I would advocate for increased penalties on sexual crimes. The president can't change laws alone, but they have a large impact on what people focus on, and enough focus almost guarantees change.

I did some research into this and it's partially true.
Elon reposted a journalist's investigation of Catherine McConnell, who reported that she worked in the Department of Education. It does not have tax info, but it has a OGE form 278e, which is used for public visibility of hired officials. Everything was collected legally on the journalist's side as far as I can tell.
What does matter is that Elon reposted directly after the judge's decision to unfreeze federal grants. He knew what he was doing, and while he didn't research it himself, he posted it where millions more could see the info compared to the journalist's X (formally Twitter) account.
So, in all likelihood, Elon did not get this info from his illegally obtained tax information. He still has the information, but in this case he did not use it. He's still a jerk for aiding in doxxing someone for his own followers to harass in revenge.
I don't like Elon, and I'd go as far to say I hate him. But make sure you know all sides of the story, because if he actually got that info from his questionably obtained tax records, we would have more ammunition against him. We don't need to make up or exaggerate his crimes, he's already got some. Let's dig those up instead.

Not political this time. Just saying, that even if were the first one public about it, I wouldn't be the first president to read Ao3.

I would give more power to the states, but standardize education. The states know themselves best but education should be equal and the same no matter where they go.
Want me to be serious?
Remember CommonCore that went around during the 2010s as they attempted to standardize education in the USA? Instead of standardizing methods, standardize targets. 5 times 5 is still 25 regardless of using the box method, lattice method, or traditional long multiplication. Everything else with CommonCore worked except math, which standardized both methods and goals. Math, despite always being the same, should not force one method of thought. Require multiple methods to be taught, and allow children to figure out what works for them. Add tutors to schools instead of forcing overworked teachers to accommodate every student. Companies such as Edmentum, Clever, and McGraw Hill would be charged a fine each year if they wanted to promote whatever textbook they created for the school system, from which those fines would pay tutors. This would not be enough money to pay every tutor a living wage, but it would help compensate the costs.
Outside of president influence, the best practices is always the one that shows you uses for what you are taught. The moment I figured out algebra could be used to calculate probability, I consumed every book about the subject to predict percent chance and probability. Teachers, show your kids what they can use math for. Show them where science can be useful. Show them where history is necessary to understand the current world. Give them access to books beyond their age range if they ask for more. Never scold a child for learning. Tell them why what they are learning is important, and if need be, why they need to wait until they can learn something else.

Hey guys, you know what I just realized? We can actually get rid of Trump again. This time with actual results. He's got 3 and a half years left in his term, let's get rid of him.
Call your representatives, tell them you want Donald Trump impeached on crimes related to abuse of power. There's two options- we're ignored, or we're listened to. After that, we can learn how far gone our government is in terms of Trump owning congress.
If impeachment is brought up, Congress must go over the facts and 'convict' the impeachee in a 2/3s majority vote. Last time (the second time) Donald Trump was impeached, Senate brought forth the charges, but only the House of Representatives voted on impeachment. Senate failed to reach the 2/3s majority vote to remove Trump, and the charges were dismissed. In August 2023, Trump was twice indicted for the conduct at issue in his impeachment, once in Georgiaand the other federally. The federal charges were dismissed in November 2024 due to the Department of Justice's policy of not prosecuting sitting presidents, subsequent to Trump's re-election that month. The Georgia one went through, with Trump and 13 other conspirators being found guilty of charges of forgery, impersonation (of a public officer), RICO violations (the state's anti-rackettering law), and perjury. Trump specifically was found guilty of RICO violations, false statements, impersonation of a public officer, and forgery. It doesn't seem like he was jailed or fined for these offenses.
I don't like what happened last time. Too many things were fishy and not properly done (the Republicans of Senate refused to bring forth papers for evidence, likely contributing to Trump being later acquitted), and as such, I would like to see it happen again. There have only been four impeachments of Presidents, successful or not, and at the current moment, Trump has half of them. I'm kind of curious if the third times the charm.

I vote we all stand in a circle around Donald Trump. Don't say anything, do anything. Just stand in a wall of people several people deep. Imagine the image, of a man who believes himself a god, humbled by the people. Should he dare touch us for doing nothing but standing, it will be more fuel to the fire of his guilt.
Except- he's been doing this the whole time. He's been pushing down innocents since the moment he had power, money, or fame.
Let's not be blind to the slights passed on the people. Not the "immigrants", the "gays", whatever you justify lines between us a society. If one person is knocked down, you don't look and say, "oh it was a girl, surely they won't push a guy", you look the assaulter in the fucking eyes and push back. Because if they did it to one human, they can and will do it to another.

I would again, like to repeat that the Pentagon Press Corps replaced Politico and three other somewhat decent, accurate reporting new sources with HuffPost and three other somewhat poor, inaccurate reporting news sources. It went from somewhat left leaning sources to a scattering of other news sources, outright left or right groups. The most extreme of the old group (New York Times, left lean) is far, far lower than the least extreme of the second group (New York Post, right lean).
Worst part? At least two of these are know for publishing conspiracy theories (One America News and Breitbart News). Both are far-right and One America is pro-Trump. The last is a freaking tabloid (New York Post). The final one is owned by BuzzFead (HuffPost), which no offense, BuzzFead, you are not my go-to source for anything but puppy interviews with celebrities.
The time in which America is going through its most aggressive changes is the time in which the press and news sources that we normally trust are removed from primary sources. Take that as you will.
If you want a full explanation, I complied my sources in the pinned post on my page, as well as my thought process. I think this is something that has not been reported on enough, and as such, I have taken it upon myself to research it. Do what you will with this information, but please, know that it is happening, and our information sources are being manipulated at this moment by the current presidential cabinet.

On January 31st, President Trump ordered NPR news, NBC News, the New York Times, and Politico to vacate their Pentagon offices. This is part of a new rotation plan for media sources, which will switch every year. The new media companies will move in by February 14th. Membership of the Pentagon Press Corps does not seemed to be impacted, only physical access to offices.
The purpose of there even being media offices in the Pentagon goes back to a decision in 1982, specifically because of the tension of US-involved conflicts. News companies originally were contracted by a singular member of the company being assigned to focus on the Pentagon's affairs, usually these people were former military or at least well-versed in political affairs. With the historical problems of wire transfers being expensive and the difficulties of having only one source, the Pentagon Press Corps served to have multiple sources should specific concerns come up. An example could be a bigger media company recieveling news from a paid infomant over wire transfer that the Department of Defense plans on withdrawing from X country. In the past, this would be endlessly repeated in an echo chamber as ground breaking news without any ability to actually double check or even corroborate. The best document I could find about the history of the Pentagon Press Corps was document ADA135525, which describes the system and its history, as well as ways to smooth the entire process. It does not explain its modern purpose, but gives perspective as to how it arose.
Based on AllSides' wonderfully collected data, relative leanings for each of these outlets goes as follows- Politico is the most central bias media source, with -1.20 (0 being central), NBC News having a left leaning of -1.80, NPR News leaning left just slightly more with -2.00, and New York Times being the most left group, with a score of -2.20. All of these estimates have medium confidence, except New York Times, which has high confidence. Please note that the opinion articles for both NPR and New York Times has been ignored, as it is not relevant to the media reporters within the Pentagon, these are reporters skilled in interpreting military information and financial details, usually focusing on giving the direct data and technical explanation to other teams in the company.
These four media companies are being replaced with One America News Network, The New York Post, Breitbart News, and HuffPost. The ratings of these media companies are as follows- One America News with 3.10, leaning right, with 0 being central, the New York Post with 2.93, Breitbart News with a 6.00, and HuffPost with a -4.30, the only left leaning or left group. HuffPost has a high confidence rating, with Breitbart has a low confidence rating, and the other two have medium confidence rating. Please note the distinction between the New York Times and New York Post. Also, mildly amusing, HuffPost is owned by BuzzFeed.
Regardless of political leaning, all four of the removed groups have a more central view on average than the four proposed News groups. The highest leaning media company of the first group (-2.20, New York Times) is still lower than the most central media company of the second group (2.93, New York Post).
Take everything here with a grain of salt, and research on your own, as you should do with everything. I can't say what I would do as president, because I do not know what the true intentions behind this Press Corps are, and whether or not they are helpful in the modern age. There is much I do not understand, and I defer to the expert's knowledge of the subject. I, however, would watch this carefully, as any favoring from the government is suspicious at best.
I do not like the fact I learned of the Pentagon Press Corp was because they were changing it. I do not like that there was no knowledge of this system beforehand, at least to my perspective. But I will try and understand to the best of my knowledge, and watch it closely. Should it do something to warrant a closer look, I will do so.
