The grey does more than disfigure people
Okay, so you know how so many of the undercity people have unnaturally colored hair? Especially those in Jinx/Vi/Ekko's generation?
perhaps, due to their parent's possible exposure to the grey during pregnancy (we see in vander's flashback that both felicia and connel were miners), this altered their genes and made their pigmentation different.
We know that neither Jinx nor Violet dye their hair because when they let themselves go and let their hair grow, the new growths maintain that same color (the only exception is pitfighter Vi, but we know she died her hair because the whole thing is black now in a span of maybe months. The next time we see her, only the tips are red again, implying she washed that part of her hair dye out).
If this theory were true, it would add alot of depth to the class themes and Caitlyn's unleashing of the grey on the undercity.
This theory would also emphasize how bad the class divide between Zaun and Piltover has gotten over the years. With the grey becoming more prominent, those conceived and born in the later generations (like after Viktor and Sky who are about 10 years older than Jinx, Ekko, and Vi) would be more effected prenatally.
One exception to this would be Isha, but the narrative implies that she wasn't even Zaunite because her theme song is in a foreign language and we never hear her speak. Also possibly ekko, with his black hair roots we see in season 1 with Benzo.
