Something depressing about that last thing I wrote between James and Pierre is that James and Arcade basically promised each other they'd settle down together after the shit with the NCR and the Legion was done with. But Arcade got scared when it came to that because he was afraid of James putting himself in danger again for their sake, since he let James talk him into staying back and helping people while James himself fought at the battle

I feel like if Arcade would've known they would've been fathers that he wouldn't basically shoo James away and he'd realize he still has to work on his doubts and fears despite the other progress he had made, like learning how to openly communicate with each other outside of intimate moments. But alas...

#i actually have a little thing written where they have a scare where they might have a kid #and james is ofc relieved not to be carrying during that time but. arcade feels weirdly disappointed that the result is negative #bc it makes him do some introspection and realize how much he craves just. settling down and forming his own normal life #instead of constantly running like hes done since he can remember #but old habits die hard and he ran from his feelings in the end and pushed james away. depressing #i think to make up for this shit i gotta develop their post New Vegas romance more #when theyre both older and raising Elsie together <3 #vinny rambles #james (oc)
