Vive L’Amy!⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ After a scrumptious dinner hosted by the one-and-only @alexhitz with fab table mates, @katbbryan and @vanessanoelstyle at Sette Mezzo, @amyfinecollinsibdl and I realized we had not documented the occasion. ⁣ ⁣ As we walked up Lexington, I stopped stranger-but-not-strange, @willburgat. Will was eating a sandwich on the corner following a Bastille Day celebration. I politely asked Will to take our photo. Checkout this Simple 3 Move Routine from @achievefitnessboston for Deeper Squats! What’s up, y’all! Here’s a quick 3 move warm-up you can do before your next leg day to improve your squat depth and overall mobility! 1️⃣Wide Stance Rocking On Forearms: 15 reps. For this one, really think about arching your chest up and keeping your head looking straight forward. This helps to set your back alignment and focuses the movement on your hips. 2️⃣Ankle Mobilizations: 12 each side. These are a bit tricky and you may need to hold onto something for support but all you’re really trying to do is get your knees further over your toes. Ankle mobility is a big player in terms of achieving squat depth and this (or the ankle mobility drill of your choice) can really help! 3️⃣Squat Prying: 4 reps of 5-10 second holds. Keep your chest up tall on these, and do your best to sink lower and lower as you shift from side to side. If you’re having trouble with balance, just prop your heels up on a book or a couple of 5lb plates and try it out! Of course, this is a general routine and serves as a solid starting point. This is not the “best” or “ultimate” routine ever - just 3 moves we find that we go to again and again for achieving better squats :) We hope this post helped you out. Finally made it to one of @jamisonbolt’s workouts last week! It has been a whirlwind of amazing happenings the past few days and i didn’t have time to share this epic video done by @n.an.ce! . Jamison, the community you’ve already created in just under 9 months of living in LA is unbelievable. I’m born and raised here and haven’t created a solid group like this in 27 years! You da real MVP. . To everyone at that workout, holy HELL did we sweat our asses off. I have never sweat that much before, (I usually just overheat) and even though sweat was actually dripping off of me, it wasn’t that bad because we were all in it together. That’s the power of community. Especially in person with real human connection. And as Jamison says, we all get further together! . My program, Train Like A Gymnast, may be primarily virtual, but we’re all a team in it together. And that’s why hosting events like our AMAZINGLY PERFECT full day immersive workshop yesterday (videos to come) is another important component to really create a team of like-minded, strong individuals who want to progressively become better. 📌 INCLINE DB BICEPS CURL By @Bachperformance📌 -
👉Do you want to build a bigger biceps peak? - The incline DB biceps curl is one of the best exercises to hit the long-head of your biceps.
A steady dose of these bad-boys and you’ll be flexin’ like Big Poppa’ Pump Scott Steiner.💪🏼 - 👉The incline curl is best used to create metabolic stress (the pump) to build your biceps. Keep them light and go by feel, not by picking the heaviest weight. -
1️⃣ Set a bench at a 30-60 degree incline. 2️⃣Grab light dumbbells, a weight you could curl for 15-20 reps.
3️⃣ Keep your elbows behind your torso. This stretch provides more tension and a greater muscle building stimulus.
4️⃣ Curl up slowly, flexing hard during the motion. Lower until control for 3-4 seconds. Repeat for 3-4 sets of 10-12 reps 2x per week.
5️⃣ FOLLOW #Bachbuilt for exercise demos. -
-A few caveats: One of the toughest parts of this exercise is keeping the head back. If you have beat-up shoulders, a higher incline is better.
Don’t load these heavy: keep it light and chase the pump. -
