hello! yes latin gcse anon here. it IS tacitus’ annals and it’s very fun and mysterious. some parts are omitted but theres a whole section with spells and curses. i think the other option for prose is currently from de bello gallico?

we also do some aeneid and pliny but our aeneid section is much earlier ( some parts w priam and pyrrhus but mostly just aeneas describing himself fleeing from troy )

oh if the other option was caesar then you are WINNING! i loved reading tacitus but do wish we'd had smth as fun as Spells And Curses like we got the murder of agrippa postumus ig but so much of the part of annals 1 we read was like. top 10 lex villia annalis fails.

also aeneid book 2! when the urbs antiqua ruit...... another win. there are ghosts
