Hate Me, Love Me: Angels Story-nov
Tumblr media
As always 18+. TW:DV, character death
Summary: You two were a match made in heaven. Lovers from the moment you two locked eyes even though your parents had already chosen for you.....or so you thought. When EZ is released from prison a family secret comes to light. You were always to wed a Reyes ....it just wasn't suppose to be Angel. Can you convince him your love is still true and defy your parents wishes? Will EZ let you two be?
Word Count 2k+
Tumblr media
“We should have a baby” murmured Angel as he pulled you closer to him voice heavy with sleep still as he grinded against you making heat pool in your lower abdomen as your arousal dripped onto your thighs. “Morning to you as well” you giggled as your hand travelled down his bare chest and onto his thigh making his breath hitch. “and to him” you added as your hand gently stroked his hard cock. Your thumbnail carefully dragging the precum around his sensitive tip.
Angel groaned before quickly repositioning you under him his mouth sucking and nipping at your neck as his head notched at your opening. Instinctively you wrapped your legs around his waist, letting him slide into your slick heat easily. “Fuck” moaned Angel into your neck as you fluttered and clamped down around him. “So wet and tight already mi amor” he grunted as he slowly thrusted in and out of you making you moan and whimper.
A knock at the bathroom door had your mind ripping from that last morning you and Angel had been together. That day your lives had changed forever. Another knock had you scooping all the tests on the counter into the trashcan as you flushed the toilet and washed your hands. Opening the door you came face to face with the monster you had been living with for the last almost two months.
“Everything okay?” inquired EZ as he leaned against the wall. His dark eyes roaming over you in a way that made you ill. You gave a meek nod before holding out you hand to him and letting him lead you back to the table where your parents were sitting. The four of you were having a dinner to celebrate something EZ and your father had done. You could care less honestly. The only reason you were here was because EZ no longer trusted anyone to watch you when he left you at home. His patience was dwindling and he had been very clear this morning that he would only allow his denial between your legs for another night. Tomorrow he would just take what was his seeing as how you were now his wife.
You were pushing your salad around when you noted Bottles walk up and whisper something to EZ. Your stomach flipped and churned as you felt his gaze fall on you. “Mi Amor. Why didn’t you tell me you suspected you were pregnant?”
You swallowed hard as you willed yourself to meet his gaze. “You have been so busy, I didn’t want to worry you “ you started before EZ waved you off.
“Never too busy for you. I’m sorry they were negative though.” He offered before turning to your father. “I’ll be sure to fix that though tonight” he joked as he elbowed your father playfully who laughed as well as your mother.
Your eyes darted to Bottles who gave a slight shake of his head before disappearing back into the shadows. Why had he lied? You thought to yourself as you looked back to EZ and your father both of who were still chuckling as they went back to their discussion. A red dot on EZ’s chest caught your eyes right as he looked at you. EZ frowned at your wide eyes right before looking down. The next thing you knew a boom filled the air as your mother screamed and EZ slumped forward as your father ducked under the table.
Two months prior
You felt like the ground was crumbling out from under you as your father spoke. The air thick with tension, hurt and anger. Tears burned at your lash line as each word hit you in the gut. This couldn't be true. Couldn't be happening. Fanatically you searched the faces of your parents, Felipe, Angel and Ez, who sat around your kitchen table.
Only Angel's face mirrored how you felt. His grip on your hand tightening painfully as your parents tore your fairytale apart. Felipe had the decency to look ashamed and remorseful but offered no defense for you and Angel against your ever stoic and emotionless parents. You swallowed hard and shivered at the dark smirk you got from EZ.
EZ couldn't help the smirk that played across his face. The monster lurking beneath the golden boy scout mask, taking a quick peek at his beautiful prize. If he was being honest he didn't want you....well not exactly. He wanted you so Angel couldn't have you anymore. He wasn't interested in love or any of that fluffy bullshit. He wanted something to sink into whenever he needed, something to own.
“You mother and I understand this is hard. To have been with one man for over ten years then told you are being given to another” stated your father trying to pretend to be remorseful but you saw through the façade like you always had. “EZ is Presidente and the only reason I am agreeing to this change is because of his higher status than his brother.” continued to explain your father before Angel interrupted.
“He hasn’t even prospected. He can’t be Presidente” snapped Angel his fist slamming onto the table as his anger started to get the better of him. Ignoring his fathers quiet plea of calm Angel continued. “So you all just think you can barge into our home and tell us our marriage, our love and life we have built is just over? Null and void? That It doesn’t matter because this snot nosed golden child whined about it not being fair that he missed out because he killed a cop like an idiot.” Ranted Angel as he slammed his chair back sending it flying as he over turned the kitchen table.
“How come no one mentioned that they were suppose to be an arranged marriage until today? Let me and her get together and just never say anything all these years? How come he fucking knew but not her or I?” demanded Angel as Felipe restrained him against the fridge as you cried and you mom cowered behind your father.
“Boys like you deserve no explanation from men like me and your brother” spat your father as EZ just sat laughing before standing up and tossing some keys to the floor at Angels feet.
“Those are the keys to the trailer by the clubhouse. Effective in an hour that is where you live brother. This house and her are mine.” He stated before heading out of the kitchen.
Gillys House
Gilly and Coco sat in stunned silence as they listened to Angel go over what had happened earlier that day. The club had been dismantled to a degree. Bishop excommunicated and other brothers missing or had quit.
“She didn’t even say anything. I might as well hit the road. I don’t wanna see my girl getting dicked down and shit” stated Angel defeatedly as he slumped onto the table.
“Probably best she didn’t. The violence your brother showed earlier at the clubhouse can very easily be put on her.” Stated gilly as he exchanged a look with Coco.
“She loves ya too much to give up on you” offered Coco as he took a drag of his cigarette.
Next Day
“Stop” you screamed voice almost hoarse as you grabbed onto EZ’s leather. Trying your best to get him off Angel.  “Please EZ! I’m begging you. I’ll do anything please don’t hurt him!” you sobbed as he tossed you off him to the floor of the clubhouse.
This was your fault. If you had only held your tongue last night then EZ wouldn’t have beaten the shit out of you. Leaving you with bruises, cuts scrapes, a busted lip and black eye for Angel to get pissed about.
Panting EZ spun around on you making you skirt along the floor to get away. “Good girl. I knew you would see things my way” he growled as he yanked you up to him making you flinch. “Kiss me” he demanded in your ear as he gripped your neck. With tears in your eyes you did as he demanded as Angel watched from the floor.
For the next two months you pretended to be a good little wife. Keeping you and Angel safe from EZ wrath. You were lucky he was so distracted in gaining power that he didn’t pay much mind to your lack of letting him in your bed. He had tried but you had pushed back and a small part of him still wasn’t fully evil enough to just take what he wanted from your body.
Angel though didn’t see it that way though. In his mind you had moved on. Replacing him and giving up on the love and life the two of you had built. No reassurance from Gilly or Coco could make him see reason. No sneaked letter from you was read or when it was believed truly.
Present Day
Angel was sipping a beer as he sat on his patio overlooking the ocean. The crash of the rolling waves the only sound as he lay in his hammock. He had fled to Mexico a couple of weeks ago after a particularly bad blow up with his brother, the whole club was coming under fire and Angels loyalty had long ago left. Valuing his own life he had disappeared across the border with Coco, Letty and Gilly. Looking up at the clear night sky his mind drifted to you. Wondering if you were looking up at the same time. While he had given up on the idea of you two ever being able to reunite or that you still actually loved him he couldn’t help but ease into the comfort of old memories.
He still wore the ring. Bore the shared tattoos, had your photo as his background and framed portraits of you hung in his bungalow. He had managed to smuggle a poem you had wrote him out and your wedding album out  of the house as well as a shirt you had brought him and a pair of panties he had always kept in his leather. On the especially lonely nights after not being able to stomach bringing another woman to his bed. He would turn the lights down and use them to get off. His mind full of you as he talked out loud, moaning and calling your name.
Glancing at his watch Angel sighed before making his way inside. Calling it for the night as he tossed his bottle into the trash and turned out the lights. Angel had just drifted off when the knocking started. “What the fuck” he grumbled as he saw it was four in the morning. “Someone better be dead” he called as the knocking continued as he stumbled to the door. “What?” he snapped as he flung the door open.
“Hey” you murmured as you met his eyes. You watched as Angel went through every emotion. Irritation, shock and surprise to disbelieve and happiness. Within moments he had you pulled into the house slamming the door as he watched through the windows for anyone else.
“How?” he stated as he turned to you. You looked rough. Pale, hair a mess, makeup trialing down your cheeks as if you had been crying, dress torn to shreds and shoes missing.
You shook your head not sure how to be honest. “Someone shot EZ and then they dragged me into a van. I was blindfolded. Then a tunnel, it was dirt and wood. I remember a hospital? Then another van and then I got dropped off a couple blocks away and told to come here.”
“Why?” demanded Angel as he turned to you.
“Because I love you” you replied puzzled by the question. You were not a hundred percent sure what he was asking. Having known him for so long though you knew his mind would have been trying to paly tricks on him. That he would have talked himself into believing what your parents and EZ had said, That he was not worthy of you, that he could not provide for you and that you never truly loved him.
The silence between you two was loud as Angel took in those four words. Within seconds his lips were on yours as he pushed you against the wall. You parted your lips letting his tongue snake into your mouth as you moaned. Hands sliding down his bare chest to his boxers as his hands cupped your ass prompting you to jump and wrap your legs around his waist.
“Pregnant” you mumbled as Angel quickly ripped your panties off, flingers sliding through your wet folds making you whine.
“What?” stated Angel as his fingers stilled inside you. His eyes searching yours as you cupped his face.
“We are pregnant Angel. I” you started before his lips were back on yours as he carried you to his bed. Tears spilling from his eyes as he laid you down before pulling back and caressing your stomach as his hands travelled to your dress. Bunching it up his eyes landing on his name above your mound before yanking his boxers down just enough to free his hardened length.
“I just need to be inside you mi amor. After this I’ll make love to every inch of your body like you deserve.” He murmured as he carefully pushed into your slick heat making you back arch. Angel kept your his hands firmly on your knees as he watched himself disappear into your depths before pulling back out his cock glistening with your arousal.
“Angel” you whimpered as he slowly thrusted in and out of you. The head of his cock dragging along that sweet spot over and over. Angel moved over you, caging you in with his arms as his mouth found yours. Sucking down every sweet moan as he kept up his pace. He groaned as yours hands scratched his back and pulled at his hair, urging him on until he was pouring himself deep within your soft walls.
“I thought I had lost you” you murmured as he lay on top of you. “I love you so much Angel. No one else holds anything to you” you continued as he kissed your forehead and gently wiped at the tears that slipped down your cheeks.
“Shh. I know baby girl. I’m so sorry forever making you think I doubted the truth of your love. For leaving you behind, I will never forgive myself for that.” Murmured Angel as his tears mixed with yours.
A few months later
Angel was tearing home after his father’s call. His words still ringing in his ear. “I’m sorry I couldn’t kill him that night. He knows where she is and is coming for her”. Letting his bike crash into the driveway as he hopped off he took in the suv and bolted for the stairs just as he heard gunshots ring out. Taking the stairs three at a time he busted through the already broken door and slipped in a pool of blood, his own gun flying under the couch.
“No” he screamed as he crawled through the warm crimson river that flowed from around the corner. His eyes taking in the dark shape on the floor as tears poured down his face. Grabbing onto the arm he pulled you to him only to stop as he caught sight of movement by the nursery.
“I….I… killed…..” you stuttered as you dropped to your knees still holding the gun in both hands. Eyes wide as you gasped for breathe and your body trembled.
Angel glanced down at the empty eyes of EZ before slowly making his way to you. Once he had the gun out of your hands and the safety on he held you tightly to him as you sobbed. “It’ll be okay.” He soothed as he closed his eyes as your daughter started to cry. “We will all be okay” he continued as he heard the faint sounds of sirens.
The End

“Hey,” Satoru breathes, nuzzling his face into your neck, soft white hair tickling your skin.
“Hmm.” you hum, running your fingers through his soft locks, your other hand rubbing along his back, feeling the smooth material of his cotton shirt, lingering on the muscles you can feel under it. His arms tighten around you, pulling you even more into his lap so that your chests are as close as they could be, your bodies melded together. You feel his nose press into you and the rise and fall of his body as he releases a breath when you place a delicate kiss on his shoulder.
“You know you’re beautiful, right?”
“Satoru…” you do your half-awkward laugh, half-breathing out thing that you always do whenever someone compliments you, now burying your own face into his neck as heat crawls up your skin.
“You are. You truly are,” he says, pulling away from you and holding you by your waist, looking straight into your eyes with that unwavering gaze that never fails to let you know he’s being genuine. You take him in as his silver eyelashes flutter against his cheekbones, framing his azure eyes that are intensely staring back at you. His glasses are always off around you. He claims that he wants to fully see you as best as he can.
Awkwardly smiling, you hold eye contact for a few seconds before nervously glancing away from his eyes. At times like this you can’t help but wonder, how does he see you as that? As beautiful. Doesn’t he know that he’s the beautiful one? That he’s the one that makes you stop in place multiple times a day just to think, wow. It's hard to believe him sometimes, when he says things like this. He says it so freely too, with no hesitation, no reluctance, simply opening his heart for you to look inside and do whatever you want with it. It makes you grateful that he chose you, of all people. It makes you scared, because what will you do when it's over? When it doesn't last?
“We all know you’re the beautiful one, Satoru,” you respond, looking over his shoulder. When you’re met with silence, you glance back at him only to see his eyebrows furrowed, a pout on his lips, and without thinking you smooth your thumb over his bottom lip, smiling softly when he only pouts even more like a petulant child.
He cups your face with his large hand, frown softening but still there when your eyes flutter and you rub your cheek into him. “Why do you always do that? Why don’t you ever believe me?”
You keep your eyes closed. “You know why, Satoru…” You bring your front to his again, burying your face in his neck and holding him close as if he might disappear from under your fingers.
“I’m yours forever, you know? There’s no getting rid of me. No matter how hard you try. You’re stuck with me, baby.”
“So you’ve said.” You hate when you’re not able to respond with the same thing, hate the hurt he tries to mask but fails around you when you don’t tell him how you truly feel, but you know he knows. You just need to work up the nerve to let it out.
He lets you avoid, Satoru can never deny you. Instead, you breathe him in, inhaling the comforting smell of his cologne and detergent, and he rubs soft shapes into your back, deft fingers bringing you to the edges of sleep. It's like this for a few minutes, the soft sounds of your breaths the only thing you can hear on the couch, but then he speaks again.
“I’ll make sure to keep telling you until you believe me.”
You sigh, “Will you now?”
You feel the jerk of his head against your neck as he nods, determined, and you smile to yourself. You can’t ever let him go.
“I will, every single day.” You don’t mention that he already does. “You’re so incredibly beautiful, love. It kills me. I love it.”
You laugh, and he pulls away again to see the action, eyes crinkling with his own smile, dimples forming in his cheeks as his eyes sweep over your face.
“Alright, Sa- Oh!” You’re cut off when he lifts you up with one arm, wrapping your legs around his waist and strolling over to the bedroom. “Satoru!”
He winks at you, patting your ass. “I know a few other ways I can show you that I think you’re beautiful.”

one, two, and....
Tumblr media
Hanamaki x reader x Matsukawa
cw: cisfem reader, threesome, PIV sex, squirting
a/n: I've been working on this forever and I think it's time to release it into the world. Originally it was supposed to have three different endings to choose from, so maybe one day I'll release the Snyder Cut With all three lol!
Tumblr media
"I've been thinking of starting an OnlyFans."
You and Makki turn to your friend, sharing identical blank expressions. Mattsun doesn't crack a smile, eyes never leaving the television screen. With a few swipes of his thumbs, the dark-haired man has knocked your video game character off of the map with absolutely no mercy, forcing you to half heartedly return to playing.
"You kinda gotta be hot for that," Makki chides. He's been dead for a while now, so he just tosses his controller to the side. He's on the other side of his friend, leaning back away from the arm of the couch with a half-cocked smile.
"I am hot. Like, really hot," Mattsun replies, "And I have a pornstar cock."
A heat washes over your face and drains down your whole body. You can't deny it: Matsukawa Issei is hot. Like, really hot. Even in the low light, with only the neon flickering of the television illuminating the sharp angles of his face, he's beautiful. Heavy lidded eyes and thin lips that break into a troublesome grin-- it's almost tragic how beautiful he is.
You'd give your right leg for either of them to think of you as anything other than a 'bro'.
"Shut the fuck up." You're jamming the controller too hard and the plastic whines under the pressure, " 'Pornstar cock.' As if. You're such an asshole."
"Nah, that's true. He does have a massive cock." Makki nods, sticking his tongue through the gap between his canine and molar. He's cuter than his dark haired friend, with round cheeks that dimple when he laughs and round eyes that almost disappear when he smiles. It's a different type of hot-- an imperfect one that you crave all the same.
"Oh, you've seen his dick?" you ask, a bit sarcastically. They did play sports in high school; it's possible a penis popped out in the changing rooms.
"Duh." Makki puffs his chest, "We've had a threeway."
That's news. A sticky, dark feeling clings to your chest. It's wrong of you to want either of them, and yet you want both-- the idea that someone else beat you to it makes your stomach flip.
“It was a good one too.” Mattsun says. He doesn't even bawk, clearly more concerned with the game than this.
“Aww, it’s always good with you, babe.” Makki blows a kiss, with a flourish of his wrist, "That hand job? Phenomenal."
Your character dies in a blaze of color and lights, it's sad little noise soon drowned out by victory music. Mattsun tosses his controller to the side, pumping his fist in a rather calm victory. You quickly exit out of the game and let the opening screen loop, your mood soured.
"You guys are just fucking with me,” you grumble.
“Like I’d ever joke about sex.” Makki sends you a wink and you hate that it makes your cheeks a little hot.
“It’s the only thing he takes seriously," Mattsun agrees. They both elbow each other conspiratorially, sharing a laugh that might be at your expense. Mattsun’s dark eyes flicker to you and his wolfish smile grows toothier as he draws his gaze down, raking over every inch of your body. Oh, they are definitely lying. Your jealousy immediately drains from your body.
“Are you -?”
You interrupt Mattsun before he can even finish.
“Prove it then."
Both men turn in unison, Makki’s eyes wide and Mattsun’s narrowed.
“Prove you’re had a threesome,” you clarify with a shrug. Your voice is dripping with victory and you can barely keep the grin from your face.
“How can we prove that?” Mattsun laughs, “I didn’t take pictures.”
You pretend to think about it for a moment. “Kiss each other.”
“What?” It's Makki's turn to laugh.
“Kiss each other,” you repeat, making a jerk off motion in the air, “You guys rubbed cocks, but you won’t kiss? Really?”
They share a quick glance, communicating silently between themselves with fleeting expressions and pointing chins. Mattsun suddenly scoffs, turning back to you with a raised brow. Neither of them say anything and you know you’re won.
“‘I’m going to start an OnlyFans,’” you taunt, “‘I have a huge cock.’ ‘I’ve had so many threesomes.’ You’re such bad liars.”
Makki moves first. He presses forward on to his hands, gripping his friend’s thigh as he leans in head first. He lingers in the lack of space he's created, nose brushing up against his friends. They share a couple of unheard words before Mattsun closes the gap between them with a lazy tilt of his head, lips just barely touching the others in the faintest of kisses. Before you can claim that a kiss that chaste doesn’t count, Makki moves again, swinging a leg over to straddle Mattsun in a practiced move. You gasp out loud as they meet again, mouths parted and tongue sliding against each other.
Then, it’s a tangle. Mattsun’s fingers are woven into strawberry blonde hair, dragging him closer to catch Makki’s lip in between his teeth. He seems to enjoy the pain; Makki’s hums of approval rumble so deep you can feel it resonate in your chest, filling the space between your ribs with a burning desire. Hands wander, gripping shirts and hips and the back of each other's necks, barely giving them space to pull in a breath. It’s pornographic, the way they grind into each other, rutting like dogs. If it's an act- it’s a good one. Through the thick fabric of his jeans, you swear you can see the outline of Makki’s cock against his thigh, waiting for attention.
You want attention too-- you're dripping for it. You push back into the arm of the couch and clamp your legs together, hoping to smother the want that's built there. Part of you wonders if they’d ever notice if your hand slipped down the front of your pants; they’re so lost in the moment that you think they’ve forgotten you exist.
Just as you debate it, hand on the buckle of your belt, Makki’s head snaps your way knowingly. The dark haired man doesn't stop though; Mattsun's lips immediately latch onto the base of his neck, sucking a hickey on to freckled skin.
“C’mere.” There’s a pitch to Makki's voice as teeth sink in right before his Adam's apple. "C'mere."
There’s no time to hesitate. Makki’s hand clamps around your ankle and tugs, sliding you closer and trapping your legs between the men’s bodies. You barely manage to remain sitting up and you almost immediately regret not falling over. Makki is too close, watching you with a hazed over expression that makes your stomach twist tight.
Somehow, Mattsun is unphased, eyes so heavily lidded that you can barely make out how they flicker to you. At least, you think he’s unaffected, until one of his fingers catches under one of your belt loops. They pull you closer together, folding you until you're angled awkwardly beside them, legs still trapped.
"I-" you start, a pant to your voice. Sometimes you forget how tall they both are, but right now you are very aware; they both tower over you, a hunger in their eyes you barely recognize. "You guys-"
"Dude," Makki's breath tickles against your cheek, "Shut up."
"Yeah." Mattsun agrees into the soft of your neck, sarcastic as always, "Read the room."
The chaos of both of them slowly envelops you. Makki's lips meet yours as Mattsun's teeth nip and all you can do is gasp as every nerve in your body flares. It's overwhelming to be the center of both of their desires, being tugged and pulled back and forth, someone's hands digging into the soft of your stomach, someone else unbuttoning your pants.
When you break away to breathe, Mattsun is there, catching you right where Makki left off. He kisses differently- lazier, slower. His counterpart kissed you so roughly your lips burn where his teeth once were; Mattsun approaches with a feather touch, barely enough to satiate your need for him.
Hands snake across your back and around to your tits, greedily cupping them through your shirt. Somehow, you've migrated, now straddling Mattsun's lap with Makki at your back. Your bra gaps and gives and Makki grumbles in annoyance.
“Issei,” You’ve never heard Makki use his first name before, “Unhook her bra.”
Mattsun finishes the kiss, lingering, savoring, watching with his deep, dreamy eyes.
“Do it yourself.” His voice is practically a sigh. You want to melt into him, sinking into him to slot your mouths together.
"You know, last week Issei over here told me how bad he wants to suck your tits," Makki whispers into the shell of your ear. A warm touch slips under your shirt and your bra suddenly feels loose. You lean back enough to give the blonde enough space to go back to kneading your breasts and this time his long fingers roll your nipple between them, "He's been hard for you for a while now.'
A twitch has started in your legs, trembling tight as the hot feeling inside you screws tighter and tighter. The way your jeans sit gives you nothing to grind against, not even the rock hard cock that's pressed into your thigh. It's thick -- much thicker than you expected.
"I wanna suck them too, obviously," Makki continues, "I wanna put my mouth everywhere."
He pecks your earlobe. "Wanna suck your clit while you struggle to take Issei's cock."
Mattsun hums in approval as he grabs your hips, tugging your hips impossibly closer, "If she can even take it."
That turns your core molten. They want you-- they want you the way you want them. You wish they'd keep talking and blab about all of their dirty whims and wants-
"Yeah," you breathe, "Yeah, I can take it."
Mattsun slips his hand from your legs and ghosts them up to your waistband. The open button of your jeans makes it easy for him to slide in, dipping down under your panties. His fingers are wide, brushing against the cleft of your pussy delicately.
"She isn't shaved." He talks like you aren't there, looking over your shoulder to his friend.
"Oh, I like that," Makki chirps. The ministrations haven't stopped; he's still rolling and squeezing and pinching, watching for what makes you wiggle and gasp. He finds a good motion just as the heel of Mattsun's palm grinds against your clit. Those massive fingers waste no time, forcing their way inside you. The suddenness stretches you tender.
All three sensations combine and suddenly your brain is fuzzy-- your eyes can even stay focused. It's too much, it's not enough; you squirm and you can't tell if you're trying to get away or get more.
"Oh shit," Mattsun chuckles, scissoring his fingers side to side. This time you yelp-- mostly out of surprise -- and that spurs him on further. "There's no way you're fitting me. Fuck, I don't know if you'd fit Hiro."
"You're making me sound shrimpy."
"Shrimpier than me."
"I'm not shrimpy! Dude's like, inches longer than the national average. I've checked."
"You named your cock Dude?"
"Oi, it's a good-"
You cut in, voice flat. You love them both, but the quips just aren't that sexy when you're those horny, "Please stop doing-- that--" Oh, your voice is broken/, "You're killing my orgasm."
"Oh shit, you gonna cum?" Mattsun realizes, grinding back down again. That sparks something in you again, but not quite as bright, but your body cramps at the thought of not chasing it. "You that sensitive?"
"Love an easy girl," Makki chirps.
"I was going to-" You shook a glance between them, both sheepish and grinning- "until you guys opened your mouths."
"Aw, does that mean the threesome is off?" Makki says that as he's lifting your shirt up. You help, letting him strip your top bare.
"No," you admit in a low voice, "I wanna keep going.”
They exchange a look and you swear they are mentally high fiving each other. You wriggle off your pants and they both sudden spring into action, afraid of this moment passing by.
"You should ask Hiro to fuck you first." Mattsun pulls his own shirt off, "Let him stretch you out nice and good for me."
"Nah, fuck Issei first," Makki is quick to say, "I like sloppy seconds."
You don't have to think about it.
"Mattsun."
You're too greedy to wait.
Mattsun dips his thumbs under your panties and gently lowers them as he dips his face into the crook of your neck. There’s a surprising amount of stubble on his face- more than you’ve ever noticed before- tickling the softest softs of you. “These are really cute by the way.”
You clearly weren’t expecting to get dick today; you’re in your full coverage, full butt panties, the ones that hang out in the back of your drawer and digs a bit too much into your hips. “Really?”
He tries to bite back his smile, tongue poked deep in his cheek as he helps you off of the couch and onto the floor. You can’t help but wonder the last time these guys vacuumed as you watch the brunette lay down, urging you on to this lap with gentle hands. You end up on his thighs, just low enough that the lump in his pants is right above you.
"Yeah. They’re like, I dunno, homey. Comfortable. " He runs his hand up your sides. The other man doesn’t join; Makki just scooches the coffee table over with his foot to clear a space for him to watch. His palm is pressing into the noticeable swell on his pants as he watches, eyes flickering between the two of you. Suddenly, your least favorite pair of underwear is your favorite. You can't help but preen and pose, arching your back and cupping a tit coyishly.
"You just gonna sit there and watch?" you tease, even though your heart is racing, “It’s not really a three way without you.”
"Hey, this is free OnlyFans content! I’m gonna enjoy it!” He jerks his chin towards his friend, "Plus, I wanna see your reaction.”
Your eyes roll themselves at that. You turn back to Mattsun, waiting for him to laugh or tease, but he just watches you back, an overly cocky smile smeared across his lips.
“Are we really going to pretend your cock is that big?” You let your fingers trail down his bare chest and hope he can’t feel like them tremble. God, you can see it kick through the denim. It’s getting harder and harder to tease him now that they both know you want this.
“You’re so right,” Mattsun’s voice drips with sarcasm, “I’m tiny.”
He finally pops the top to his jeans and snakes them down. The light blue pattern of his briefs does nothing to conceal the growing sticky stain that's formed on the front. Most of his length is still hidden under the denim, but the bit you can see is….
Fuck, that that cannot be a cock. Maybe a fucking TV remote.
“So fucking small, huh?” You realize you’re making a face when he starts laughing.
“What a shame,” he continues as he frees the rest, “Hot guy with a micro-- you should pity fuck me or something.”
It’s pretty. That’s the fucked up part about it. The head is a soft pink, glazed wet with precum, fading into a surprising tan color. It’s thicker than your wrist, with a single vein down the underside and would be perfect to drag your tongue across. Mattsun gives himself a single, slow pump, pulling a perfect droplet of clear liquid from his slit. With the other hand, he takes your wrist and pulls your touch to his, letting you grip his length. Your thumb and middle finger barely connect.
“Hey, Issei?”
“Yeah?”
Your fingers pulse, testing the firmness. There’s some give-- he’s not even fully hard.
“You were right, this is a pornstar cock.”
Mattsun rolls his eyes and gives you another toothy grin. His legs spread wider, therefore spreading yours too- so far that your labia slips free from the short fabric of your panties. The damp skin feels cold against the air, but the heat of anticipation is making you sweat.
“I told you.” Makki chimes in. You hadn’t realized that he had moved until his voice was rumbling against the fat of your ass. He’s the one who’s spread Mattsun’s legs, crawling in between them on hands and knees to press kisses against your back. “You gonna take it?”
You’re not sure you can. It’s a comical amount of dick, but your pride won’t let you back out. “I’ve taken bigger.”
“Oh yeah?” Your underwear digs further into your skin as Makki tugs it to the side and completely frees your cunt. “‘cause it looks pretty small back here.”
With a squelch, two fingers slip easily into you, reaching and curling deep. A moan hits you like a punch, crumpling you at the waist. Hands on Mattsun’s shoulders, you just brace yourself as Makki eases out and pushes back in, this time a bit slower.
“Are you sure you aren’t a virgin?” He wriggles for effect and your body clenches around him in response.
“Oi, lemme feel.” Mattsun’s hand pushes through the petals of you. Just as you think Makki’s going to pull away to give Mattsun space, the stretch grows more intense; two sets of hands are crammed into you, knuckles brushing against each other, and it makes your vision starred.
“Oh-” Your voice hollows out on you, “My god--”
It’s all you can do to take it, letting them squelch and move and prod asynchronistically. It’s clumsy and strange and honestly a bit weird, but your body seems to disagree; excitement is literally dripping from you, running down your thighs and smearing across their hands, popping and slicking and practically leaking. They’re treating you like a toy, you realize, exploring instead of trying to please you.
Someone's talking. Your brain tries to fight through the fog of pleasure to figure out what's being said, but the pulses and twitches of pleasure running through every muscle in your body are simply louder. Everything inside you is teetering towards the brink in a way you're never felt before. It's not like any other pleasure you've ever felt-- it's internal, it's uncomfortable, it's----
And everything lets go. You're cumming, you think. You realized your eyes have been closed this whole time, too absorbed in what's happening inside you.
"Ohmygodohmygod." It's been your voice this whole time. When you finally come down, you realize the two have gone still, just watching you.
"Damn." Makki whistles low."Do you always squirt?"
Oh, you burn with embarrassment. You tey to close your legs but there's two men in between them. "I've never done that before."
"That's so hot."
“Fuck,” Mattsun is trying to angle your hips with one hand and adjust his cock with the other, angling for your hole, “I’m gonna cum so quick, it’s gonna be embarrassing.”
Trepidation turns your stomach. You're wet all the way down your thighs, but Mattsun is a monster-- it's going to ache no matter what.
"Go slow, okay?"
"Aw, you'll take what I give you." Mattsun rolls his eyes with a smile, running his cock head through your folds. His cock slips and misses a couple times, prodding where it shouldn't be.
"You're embarrassing me," Makki whines, "Let me fucking do it."
Two fingers spread your pussy lips open wide. You can't see, but the strawberry blonde must be holding his friend's cock now because it immediately finds where it wants to be; the head catches against your opening and sinks in ever so slightly. You have to will yourself to relax and not fight the intrusion-- even though the stretch is wild//.
"Hey," Makki taps your thigh and you realize you're shaking. The pleasure and the discomfort are different sides to the same coin- both make your toes curl and your breath hitch as Mattsun sinks deeper and deeper.
"You have a pornstar pussy, baby." A finger runs over where your body meets cock and you can feel how taut you're stretched. Your body pulses at that realization and it rips a groan from the man under you. "It's so sexy to see you get ruined like that."
"Oh, it feels so fucking good too," Mattsun gasps. He looks so good like this, with pink cheeks and sweat touched hair. His pretty lips are pressed together with effort, trying to hold himself steady and he carefully gives you more and more.
Fuck, you swear you can feel him in your guts and he's not even halfway in. Your toes are curling from the pressure alone, but you refuse to make any noise about it; you’re not going to stroke his ego anymore. You can handle him putting it in-
"I'm gonna eat your ass-- is that cool?"
Makki doesn't wait for a reply. The sloppy wet prod of his tongue against your skin is the breaking point. It feels strange and wrong in the most delightful ways and your body absolutely betrays you again; your head is absolutely swimming as you bump and grind into both men, taking more cock than you can handle as Makki defiles you-
“Yeah, squeeze tight,” Mattsun is jerking his hips up, driving into you with short strokes, “Holy shit, girl, you’re gonna make me look fucking stupid-- squeeze, that’s it--”
“I'm going to fuck you the second Issei is done with you, I swear to god--”
That sounds good to you. That sounds very good. You hum a little agreement, and Makki just laughs.
Hands are pressing down on your hips and you swat at the brunette in panic-- only to realize it’s not his hands that are rushing you. Makki, as he sucks and slobbers, is urging you down faster and faster, trying to get your hips against his friend’s. You try and obey, letting him greedily force you down, but a sharp twist of a cramp slowly starts to twist inside you.
“Hiro--” Mattsun sucks air through his teeth, eyes screwed tight, “Hiro, youch, she’s full. I’m touching her cervix.”
Your hips feel like they are miles away from Issei’s. Holy shit. Holy shit. It should be illegal to be that long. It hurts, it makes your insides twist--
But, damn, you kind of like it.
You press up on to your knees and sink down again, locking into the gentlest of rhythms. The aching slow movement is enough to make your body spark, electricity thrumming through your core and up your spine. The man under you can only watch, those puppy dog eyes wider and wetter with every stroke. Eventually he starts moving with you, bucking up into your cunt hesitantly.
The two loudest, most annoying men in your life are now silent, too focused on you to do anything else. All three of you just sort of click into a groove, grinding and bucking and loving and squeezing, your body coiling tighter and tighter, every muscle twitching and tense with need-
Somehow, you don’t cum first. Mattsun’s hands are suddenly everywhere, gripping your ass and rolling your nipple under his thumb. He fucks up into you hard and that sharp cramp returns, followed by a familiar pooling, wet warmth right against your deepest parts. You can feel the throb of his cock as he unloads, giving you every fucking drop he can. Issei’s lips are parts with effort, teeth marks imprinted on his lower vermillion. There’s almost a haze to his eyes, caught in his pleasure and still looking for you.
“Oh, shit-” he hisses mindlessly, “Oh, fuck, shit--”
It’s dripping from you and down Makki’s chin.
“You on birth control?” Issei asks weakly, all tension drained from his body.
“It’s a bit late to ask that,” Makki chimes in. The thinner man pushes you forward, shifting your weight onto your hands. Like this, Issei’s softening cock can’t stay in- it slides out with a dribble. Mattsun is now so much closer now, his face nearly nuzzling yours. Your eyes meet his, dark and tired, and you’re struck by the urge to kiss him properly.
You’re then struck by the sudden sensation of being stuffed.
Despite their teasing earlier, Hanamaki is //not// small. He's not inhumanely big like Mattsun, but you're aware of every inch, pressing almost as deep as before. The squelch of cum being displaced from you is loud and disgusting, but all three of you reveal in the sound.
“God, I love a fresh fucked pussy,” he coos. “You’re gaping and messy, baby.”
Where Mattsun moved slow, Makki does not. He's rutting into you hard, pushing you into Mattsun's chest. The man below you kisses your cheek with a laugh, clearly enjoying the faces you're making. You're wet down to your knees, smeared with a mixture of bodily fluids, and it offers no resistance for Makki as he enjoys himself.
It's like you're a toy, being used just for him pleasure, and you're body can't get enough.
“You gonna cum?” Mattsun asks mockingly. He just enjoy the sight, watching your tits hang against his chest. You almost say no, even though you're dangerously close to the edge again. “Ah, don't rush yourself. Hiro can last all night if you need it.”
“Hm, I'm just trying to give you some time to recover before round two,” Oh, you hate that he doesn't even sound phased, “I'm pacing myself.”
“Oh yeah?” Mattsun says.
Makki thrusts even harder, accenting his words. “How else are we supposed to go all night?

Softer, Softest
Josh Kiszka x reader
18+ only! Minors do not interact!
Warnings: sexual content, language, slight angst, penetration, cockwarming, etc
Okay, the quickest of blurbs (under 1k) because I have neglected my josh lane lovelies so, so terribly. I received a request for bad day/comfort josh but now I can’t find the ask. Did I answer it and forget? Perhaps. Who knows? Anyway, this is just a fast fix, but I promise a full length josh fic is right around the corner ❤️
Josh is lounging across the living room couch, battered paperback in hand, when you push open the front door with a clattering of keys and the thunk of your bag hitting the floor.
”Stay there.” You implore, when he moves to stand in greeting. Just the sight of his face, so beautiful and bright-white love, has tears threatening in your eyes.
He notices right away, and his own eyes turn wide with concern, “What is it, dove? What happened?”
”Nothing.” You shake your head adamantly as you kick off your heels, leaving them where they don’t belong in a way you normally never would, “Nothing I want to talk about, anyway. I just had a shitty day, and I missed you.”
”C’mere, baby…” his voice is soothing, lulling you like a melody as he pats his thigh, “Come sit.”
Hiking your pencil skirt up enough to straddle his lap, you settle in against him with a sigh of content. He is warm, and he is home.
His palm strokes up and down your back, wrinkling the silk of your shirt under its weight, “I’m sorry you had a bad day. How can I help? Are you hungry? I could make you something. Or draw a bath with those salts you like, read to you?”
You shake your head against his shoulder with a heavy sigh, “No. This. I want this.”
”Alright,” you can hear the soft smile in his tone, he is pleased to be what you want in your moment of struggle, no matter how small.
Fingers crawling upward, he squeezes at the clip tucked into your hair and releases it, then scratches lightly at your scalp to give you a shiver.
”That feels nice.” You murmur, nuzzling into his neck until he is all you can smell.
”Here,” he whispers, gently nudging your shoulders, “sit up a little.”
You do as he says and study his lovely face as he concentrates on working the buttons of your shirt before pushing it off of you. Next pop the clasps of your bra, and the bliss of being free of it sends another delicate shiver undulating up your spine.
“There we go, dove.” He pets at your hair again and then pulls you back in, blunt nails lazily tracing your back until you feel like glittering liquid in his embrace.
”Thank you, Josh.” Your lips brush against his soft skin as you speak, “I’m sorry.”
”What are you sorry for?” He asks, matching your quiet as his hands continue to coddle you.
”For being a baby.”
”You are a baby,” he reminds you, words filled right up with love. “You’re my baby.”
Suddenly, your heart feels too big for your chest. How did you ever get so lucky? Do you even deserve him? Certainly not…no one does. “I love you. I love you so much. I just want to disappear inside you and live there forever.”
He laughs at this, that tiny giggle that melts you right down to your toes every time it peeks out, “Isn’t it usually the other way around? Me disappearing inside you?”
You giggle to match him, “Classy, Joshua.”
”I am but a caveman,” his fingers swirl circles into the dimples of your lower back, “a disgusting specimen of the lesser species.”
Another laugh flits off your tongue. You know he is trying to cheer you up, and as always…it’s working. “You are no such thing. You’re so good to me.”
A comfortable silence creeps in, but your mind is working overtime. His comment, me disappearing inside you, playing on an endless loop until you can’t stand it any longer.
”Hey,” your voice is meek, timid and unsure, as you toy nervously with the mala beads looped around his neck.
”Hmm?” He pecks a tender kiss into your hair.
”Am I really your baby?” Why do you feel so shy about this? Normally you’re adventurous and even more outgoing than he is, which is really saying something. But right now you feel…inexplicably bashful.
“Of course you’re my baby,” his lips are pressing kisses against your head again as he audibly breathes in the scent of your hair.
“Can you…” you twist those cool, smooth beads around in your fist idly, “I want…”
”You want what, dove?” He soothes your nerves with that loving lilt laced through his tone, “Tell me. I’ll make it happen. I’ll give it to you.”
”I want to be closer to you,” your words breathe into his ear just before your teeth sink gently into his silken lobe.
He knows. He somehow always knows.
“Lift up, baby bird.” His voice, rasping with subdued lust and stark devotion, needles at your heart until your head swims.
You rise up on your knees and watch on as he tugs your skirt up even higher and then pulls at the waistband of his pants.
You lovingly tease him about these khakis and their elastic waist. You call them his ‘dad pants’ just to watch him become uncharacteristically crass and grab his crotch with a ‘I’ve got your daddy right here, dove’. But right now? Right now you’re more than grateful for the lack of buttons and zippers for him to contend with.
With your gaze fixed on his gorgeous cock, he sweeps your panties to the side and eases you down onto it. Hissing as the heat of your cunt envelopes him.
”Is that better, baby?” He asks shakily, once you’re seated in his lap, filled up tight and snug with him.
“Much.”
You relax fully in his arms and it tugs at his heart-strings, making him even more completely fucking gone for you. He would set this whole world on fire if you felt even a little bit chilly.
A haunting, calming song begins to hum out of him, the vibration of it purring from his chest and straight into your heart.
”You sound so pretty,” you praise, cheek pressed just beneath his throat until the weight of the world seems to lift away and disappear.
”And you feel so pretty, dove.” He’s lightly scratching your back again, coddling you into a haze. “Softer than satin absolutely everywhere. Inside and out. Soft here,” the back of his hand brushes down your arm, “softer here,” his thumb kisses your lips, “softest here.” His hips lift ever so lightly.
Without waiting for a response, he begins humming to you again…guiding you gingerly into sleep while he rests, safely nestled inside you.

lilac - chapter 8 + epilogue
Tumblr media
miguel o’hara x f!reader
summary: the walls are crashing down, and even spiderman can’t hold up an entire universe.
wc: 6k
warnings/tags: smut, kidnapping, universe collapsing, torture, filming, blood, blade violence, explosions, choking, falling off a building, love confessions, major character death, start-overs
If you closed your eyes hard enough, if you flooded your senses with your deep, treasured memories and blocked out everything around you, you were able to transport yourself back into last week. Last week, when Gabriella had crashed on the couch, and you and Miguel were lying in bed with chests heaving and sweat cooling across your necks. The bedside lamp was dim; the bulb needed to be changed. Outside, the city continued to thrive, churning and burning and spitting. But inside your bedroom, your hand clasped in his, the world was still.
He had rolled you over so that you lay on top of his broad frame, but he was still inside of you, soft and flaccid now that he’d finally chased his release - after giving you yours four times. You blinked tiredly, staring at nothing as you felt one of his long, thick fingers skimming over your back.
“I’ve been thinking,” you murmured against the warm, tan skin of his shoulder.
Miguel hummed, acknowledging your words. His fingers continued to graze across your skin, up and down, up and down.
“Obviously we’re… planning on staying together. For a long time. Right?”
Though he kept his eyes closed, his thick, full lips quirked upward into a smirk, allowing the tips of his fangs to poke into view. “Believe me, sweetheart,” he rumbled from deep in his chest. “I’m not letting you go anytime soon.”
His words stirred inside of you, like a new hope springing to life. “Well… we’re going to need to move. Someplace bigger, with more room. For all of us. And this city, Mig, it’s… it’s not safe.”
It was then that Miguel’s eyes opened, and that smile slowly disappeared from his lips. You felt your heart sink with them, like an anchor in your belly. “You’re talking about moving away?” he said. When you only lifted your head to look at him, chin resting on his sternum, he exhaled deep and moved his hand to begin carding through your hair. “I can’t leave, bebe,” he said softly. “You know why.”
Yes, you knew why. It was because he was Spiderman, and this was New York, the worst city in the country to live in. With criminals on every block and fires and shootouts and a sky so deeply and violently purple you’d never even known its true color.
Being a lover, a father, everything before and after and in between, was what made Miguel who he was. But that was only a part. That other half came from being a hero, from helping those who could not help themselves. Walking with a sense of pride in what he did, knowing that people had something to trust in.
And you knew he could never leave that.
So you swallowed thick and let the issue go. You sighed and wrapped your arms around his large, naked form, nestling your face into the soft, delicate spot where his throat met his chest. “Okay,” you said, and you felt him lean down to kiss the crown of your head. “I’d still like a bigger place, though. Your daughter can’t sleep on the couch forever.”
Miguel chuckled, wrapping a sinewy arm around your middle to keep you close while you both dozed off. “I think we can do that.”
You were suddenly brought back to the present when, behind the glass partition you were facing, the giant, hulking machinery moved a few inches before coming to a halt. The metal groaned and squealed, startling the little girl held tight against your chest. Gabriella was heavy, and your arms were beginning to grow tired, but you would hold her until the end of time, if you needed to.
The Alchemax viewing area was dim and dark in the corners of the room, illuminated only by the glow of the control panel to your right and the stark, white lights projected onto the molecular collider in the lab. It was a massive piece of machinery, built to withstand its own otherworldly power, armored and bolted to the ground should the walls and ceiling be blasted away into nothingness.
You turned slightly when the collider moved again, twisting and turning in on itself, and Gabriella released a small, pitiful cry against your shoulder. Twisting your expression into a sneer, you fixed the man at the control panel with the meanest look you could muster.
Doctor Octopus - Otto Octavius, a visionary genius turned terrorist after his mechanical arms took over his head - lifted his head slightly and let his shades slip down his crooked nose. In return to your harsh frown, he gave an apologetic expression that carried no genuinity whatsoever. “Sorry, sweetheart,” he said as one of his arms reached out to flip a few switches. “Just a few test runs.”
Shifting Gabriella’s weight to your hip, you glanced down and smoothed the girl’s hair from her face. She was still wearing her jacket that she would have put on at recess - they must have been watching the school, waiting for her to emerge from those brick walls so that they could snatch her up. Suddenly you were cursing yourself, wishing you could face your reflection in a mirror and shatter the glass with a fist. You could have been there. Could have made sure she was safe, she was secure.
Her being here was your fault.
And her being here meant something that made your veins turn to ice when you thought about it; they knew who Spiderman really was.
When the collider began to shift again, shaking the building slightly in its very foundations despite being here in the basement of the building, you turned your head to face Octavius again. “What exactly are you all planning to do with this thing?” you said, watching as he shifted across the control panel to reach a few buttons and scanners. “I heard it wasn’t ready for tests yet.”
“From who, darling?” he said, meeting your eyes over the rims of his shades. “A spider on the wall?” When you said nothing, averting your eyes to the floor, he hummed and continued on, allowing his mechanical arms to carry him over to a large monitor. His gloved fingers typed faster than you thought possible for a person. “Alchemax is playing a dangerous game with a toy they don’t understand. Tests mean nothing when dealing with a piece of the future like this. That Spiderman of yours told you about the multiverse, didn’t he?”
Told you about it. Explained it. Came from it.
Octavius raised a finger and beckoned you toward him. You hesitated, holding your breath, before silently padding across the observation area to stand behind him at the monitor. Squinting your eyes against the light, you watched as he gestured to a warping, live image of string-like animations repeating in a loop on the screen. “These,” he said, finger grazing along the lines, “are realities close within one another. They’re different, sure, but only in little ways. Someone’s eyes are a different shade. A grain of sand is misplaced a foot from where it landed. Again - little ways.” He used the touchpad of the computer to scroll outward, giving you a view of so many lines warping together it looked like almost an entirely colored screen. “And these are the realities within our grasp with the collider. Meaning -” he looked down at you - “every reality in the multiverse.”
You stared at the screen, hugging Gabriella to yourself tightly. One of those lines was Miguel’s reality. Where he was supposed to be.
As Octavius scrolled back in, you caught a glimpse of a line flickering and glitching, unlike the others. You stopped him. “That one,” you said, and he halted. “What’s that one?”
“Earth - 9193,” he said, his voice low and grave. He met your eyes, his gaze darker than it was just a moment ago. “Our home universe.” He gave a rather rueful smile as he watched your expression melt into one of confusion. “In our reality,” he explained as his mechanical arms set him - finally - on the ground, “there is no Spiderman. This city - it’s not supposed to get better. So imagine the universe’s bafflement when Spiderman from a different reality swoops in to save the day. It tries to expel him. Tries to correct canon events gone wrong. But it couldn’t. And so - it’s collapsing.”
“Collapsing?”
“Correct.” He paused and you both looked up when, overhead, there came a distant boom; the city falling apart at the seams. The building shook again and dust fell from the ceiling. To your surprise, he lifted one of his arms and shielded your head as it bounced off your shoulders and clung to your hair. “Call us selfish,” he said and lowered his arm again. “But my associates and I aren’t particularly fond of sticking around when the end comes around.”
You blinked a few times at the screen, feeling your heart skip a beat or twelve as you let his words sink in. Your universe - it was collapsing. That was what the glitches in the city had been. That was why Miguel’s apartment building had folded in on itself - it was because of him. No matter where he went, the glitches followed.
Because he was a virus here in your reality, and when viruses could not be expelled, the system would ultimately kill itself.
You clutched the little girl in your arms a bit tighter. “You’re… running away,” you murmured as Octavius fiddled with the monitor and its data. “You’re leaving us all here to die.” The words were barely able to clear your throat, barely able to keep themselves afloat.
He hummed in that way you noticed he did. “Running away wouldn’t be the correct term,” he replied. “Moreso… self-preserving.”
At that moment, the doors leading into the observation area were thrown open on their hinges to reveal the figures you had come to fear striding into the bay. You took three steps back as the Prowler slid down a railing and came to a smooth landing at Octavius’ side. “How are we looking, Doc?” he said as his purple, eye-lit mask dematerialized to reveal his face. His gaze was a touch crazier than you remembered it, bold and wild in a way that screamed danger.
Octavius’ cold, stony facade slid back into place as he adjusted his shades and rose, his mechanical arms lifting him off the ground. “Swimmingly,” he replied. “A few more tests, and she should be ready for lift off.”
“Perfect!” shouted Ferris abruptly, causing you to jump slightly. He clapped his hands and approached you as, behind him, Kraven hefted a news broadcasting camera onto his shoulder and began to fiddle with the settings. “Sorry to keep you waiting, babe,” said your ex as he approached you, taking two steps forward when you took one back. He showed off a disturbing, unnatural smile. “Had some loose ends to tie up.”
You sneered at him and turned, placing yourself between him and Gabriella. “You’re fucking insane, Ferris,” you hissed, inches from his sickening grin. “Taking me is one thing, but a kid? You’ve lost it, for real this time.”
“Big words, coming from you,” he said, tilting his head as the collider twisted and churned again. “Shacking up with a vigilante who crossed realities to dick you down.” He snickered to himself. “Listen, babe. That day when Spiderman - sorry, O’Hara - cracked my spine and broke my jaw and left me to suffer in that fucking alley, I realized something; why stick around in a dump like this when I can make like your little fuck buddy and squeeze myself into another dimension? Hell, why do I need you when I can just find another one of you who won’t screw me over?
“So I managed to get myself up. Crossed paths with these guys, told them…” He brought his lips close to your ear, so close you felt his breath fan across your skin. “I knew the identity of Spiderman.” He grinned again, drew back slightly to touch his forehead against yours. You would have smacked him, shoved him away, were you not still shielding the little girl in your arms. “I would say it’s not personal, babe,” he whispered. “But it is.”
Then his lips were smashed against yours, so roughly and ruthlessly you were flashed back to when you still lived with him, let him touch you, let him fuck you. He would always kiss you like this, like he possessed you, like he owned you. It only lasted a moment or two before he pulled back, forcefully plucked Gabriella from your arms, and handed her off to the Vulture, who was standing beside Octavius.
“Alright, boys,” he said as his mask materialized back over his face. “Let’s make a movie!”
Taking a few steps closer and backing you up against the glass partition of the observation area, Kraven hoisted the camera up and pointed it directly at you and Ferris. You found yourself frozen in place, petrified and staring back at your own reflection in the lens. His clawed hand came up to grip the back of your neck, and the other clapped over your mouth.
“Stick to the script,” he murmured in your ear, “and I’ll let the kid live.”
“Broadcasting to every system in New York,” said the hunter, then clicked a button and the camera and a light near the top flashed red. “...Now.”
Unbeknownst to you, across every screen in the city - televisions, phones, Times Square, everything - the broadcast crackled through and began to stream. There was not a soul in New York that was not watching.
Not one.
Ferris tilted his head at the camera in a way that made your stomach churn. Even behind his mask, you knew he was smirking and squinting his eyes in that way he did when he was playing coy. “Hello, Spiderman,” he said in a low, even voice. It sent chills crawling up your spine, made you struggle in his hold until his claws dug against your skin. “You and I have unfinished business, and it would be rude to leave hanging in the air - you know, before we both jump ship. You know where I am.” Behind you, the collider moved, and this time, it did not stop. A blast of energy exploded from the edge, shaking the building again. You stumbled slightly, raising a hand to clasp at his wrist over your mouth. “And just in case you need some incentive…”
You let out a small shriek when Ferris ripped you forward, sending you spinning around to face the camera. Before you could get anything out, he came up behind you like a vengeful apparition and grabbed your jaw, his claws digging into the soft skin of your cheeks. “Go on,” he murmured in your ear, just loud enough for the camera to pick up. “Cry for help. Cry for him.”
Against every ounce of willpower you had, because you didn’t want to give him the satisfaction, you felt tears pooling in the corners of your eyes. Just a moment later, they spilled over, cascading down your cheeks and staining the fabric of his glove. Yet despite your tears, despite the silent sobs racking your body, you refused to speak.
Ferris dug his claws into your cheek further, drawing a few dots of blood and pinpricks of searing pain. “Come on,” he whispered against the shell of your ear. “Beg for him.”
Your eyes turned behind the camera, where the Vulture held Gabriella’s collar in a grip tight enough to pale his knuckles. She stood beside him like a confused puppy, tear tracks staining her face as she watched you. And you knew you couldn’t do this alone. Not with her here. Not with Ferris.
Spiderman,” you breathed, then cried out when Ferris yanked your hair to expose your neck and poise a claw over your throat. It gleamed in the light that the collider was throwing about the lab, shaking and burning out energy.
“Ah-ah,” he tutted. “His real name.”
You didn’t have time to mull over the realization that you were going to expose his identity, didn’t have time to think about that, really, it wouldn’t matter, because your reality was tearing apart, anyway. Blood collected on your cheek where his claws dipped in, and pain seared through your face.
“Miguel!” you finally wailed, feeling your tears mix with the scarlet. “Mig, we need you - please! He has Gabriella. I need you, please, Mig, I need you!”
With a grunt, Ferris spun you to the ground, then stalked forward and grasped the camera by the lens. “Come and get your girls, O’Hara. Alchemax. You have until the universe collapses. Or, you know…” He trailed off as his mask tilted downward toward you. “I decide to let one of them go a little early.”
You found yourself sitting against the row of desks holding computers, cradling Gabriella to your side as you watched Ferris and the rest of the vigilantes watch the collider charge, murmuring amongst themselves. You heard the words ‘sensors’ and ‘turrets’ and ‘muzzle for those teeth’ and ‘dead before he hits the ground.’ They had planned for Miguel, were waiting for him.
Gabriella murmured your name - the first thing she’d uttered since you both had been brought here - and you at once looked down. She clutched onto your dress, her cheeks stained with tear tracks and her chest rising and caving with deep, panicked breaths. “Is Daddy going to come and save us?” she whispered.
Doing your best to shove down the dread, and sorrow, and grief hanging suspended in your throat, you put on your best wobbling, warped smile and brushed her hair back from her face. “Yeah, sweetheart,” you replied quietly, just barely audible over the sounds of the collider. You sniffled, holding her closer. “He’ll be here any minute.”
It couldn’t have been just a few minutes later when, from the corner of your eye, you saw one of the computer screens jump to life. You thought it to be chance, a touchpad disturbed by the constant shaking and rattling of the building, but then images began to flash across the screen. You turned your head and realized they weren’t images, but letters. Words - being typed out across the monitor.
Letter by letter, your name was spelled out. The cursor blinked for a moment before everything was deleted. Then -
H E R E.
Your breath hitched in your throat as you leaned forward. The word was typed again, this time in bold. Then in italics. The computer - no, someone behind it - was beckoning you forward. With a few words of reassuring nonsense in Gabriella’s ear, and a quick glance to make sure the men were still distracted, you crawled on your hands and knees along the row of computers. Sitting up on your heels, you faced the dim screen.
Hesitantly, you whispered, “Hello?”
The word disappeared, soon replaced by another. L Y L A.
Lyla - Miguel’s AI. A surge of hope flooded through you like a tidal wave, filling your veins, your heart, your soul.
H E I S C O M I N G.
You exhaled, blinking at the screen. Then -
D U C K.
Your body reacted before your mind even had a chance to catch up. The entire world seemed to move in slow motion as you scrambled to your feet, grabbed Gabriella and huddled behind the desk - just moments before the back wall blew outwards in a ground-shaking eruption. The glass partition shattered and the collider shrieked as debris rained upon the observation area like hail from a hellstorm. A chunk of rock sliced across your cheek, letting pain rip through your face and blood spill down your face.
Like a train unable, unwilling to stop, to keep from plowing into the first thing it saw, a flash of red and blue came tearing from the site of the explosion and collided with the purple figure of the Prowler as he struggled to his feet. They went sprawling across the rubble-covered deck, only separated when a mechanical arm grabbed the back of Spiderman’s leg and hurled him across the room.
He caught himself and landed in a striking pose - then his mask dematerialized, and Miguel’s scarlet eyes raised to the men before him. He opened his mouth, exposing those long, glinting teeth, and released an animalistic snarl that froze the blood in your veins. His hair was mussed and the lines beneath his eyes seemed deeper than before. His hands, his claws, practically trembled with the rage and fury radiating off of him in waves. In that moment he was truly more beast than man.
You shielded Gabriella’s eyes as he snapped, standing again to his full height.
“About time,” said Ferris behind his mask, then readied his own steel claws. “Let’s settle this once and for all - Spiderman.”
The next few moments were blurs of violence, of villains with metal limbs and wings and a thirst for blood all came down to assault Miguel where he stood. He was a whirlwind of action, taking blows and giving them back in a tempo you knew was not humanly possible. His teeth sank into skin. His claws tore through muscle. He roared and thrashed and fought for everything he had, because life outside may have been falling apart, but his entire life was right there inside that observation bay.
Bits of light poking through the still-settling dust from the explosion drew your eye away from the nauseating fight, pulling your attention to the place where the door used to be. Flickering from the corridor - the exit.
Gripping Gabriella’s hand so tight you knew it ached, but you didn’t care, you brought your face close to hers so that she could look into your eyes. Blood still seeped down your cheek, now staining your collar and your neck. “Listen to me,” you said to her, just audible over the sound of her father snapping one of the Vulture’s wings in half. “We’re going to run, okay? And we’re not going to look back. You hold my hand and don’t let go. Just like we practiced with the drills at school, alright?”
She nodded her head, and then you were off. You ducked your head as a piece of technology sailed past, tugging the little girl along over rubble and through the shattered doorway. From there you took the first stairwell you found, listening as the sounds of the battle grew more and more faint. Up and up you went, until you reached a heavy metal door that you shoved open with all your might. Gusts of wind rushed in to greet you, whipping your dress skirt about, whispering about your fate in your ears, and when you reached the roof, it seemed that, really, they were right.
New York was no longer recognizable. It had turned into a hellsite of glitches and chaos, entire streets folding in on themselves before completely vanishing. You nearly screamed upon realizing Harlem, Queens, Brooklyn… they were all gone. From this height you could see past where the river was supposed to be, but instead it was all… nothing. There lay a vast, wide nothingness, like a blank canvas. No ground. No buildings. No people. Everything, just… erased from existence.
Panic rose in your throat like bile, pulling you to your knees and fresh tears to your eyes. It was all true - your reality was collapsing in on itself. All those people, gone. And soon, you would be, too.
It was a long moment before you realized Gabriella was tugging on your hand, attempting to pull you further along the roof as she kept her terrified gaze trained on the door to the roof - until it was too late. You both shrieked as the Prowler emerged from the frame, his suit ragged and torn, stained with blood and his mask vanished. Scarlet ran down his face, same as yours, as he approached you on the roof.
“You want to know something funny, babe?” he said. The last word, that awful pet name, was rasped through clenched teeth as he stalked you, taking his time even as you scrambled to the edge of the building, because you both knew - you had nowhere to go. “I wasn’t really going to kill you in that alley. Just wanted to scare you, ‘ya know?” His face dropped. “Now I really wish I had.”
In a moment, Ferris had pounced, rolling you over and over yourself on the roof of Alchemax, his clawed hands tight around your throat and his knees on either side of your waist. No matter how much you struggled, how much you kicked and screamed and wailed and bucked, he refused to let go.
How ironic, came a quiet, barely-there voice. Even while it dies, the universe is attempting to fix itself.
As tears blurred your vision, you shifted your gaze to Gabriella, who watched the life being strangled from you with wide, petrified eyes. To Gabriella, who suddenly clutched at her stomach, her lips parting. To Gabriella, who, slowly, like a channel stuck on a loop slowly fading out, began to dissolve into a reality-splitting glitch.
To Gabriella, who was there one moment, and gone the next.
For a moment, you stopped your struggling. You stopped trying to grasp at Ferris’ own throat, stopped your kicking and howling. You just lay there, feeling the life drain from you slowly, staring at the spot that little girl had been just seconds ago.
You would have cried, could you have breathed. You would have screamed, could you have breathed.
You would have died inside - could you have breathed.
“Isn’t this romantic?” panted Ferris over you as his hands tightened their grip on your throat. “The two of us, going out together? Like we were always meant to?”
You knew he would have killed you then and there, had you both not heard the thundering, storming, ground-shaking thuds pounding up the stairs leading to the roof. Footsteps. A body being slammed into the walls as they ran. An ear-splitting, heart-skipping roar of your name.
Ferris let out a long, trembling, exasperated groan before he yanked you up by the neck, hauled you over to the edge of the building, and held you out like a lure over a lake. Your hands, your nails, scrabbled at his wrist as you looked down the best you could, watching as people stories and stories below scrambled for cover before glitching out of existence. Your legs dangled, your hair blew in the wind.
This was it. This was how you bit it. Not from strangulation or being winked out of your reality - but from a drop that would hit you before you knew what had happened.
Slamming out onto the porch in a frenzy of raw, untamed, wild fury, Miguel skidded to a stop and began to lunge at the Prowler - before he laid eyes upon your form at the end of his arm. His gaze searched wildly for his daughter, for his Gabriella, before it met yours. Before it took in the tears spilling down your face.
“Don’t you see what you’ve done to us, O’Hara?!” said Ferris, flexing his fingers around the column of your neck - the only thing keeping you from plummeting. “What you’ve done to our world?! Can’t you just leave us this last bit of ourselves before we all kick it? Can’t you just leave us alone?”
Miguel began to pace on the rooftop, edging closer and closer with each step. “I can offer you a bargain,” he said, but his voice came out more snarl than word. “Give her to me and I send you home. To a different home, one just like this. You’ll never know the difference.” His tone dropped. “You’ll think you’re in the real thing.”
Your legs were beginning to go numb, your fingers clawing at Ferris’ wrist losing feeling. One hand dropped to your side.
Ferris shook his head, sneering at him with all the hatred left in this collapsing, dying universe. “You already took my world,” he said. “So I’ll take away yours.”
And suddenly you were falling. Released from his grasp, because in the split moment after he let you go, his body glitched and jumped and disappeared. But you were still there, plummeting toward what remained of the earth below you.
You didn’t think it would be so fast.
Craning your neck against the wind screaming in your ears, against the sight of the Alchemax building beginning to crumble as it, too, succumbed to the fate of all else, you watched as that familiar suit of red and blue jumped off after you. Extended his arm. Released a web that, you thought, wouldn’t get there in time.
But it did. The webbing clung to your chest, pulled taut, buoyed you like a bungee cord as Miguel stuck himself to the side of the building that was still standing. He slowly lowered you to the ground, then began the descent himself.
You stood. Extended a hand to him as he raced toward you.
Then fell as you lost the feeling in your legs, lost what it was to be still.
Miguel caught you before you hit the ground, skidding to his knees and gracefully pulling you into a cradle in his lap. “Hey, baby, hey,” he said in a strained, strangled voice. Red stained his temple, the crooked bridge of his nose. “Hey, I’m here. I’m right here.”
You realized then that you were crying again, letting sobs and wails rack your body, because you knew what was happening. You knew it because everything else of this world, of this reality, had vanished. Ceased to exist. It was just him, and you, and the sky overhead. Nothing else. And soon, you would be gone, too.
“Miguel,” you gasped, reaching up a shaky hand to paw at the side of his face. “Gabriella - I tried. I really, really tried, I’m sorry -”
“Shh, baby, I know. I know you did.” Through the wetness in your eyes, through the sensation of your lower portion becoming static and fuzz, you watched as tears pricked at his own eyes. They trickled from the corners, mixing with the grime and blood on his face, and he did not wipe them away. “It’s okay. It’s okay.”
You cried and clung to him, desperate to hold onto the feeling of him. Of his hand cradling the back of your neck. Of his lips against yours. Of his body on your own. Of his laughter against your skin, and his fingers trailing across your back, and the warmth that spread through your chest when he smiled at you.
God, that smile. What you wouldn’t do to see it again.
“I don’t want to die, Mig,” you said, your voice wavering. You’d forgotten the feeling of your waist, of your belly. They were foreign to you. Glitched out. Going. Gone.
You did not jump when Miguel opened his mouth and released a stifled sob, his warm, salty tears dripping onto your face. “I know,” he shushed you through his own cries. “It’s going to be okay, alright? I’m right here, baby. I’m right here. You’re going to be okay.”
Arms dropped. Your chest stilled.
“Hey,” you said, nudging your nose against his when he leaned down to press his lips against your temple. He met your eyes, his forehead pressed against yours. “Look.” Your gaze tilted upward, upward, to the sky. He followed it. “No smoke.”
You were right. Without the buildings to churn out smog, without the people to feed the machines, without the universe to choke itself out… the sky had cleared. And it was not violet, or plum.
It was lilac.
Miguel dipped his head again, his lips quivering as you stared up at him. “I love you,” he said.
You would have said it back - were you not already gone.
He stared at his now-empty arms, eyes trained on the spot beneath him you had just been. There was no trace left. Nothing left behind, nothing to tell him you had even been there.
For a long, long moment, Miguel sat still, his chest heaving and his eyes wide and his lips parted. Then he dropped to all fours, shoulders shaking and knuckling the ground, and opened his mouth to scream. It was a wail heard in every corner of the empty universe, a cry that shattered everything of the nothing left. Filled with agony, and grief, and horror, and guilt. Again and again he screamed, fangs glinting and tears gleaming and throat hoarse.
When he at last could not take any more, he collapsed onto his side. Hands twitching. Chest shaking.
Nothing.
For a long while in that empty universe, it was still. Silent. Lilac.
Then, from behind Miguel, there came a voice. “Hey, boss,” said Lyla gently. “Ready to go home?”
Earth - 2943
New York
Roses, peonies, lilacs, irises… the bundles of flowers crowded your workstation at the back of your store like a wildflower field had grown right in the middle of the little shop on seventy-first. Greens and pinks and yellows and oranges filled your windows. Petals littered the floor like a chapel. Living walls carefully and lovingly-kept occupied the sides, a rainbow display of every flower and blossom one could name.
Your little flower shop was doing well - and you couldn’t have been more proud. You lived alone in your apartment just upstairs, your rent was on time, you didn’t have to work a second job at all to keep yourself fed.
Everything was perfect. As it should have been.
Your attention was drawn to the front of the store when the little bell above it chimed, signaling someone had just entered your shop. “One second!” you called around the corner, hurrying to clip off the remaining thorns from the blossoms. “I’ll be right there!”
When you were finished, you wiped your hands off on your apron, gathered the bunch of flowers up in your arms, and swept around to the front room. There, a man and a little girl - his daughter, no doubt, they looked almost identical - stood admiring the displays you’d set out just last night.
“Good morning!” you greeted them, carefully setting the bundle down. “Can I help you find anything?”
Brushing a bit of hair from your face, you were able to see the man more clearly. Your breath hitched in your throat; you were staring at the one of the best looking men you’d ever seen. Tan skin and cheekbones placed high on his face, full brows and lips, a sinewy body and a tapered waist… he was beautiful.
The man smiled at you - with his lips closed, but nevertheless it was gorgeous - and jutted out his hip to place his hand on. Oh, fuck, that was hot. “Just browsing,” he said kindly.
You found yourself unable to pull your gaze away from him. You could not say precisely what it was, but there was something that drew you to him. Like a magnet between walls, almost, yearning and needing to be closer.
When he realized you were staring, he smiled wider.
“Heh - sorry,” you said, shaking your head. You leaned over your counter as he meandered closer, letting his daughter marvel at your flowers. Up close, you were able to see the tired, exhausted lines beneath his eyes. “It’s just… have we met before? There’s just something about you…”
Unbeknownst to you, because he could never let you know, could never let you go… you had met before. In a different universe. In seven, to be precise. He had met you as a teacher, a stripper, a doctor, a thief, a hero, a villain… He’d seen you in every form your soul had to offer. And he would continue to do so. Because he wasn’t going to let you go.
Not then. Not now. Not ever.
He chuckled, his free hand reaching up to touch the delicate skin of his throat. “No, I don’t think so. First time in here.” He tilted his head, smiled at you. “But… I wouldn’t mind getting to know you better.” Then, like every other time before, and every other time that would come after, he stuck out his hand and said, “I’m Miguel. You are?”

You’ve changed
Masterlist
Summary // Five returns from the future apocalypse, you’re happy to see him but he seems different now. What happened to him?
Tumblr media
//
“Y/N, stop it” Five demands as you storm down the halls of the academy, Five’s been home for a week and all the two of you can do is butt heads. Your once cheeky but sweet brother is now somber and angry, willingly taking his rage out on you at any moment. Brushing off his words you continue to your room, the anger inside you threatening to boil over “just leave me alone, you’re an asshole” you snap back, his cold cruel words still echoing through your mind. He stops following you, silently admitting defeat and watching as you go into your childhood bedroom, slamming the door behind you.
You want to scream and cry. Why is so cruel now? That’s not the Five you know. Sitting on the edge of your bed, you put your head in your hands and let the tears fall down your cheeks, unable to control it.
Knock knock. The sound echoes through your room, stopping silent cries. “What the fuck do you want?” You snap, lifting your head lightly to see Five stood in the doorway, his big doe eyes piercing into you “I- I just wanted to say, I’m sorry Y/N” he words are soft and slow, “you’re right, I am an asshole and I’m sorry” the sweet boy sighs, taking his right hand and rubbing his face. Five was never one for apologising, that would mean admitting he was wrong but he hated to see you cry, especially by his own words. You sigh, tilting your head back lightly as you do, are you still upset? Of course but his sincerity sways you.
Standing from the bed, you push the damp hair out of your face, revealing your puffy eyes and tear stained cheeks. Five apprehensively steps closer, carefully watching you. Taking a deep breath you step forward, raising your arms for a hug, he smiles, pulling his hands from out his pockets and wrapping them around your waist, pulling you in tight. You’ve missed his hugs.
“Stop being such a dick” you mumble after a moment of silence, arms still tightly locked around your brother, he chuckles “I’ll stop but only for you” a grin present across his face. You shake your head and laugh, this is your brother. After a moment of comfortable silence, you reluctantly release your grip. Five grips tighter, confused you look up at your brother, a sweet smile on his face as he scans your face, slowly lifting his hands up from your waist to your face. “Five what are-“ before you could finish that sentence Five kisses you, soft and slowly, you could help but kiss back. It felt too good to stop.
After what felt like forever, your lips part, unable to control the small whimper from escaping your lips. Five chuckles at the sound, watching as you turn away, too embarrassed to look at him. Gently cupping your cheek with his hand Five turns your head back towards him, a soft smile on his sweet lips. “Do you forgive me?” He asks, tilting his head to the side and pouting, you smirk and shake your head. “This time” you mumble, watching as he silently celebrates, “good, you know I hate it when you’re mad”.
The two of you stay silent for a moment, hearing the footsteps of your siblings walking around the halls, your eyes glued to the door as his are glued to you. Once the footsteps disappear you let out a sigh, being too fearful to breath. Five gives you one last kiss, softer than before, you almost melt under his touch as he lets out a breathy laugh. Loosening his grip around your waist you take a step back, putting your hand to your lips as you smile, the taste still lingering. “I should go” Five sighs, clearly wanting to stay, you watch as he turns around and heads for your door. “I’ll see you soon princess” he winks, sending butterflies through you before disappearing back into the halls, all you can do is stand there and count down the minutes till you can do that again. He might be an asshole but he’s your asshole, right?

ok listen obviously like everyone else i am Fucking Devastated but the fucking sHRIMPLICATIONS here are KILLING me.
the two last "new" songs we got before the hiatus were alpha dog and from now on we are enemies (equally fucked up song btw) and pete namedrops alpha dog as the last song they wrote before the hiatus and it's such a. it's SUCH a fucking. augh.
like it's so painfully and clearly a farewell. the lyrics all telegraph it. your time has passed. never means forever. walk off into the sunset. the discussion of how much effort is required to maintain this life and how they already feel burned out, past their prime when they were all in their mid-twenties and early thirties. and the sheer fucking POETRY of the way it was the last song they recorded - tell rock and roll i'm alone again - until they announced their triumphant return with save rock and roll in 2013. welcome to the new déjà vu.
and oh yeah the last word issued in the song's studio version is the word "abracadabra," which pete cites as the word that christian bales character in the film “the prestige” says he will utter before he disappears from prison. "abracadabra" was a key word in the viral ARG-esque marketing campaign leading up to the release of believers never die...right before fall out boy seemingly vanished off the very face of the earth.
and, OH YEAH, the first shows they played after reuniting involved a multi-song medley spanning all the stages of their career, with one of those songs being the first time they ever played alpha dog, albeit partially.
the notion of the wizard through the curtain speaking to a sense of bitterness (at least if pete's ten year old genius annotation is anything to go by) which is the exact same phrasing to the way joe would later talk about the band's fraught, strained feelings leading up to the hiatus in a podcast with kerrang while promoting his book.
many people have pointed out the parallels between flu game and alpha dog - the way they both discuss the exhaustion of being so visible and constantly putting yourself out there and how taxing that is, especially when you're simultaneously trying to cover up how hard it is. how isolating it is, when the whole world is squinting against the starlight feathering off you. it's worth noting that these parallels are not merely implicit, either. "flu game" is in and of itself an explicit reference to a famous game michael jordan played while sick in which he claimed that he didn't want to give up, no matter how sick and tired he was. and how did pete annotate a specific couplet, ten years ago?
we must make it hard to look so easy doing something so hard
Tumblr media
another explicit reference to michael jordan, years and years prior.
and this is the first time they've ever played alpha dog in full. nearly 15 full years after the hiatus started. by now, fall out boy have been together for far longer than they've ever been apart. by now, fall out boy has been in their "posthiatus" era for longer than they have their "prehiatus" one.
i dont really have a conclusion to this. just, i dunno man. something about the repeated lyric "never means forever" on a greatest hits compilation titled "believers never die." something about i'm a star vs. so much for stardust vs. no more stardust. something about motifs that span decades, that span years of hurt and cracked-open wounds that have now been poured over with liquid gold, mending them anew. something about reclaiming old scars and ugly histories and reforging them into something filled with streaming starlight and sun-drenched smiles.
abracadabra.

MOTH TO A FLAME (PART 2)
contents: 18+ !!! smut !! after u have been sneaking around w eddie, behind your bf's back, you gain some sense *finally.* word count - 963
✮ find part 1 to this drabble here

Tumblr media
you’re back in eddie’s van, of course, but this time you’re on top of him in the drivers seat. one of his hand is around your neck, the other resting on your thigh, as you move fluidly up and down his cock. you can’t help but sigh softly, the pleasure overwhelming your body.
“keep going, baby,” eddie hums, watching his cock disappear into you as you move on top of him. his eyes flicker up when you lean forward to gain a better angle and your breasts are in his face. he moves the hand that rests on your thigh to cup a breast and maneuver it into his mouth. your eyes flutter closed, embracing the feeling of the tip of his tongue working on your nipple.
you can tell eddie is on the brink when his hips lift to meet your ass, pumping himself into you. his movements are quick and eager, using your body to get himself to finish. his quick pace makes the knot that forms in your abdomen more prominent, beginning to feel the orgasm that’s on the horizon. “don’t stop, keep going,” you whisper, your eyes screwed shut. in an instant, your body unwinds, releasing onto eddie’s cock. eddie pushes himself into you swiftly, with a grunt, as he fills you with himself and releases into your cunt.
you’re out of breath, your mind and body coming down from the euphoric high of an orgasm. you’re suddenly aware of your surroundings, realizing that the fog from you and Eddie’s breath that covers the front of the windows hardly distorts the activities that you and eddie engage in in the front seat - and you’re in a park, although eddie tried to hide the front of the van behind low hanging branches of nearby trees when you initially pulled into the park’s parking lot.
you slide off of eddie and into the passenger seat, once again looking around the front seat of the van to retrieve articles of your clothing. “so,” you say, a little smile tugging at the corner of your mouth. now that you aren’t in the thick of fucking eddie, your secret that you’ve been holding back comes to the front of your mind. “i have a secret.”
eddie, too, searches for his clothes, maneuvering around the van’s steering wheel to pull them on. he finds his tshirt, pulling that on too. “are you going to share your secret or did you just want to make it known that there’s something you know that i don’t?” eddie says with amusement.
“hmm,” you say, tapping your chin with you pointer finger. “i suppose i could tell you if you really want to know. i think you’ll like the secret too.”
eddie crosses his arms over his chest, leaning back to lean against the car door. “well, go on.”
“i broke up with andy,” you say, knowing that this is what eddie has been waiting to hear for weeks if not months. “i told him that we’ve been seeing each other and he, well, wasn’t very happy.”
eddie’s face is smug and you can tell he wants to say ‘i told you so’ since he knew you’d eventually break up with that sap of a basketball player and come back to him. you roll your eyes, “go ahead and say it. say, ‘i told you so, y/n.’”
eddie smirks, a snort escaping his mouth. “no, no, you just said it for me.” he leans forward now, reaching across the front of the car to grasp your forearm and pull you, gently, forward. “i’m just happy because now you’re all mine, for forever as far as i’m concerned.”
you flush, eddie’s protectiveness turning you on all over again. you know you should have broken up with andy the second you started dating him; he could never compare to eddie. andy was lame, and boring, his basketball ‘skills’ were no match to what eddie can do with his guitar. you’d find your mind wandering off while you would go out with andy, wishing it was eddie. or, sometimes, you’d just pretend andy was eddie altogether, making it easier to enjoy the time you spent with andy.
on the other hand, you hated that you cheated, knowing that behavior wasn’t who you were or something you approved of - but, you had to admit, going to andy's house, covered in eddie’s scent, your cunt filled with eddie’s seed, turned you on beyond belief. there was something, something just so sexy, about watching andy play basketball, his glance looking over to you in the stands to seek your approval, knowing that afterwards you were going to eddie’s house, letting his mouth travel from your lips to between your thighs. it was you and eddie’s little secret, and after breaking up with him, you realized how much you missed him, how it was such a mistake to break up with him, and how you’d do anything to have a secret that was just between you and he again - even if that meant cheating on andy.
Tumblr media
the next day you walk down the school hallway, eddie’s arm around your shoulders. beside you, eddie struts as if he’s a peacock, his smugness radiating off him. although you find his claim on you amusing, and sexy, you feel safe again.
to your right, although you don’t notice, andy leans against the row of lockers that line the wall, his basketball teammate jason beside him. eddie, who is fully aware of andy’s presence, tosses a glance at andy. eddie’s smug face returns, and he mouths “sorry” to andy, offering a careless shrug. eddie doesn’t care if the whole basketball team is planning to seek revenge on him; he’s just glad to have his girl back.

Hi! Can we get a song fic, I feel like it's been forever since one. I was thinking about Vices by Mothica with Billy, please 🩷
I've missed writing for Billy! I hope this is what you wanted and you enjoy it. Thank you for requesting🫶🏻
Vices
Tumblr media
Feel like I'm just passing by It's not love, it's just a guy And it's got me feeling right for the night, but In the morning, when he's gone I'm alone with all my thoughts So I gotta drink 'em up 'til I'm numb and
Y/N thought she was strong enough to play in Billy's game. She thought she would be able to kiss his lips and not feel a thing. To feel his skin on hers and know it doesn't mean a thing.
At first, it was easy. She could keep her feelings aside from sex. She and Billy found themselves in bed at a random party. Then it seemed they were always looking for each other.
There was a time when his kisses didn't hurt, and his smell didn't make her heart clench. She was mad at herself for falling for him, especially after all the times she swore to him she never would. Because they both knew Billy was never going to settle down. And she knew she wasn't going to be an exception.
"Sorry I'm late, Steve made practice run late," Billy groaned as he entered Y/N's bedroom. He tossed his jacket on the floor and began to unbutton his shirt.
Y/N sat on her bed, heart aching in her chest as he walked towards her. She gulped down her feelings, focusing on the skin that began to appear as Billy tossed his shirt to the floor.
"I missed you, gorgeous," he whispered as he leaned down. His lips ghosted over hers. His blue eyes sucked her into a trance. She felt as if she didn't control her body, it moved on its own.
Their lips met in a heated kiss, his body pushing hers against the bed. She rested underneath him, her hands skimming up his chest. She placed her hand on his heart, loving how it was racing. She wondered if it was from the sexual tension or if she was a tiny bit special. Then she moved her hands into his hair, yanking it how he liked.
His deep growl made her insides burn. She yanked his hair again, smirking as he moaned out and released her lips.
"Did you miss me?" He asked, his voice raspy and deep. He began to kiss her neck, not leaving an inch of skin untouched.
"Do you want me to miss you?" She asked
She yelped when he grasped a clump of her hair and fisted it in his fists. Her head ached but not as much as the pulsing between her thighs.
He moved his hands down her body, shredding off her clothes as he kissed down her stomach. She tried to keep her breathing under control as she felt his tongue slowly lick up her clit. She felt his breath ghosting over her clit, and she ached to feel any type of pressure. But he looked up at her with a smirk and a dark chuckle.
"You know I only pleasure good girls," he warned
She wished she was the only one he pleased. But she was the one he was with right now and that's what she needed to focus on.
"I missed you," she cried
That seemed to be what he wanted, she moaned out as his mouth went back to her cunt. His warm tongue licked up and down. She fisted her hands in his hair, her back arching as his fingers slid inside of her.
It wasn't love
It's just love
He's just a guy
She chanted in her head over and over
Ooh, it's never enough Pass me the cup Got nowhere to run So pour me another one I'm taking it all I'm getting lost I'm making a fool of myself with all these vices
Y/N swallowed back her tears as Billy's lips latched onto another girl. It wasn't a shock and it was something she had seen many times. But it felt as if each time he stabbed her harder and deeper.
She blew off the party, her head pounding as tears ran down her face. She raced home and grabbed a bottle of alcohol from her dad's bar. She snuck it into her room, breaking open the new bottle as she closed her door.
She collapsed on her bed and began to drink. She continued to drink until the pain in her chest disappeared. She felt stupid for being upset over him. She felt stupid for feeling anything in the first place.
The worst part is she couldn't tell him a thing. She couldn't admit she was a goddamn fool.
Is it okay I'm not okay? I don't sleep too much these days And I hate being awake when the sun's out Lock my door and shut the blinds They can't see my bloodshot eyes I got habits I can't hide in the light
She had to call it off
She couldn't get small doses and restart the pain every morning. She needed to try to heal, try to move on, and forget him.
He was silent on the other end of the phone, all she could hear was his breathing increasing. Then the line went dead.
She knew she shouldn't be surprised, but his saying nothing at all killed her. She didn't expect him to fight but she expected something.
~
Time and days passed and she hadn't slept. She spent her days drinking in bed, doing anything she could to kill the memory of him.
She's been hiding from her friends, barely leaving her room. She was embarrassed of her state and didn't want anyone to see her. Not when her eyes were shot red from alcohol and crying.
I'm making a fool of myself with all these vices I really don't know why I'm like this And I just don't care what the price is 'Cause I need these vices, oh-oh-oh If it's not drugs, it's drinks If it's not drinks, it's things If it's not things, it's people Places I don't wanna be, these vices And I just don't care what the price is I'm tryna fill up the silence With all these vices, oh-oh-oh
She was spiraling and Billy could see it. She tried her best to avoid him but it seemed as if he followed her everywhere. No matter where she turned she found his blue eyes. She'd run before he could make it over to her.
Her friends were worried but she was helpless. The one person who could heal her heart was Billy, and he wasn't going to. She knows she looks foolish, sitting here crying and drinking about a boy who was known to never have feelings. She was doing whatever she could to not feel him anymore but it was all she craved.
So, she went to a party and found him alone. His eyes caught hers and she froze as he walked up to her. They stared into each other's eyes and didn't say a word. She placed her hand on his shoulder, leaning up and kissing him.
She gasped as her body was free of all the pain. Her head was clear, the only thing she could feel was how perfect his lips felt on hers as he kissed her back. His hand on the back of her neck, keeping her in place as he kissed her harder. Everything in the world was finally silent.
"Where have you been? I miss you," he said against her lips. She ignored the way her heart raced and silenced him with her lips.
Burnin' through a cigarette Got somebody in my bed But I'm still just in my head, in my head and All the signs are turning red And I'm starting to regret, and I'm starting to regret To regret these vices
A few days passed since they kissed at the party and she's back to being afraid to face him. Everything felt right when his lips were in hers and she was dying without him. For the first time since she'd known him, he called. She hung up once she heard his voice, and then he called again. She was too scared to pick it up and face her actions.
Each day that passed, her phone rang. It was taunting her and she could feel herself going crazy. By the fifth day, she yanked the cord out of the wall, apologizing to her parents for her unstable behavior.
The weekend rolled in and her parents headed out of town. With the house to herself, she feared she'd fall back into him. She grabbed her fake ID and went to the nearest bar, she couldn't explain multiple missing bottles to her dad anymore.
~
Bar came and gone, now she was wasted as she smoked a cigarette. Everything felt so much worse. The man next to her snored and she sat up in bed. She placed her head in her hands, crying quietly to herself for how everything turned out. The man beside her did nothing to fix her, he made her feel gross. And pathetically, she felt like she betrayed Billy. She took another drag of the cigarette, holding the smoke in her lungs.
She had many regrets but Billy Hargrove was her biggest one.

⤷ gojo x reader | 0.7k words |
⤷ tags | insecure reader, very self-insert, suggestive content at the very end, established relationship, not proofread, satoru loves u, u love satoru, he's a sap!! satoru carries you up at the end.
Tumblr media
“Satoru…” you do your half-awkward laugh, half breathing out thing that you always do whenever someone compliments you, now burying your own face into his neck as heat crawls up your skin.
He claims he wants to fully see you as best as he can.
“I know a few other ways I can show you I think you’re beautiful.”

Mirror Sex - Punz X Reader
MDNI || KINKTOBER
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Word Count: 943
Pairing: Punz x fem!Reader
Summary: He thinks you’re so pretty, especially when you’re all fucked out, he wants you to see it too.
Warnings: NSFW, Punz referred to as Luke
Author’s Note: Welcome to day 2 of kinktober!
Requests are open! || masterlist || kinktober m.list
“God you’re so pretty,” Your boyfriend of two years, Luke, told you as he kissed your lips.
You had been sitting on his lap, the two of you making out for what felt like forever, not that either of you minded. You rocked your hips gently on his lap, the friction causing him to buck his hips up ever so slightly.
You smiled, kissing him back gently, “I’m glad you think so,” you giggled.
“You don’t?” He asked, sitting back, resting his hands against your waist as you sat on his lap.
“Depends on the day, kinda,” You shrugged, not giving it too much more thought.
You were about to plant another kiss onto his lips, but he pulled back, giving you a bit of a confused expression. Your hand glided down his chest, wondering why he suddenly seemed as though he wanted to stop.
“What?” You asked him, a little concerned on why he had such a change in expression.
“No, nothing, but I just can’t have you believing that,” He said a bit sternly.
You couldn’t help but let out a small laugh, “Believing what? That I only feel pretty on some days?” You asked.
He responded with a nod, “You’re always pretty,” he leaned down to kiss your neck.
You bit your bottom lip softly, tilting your head to the side, allowing him to have some more access.
"Luke..." You mumbled out softly.
"I'm gonna show you how pretty you are all the time," He said against your skin.
He sat up, moving you to sit on the bed while he went to go and get something.
You looked at the door as he disappeared past it, wondering where he was going or what he could possibly be getting. And what the hell did he mean when he said he'd show you how pretty you look all the time?
You were mid-thought when he returned into the room with...
A mirror.
"A mirror...?" You questioned.
He positioned the mirror in front of their bed.
"Don't worry about it," He said, causing you to give him a strange look as he made his way back over to you.
He used his fingers to lift your head up before leaning down and pressing a kiss to your lips.
"I want you to see how beautiful you are, especially when you're all fucked out..."
Oh. Oh.
"Well, show me then," You said, playing into his little game.
He pushed you back onto the mattress, taking his shirt off somewhere along the way. You removed your own shirt quickly before pulling him down into yet another kiss.
His hand slid down your body to the waistband of your pants, his fingers grazing just above where you needed him most. The only thing keeping his fingers from you directly was the thin fabric of your panties, still, the friction felt so good, causing you to bite back a moan.
"C'mon, don't hide your pretty voice from me," Luke teased, pushing your panties to the side, his middle finger slipping inside you ever so slightly. The action was enough to cause you to whine.
He removed his hand long enough to help you shuffle out of your pants and underwear, leaving you exposed to him.
He was quick to resume his previous actions, using two fingers this time instead of just the one.
You bit down on your lip, repeating his name when his fingers would just barely hit where you wanted him most.
You already felt so close to your release and he'd barely done anything to you.
"Please- so close.." You whined, but then were met with complete disappointment when he removed his hand entirely.
"Don't worry, I've got you babe," He reassured you.
He repositioned the two of you so that you were now facing the mirror, him behind you. He grabbed onto your hair, causing you to keep your face up at the mirror.
"Look at my pretty girl," He said softly as he caressed your hips with his free hand.
He lined his dick up with your entrance and pushed in slowly, causing your mouth to fall agape.
"Luke, fuck..." You whined as he picked up the pace, slamming into you over and over again.
Your head started to fall, unable to keep yourself looking up, your arms felt as though they were bound to give out on you. Luke must have noticed this because he pulled your hair a little, keeping your head up.
"Eyes open, baby, keep looking in the mirror for me," He told you through heavy breaths.
You couldn't answer with words, just noises as your voice began to break. He was hitting exactly where you needed every single time.
"You're so pretty, look at you," He said, as he continued fucking into you harshly.
"S'close, please..." You begged, sounding close to tears.
"Let go for me, baby," Your boyfriend tells you and you can tell he's also getting closer.
You take notice of your face in the mirror. Your face is red and tears have stained your cheeks. You have to fight the urge to close your eyes and let them roll back.
You whine a little more as he finally pushes you over the edge, hitting your climax.
"Mm, baby, look at you," Luke groaned as he came inside you, riding out your highs before pulling out and pulling you to lay down with him.
"So?" He asks once his breathing returns to normal.
"So what?" You ask, confused.
"Did I prove how pretty you are all the time?"
"Actually, I think we should do it again, I wanna get a better look I think."

Mountain Top Confessions
Pairing: Geralt of Rivia x child!reader
Summary: Taking place in S1.E6, the little girl that Geralt took under his wing all those years ago isn't so little anymore. After overhearing something she wasn't supposed to while he and Yennefer argued about the quest to find the golden dragon, the witcher is forced to have a conversation with Orion that he'd been hoping to push off for as long as possible.
Warnings: Hurt feelings, talk of regret, death, etc. Really nothing much
A/N: Here's a story for a trope that's not in demand that nobody asked for, and yet I couldn't help but write! I actually wrote this forever ago and completely forgot about it, but I saw it today and thought I should share it even if it's only in self-service. Lemme know what you think!
Just so you know, this story exists within the world of the other Witcher stories I've written with the oc!character Orion. There are some references to those stories or Orion's life with Geralt in general, but I don't think it's completely necessary to read anything to understand this one.
Masterlist
-----------------
“Did you mean it? What you said to Yennefer?”
Geralt sighed, his entire body sagging with the release. After his fight with the enraging sorceress who always seemed to find a way under his skin, he had no energy left for anything more. Least of all a defiant tween.
He turned to look at Orion, who was stepping out from behind the tree from which she was hiding. The Witcher blamed his scattered emotions for the failing of his normally heightened senses.
“You weren’t supposed to hear any of that…I told you to stay with Jaskier.”
“But did you mean it?” She asked again, stoically, without meeting his gaze. Geralt couldn’t tell what was going through her head. These days, he never could.
When Orion was little, and her favorite place in the whole world was Geralt’s arms, the witcher didn’t have to worry about finding the right words to say. All he had to do was hold her, and it was like anything and everything that worried her little head would disappear.
At first, Geralt detested this part of guardianship. It made him feel like a witcher turned cuddler and coddler, and he could feel Vesemir’s disapproving glare from all the way across the Continent. After giving it some thought, though, he figured it was probably for the best. Those who truly knew him knew how verbose he could be, but witty remarks and philosophical ponderings never meant too much to a six year old.
But now his Orion was twelve. Her eyes were forever wide, never shutting for the fear of missing something worth learning. And she had so many questions that Geralt alone was in charge of answering. He couldn’t wrap her in his arms anymore and pretend the Continent wasn’t confusing or dangerous. He owed her answers, and she deserved his words.
Geralt hesitated for only a moment. The truth was unfortunate and uncomfortable, and he’d hoped to not have any conversations resembling the one they were about to have until she was older. But it was too late for that now, and he wouldn’t lie to her.
“Yes.”
Before he could so much as explain, Orion was already rushing away, quickening her steps to meet up with the rest of the group.
“Wait-”
She didn’t listen.
“Orion. Wait!”
He jogged forward, grabbing her arm and twisting her around to face him. She ripped herself from his grasp at once. Her face was stone cold, but still present were the hints of a curled top lip and the flash of barred teeth.
She looked so much like him when she did that. It nearly made his head spin.
He cocked his head to the side a little, a warning for her to check her attitude. She didn’t take it.
“Will you let me explain?” he said with an even tone.
“Explain what? That you regret taking me in?" The powerful rage in Orion's voice was not enough to mask what Geralt knew was lying underneath: deep, overwhelming hurt. "Well, you know what, no one held a knife to your throat and made you! If you didn’t want me, you should’ve done something about it!”
“That is not what I said.”
“You said-”
“Orion!” he shouted, and the child’s mouth clamped shut at once. She could count on one hand the amount of time he’s raised his voice at her. “What I said was that taking you in taught me, more than anything else, that raising a child is not something to be taken lightly. It’s a lesson that Yennefer could benefit from learning.”
The girl bit her lip and wrapped her arms tightly around her middle. “You said raising me taught you that your life isn't suited to a child. That implies regret.”
“I do have regrets,” he agreed, and he noticed the flicker of insecurity in her gaze. He felt like an ass for putting it there. “Do you want to know why?”
Orion stayed silent, and he suspected she didn’t want to know at all. He was going to tell her anyway.
He spoke his next words very softly. “Every minute of every day, I regret not being able to give you the life you deserve.”
That clearly wasn’t the answer she was expecting. He could tell from the immediate wrinkle of her brow.
“What?”
He sighed again, averting his eyes to the group behind her. They were making a steady pace up the mountain. And Jaskier, with his slightly codependent nature, kept turning back every few steps to check on his travel companions. Apparently, their yelling was loud enough to attract the attention of even the loudest of bards.
Their eyes locked, and Geralt nodded once to let him know that everything was alright. Or, at the very least, that it would be. Jaskier didn’t look convinced, but he gave a defeated shrug and turned back around to continue walking. The witcher hesitantly directed his eyes back to Orion, who seemed to be frozen in a state of confusion.
“Geralt, I don’t understand any of this.”
“Our life on the path isn’t normal, Orion. You think it is, because it’s all you’ve ever known, but it’s not.”
“I know tha-”
“No, you don’t. You grew up hiding from monsters that most humans never see in their lifetime. By the age of eight, you were well versed in the art of ignoring those on the streets who throw stones as you walk by. And that's…that's not a reflection on you, it’s a reflection on me.”
“But-”
“I’m not telling you this to make you feel bad about the cards you’ve been dealt. It’s the same way I was raised, it’s all I know. But witchers are a dwindling species for a reason, and the last thing I wanted was to make you a part of our ranks. I never wanted you to be like me.”
“But I did! I’ve always wanted to be like you.”
Geralt wasn’t sure how to respond to that. He opened his mouth to try, but all that came out was a confused grunt. With a tilted head and lifted brow, the witcher sat there in silence as he struggled to understand.
How was it possible that after all this time, his sweet, open-hearted Orion still didn’t believe what he knew to be true? He wasn’t the man she thought he was, and the longer she failed to realize that, the longer she would spend wandering blind in the dark.
Orion took a few steps closer until they were an arms length away. It always shocked the witcher when he noticed how big she had gotten, how much she had changed from the little girl he used to know. “Geralt, people throw rocks at us because they’re afraid of what they don’t understand. You’re the one who told me that.”
“I did, didn’t I?” he averted his eyes. “What was I thinking?”
Orion’s lips lifted in half a smile.“And people die everyday because they don’t know how to hide from monsters. Most humans don’t even recognize the signs for when one is around. I have a leg up on all of them.”
“But you wouldn’t be around monsters as often as you are if it wasn't for me.”
“I wouldn’t be alive if it wasn’t for you,” she reminded him sharply. “If you hadn’t found me, I’d probably still be sitting at the entrance of Kaer Morhen. A pile of bones withering to dust.”
“Don’t say that!” Geralt snapped. His sudden change in tone shocked Orion to her very core, as it was a fiery anger that she'd never before heard directed at her. His eyes were wild and rabid as he stared at her, his entire body tense and shaking. To her, it was an extremely paradoxical image; he'd somehow managed to look terrified and terrifying at the same time.
The witcher had to squeeze his fists to stop himself from saying something he might regret. It wasn’t Orion he was mad at. If anything, it was himself.
Because the idea of his child going through a life-or-death situation should have been something he could only imagine. It should have been a distant nightmare, something that tortured his sleep but eased away once he awoke and realized it was only a figment of his imagination.
Except that it wasn’t. Not for him. Orion had looked death in the eyes more than he could possibly count, and Geralt was the one leading her directly to it.
“Don’t,” he repeated again in a clipped tone. “Don’t say things like that. You’re here with me because I made a choice. And while I may regret the implications of that choice, don't ever insinuate, even for a second, that I don’t want my child.”
Orion was used to him calling her his. And she was, in all the ways that mattered. But it was always still a shock to her heart when he did.
If Geralt noticed her reaction, he didn’t show it. “You needed me, and I made a choice,” he continued on. “Just as I made a choice to not do the same with my child surprise.”
Oh, the infamous child surprise. From the little Orion knew, the whole thing ranked somewhere high on Geralt’s top ten list of the stupidest things he’s ever done.
She wouldn’t pretend to understand why he was so insistent on ignoring the existence of someone he was connected to. “What if they need you too one day?” she asked. “What then?”
“He’s a prince of the largest and fiercest kingdom in all the North. He’s got people pleading for the honor of wiping his arse. I doubt he needs the help of a lowly witcher.”
Or she, Orion thought absently. And perhaps a little dreamily. What luck it would be if Geralt was tied to a princess.
“Kingdoms fall everyday, Geralt. You also said that.”
“Let's stop using my words against me, yeah? I’ll have to start keeping track of what I say around you.”
Orion didn’t respond, staring back at him with an expectant glare.
“Orion,” he leveled with her. “If Cintra falls, he’ll have dozens of people whose sole responsibility is to take the sword for him. He’ll be alright.”
“And you’re sure of that?” Orion implored. “You can sleep peacefully at night knowing that maybe, just maybe, there’s a kid out there who might one day be as helpless as I was? A kid that, unlike me, is entitled to your protection?”
“The only person entitled to my protection is you.”
They were at a stand still, and after a moment of nothing but silence and a gentle breeze passing between them, Orion decided to let it go. She didn’t even berate him for ignoring her question. Because truly, she knew the answer already. She knew that every night, when he thought she was asleep, he rose and paced in circles for hours on end. The sound of him incessantly cleaning his swords had become white noise for her throughout the night. In fact, Orion couldn’t remember the last time she actually saw him sleep; really sleep, that is. Because Geralt wasn’t nearly as much of a master at pretending as he thought he was.
So instead, all she did was try and direct the conversation back to its original topic. If Geralt wanted to be pig headed about the situation he put himself in, then fine. That wasn’t her main concern.
At least, not right now it wasn’t.
“Okay, well,” she sighed, struggling to change subjects without making it sound awkward. Suddenly, this whole conversation felt awkward. She felt stupid for being insecure, and she felt even more stupid for bringing up Cintra when she knew he’d shut down. “You don’t have to worry about not giving me the ‘life I deserve,’ or whatever it is you regret. I quite like the one I have.”
Geralt remembers her saying something to that effect before. She’s probably said it a number of times by now. But it never mattered, never meant anything real to him. It felt too comparable to a mutt saying that it quite liked its cage.
So he stayed silent. That alone spoke volumes to Orion.
“You’re never going to believe me, are you?” she groaned with an exasperated tone. “No matter what I say?”
He gave her an honest look. “It’s not likely.”
Orion surged forward at once, crashing into his chest with a resounding thud. The witcher barely had time to catch himself, but even as he took a step back to regain his balance, his arms were firmly wrapped around her.
This wasn’t at all how he imagined this conversation going. He could’ve sworn she was mad at him not ten seconds ago.
She smushed her face tight to his side, and Geralt strained to hear what she said next. “Can you at least try to understand that I want to be here? With you?”
It’s bothering her, he thought to himself as he rested his chin on her head. And she’s too stubborn to let it go.
“Can you try to understand that I want you here?” he answered her question with one of his own.
He felt her nod against his chest, which he supposed was enough. Though truth be told, Geralt wasn’t much for changing.
And unfortunately, neither was Orion.
He would never forgive himself for his shortcomings. Day after day, mistake after mistake, Geralt looked back and saw all the ways that he could’ve done better at raising her. He wasn’t used to failing at a job; Vesemir had raised him better than that. And in his eyes, caring for the girl in front of him was the ultimate job.
But he hadn’t been prepared for it.
And Orion would never be able to ignore the feeling that a part of them was missing. A part of Geralt, really. It was something he refused to acknowledge, refused to accept. It would gnaw at him forever until he did, and the idea of that continued to gnaw at her.
This painful circle of lies where one swallowed their truth for the sake of the other was tense and never ending, and it was difficult to pretend that they both weren’t craving something that they desperately needed. For Geralt, a chance to start over. A chance to give Orion the family she should’ve had from the beginning, the one he ripped her from when they left Kaer Morhen. And for Orion, something that would ease Geralt’s mind once and for all.
Years ago, on that day they’d met one another, each of them had been given something new. A different life, a fresh start. It was all they needed back then. But not anymore.
Ignoring it would get them nowhere. It was clear now, even if neither of them could voice it, that something else was needed.
Something more.

(Not my gif)
You make Max exchange phone numbers as he’s leaving your apartment.
“No more showing up uninvited,” you reprimand him, the heel of your palm planted firmly between his shoulder and sternum as you push him into the corridor of your building, “I mean it.”
He cocks his head to one side, lopsided smirk twisting his lips, forehead wrinkling as he lifts his brows, pausing. He’s staring at your still very much flushed and sweaty face. “You sure about that, doll?”
Your skin heats even more. You hate to admit that his smarmy defiance arouses you in ways that it shouldn’t.
“Max. If we’re going to keep whatever this is ongoing, I’m going to need some compliance here. For my privacy.”
Max’s smirk only grows wider and he beams at you, his gaze sliding down your face to your lips, hands raised in surrender. “You mean so I don’t cross paths with him, is that it?” he asks, quirking one of his brows to the side, knowing you’re fully cognizant who he’s talking about. “Fine.”
“Tell me you’re not bullshitting,” you retort.
“Woman,“ Max begins, wagging a finger at you, “I assure you that I am in no way being deceitful.”
He hasn’t wiped that shit eating grin off his face the entire time he’s been standing in front of you, either.
You can’t help but roll your eyes. “Scout’s honor?” you press.
“Scout’s honor,” he replies, lifting his hand in a mocking salute.
You sigh and shove him back another step, his back almost flush with your neighbor’s door.
“Goodbye, Max,” you snip, turning to go back to the comfort of your apartment, when that gnawing southern upbringing decides to make a re-emergence once more, and you remember your manners.
With a sigh, you turn to give him one last glance, your visage softening in its regard. “Thank you, by the way. For the drink.” And you mean it, even if it’s likely all melted and weeping on the table by now.
You almost think you see his own features grow a shade softer, and before you can dwell on it, he’s suddenly shifting back into your space.
Your initial instinct is to flinch, to shove him away, because after Dave and him in a single day, your poor fucked out pussy can’t handle anymore punishment.
But he doesn’t grope or manhandle you. Max’s arms grapple you into a snug embrace, his hot breath fanning over your neck. It’s uncharacteristically soft for Max to show this level of affection and you would hug him back if he wasn’t clamping your arms to your sides.
“Thank you,” he whispers, keeping you ensnared for a few lingering moments before releasing you and taking a step back.
“Yeah… no problem,” you offer awkwardly, because what else do you say to that? “I’ll see you around. I work tomorrow, opening to two.”
Max nods, his usual crooked smirk making a reappearance. “See you then.”
“And hey?”
“Yeah?”
“Be nice to my coworkers. It’s the least you could do,” you remind him.
His smirk doesn’t fade, tongue swabbing the inside of his cheek. “I’ll do my best.”
You snort and shake your head, watching as he disappears down the stairwell.
——
After Max leaves, you spend the remainder of the afternoon and evening wallowing around your apartment, watching bad reality television and trying not to think about… well, anything, pouring yourself some vodka with whatever mixers you can scrounge up until your brain mellows to a welcome numbness.
You order take out for dinner because, fuck saving money at this point. Proceeding the earlier conversation with your mom, you aren’t even sure why you’re trying to get back to Texas anymore.
It’s far easier having several states between you, even if you do miss your grandmother and have a wicked hankering for some barbecue right about now.
You check Facebook periodically anyway, not at all surprised to see your mother asking for prayers and attention from all the faceless online entities because she did not receive the validation she sought from you.
You grumble and toss your phone down every time you read a new ‘woe is me’ comment from your mother and you wonder why you’re even torturing yourself like this.
Belly full of chow mein, you settle down into your bed for the remainder of the evening to distract yourself with some mind numbing television to go along with the buzz you’re feeling.
When your phone lights up, you sigh in indignation, expecting a text from your mother as you swipe open to the notifications.
Much to your delight, it isn’t your mother, and you let out the breath you realize you’ve been holding in.
Dave: Hey, you.
You smile. Relief washes over you as heat simultaneously slithers its way up your spine.
Dave decides to change to split screen, one side with the recorded footage and the other side with the current feed, and he watches as you smile at your phone, steadily stroking himself, his phone vibrating your response a few seconds later.
You: Hey, you. 😜
You: I was beginning to wonder if you’d made it to VA
Dave: Yeah. Long day.
Dave: You made it worth it, though.
You: Doubt that
That makes him chuckle. He knows you know that to not be true.
He continues to stare at you, your gaze glued to your phone as you await his reply. You’re sitting up in bed now, back against the wall, wearing a different but equally revealing top than the thin camisole you had on earlier, blanket pooling in your lap.
The veins in his dick pulse when he ponders if you’re wearing any pants under the covers, and his eyes flick back to the recording of Max eating you out, a soft, breathy moan escaping his lips. The pleasure on your face is telling.
Dave: You do, huh?
Dave: Maybe I should show you, then.
You bite your lip at his response, quickly punching in your reply and hitting send.
You: Aren’t you supposed to be spending time with your kids?
Dave: they’re in bed. It’s late.
His head lifts from the monitor momentarily—only as long as necessary—taking his headphones off to listen for any sounds of wakefulness from the bedroom. When he finds there is none, he turns his attention back to you, freeing himself from his sweats, tugging them down to his knees.
He quickly snaps and sends a photo of his rigid cock, colored a deep shade of mauve at the head, hand fisted at the base, dark curls peeking out from underneath his palm.
You swallow, your walls tightening and mouth watering at the mere sight of it, breath puffing softly past your lips. And you’re almost surprised how turned on you still are, despite the events of the past two days.
Max is just a phone call away, you tell yourself, quickly squashing that thought right out of your brain just as quickly as it arrives. You’d hate to risk having him spend the night with you. Besides, you should probably give yourself a break.
You: Jesus, Dave.
Dave: All for you, baby
Dave: This is what you do to me. I was hard almost the entire way here.
Dave: What are you doing?
You snicker through your nose at the sudden shift in conversation, deciding to play along anyway. Going back to the picture every so often to admire it.
You: Watching TV
Dave: Anything good?
You: Just reruns of 1,000 Lb. Sisters. It’s a good show, you should watch it
Dave: I would watch it with you if I was there.
Dave: if I could keep my hands off of you
Dave: Touch yourself.
You laugh when the conversation takes yet another rapid turn, but you barely give it a second thought the moment you feel your clit throb with need, firing off a response to Dave before breaching the band of your panties with your fingers.
You: Yes sir
Dave: good girl
Dave drags his tongue along his plump lower lip when he sees your hand disappear beneath the covers, his eyes darkening with lust.
Dave: show me
You throw the blanket back and he’s pleased as punch to see you’re only wearing panties. He watches intently as you shuck them off and toss them to the floor.
You open the camera app on your phone and begin recording, doing your best to get the shot right but it’s difficult to see much from your perspective. You take the video anyway.
Breathing softly, you slide two fingers between your folds and sink them into your entrance as far as you can manage, which isn’t enough and will never be enough compared to Dave or Max, before dragging them back out again to display the shiny coating of arousal on your digits for the camera.
You save the video and send it to Dave immediately.
Dave: Fuck
Dave: Can you get a different angle? I need to see it
He almost tells you to prop your phone up on the window sill by the bed, but he doesn’t want to risk you somehow finding out he’s watching you. It’s possible you would think nothing of it, since he has seen the inside of your apartment now, but he’d prefer not to take the chance.
You frown and stop touching yourself, looking around the room in consideration before scooting on your knees over to the window to prop the phone against the pane of glass.
You hit record and maneuver into position, spreading, lifting your eyes to make sure everything is in frame. Shockingly, it is, and this new angle is so visual and obscene that even your OB/GYN would be impressed.
You record a short video of your fingers circling your clit, letting out a soft, salacious moan.
You still feel very much used from Dave and Max in a single day, but you make sure to keep your own touches as light as possible.
You record about ten seconds of yourself and send it to Dave.
Dave: Fuck
Dave: Need to fuck that little pussy full of me
Dave: We’re getting you an IUD and I’m paying for it
Dave: Fuck
His eyes move back to the side with you and Max, at which point you’re cumming on Max’s face, and Dave’s balls tighten with longing. He remembers exactly how you taste when you hit your high, and his mouth waters in remembrance.
Any jealousy he feels is immediately snuffed out by how much he wants you. How much he needs you.
You: I can pay for it
You: [video]
He’s so distracted by watching Max making you cum, his hand pumping himself more rapidly, that he doesn’t realize you were recording again. Your fingers swirl your bud faster, your hips twitching and coming up from the mattress.
Dave: Jesus
Dave: It will be well worth the money to see my cum dripping out of that tight little hole
You: such things you say, Dave
He smirks.
Dave: use a toy
You: How do you know I have one?
Dave: dirty fucking sluts like you always have toys
Dave: do what I say
Arousal floods your core when Dave’s true colors bleed through, even over text. You can practically see his brow pulling into a hard, dark line; see the way his lips curve ever so slightly into a sadistic and hungry smirk.
You don’t dawdle, leaning crossways over your bed to retrieve your favorite toy from your bedside drawer — you have a few accumulated from your time with Jonathan, since he never got you off — a vibrator with a curve at the end for optimal g-spot stimulation.
You: yes sir
You: [video]
You: is this sufficient
Dave receives a video of you clicking on the toy and sliding it teasingly along your slick and swollen labia, pausing periodically at your clit, your moans quiet yet lewd. All for him.
Dave: fuck. Gonna have to fuck you with the toy in you like that
You: I look forward to it sir
Your words send a rush of heat through Dave as his vision subconsciously slips back over to the side with you and Max, who’s now railing into you from behind like a jack hammer, and he damn near cums on that image alone.
He wanted to kill Max for how he had treated you. But now, watching Max bring you pleasure, and how much you appear to be enjoying it, he can’t stop his thoughts from wandering. Would you let both men inside you at the same time? Would you like it?
Would Max take orders from him like a good boy?
That last thought admittedly gives Dave pause and he shakes it from his mind. He had done things in the military, sure, most of the men had, missing their wives and girlfriends. But that was a side of him he hadn’t acknowledged in years, and he shoves it down to the furthest recesses of his brain, returning his focus to you.
Dave: good girl. Now put in and make yourself cum for me
You slide the toy past your opening with little effort, and you’re so worked up it takes almost no time at all before you’re chanting his name. Dave watches, transfixed, pupils dilated and jaw slack, eyes drifting back and forth between the two images on the screen, a cry departing your lips as you reach peak.
You: [video]
You: Mmm wish it was you making me cum though
Almost like serendipity, you cum on the recorded footage at almost the exact same moment as he witnesses it in real time. He can’t hold himself back any longer, and he barely has time to pull his phone back out to record before he’s shooting like a geyser all over his hand and lower abdomen, thick and milky spend dribbling down the backs of his knuckles.
Dave: Fuck
Dave: [video]
Dave: wish this was all over your fucking face instead
You sigh and fall back, panting, opening the last text with a satisfied grin painting your lips as you watch Dave spill down his hand.
You: Rather it inside of me
You place the phone down and crawl off the bed to go clean yourself and your toy in the bathroom, smiling to yourself.
Several states away, Dave heads to the bathroom in his hotel suite to do the same.
But as the high starts to dissipate, your trepidation inexplicably returns, twisting like a knife in your gut. You like Dave. Probably a little too much. And you shouldn’t. Because the day will come when he hurts you, just like Jonathan did.
You do your best to swallow down your doubt and finish cleaning yourself up, traipsing back into the main room to retrieve your panties and slip them back on.
A new text message lights up your phone.
Dave: Soon.
Dave: Can I call you?
Dave sees you sigh and chew at your lip, one of your hands coming up to the back of your neck. You seem unsure.
Your anxiety triggers his own, making him worry if he’s moving too quickly for you.
You: Sure
Now clad only in his sweats, Dave takes in a prolonged breath, hitting the call button. It rings twice before you answer.
“Hi,” you answer quietly.
“Hi,” Dave returns and you can hear the grin in his voice. “Thank you for that. I needed it after today…”
He switches off the recorded footage and goes back to watching just you. You.
You’ve already moved back under the covers, snuggling up with your back facing the window, one arm drawn up under your chin.
“You’re welcome,” you reply after a beat. “I needed it too.”
Oddly enough, you did, despite how many times you’ve already cum today, which was a welcome end to a stressful day.
That makes Dave grin, and he feels a pang of want as he wishes he were there to hold you in his arms, to feel your back pressed up against his chest.
“I miss you,” he confesses with a soft, nervous chuckle. His change in demeanor doesn’t go unnoticed by you — a man of dual natures, an enigma. “Wish you were here.”
He chastises himself silently for saying too much, but it’s true.
You swallow down the coiling anxiety you feel.
“Yeah. That would be great,” you proffer gently. You change the subject as seamlessly as you can. “What are your plans for tomorrow?”
He notices, but doesn’t point it out. “Taking the girls to the aquarium.”
You actually do soften at that. You always loved visiting the aquarium as a kid.
“Oh, how fun! I love aquariums. I know there’s one here… I’ve never been.”
“I’ll take you sometime,” Dave suggests. “We’ll make it a date.”
Your skin heats and you take your welling emotions and stamp them down as deep as you can. “Yeah.”
“What is your favorite marine animal?” Dave randomly asks.
“What, why?”
“Curious.”
You think it over for a moment. “Sharks,” you reply, “I like sharks.”
You hear him chuckle. “Figured you for more of a sea otter type.”
“Sea otters? Do explain, Dave.”
Although you can’t see it, he shrugs. He’s still watching you, fixated on the way your fingers fidget with the covers.
“Women usually like the cute sea animals. And sea otters are cute,” he says.
“Because I’m a woman, I’m not allowed to like things that aren’t, by your definition, ‘cute’? That’s sort of sexist, don’t you think?”
He lets out a quiet laugh. “You’re right. My bad.”
“Your bad? Well, what is your favorite sea animal, then?” you press.
“… Sea otters,” Dave answers without any additional thought, and you can’t control the burst of laughter that erupts from you. It makes his heart vibrate with affection hearing the joy in your voice and watching the way your nose crinkles when you smile.
“Oh, fuck off!” you tease, and he can’t help but laugh along with you.
“You need to go to bed,” you tell him as soon as the laughter dies down.
“What if I’d rather stay up all night talking to you?” he counters.
“Then I imagine tomorrow will really suck,” you quip back.
“It will be worth it.”
“Dave,” you begin in a more earnest tone, “I have work in the morning. Early. We’ll talk tomorrow, okay?”
Talk…masturbate mutually. Either way.
Your buzz is starting to wear off. Dave sees you rub at your eyes as you reach for your cigarette pack with the other, lighting it up and taking a long drag.
He knows you’re guarded and he supposes he understands why. He hopes you’ll let your walls down sooner than later.
“Okay,” he sighs in resignation. “But I’ll be thinking about you all day tomorrow.”
You tap the growing head of ash against the edge of the empty plant tray you’ve been using as a makeshift ash tray.
“Me too. Goodnight. Have fun tomorrow, alright?”
“Yeah. I’ll try,” Dave replies honestly, and you exchange your goodbyes before hanging up.
He continues to watch you. And not just until you’ve finished your cigarette or gotten out of bed to — presumably — have one final pee.
He watches you plug up your phone and set your alarm. He even watches you as you curl into a fetal position, clutching one of your extra pillows against your torso, and he wishes it was him instead.
Soon, he reminds himself.
He doesn’t stop watching until he’s sure you’re completely asleep. And even then he lingers, only stopping when one of the girls — his youngest, Alice — rouses from sleep in absolute hysterics, loud enough to wake the dead. Something she had started doing around the start of the divorce process.
He sighs, slipping back into dad mode, swiping a hand over his sleep weary face as he shuts his laptop down and heads to the bedroom.
——
Like clockwork, Max is at The Beanery around 7:30 AM for his morning caffeine fix.
You’re grateful that it’s slow and that Audrey and Vincent are in the back room folding boxes and chattering away about god only knows what. Almost like you’d planned it that way. Like you gave them each monotonous side work on purpose.
You knew Audrey was working today and you wanted to stave off the inevitability of admission that you don’t really have the power to ban Max as long as you could. Or resist him, for that matter.
You’re also grateful that Audrey was able to hide your hickies and bruises using the expensive foundation she brought to work just for you, at your insistence, with the incentive that she could leave two hours early with pay today. A decision that would probably bite you in the ass later.
You didn’t tell her who or what they were from and she didn’t ask.
You receive a text from Dave mere moments before the chimes hanging over the door signal Max’s arrival, causing your blood to heat and your skin to pebble.
It’s an image of Dave in a steamy bathroom, fully nude, hand curled around the base of his stiffened cock, with the caption: Wish you were here
You respond with a very underwhelming selfie in your work cap and apron, to which he replies almost immediately: You’re fucking adorable
You can’t help the heat that crawls up your cheeks.
You slip your phone back into your apron and start cleaning the espresso machine when Max traipses in, strolling up to the counter like he owns the place.
Or like he owns you, more like it.
“Morning,” you greet, and the remaining traces of your flustered state swell once again the moment you see Max in his primped and tailored three piece, donning a flashy paisley red tie. You don’t think you’ve ever seen him not adorned in a suit, aside from when he’s naked.
“Your usual?” you query, starting on his Americano before he even has a chance to respond.
“Morning,” Max parrots, smirking as his eyes bore into you. “And add whatever you want for yourself, sweetheart.”
He’s certainly starting off early today, isn’t he?
“That isn’t necessary,” you say.
“It wasn’t a suggestion,” he tuts and slams his card down in front of you. When you go to retrieve it, he reaches out to grip your wrist gently, and your eyes snap up to meet his.
He can see the affect he’s already having on you just by proximity alone, his cock already growing rigid in his pants.
“Thanks,” you squeak out and ring up Max’s drink and yours with your free hand, running the card and handing it back to him.
“Good girl,” he purrs in a rich timbre. “I couldn’t stop thinking about you last night.”
And he really couldn’t. He doesn’t oft have a habit of bringing women to his place, opting for theirs or someplace else instead, but he couldn’t stop thinking about you in his bed, waking up next to him that morning so he could make you sing his praises first thing.
“Let me get your drink…” you tell him, attempting to take a step away, but his grip on your wrist holds true, tightening infinitesimally, thumb circling your pulse point.
Max leans forward, a single elbow rested on the countertop. “Or,” he suggests, his voice low and barely an octave above a whisper, “you can meet me in the bathroom in two minutes.”
His eyes flash and he releases you, shooting you a stilted grin before heading to the small bathroom in the corner.
At first, all you can do is gape in disbelief, your jaw slack. Did Max Phillips really just come into your place of business and ask you to meet him in the bathroom?
You turn to listen to the sounds coming from the back room; Audrey and Vincent seem to be prattling on about something, oblivious.
You sigh and resign yourself to curiosity, to self torture, checking to see that the coast is clear.
“Hey, Vince, listen for the front, please. I… I’ll be right back,” you call out and take in another prolonged breath.
“10-4, dinosaur!” Vince chimes back and you roll your eyes, rounding the corner of the counter and heading over to the bathroom.
As you approach, the door swings open and Max pulls you inside before you can even reach for the handle.
He barely gives you time to react before he’s locking the door and crowding into you, pushing you back against the wall and pinning you as his hips grind your thigh hard. He starts to grab at you, everywhere, pawing at your clothes, your body. His mouth finds your neck and when his teeth start to bear down, you protest weakly.
He doesn’t listen; or maybe he’s just so overwhelmed with his desire to be inside of you that he’s lost any semblance of composure.
It doesn’t take you long to realize you don’t want to do this here. Not at work and not when your body needs a break, still so sore and overwrought from the last couple of days, and you attempt to push him away. He only pushes right back, unwilling to hear your pleas, because he thinks it’s what you would want.
“Max,” you groan and you feel your resolve slipping although you shouldn’t, “not here.”
“Come on baby,” Max growls, gently nipping at your earlobe, “let me inside of you.”
He pins your arms above your head at the wrists with one of his hands while the other begins to undo your belt, moving swiftly, his breathing desperate and heady.
He hasn’t been able to get you out of his mind for two whole days and pining over a woman isn’t something Max Phillips does.
Your resolve is rapidly waning and just about gone, arousal welling up within you. But with your last remaining shred of dignity, you’re able to shove him away and grit out, “Max, lavender,” your safe word.
Part of you expects to be ignored regardless, as Max has a habit of doing whatever the fuck he wants, and what you suspect to be very few morals. To your surprise, however, he does stop.
He releases you and takes a tentative step back, lips parted, hurt and uncertainty twisting his features. With nothing to say, at least for a few brief seconds.
His eyes meet yours and he lifts his hands in surrender, a frown creasing his brows. “Fine. That’s fine. I just figured since you came in here…”
“Max, shut up,” you say as you step towards him and you’re the one undoing his belt this time, positioning him with his back to the sink. “I just didn’t wanna— I mean, I want a break, but let me just… do this instead,” you further explain as you successfully get everything undone, sinking to your knees in front of him.
Understanding settles over Max and he nods, eyes growing a shade darker as he watches you finagle his slacks and boxers down, hardening cock springing free after a moment.
Of course none of the tile on the floor is even, so you have to adjust slightly to prevent the edges from digging into your knees and make yourself more comfortable, your hands sliding down Max’s thighs as you look up at him through your lashes.
He gently places a palm atop your head, fingers curling into your hair. “That’s it, doll. Be my good girl, now.”
He has to stifle the loud moan that reverberates from his lungs as you spit directly onto his shaft and grip him in your fist to begin slowly jacking him off, swiping the flat of your tongue up his length, his entire body vibrating.
You pause at the head, circling it, lapping at the pearl of precum that collects at the slit. He grasps your hair with a firmer hold, tugging at the roots.
“Don’t be a… fucking tease… or I’ll fuck you anyway,” he warns and in spite of yourself, you moan, and almost break.
You grin to yourself and take him deeper into your mouth, still holding him steady with one hand at the base as you adjust to his size, slowly pistoning your head forward and back.
“That’s it. Ohhh yes, good girl, sweetheart, good girl,” Max pants softly.
You slide your tongue along the underside of his dick, pausing at the fold of skin at the head as you rock forward, causing his hips to shudder and you eventually bottom out.
He grunts and grips the back of your neck, holding you flush against his groin, the dark and manicured thatch of hair tickling at your nose.
You can smell and taste the soap he uses; woodsy and light, nothing over the top nor underwhelming, but he’s as clean and well groomed as you would expect a pretentious man like Max to be.
He releases you when your eyes start to water and you murmur a noise of protest, allowing you to take a short break for air.
“Come now, darling, you can do better than that,” he notes with a small pout.
You nod in agreement and wet your lips, placing your hands on his hips as you take him back into your mouth and his head rolls back with a sigh, hands going to either side of your face.
You bottom out again and manage to hold better this time, hollowing out your cheek bones and breathing through your nostrils, relaxing your jaw and throat as you do so.
“Good girl… good… fucking girl,” he praises, nary louder than a whisper, running his fingertips along your scalp.
You tremble at the attention, moaning as you taste more precum dribbling onto your tongue, bobbing your head faster—as fast as you can—to get the job done as expeditiously as possible.
He groans and grasps your cheeks tighter, stilling your movements, holding you exactly where he wants you, and without any prior warning, starts rutting into your mouth.
“That’s right, that’s right… you can take it, can’t you? You can take it,” he growls, and there’s little else you can do but let him use your body as he wishes.
You can get the job done quickly but Max can get it done faster, knowing you’re on a time crunch.
You slacken your muscles as much as you can, as much as your body will allow, breathing through your nose and trying not to gag, especially considering you can feel and hear him nearing his release.
He starts to sputter what mostly sounds like nonsense words to you, gripping your cheeks and neck tightly in his large hands, rutting into your mouth with wreckless abandon and all you can do is sit there with the uneven tile digging into your tender knees and take it, letting go of his thighs to find purchase on the vanity behind him.
Finally, his hips begin to catch and then eventually seize, and with a low, guttural growl he spills hot and thick into your mouth, and you accept everything he has to offer you, swallowing it all with ease.
“Good girl… good girl…” he puffs, chanting your name softly on his tongue.
You milk him of every last feasible drop and a line of spittle connects you as you pull away, bringing your hand up to swipe at your mouth and breaking the string in the process.
He’s still panting as he helps you to your feet; you move to step to the sink so you can clean your face and rinse out your mouth. Without warning, Max grabs you once more, different than only a moment ago, ensnaring you in another tight hug and pushing you against the wall.
“Max… hey—“
He hasn’t even pulled his pants up yet. He squeezes you, lips ghosting over your skin as he presses his nose to the soft space between your neck and skull, inhaling your scent. And just… holds you like that, in an embrace, not at all dissimilar to yesterday.
“Thank you,” he whispers against the shell of your ear, and you’re once again struck with his sporadic shift in demeanor.
“Uhh… you’re welcome,” you reply and he breaks the hug, a single hand coming up to cradle your jaw, thumb dragging your bottom lip as he stares at it, contemplative and fixated.
“Are you sure you don’t want me to return the favor?” Max asks.
“Um… no… I need to clean up and get back out there,” you explain, causing his hand to drop from your face.
“Yeah. Yeah, right,” he says, almost appearing crestfallen — almost — as he tucks himself and his shirt back into his work slacks, buckling his belt and giving himself a cursory once over in the mirror.
You turn away and ignore him as you smooth down your clothes, splash some water over your face and rinse out your mouth and when you’ve determined you don’t look super fucked out, you confirm with Max that you’re each composed enough, giving him one last glance as you step out.
You feel fingertips against the small of your back, almost like he wants one last point of contact with you before you have to go back to the real world.
And what you both step into is a sea of chaos, the lobby now bustling with people needing their various morning addictions, and you cast Audrey and Vincent an apologetic glance as you rush over to assist them.
God, you really need a cigarette and a stiff drink.
They pass each other a look when they see you and Max coming out of the bathroom together and you inwardly sigh because you had hoped you could keep all of this on the down low. Well, that plan was pretty much out the window now. And there was no saving it.
Max stands to one side and waits patiently as you rush through making his drink, passing it to him when you’re done and your skin burning as you feel his gaze dwelling on you one last time before he dips out for the day.
The rush stays steady for about an hour and you’re actually kind of thankful for it, as it helps to keep your focus off of everything that’s happened recently.
——
You’re walking home when your phone buzzes with a new text.
You take in a breath and fish your phone from your purse, hoping it isn’t your mother. Wishing it isn’t her. She had already texted you earlier that day to let you know Garrett was out of jail, no thanks to you, and you made a point of ignoring it.
You expect another dramatic text from your mother as you’re opening your phone, but you’re relieved to see it’s from Dave this time, thank god.
You open the text to see an image of Dave crouched down in front of the jaws of a rather large shark, Alice perched on his knee and Mollie standing to one side, all three of them smiling for the camera. You try not to let the sweetness and normalcy of it affect you, and you can hardly believe that this is the same man who had practically broke you and stitched you back together multiple times.
You: looks fun
A few minutes later you receive more texts, popping up as you get close to your apartment’s wifi. The first is a video of the girls in front of a shark tank, babbling at a nurse shark, and then a second video of a reef shark swimming overhead in a tunnel, with the caption: sharks for you
You: Cool. I love them! See any sea otters?
Dave: no 🙁 But we saw penguins! 😍
You cover your mouth with your hand as you snicker at his reply, typing in a quick response.
You: Penguins? How feminine.
Dave: Okay smartass
You: Just dishing out some of what you were serving last night, Dave
Dave: Watch it, sweetheart, or you’ll really see what I can dish out when I get home
You: Promise? 😜
As you enter your apartment building and Dave texts back with I would love nothing more, you try to keep reminding yourself you aren’t falling for him.
——
With the girls dropped off safely with Carol, at the house which is still in his name, that he still pays for, Dave shoots you a quick text before pulling away.
Dave: I’ll be back in town in a day or two. I have a work thing
He fishes out a burner phone and punches in the address for your ex, Jonathan, who lives on Long Island. Which is good — perfect, really — as it’s en route back to Boston. A quick rendezvous there to take him out and then straight home. Or what he could consider his home, nowadays.
You make it feel like home to him.
The hit shouldn’t take long. It was an ideal situation, if he was being honest. The woman Jonathan had left you for had pulled the same trick on him as he had on you, leaving him high and dry after he had up and moved states, and now he lived alone in a small garage apartment at the back of a property that was flanked on all sides by woods.
Perfect.
He would be arriving long after nightfall, and he would bide his time in the woods until it was late enough to slip in and out undetected.
Dave did not care that Jonathan really wasn’t a bad person, aside from being the asshole who broke your heart. He couldn’t give two shits, really. He only wanted to take retribution for Jonathan’s slights against you, on your behalf, because you were too kind and gentle to do it yourself.
As he pulls onto the highway to begin his journey north, he can’t get your beautiful face out of his mind.
——
It turns out Jonathan is a night owl.
Dave has been in the trees at the perimeter of the property for hours. A single window at the back of the apartment shines a pale yellow, denoting lingering wakefulness from his mark. It’s the only available illumination aside from a lone street lamp near the front of the property.
And aside from his phone. He’s been watching you off and on all night, to pass the time. You’re alone, and have been for days now. You haven’t had Max — or anyone else for that matter — in your bed since the last encounter, which means you stopped seeing Max entirely or you had simply taken to fucking elsewhere. Max’s apartment?
He isn’t sure which, yet.
Currently, Jonathan is getting stoned and painting. Dave is far from being an art expert, but even from his vantage he can see the strokes on the canvas are broad and messy; calling it abstract would be a stretch. Infantile, maybe. He couldn’t have been the artist of the painting you have hanging in your apartment—the style and technique just wasn’t right.
He wonders, not for the first time, if you were a gifted artist as well as being a gifted writer.
Jonathan orders a pizza at 9:09 PM and it’s delivered at exactly 10:00 PM. He spends an hour eating, his motor skills slowed due to being so fried, attempting to masturbate after that — much to Dave’s abject disgust — gives up, and goes back to painting.
Dave can feel his patience growing thinner by the second. You’ve already retired to bed so he no longer has anything to occupy his mind as he waits. He would prefer to strike while Jonathan is sleeping, but it’s either now or never; anything close to daybreak would be too risky.
Given up on being discreet, he slinks like a cat out of the woods at around 12:30 AM, head on a constant swivel, gun holstered at his hip in case he needs it. He’s hoping he doesn’t.
He’s opted for the more difficult to trace route as the actual means of execution — a syringe with 100mg of potassium chloride, the same drug used in prisons — tucked away neatly in the pocket of his black hoodie.
The nearer Dave draws to the apartment, the louder the indie rock music Jonathan is blaring becomes, a band Dave doesn’t recognize. That’s a good thing, though, it will work in his favor when he picks the lock at the front of the building, arguably the riskiest part of this entire mission, due to its proximity to the street.
He reaches the second story landing and pulls his lock picking kit from said hoodie, adjusting the black beanie away from his eyes as he finds the right tools. He manipulates them into the lock, ear pressed to the thin door so he can better hear what he’s doing.
The music continues, and so far as Dave can tell, he hasn’t been detected.
He pops the lock within minutes and the door slowly shimmies open, his hand going to his hip on instinct as he pushes the door the rest of the way with the toe of his boot.
He’s met with a short entryway that veers off to a dimly lit living room. So far, Jonathan hasn’t noticed him. He’s on another planet entirely—exactly where Dave wants him. Thank god for brain altering substances.
Dave stalks forward and soon arrives at the opening of the main living space which is littered with various articles of trash and other clutter, skillfully dodging as much as he can so as to not alert his presence, or give detectives anything to go on.
What he finds is Jonathan hunched in front of a canvas, paintbrush perched between nimble fingers, painting god knows what, because Dave sure can’t tell, his back facing him. The sheer abundance of luck at his mark being in such a vulnerable and unawares position is so goddamn sexy Dave can hardly keep his dick in check at the presentation.
But even with Jonathan being as preoccupied as he is, it would be imprudent to dawdle, so he doesn’t.
He quickly closes the space between the two of them, one arm coiling like a large python around Jonathan’s throat and the other disabling his limbs.
Jonathan looses a low bellow, most of which is drowned out by the music and the reduced flow of oxygen to his lungs, nearly knocking over the easel the canvas sits on in his rush of panic, but thankfully does not. In Dave’s experience working cases for the CIA, signs of struggle are often harder to hide than one would think.
He attempts to fight back, body trying to twist away, but Dave is larger, stronger and more experienced in disarming than Jonathan is in fighting…well, anything…so it isn’t as difficult as Dave had feared it would be.
It isn’t exactly a cake walk either, and Dave knows he needs to get him to the ground as soon as possible to fully disable him, arm tightening around Jonathan’s throat as he wrestles the smaller man to the floor. He puts Jonathan in a sleeper hold, adding a second arm for leverage and bringing a leg up to ensnare his lower half.
“Just let it happen. Let it happen and it will be easier,” Dave grits against the shell of his ear. “Don’t fight me.”
He doesn’t listen, of course, hellbent on breaking the grapple, and failing. That pesky self preservation always did aggravate Dave as much as it excited him.
Jonathan’s vision starts to blot away, music fading to a low and persistent hum, his body finally giving in to the asphyxiation now that the adrenaline was a fleeting thing.
This is exactly what Dave needed to happen, and as he feels Jonathan’s body growing slack in his clutches, he removes the syringe from his pocket, biting the lid off and grasping it between his teeth as he readies the needle.
It isn’t hard to find a vein due to Jonathan’s heightened sense of agitation and panic, inserting the needle into the soft flesh of his neck and sinking the plunger before he can struggle away, flooding his bloodstream with the full dose of potassium chloride.
Within moments, attempts to free himself devolve to little more than faint body tremors, and Dave doesn’t release him until his body has fallen completely motionless and limp in his arms.
He checks Jonathan’s pulse a moment later and when he’s satisfied he’s gone, he drags the corpse to the recliner on the opposite end of the room, manipulating him into a position that makes it appear as if Jonathan succumbed to cardiac arrest.
Once done, he finds Jonathan’s cellphone and begins to thumb through the recent calls and text messages.
He finds you in there, as well as a string of messages to you begging your forgiveness and for your return, which have gone wholly unanswered by you. Dave smiles to himself. You must have blocked him after the breakup. Good.
He knows there’s a very real chance cops will question you regardless. But Dave decides to delete the messages and any other snippet of information he can find about you in Jonathan’s phone anyway, just to be safe.
As he repockets the empty syringe, he gives the room a final comb to ensure that not even a hair is out of place. When he determines everything is satisfactory, and that he hasn’t left behind any evidence or traces of DNA, he turns to make a hasty retreat.
He leaves the apartment exactly as he found it, making sure to lock the door behind him, leaving nothing out of place, no loose ends unraveled.
He jogs down the stairs and makes the mile long trek through the woods to return to where his car is parked, working up a sweat even with the cooler air but not at all concerned about it, pulling the beanie off and tossing it to the passenger floorboard when he finally makes it to the car.
Palming himself through his dark jeans, he pulls onto the road, with you being the only thing on his mind as he begins the arduous six hour journey home to see you. You.
And he can barely fucking wait.

Please Fix the Story - pt 31 The Void Between - END
Last part. (Although I do plan for at least one or two side parts. One definitely from Liam's perspective. Maybe one from Adonis if I feel like it).
Guys, I started this story forever ago. Took a huge break when my life fell apart. I picked up the pieces, and never really thought I would get back to doing the things I love again. But here I am. Finishing this story. I'm so excited.
Please enjoy.
Masterpost linked here.
________________________________
“System!” I shouted into the white void, one hand still holding Liam’s tightly. “Stop hiding!”
THUD
Adonis had fallen to the ground, released from my power that had bound him. He stood up shakily, wiping a small amount of blood from the corner of his mouth. “Where did you take me?” He demanded angrily. “Where is this place?”
“This?” I looked around with a slight smile. “This place is the End.”
“The End?”
I thought for a moment. “Or perhaps the Beginning? It depends on your point of view, I suppose.” I gestured around at the blank whiteness around us “This is the void between, outside of the lower and higher realms, outside of stories. There is nothing here... nothing except memories.”
Liam stood protectively near me. “Where is the System?”
“It’s here. It’s watching. It just doesn’t want to admit that it lost. It views me as weak, pointless…”
Blue flames streaked out from out of sight towards my head. Sensing the magical attack, I dodged and waved a hand, countering it with my own power.
“YOU MUST ACCEPT YOUR FATE”  The bright blue words briefly appeared in the void, then disappeared just as fast, leaving nothing but an afterimage behind.
“BEL!” Liam had fallen when I dodged, and reached towards me, panicked.
“It’s okay. That was just a test.” With a grunt of pain, I stood back up again. “REALLY?” I spoke out again. “A sneak attack? Are you really that pathetic?” There was no answer, the System was hiding again.
“Hey!" Adonis had recovered from his shock, and resumed being a pest. “Bel! Tell me what’s going on, now!”
I didn’t even look in his direction. “No.”
“What?! What do you mean, no?!”
"I mean: 'No'." Still looking for any trace of the System, I cast a sympathetic glance towards Liam. “Poor guy.”
Liam caught on quick. “Don’t worry, Bel, I’ll help him!” He cleared his throat, turning towards the enraged hero. “’No’ is an English word used to give a negative response. In this case, the word ‘no’ would indicate a refusal to your request for more information. Similar sounding words, such as ‘know’ with a ‘k’ can sometimes be confused depending on the context clues, but that word is generally used to indicate knowledge rather than refusal. So if she had said ‘I know’ instead…”
“SHUT UP!” Adonis screamed, swinging at fist at Liam, who let him punch him in the chest without any apparent pain. Adonis instead withdrew his hand with a screech, one of his fingers clearly bent at a weird angle.
“Your chest breaks fingers?” I asked with a raised brow.
Liam pulled his collar down, showing off a coat of black scales with a grin. “Dragon skin is tough. Also known as the ‘idiot-tax’.”
During this exchange, I continued searching with my power, trying to feel the system’s presence. “Seems fair.”
“Why is it hiding?” Liam asked quietly.
“It doesn’t want to face the truth.” At my answer, Adonis stopped groaning and looked insulted.
“Why do you answer HIS questions and not MINE?”
“Because he’s my husband… and you’re annoying.” I turned to Liam. “Are you curious?”
Liam smiled at my question. “Very.”
“Then I’ll explain it to you as we go.” I looked around again, sensing that the System had hid itself. “It’s hiding within this space, and so I’ll need to force it out. Since it wants to hide the truth, I’ll show exactly that: the truth."
My power swept around us, filling everything.
"It all started here. In this void.”
The world around us changed, showing infinite portals, each leading to a new world, glowing with various degrees of golden light.
“There are infinite stories, and therefore infinite lower realms.  Some are stable, filled with energy… some are unstable, collapsing, draining energy from the realms around it.” As I spoke, some of the weaker portals flickered and died. “Each time a world collapsed, the entirety of the lower realms was at risk, a collapse of a universe of worlds and people.”
The golden light of the portals coalesced, forming a vague being of bright blue light. “The System came into being. It's exact origin is unclear. Was it created, another product of the authors or gods beyond our existence that write the stories? Was it just a random event, too much energy organizing into a sentient being?” I stepped closer to the glowing blue figure, staring up at it. “It’s impossible to know. But I do know one thing:”
The figure peered into a portal as it flickered and disappeared. It stared at the empty space for a few moments before shrugging and moving on to the next. “The System isn’t human. It has no understanding of human emotions, motivations, or relationships. It can read the stories, it can see the unfulfilled wishes of the author, but it cannot truly understand why some stories worked and others collapsed.”
Adonis stared at the figure I showed them, a look of frustration and anger creeping across his face. Liam watched with curiosity. They both stayed silent, however, and the System stayed in hiding, so I continued the story.
“The system depends on the survival of the lower realms, but it could not figure out how to save the stories that were disappearing. So it looked for a human partner, someone who could help it figure out what to do.”
The world around us changed again, and we were standing on a college campus. It was a bright sunny day, with students milling about, chatting, laughing, carrying books. We stood in the midst of everything, unseen by the people around us, unable to touch or affect anything we could see. Adonis, recognizing the area, turned pale, trembling as he stood rooted in place. “No.” He whispered. “This is impossible. This isn’t real.”
I smiled at him, but it wasn’t a pleasant expression. “Of course it isn’t real. This is a memory of the System. No one can travel to this lower realm anymore. It’s destroyed… thanks to you.”
“NO.”
As I searched the memory around us, I could sense the memory... and the System... nearby. “Let’s go.” I grabbed Liam’s hand and ran forward, rushing through the crowds, following the lead that only I could feel. After a brief hesitation, Adonis ran after us.
“The system sensed that someone had broken free from the confines of a story.” I spoke as we moved. All around us there were college students milling about, talking laughing with carefree attitudes. “What had been stable, had become broken, and it was all because of a single individual.”
I pulled Liam to a stop in front of two people, studying both of the figures in the memory with interest.
One was a handsome young man with a playful grin and long hair pulled back with a cord. He was facing another young man, who looked extremely angry.
The other young man was Adonis.
As we looked back and forth between the Adonis in the memory and the one that had followed us through the void, the Adonis next to Liam and I stepped closer, staring at his doppelganger with a weary, contemptuous expression.
“She loves me!” The memory Adonis spoke out. “Stop getting in the way!”
“You know that isn’t right, Adler.” The young man answered with a sigh. “Just because you two grew up together, doesn’t give you ‘dibs’ on her. You two are friends. Ara is my girlfriend.”
Liam raised an eyebrow as we watched the scene around us play out. “Adler?”
“His real name.” I glanced over at Adonis, who looked away. “He changed it to Adonis after he left this lower realm.”
“He CHOSE Adonis?”
“He thought it sounded more heroic.”
“Poor guy.”
“Save your pity.” I pointed back to the memory around us, where Adonis continued to argue with the other college student. Eventually, a young woman walked up, giving a hug to the other man and eyeing Adonis warily.
“Bel…?” Liam sounded concerned and confused, and I didn’t’ blame him.
After all, the woman looked just like me.
It wasn’t exact. There was a bright cheery innocence that this girl carried around her. A naivete, as if she would  believe whatever someone told her. Nice, but gullible. She very much lacked my distrustful glares and heavy sarcasm. But the face, body, hair…. All of the outer features were the same.
“It’s not me.” I reassured Liam, who watched the girl with my appearance kiss the college student with a low disgruntled growl. “It’s Arabella. The heroine of this lower realm.”
Adonis stared intently at the woman, obsession in his eyes. “MY heroine.”
“Nope. Not yours. Because you weren’t the hero of your story, were you, Adonis?”
The argument between the three in the memory grew heated. Adonis… Adler… tried to grab Arabella’s hand, and she pulled away with a frustrated expression.
“You were the friend, the side character, the witness to the main romance of the story. But you were unwilling to play that role… to accept your fate.”
“IT WAS NOT MY FATE!” Adonis reached out, but his hand passed through the memory of Arabella. “I WAS THE HERO! I WAS THE ONE SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO LOVE!”
The Adonis in the memory had gone quiet. He reached into his coat, and pulled out a long knife, lunging forward, stabbing the young man and woman in front of him. Only when they were still on the ground, their bodies soaking in the blood pooling beneath them did he seem to recognize what he had done. He fell to his knees, screaming, as the world around his began to distort.
“You broke the story, killed the hero and heroine… and this caught the attention of the System.”
A glowing blue figure appeared in front of the blood-stained Adonis, words appearing around him.
"YOU HAVE THE POWER TO CHANGE THE STORY."
I looked down at the dead body on the ground with the same face as me, letting out a quiet sigh. “The two of them made a deal. Adonis would be pulled out of the lower realm, become a higher being. He would help the System in fixing the broken lower realms.”
The Adonis in the memory considered for a brief moment, and nodded. As he and the System disappeared, the world they had left behind began to collapse.
“There’s always a cost, though. If you take someone out of a lower realm… the realm is destroyed as a result.” My eyes met Adonis’ as he watched the memory of the deal he made with a dispassionate gaze. All the emotion that had boiled over at the sight of Arabella had faded, and there was nothing, not even remorse. “You knew you were destroying the world if you left. And you did it anyways.”
“They did nothing for me.” His voice was quiet, but vitriol in it was clear. “I should have been the hero of that world… they didn’t deserve survival.”
“Just like Arabella deserved death for not loving you?” At my question his eyes flickered, but he quickly regained calm. “She didn’t die. After all, you’re here, aren’t you?”
“I’m not Arabella, Adonis. No matter the physical resemblance.” I smiled. “I’m something much more…”
Another blast of blue flames again came towards me. I pushed back with my own power, defending myself. My magic swept through from the direction the blast had came from, trying to strike back, but it had already disappeared once again.
“Oh you didn’t like that, did you? Are you mad enough to stop hiding, or should I keep talking?”
There was only silence in response. I chuckled grimly, continuing the story.
“Adonis was the one who thought of binding the lower realms to the higher realms. By having the heroes of the lower realms be connected to Adonis, by having him control them and their endings through these ties he called fate, he thought he could influence all of the stories at once, helping them reach a happy ending.” I paused. “How funny that the man who was chosen because he broke free of his fate, chose to bind everyone else even tighter.”
The portals showed up around us again, losing their glow and flickering out at a noticeable pace. “But it didn’t work. The lower realms were failing faster than ever. You contaminated all of the heroes with a part of you, they took on a part of your personality, your obsessive desire with being the center of the universe.”
I thought of all the heroes I had met in the lower realms, how they reacted with the story around them changed. Even kinder heroes like K’lliean in the elven world had shown signs… he almost cracked and tried to force me to be with him when he sensed me pulling away. They all had pieces of Adonis forced on them, tying them to an even worse fate then the broken stories once had.
“Out of desperation, Adonis suggested a new plan. It wasn’t enough to have a prototype ‘hero’ to bind everyone to. They needed a new prototype, a second higher level being.” I hesitated, seeing the realization and pain on Liam’s face but forcing myself to continue. “They needed a villain.”
The world around us changed again, and now we were in a beautiful green world with bright open skies. The System remained hidden, so I continued talking, hoping to goad it into showing itself once again.
“Adonis had always been a fan of fairy tales. Knights, princesses, and the evil monster that kidnapped her: the dragon.”
Dragons flew overhead with roars that shook the earth below. The world was filled with the mighty creatures, flying, fighting, sleeping. Simply existing in this beautiful realm. And right next to us was a large silver dragon, patiently teaching a smaller black one.
Liam stepped closer, tears running down his face. “Grandfather.” His hand passed through the larger form, his hand tightening into a fist.
“They searched though all of the lower realms with dragons, and within one found a young black coated dragon that they felt could be molded into what they needed.”  I continued to speak, watching Liam closely. “The System tried to offer a deal, promising power and domination over all the lower realms.”
A blue figure pulled the small dragon away, obviously trying to convince it of something. The young dragon shook his head in response.
“But the dragon said no. He loved his world, his family. He didn’t want to leave, no matter what was offered to him.”
The dragon was enveloped in blue fiery light, disappearing with an inhuman screech of terror. The world around us, similar to Adonis’ world before it, crumpled into itself, fading away into nothing.
My voice dropped to a whisper. “The price of removing someone from the lower realms is always the same, whether they want to leave or not. The young dragon’s world… his family… was destroyed.” I reached out and hugged Liam, who was wracked with silent sobs as he watched his home realm disappear.
“I’m sorry.” I tightened my arms around him, feeling a deep pain within as he slowly composed himself. I was using this story to push the System, to make it angry enough to appear. But I had another motive as well. I wanted Liam to understand everything. To see this. He had the right to know the full truth.
The truth of what I was.
The picture around us faded, showing the young black dragon now in the Villain’s realm, surrounded by forest. He looked around, obviously lost and confused.  Words appeared in the sky before him.
YOU ARE THE VILLAIN.
The dragon shook his head no.
YOU MUST ACCEPT YOUR FATE.
A portal appeared and chains shot out, binding the dragon and dragging it into a lower realm. The sight was heartrendingly familiar, and I had to take a deep breath, steadying myself to continue.
“They tried to mold the dragon into the villain they needed. The plan was to force the dragon into multiple realms, placing him as the villain of the story. If he refused to play his part? The realm would be destroyed. The dragon was too kind hearted, and eventually became resigned to sacrificing himself, story after story, realm after realm. Saving the realms but losing himself. The system tied the dragon to the villains of the lower realms, in the bonds of fate, but if anything, that made things even worse.”
The portals in the void reappeared, now most of them becoming unstable and flickering, even previously brightly glowing ones were slowly becoming dim.
“Your plans had brought this whole universe to the brink of destruction, and still Adonis refused to believe that his strategy was wrong. It’s just that the prototype story… the higher realm story… was incomplete.”
I turned towards Adonis, who was glaring at me with unbridled rage. “The knight, the dragon… and now you needed the princess. You were a hero missing your heroine. And so, you told the System to bring you your heroine.”
“Don’t…” Adonis finally spoke up again, but the word was forced out between clenched teeth.
“What? Don’t tell the truth?” I shook my head. “It’s not your secret to hide. It’s my truth to tell.”
“Stop!” He rushed forward, but my dark power wrapped around him again, holding him in place.
“Shush. I’m trying to explain my mysterious origins here.” I sat him down on the ground with my magic, and turned to Liam. I felt nervous, a desperation welling up within me. I wondered as I started to speak again if this is how he felt when I found out he was a dragon. It turned out he didn’t need to worry.
I wasn’t human either.
“Adonis would only accept one heroine.”
“Arabella.” Liam added, watching me carefully.
“Exactly. But that left the system with a problem. Arabella was dead. Even if she survived the stabbing, the entire lower realm had been destroyed by bringing Adonis out. It tried to convince him, but he grew only more desperate. He couldn’t accept the truth.”
I paused, taking a deep breath. “So the system did the only thing it could: it tried to make a new Arabella.”
“But that means…” Liam looked confused, but as realization started to dawn, I ran forward and tackled him.
“GET DOWN!”
The entire space imploded. There was nothing but blue fire, drowning everything. There was no noise, no heat. There was only magic destructive power. It lasted for what seemed like an eternity, and then slowly faded.
I lifted my head. An enormous being was wrapped around me, protecting me. Liam, who had shifted to his dragon form, continued to shield me, his dark blue eyes looking over me carefully, filled with concern, checking for injuries. I withdrew the magic I had used to protect us both, but I still saw a few burned spots in his scales here and there. Touching his scales with a regretful expression, I whispered. “Sorry.”
I had been goading the system, waiting for it to make its move, but as I told Liam the truth, my attention had shifted for a short moment. And in that moment, the System who had been biding its time, made its move.
“As long as you are safe.” Liam’s reply made me smile. We stared at each other for a few moments, both happy the other was okay.
“WHY DIDN’T YOU DESTROY HIM?!” Adonis’ voice destroyed the special moment. At least he's consistently annoying.
Liam rolled his eyes, the expression a bit strange on a dragon. “How did he survive the fire?” He asked me.
I thought it over, and winced. “My bad, my power was already wrapped around him to hold him down when the System attacked… I must have accidentally protected him.”
“It’s okay, we all make mistakes.” Liam nodded solemnly and comforted me.
“Yeah, maybe next time he’ll get burned to a crisp.”
“You know… I am a dragon… I could help us achieve that goal.”
“Tempting…” I started to respond, but Adonis started shouting again.
“System! Now’s your chance! Destroy the monster!” He pointed at Liam, his face triumphant as he commanded him. “And then we can fix Arabella, and start over with a new villain. We will make the story right, correct everything that is wrong, and retie the strings of Fate to save the universe!”
“…” There was something new that had joined us in this space between realms. A vaguely human shaped being made of blue flames. As it spoke, its voice was neither young or old, soft or deep, it was deeply disturbingly inhuman. The words it spoke appeared in front of us, scrawled across the sky, a reminder of its power.
“YOU MUST ACCEPT YOUR FATE.”
“System! Destroy it!” Adonis screamed impatiently.
“…” There was no response.
“It can’t.” I finally spoke up, calmly. “It doesn’t want to risk attacking Liam anymore. It had its only chance with that sneak attack and it failed. Facing me head on… there’s no way it can win easily.”
“I don’t understand. The System… it creates fate… it’s a god!”
“You are the one that doesn’t understand. I know what the System is, Adonis, much better than you do." I took a deep breath.
"After all… I’m a part of it.”
In the silence that followed I heard the soft sound of Liam’s sigh as understanding dawned. My heart beat nervously, but I continued to explain.
“The system couldn’t resurrect Arabella, so it split off some of its own power, a new entity that remained only with a limited connection. It used Adonis’ memories of Arabella as a template, but it could never be exact. From the moment of its creation, the created being would grow and change based on new experiences, meetings… to become something new, beyond the confines of what others wanted.”
“YOU WERE AN ERROR.” The system’s inhuman voice was cold.
“I was the only effective thing you’ve ever done to save the lower realms.” Was my even colder response.
“No… you’re Arabella.” Adonis was stuttering, staring at me with horror.
“You always knew I wasn’t her, Adonis." I sighed. "The only thing I can thank you for was that when the system used your memories of a template, it used data, rather than your perception of her. Rather than a perfect heroine deeply in love with you, it created a young woman with a thirst for adventure and learning… and no romantic interest in you whatsoever.”
The system stepped closer, and Liam’s wings spread out widely, protectively.
“THE DEAL IS INVALID. YOU MUST ACCEPT YOUR FATE.”
“The deal is already done, System. You lost.” I waved my hand, and my power formed into the shape of a sword. It always was my preferred weapon. “If you won’t concede that I won willingly… Then I’ll make you by force.”
As I circled closer, the System stood still, confident. “YOU CANNOT KILL ME. YOU ARE ME!”
I smiled. “That’s where you’re wrong.”
My sword swung, and a limb fell to the ground, disintegrating into blue flame. I held my blade at its neck and it froze.
“I WAS you. But the deals we made changed everything.”
The world around us changed again. The System buzzed with energy, trying to fight it, but I pushed through.
It was time to finish the story.
Liam continued to stand guard, watching Adonis and the System carefully. As my power took over, the world I was showing became clear:
It was me. I was in the villain world, laying on the ground pale and sweating. I was dying.
“After I was created, I only tried to save the lower realms one by one. I refused to listen to Adonis' plans. In his frustration, he tossed me into the villain realm to force me to submit. It was his way of continuing the prototype story. The dragon keeping the princess captive. But Adonis and the System didn’t count on one thing:"
In the vision I showed, Liam in his human form knelt beside me, his expression despairing as he gently wiped the sweat from my forehead. I held his hand, my eyes focused on him and no one else. Adonis stood nearby, ignored by both of us in the memory, watching with a hateful, weary expression.
“I decided I would rather die in the villain realm, die by my husband’s side, rather than submit to the horrible fate you and the System had devised.”
The System in the memory appeared next to human Liam, pushing him aside, and approaching the dying Bel. Liam screamed with fear and rage, trying to return to his dragon form, but was frozen into place half-transformed.
“YOU CANNOT DIE.” The system’s inhuman voice was quiet, but deafening at the same time.
The memory Bel forced a smile. “Better dead and free than trapped by your chains.”
“I CANNOT LET YOU DIE. IT WOULD DESTROY ME, DESTROY EVERYTHING. BUT YOU REFUSE TO LIVE… WE ARE AT AN IMPASSE.”
“Then how about we make a wager?” The weakness in her voice couldn’t hide the determination of her words.
I looked at the System, still held in place at the point of my sword. “So, we made a deal. I would travel the realms, save them, gather the energy from each of the recovered worlds.”
In the memory, blocks of text appeared in front of the dying Bel. She read through the deal with a frown. I watched the vision, shaking my head in frustration.
“The stakes were clear. If I could save enough worlds… could build enough power, separate from the System, I would be able to break free from the ending of this prototype story. To write my own fate. But… if I failed even one… the System would take all the energy I gathered, and I would be forced to submit to the fate designed to me. To be a mindless, soulless heroine, playing her role and nothing else.”
“Foolish.” Adonis was standing, glaring at me with blood shot eyes. Liam growled in response, placing his enormous form between us, but Adonis ignored him, continuing to speak. “You just had to agree to be a heroine, and we could have saved everyone together. Instead, you risked everything, left an unstable universe to try to save it world by world.”
“I chose to remain free. To not enslave these worlds to fate.” The System sensed my distraction and tried to strike, and so I pressed my sword of magic forward, dripping flames from the cut in its shapeless neck.
“The deal was designed for me to fail.” Again the picture around us changed. It was still me, but in many different forms. A student. An assassin. An elf. World after world, flipping faster and faster until it was a visual blur.  “You chose miserable roles for me.  I had no memories, no knowledge of the story except what was provided for me. I was alone… or I was supposed to be.”
Another change. Now the System in the memory was talking with Liam. As he watched the memory, Liam beside me shook his head, as if trying to clear it.
“Liam had nothing the system wanted but his status as a villain. If I lost, he would play the perfect villain. No shortcuts, no mercy for the weak…become a puppet for the system. But the system wanted more.”
Text appeared in front of Liam in the memory. As the nature of the deal became clear, the real Liam beside me let out a moan.
“A sacrifice.” His voice was filled with pain, barely audible. “Every lower realm I had saved in the past by playing my role. How many worlds would that be? Countless lives. Innocents.”
“The System would absorb them for energy if we lost.”
“It asked for my soul. Saving those worlds by letting myself be defeated or killed in those realms was all that I could cling to when I was despairing. If I sacrificed them… “ He paused, his dragon eyes showing despair. “It wouldn’t have to brainwash me to become a villain. I would have already taken that step myself.”
“Liam would be given the chance to follow me. His memories wiped each time. He would have no idea who I was or how to help me. He would as always be the villain in the story. A bad deal.” The Liam in the memory agreed, and disappeared. “ I glanced at Liam beside me. “But you took it anyways, desperate to help me, to stay by my side. Even though you would more likely end up a mindless, soulless slave.”
“I would never abandon you, Bel. Not if there was any chance I could help you.”
"You did." I reassured him. "I had nearly given into despair by the time you joined me. You gave me purpose, helped me forward. I would have been lost, along with everything else." I glanced over at Adonis who was shaking in rage.
“Adonis made a deal too, of course, but much different from ours. He wanted to follow, but wanted his memories, wanted to know the full story. The System only allowed him limited access, into a few worlds. It worried that if Adonis followed me everywhere I would be motivated to resist longer, as I had in the higher realms before.”
Adonis in the memory accepted a deal, and disappeared as well. There was only the system left.
“You thought I would give up, or that I would fail to fix a world. I was supposed to accept my fate. Instead, I refused. I resisted. I fixed every single world I went to. I won. Which brought us back to the higher realm.”
“NO.” The system beside me pushed back with all of its power, erasing the memory I had shown around us. I tried my best to shield Liam and I, but as I concentrated on my own dark magic, I heard someone running up behind me.
“You ruined everything!” Adonis had a knife, trying to slash at my back as he drew closer. The System kept attacking, forcing all of my attention on it. I was helpless to stop the attack from the hero.
Fortunately I wasn't alone.
A dragon tail swung out, knocking Adonis a fair distance where he fell to the ground with a crunch. He lay still, his hand grabbing at the hilt of his knife where it protruded from his side after he landed on it.
“How…?” He touched the blood spilling from the wound, shocked.
“You brought it on yourself.” Liam growled. “Also, why is your only response to rejection stabbing? You seriously need better coping mechanisms.”
I laughed, but couldn’t lose focus on the battle at hand. I turned to the system, who had stopped attacking “Now that this story is done, all bets are complete.” I waved a hand, a wave of dark power covering the void around us.
Liam’s eyes blinked, and then cleared, a sense of timelessness within them. He rubbed his head against me. “Bel. You did it.”
I smiled.  “Thanks to you.”
Adonis had changed as well. His face was pale, then red with anger, then pale again as he continued to lose blood from his side. “You cheated, System! You promised I would keep my memories! How did…”
“It wasn’t the system, Adonis.” I interrupted. “This last story, us repeating the Higher Realm… it was me. I gained power because I wanted a different ending to OUR story, and this is the ending I chose. Not one with me dying in the villain realm, with Liam and I accepting a terrible deal in a desperate attempt to save one another. A better ending.”
Adonis struggled to his feet, sneering. “So what? THIS is it? Your so-called happy ending? You become a villainess instead of a heroine and get to stay in the villain realm with that monster? Big deal.” He spat on the ground, the spit mixed with blood from the wounds on his mouth. “The System and I will find a real heroine. Not a FAKE one like you. We’ll restart the story, and fate will save us all, with the villain and villainess being destroyed!”
I laughed. A true, villainess cackle. It echoed in the vast emptiness of the Void, seeming to go on for ages.
“Why are you laughing?”
“Who told you my goal was to be the villainess?”
The System began flickering, like a candle going out.
“YOU MUST ACCEPT…”
“My goal was to be the new System.” I swung the sword in my hand, and the already fading system fell to pieces. “To destroy fate itself.”
The last of the blue flames fizzled out with a soft sound. If an inhuman machine-like existence could sigh with relief, I would have sworn that is what I heard. The System was gone.
There was only me left.
Adonis screamed at my actions. “WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?”
“I gained enough power in my travels to be fully independent of the System. That is why it feared me. Why it tried to destroy me in the end. But now its gone. As is your foolish fate.”
“Every realm will be destroyed! Without a prototype… without a guide… all of those worlds will be lost!”
“No Adonis.” I stepped closer to him, and he shuddered in fear at the power I wielded, moving backwards. “Those worlds will be free. Some strong, some broken and needing help. But I’d rather spend the rest of my existence helping worlds one by one then ever attempting what you and the System tried to do.”
“It’s impossible to save them all!” He hissed, his voice cracking with pain and terror.
“Doesn’t mean I won’t keep trying.” I shrugged, looking over at Liam. “I hope you don’t mind, dear. He’s not wrong when he says it’s an impossible task.”
“Traveling with you to different realms for all eternity? How horrible for me.” Liam laughed. “Now there’s fate I can get behind.”
I turned back to Adonis. “You see… he’s fine with it.”
“I’ll have to make a sling to carry future eggs if we’re always going to be traveling…” Liam muttered to himself. I ignored him, continuing to stare at the former hero.
“So what now, Bel?” He scowled. “Are you going to kill me? Torture me? Your villainous plans don’t scare me!”
“I don’t have to do any of that, Adonis… or should I say Adler?” A villain laugh sounded out again. “You have much to answer for: How many have you killed in your quest to be a ‘hero’? How many have lives have you destroyed in your desire to impose fate on the lower realms?" He shook his head, trying to deny my words, but it was too late.
"Killing you? No. I have a much better ‘fate’ in store for you:” Reaching out, my dark power curled around him, healing his wound from his side and lifting him up in the air
“You will be banished to a lower realm. To live out your days as an insignificant side character.”
His eyes widened with shock. “NO! YOU CAN’T!!!”
“By day, you will remember nothing… but every night, your memories of the higher realms will be returned to you, just enough so you can always live in regret for what you have done.”
“NO!”
I looked at the man I had once thought of as a friend.
“You always told me to accept my fate. Well now, you must accept YOUR fate, Adonis. Goodbye.” My power covered him, and he disappeared, forever.
Only Liam and I were left.
“Soo…” I looked up at the dragon. “No issues with me being a multidimensional being, whose origin comes from a homicidal fate-obsessed system?”
Liam’s serpentine face grinned, and with a brief covering of smoke he turned back into a human. “No problems here!” He reached out and hugged me. “So what now? We travel the lower realms? Save worlds?”
“Yeah, but Liam…”
“So many different weddings to plan…” He rested his chin on the top of my head. “I wonder if we can visit old worlds? I’d love to let the Blood Wolves celebrate with us.”
“I think that could be arranged… Liam…”
“Yes, Bel.” his deep blue eyes shining with joy as they met my own.
“Can you put on clothes, first?”
He looked down at his naked human form, and then back up at me, hugging me tighter. “Sorry, I don’t have extra clothes in the void.”
I couldn’t help but laugh. “Where did my shy and modest dragon go?”
“He remembers at least four different weddings we’ve had in different worlds.” His smile widened. “Now that we’re finally alone, no spying system, or stalking heroes… I feel like we have very important things to discuss.”
I raised an eyebrow. “Like dragon eggs?”
“Bel!” He gave me a fake shocked expression. “I was going to discuss the weather! But now that you’ve brought it up…”
I laughed again at the evil villain dragon. The villainous minion. The support spouse. My husband the dragon.
“Sure, Liam. Then when we’re ready… we’ll go travel the realms. Visit some old friends. Save some worlds.”
No more heroes.
No more villains.
No more Fate.
Just us.

In a lower realm…
“Are you ready?” Adam, his tall form dressed up in a fancy suit, held out a hand towards me. He didn't look too different to how he had seemed in high school, his features more mature, his eyes wiser. The look of brotherly affection hadn't changed at all, however.
“Of course!” I grinned and took his hand, looking at his face. “Are you crying?”
“What? No!” He wiped his eyes quickly. “Just shocked at how much my little sister has grown up! Seems like yesterday you were a goofy highschooler chasing that bozo Jake around."
“You grew up too.”  I smiled. “When is Jessica due?”
His expression grew soft. “Just 2 more months. I told her she should take time off, but she likes running the café. Says people watching is her pleasure in life." He glanced back at me. “Speaking of which, are they going to hire a substitute to teach calculus while you’re gone?”
“They’re going to have to. I’m not spending my honeymoon teaching math, that’s for sure.”
“I can’t believe you became a teacher… and a calculus teacher of all things… I thought you hated it.”
“I’m somewhat of an expert on the topic. Plus, I feel the need to spread the… joy… of learning calculus to others.”
“I feel sorry for your students.” he shuddered. "At least you don't spray them."
“Nope, that's only for brother behavior modification.” I laughed out loud, and Adam shook his head at my signature villainess sound.
“Good thing Liam likes your craziness.”
I shrugged. “He wouldn’t have me be any other way.”
We walked forward, stepping up to the beginning of the aisle. I grabbed the white skirt of my wedding gown in one hand, holding Adam’s hand with my other, as the wedding march played.
At the front of the church, Liam, dressed in a suit and looking slightly nervous waited. As I moved towards him, our eyes met. His dark blue eyes, the same in every world, lit up with joy, despite the countless weddings we’ve had before.
Different realms. Different bodies. The same souls. The same love.
Well… not everything was the same.
Wait until he finds out about my surprise. I laughed silently. The egg sling is finally going to be of use.
I took Liam's outstretched hand, and we spoke our vows once more, surrounded by our friends and family of this realm.
Promising to stay by each other’s side.
Forever.

next part of Love Potion, maybe? pretty please? <3
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6
I’m back!!!
Soap wasn’t sure he could stomach going in front of Ghost so soon. He knew he should help Roach. It would be hard for him all alone. But… he just couldn’t face him. Not yet. A day of sleep had not helped as much as he hoped.
Soap felt ashamed at how he handled the night before. If he could, he’d make it disappear forever from both their minds. It did however erase any doubt in his mind that this was the best course of action. Before, he had considered from time to time that Ghost was an elf who could be dangerous if no longer tied to a person. But seeing the punishments in action, watching Roba’s glee at being able to humiliate Ghost and torment Soap, the doubts quickly fizzled out. No one deserved that. Even if this backfired and Ghost was dangerous, this was the right thing to do.
Hiding like a coward was not the right thing to do.
So he got up and got dressed and did all the little things to make himself presentable and went out again.
A guard, Reyes Soap believed, stopped him immediately. “John MacTavish, have you seen Lieutenant Ghost?”
“No sir, I haven’t. Why?”
“Lord Roba is looking for him. He’s concerned.”
“If I see him, I’ll send him to them.” Soap smiled. “I just woke up and plan to go eat. See ya around, yeah?”
Reyes smiled. “Have you also seen Chuy? I’ve been looking for him too.”
The idea of Chuy, the local witch, and Reyes, the sunshiney guard, hanging out?
Well, young love he supposed.
“No, but I’ll also tell him if you’re looking for him.” He promised and Reyes brightened.
“Thank you, sir! I’m going to keep looking for Ghost!” Reyes walked away, continuing his search.
Soap felt slightly better to know that he apparently wasn’t that high on the suspect list. He didn’t even press him for information.
Roba must assume that Ghost would never willingly go anywhere with Soap after what he did. The bastard probably hoped it would destroy their friendship.
Not on Soap’s watch!
Maybe on Soap’s watch.
Ghost had to be restrained to the bed and he was spitting mad. He was able to speak again but was still too weak to really defend himself.
Roach had put a cold compress on his head and was currently trying to comb his hair.
“Gary, when I get out of this, I’m going to rip you to shreds. You know that right? I’m going to make it slow. Going to drag it out.”
Roach kissed his cheek and kept combing.
Soap smiled at him and pulled up a chair. “Hello, sir.”
“MacTavish.”
“So Roach is still Gary but I’m just MacTavish?”
“You know why.”
Soap softened. “I’m sorry, truly. I never wanted…”
Ghost looked away from him.
Roach waved a hand and made a gesture.
“What’s he saying, Ghost? I don’t know that sign.”
“He’s asking what happened.”
Roach made a face so it was clear that was not actually what he said, but he went back to combing him as if nothing happened so it must have been answer enough.
Soap swallowed. “Ghost…”
He stayed looking away.
“Simon.”
Ghost… melted. “Please…”
“Can I tell him what happened?”
“Fuck you…” He shivered and tried to pull his hands free.
Roach leaned down and traced Ghost’s throat. He leaned down so they could make eye contact.
Slowly, Ghost thawed out slowly and shook his head. “Gary, a little mercy on me?”
Roach frowned at him.
“Roba… wanted an audience.”
Roach slowly raised his head. A storm cloud had appeared above his head, the thunder so loud Soap could hear it. Despite being unable to speak, his mouth still opened like he was going to start accusing Soap.
“He didn’t want to, Gary. Don’t worry. I… know you didn’t actually enjoy that, Johnny.”
“Thank goodness, thought I was going to go crazy knowing you were mad at me.” Soap grabbed his arm and squeezed. “Now, we’re going to keep you here just until this curse is off.”
Ghost looked up at him. “And what will you do with me after?”
Soap sighed. “Release you.”
Roach hit him with a pillow and growled. His hands went to Ghost’s shoulders, rubbing them lightly. He looked rather protective.
Ghost hummed. “You two should maybe talk about this. Not smart for you two to not know what to do with a prisoner.”
Both of them gawked at him. “Not a prisoner!”
“Then, I can leave?”
“Well, no.”
“Then I am imprisoned, making me a prisoner. Come on Johnny. English.”
Soap shook his head. “You’re impossible, Simon.”
Ghost swallowed thickly when he said his name. “Gary, I feel hotter again.”
Roach laid a gentle hand on his face. A gentle hand with claws at the end of each one. He felt the heat rolling off of him and quickly put the rag in the water and squeezed it. He placed it around Ghost’s neck instead of his forehead, letting it cool the blood there and spread throughout his body.
Soap swallowed. “Simon, we’re going to take care of you okay? I’ll stay with you throughout all of this.”
Roach smiled in agreement.
