibration coming from the motorcycle which was hitting the right spot against your jean shorts, you being tipsy and the mysterious knight in leather was kind of a turn on.
“You okay?” Sweet Pea asked cutting the silence and breaking your train of dirty thoughts.
“Oh, yeah I'm fine.” You responded. “Where are we going?” You added on realizing you had no idea where you were or where the destination was.
“My place.” Sweet Pea said as the light turned green.
Before you could finish your daydream of riding more than the motorcycle it stopped for the last time outside a trailer. He got off and began to walk towards the door until he heard a thump and saw you on the ground giggling to yourself. He swiftly turned around and helped you up.
“Are you okay?” Sweet Pea asked, and for the first time, he genuinely sounded worried.
“Yea, the mud was there to catch me.” You joked.
“So why did you bring me to your place and not to Toni’s or back to my house?” You puzzled.
“The storms going to get worse and I don't know if Toni is home or was grabbed. This isn't the first time the cops came into our turf, take my family, and interrogate us about some bullshit and try to coarse us to rat out some bullshit confession of our own.” Sweet Pea replied slowly getting angrier.
“So the less you guys know about where everyone is the better?” You assumed.
“Yea.” He mumbled as he unlocked the front door.
Inside the trailer was clean and cozy which surprised you. Sweet Pea walked away into a hallway, as you took off your shoes and left them by the front door. You did not make it far from the front door as a framed picture that hung on the wall caught your attention. It was a young boy, presumably Sweet Pea with an older man wearing a leather jacket and a woman.
“Here. There's a bathroom down the hall towards the left.” Sweet Pea spoke, watching you stare at the picture.
You nodded, grabbing the folded tee shirt and sweat pants. You walked slowly towards the bathroom as you wanted to look at every detail. The bathroom was small and simple. You took off your dirty, soaked clothes and put on the teeshirt only as it was huge on you. Inspecting yourself in the mirror you looked like a hot mess. Your hair was all wet soaking the teeshirt where it laid. Your makeup had smudged a bit which you wiped away with toilet paper. You folded your clothes and took them in one hand and Sweet Peas clean, dry pants in the other.
“Hey, do you have a plastic bag or something for my clothes?” You asked Sweet Pea finding him in the kitchen.
“Give them to me, I own a dryer you know.” Sweet Pea said chuckling.
You handed them over, never breaking eye contact.
“And the sweat pants?” You questioned.
“Was there something wrong with them?” He asked taking the pants back.
“No, I just hate pants.” You replied fiddling with one of your rings.
You followed Sweet Pea to his laundry room which turned out to be a closet hiding the washer and dryer. There he added his dirty clothes with yours and grabbed a blanket from the top shelf. He then shut the closet doors and walked back to the front part of the trailer placing it on the couch.
“You can have my bed and I’ll sleep on the couch.” Sweet Pea stated.
Thunder and lightning abruptly struck. Causing you to jump and latch onto Sweet Pea. Quickly realizing what you had done, you let go.
“I’m so sorry!” You said repeatedly biting your lip. “Also you take the bed I don't mind the couch! I really don't mind and I don't want to impose!” You nervously went on as the thunder and lightning continued making you more nervous.
“So a group of bikers, and riding on a motorcycle with someone you barely know doesn't scare you but a storm does?” Sweet Pea asked smirking.
“I’ve known Toni for years and shes a biker! And you're friends with Toni so I knew it was safe!” You quickly defended. “My mom died in the middle of a storm like this when I was little and my dad was on a business trip. When the ambulance came to take her they left me behind and the power cut out.” You added on, fidgeting with your ring.
“I'm sorry.” Sweet Pea said awkwardly. “Want me to put on a movie? It could help distract you.” He added.
❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧
Sweet Pea ended up playing a movie that neither of you was really interested in. One thing led to another, a few conversations sparked but there you were in Sweet Pea's trailer, on his couch sitting on top of him making out. His hands went to your lower back and even lower finding their way to gripping your ass. You let out a moan as you pulled on his bottom teeth with your mouth. He picked you up swiftly and carried you to his bedroom dropping you on his bed. He quickly pounced on you forming love bites on your neck.
“Fuuuuccckkk” You moaned out leaving a trail down his back with your nails.
Sweet Pea roughly took the tee shirt you wore off. You grabbed the hem of his shirt and removed it as well. And hungrily went after his sweat pants. There his member sprung out and you ravished it. Quickly licking up the shaft and sucking on the head. Sweet Pea hissed out a moan as he pulled your hair. You went deeper and gagged on him. When you went up for air, you bobbed on his rock hard cock a bit more. It didn't take much after that for Sweet Pea to cum in your mouth. You swallowed it down as you locked eyes with him.
“Baby girl that's so hot.” Sweet Pea cooed as he bent down bring you closer to him.
You felt his breath against your beating core. Smirking, Sweet Pea attacked your core with his mouth.
“Sweets” You moaned out
That boy’s tongue was sent from the gods. His fingers came in contact with your core immediately finding your g spot and nerve endings. One hand grasped his raven locks and the other outstretched in the sheets.
“Pea please fuck me” You whimpered.
“Beg baby girl” Sweet Pea purred.
“Pea” You cried out. “I need you inside me.”
You began squirming underneath him and the lust in his eyes grew deeper. He reached over to his bedside and grabbed a pair of handcuffs. He then grabbed your hands and placed your hands through the cuffs, the chain passing through the bed frame. You’ve never been tied up before, but it just made your lust for Sweet Pea deeper. You spread your legs wider, begging for more. Sweet Pea adjusted himself and slowly inserted his member in you. He gave you time to adjust, by pacing himself slowly.
“Faster” You whimpered biting your lip.
He did as you asked causing the bed frame to slam against the wall. You held on tight to the chains on the cuffs, allowing incoherent moans to escape your mouth. Sweet Pea began to leave love bites on your neck and collar bone driving you crazy.
“Baby girl you taste so good” Sweet Pea cooed in your ear as he nibbled on it.
By now a thin layer of sweat began to glisten on both of your bodies.
“Sweets I’m going to cum” you managed to moan out.
“Cum for me baby” Sweet Pea purred as his thumb worked on your clit.
You released as Sweet Pea rode you out, and once you were done he released himself all over your abdomen. He then bent over and freed you from the handcuffs.
“Round two in the shower?” you asked biting your lip.

Yes Part 1-Sweet Pea Imagine
Yes Series Master List is HERE
Bethany Moore had gone to school on the Southside of Riverdale her whole life, even after her mother had abandoned her. She met Toni Topaz first, growing up in the trailer next to her, the two became fast friends. When they started school Bethany met Sweet Pea, whom she became best friends with as time went on. Then the three met Fangs Fogarty when his family moved to Riverdale. The four were inseparable. Upon entering middle school Bethany realized she was in love with her tall dark-haired best friend. When they turned fourteen Bethany and Sweet Pea joined the Southside Serpents. Bethany had joined to help provide for her and her sister, seeing as how they were barely skimming by, then Toni joined a few months later and Fangs a year after them. Around the same time as Bethany and Sweet Pea joined the Serpents, Bethany’s mother left town with her younger sister Addison. Bethany never really knew whom her father was, only that he up and left after the birth of her sister, but he reached out to her mother, which caused her to leave town, leaving Bethany in the trailer to fend for herself. She had lived alone for a few months before Sweet Pea found out and practically forced her to move in with him, seeing as he was on his own too, as his parents up and left town a few months prior. After living together for a few months, the two confessed their feelings and began dating.
It wasn’t much of a surprise to Bethany when they finally decided to shut down Southside High. When Bethany heard the news, she was sitting outside with Toni and Jughead Jones. Bethany smiled when her boyfriend came outside joking around with Fangs and other Serpents, her smile faltered upon hearing the news, but she put on a small smile for the sake of the others, knowing Toni and Sweet Pea were excited about it. Sweet Pea and Bethany both arrived at Riverdale High before the other Serpents, so they waited, Sweet Pea’s arms wrapped around Bethany from behind.
“Do you guys ever let up?” Toni asked teasingly when she walked up upon seeing Sweet Pea peppering kisses on Bethany’s neck.
“No.” They replied together before they all entered the building. Jughead first, then Sweet Pea with his arm around Bethany’s shoulder, next to Bethany was Toni, Fangs, and the rest of the Serpents.
“God, it’s so, Northside.” Bethany mumbled. They stopped in front of Veronica Lodge, Kevin Keller, and Archie Andrews.
“Friends. On behalf of the students and faculty here at Riverdale High, welcome to your new school.” Bethany rolled her eyes. “To ease this transition, I’ve set up a registration desk where you can get your locker assignments, class schedules, and a list of sports and extracurriculars. We encourage each and every one of you to drink deeply from the cup that is fair Riverdale.” Next, they heard the voice of Cheryl Blossom.
“Stand down, Eva Peron.” Bethany watched as a redheaded girl came down the stairs with a group of people behind her.
“There’s the school spirit I so fondly remember.” Jughead stated. Cheryl stopped in front of the group of Serpents.
“Cheryl, no one invited Fascist Barbie to the party.” Veronica stated.
“Wrong Veronica, no one invited Southside scum to our school. Listen up ragamuffins. I will not allow Riverdale High’s above average GPA to suffer because of classrooms that are overcrowded with underachievers. So please do us all a favor and find some other school to debase with your hardscrabble ways.”
“Why don’t you come over here and say that to my face?” Toni stepped forward along with Bethany. Bethany stood next to Toni, her arms crossed. Sweet Pea followed, standing behind his girlfriend, Fangs behind Toni.
“Happily, Queen of the Buskers.”
“Okay guys, everyone, can we just put our Northside-Southside differences apart and start over? A new slate?” Archie said.
“Mm, you don’t speak for the Bulldogs, Andrews.” Reggie Mantel stated. “And need I remind you, these greaser snakes showed up at your place trying to kick your ass.”
“Happy to finish what we started.” Sweet Pea moved forward, Jughead grabbed onto him while Fangs tried pushing Toni and Bethany back, but Bethany moved next to Sweet Pea.
“I’m so over the toxic masculinity in this hallway right now.”
“Alright. That’s enough pomp and circumstance. Everyone let’s get to class, now.” Bethany grabbed on to Sweet Pea who didn’t move.
“Sweets, come on, it’s not worth it.” Bethany said touching his arm, he kept eye contact with Reggie but through his arm over her shoulder. “Come on baby, forget about it.” She said softly before leading him to follow after Jughead and Toni. “Let’s move.” She called back to the rest of the Serpents, them listening to Bethany seeing as she had been a Serpent longer than most of them.
“I should go back and- “
“And nothing Sweet Pea, we aren’t fighting anyone.” Bethany sighed. “We need to start off on the right foot here...”
“Says the girl who was ready to fight Cheryl Blossom.” Fangs stated.
“No, I was ready to defend Toni, it’s different than starting something.” Bethany said as they sat in the Student Lounge.
-
“I don’t think we properly met.” Bethany heard the voice of Veronica Lodge, that interrupted the conversation she was having while sitting on Sweet Pea’s lap. “Veronica Lodge.”
“Of the Park Avenue Lodges.” Jughead said while eating a chip.
“Toni, Topaz.”
“Oh, like the purple-colored gemstone. Love it.” Bethany heard Josie introduce herself and rolled her eyes along with Sweet Pea. Before they introduced Kevin. Kevin asked who Fangs was.
“And you are?” Veronica looked at Sweet Pea and Bethany. Bethany looked at Veronica’s outstretched hand and said nothing for a moment.
“That’s Bethany Moore and Sweet Pea.” Jughead said.
“Do you all have nicknames?” Josie had asked causing Bethany to groan.
“Most of us, yeah.” Toni nodded
“Well what’s yours?” Kevin asked Bethany.
“You don’t want to know.” Bethany and Toni said at the same time causing Fangs and Sweet Pea to laugh.
“Don’t be modest babe.” Sweet Pea said before Fangs spoke up getting a harsh glare from Bethany.
“She’s got two, mostly Bethy, but then there’s Goddess.” Fangs said as Jughead smirked.
“Goddess?” Veronica asked as Sweet Pea laughed causing Bethany to hit him.
“Asshole.” She mumbled before looking at Veronica. “When I was initiated into the Serpents, I was 14, this idiot.” She pointed to Sweet Pea. “Told me that I ‘Looked like a Goddess.’ And somehow that shit stuck with everyone.” Bethany stated before being interrupted by Weatherbee who told them all off for ‘vandalizing’ then told them no more Serpent Jackets. “This is bullshit!” Bethany yelled before walking away with Sweet Pea. After school the two ended up having a job for the Serpents.

“You guys are disgusting.” Toni teased as she walked into the student lounge to see Sweet Pea and Bethany wrapped around each other. Bethany pulled her face away from Sweet Pea’s and smiled at Toni.
“Sorry.” Bethany smiled turning towards Toni and Fangs. “Look at your legs.” Bethany teased seeing what Toni wore. “I don’t think I’ve seen this much skin since your dance.”
“Wait you saw her dance?” Sweet Pea asked. “Bullshit, she wouldn’t let me stay for that.” He pouted as Toni and Bethany rolled their eyes.
“Sweets.” Bethany looked at him. “I wouldn’t have let you stay for that, plus Toni is my best friend, of course I was there just like you delivered the last punch in Fangs’ initiation.” She stated.
“Guys.” Fangs pointed at Jughead wearing a Serpent jacket.
“Told you we should have worn ours.” Bethany said leaning into Sweet Pea.
-
Bethany was sitting in her English class, Toni sat next to her while Sweet Pea was in his Calculus class. Bethany’s phone went off a few times and she seen a text message from her mother that made her gather her things during the middle of a lecture and bolt out of the class room. Bethany began walking home. Meanwhile Toni texted Sweet Pea while grabbing her things and getting up the whole time the teacher yelling at her to sit down. Bethany’s phone continued going off for an hour before she responded to anyone. She responded to Sweet Pea who was constantly texting her asking where she was. She had been sitting at the Quarry for a while thinking of her past before hearing the sound of Sweet Pea’s motorcycle.
“Baby? You scared the shit out of me.” Sweet Pea got off his bike as Bethany moved to him and fell into his arms. “What happened? You went dark for an hour.” He said stroking her hair.
“My mother texted me. She and Addy are coming back, she thinks I still live at their trailer.” She stated softly. “I got overwhelmed, I’m sorry.” Bethany looked up at the tall boy with a small smile.
“Don’t do it again, you know I’m here whenever you need. Come on, let’s go home and watch some movies. I’ll get Kyle to go on the run tonight.” Sweet Pea and Bethany drove home and did just as Sweet Pea had suggested.
-
The next day flew by, Fangs got suspended for not wanting to wear the horrendous uniforms which Sweet Pea convinced Bethany to wear. The two were standing outside hesitant to go home.
“I have to go back to my mothers, I really don’t want to.” She said softly hugging onto Sweet Pea who was kissing her jaw.
“We could always go to the Wyrm and wait for her to find us.” He suggested which caused Bethany to smile.
“Mm, alcohol plus an old hag, seems like a grand time, count me in.” She smiled up at him before he handed her his helmet and taking a quick stop at their trailer to drop their things off before heading to the Wyrm, they were there an hour before the wicked witch of the Southside came storming in.
“Bethany Ann Moore!” Her mother, Francine Moore, screamed causing everyone to turn towards her except Bethany who continued her game of pool she was playing against Sweet Pea.
“What? Mind your own damn business.” Bethany stated hitting her ball into the hole and smirking at Sweet Pea as the other patrons in the bar turned away from the scene that was about to unfold. “Beat that handsome.” Bethany finally turned and looked at her mother as she leaned on the pool stick, it was then she noticed her sister. “Addy.” She smiled setting the queue stick down before moving over to hug her baby sister. “Look at you all grown up.”
“What happened to the trailer? It’s filthy!” Her mother said but Bethany ignored her.
“I missed you.” Addison said hugging her sister.
“Would be, no one’s lived there, in what, Sweets?” Bethany turned to her boyfriend.
“One year, seven months, five days.” He stated hitting his last ball into the hole. “You owe me that beer, Goddess.” He teased.
“Tell Hog to put it on my tab, I’ll pay it off this week.” She then looked back at her mom. “One year, seven months, and five days.” She repeated. “So, I would expect it to be filthy.”
“Where the fuck have you been living then?” Her mother asked as if she cared.
“In my trailer?” She said as if it was obvious. “I moved out, I wasn’t going to stay in that horrendous place alone Especially not after my own family abandoned me. So, I moved in with Sweet Pea.”
“That thug? No, absolutely not.” Francine stated with a roll of her eyes. “You’ll be moving back in,”
“Actually, I won’t be, and that ‘thug’, has taken better care of me than you ever did. I’m not a child mother, I stopped being a child when I was 14 and had to join a gang to protect my little sister because my drunk of a mother could have cared less about her or I.” Bethany turned her head to her boyfriend with a smile. “Sweets, I’m ready to go, the atmosphere here has changed into one that’s too toxic for me to be around. You ready?” She asked as he nodded downing the rest of his beer before slapping Fangs on the back and walking over to Bethany where he wrapped his arm around his shoulder before leading her out of the bar and back to their trailer.

Slithering His Way Out Pt 6
A/N: debating on just leaving this as the last chapter and working on all my other requests... let me know what you guys want me to do..
Part One Part Two Part Three Part Four Part Five
Starting a new school for anyone was hard enough, but what made it worse for Y/N was that whether people were going to like her or not was already decided just by her association with a certain group of people. She was already feeling the stares from everyone as she walked down the hall to where Archie told her he would be.
Approaching the table where Archie stood with a brunette next to him who was organizing papers Y/N called out the boy’s name. “Archie.” The redhead picked his head up along with the girl standing next to him. “Hey Y/N.” A light smile spread on the girl’s lips.
“Veronica Lodge.” The brunette said to Y/N sticking her hand out. Y/N accepted the hand shake. “Oo finally I meet the infamous girl who stopped a fight filled with who’s is bigger than who’s.” Glancing at Archie, Y/N could see the nervous smile on his face as he watched the girls interaction.
“Relax Archie.” Was all Y/N managed to say before a bell rang meaning school was about to start. And just like that, the serpents walked in.
Jughead followed by Sweet Pea walked through the doors looking around spotting Y/N. Sweet Pea nudged Jughead before pointing at his ex-girlfriend. The beanie boy nodded before leading the group over to Y/N.
Y/N watched as Sweet Pea let his cold stone facade fall for a second allowing relief to wash over it. She knew it was because no one had heard from her since she left Pop’s. She rolled her eyes before turning her back to the serpents that now stood behind her. Making eye contact with Archie, he raised his eyebrows as a way to ask if she was okay. Y/N nodded.
A familiar sent of cigarettes, leather and a very light hint of cologne filled her nose and she knew Sweet Pea was standing behind her. Y/n took a deep breath to calm herself down and zoned out as the brunette she now knew as Veronica went through a whole speech about drinking from the cup that is “fair Riverdale”.
What zoned her back in was a hand being placed on her shoulder and Jughead saying, “There’s the school spirit I so roundly remember.”
Y/N quickly shrugged the hand placed on her shoulder off as chills spread all over her body. Turning her eyes away from the redhead girl and the bulldog douche making their way down the stairs, she turned to Sweet Pea making eye contact with him. “Don’t.” She said sternly.
Sweet Pea crossed his arms as Y/N took a steps away from him now standing in between Jughead and Toni. Veronica was the first to speak. “Cheryl, no one invited fascist Barbie.” Cheryl was quick to snap back. “Wrong no one invited Southside scum to our school.”
All the deep breathing had gone to waste as Y/N heard insults being thrown at them. “The same scum your brother came to for a way out.” Y/N said just above her breath. Cheryl’s face faltered hearing Y/N’s words, but she quickly recovered. “Listen up here Ragamuffins.”
“I will not let Riverdale High’s above average GPA to suffer because of classrooms are overcrowded with underachievers.” Y/N couldn’t help but roll her eyes as her hands turned in to fists. Cheryl continued on, “So please do us all a favor and find some other school to debase with your hardscrabble ways.”
Y/N took a step forward to go after Cheryl, but Toni beat her to it. “Why don’t you come over here and say that to my face?” Toni stepped around the table making her way to Cheryl. Y/N quickly followed in step with Toni ready to defend her friends.
Cheryl took a few steps to meet Toni’s approach. “Happily, Queen of the Buskers.” Y/N jumped in front of Toni making her almost face to face with Cheryl. “Think what you want Cheryl.” Y/N spat out. “But we are a family you shouldn’t mess with.”
Cheryl laughed sarcastically. “Oh please Orphan Girl.” Y/N’s face immediately went stone hard. She began to raise a hand to Cheryl, but it was caught by Archie who now stood in between the two girls. “Okay stop.” He said pulling Y/N’s hand down to their side still keeping hold of it.
“Can we all just put our Northside-Southside differences apart and start over? A new slate?” Archie pleaded/offered. The Bulldog Douche finally decided to speak up after hearing Archie’s plead. “You don’t speak for the Bulldogs, Andrews. And need I remind you these greaser snakes showed up at your place trying to kick your ass all over a tag and a stupid girl.” He spat out girl as he glared at Y/N.
Sweet Pea had enough of the insults being thrown at Y/N. He pushed his way out from behind Toni and Jughead. “Happy to finish what was started.” Y/N turned around pulling her hand out from Archie’s and placed it on Sweet Pea’s chest pushing him back. Jughead and Fangs also grabbed Sweet Pea making sure he didn’t start a fight.
Prinicpal Weatherbee finally made his appearance. “Alright everyone that’s enough pomp and circumstance. Everyone let’s get to class. Now.”
Jughead looked at all the serpents before nodding telling everyone to follow directions. Y/N gave Sweet Pea’s chest one last push as they made eye contact. “Go.” She said with no emotion. Dropping her hand off his chest, she also dropped their gaze.
The serpents dispersed and Y/N remained still. All of that talk of not wanting to be classified with the serpents now out that window because she couldn’t keep her temper in check. She watched as Archie came back after a short chat with Cheryl. “You alright?”
Y/N’s eyes were shut trying to keep her tears at bay. She wouldn’t and couldn’t allow herself to cry. Not here. An arm wrapped around her shoulders and an expensive perfume smell filled her nose. “I’ll take care of this one Archiekins.”
Veronica pulled Y/N in to the closest bathroom. Y/n leaned up against the sink wrapping her arms around herself. As she took a few deep breaths, the Lodge girl studied her. Veronica couldn’t help but cringe at the thought of Y/N and Archie together but she knew it was a life time ago.
While Veronica was stuck in her thoughts, Y/N noticed the girl’s stares. “Hey you don’t have to comfort me. I can take care of myself.” Turning around she looked at herself in the mirror making sure she didn’t look anything but calm and collected. “If it makes you feel any better, I don’t have even the slightest feelings for Archie. It was just a short thing before I found Sweet Pea.”
Veronica looked at Y/N through the mirror nodding her head. “I know. But I also know that you were the first real girl he liked. And everyone always remembers their first who actually reciprocates.”
Y/N chuckled. “It’s water under the bridge Veronica. We are no more than a last resort for each other. But you two,” She turned around to actually face Veronica while pointing at her. “You two are nothing but endgame.”
An immediate smile spread on Veronica’s lips. “You should have heard him last night running his mouth about you. I was almost tempted to smother him with a pillow but then he told me that you were the one who stopped that stupid street fight.” Y/N shrugged her shoulders as she continued, “I felt like I owed you one so the redhead is still alive and breathing.”
Chuckles could be heard from both girls in the bathroom. But once the chuckles died down, Veronica’s face filled with nothing but curiosity. Y/N sighed loudly. “Which answer do you want to know first? Why I’m not in a serpent jacket or why I’m treating Sweet Pea like the plague?”
Veronica’s face fell slightly. “I don’t mean to pry.”
Y/N shrugged her shoulders again. “Both are very complicated.”
————
After a few too long classes, the lunch bell rang. Y/N stepped out of her history class and began walking down the hall. She didn’t know exactly where she was going to go or who she would even find to sit with, but all that changed when a hand grabbed her arm and that expensive perfume filled her nose again.
“I believe you and I are heading to the student lounge so you can introduce me to your friends.” Veronica too happily claimed. Y/N scoffed. “Didn’t we talk about how complicated things are this morning?”
Veronica lopped their arms and continued walking to the student lounge, Y/N assumed. “The way you defended them against the almighty Cheryl Blossom this morning shows one thing Y/N. And that is you still love and care about them. They might have hurt you but they are still there for you.”
Before Y/N could respond they turned in to the doorway of the student lounge. Y/N looked around spotting her four serpents friends. Veronica and Y/N stood in between the chairs Toni and Jughead were sitting at. Veronica turned to Toni. “I don’t think we’ve properly met. Veronica Lodge.” She stuck her hand out to Toni.
“Of the Park Avenue Lodges.” Jughead said sarcastically while sticking his pinky up. Y/N saw this and smacked the back of his head. “Be nice.”
She could hear Fangs and Sweet Pea snicker at Jughead getting put in his place. Toni ignored her friends and shook Veronica’s hand. “Toni Topaz.” Veronica made another comment about a purple colored gem stone and then another girl Josie introduced herself.
But Y/N’s eyes were stuck on watching Fangs and the sheriff’s son interact. Her eyebrows were raised and a slight smirk was on her face. Looking at her other serpent friends, they all shared the same expressions she did.
“You guys!” The interruption from Principal Weatherbee confused the group of kids as they turned to face him. “Yes you, come with me! Now!”
Veronica, Y/N, Kevin Keller and the four serpents all followed Principal Weatherbee in to the hallway that lead to the main entrance. The bulldog douche stood at the other end of the hallway with his arms crossed and a smirk on his face. Principal Weatherbee stepped over the Riverdale seal that was now tagged with a horribly drawn serpent.
“Which one of you defaced our school seal with this graffiti?” Before anyone got the chance to defend the serpents, Reggie spoke first. “This is what they do. They tag their turf.” Y/N couldn’t help but let out a sarcastic chuckle. “Their tags never look like a two-year old did it.”
“My god Reggie. Could you be anymore transparent?” Veronica said once again trying to stick up for the serpents.
“Effective immediately, no gang behavior of any kind will be tolerated in my school. As of this moment, no more serpent jackets.” Principal Weatherbee began dictating causing a loud response from the serpents behind Y/N. Weatherbee repeated himself. “No more serpent jackets! All tattoos are to be covered. Possession of any gang paraphernalia whatsoever will lead to immediate suspension.”
After Weatherbee’s new rules were spoken, Reggie stood making a smug look while staring each one of the serpents down. When his eyes met Y/N’s, he smirked. “I guess you shouldn’t have a problem with the new rules.” He spat trying to get a reaction out of her. And he almost did until Y/N realized just how right he was. She smirked back at him. “I guess I shouldn’t.” She said realizing just how that backfired on the boy standing in front of her and the group standing behind her.

The holidays had come and gone. Christmas trees that were once radiating with the scent of fresh pine had reverted to dry needles covering living room floors. Forgotten decorations remained in dark corners not to be found until February. The feeling of conclusion washed over Riverdale. Instead of being preoccupied with new shoes or shiny cars families were thankful to be breathing. The Black Hood met his end a biting December night much to the relief of your family. No longer would you be fearful for the lives of those closest to you. For the first time in weeks, you felt safe, like you were home again. Although that didn't stop the irking feeling of evil being hidden under your nose this whole time, walking the same fluorescent hallways of Riverdale High.
You pushed the nagging to the back of your mind as you sat by your window. Snowflakes fell to the pavement melting upon impact. Riverdale was colder than usual, salt covered every road and sidewalk to keep lives moving instead of cooped up for the final days of break. Your eyes drifted toward a familiar figure exiting the Cooper house, a grey hat acting as armor against the frost. Your mind started to wander back to another young serpent.
The last time you saw Sweet Pea was at FP's "retirement party." You had shown up in support along with Betty, Archie, and Veronica. While the other three decided to put on a show of their own you stayed back talking with Jughead or sitting with Toni at the bar. It wasn't the most comfortable night. You were obviously out of place in the musky bar, Veronica and Archie's rendition of "Bad World" didn't help. You left to find your brother midway through Betty's impromptu striptease. As you pushed your way passed oggling, drunk men, your face crashed into someone's chest. Your eyes trailed up to meet a familiar smirk.
“Easy there, watch where your going Princess,” Sweet Pea spoke over the slow music. You shook your head, embarrassed.
“Did you see where my brother went?” You attempted to look over his shoulder. He leaned back against the poster covered wall and motioned his head toward the exit. “Thanks,” you rushed. Sweet Pea nodded and crossed his arms moving his attention towards the stage.
The temperamental state of high school relationships made an appearance that night. You had tried to comfort Archie the same he did for you when you broke up with Reggie, but you knew he was still in love with Veronica. After Betty and Archie caught the black hood, they rekindled their respective relationships, at least to a friendly degree. Balance restored in Riverdale, or so it seemed.
“Students of Riverdale High, this is your principal speaking. E-mails have been sent to your parents, but effective immediately, Southside High School is shut down. Its students will be transferred to other schools in the district, including this one,” the second Weatherbee’s monotonous voice flooded through the intercom chaos ensued.
The usual hushed highschool chatter amplified to the thousandth degree. There was a tension flooding the hallways. It was to be expected. The northside and southside are seemingly two completely different cultures, cultures that in most people’s eyes should be kept separate. You never understood the hate toward the southside. Yes, it wasn't as pretty as the neighboring northside suburbia, but the people living there are the same as everyone else. It’s not like anyone made an effort to help “clean up” the southside anyway, so what gives them the right to judge the people for doing their best to navigate what northside politicians gave them? Your dad played a significant role in your acceptance of the southside.
Fred Andrews loved his town almost as much as his family and not just one half of it. He welcomed southsiders, namely a few Southside Serpents with open arms to his construction company. Fred never took an issue with the wrong side of town. Although he would never let you travel there alone, you had visited Jughead at the Twilight Drive-In countless times. It had an unmistakable charm; not even the most clean-cut northsider could refute. Now that it shut down the southside’s reputation went further downhill.
When Veronica asked you if you would help her greet the new Southside High students and try to make them feel comfortable walking into the Bulldogs den you jumped at the chance. She knew you would. While you were ecstatic for Jughead to return you couldn't help but hope he’d have his new rag-tag trio following behind him.
Things had been weird in the friendship department ever since you and Reggie split. Of course, Midge was still your rock, but Moose didn't have much of a reason to talk to you anymore. It was a weird feeling. Reverting to social status, you hadn't felt since the 8th grade. No more cheering for your friends at football games and treating them to a victory dinner at Pop's. No more rides to school from Reggie when it's raining. No more cozy couple's corner to sit at during lunch. It was the little things that caught you off guard. And you felt bad for Midge who was stuck in the middle of it all. You didn't want her to have to choose between sitting with Moose near Reggie or help you find a new domain to eat lunch.
A piece of you wished nothing ever changed, but the rest of you saw this as an opportunity to grow. What better way to grow than by befriending Jughead's southside pals? They seemed nice enough the few times you met them. And knowing the mentality of Riverdale High, they'll need a northside ally. Not even a minute into Veronica’s introduction to the new students, the cavalry rolled in.
"Listen up, Raggamuffins," Cheryl started. You bit back a laugh at her attempt to sound intimidating regarding your school's above average GPA. She continued spewing her fascist regime until Toni challenged her. Before anything more could come of it, Archie decided to try and diffuse the situation. You were proud of your brother; he was starting to relax back into the open-hearted Archie you knew. Your admiration for your brothers change of agenda was cut short.
"You don't speak for the Bulldogs, Andrews," Reggie butted in. "And need I remind you, these greaser-snakes showed up at your place trying to kick your ass," he said with a hand on Archie's shoulder glaring towards Sweet Pea and Fangs. You noticed Sweet Pea's face contort into venom as he pushed forward at Reggie. Before another rumble broke out, you spoke up.
"A fight that Archie started in the first place," you looked apologetically towards your brother for throwing him under the bus. Reggie looked back at you almost bewildered.
"You're really defending these thugs?" He waved his finger at the group. You took a seething breath pushing your way in front of Reggie and Archie.
"Thugs? Reggie?" You couldn't help but snort at the irony, "have you seemed to forgotten who Riverdale High's resident drug dealer is?" With each word, your tone got sharper. You hadn't breathed in Reggie’s direction since the break. You didn't have the patience. "Apologize. Now," you crossed your arms.
Reggie looked at you as if you had a third head. His mouth floundered searching for his next attack as he glanced between you and the motley crew. You noticed Sweet Pea stepped forward breaking free of Toni and Jughead's grasp.
"I'd listen to the princess if I were you," Sweet Pea glared at Reggie. The bulldog snarled in return ready to lunge. Before he got the chance, Veronica cut in, followed by the bellow of Weatherbee.
The two forces dissipated in opposite directions. You and Veronica lead the southsiders and fellow members of the welcoming committee to the student lounge where you could finish handing out schedules and assigning tour guides in peace. Veronica made it halfway through the list.
"Who would care to show Sweet Pea around fair Riverdale?" She lifted her eyes above her reading glasses at the clump of clean-cut teens. Whispers tangled throughout the group as they stared at the brooding boy. Shaking your head at their shallowness, you stepped forward.
"I'd love to," you smiled at the surprised serpent. "C'mon Sweet Pea," you said walking out of the safety of the lounge. The two of you walked in silence as you showed him to his first-period and second-period classes. It wasn't necessarily uncomfortable. Neither of you knew what to say. You weren't exactly friends, but not strangers. While walking, you glanced up towards the clock. Six minutes before the bell inevitably rang you stopped short of Sweet Pea's giant steps. He mirrored your sudden halt.
"Um, the bells gonna ring soon, do you maybe want to pick this up during lunch?" You offered. Sweet Pea retuned a hint of a smile and agreed, taking a last look at the room numbers on his schedule before folding it and putting it in his jacket pocket. "Cool, I'll meet you back in the student lounge," stepping back you parted ways.
You tapped your pencil between your fingers on your musty textbook. History seemed especially historical today. Your teacher droned on, dust practically collecting on every word she said. All you could think about was finishing touring Sweet Pea. You were excited to see new faces around Riverdale High. Even now you looked toward your left and spotted washed out pink hair. Finally, the bell snapped you out of your gaze, and you swiped your supplies back in your bag.
You caught up with Toni in the hall as you both headed to the lounge. She plopped down in the chair next to Fangs who was already talking to Kevin by the time you arrived. Not too long after Sweet Pea took a seat next to Kevin while Jughead took his place in the center chair. Josie and Veronica approached the gaggle of teens to made small talk and introductions. Before any meaningful conversation commenced Weatherbee barged in.
“You guys!” He commanded while pointing. We all shared glances of confusion. “Yes, you, come with me.” He promptly exited the doorway. Shrugging, we followed him to the middle of the hallway where a previously sparkling Bulldogs logo remained on the floor. As we looked closer, a green squiggle revealed itself to be a poorly drawn Serpent, tragically mimicking the same one on Jughead’s jacket. “Now! Which one of you defaced our school seal with this graffiti?” He asked pointed at the leather-clad teens.
“This is what they do, principal Weatherbee,” started Reggie in a matter of fact tone. “They tag their turf,” he smirked eyeing the tallest serpent.
That smarmy son of a bitch. “God Reggie, could you be any more transparent?” Veronica took the words right out of your mouth. Weatherbee decided on banning all serpent paraphernalia, including tattoos. At this moment you thought Sweet Pea might be regretting the placement of his own. When everyone retreated back into the lounge, you stood your ground staring at Reggie. Weatherbee and the spectators had continued about their business.
"What the hell Reggie," you were the first to say something.
"I don't know what you mean Y/N," he replied feigning innocence.
"There's only one person in this school with a car fast enough to get to the store and back with still enough time for an amateur art project during his free period," you deducted. "What's your problem with them?"
"They don't belong here," he tried to reason, "they're bad news."
"You don't know a thing about them, Reggie!" Your arms raised up in exasperation. He continued going off on his wrong side of the tracks rant. Most of it muddled through one ear and out the other as you squeezed your eyes shut pinching the bridge of your nose. Then you heard it.
"Babe, c'mon you can't-" Reggie attempted, but you cut him off.
"You don't get to call me that," your voice sounded hollow, "you're, not my boyfriend anymore Reggie. You made that choice yourself."
He didn't get a say in what you chose to do or who you chose to associate with. Without bothering to hear his reply you backed away from him. The person in front of you wasn't the bright-eyed boy you fell for. He was infected with the pain of loss and neglect which contorted into a hatred for people who threated the one slice of normalcy he had left. You wouldn't let him pass that virus to you. As you stepped through the doorway of the student lounge, you didn't notice a certain Serpent eyed the confrontation through the wall of windows. The leftover scowl on your face forced itself into a mildly pleasant smile. You walked up to Sweet Pea determined to finish his tour. He swiftly dug the tattered schedule from his pocket and followed you through the halls.
"We have math together 4th period," you said stopping by the door to the dreaded classroom. "There's an empty seat by me after some kid transferred to Seaside. You can sit there if you want? Um, I mean you don't have to it's just an option if you-" you rambled worried you were being to forward.
"Thanks," he stopped you gently.
You nodded curtly and continued with the tour. Your hands clasped in front of you twiddling with your fingers. You were nearly finished. After showing him the gym, all you had left was the library. You took your phone out of your pocket smiling triumphantly, still 10 minutes to spare before the end of lunch. Looking up to your side you noticed Sweet Pea was staring at you, he was biting the inside of his cheek.
"Do you have a question about anything," you asked suspiciously. It took him a few moments before he concluded what he was going to say.
"What was with you and that Bulldog earlier?" he questioned innocently.
"What? Reggie? He's just an idiot," you tried to brush it off. Sweet Pea's brows furrowed, quirking his head to the side.
"Really? It looked kinda intense?" He must have seen you clenching your jaw as he quickly added, "sorry, uh, its none of my business." His hand offered to surrender.
"It's fine," you smiled reassuringly. "Let's just finish this tour shall we?"
He nodded brightly. You were surprised the way he marveled at the library. His eyes noticeably fixated on the few rows of computers. After that grand finale, the two of you said your goodbyes as you headed towards your respective third periods. Your mind started to wander. Why did he seem so interested in you and Reggie? Was he trying to make small talk? Or perhaps he was taking intel on the enemy? Whatever his motives were the bell disrupted you from sleuthing any further.
Even the smell of the math class made you sick. The second you stepped foot in that room you were bombarded with the scent of worn out erasers, used up pencils, and tears. All trying to be masked by your teacher's obnoxiously citrusy chalkboard cleaner. You took a seat in your familiar spot second row from the back. You took out your textbook and notebooks, hissing as they slipped from your hands. Frazzled you tilted your head back to the front of the room. Sweet Pea stood next to Mr. Chase, holding back a smirk. He had obviously seen your blunder. Sweet Pea nodded at whatever Mr. Chase told him, taking a textbook from his hand and headed towards you.
"So which one's the empty seat you were talking about?" He said pointing to the desks either side of you.
"Um, this one," you motioned to the desk on your right, adjacent the window. The boy took his seat, his long legs miraculously fitting under the table. Throughout math you held your head in your hand, struggling to keep up with the chicken scratch written on the board. Accepting defeat, your attention turned to Sweet Pea. His face was scrunched in concentration. His tongue peeked out from his lips as he clenched his hand around his pencil frantically writing away. You were amazed at how the pencil hadn't snapped due to the white on his knuckles. The dog tags around Sweet Pea's neck glinted in the sunlight that flooded through the cracks of the drawn blinds.
You didn't understand how Reggie could see him as evil or vile. He had been polite and kind to you without incentive that night at Pop's and carried that reputation next to you. Maybe now you had a reason to look forward to math class.

Riverdale 3.22 Thoughts *Spoilers*
- Ew if I ever hear Penelope call Toni Antoinette again…
- Oh wow, who would have thought Penelope would drug Toni with the tea she gave her… I had no idea…
- NOT! FP! CONFIDING! IN! HIS! 16-17! YEAR! OLD! SON! ABOUT! A! CASE! Seriously, he should NOT be doing that?? In Teen Wolf I wanted Sheriff Stilinski to include his son in the investigations but that was because Stiles was in with the supernatural, and therefore knew more than he did and it would be relevant but FP’s dumbass son only comes up with his own opinions and conspiracies… I want to believe in Sheriff!FP because he’ll have a job and bring justice to the South Side since they’ve been mistreated by the police, but he just… he needs to learn the difference between being a friend/worker and a father with Jughead
- NO ONE TOLD ME THAT VERONICA AND JUGHEAD SIT NEXT TO EACH OTHER IN THE LAST EPISODE??!?!?!?!?!
- How did they wipe off the sharpie from Betty’s head and leave no trace lmao
- Betty in that dress tho,,, she looks really good. And Veronica looks so fucking beautiful!!!! That’s my fuckin baby!!!!
- There’s no way Hal would actually listen to Penelope without some smart ass quip but I’ll let it go since this show isn’t serious lol
- You see, this kind of dinner party reveal was actually cool and kinda interesting and I like the vibe but of course when someone likes something in Riverdale the writers immediately have to destroy it for some reason.
- Penelope acts like nobody else has lives unless it involves her. Also she’s a bitch and hated everyone even if they did try to consolidate her after Jason’s death, did she really think people were going to shower her with casseroles and flowers and thoughts and prayers???
- “Exterminating it’s sinners” Moose and Midge literally did nothing to her, the only possible “sin” Midge did was take drugs and Moose cheated on her with Kevin… literally I wish this plot was thought out a hell of a lot more.
- Not Penelope thinking Veronica and Archie are dark hearted… Also not her being all high and mighty when she abuses her fucking child. Bitch sit the fuck down. Penelope saying that everyone would feel her pain of losing a child when it was her own husband who fucking killed him……………..??? That has jack shit to do with the town hun
- EW THE WAY FANGS SPOKE WAS SO WEIRD, LIKE A ROBOT. I hate what they’ve done to my boy :(((
- That was a weird scene with Cheryl but anyways she’s a queen so I’m letting it go
- First of all, LEAVE ARCHIE ALONE OH MY FUCKING GOD HE’S BEEN THROUGH ENOUGH. Second of all, does Penelope just own a fucking bear or something? Like, it could have easily run away or something and ruined her entire plan… also the fact that it roared at the perfect time… hahahaha wow
- OH IT’S NOTO EVEN A REAL BEAR LMAO WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK IS THIS??????? Couldn’t they just leave? Like, I know Penelope said that if they tried they would be killed or whatever the fuck but like none of her minions are there… and it would be much too late for her to find him.
- There’s no way Penelope is letting any of them live at the end of this, because then they’ll come back too Riverdale and tell everyone what she did.
- Varchie is cute but Barchie and Jeronica reign superior, and Reggie was treated so awfully for NO reason. Also why are they wasting time for this?
- So… Nana Rose knows what’s going on but doesn’t call the police???????????????????????? This fucking show…
- LMAO JUGHEAD HAS TO FIGHT CHIC???????????
So I got the flu and I am so not going to write my thoughts while watching I just need to sit here and sip on water and Gatorade and hope it stays in my stomach so anyways I’m ending this here. Hope you enjoyed my thoughts so far lol
