midoriya -> the incredibles: he likes any disney/pixar movie but obviously, the one about heroes is his absolute favorite. you can bet that he ran to get tickets for you and him to see the second one when it finally came out.

bakugo -> kitchen nightmares: he loves gordon ramsay because he’s usually justified whenever he’s yelling at people and calling them rude names. you like to tease that it’s like watching him while he cooks or watches others cook. he claims that he could run a restaurant that chef ramsay would praise as the best. 

todoroki -> spirited away: he enjoys a lot of the studio ghibli films but this one will always have a special place in his heart. he grew up watching it and reminds him of a happier time spent with his family. however, its sentiment becomes greater whenever he can watch it with you. 

kirishima -> the twilight saga: he doesn’t like to get caught up in the hype but he was totally team jacob after he watched new moon with you. that is until you watched eclipse and he thought it was “so not manly” when jacob kisses bella by surprise. it’s safe to say he’s very team edward by breaking dawn. 

kaminari -> the bachelor: you mostly just like this show for the irony in that the bachelor is usually just some guy that many girls are competing over. he watches mainly for the ladies, which he’s not afraid to admit. however, if he were the bachelor, you’d get all his roses. 

uraraka -> miss congeniality: she loves the tough and no-nonsense attitude of the female lead as well as some really good laughs in it. she especially likes the self-defense scene and actually takes note of it.  

ashido -> legally blonde: look, there’s a lot of pink in this movie and she’s into it. also the fact that elle woods is a feminist icon and mina often uses the iconic line, “what? like it’s hard?” to commemorate her.

jiro -> freaky friday: everything about this movie is iconic to her: the music, the style, the early 2000′s vibes. one time you asked her what she would do if you two switched places and she replied that no one would notice a thing because her impression of you is spot on. 

yaoyorozu -> love it or list it: she loves some hgtv on a do-nothing sunday but this show, in particular, has both looking at pretty houses or building a better house. it’s also like research for her in trying to find useful things that she could try to make with her quirk. 

shinso -> cabin in the woods: he is definitely the type to make fun of most scary movies but the fact that this one does it for him makes it just pure gold. however, its notoriety with him falters just a bit as he prefers that you hold onto him a little more like you do when you watch other horror movies together. 

amajiki -> zootopia: he likes cute things, which mostly includes you and animals. not only is it a fun and empowering movie, but he also loves that the main character is a rabbit when he’s watching it with his favorite bunny.

hado -> harry potter: she’s a nerd at heart and a long-time fan. she’s pretty sure that she’s a ravenclaw and she’d be the seeker of the quidditch team. sometimes she talks about how fun it would be if you met at hogwarts instead of ua but at the end of the day, she likes the uniqueness of everything about you and your relationship.

utsushimi -> mean girls: like jiro, she’s into the 2000′s high school movie vibes. she knows all the famous quotes from this movie but she’s determined to come up with a better trend than “so fetch.” 

fuyumi -> bad teacher: while she is a responsible and level-headed person, she likes to have a laugh or two with you and an irreverent movie like this one. it makes it especially ironic since she is in the education industry.  

dabi -> any true crime documentary: it’s pretty on-brand of him to eat up true, sometimes unsolved stories of murder and serial killers. he finds it interesting but he’s also lowkey taking mental notes while watching. in another life, he thinks he’d be someone who would want to try to solve mysteries like them.

Have you ever watched a movie in class/school that made you cry? Yes. I took this adulthood and aging psychology class and I forget what it was exactly the documentary we had to watch was about, but I remember being on the verge of tears because it reminded me of my grandpa who passed away.

Best movie soundtrack ever: I’ve always vouched for The Twilight Saga’s soundtracks because their OSTs genuinely did pop the fuck off; but out of the five movies, my favorite would probably be New Moon’s.

What was your favorite Disney movie as a kid? It’s always been Toy Story, and it’s never changed even after watching my fair share of Disney movies through the years.

Have you seen it since? Many times. I try to do at least one rewatch every year.

If I looked through your phone right now, what would I find? A ridiculous amount of photos of V on my camera roll, my different work chats, and conversations between myself and Angela that would probably be tagged as NSFW because we’re comfortable around each other like that, lol.

What time did you wake up today? Like 6:15. I’ve started automatically waking up at 6 AM a week ago for no reason, regardless of how late I sleep the night before. Which is fine, I guess, since I’ve developed a knack of starting work by around 8 anyway; the 2-hour gap is the perfect time to have time for myself before another shift.

Why's the summer going by so fast? It’s not summer yet, but I will agree that time seems to be flying by in general. I’m well aware it’s because I do nothing but work all week, but I actually find the monotony quite relaxing for now so I’m not complaining.

What'll you be doing this 4th of July? That issssss a Sunday, so idk. Probably relaxing at home – or if quarantine protocols have loosened by then I will probably back in a coffee shop.

So naturally this is the best time for me to type up headcanons for Hispanic Gwen from Camp Camp

Let’s go

Her full name is Guinevere Garcia Santos and she is the dreaded middle child of the family: two older siblings, a brother and a sister (Arturo Jr and Genesis) and two younger sisters, twins (Araceli and Elsa)

Despite growing up with mostly girls, the real chismoso of the family is Arturo Jr. If you wanted dirt on any of the Santos sisters, he was the guy to go to.

Arturo Jr. was named after their father, but Gwen was named after their mother

“Hey mom, how come you named me Guinevere and not Gen?”

*long, exasperated sigh*

“When you’re Tia and I were kids she thought it would be funny if we put crickets in one of the confessionals at church. I told her we would be caught, but she bet that we wouldn’t. When we weren’t I asked what she wanted. Your Tia just smiled and said that she would let me know when she came up with it. Ten years later, when I was pregnant with your sister, she came bursting through the door and proclaimed that the baby would be named after her.”

“So... I was named after you because you lost a bet?”

“Hija de tu puta Madre, I didn’t think she would win!”

Her mother has always gone by Gigi and gave Gwen her current nickname the moment she was born to avoid confusion. Arturo Sr. did not have this foresight and as a result everyone calls Arturo, “Junior”.

Born and raised in a small town next to Sleepy Peaks. (Considering the fact that Gwen went to college in Sleepy Peaks, this might actually be canon. Why the hell else would she go to Sleepy Peaks Community College?)

While her parents aren’t all that successful, Gwen’s siblings are. Araceli is a lawyer. Junior is a fucking governor. Even the twins, who are about to graduate high school, have done more than Gwen. (They run one of those animated storytelling YouTube channel for Christ's sake. How the hell did they have time to teach themselves animation?!)

She has a stash of Abuelita's hot chocolate hidden in her cabin. The fact that none of the campers have found it yet is one of the few victories Gwen has at Camp Campbell

She would also not admit at gunpoint where the stash of Abuelita is. She would deny she even has it. The chocolate dies with her. 

Gwen will also make the drive all the way back to her hometown just to get some Pan Dulce on her days off. 

Gwen is bilingual - English and Spanish - FIGHT ME

That being said, she chooses to swear in English out in public more than anything else. She wants people to know when she’s pissed at them.

Really the only time she’ll swear in Spanish is when she knows that they’ll understand (like with her siblings) or if it’s under her breath (most likely directed at one of her bosses when they’re out of earshot)

That being said, Gwen has accidently switched from English to Spanish midsentence from time to time. She didn’t really make a conscious effort to stop until she started to work at Camp Campbell and accidently spoke Spanish in front of David

His face lit up like the 4th of July when he heard her speak it

“GWEN! YOU SPEAK MEX-”

Which resulted in one of the three “You’re dreaming!” incidents that would happen with her coworker.

She didn’t if she should be relieved or concerned at how easily David fell for such an obvious lie

Gwen once accidently swore in front of her mother one time in Spanish while talking to the twins about something

All three of them froze in fear as they watched out of the corner of their eye as Mrs. Santos - a tall, fairly bony woman whose pretty strong after years of chasing and carrying 5 brats around - take off la chancla

Gwen, 23, at the time, still living at home, watches her life flash before her eyes as the Flip Flop of Doom comes flying towards her. Time slows down. Ari and Ellie duck for cover. Dramatic Opera music plays in the theater of her mind.

This is it. This is how I die. 

The chancla hits her dead center in the face. Gwen actually falls onto the floor from the sheer force of it.

The next morning Gwen announces that she found an apartment out in the city and is moving out the following week

She’s read the entire Twilight Saga and loved the absolute hell out of it. 

Gwen actually discovered that she was bisexual because of the Twilight series. (Thank you, Kristen Stewart)

During Gwen’s first week at Camp Campbell, QM asked her to get out the salsa for tonight's dinner (nachos, basically) She was gone for about 10 minutes before he went to go see what was taking her so long

He found her on the floor surrounded by like five, opened plastic tubs of store bought butter - frantically searching around in the back of fridge shouting, “where the fuck is it?!”

Whenever there was a camper's birthday, David would always bake a cake for them. Gwen barely caught herself from slamming their faces into the cake during the first year at Camp

She has a rock collection that she started when she was a kid. Genesis snuck her back a cool volcanic rock from Sleepy Peak Peak during a field trip.

Gwen still has it, along with a few dozen other cool rocks, lying on her bookcase back in her apartment

I have more, but it’s 1am and I still have a test tomorrow (this morning, really)

(also shoutout to @forestwater87 because I sort of cheated and used part of their hc for Gwen’s last name. They headcanon her as Latina, but the name is pretty popular within the fandom and it felt kinda weird to just give her my headcanon name. The solution? Make my hc Gwen’s middle name instead (super creative, I know))
