Ok but now see you don’t understand. The 100 season 2 episode 9 is one of the most well written episodes in the entire season in my opinion for both the progression of the story and also for the construction of Clarke as a character and everything that she will do later.
The episode begins with the aftermath of her killing Finn and the beginning of the alliance with the grounders.
In this episode the relationships Clarke/Bellamy and Lexa/Gustus shine through and are the focal points of that storyline: two powerful women in charge, and the men that love them (in one way or another) want to protect them no matter what.
Bellamy wants to go inside M.Weather but Clarke says it’s too dangerous and she “can’t loose him as well” right after losing Finn. (For my bellarke girlies, the look on Bellamy’s face when she says that is imprinted in my mind forever because he was soo not expecting that lol)
They go to Ton DC and the whole debacle with the poison happens. Bellamy is the first one that jumps in front of Clarke to protect her and snatches the potential poison from her hands. After we find out that it was Gustus that poisoned the cups to protect his commander.
Lexa doesn’t care the reasons behind it, but only the action, because “love is weakness” so she kills him.
When Octavia, Lincoln and Bellamy are in front of the fire and L asks to Bellamy how did he know it was Gustus, B says because he would “have done everything to protect her. To keep her safe.” AND AS I’M SURE EVEN THE WALLS HAVE UNDERSTOOD THAT HE WAS ALSO TALKING ABOUT HIMSELF AND CLARKE because as of right now Bellamy has done exactly that: do everything to protect Clarke because he trusts her, sees her as a good leader and generally cares about her. Also very relevant the immediate response that Octavia gives to this statement “look at the thanks he got” which is kinda of foreshadowing of what is about to happen.
Because Clarke, my dear sweet freshly traumatised Clarke, sees Lexa so powerful and capable that she decided to imitate her and adopts her mentality, so she goes to Bellamy and in the coldest voice we have ever heard from her (towards him) she says that he was right and that they need an inside man in MW. Now here is where cinematography comes in to help with the story, because first of all we see the complete and utter surprise on Bellamy’s face at this sudden change of heart that he doesn’t understand because less then 12 hours she told him that he couldn’t loose him (his Heart shows) then his practical side takes over and he regards her also with understanding. BUT THEN then the camera moves to Octavia and Raven. Remember Lincoln is also there but we don’t see him, we only see those two. Why? Because they know. They know the relationship between these two, they’ve been there since the dropship days, they know this is not how things are done. You can literally feel the awkwardness in the air, as Octavia stares between the two like what the hell is going on. Then Clarke leaves and Bell gets ready for his mission.
Clarke, who has also been plagued by visions of Finn, says to his ghost that love is weakness (after all she just implemented the principle with one of the boys she cares about, she’s only fair to say the same to the other in a more clear matter since he’s dead) and the ghost vanishes it.
By the end we see her reject to keep Finn ashes that abby offers, officially implementing this new motto.
DO YOU SEE WHAT I MEAN???????? THE GENIUS, THE WRITING, THE EXPRESSIONS, THE PARALLELS, THE ACTORS.
THIS IS WHEN THE 100 WAS A PROPER TV SHOW AND BY GOD DO I MISS IT.
(yes I'm doing a rewatch, yes is very late at night, please keep your judgement of my insanity to yourself)
Ok I’m done I’m going to sleep now.

False Victory - THE 100 REWRITE Chapter Twenty-Nine
[THE 100 MASTERLIST]
Previous Chapter / Next Chapter (07/23/2024)
Summary: The battle was over. Alie was no more, but that wasn't necessarily good news for the survivors. There was no real victory as they were already faced with the news of an impending doom, another praimfaya. They had to find a way to survive, or in a few months, the remnants of humanity will disappear completely, leaving no one behind. And it fell to Clarke, Bellamy and Michelle, to go figure out a way to survive what was coming.
Words: 4.4k
Warnings: The 100 season 4 spoilers (episode 1 "Echoes"), blood, aftermarth of the battle, fluff (but sad lol)
Bellamy, Clarke and Michelle got down the tower and upon stepping outside, and the first thing they came across was the body of a man lying on the ground, a large pool of blood spread all around his head. They saw the survivors piling up bodies, either distressed, crying over their dead, or completely disoriented and confused, having a hard time processing what had happened, after they had been chipped and mind controlled. This was a sad and unnerving sight. Michelle was thankful she hadn’t lost anyone, but she felt for those who weren’t so lucky. She could never have lived with killing her dead, because she would have done in a desperate attempt to save Bellamy. She wasn’t chipped and wouldn’t be able to tell herself that it wasn’t her doing.
“She’ll be okay. Octavia can take of herself.” Clarke told Bellamy, wanting to be reassuring. Michelle saw the girl kneeling next to Indra down the street. Bellamy didn’t meet Clarke’s gaze and shook his head.
“That’s not what I’m worried about.”
“She won’t be charged. Everyone will say that Pike had it coming.”
“Maybe we all do.” He said, eventually looking at her. Their three faces were all tainted with worry and concern. This whole day felt so strange. After what Clarke told them, it felt nothing like a victory. Clarke’s pulled her eyebrows together, the corners of her lips turning downwards. Michelle was listening to them, still watching the grounders gather their dead in the square.
“How do we tell these people that the world is ending after everything they’ve been through?
“We don’t,” Bellamy declared. “not until we know Alie was telling the truth.”
“It was the truth.”
“Still, we keep it to ourselves until we know what we’re dealing with and how to stop it.”
“Damn. You’re afraid of how people will react.”
“Yes.” He wasn’t about to try and deny it, but his seriousness quickly lightened as a smirk appeared briefly on his face. “Besides, I could use a break from keeping you alive. You gave them back their pain, Clarke. Let’s not add to it by telling them they’re gonna die in 6 months.” She quiertly nodded. “Good. Once everyone’s down, we go home, we get to work. We didn’t survive this long just to let a little radiation take us out.”
“Thank you, for keeping me alive.” Clarke then said softly. Unfortunately, the peace was short lived when a woman wailed nearby, leading to Clarke running towards her as the latter was kneeled next to the body of a man just sat there, his head falling forward. “He didn’t fall. He chased me in the city of light. Lexa killed him.”
“Wanheda.” The woman stood up, glaring at Clarke, accusing her of doing this. People began staring at the trio, surrounding them.
“Well, this isn’t ominous at all.” Bellamy and Clarke both gave her a look from the corner of their eyes. Michelle’s quiet observation wasn’t supposed to be this sarcastic, but Murphy was probably rubbing off on her, as he did when they were together in the beginning. They walked around and found Abby and Kane had come downstairs.
“Good. You’re down. We have to go.” Clarke exclaimed. “The rover’s in the north woods.”
“What about the wounded?” Abby asked.
“Grounders don’t want our help. Our people we’ll treat at Arkadia.” The girls agreed, nodding at Bellamy’s statement, when Raven’s voice came over the radio, trying to reach out to him. Michelle looked at her two peers’ step away to take her call and knowing they would tell Raven about the fate of the Earth; she went to join them. Raven was reporting to them. Telling them everyone was okay on their side. Bellamy spoke close to the radio. “There’s something we need you to look into.”
“First, tell me how my friends are. Did everyone make it? Clarke?” The latter took the radio to make herself known, thanking her for her help. Michelle assumed Raven somehow helped her in the city of light.
“Did Alie ever tell you why she created the city of light?”
“No... Why?” They looked up as they heard a grounder proclaim that King Roan was still alive. He had been shot by Kane himself before chaos unravelled in the throne room, but apparently survived. He needed a healer ASAP. Clarke sent Bellamy to take care of filling in Raven with the news while she looked back to her mom, and they ran toward where Roan had been carried. Michelle and Kane followed them there. They got down to his side and after she was told he was shot trying to help Clarke, Abby checked for an exit wound but there was none. They had to get the bullet out quickly but then, a blade was suddenly drawn to Clarke's throat, and she had to step away from Roan. It was an Azgedan woman, given she called Roan her king. Abby tried to reason with her, saying she could help if only she would let her, but the Azgedan dismissed her offer. They had their own healer and she seemed dead set on not letting them, Sky people, touch the king. Bellamy came rushing towards them, calling her by what was probably her name, Echo, and Michelle wondered how he even knew her already. Maybe he met her back at Mount Weather, among the emprisoned grounders. That was her only guess. Kane grabbed his arms, stopping him in his tracks.
“Let her go, Echo. Let her go.” He repeated through gritted teeth. He wasn’t playing when Clarke’s life was at stake. Echo wasn’t keen to talk with him, telling him off. Panting, Clarke attempted to speak with her.
“Your king is my friend. Let us help him.”
“I saw you in the city of Light. I know you destroyed it. Thank you for that.” She then uncermenously pushed her towards her peers and she stumbled, catching herself on Bellamy. “Look around you. Skaikru did this to us. Because of them, Ontari, your rightful commander, is dead. This imposter stole her flame.”
“No.” Michelle looked at her father as he rose his voice angrily. “Wanheda saved us, all of us – grounders and Skaikru.”
“There would have been nothing to save us from if not for you.”
“Azgeda has no authority here.”
“We do now.” She argued. “In the name of King Roan, as rightful caretakers of the throne of the commanders, Polis is now under Azgeda rule.”
Another grounder woman chimed in, walking towards her, challenging the claim she made, demanding where her war chief was, but as she then replied, the latter was dead. Michelle noted she called the woman ambassador. Echo, being apparently a member of the queen’s guard – the late mother of Roan who was previously Queen of Azgeda – informed that command of the army had fallen to her, until the king woke and came to his senses. If he even did.
“Until a new commander can ascend, Polis is to be ruled by ambassadors of the coalition. If Azgeda wants it, they must take it by force.” As she was speaking, Echo swinged her sword across from her, slitting the woman’s throat and Michelle’s eyes twitched, taking a step back in shock. Her father put his arm in front of her, grabbing her shoulder and making her move further back, bringing her closer to him in protection. Feeling her father pull her back, she reflexively brought her hand upwards and held onto her father’s arm and stared as blood poured heavily from the woman’s neck, her eyes wide as her body collapsed to the ground in a thud. With this act, Echo made it clear that Azgeda had taken the city. And she then declared that no Sky people was to leave the city, trapping the lot of them once again. And it would be so until Roan woke up, as he would, hopefully, restore and uphold the coalition and make Skaikru the 13th clan again, as Lexa did before she died, and it all went to shit. He people shouted in unison.
“Looks like saving the world will have to wait.” Bellamy mumbled to Clarke and Michelle. The two slowly turned their heads towards him, looking at each other with a concerned frowned. Roan was transported in a room inside the tower and Kane told one of Arkadia’s guards that came with them to gather the others. They couldn’t enter the room where Roan was so they stood in another, with candles all over the walls.
Michelle was standing near Clarke as the latter looked at the flame in her hands. She looked up upon hearing her mother talk to Kane, and so did Michelle. His wrist and hands were hurting, and Abby softly lifted the top of his bandage, peeking at his wound. Michelle’s heart sank at the though of her father out there on the cross, until he gave in and took the chip. And to think she was going to kill him… She desperately wanted to not think about it, but it was all she could think about, and the guilt it brought. He held Abby’s face softly as he spoke to her. Michelle and Clarke glanced at each other, a tiny smile raising the corner of their lips. They grew up together, their mothers being best friends and they became best friends themselves, and they always considered themselves to be like sisters, but seeing their parents be together, they really were a family, and it was a nice, recomforting thought in the midst of all these troubles. Indra and Octavia then came in and he walked towards them. They looked at each other and bringing an arm behind his back, she pulled him into a firm but friendly hug. Michelle took her eyes off her dad and turned around upon hearing someone walk behind her. It was Bellamy. He stopped by her and Clarked, his arms crossed.
“You’re not gonna like it.” He instantly told them.
“When you destroyed the city of light,” Indra spoke up. “there were a thousand Azgeda warriors inside the city of Polis.”
“Good timing.” Octavia commented.
“Only way to remove them is by force.”
“Then let’s remove them.”
“Slow down. You’re talking about a war.” Abby tried to talk to her daughter.
“Yes. Rockline, Flokru, and Broadleaf will join Trikru without question, but we’ll still be short.” Indra’s addition didn’t convince Abby, who still thought this was madness and while the idea of a war was indeed madness, they had to do something about the Azgedan hold onto Polis. Clarke wanted to act; her mother wanted them to leave the city with the others while they still had time. Michelle agreed with what her father then told her, because he was right. The Azgedan knew their whereabouts, they knew where Skaikru lived, and fleeing would only lead them to follow them back to Arkadia and attack their camp and they wouldn’t be able to fight an entire army.
“There are 8 other clans.” He continued. “How do we get them to join us?”
“I can do it, but I’ll need the flame.” Indra turned to Clarke, but the latter refused to give it to her.
“Clarke, the clans will follow whoever has the flame.” Bellamy said.
“Azgeda won’t.”
“Then we fight.” Octavia spoke. “That’s the point.”
“No. No, it’s not. The point is, there’s no time for a fight. We have to save Roan.”
“Save him? They won’t let us near him.”
“Wait a second.” Abby stared at Clarke, sensing something was wrong. “What don’t we know?”
“The reason Alie created the city of light.” She paused, glancing at Michelle and Bellamy before telling the rest of them. Pinching their lips, they gave her a nod. “Nuclear reactors inside the power plants that survived the bombs are melting down. Radiation levels are already rising. If we can’t figure out a way to fix it, all of us will be dead in 6 months.” Both Kane and Alie were somewhat doubtful of what Alie had told her but they had Raven looking into it and in any case, Clarke believed that the AI had said the truth about what was happening to the power plants.
“Even if it’s true, that’s 6 months away.” Indra noted. “There are thousands ice nation warriors on the street who want to kill us today.”
“They won’t kill us.”
“How could you possibly know that?” Octavia asked Clarke.
“Because we’re gonna surrender.” Everyone looked at each other, clearly baffled, not knowing what to say to that. It seemed there was really no other choice for them anyway. The group exited the room they were kept in and met Echo and the Azgedan warriors outside, pushing Jaha in front of them. He looked like he was in pain, and it was easy to assume they had beat him. He was, after all, the one who initiated this whole Alie situation, bringing the key with him and encouraging people to take it. Echo grabbed him, said something to his ear and threw him their way. He fell on the ground, held his side as he winced from the pain as he struggled to get up. Kane was the one to come forward and he helped Jaha as the latter stumbled in his direction. He spoke to him as he hugged him, because this whole encounter was actually just a distraction. Michelle carefully looked up to the side, to where she knew Bellamy was posted with a sniper. Michelle knew Jaha had brought them a body, supposedly Ontari’s, so that she would be with her people, but it was really Octavia being sneaked in the room to take out everyone there and clear the way for Abby and Clarke so that they could take care of Roan. Michelle knew she wouldn’t be of any use to her friend, and they didn’t need multiple snipers watching over them out there, so she just stayed with her dad.
Night had fallen. Michelle and Bellamy were talking with Indra and Kane, standing around the other guards from Arkadia, by the light of the torch. Michelle was quiet, leaning against the wall, starting to feel somewhat tired, barely listening to the conversation the others were having, and she stared into space, until she saw movement from the corner of her eyes, to her left and she looked yo, realizing it was Murphy walking towards them. He was accompanied by that girl she saw him hug back in the tower. She hadn’t paid much attention to her back there so she barely noticed her, but she could take a real look at her then. She had markings on her face, like some grounders they had seen before. They had stopped in their tracks, the girl telling him something, but Murphy crossed Michelle’s gaze. It seemed his girlfriend didn’t want to go towards them, so Murphy went ahead and approached Bellamy and Michelle. She slightly nudged him and motioned towards Murphy with her chin. Indra saw him look away and called him back to the conversation which revolved around Echo and the Azgedan. She was apparently part of the royal guard, which were literal spies, untrustworthy.
“That’s why she’s not marked. Very dangerous. Very loyal.”
“Not to the people who saved her life.”
“Bellamy, I know how you feel about her, but you can’t lose control.” Kane said. “You offer them technology, guns, whatever it takes to keep her talking. Is that clear?”
“I didn’t agree to give them guns.” Indra argued.
“Well, that’s probably because you’re not an idiot.” Murphy joined the conversation. Kane then assured it wouldn’t get that far, they only really wanted to buy themselves some time for Abby to save King Roan.
“If you want to help, grab a weapon, stand a post.” He then told Murphy and Bellamy handed his gun to him. He gave him a nod, but Michelle was staring at him, and she might be standing somewhat in Bellamy’s shadow, the flame’s light flickered in her eyes. And she actually knew Murphy quite well, and she knew he hadn’t walked up to them to simply offer his assistance. She knew he had his own agenda and with his girlfriend standing a few feet away, who she crossed eyes with for a second, she was sure of it, and then it was as if a light turned on in her head and she subtly shook her head. Murphy and his girlfriend wanted to take off, but the guards were in the way. That was the only possible reason why he even came to talk to them in the first place. She wasn’t disappointed, she expected something like this, and she stopped looking at him, kind of ignoring his presence, which he noticed because she felt his eyes on her but didn’t look back. Bellamy walked ahead of them, she stayed behind with her dad, Indra, Murphy and the guards as he headed towards the Azgedan, sat together in the distance. They immidietaly all stood up as he came in their area. Michelle saw Murphy go to stand in a corner as he was supposed to stand post and cover for him, but with everyone moved out of the way, he could leave if he wanted and as he turned around, he almost walked into Michelle as she stood right behind him. She wasn’t even going to stop him, but she wanted Bellamy’s gun back. She had a smaller gun in her hand and turned it around, putting the gun’s butt against his chest. He apologized, though he didn’t precisely say it was because he was leaving without a word, yet again, but they both knew she was already aware of his intentions so there was no need to say anything else.
“Just fucking go.” She spoke under her breath and grabbed Bellamy’s gun and watched him sneak away from the corner of her eye as she stood post in his stead. She leaned against the stone wall, in a corner and watched as Echo walked down the stairs to meet with Bellamy. After a few minutes of watching them talk, Echo turned around and Bellamy grabbed her wrist to stop her, prompting both sides to step forward, her warriors raising their swords. Michelle tightened her grip on the gun’s handle. She still didn’t take aim, keeping its butt against her shoulder, the cannon facing down. Echo didn’t take kindly to him grabbing her and immobilized him on the ground, putting her knife to his throat. She rose her voice to Michelle and the others.
“Guns on the ground or he dies.”
“We disarm, we’re done.” Indra told Kane, quietly.
“Abby’ll come through. Do what she says. Guns on the ground, now.” The guards obeyed, and Michelle came out of behind the corner, standing right beside her father as she put down the gun. No one had realized Murphy was gone. It really all happened the exact same way as months ago, when it took people an entire afternoon to figure out, he was gone. They had more pressing matters to tend to anyway, she wasn’t eager to tell anyone about him leaving. They had to watch as Bellamy was unceremoniously picked up by a guard and dragged away as Echo headed for the room where Roan was kept. They heard some yelling, but it subsided. No screams or ruckus. Roan had probably woken up. Azgedan guards then came for the rest of them, some fled, but Michelle, Kane, Octavia and a bunch of the guards were put in a cell, shackled to the walls. Sat on the floor, curled up with her cheek crushed against the wall, her eyelids twitched and opened as she woke up with a subtle jump after having a nightmare about the grounder strangling her back in the elevator. She sighed and frowned at the daylight coming through the barred window at the top of the wall. She lifted her head and kinda looked around before standing up, with Bellamy and Kane chained on both sides of her.
“Your cheek’s red.” Bellamy said, almost in a whisper, smiling softly.
“At least there’s no blood on it.” She was used to getting blood on her at this point, as she always managed to get herself hurt. She got on her tiptoes to try and look out the window but ended up just glancing at her chains after she pulled on, unconsciously bringing her hand to her neck. She kept to herself about her bad dream and stared at the wall until they heard noise coming from the cell door. The grouder keeping guard opened it and a whole bunch of them walked in with a determined step.
“Wanheda, on your feet.”
“Where’s the king?” Clarke stood up as Echo came to face her while the guards held their blades up to the prisoners. She cried out, asking to see Roan but a cloth was thrown over her head. Bellamy and Michelle immediately reacted, with Bellamy trying to call out to Echo but no one got any answer. On their way out, the grounders threw a punch at Bellamy, making him bend over, his arms pulling on the chains. Michelle instantly went for him, grabbing his arm as they watched their friend being taken away, helpless. But they were soon reassured when grounders came to free the rest of them and everyone joined the crown outside as Roan stood before them, with his bone crown on his head, addressing his people. Michelle knew he was a king but that was the first time she actually saw him as such.
“I know you’ve all come here for an execution, but no one else will die here today. The city of light has fallen… and there is no commander left to rule us. Until another Nightblood ascends, I – King Roan of Azgeda, eldest son of Nia, grandson of Theo – am caretaker of the throne, and keeper of the flame.” As he spoke, he raised his hand, showing the flame in between his fingers. Some people seemed to protest, though Michelle didn’t quite catch the meaning of their words, but she understood their tone. “Until another ascends, Azgeda honors and will defend the coalition of the last true commander – Lexa Kom Trikru, including the 13th clan. Let it be known that an attack against Skaikru is an attack against us all.”
After his speech, they were met by Echo. Bellamy walked up to her. She was impassible but her annoyance still transpired as she barely pronounced a few words, handing him something from the king. She unfolded the leather wrapping the small object and revealed Roan’s seal, allowing them free and safe passage in any of their lands. He grabbed it and she took a step towards him, her mask cracking. She didn’t look so threatening but Michelle had no idea what they were saying to each other. She could see in the spy’s eyes, the anger or annoyance or whatever emotion she previously had was gone and she seemed somewhat unsettled or disappointed or maybe both as she stepped back, glancing over his shoulder at the group standing behind him, her lips tight. “Welcome back to the coalition.” And she walked away. Bellamy turned on his heels and went back to them. It was time to leave the city.
“We’ll do our best to keep the king on his throne.” Kane assured.
“We’ll find a way to beat the radiation.”
“If either of you screw this up, we die.” Octavia then added, looking at Bellamy, Clarke and Michelle who were standing side by side in front of them. “No pressure.”
“This is serious, O. If anyone finds out why Roan helped us, it’ll be every clan for itself. The king will fall, and they’ll come after us.”
“It’s getting dark. Let’s do this.” Clarke spoke again, before the siblings came for each other’s throat again, or rather, before Octavia felt like it. At first, Michelle watched Clarke and her mother hug and wish each other goodbye, and her eyes then went to her own father. She didn’t want to say goodbye to him again, after having just reunited, a day prior. Sadness tainted her eyes. He shared a handshake with Bellamy, tightening his grip on his hand, the other on his shoulder, to make him look up at him.
“You turn the page, and you don’t look back. You do better than you did yesterday. You understand?” Bellamy subtly nodded, without saying anything. “Before you know it, you’ll deserve to survive.”
“I hope so.” With all that happened, it was understandable that he wasn’t sure he was worthy of surviving. Kane let go of him and turned his head to Michelle, looking at his daughter tenderly, tucking strands of hair behind her ear, before they drew each other into a tight embrace. He softly kissed her temple, stroking her back and she rested her face on his shoulder, closing her eyes, hoping this moment would last forever.
“May we meet again.” She finally uttered, opening her eyes again, a tear rolling over the bridge of her nose. She reluctantly stepped back, his hands holding her shoulders. It pained him to see her sad, and for her he held it together, but he was no less affected by the fact they had to go their separate ways again.
“May we meet again.” She knew how much they had come to mean to each other, and he was now, without the shadow of a doubt, the person she loved most but it really hit her in this moment. She saw in his eyes, how much love he had for her. She felt guilty for ever giving him the silent treatment when she was mad at him, or blaming him for the death of her mother. Later, she would apologize for it all, and he wouldn't even need to think about it before forgiving her. He cupped her cheek in his hand, “I’m proud of you.” and added in a whisper, only for her to hear, “I know your mother would be too.”
She nodded, her lips sealed tight so they wouldn’t quiver, and she lowered her eyes as they got watery again, taking in a deep but shaky breath before she took a step back. Bellamy put a comforting hand on her back and locked eyes with Kane. The two men looked at each other understandingly, giving each other a somewhat solemn nod before they turned around, and left Polis with Clarke. Michelle wiped off her tears and held her head high, looking straight ahead of her.
“Okay, princess. What now?”
“Now we survive.”

It's Us Or Them
Bellamy leans against the wall, staring at Clarke, who is drawing something with the kit that Dante gave her. She hasn’t noticed him staring, even though everyone else has. Miller walks up.
“Hey, what are you two being so uptight about?”
“You don’t think this is weird?” Bellamy asks, pulling his eyes away from Clarke.
“No, I think you and Clarke are being paranoid.”
Bellamy hums, turning back to Clarke.
“Maybe you’re right, or maybe not. I’ve been through enough to be at least a little cautious though.”
“Fine, I’ll let you two just plot all day instead of doing something fun or productive.”
He walks off, leaving Bellamy leaning against the wall. None of the rest of them are really talking to Clarke and Bellamy right now since they’re the only ones that aren’t fully convinced that Mount Weather is what they say it is. He walks over, then pulls himself up next to her on her bed.
“What are you doing?” he asks quietly.
“Shh, I don’t want you criticizing me right now.”
Bellamy looks over her shoulder.
“You’re drawing a map. Is it for us to get out of here?”
Clarke puts her pencil down, locking eyes with Bellamy.
“You really want to get out of here?”
Bellamy nods, running a hand through his hair.
“Yes, this place is off. Something’s wrong. Why was I picked up, and not anyone else?”
Clarke shifts so they’re facing each other.
“We haven’t really had a chance to talk. What happened after we closed the dropship door?”
Bellamy sighs.
“Well, everyone who knew to get away did. The Grounders didn’t understand why we were running, so only a few of them followed us. I broke off with Finn.”
“Wait, so Finn didn’t get caught in the fire?”
Bellamy shakes his head.
“No, and that’s what makes it all so weird. I was with him when I was grabbed. I was only a few feet away from him, and I’m pretty sure I was gassed. So I can only assume that it was a really small dose, and it didn’t reach him. However, if they really wanted to help, why are they telling us that everyone else is dead? There’s no way Finn just magically dropped dead.”
Clarke puts two fingers against her lip, contemplating.
“I don’t know. Maybe they don’t want to do the work to find them? It’s possible that he ran off once you got gassed. Do you know if the Ark had any survivors?”
Bellamy shakes his head.
“No, the only person that I’m sure survived was Finn.”
She deflates a little bit.
“I’m sure some of them had to have survived.”
“You saw how hard it came down,” Clarke replies, her voice soft.
“You’re right, but we have to hold onto something. I’m holding onto hope that Lincoln got my sister away, and that she’s ok. You can hold on hope for your mom, and for Finn.” He says the last part with a distant and sad tone.
Clarke puts a hand on his shoulder.
“I’m sure Octavia is fine.”
He nods.
“Yeah, I’m sure she is. Now, let’s refocus. What do you know?”
They continue talking, trying to figure out how to get out of the mountain. It takes a few days for them to figure out what was happening behind the scenes. It was while they were out, checking out the area behind the infirmary that the dorms were quarantined off. Clarke turns to Bellamy once the quarantine order is given over the speakers.
“What’s happening?” she whispers.
“I think you know the answer to that, Clarke. They’re going to hang our friends upside down and drain their blood.”
Before Clarke can answer, a guard turns the corner right beside them. He immediately grabs a fist full of Bellamy’s hair, kicking Bellamy’s right knee out from underneath him at the same time. Clarke lunges forward as Bellamy slams his head back into the other man’s nose. They quickly subdue the guard as quietly as they can.
Then they hear someone over the radio say, “Have you found the last two subjects?”
Bellamy clips the radio to his belt before turning back to Clarke.
“We have to do something.”
“I know, but what?”
“Well, first job should be getting to the command center so we can contact anyone still alive on the outside. Even if it’s just the remnants of camp, we get any backup that we can.”
Clarke nods. Bellamy grabs the guard’s gun before holding it out to Clarke. She looks down at it skeptically.
“What are you going to do?”
“I don’t know. I guess I’ll take his belt and strangle people with it,” Bellamy says with a shrug.
“That… nevermind.”
Clarke takes the gun, checking it over briefly. They end up sneaking into the command center after taking a few more guards. Clarke shoots three of the men in the room while Bellamy gets the other four. He runs to barricade the door before the people outside can come see what all the noise is about.
“Ok, I got it, but I don’t know how long this is going to hold so we have to hurry. See if there are any broadcasting signals anywhere nearby, because the Grounders don’t have those.”
Clarke nods, tucking the gun in her waistband before searching the buttons.
“I don’t know how to do that,” she says after a minute.
“Come here, and hold the door. The desk is doing most of the work, but just put your weight against it. I’ll see if I can figure it out.”
“How would you know how to do that?” Clarke asks even as she runs over.
“Jasper gave me a rundown of how to run the radio systems that the Ark has along with a few of the other systems that he knew about, and it should be close enough, I hope,” he says, muttering the last part.
Clarke nods, obviously not hearing his muttering.
“Ok, well as long as you know what you’re doing.”
Bellamy spends a few minutes at the console before pressing a button and saying, “This is Bellamy Blake trying to reach anyone from the Ark.”
He turns to Clarke.
“I don’t know if the radio at camp is still working, but someone is broadcasting.”
The radio crackles then a voice comes over it. “Bellamy, where are you guys?” Raven asks though she sounds tired and in pain.
“We’re inside the mountain. We’re being held against our will, and they’re going to do something really bad if we don’t do something fast. I need some kind of idea, or backup. Do you have anything to tell me?”
“Well, we knew that there were people in the mountain, because the Grounders told us. I didn’t know you guys were there. Can you open the system so I can see what you have going on?”
“Like unencrypting it for you?”
“Yeah, basically.”
“I guess I can if you tell me how to do that. Does that mean that people from the Ark actually survived?”
“Yeah, Kane and Abby are both here. Well, not like right here, but somewhere around here.”
Clarke turns so fast, her hair flying into her face. Bellamy flashes her a smile before turning back to what he’s doing. It takes a few minutes for Raven to walk Bellamy through the process of opening their systems so she can see how they work.
“Wick get over here,” Raven calls before putting the radio down. It’s quiet for a few minutes. “Ok, so bad news. We have access to their cameras now. They’re killing them.”
“What? Why?”
“I don’t know. They’re drilling into them or something.”
“Shit, they can’t leave the mountain. Apparently radiation is still a problem, just not for us, because of solar radiation or something. It probably has something to do with that. What can we do?”
It gets quiet again before Raven says, “Well, you could probably open all the exits from the console in front of you.”
“Wouldn’t that kill everyone?” Clarke asks, her tone tight.
“Yes, it would, but I don’t think the two of you could do anything else on your own. Just find out if you can do that with the console, and I’ll see if anyone else has any other ideas.”
She puts the radio down before either of them can respond. Clarke turns to Bellamy as he starts looking over the console.
“You’re not seriously thinking about doing that?”
Bellamy turns to her, his eyes soft.
“It’s us or them, Clarke. Are you willing to risk our people?”
She turns away.
“No, I’m not. Tell me if you find something. I can hear people banging on the door.”
“Yeah.”
By the time Raven comes back, Bellamy has looked over everything.
“I found something. It needs an override code though. Probably because it kills people, and I’d have to do each seal individually, because it’s not meant to irradiate the whole mountain.”
“Shit, maybe I can find the code somewhere. Let me look through their systems,” Raven says.
Bellamy pulls another cabinet in front of the door to put on top of the first one.
“Just in case.”
“I think they were talking about finding a blowtorch to melt through the door,” Clarke says, giving Bellamy a slightly panicked look.
“It’ll be ok,” he says before kissing her on the cheek. “Just hang in there, and we’ll deal with this.”
He walks back over to the console as Raven says, “Hang on, I got it.”
She gives Bellamy the code, and he puts it into the computer. He reaches for the lever, pausing. Then he turns off the cameras, not able to watch what he’s about to do. An alarm starts as soon as he pulls it the first time. He does the first two himself, but then Clarke appears beside him as he pauses again. His hand is shaking as it holds the lever. She grabs his hand gently, pushing it forward herself.
He blinks back tears as he puts the code in again. This goes on for another couple times before the alarms finally stop signaling that there’s no crisis anymore. Bellamy slides to the floor.
“That means there’s no one left that’s in danger, doesn’t it?” he whispers.
Clarke slides down next to him before leaning heavily against him.
“I think so.”
The first tear slips out of Clarke’s eyes, and Bellamy has to wipe his eyes to stop his from falling. He puts an arm around Clarke, but neither of them try to move again for a while after that. They don’t move until the backup from the Ark gets there, and even then they are still right next to each other, not really sure what to do now, or how to live with what they just did.

The 100 Rewatch 2023 Liveblog 1.08
Day Trip
Oh boy! The memories. This is the beginning of Bellarke for me.
We are going to post like men here. No editing. Forgive my typos. I touch type as i go and i may be fast but i'm not that accurate. I will remember to do a read more this time though. Because this is long.
We open with beefcake Lincoln strung up for torture. Honestly. That's rude. It's not sexy just because he's hot.
Miller told the dead kids parents the news that their kids were murdered by grounders. He wants "justice." and Bellamy says they're not killing him. Miller is an ass and puts mud on lLincoln and Lincoln headbutts him. LOL.
Talking to the Ark they want Clarke to find an emergency shelter for supplies. Diana Sydney is like nah. We're about to come down, the baby kids should stay put. Now Jaha is trying to get Clarke back with her mom but she blames him for betraying her dad, too.
Oh Dax is going to talk to "his parents" and it's Shumway to proposition him into murder. Just like he did Bellamy. But this time he wants B dead. Dax already beat a man to death. He's one of the murderers they talked about.
Now B and O are arguing about Lincoln. B is calling him an animal. Knock that off, kid.
Clarke wants to take Bellamy for the supply run at the depot. And he's suspicious. "I don't feel like being around anyone I actually like." Which he gets because hello Octavia.
Jasper and MOnty with grim humor. Don't worry about the grounder revenge. Byt the time they get here we'll be dead of hypothermia.
Ugh Clarke and Finn being all "I'll take care of you." ANd Raven is right there. "She's a big girl she can take care of herself." Then in comes Bellamy. ooh Finn is jealous. Bellamy is taking all the rations and Clarke is suspicious. "A lot can happen in a day." Foreshadowing. Sneaky Dax follows them out of the camp.
Miller goes to talk to Roma's parents and O sneaks up to Lincoln. She gives him water. Neat little canteen made out of what? Parachute? more beefcake as she cleans up his washboard abs and he is like smelling her or whatever. Y'all I don't like kidnapping/torture as a start to a romance. But this is better than most because he originally kidnapped her to keep her safe and she's trying to stop the torture.
He tells her his name because he wants her to remember him after he dies. "This only ends one way." Because he IS the enemy.
Clarke and Bellamy in the woods. I remember this. Bellarke in the wild. Bellamy is really feeling guilt and fear over the Jaha attempted murder.
Raven and Octabia in Camp. O is a mess. WOW they are catty to each other. O says "It must suck to come down here and find out your boyfriend is into someone else." OUCH. True but OUCH. Why is she so mean when she grew up with only two supportive people? Yes she should be messed up but should she be a meangirl?
Raven wants to do Finn and Finn wants to talk. "Something happened." She knows and she doesn't want to talk about it ever. She asks if he loves her "Always." I am puking. Stop kissing him. He's awful. Ew. She has the worst taste in men i swear. She NEVER got a good romantic partner. (Princess Mechanic)
Clarke finds a door Bellamy smacks it with his axe. Down they go into the bowels. Mummified bodies. The place is disgusting. No supplies. Boo. Ooh some orange blankets. Bellamy is mad there's no canteen or medkit or decent fricking tent.
A barrel full of oil. Bellamy temper boy kicks it over and VIOLA OMG GUNS. HUGE BELLAMY SMILE
Monty is tripping. Fermented nuts?Or hallucinogenic. Now Jasper is tripping but it's not as nice as Monty's trip. He sees grounders everywhere. Scary. He runs to O for help. She figures out that he's on something. HE tells her he loves her. She figures it's the nuts. She gives him an anti-grounder stick so the grounders won't be able to see him. "Makes sense."
We could have used more of that O in the bunker in season 5.
She gives Miller the hallucinogenic nuts. Lincoln knows.
:Ready to be a bad ass Clarke?" She doesn't want the guns but she knows they need them. SO he offers her shooting lessons.
Oooh. He reaches around her and touches her shoulder, his voice gets smoky and steps back from her. I forgot about the sexiness of that. Watch and learn. He tries to shoot and his bullets are duds.
"Still watching." smirky flirting. She shoots and BOOM. She likes it. B likes it htat she likes it. She's being responsible. "You left miller in charge of the grounders. You must trust him." He wants her to keep him close and she's like. OMG you're gonna run. He thinks the Ark are gonna kill him when they come down. O hates him, so he's leaving.
Tells her to keep practicing. He needs some air. THat was a SHORT scene. To base our Bellarke fantasies on for seven years.
Now he's tripping Jaha. Nightmare land coming up. "I did what I had to do." But Jaha calls him out for all his sins. Now he sees the 320 culling victims. Bellamy can't defend himself against that. All his guilt. He really feels it. Oooh. Sooky. All the dead people calling him murder and coming through the wilderness at him.
Now Clarke is tripping. She's back her jail cell in the Ark. See her dad.
Everyone in the deinguent camp is tripping and one kid is stripping so O takes his clothes.
Raven and Finn are naked in bed. M0nty pops in."I can't change the tide if the moon won't cooperate. It's basic physics."
Clarke realizes her dad vision is not real. The dad vision wants her to forgive her mom. Poor baby clarke is so young here. Everyone's counting on her and it's so hard. She's feeling guilt about torturing Lincoln. Dad says she did the best she could. This is the beginning of Clarke learning about forgiveness and why she could forgive Bellamy and Lxa and all those people.
NOW dad vision calls her a crazy bitch and turns into Dax.
O frees Lincoln. Gives him delinquent clothes.He thinks this will put her in danger. That's because he's a grounder and they are barbarians and would kill someone for doing what she's doing. Jobi nuts go bad and cause vision. So he can sneak out.
He kisses O.
Yo. You should really find a girl your own age man. She's what? 16? 17 at most.
Most beautiful broom in a broom closet of brooms. Raven taking care of the kids. Even Finn is taking care of the kids until he sees Lincoln escaping. He's like get on outta here. Which is, I have to give Finn his due, the best thing he does in a while. He forgives Lincolnd for stabbing him.
Bellamy bad tripping on his 'murder victims' He wants them to kill him. Jaha beats him up. "I can't fight any more." "don't you know? LIfe is a fight." "What am I supposed to do?""Live breathe suffer. if you want the peace of death you're going to have to earn it. You think you dserve to be free of your pain? You think you deserve that gift?"
But actually, the Jaha beating him up is Dax. "You shoulda stayed down there clarke I tried not to kill you. But Shumaway said no witnesses."
Walk away now and I won't kill you. You're choice. His gun misfires as he aims at clarke and Bellamy charges him. Fight. Dax has him on the ground. Clarke charges Dax and he slams her in the gut with the butt. B picks up a bullet and slams it into Dax's jugular. Not coincidentally the place where Clarke stabbed Atom to mercy kill him. A nice little callback.
Dax is gone, B and C are up against the tree. "Are you okay?" Clarke asks?
No I'm not. If my mother she knew what I'd done, who I am? She raised me to be better to be good and all I do is hurt people. I'm a monster."
"Hey you saved my life today. And you may be a total ass half the time, but... I need you."
The look on his face as he looks at her.
"We all need you. None of us would have survived if it weren't for you.
He looks away.
She tells him to come back with him. You have to face it. He says "Like you faced your mom."
You're right. I don't want to face my mom. I don't want to face any of it." She is obsessed with keeping everyone alie.
Why is the music so romantic right now?
Can we figure it out later?
Whenever you're ready.
Bullshit you didn't write this as romantic.
O is pretending that she got high too. She did not. Good cover. Miller says the grounder is gone. Jasper panics.
Bellamy is back. "LEt the grounders come" He's tired of being afraid. Looks at Clarke and they both drop the guns. Finn looks unhappy.
Team Bellarke. Leaders. Friends. Soulmates.
The story has just changed.
O is looking out into the woods. B comes up and gives her an oragne blanket. She takes it. "I don't expec tyou to forgive me but you'll have to find a way to live with me because I'm not going anywhere.
Clarke calls him in to speak to Jaha. B knows O helped the grounder escape. She says it wasnt her and thanks him for the blanket.
Jaha.
CLarke. When you sent us down here, you sent us to die, but miraculaously most of us are still alive and in large part that is because of bellamy." She wants him pardoned like the rest of them.
Bellamy doesn't depend on his better nature. He says "If you wnat to know who wants you dead." Jaha pardons him and asks for who gave him the gun.
Cut to Shumway being arrested. Kane is angry. Shumway thinks he's fighting for what he believes but won't say what that is.
Clarke checks Finn's wound and Finn tries to guilt her about the guns. And he tries to say that Bellamy is the real danger. Clarke TRUSTS him. Finn is horrified. That's because he knows B is his rival. "You and Bellamy are leading us down a dangerous road. I wish you'd talked to me about it first." WHEN was finn the leader? Fucking asswipe. She is like "I wish we talked about a lot of things."
Diana Sydney comes to Shumway and Diana has him killed.
I honestly do sympathize with Diana Sydney's position but she's such a horrible character (dare I say horrible actress I hate her D:) and her plans are so horrible that she, who should have been the good guy, becomes the bad guy. I'm usually for the proletariat, but Diana was vicious and stupid and mean and her plans were bad and unethical and selfish.

Bounty Hunter - No Way Out
Warnings: swearing, blood, injuries, violence.
Pairing: Bellamy Blake x Grounder!reader.
Word count: 5273.
Masterlist.
Serie Masterlist.
“Lock it up.” You heard Miller say as Bellamy parked the rover inside the hanger, turning the engine off. After everyone got out you grabbed Roan’s arm and pulled him out of the rover.
“Where’s Luna?” Raven asked as you made your way around the rover.
“Luna said no.” Octavia said before walking pat her.
“Who the hell is this?” She asked, eyeing Roan with suspicion. You pushed him forward and closed the back door of the rover. “He’s Ice Nation.” Bryan said, hatred in his voice.
“King of the Ice Nation, actually.” Clarke said, making your eyebrows raise in surprise. “King?” You asked, turning to look at Roan who was glaring at you. “What happened to the queen?”
“Lexa killed her.” Clarke said. “Leaving him to be the king.”
“Then congratulations, Roan. Or is it Your Majesty?” You said, the smirk on your face widening when he could speak back due to the gag in his mouth. “This way.” Bellamy said and started to pull him along. “You two, follow me.” He said to Miller and Monty. “Take him to lockup.”
“You wanna use him to get to Ontari?” Raven asked Clarke as they walked out of the room.
“Yes.” She said, her eyes still focused on where they had just left.
“What happened to him arm?” Harper asked from beside her.
“Bellamy shot him.” You said, drawing her attention. “But don’t worry, he deserved it.”
“Good luck getting him to cooperate.” Monty said, sighing.
“If he doesn’t he won’t get the Flame, and if he won’t get the Flame he’s as good as dead within Azgeda.”
“How do you know that?” Clarke asked, turning to you.
“His people have been wanting an Azgeda Commander for years, now that Ontari is the only Nutblida available, It would be a shame for him to go back empty handed.”
Your gaze turned to the door as Bellamy walked back in. “Come on,” he motioned for you and Clarke to follow him. “He’s in lockup.”
You walked after him to the cell, the place giving you deja vu but you ignored it. He typed the code in and the door opened. Roan was sitting on the bench, head rising as he heard you step in. Clarke turned to Bellamy, sending him a scolding loom. He rolled his eyes.
“Sorry about your arm.”
“Makes us even.” He shrugged.
“Good, now that that’s out of the way, let’s talk business.” You said, cutting the glaring between Bellamy and Roan and making him turn to you. “You said we wanted the same thing. I want an Ice Nation Commander.” He said.
“And I can give you one with this.” Clarke said and raised her hand that was blaming the box with the Flame.
“And why would you do that, when you know she’s vowed to wipe you out?” He asked, tilting his head slightly to the side.
“We don’t have a choice.” She sighed and rolled her eyes. “This isn’t just our war. The enemy were up against us after everyone. Including the Ice Nation. The only way to stop her is to get the information off the Flame. And the only way to do that is to put it in Ontari’s head.”
“The Ice Nation isn’t afraid.” He said, shrugging.
“You should be.” Bellamy said, Roan turned to him. “This thing doesn’t care what clan you’re from. It controls people. And it will take over the Ice Nation, just like it took us over, one person at a time, until there’s no one left.”
His words made Roan stay quiet, his face didn’t say anything but his gaze dropped slightly, understanding Bellamy’s words. “It already has Ontari.” Clarke added, noticing his change of energy as well.
“I’m listening.” He said, his face blank from the smug look he had on seconds ago.
“We need to disconnect her before she gets the Flame. Or we’ll be giving Allie exactly what she wants.” She explained. “To do that, we have to abduct her from the center of a city filled with thousands of people whose minds are linked. All of them thinking as one. Whatever one sees, they all see, whatever one hears, they all hear.”
“I get it.” He said, his face stern. “How exactly are you planning to sneak inside or even get to Ontari?”
“Y/N used to live in Polis,” you almost cringed at the use of your name, “she knows every tunnel we can use to sneak out way inside the palace, all the way to the throne room.”
“Y/N?” He asked, turning to you with a smirk. You rolled your eyes. “Don’t let it get to your head.”
“Are you in or not?” Bellamy asked sternly, stepping forward.
He chuckled and stood up from the bench, looking between the three of you. “So when do we leave?”
“Now. We’ll load the rover up and then we’re good to go.” Bellamy said, turning to the door. “Let’s go.”
“Knockout gas. Mount Weather’s finest.” Miller said as he put the metal container in the bag. “As soon as we bring Ontari out, we put ‘em to sleep.”
“Nice.” Bellamy said and patted him on the back before turning to you. “Are you sure you want to come?”
“Bellamy-“
“I’m just saying, your face is basically purple and you still have your shoulder and stomach that are not healed. I don’t want you to get hurt even further.” He said, his face turning concerned.
“Way to tell a girl she’s beautiful but I’ll take it.” You said, making him shake his head but a chuckle left his lips. “But seriously, Bellamy,” your tone turned serious, “I want to go, I need to go. I don’t know where Nyko is and if he’s in Polis then I have to save him.”
“Okay,” he reached out and moved some of your hair away from your face, “just wanted to be sure.”
You stared at him for a few seconds before smiling. “Plus, you need me as your map, you’ll get lost without me.”
“That, too.”
You stayed when’re you were, eyes connected and his hand still cupping your cheek. You wanted to kiss him again but you knew it wasn’t the time nor the place.
“Thirty seconds.” He said, making you frown.
“What?”
“You’ve managed to hold my gaze for thirty seconds. I’m really proud of you, that must have took a lot.” He said sarcastically, making you roll your eyes.
“Shut up.” You said and hit his arm, a smile tugging on your lips.
“Because shes chipped, you have to EMP her like you did me before you give her the Flame.” Raven’s voice broke your moment, making you turned to her approaching figure.
“I thought Jaha destroyed all the wristbands.” Jasper said as he saw the new EMP in her hands.
“So did he. Then I came home.” She said with a smug look on her face, and rightly so. You were always in awe of how smart she was. “There’s only enough usable parts to rebuild one, so use it wisely. Made a few improvements, too.”
“None of which is gonna matter if you can’t get us access to Alie’s code.” Clarke said, stepping forward.
“You worry about the Nightblood. I’ll worry about Alie.” She said with a confident smile.
“How can you access code that doesn’t exist here anymore?” Jasper asked, making the both turn to him.
“We’ve got a plan.” Monty said as he came to stand beside Raven.
“What are we waiting for?” Octavia asked impatiently as she and Roan stepped into the room.
“Let’s move out.” Bellamy said and turned to hug the ones who were staying goodbye. You walked over to Raven, pulling her into a hug. “I have no idea how you do whatever it is that you do, but I’m pretty sure you don’t need much luck on this one.”
She chuckled. “Thank you. Be careful, okay?”
“I’ll try to.” You said and pulled away. You walked to the back of the rover and got in, sitting behind Clarke who was sitting in the passenger’s seat, next to Roan.
“Ready to go, Your Majesty?” You asked him and punched him in his hurt arm. He clenched his jaw.
“As long as you don’t screw this up, yes, I am.” He said and punched you in your shoulder, the one that still wasn’t healed.
“I like the way you play, I’ll give you that.” You said through clenched teeth.
You drove for less than an hour until you reached the splitting point. “There it is. We stop here.” Clarke said, pointing up ahead. Bellamy stopped the rover. She jumped out and started walking towards the end of the road. You got out along with Roan and followed her. From where you were standing you could see the tall palace of Polis, indicating you were close.
“Alright,” you said, turning to Roan and Clarke, “this is where we split up. Roan, you already know where the tunnel is, right?”
“Of course I do.” He said and pointed to his left.
“Just making sure.” You said with a small smirk. He rolled his eyes and turned to Clarke. “I’m gonna need the Flame.”
“Yeah, good luck with that.” You muttered.
“Look, this only works if they send Ontari out to get it.” He said, ignoring your comment. “If they don’t see it, they won’t do that. Not much of a trap without the bait.”
He face wasn’t settled, ripped between the two options laying in front of her. She nodded after a few seconds, taking out the box that held the Flame. “Fine. But I’m coming with you.”
“No way. That is not the plan.” Bellamy said, shaking his head.
“It is now.” She said and handed Roan the box. “You’ll need to look like my prisoner.” He said, making Bellamy protest.
“No.” He objected but she didn’t listen to him. “Clarke.” He said sternly, making her finally look at him. ”We still don’t know if he’s on our side, he could just hand over the Flame to Ontari and screw us over.”
“I’m right here.” Roan said, glaring at Bellamy.
“He knows what big of a threat we’re facing, he’s gonna help us.” She said, trying to convince him. It didn’t work.
“No. Even if he does give up the Flame as least your life is not on the line.”
“Bellamy, I have to do this. I’m not letting that out of my sight.”
“Clarke-“
“I’m the only one who can activate it, without me, Ontari can’t ascend.”
“She’s got a pretty compelling argument.” You said, but the glare Bellamy sent you made you look back down and shut up.
“Can we talk in privet?” He asked Clarke. She nodded and they walked a few feet away from you.
“Looks like lover boy doesn’t trust me yet.” Roan said, making you look up at him.
“Yeah, I don’t really blame him. You’re sketchy.” You shrugged your shoulders.
“But he does trust you, they all do. And you trust them, enough to reveal your name. How the fuck did that happen?”
“Building trust is a project, Majesty, you gotta start off by saving some lives and then try and be nice. That usually works.” You said, making him roll him eyes but a small smile tugged on his lips.
“You’re funny, I’ll give you that.”
“I’m honored you think that, really. And you should smile more, brings out your eyes.” You said and motioned with your hand to his face. Your small talk was cut off by Clarke and Bellamy making their way back towards you.
“Let’s go.” She said to Roan. He nodded and walked after her.
“You agreed?” You asked Bellamy with surprise.
“Yes. But we’re not leaving them alone. We’ll be following them.”
“Yeah, that sounds more like you.” You said, making him chuckle. You walked back to the rover, pulling out all the weapons you needed and started making your way to Polis.
You led them through the tunnels and when you finally reached the hiding spot, the sun had already risen. As they pulled out their guns and settled down you looked through the metal bars of the window, watching for any movement. It was the perfect hiding spot, being able to see but now be seen. You watched as Roan and Clarke made their way closer to the palace itself. “They’re here.” You informed the rest of the group. Bellamy came to stand beside you, a rifle in his hands as he stared through the scope.
“Are we even gonna be done fighting?” You heard Bryan’s quiet voice ask.
“Hell yeah.” Came Miller’s response. “We’re gonna build a house on a lake. We’re gonna plant corn.” They both chuckled.
They had hope, hope for a better future. And that was something beautiful. Yet you couldn’t help but feel a ting of jealousy in your heart. You used to live in a house just like Miller described, when times were peaceful. But you ruined that, you ruined the peace and happiness in that place.
“And raise chickens.” Bryan added with a chuckle, tearing you away from your thoughts. “And grow old.”
You turned your head to your right and saw Octavia’s fallen face. You knew she and Lincoln had the same plan, to move away from Arkadia and to start a life, just the two of them. While you had a memory of peace she didn’t have a clue of it. You decided against your better judgment and put your hand on her shoulder, making her look up. Her eyes softened for a second before she turned to look through the small window, yet she didn’t move your hand.
“1 o’clock.” Bellamy said, making you drop your hand and look past the window as well. Roan and Clarke were getting closer to the entry. “On the signal. He sees Ontari. We wait until she’s standing in front of them. Then we launch the gas.”
“How can you see something from here?” You asked while squinting your eyes.
“The scope.” He said and moved his head away from it. “Here.”
You looked through the scope and saw everything like a magnifying glass. There was Roan, holding the rope that was holding Clarke as his ‘hostage’. “That’s so cool.” You whispered, hearing him chuckle beside you.
“One day I’ll teach you how to use a gun, I think you’ll like it.”
You pulled away from the scope and turned to him, he was smiling slightly, bringing a small smile to your face as well. “I just might take you up in that offer.”
“They’re gonna be holding their breaths.” Bryan said, making you tear your eyes from Bellamy and turn to him. “So we gotta move fast.”
“Anyone who get in our way, we use non-lethal force. These people are not the enemy. They’re being controlled. They only thing we’re here to kill is Alie. Is that clear?” He said, looking between all of you.
“Clear.” Octavia responded, keeping her gaze on the window.
“Clear.” Miller as as well.
“Good.” Bellamy said before turning back to look into the scope. You couldn’t really see clearly from far away but you still tell which were Roan and Clarke. Bellamy flickered the light, signalling Roan. He stepped forward, raising his hand and between his fingers was the Flame.
“I am Roan, king of Azgeda.” He yelled out. “And I have what the Commander seeks.”
All the people around him rose from their knees and turned to him. From their right, a man came from the palace along with two guards, stopping in front of them.
“Who’s that?” You asked while keeping your eyes straight.
“Jaha.” Bellamy answered.
“What the fuck is he doing here?” Octavia asked angrily.
“You see Ontari?” Miller asked, turning to Bellamy.
“No. Hold.” He nodded at him before going back to the scope. “Something’s wrong.” He said after a few seconds. “Do it! Do it now!” He ordered Miller, his face panicked.
Miller and Bryan began preparing but before they could, people grabbed them and shoved them to the wall. “On your knees! Drop your weapon!”
You wanted to help them but another one grabbed you from behind. You knocked your head back and elbowed him in the rids but he didn’t budge, just like the guards on Luna’s rig. “Against the wall!” He yelled and shoved you to the wall. You saw all the others pinned to the wall. You tried to fight him but he tied your hands together roughly. They dragged you towards the palace through the tunnel and pushed you to your knees. They took Miller forward and started punching him.
“No! Stop!” Bryan yelled but the guard that was beside him punched him and shut him up.
The man who was delivering the punched to Miller’s face stopped, looking up. “Let’s go.”
“She wants Bellamy.” The one behind you said, making you fight harder against the restraints as they lifted him up. “No. No, stop!” You yelled, but got no answer but a punch to your jaw, knocking you to the ground, then a kick to your stomach. You groaned, trying to moved away.
“Leave her alone!” You heard Bellamy yell.
“Where are you taking him?” Octavia asked desperately, but they ignored her.
“Hey!” You yelled as you rose back to your knees. “She asked you a question, where the fuck are you taking him?!”
“Hey, it’s okay, it’s okay.” Bellamy said calmly as they dragged him down the tunnel.
“No.” You shook you head, knowing the the ‘she’ they were talking about was Allie. You couldn’t lose Bellamy, too.
“If I were you, I’d hit the deck.” You heard a voice yell from ahead of the tunnel. One guard pointed his flashlight forward, revealing a guy who looked about Bellamy’s age.
“Murphy?” Bellamy asked quietly. “Everyone hit the ground!” He yelled after a few seconds before dropping to the ground. You didn’t know who the guy was but you trusted Bellamy, so you fell to the ground as well. Gunshots were fired and you crawled in a ball on the ground, trying to not get hit. The sounds were loud, too loud for anything you were used to. You closed your eyes shut and waited until it stopped. When it finally stopped you opened your eyes, looking up and seeing the guy approach Bellamy. “Fancy meeting you here.”
“More will come. We have to hurry.” You heard Indra say as she approached Octavia, helping her out of her cuffs.
You saw Pike, walking over to Bellamy and releasing him from his restraints. You clenched your jaw in anger. Why the fuck was he still alive? You didn’t have time to even try and get up before Bellamy walked over to you, crouching down.
“Hey, are you okay?” He asked softly as he cut the rope that was bonding your wrists together. “Are you?” You asked and looked him over.
“Yes.”
He helped you up and you resisted the urge to hug him and pull him close to you, instead, you fixed your gaze on the man who killed your brother. Bellamy followed your gaze, then placed both of his hands on your shoulders and turned you to him. “None of that. Not now. I understand your anger, I do, but right now we need to figure out what we do.”
“Fine.” You said sternly with a clenched jaw, but he wasn’t convinced. He gently cupped you cheek and made you finally look at him and meet his eyes. “I’m said fine.”
“Just checking.” He said with a small smile and a wink. You resisted the smile that threatened to rise on your face and rolled your eyes.
“What are you doing here?” He asked Murphy.
“You’re welcome.” He said and then turned to look at you. “You got yourself a Grounder girlfriend, that’s cute. You got a little something..” he motioned with his hand to his face, making you roll your eyes. You opened your mouth to say something but stopped when you heard Octavia’s voice.
“You’re with Pike?”
“Only way we get out of here is together.” Indra said as she helped her up.
“He killed Lincoln.” She said, making the woman’s eyes turn to Pike. “Put him on his knees. Shot him in the head.”
“O. Indra’s right. We need every fighter we can get.” Bellamy said, but it only made her turn to him with a glare.
“Not him.” You muttered, making him turn to you with a look you couldn’t quite figure.
“Did you guys miss the part where it’s time to go?” Murphy said, making you tear your eyes from Bellamy and then to him.
“We’re not leaving.” Bellamy said and shook his head.
“We just saved your lives. Why do I think I’m gonna regret that?” He said annoyingly as he got closer to you.
“Clarke is in trouble.”
“Clarke’s always in trouble.” He rolled his eyes.
“They took her and the Flame to the tower. It’s a safe bet Ontari’s there, too. Everything we need to stop Allie is in the same place.” He explained, a desperate tone to his voice.
“If we go up that tower, we won’t be able to fight our way out again.” Octavia said as she approached him.
“If we stop Alie, we won’t have to.” You said, making sense of Bellamy’s idea. He nodded to you then looked back at Murphy. He sighed but handed Bellamy a gun. “Up the tower. Great. Does the Grounder know how to use a gun?” He asked him as if you weren’t standing beside him.
“She can.” You snapped, glaring at him. He smirked, not bothered by your glare.
“Just asking.” He shrugged, offering you a gun.
You rolled your eyes but took the gun from his hand, attaching it to your belt. “If we do this, we need a plan. Getting up that tower isn’t going to be easy.” You said and turned to Bellamy, hoping he had something in mind.
“We need a way up, one we can take and not be noticed.”
You nodded, thinking the options over in your head. “There’s the elevator. I’m guessing about two to three people are operating it so all we have to do is take them down and we have a way up.”
“And we won’t be noticed? Won’t they send backup?” Pike asked, making you move your gaze to him with a clenched jaw.
“No.” You said, not even trying to hide your glare. “There’s a ladder as well so some of us can take it.”
“Okay.” Bellamy said, nodding. “Lead the way.”
You started walking towards where the elevator was, hoping that not more than three men will be there. “Elevator? Really?” Bellamy asked as we walked beside you. “From the last time you were in an elevator, you didn’t really like it, did you?”
“Shut up.” You chuckled and pushed his chest gently.
After you got close enough you hid behind the wall, the two Grounders next to the wheel. Bellamy and Pike walked forward while the rest of you followed behind them. Pike raised his gun and shot both the Grounders dead. Your jaw clenched. Yet before you could say something, Bellamy beat you to it.
“Hey! I told you, that is not how we’re doing this.” He scolded him.
“They were in our way.” He said and walked past him.
“These people are not out enemy.” Bellamy argued as he walked beside him. “They’re being controlled by Alie and we can save them.”
“There’s gonna be a lot more if these people if we don’t move.” Miller said as you got closer to the wheel.
“I’ll bring it down.” Indra said and walked over to the handle, gripping it with both of her hands and pulling it down.
“Once we’re up, you blow the elevator and then climb.” Bellamy instructed.
“Destroy the ladder behind us. Got it.” Bryan said before turning to prepare everything they needed to blow the place up.
“Come on, you do realize we don’t have a way down, right?” Murphy said, eyeing Bellamy.
“A problem for another day.” Indra said, but his gaze stayed on Bellamy.
“Let’s go, our ride’s here.” Bellamy said, ignoring the problem Murphy brought up.
“I’m coming with you.” You said and stepped forward. He shook his head and opened his mouth to say something, but you quickly shut him up.
“I’m coming. You can’t stop me.”
You stared at each other for a couple of seconds before he sighed. “Fine. Let’s go.”
You stood still as the elevator moved, your hand was ready to reach for your knife and pull it out any second.
“You get that we’re screwed, right?” Murphy said, breaking the silence. “Allie already knows that we’re coming.”
“This plan will work.” You said, keeping your head on the door. “It has to, or else we’re all dead.”
“Where did you come from, anyway?” He asked, you resisted the urge to roll your eyes.
“I owe her my life.” Bellamy said, making you look up in surprise.
“That’s why you’re out here saving his people?” He asked you. You finally turned to look at him, seeing the slight smug look on hah face. “Shouldn’t he be doing you a favor?”
“He saved my life as well, so the feeling is mutual.” You said before glancing a Bellamy, finding his eyes already on you.
“Do you need some privacy? I mean, we’re in the middle of a war but sex doesn’t have a time, does it?”
You tore your eyes from Bellamy’s and looked back at the door, trying to ignore the hot feeling on your face. “Shut up, Murphy.” You heard Bellamy mutter from behind you. “Why are you here?”
“I’m just trying to survive.” Murphy said, his tone clean from the smugness from before. “You’re not the only one here trying to save someone you care about.” He added after a few seconds.
The elevator suddenly came to a stop. You looked behind at Bellamy and he nodded before grabbing your arm and pulling you beside him. You opened your mouth to protest but a loud banging interrupted you.
“Coming in.” He said before leaping forward, trying to hold the two doors together to keep anyone from barging in. You joined him, kicking the ones who tried to get in while putting pressure on the door.
“Murphy, get the baton ready.” Bellamy ordered him. Although you were trying to hold them, the doors kept opening until you could see who you were facing. “Shock him, Murphy!” Bellamy yelled.
He stepped forward and hit the man with the baton, sending him to the floor. Unfortunately for you, he wasn’t the only one you were dealing with. More and more came to the door and Murphy managed to shock them and keep the out. One of them grabbed Bellamy by his neck and pulled him out. “Bellamy!” You called as you grabbed him and pulled him back. You kicked who you could before you and Murphy tried to close the doors, but it seemed almost impossible. A man jumped into the elevator, sending you to the floor with him. He started punching you but you blocked his third blow and flipped over. You pulled out your knife and stabbed him in the leg, hoping it was enough to keep him down but it wasn’t. He tried to get your knife and when he couldn’t, he sent a punch to your eye, then climbed back on top of you. He wrapped his hands around your neck and started choking you. You stabbed him in his stomach three times but he didn’t let go. You raised your hand to stab him neck and pushed the knife in, but he didn’t let go. It was like he was dying but he couldn’t feel it, five stab wounds, one in the neck, and he still wasn’t down. A shot rang through the elevator and he dropped on top on you, dead. His hands finally loosened and you gasped for air. His body was pulled from you and you saw Bellamy crouching down beside you.
“Hey, hey, are you okay?” He asked and gently held your head in his hands.
“Yeah, I’m fine.” You said, nodding your head as you tired to catch your breath. “Are you?”
“I’m good.” He reassured you before helping you up.
“Five stab wounds and he wasn’t down. I have no idea how we’re gonna manage to get to the throne room.”
The elevator started moving again, alerting you that you were getting closer to the top floor. You climbed up on top on the elevator and pulled your masks on. You waited until you heard noises from below you, meaning someone was there. Bellamy opened the hatchet and threw in the metal container. Soon enough, there was pink gas leaking through the hatchet. You waited a few seconds before climbing down and walking down the hall. You led them to the throne room, turning around the corner. You stopped in front of it and took off your masks before entering. Clarke was tied up, blood dripping from the wounds on her chest. “Bellamy, stop him!” She yelled.
You ran to her, releasing her from the restraints. “Are you okay?” You asked as you cut the final piece from around her neck. “Is she alive? Is she breathing?” She asked Murphy desperately, only then you noticed her mother, dropping to the floor from being hung by the neck.
“It’s okay. She’s breathing.” He reassured her.
She nodded before turning to you. “Jaha had the Flame. Get it.” She instructed you, pointing to the man who was laying on the floor. You nodded and ran to him, crouching down and searching his pockets. “I got the Flame.” You said as you head the small chip in your hand.
“Her pulse is weak.” Clarke said from her spot beside Ontari. Black blood was dripping from the wound on her head to the floor, you were careful not to touch it when you moved beside her.
“At least she’s alive.” Bellamy said and moved to stand beside you.
“Here, hold this to the wound.” She said to Murphy, handing him a piece of fabric. He did as she asked and pressed it beneath her head.
“Come on, what are we gonna do?” He asked, turning to look at Bellamy.
“I need a flashlight.” Clarke said, her voice breaking.
“First we take out the chip. Then we put in the Flame.” Bellamy said as he pulled the EMP out of his bag.
“Her pupils are unresponsive.” Clarke said, drawing your attention to her.
“What does that mean?” You asked her. She turned to you, an almost defeated look on her face. “She’s brain dead. She can’t give us the kill code.”
“Fuck..” you muttered, running your hand down your face. You were trapped inside a tower with people trying to kill you all around it, and your last hope was gone. There was no way you will make it out alive, not when the time was running out and you had nowhere to run. You looked over a Bellamy, the same defeated look on his face. His eyes met yours and you saw the hopelessness in them. You wanted to tell him that everything was going to be okay but you weren’t so sure about that.
“We’re trapped here.” Murphy said, but your eyes stayed on Bellamy. You sighed, knowing that death was knocking on the door, and didn’t have a choice but to let it in.

Fighting For... The Warriors Will
Summary: We survived. Though we’re no longer together, separated by space, we survived the end of the human race. There were losses, but in the end, we survived. Six years is a long time. We’re no longer the same, hardened by our time in the unforgiving ground. We’ve managed to survive everything thrown at us so far, but this time, this time, this might be what breaks us. And we might not be able to come back from it.

“Has there been any word about YN?” “No. last anyone saw of her was when she entered her room. No one saw her leave it. Those in her guard are dead. And those who were willing to fight are dead. Wonkru stalks every hall and room trying to find her. I heard someone saying trikdaun is back.” “Shadow stalker.”
“For a year or so, YN wasn’t seen. They knew she was there, but no one ever saw her. She stuck to the shadows, stalking.” “Well, let’s hope that’s what she’s doing now.”
“The whispers are true. Our beloved Blodreina has fallen ill. These may be her final hours.”
“For the last six years, we have lost hundreds of people. We can’t afford to lose anymore. I will negotiate for Wonkru to enter the valley peacefully, so that no more shall suffer.” “You’re not in command here! Not even over the first battalion! Blodreina gave that honor to me!”
“There is someone who can lead us! Nyxlana is our commander!”
“YN woke up right away. Why isn’t she waking up?” “The flame affects every commander differently.”
“I lied. I have done this before. Four years ago. I put the flame in YN’s head.”
“I’d been trying to make her the commander for some time. She had the people’s support before Roan interfered, she’d have it again. But she was loyal to Octavia and she refused. Each time I brought it, she turned me down. And then Raelyn died and she was upset. She came to me, wanting to unite everyone. By then, she was tired of all the fighting. So, i put the flame in her head.” “If you did that, then why do you have the flame and why isn’t YN the commander?”
“The nightblood child did not recite the lineage and is, therefore, not the true commander. Instead, she ran, abandoning all of us like a coward. She is not Wonkru, she is an enemy of Wonkru, and like all of our enemies, she will be dealt with.”
Bellamy was laying on the bench, staring up at the ceiling when he heard movement, clenching his jaw.
“I have nothing to say to you.”
“Not even me?”
Bellamy sat up so fast he should’ve gotten whiplash, watching as YN jumped down from the ceiling.
“YN?”
She stood up, flipping her hood back, Bellamy’s eyes widening. Her hair was tied back, the top half no longer red but black, black paint around her eyes.
“Where have you been?”
YN walked towards him, slightly shaking her head.
“Octavia has guards looking for you! If she finds out you’re here-”
She reached out, placing her hand over his mouth, shooting him a look as she nodded towards the door.
“Shush.”
He nodded, YN lowering her hand as she stopped back slightly.
“How are you here? Where have you been?”
Her face fell, a dark look passing over before she shook her head.
“I unfortunately know every nook and cranny of this place. I lived in the shadows for some time.”
“Trikdaun.”
Her eyes widened, tilting her head to the side as she gasped.
“How do you know that name?”
“I overheard some people saying it.”
She nodded, moving to sit down on the bench beside Bellamy, looking over at him.
“I need you to tell me what happened so I can get you out of here.”
“YN-”
“I’m not asking Bellamy. I need to know so I can help.”
“Madi ascended?”
Bellamy nodded, sighing softly.
“Yes.”
YN shook her head, returning to her pacing.
“I- Clarke asked you to protect her and instead you put the flame in her head?”
Bellamy stood up, shaking his head.
“YN please, you have to understand- we were trying to save everyone. I- I was trying to save you.”
She shook her head, glancing at Bellamy.
“I’m not yours to protect.”
Her eyes widened when the door screeched open, turning and running to hide as Bellamy laid back down on the bench.
“You’ll be happy to know that the worms are gone. Clarke took them alone with the usurper you tried to replace me with.”
“And you’re still ready to go to war, even though Indra has told you how many of your people would die? What kind of leader does that?”
“You have no idea what you’re talking about.”
Bellamy scoffed, sitting up, glancing at Octavia.
“Don’t I? O, you turned this place into a story from your childhood. I mean, the Red Queen? It’s a joke and I can still tell when you’re scared.”
“I came here to save your life. Now I’m not so sure that I should.”
“Well, this should be good.”
“I know you’re still trying to save me, Bell. but you can’t save someone who’s already dead. Ask YN when you see her. The YN you knew died the day you chose to leave her behind.”
She walked towards the door, turning back towards Bellamy.
“You know, for some time I hated you because Lincoln died while YN lived. Turns out, there was no reason to hate you for that because she died anyway. She died when her daughter died.”
“When you killed her, you mean?”
Octavia clenched her jaw, glaring at him.
“She died when she decided to no longer love you. As much as you hate me, YN has done the very same things. You poisoned me, your own sister, to save the life of the traitor you love. How can you still love her, but hate me?”
Octavia banged on the door, walking out once it opened. Bellamy turned when he saw YN, watching as she schooled her features, looking up at him.
“Don’t fight.”
“What?”
“If none of you fight in the arena, then the discourse that’s already growing in Wonkru will continue to grow.”
“You fought.”
“To save my family. And in the end- it didn’t even matter because she still won.”
Bellamy shook his head, grinning slightly.
“I don’t think so. She didn’t slam an axe into the wall.”
She huffed, shaking her head.
“It doesn’t matter. An open rebellion will work. It worked before, twice. People expect me to rebell, I’ve been doing it for years. But you? Blodreina’s brother? It’ll enlight the spark that’s already started.”
She walked back to the place she had jumped out from, climbing back up into the vents.
“YN?”
“I can’t be here. I have to keep moving. If I stop I’m dead.”
“Monty?”
Monty’s eyes widened as he rushed to me, pulling me close and hugging me.
“YN.”
He leaned back, looking down at me, shaking his head.
“I know how to stop the war.”
I nodded, clenching my jaw.
“Tell me what you need.”
“Stop!”
Bellamy looked over, watching as Monty walked into the arena, a familiar black cloak following after him.
“Monty, get out of here!”
Octavia jumped up, yelling.
“Guards, take him away!”
The hooded figure turned, sliding a piece of scrap metal into the handle of the door as Monty walked forward.
“Octavia told you we have to march, that we have to fight for the one place left where we can survive, but she knows that’s not true.”
“Monty, you do not belong in here!”
Monty shook his head, pulling the blanket off of what he was carrying, lifting it slightly.
“The hydrofarm is working again! Soon, it’ll be processing enough food to feed all of us here. Using the same techniques, we can grow crops in the wasteland. Ask Octavia, she’s seen it with her own eyes.”
The hooded figure stepped forward as the crowd started to murmur, lifting their hood back, everyone going quiet as YN stepped forward, glaring up at Octavia.
“If you want to go to war, go, but at least let the people know they have a choice.”
She turned, yelling as she looked the crowd over.
“For years, Blodreina has ruled with an iron grip, taking your choices away from you!”
“Open fire.”
Octavia growled when no one moved, grabbing the guards gun and aiming, pulling the trigger.
“YN!”
YN stopped, turning and looking at the spot in the ground where dust rose, looking up at Octavia, glaring.
“The choice is yours! Live or die! Nou Blodreina nowe!” (blodreina no more) “Nou Blodreina nowe! Nou Blodreina nowe!”
The people continued to chant as YN glared up at Octavia. They tore down the fencing surrounding the pits, jumping down into pits, Miller lifting his gun and aiming it before Octavia reached out, placing her hand on his gun and lowering it, shaking her head before she walked away. YN looked over at Monty, grinning.
“You did it Monty.”
Monty nodded, turning towards YN.
“Thanks for getting me here.”
YN shrugged as Bellamy walked towards them, huffing.
“It’s not the first time I’ve been in a rebellion, doubt it’d be the last.”
“You did it.”
Monty nodded, turning towards Bellamy.
“I had help.”
Bellamy turned, his eyes widening slightly when he saw YN missing.
“Where’d she go?”
Monty turned, looking up at the throne where Octavia sat, his voice worried as he tilted his head to the side.
“Where’d she go?”
“We have to find them.”
“Why? She didn’t shoot us, right? That’s gotta mean something.”
Indra walked towards them, shaking her head.
“It means she lost the battle, not the war. We should split up, but be careful. There are people here that would give their lives to save Blodreina.”
They all jumped when an alarm sounded, echoing throughout the bunker, the halls lighting red.
“What’s that?”
“The fire alarm.”
Monty's eyes widened, slightly shaking his head.
“The hydrofarm.”
They rushed out of the pits, following behind Monty as he led the way to the hydrofarm. Monty came to a stop, shaking his head as he looked over at Octavia.
“What did you do?”
Indra clenched her jaw, shaking her head as she looked at the growing fire.
“Took away the choice.”
Octavia turned, her voice carrying.
“You still have one, stay here and die, or march with me and live.”
She glanced at Bellamy before she walked past them, Bellamy shaking his head as he stepped forward.
“Where’s YN? I know she came after you.”
Octavia turned, glancing back at the hydrofarm.
“Where do you think?”
Bellamy’s eyes widened as she walked off, turning towards the hydrofarm, running towards it.
“YN! YN!”
“Bellamy no!”
Monty and Indra ran after him, grabbing Bellamy, pulling him back from the door.
“No! Stop! I have to-”
They were thrown back as the fire exploded, the flames reaching the door. Bellamy shook his head as he sat up, tears streaming down his face.
“YN!”

The fierce and broken

Masterlist
“Anya, look! Over there.”
You glanced at a fire in the distance. Oh, great. Burning alive would probably be better than whatever Anya had planned for you. You didn’t understand why she hadn’t just killed you? Was she toying with you? Anya stood up, “a signal fire.”
“Reapers.”
Anya glared at you before turning to face Tristan. “Let them know we see it. I'll send my fastest rider to warm the commander.”
“Is the boy dead?” Anya asked the masked grounder.
He nodded. No, no, no. Finn couldn’t be dead. How could you have let them kill him? You should have done more. He was your friend and he trusted you to have his back. You fought back tears not wanting to give the grounders the satisfaction of seeing your pain.
“Good,” she looked down at you. “Kill the girl, then catch up.”
The moment Anya turned her back you tried to run away, but the masked grounder yanked on your chains.
______
The first thing you saw when you awoke a two headed horse. You said nothing, pretending to still be unconscious. Try and live a little longer. The horse suddenly came to a halt at a hilltop, where the grounder surprisingly let you down gently.
You took a few steps back, prepared to run when a rustling noise from behind caught your attention. Tears of happiness threatened to spill from your eyes when Finn appeared from behind some trees. You ran over and hugged him, “Finn. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. I don't understand how...”
“Lincoln saved my life. He killed one of his own people to do it.”
You turned to see the masked grounder remove his mask, it was Lincoln. “That signal fire? That was you?”
He nodded, “we needed a distraction.”
“And I’d say it worked.”
Lincoln looked at Finn before shaking his head, “not well enough.”
You and Finn turned to see another signal fire in the distance. Finn looked worried, “what does it mean?”
“It means Anya knows Alba is not dead,” Lincoln turned away and started to walk towards the tree lines. “We need to hurry. Let's hope they follow the horse.”
“Where are we going?” You asked.
“Somewhere they won’t follow.”
You bit down on your bottom lip, as Lincoln lead you towards some caves. “where does this lead to?”
“Everywhere. There's a tunnel to your camp. If we make it through, we should get there before Tristan.” Just as you reached the tunnels arrows started to fly pass you. “Go. Go!”
______
Once I’m the Reaper tunnels, Lincoln lit a small fire to make a torch and told us we needed to keep moving. I noticed him limping slightly, it was hard to notice in the dim light but I eventually saw the arrow sticking out of his side.
You interrupted Finn and Lincoln’s conversation about reapers to offer Lincoln some help. “I should clean that before it gets infected.”
Lincoln shrugged at your offer, “I've fought battles with worse wounds than this.”
“We're not in a battle right now,” you pointed out.
“Yes, we are.”
You looked at him curiously for a moment, watching as he pushed the arrow out of his side. “Why are you helping us?”
“This can't just be about Octavia,” Finn added
“You don’t need to tell us,” you shook your head. “Give me your knife, I’m going to heat the blade. You might want something to bite down on.”
Lincoln scoffed. “You people are so soft. If you don't learn to be more,” he let out a whine of pain as you pressed the blade against his skin to stop the bleeding. “What my people are doing to yours is wrong.”
You gave Lincoln a minute to rest before he insisted on walking again. Finn studied the grounder reading a map. “Wait. If you never were down here, how'd you map it?”
“Spoils of war.”
Finn shook his head still confused by Lincoln’s comment, but you understood it straight away. He had taken it off a dead body. You put a hand over your mouth to stop yourself from letting out a noise of disgust when you saw trailers piles of bodies. Finn put his arm in front of you, “did you hear that?”
You shook your head, and waited. Then you heard it, shouting in the distance.
“What is that?” You asked in a whisper.
“Reapers.” Lincoln handed a book and knife to Finn, “make sure Octavia gets them.” The shouting was getting louder, meaning the reapers were getting closer. “I'm gonna lead them away. Wait until they follow me, then run.”
You frowned, “I’d they catch you they will kill you.”
Finn spoke with Lincoln briefly before he went off. You and Finn ran as far as you could until a reaper found you. The reaper shoved you to the ground and held a knife up to Finn’s throat. Oh shit. Finn reached for a rock and bashed the reaper of the head with it. A look of horror washed over his face when the realisation of what he did sunk in.
Grounder, reaper, sky crew. It didn’t matter. All of them were human.
You rushed over to Finn and pressed your hands to his face, trying to get his attention away from the dead body by his feet. “Don’t look at him, look at me!” Finn slowly looked at you. “I know how it feels, I slit Caliban's throat to try and save myself, save you, get back to camp and warn them.” You suddenly felt your own tears threatening to spill. “We need to keep going okay?”
You stop by a stream where Finn begins to wash the reaper blood of his hands, while you did your best to clean your face of dried blood, dirt, and sweat the best you could. You did this in silence until Finn cleared his throat. “Do you think I should have fought for her?”
“Finn, don’t.”
“Clarke, I love her.” He stopped washing his hands and sat on the ground. “I’m in love with her.”
You could sense his hesitation, “but?”
“I love Raven and...”
“You broke her heart,” you sighed. “Finn this isn’t any of my business, please don’t drag me into this. We need to focus on getting back.”
“Yeah, your right.” He stood up again, and offered you a hand to your feet. “I just want to say one more thing, thank you.”
You looked at him puzzled, “what for?”
“Coming on this adventure with me,” he said with a chuckle. “Al you would have tried to save that grounder's life even if I wasn’t at risk. You have been there for Octavia, Raven, hell you even look out for Murphy. And if I wasn’t for you I’m sure I would be dead.”
“Lincoln would have saved you.”
Finn raised his eyebrows at you, “I don’t know if he would have fought so hard for just me.”
You opened your mouth to argue that he was wrong when a loud explosion came from the direction of the camp. “We need to go now.”
______
“Alba and Finn! They're back!”
Bellamy, Miller, and Octavia rushed to the gates when they saw you entering the camp. “Is everyone okay? We heard an explosion. What happened?”
Bellamy clenched his jaw, “Murphy happened.”
You noticed the bruising that was around Bellamy’s neck. Murphy...you couldn’t dwell on what your friend might have done. Jasper ran over to the small group, “Thank God! Where have you been? Where's Monty?”
“Monty’s gone?” You asked, shocked.
“We need to leave, now.” Finn said cutting in, “All of us do. There's an army of grounders, unlike anything we've ever seen, coming for us right now. We need to pack what we can and run.”
“Like hell we do!” Bellamy snapped. “We knew this was coming.”
“Not like this,” you said stepping forward. “Believe me when I say we aren’t strong enough to fight them off, if it wasn’t for Lincoln we would be dead. I don’t know what your decision is, but you better make it fast.”
Octavia turned from her brother to face you, “you saw Lincoln?”
“Yeah,” you nodded. “He killed one of his own to save us.”
“You expect us to trust a grounder?” Bellamy scoffed. “This is our home now. We built this from nothing with our bare hands! Our dead are buried behind that wall in this ground! Our ground! The grounders think they can take that away. They think that because we came from the sky, we don't belong here. But they're yet to realize one very important fact. We are on the ground now, and that means we are grounders!”
A few delinquents began chanting with Bellamy while Finn gave Octavia the gifts from Lincoln. Clarke walked over and added her input as well, while you looked around the camp for Raven.
Just as you opened your mouth to ask if anybody had seen her, you noticed her. “Raven!” You screamed running towards her, “Raven!”
You heard Bellamy saying that Murphy shot her. Finn caught Raven before she fell to the ground, “get her into the drop-ship!”
_______
You clenched your teeth as Raven squeezed your hand painfully tight as Clarke cauterised the gunshot wound.
Finn was pacing back and forth, “how did Murphy even get a gun?”
“Long story.”
“We got lucky.” Raven smiled. “If Murphy hit the fuel tank instead of me, we'd all be dead.”
You frowned not finding the joke funny. Raven had become a good friend to you, and truthfully you’d be lost without her.
“Wait, there's rocket fuel down there? Enough to build a bomb?” Clarke asked.
You eyes Clarke suspiciously, you had a pretty good idea of what she was thinking. Raven tried to sit up, “enough to build hundreds of bombs... if we had any gunpowder left.”
“What about the reapers?” Bellamy asked, changing the subject. “Maybe they'll help us. The enemy of my enemy is my friend, right?”
You share a look with Finn before shaking your head, “they won’t help, trust me.”
Finn stepped back, “can Raven walk or not?”
“No.” Clarke answered, “we will need to carry her.”
“The hell you will.” Raven tried to get off the table, “I'm good to go.”
“Hey, your not going anywhere.” Raven pulled at a face at you, “the bullet is still inside you. Until we take it out you can’t go anywhere, it’s not safe.”
You felt guilty, but you were determined to keep Raven safe. You listened to Finn and Bellamy bicker between themselves before you had enough. “Will guys stop it?” They both turned to stare at you. “The grounders are coming now, if we are going to leave it needs to be now. Finn I need you to help me find a stretcher.”______
Bellamy started to lead the delinquents into the forest with Clarke, and Finn standing beside him at the front. Octavia was on lookout, you had a brief reunion with your friend before you left camp. Octavia hugged you and filled you in on what Murphy had done. Sighing you glanced down at Raven, who looked pissed. She wasn’t happy about being carried on a stretcher.
Suddenly everybody came to a halt, something was wrong. “Everybody get back to camp now!”
The delinquents quickly turned around and headed back to the camp, as the gunners went back to their posts as you helped Raven get back inside the drop-ship.
You helped her sit down, “are you okay?”
“I am,” she nodded. “I’m glad you are back...I was so worried when you and Finn never came back.”
You crouched down to Raven’s level when she started to cry. “I’m not going to lie it was rough, but me and Finn are fine. And you will be too, soon as this is all over Clarke will fix you up.”
Raven shook her head, you for the feeling something else had happened. “That’s not it...I got...I don’t even know what I was thinking. When you guys were gone I slept with Bellamy.” You stared at her wide-eyed not knowing what to say. “You guys were almost being killed while I was-”
“It doesn’t matter,” you cut her off. “What happened before doesn’t matter, we need to focus on surviving tonight.”
Raven opened her mouth to reply when Finn, Clarke, and Bellamy entered the drop-ship. “We've got twenty five rifles with twenty rounds each, give or take. Roughly five hundred rounds of ammo. While you two were gone, we made some improvements. Thanks to Raven, the gully is mined.”
You watched as Raven shifted awkwardly, you wondered if she had any feelings for the leader of the camp. “Partly minded, thanks to Murphy.”
“Still, it's the main route in.” Bellamy pointed out. “If the grounders use it, we'll know. She also built grenades.”
Clarke frowned, “it’s not many.”
Raven flung her head back, “again. Thank you Murphy.”
Bellamy clenched his jaw, looking even more pissed than before. “We'll make them count. If the grounders make it through the front gate, guns and grenades should force them back.”
“Then what?” You asked.
“Them we close the door and pray,” Raven said softly.
While you half heartedly listened to the others talking you tried to think what you could do. Hearing Raven say how she had no gun powder gave you an idea. “What if we don't use a bomb, what if we blast off instead?”
Raven smiled at you. “Draw them in close, then fire the rockets. A ring of fire. I like your thinking Al.”
“Will it work?” Finn asked, obviously not convinced.
“If we give Raven enough time it will.”
______
You, Clarke and Finn were underneath the dropship, looking for its ignition system when you heard Raven calling out. “Somethings wrong, we need to go back.”
You quickly claimed back towards her, you walked towards her worried. “Raven what’s wrong?”
“I can’t feel my legs.”
You shared a knowing glance with Clarke.
“Okay let me check you again,” Clarke said helping Raven turn over. “Al can you give me a hand.”
After Clarke checked Raven over you discovered she was bleeding internally. The bullet was lodged somewhere in her spine. Finn had left to go find coagulant stuff that the Grounders use, while Jasper revealed he could split a wire and had come in to lend a hand.
You and Clarke had decided that one of you needed to stay with Raven. “You should stay Al,” Clarke said in a low voice. “She needs you more than me, besides I’m going to go check how things are going. Call me if you need anything.”
You nodded in agreement, “okay, be safe out there.” You turned and walked back towards Raven and Jasper. “Tell me again how this is going to work?”
Raven rolled her eyes at your question. “Told you five times already. Current flows to the electromagnet. That opens the poppet valve. Rockets fire.”
You fought the lump in the back of your throat, you knew Raven didn’t have long left. If the grounders weren’t attacking she would maybe have a chance, but without the time or correct equipment she didn’t have a good chance. You just prayed and hoped Finn found what he needed, because you needed Raven to live.
“Clarke! I need Clarke!” You yelled as Raven started to become unconscious. “Please don’t die on me,” you sobbed. “You are a fighter Reyes, don’t let go.”
You stood up, “Jasper keep wiring. I’m going to see what’s going on.” You stepped outside the drop-ship and ran towards Finn the moment you saw him, “you got what we need?”
He nodded, and handed you the medicine before picking up a gun. The grounders had breached the wall. You ran alongside Clarke back into the drop-ship, you rushed towards Raven and injected her with the coagulant, and prayed it was enough.
Hearing a loud screaming noise you turned to see Anya had joined you in the drop-ship. Clarke glanced at you before yelling, “Jasper now!”
You saw Jasper hitting the button, but it didn’t work. Anya suddenly jumped towards you with two blades in hand when Miller, along with some others, stopped her. “Stop wait!” You yelled when you saw Miller was about to kill her, “you can’t do this. We aren’t grounders, we don’t do this.”
Just as you finished talking Jasper hit the button again, and this time it worked. You tried your best not to think about Octavia, Finn, and Bellamy who weren’t inside with you. A few moments after the ship landed again Clarke opened the doors to reveal the devastation outside.
“Aren’t you coming?” Clarke asked looking back at you.
“No, I’m going to stay with Raven.” Kneeling down to Raven’s level you sighed, “you done it Reyes, you saved us all.”
She remained completely still, you started to blink tears away. She wasn’t dead. She couldn’t be dead. You stood up hearing a commotion coming from outside.
You grabbed a spare blade that was lying around and stepped in front of your unconscious friend protectively. The room was quickly filled with a thick red smoke that made it hard to breath.
You fell to the ground gasping as men in hazmat suits walked towards you.

Raven, Murphy, Shaw and I decided to be our own search party to look for Octavia and Diyoza. It had only been a day or two since Bellamy had kicked them out but I was too worried about them.
'Look, it's like a double date now.' Raven grinned, 'This is so cute.'
'We should've done this after the actual date. Now Y/N and I are going to be dirty and sweaty.' John complained, searching around the woods. 'And what happened to waiting and relaxing?'
Throwing the stick out of my way, I sighed. 'I'm sorry John. I know how much it meant to you to keep calm but I started to worry about Octavia.'
'It's okay, I know how much she means to you. Let's just hurry and find her and Diyoza.'
Nodding in response, I turned my head left and right as I tried to find any signs or trails that may lead to Octavia and Diyoza.
'Oh... my...' Shaw whispered. Whatever he found didn’t sound like it was a good sign at all. Tailing from behind with John, I quickly tried to catch up but was distracted by Raven's sudden scream.
'No... this can't be real.' It was Octavia and Diyoza lying on the ground, slain from something or someone and we had no idea what was out here in the woods.
It was shocking to say the least, I didn’t prepare myself to see Octavia and Diyoza like this. It hurt to see my best friend like this, seeing as though they lost their lives helpless and scared.
Raven’s hands were covering her mouth, still trying to process the gruesome bodies that was laid in front of us. Shaw stood closer to her, trying to comfort Raven as he hugged her from her side. ‘What do you think did this?’
John huffed. 'I don't know but this isn't right. If Bellamy never banished them, this wouldn't have happened.'
'But I could've stopped this too.'
'This is not your fault.' Raven grabbed onto me, 'Bellamy did this. Now he's going to live with regret for the rest of his life.'
Kneeling next to Octavia's dead body, I cried into her chest. There was no way this was happening, I should've went and followed her. As a friend, I was supposed to be the one to take care of her especially when her brother wasn't the one to do it.
'No, no. This can't be happening...' I cried, trying to shake her awake. 'Octavia... Octavia.'
'Y/N, we don't know who or what did this. We need to go, NOW.' Raven pulled me up, holding me as I tried to resist her. I didn't want to leave Octavia and Diyoza here, there was also a part of me thinking that there was something I could do even though I knew they were dead.
'I can't leave her, I can't leave them here.'
John joined in with Raven, 'Y/N. Let's go!'
'No, no, I can't.' I repeated, still trying to resist even when both Raven and Murphy were slowly pulling me away from their bodies.
'Y/N!' My eyes shot open as I felt someone shaking me, quickly sitting up on the bed as I realized it was just a terrible nightmare. 'Y/N, are you alright?'
Clarke seemed worried, asking me repeatedly if I was okay. I nodded and replied back with a question. 'What are you doing here?'
'Passed by Murphy during breakfast and asked him if I can talk to you. He told me you were still asleep and that you probably wouldn't mind me waiting here.'
'Do you have to talk to me now? At this instant?' I scratched my temple, still trying to process the dream that felt so real. 'Also, I do mind so John doesn't know what he's talking about.'
'Well, sorry for wasting your time.' Clarke got up but before she left my room, I called her name.
'You came all the way here to wait until I woke up, it sounds like it's an emergency. So what do you want?'
She paused, contemplating on leaving but sat back down instead. 'I wanted to apologize for my actions and everything I've done in the past.'
I bit my lip, crossing my arms as I squinted my eyes. 'Is it so important that you had to do this now?'
'Yes, of course it's important. I don't want you to think that I did all of the things I did on purpose.'
'You went to apologize to Blake yesterday before the ceremony so you could've come to me then. Or days before that, when we woke up from cryo. Or maybe the day when you ditched everyone and sided with McCreary.'
'Okay, I'm late to come to you and I'm sorry. But considering the history we had, I needed to prepare my thoughts and what I wanted to say to you.'
The disagreements that Clarke and I had in the past were things that I held in for the longest, I was unable to get along with her after I realized what she was capable of.
'See, the thing is Clarke: I don't know if I want to hear what you're about to say. The constant things you've done in the past over and over shows how selfish you are.'
'I know... I know...' Clarke nodded, weirdly agreeing to what I was saying. 'I was especially not fair with you, you have every right to hate me. Yet, you still somewhat tolerate me or at least you try.'
'Because in the end, we had to work together. We were supposed to be one clan. We had no other support but each other.' I looked over at her, 'Then you just left us. Left Wonkru and your friends and decide to join hands with that monster.'
Clarke stared down at the floor, continuing to listen to me. 'I didn't care that you left me or Octavia. We were a mess, I know and we had no right to justify what was wrong or right. But you went to the one man that wanted us dead. You let all the people down.'
She nodded, taking everything in and having no excuses for her actions. I didn't think I'd see this side of her, or even have a decent conversation with her for that matter.
'I'm sorry about what my mom did to you, Y/N.' Clarke made eye contact with me, 'What she did down in the bunker.'
Quickly, I shifted my eyes as I suddenly felt vulnerable that Clarke knew the real truth. Clarke sat next to me on the bed, holding my hand. 'Now I know why you were you, the reason why you became Skafaiya. I'm really sorry.'
'It's not your fault.' I replied back, feeling a bit weird getting sympathy from the person that I didn't get along with. It was nice however, to try to make amends with her. 'Abby had her own shit she was dealing with.'
'She made that decision on her own, taking pills and hiding it from everyone including Kane. My mom didn't have to threaten you to kill those people.'
'What's done is done... but thank you for acknowledging it. Thank you for coming to talk to me.' I couldn't say I forgive her for the things she's done but we have all done things we weren't proud of.
The lesson I've learned after overcoming the darkness that I had to deal with all these years, was that mistakes come in different ways. What matters was that people acknowledge it and learn from it. Hopefully this time, Clarke shows that she changed.
'Thank you for listening to me with open ears.' Clarke smiled, scratching her head as she changed the subject. 'Uhm, there's a party tonight. Russell said something about celebrating Delilah on her final day, didn't really ask what that meant because I didn't want to pry. But anyways, I was going to ask if you were going.'
'Are you asking me to go with you?' I joked.
Clarke laughed, 'I'm sure I'm the last person you'd wanna go with. Besides, I heard about the date with Murphy so I was wondering if you two would make it.'
'Hopefully we can, can't turn free alcohol down.'
'Of course.' She got up and smiled. 'Would be nice if you can come. I'll see you later, Y/N.'
✤ · ✤ · ✤ · ✤ · ✤
After a weird, rather friendly encounter I had with Clarke, I got ready to meet up with the rest of the people. John, Raven, Echo and Shaw were having breakfast together at the main area.
'You don't seem angry, must be a good sign.' Raven smiled at me as I took a seat next to Shaw. 'If you are upset, it's Murphy's fault. He's the one that sent Clarke to your room.'
Chuckling, I shook my head. 'I'm not upset. Matter of fact I think I needed that.'
It was refreshing to have a small talk with Clarke, all the unspoken words and bad energy we had between us was finally cleared up. It was nice to start over in a way, it'll be hard to forgive and forget at this moment but it was nice to move on from our issues.
'Look at you, growing up and maturing.' Murphy laughed from across the table. 'I'm proud of you.'
'Proud of me, huh? So am I expecting a "I'm proud of you, Y/N" present tonight on our date?'
'Ew, I don't want to know about all of that.' Raven crinkled her nose.
John's eyebrows raised. 'Ah, speaking of our date, let's do that tomorrow night instead. I want to take you to this dance tonight.'
Not going to lie, I was far more excited about this date with John than anticipated. It sucked that I wouldn't get to have a nice alone time with him but going to a dance didn't sound too bad.
On the other hand, I wanted to spend all the time we had now so that we could start checking what Sanctum was all about. I still didn't fully trust Russell and his people and it was about time that we figure out what was really going on.
Not to mention that awful nightmare that I had of Octavia and Diyoza still haunted me, I was curious of what was going on with them also.
'You look hesitant.'
'No, it's just that-' I stopped myself, not sure if it was a good idea to say what I felt out loud. I didn't want any reason to make anyone else paranoid as I was.
'It's okay, just tell me the truth Y/N.' John nodded.
Looking back at John, I sighed, feeling bad since I felt as thought I was always pulling up excuses. 'It's just these people are so sketchy and our people who are stuck in the ship needs a place to stay, you know? A-and Octavia and Diyoza are in trouble. I just feel it in my gut that I need to go save them.'
The four looked at each other and laughed, leaving me so confused. 'What's so funny?'
Echo shook her head, 'Murphy had discussed this before you came to the table.'
'Yup and I called all of this. You being hesitant to enjoy the time to yourself.' John smiled.
'I knew this would happen but I agree with you. These people... I can't seem to wrap my head around all of this.' Raven said.
Shaw agreed, 'I second that. Definitely something going on here.'
'No, it's not that I don't want to enjoy and relax. I just need t-'
'You don't need to do anything, Y/N.' John grabbed my hand. 'You think you always need to do something but you don't. You deserve a break, just this once be selfish and enjoy these two nights. It won't hurt anyone.'
'And worse comes to worse, we'd let Clarke and Bellamy do everything. You just hang out with Murphy.' Raven grinned, 'I'm also here too so don't worry about it.'
It was nice that my friends were supportive of me but it was hard to switch everything off. I always want the best for everyone, since the day we were sent down here my brain was in full survival mode. We've lost so many people, I want to be the help to make sure we don't lose people anymore.
'Come on, it's just two nights. We'll be alright.' John squeezed my hand, reassuring me as he looked me in my eyes.
'You're supposed to meet your new best friend, Clarke at the dance too.' Raven joked, 'Now you really have to go.'
'Fine, fine but only if we all go.' I looked over at Echo, smiling at her. 'All of us.'
Shaw clapped, grinning widely as he hugged Raven. 'Deal, let's get wasted!'
It was nice to see everyone smiling and enjoying peace for a change. There was nothing to worry about; no intruders, no group of people that was trying to kidnap or kill us, no death of our loved ones. We were just simply living. Maybe enjoying myself for a little bit won't be bad at all.

'Look, Clarke and that dude are eye humping each other.' Murphy gestured the direction with his head, smiling and sipping on his drink.
Clarke looked at our direction, then did a double take as she noticed we were staring at her. She waved and shooed us to stop looking at her.
'How cute.' Echo said then faced the other way. 'Then there's Raven and Shaw over there on the dance floor.'
'Love is in the air.' I joked, almost everyone was paired up with someone. It was nice seeing everyone happy, really drunk and happy.
Murphy chuckled. 'More like lust. See, now Clarke is walking away with that dude. We all know what that means.'
Raven rushed towards us, giggling and smiling as she was drunk. It was surprising, in fact I probably haven't seen her so wasted before. 'Murphy! Come dance with me!'
'Oh, no no. For one I don't dance, you should know that Raven. And second, I don't want you and Shaw's love juice all over me.'
'Come on, Murphy! You danced with Y/N when we were at the Ark, why won't you dance with me?' Raven whined, trying to pull him off of his seat.
He chuckled, 'That was because Y/N had to bribe me. I also can't resist when it's her that asks.'
'Aw, just go dance with her!' I nudged John, 'It's one dance. How bad can it be?'
Groaning dramatically, he got up and took Raven's hand. 'You owe me big time. Both of you Reyes' are stubborn as hell.'
As they walked away into the dance floor, Echo giggled. 'I've never seen Raven so drunk before. Is she always like that?'
'Ha, you're telling me. She's my sister and I've never seen her this loose either. It's kind of weird, actually.'
'We didn't really have alcohol up at The Ring, we had to act silly and pretend we were drunk.' Echo continued to laugh and looked my way, quickly apologizing. 'Ah, shit. I'm sorry, Y/N. I didn't mean-'
'What's there to apologize for?'
'Well, I know what you've been through while we were up there.'
It was nice to see that Echo acknowledged the pain I went through, but none of that was her fault. I didn't want her to think that she didn't have to cherish the life she had up there because of me. 'You had your life, I had mine. There's no reason to apologize for that.'
'But I do have to apologize about Bellamy though.'
'No, Ech-'
'Y/N, I do. I want to.' It was hard for me to let go of my ex-boyfriend, someone that I loved and cared so dearly for a long, long time. I didn't want constant reminders of that, but I wanted to give Echo a chance.
Nodding my head, I decided to listen to what she had to say. Worse case, I'd just drink my night away and pretend nothing happened.
'Back at The Ring, it was difficult for him. Bellamy didn't know if you made it out of surgery alive and before Raven flew us up to the Ark, the radiation cut off our connection with the Bunker. Him and Octavia barely said goodbye to each other, before that she had told him it was less likely you'd make it.'
'You were in critical condition when you made it to the hatch, you weren't breathing and the only reason why Abby noticed that you were up there was because the knocking on the hatch suddenly stopped. That was the last thing Bellamy heard about you, that you were practically dead when Jackson and Abby took you in.'
'Raven, Monty, Harper, they all tried to keep him in a positive state. Telling him that you were strong and that you made it out of surgery well. He didn't know what to believe, all he knew was it was Emori and my fault that you couldn't come to the lab in the first place. That's when everything started, he was in a very dark place Y/N.'
It made me sad that Bellamy had suffered through his own pain, not realizing that he was as hurt as I was. The worse part of all of this was that he couldn't trust me or felt safe enough to talk to me about it.
'I'm not excusing what he did or what I did, it wasn't right at all. I just hope that you understand that Bellamy was going through shit too. It got worse when he found out Murphy still loved you, that he broke up with Emori because of his feelings towards you.'
'He lost hope for everything, thought he had to move on but didn't know how. Wanted to believe that you were still alive but in the back of his head, having the thought of you and Murphy too. I know it's hard to understand but he isolated himself for a long time and he only talked to me, as weird as it was knowing that he hated me at first.'
I took Echo's hand, giving her a reassuring smile. 'Despite what happened to me and Bellamy now, thank you for being the friend that he needed through all of that.'
She started to shed tears, nodding her head as she squeezed my hands. 'I-I'm so sorry, Y/N. For everything. Leaving you to die on the cliff, the Priamfaya, about Bellam-.'
'It's okay, Echo.'
'No, no it's not. Please know that I'm deeply sorry for everything.'
We were in the middle of a dance party, crying our eyes out; the thought of us looking sad and depressed suddenly made me laugh. Confused, Echo cocked her head.
Wiping my tears, I shook my head. 'I'm sorry, it's that everyone is drunk and practically humping each other and it was just funny in my head.'
Echo broke out in laughter, sniffling and wiping her cheeks. She then got up and took her hand out. 'Let's get drunk and dry our tears away.'
'I love the sound of that.' I smiled, grabbing her hand and following into the crowd. Walking towards the bar, I saw Bellamy talking to Emori, Jordan and a few of the people from Sanctum.
He lifted his head, meeting his eyes with mine but not knowing how to react as he realized I was looking at his direction. Awkwardly, he gave a wave, acknowledging this weird moment.
I couldn't help but feel sad, it hurt me so much that Bellamy felt so depressed while he was at the Ring. I wish that I was there to take his pain away, the last six year that he struggled.
Echo was right, I couldn't justify what he had done to me but knowing the whole truth shed me a light on things that were so confusing.
Perhaps this would be the start of clarifying everything from our last six years we were apart, maybe we could be best friends again.
Maybe this time around, I can finally get the answer to everything.

previous chapter // season masterlist // series masterlist
The first thing you realize is that Miller saved all of your lives with his quick thinking. You turn and meet his gaze, grateful that he was fast enough to get the bomb behind one of the solid doors. “Thank you.”
He nods in acknowledgment, before another soft rumble settles through the room, and the door the bomb is behind starts to groan softly. Which brings you to the second realization, that in saving all of your lives, Miller possibly doomed the others. Because the door he threw the bomb behind is the door that leads to the rest of the bunker. It’s the door that leads to the stone, in the rec room with Jackson, Murphy, Emori, and Raven.
Miller immediately pries the door in question off the hinges with one of the spears from the arena, revealing a doorway of stacked concrete, confirming what you already knew. The others are trapped down below, and the rest of you are trapped up here. You have access to the outside, but no way to reach the stone or the rest of your friends. You turn to look at Clarke, seeking out her counsel, despite still being angry with her. She gives you a desperate look, before a look of realization passes over her face. “We can still get to Madi.”
She reaches into her pocket and pulls out a small vial, three blue pills inside. You recognize them immediately as nano trackers, likely brought over by Sheidheda, the same ones Cadogan used to leave the bunker. Clarke unscrews the bottle and immediately dumps one out, preparing to swallow it, but Gaia closes the space between them and stops her hand from dropping the pill into her mouth. “Clarke, we have to think this through.”
“Gaia's right. Only the second pill’s for me.” Clarke looks over at you in surprise, not expecting you to take her side after what she did. But she killed Bellamy to protect Madi, and if something happens to Madi, then Bellamy and Gabriel died for nothing. All of it was for nothing. You refuse to let their deaths be in vain, which is why you hold your hand out for one of the pills, and Clarke quickly passes one to you. Behind you, Octavia speaks up, moving closer to you and Clarke. “We're gonna need an inside man.”
You both understand her statement for what it is: an offer to go with the two of you, so Clarke hands Octavia the third and final pill. All of you swallow them, one after the next, Octavia the last to do so, and you stand staring at each other, waiting to instantly disappear the way that Cadogan did.
Except, you don’t.
The three of you stay firmly in place, looking at each other in absolute confusion. “Cadogan disappeared right away.”
“Why isn't this working?”
Hope answers you and Clarke both, shrugging a little as she does. “Maybe somebody has to be waiting in Bardo to pull you through.”
A strange look passes over Clarke’s face, half anger, half amusement, before settling into one of determination. She crosses the room in three strides, stopping at the door to the rest of the bunker, clamping her hands down on the first piece of stone she sees. She pulls, letting out a cry of effort as she does, the concrete moving nowhere. She tries again, her hands slipping off the stone, likely scratching her the way they did when the two of you tried to dig to this very same bunker, and you shake your head before moving towards her. “Clarke.”
She doesn’t turn around, determinedly yanking at the stones and sliding off them, making no progress, going nowhere, but still trying nonetheless. “We have to get to Madi! Cadogan could be digging into her brain right now.”
You reach out for her, grabbing her arm and spinning her towards you. “Clarke! We spent days trying to dig our way to the bunker before we nearly died in that collapse, and this is no different. You’re gonna dislodge a stone and get yourself killed if you keep this up, and you’re no use to Madi if you’re dead.”
She sets her jaw, and you think she’s about to start a fight with you before her eyes drop and her gaze softens. “Your shoulder.”
You peer down at your shoulder and the blood staining your shirt, the wound from Sheidheda still bleeding, the pain forgotten to you in the chaos of everything that’s happened since then. “It’s nothing.”
You try to shrug her off, stepping away from her, not wanting her comfort or her help, but she reaches out to grab your arm, her hand closing around one of the cuts on your forearm. She can feel the wetness on her hand as soon as she grabs you, and she immediately lets go of you and looks at you in alarm. “La lune!”
She grabs your hand and turns your arm over, eyes scanning the cuts on both of your forearms. “Why didn’t you say anything?”
“I honestly can't feel it. Adrenaline and all that.”
“Come here.” She tries to pull you to the side, and you don’t budge at first, but she gives you one of those looks that lets you know this is not negotiable, because your own words apply to you in this moment. You’re no good to Madi dead, and bleeding to death because you’re mad at Clarke is not the way to go. So when she tugs you to the side a second time, you let her, and she motions for you to sit across from her as she tears strips of cloth from the bottom of her shirt. The tension between the two of you temporarily melts away as she ties makeshift bandages around your forearms and shoulder, your access to real bandages nonexistent. You sit quietly as she fixes you up the best she can, before she finally breaks the silence to whisper, “I’m sorry about Bellamy, I swear I am. I didn’t want to do it, but I had to, to protect Madi. You can hate me forever, la lune, I’ll understand.”
You sit in silence for a second, weighing her words, and you can tell from the anguish in her voice that she means it. But that doesn't erase all of your feelings instantly, as much as you wish it did. You wish you could erase the hurt and the grief and the anger, but you can’t. It’s still raw and open, weighing on you at every moment. “Clarke, you’re my shining star. You’re a part of me. I understand why you did what you did, and I understand why you feel like it was the only choice. But that doesn't change the fact that Bellamy is dead and you pulled the trigger. I don't hate you, I don't think I ever could, but I don't forgive you either, at least not yet. Hopefully one day I’ll forgive you and we can move past this, but right now, I'm too damn hurt and angry.”
She nods her head, looking up at you with tears in her eyes. “I understand. If it helps, I regret it. I don't think I’d do it again, especially if I knew that Madi was just gonna turn herself in despite everything.”
You say nothing for a long second, your voice a soft whisper, cracking with emotion when you say, “I just wish I could have said goodbye. I gave him back the ring, you know, and he died thinking I didn't love him, but I do. I love him with my whole heart, my entire being. He’s my soulmate, and he died thinking that I hate him.”
You feel your bottom lip quiver before tears start to spill down your face, and you see tears in Clarke’s eyes before she pulls you in for a hug, holding you as you cry for Bellamy. And in this moment, you allow yourself to forget what happened to him, focusing only on the fact that he’s gone. You allow your twin to comfort you, hold you close, softly humming Clair de lune in your ear until you start to calm down again. And even after the two of you break apart, you stay side by side, unable to leave each other’s side, even now, when everything between you is tense and weird.
Indra is the first to break the silence and tension hanging over the room. “We should discuss the plan. Clarke, la lune, and Octavia bring us over. We get Madi and kill their leader.”
Gaia jumps down from the perch she was on, walking towards her mother. “Killing Cadogan won't change anything.”
“He can't chase us if he's dead.”
She shakes her head at Indra trying to get her to understand. “You've seen faith, Mother. You kill the Commander, another takes her place. You kill the Fleimkepa, another takes his place. Faith doesn't just die, it gets carried forward. Cadogan's people are no different.”
Miller asks the question that you’re all beginning to wonder. “Then how does this end?”
“Bellamy asked that question, too.” You all look towards Octavia, the mood sobering even further at the mention of Bellamy. “One Last War, and then we transcend and we become the light.”
Across the room, Jordan breaks his silence. “It's a beautiful idea, but fighting is not how we get there. War is a failure of everything. Which is why it's a test, not a war.”
“Test, war, test, war. The disciples have been studying the Bardo texts for over 1,000 years. You really think you know better?”
Jordan turns to Hope, answering her question with complete confidence. “Yes. And it's not just that I read some old books, I felt it. That red sun toxin showed me something. I couldn't figure it out, but I knew it was important, and then I read the Bardo texts, and it hit me... the next step in human evolution.”
You can feel Clarke going more restless with each passing second, until she abruptly stands and snaps, “Nonsense.”
Everyone turns to face her after the outburst, but she avoids everyone’s eyes as she stalks up the ramp towards the exit. “All that matters now is saving Madi and killing Cadogan. There's no Last War or test. Bellamy's dead because he believed that crap, and I've heard enough!”
You look after her retreating figure, wondering if you should go after her. Everything between the two of you is weird, and your anger is telling you to stay, bristling at the casual way she mentioned Bellamy’s death. But your softer side, the part of you that’s connected to her, it’s telling you to go after her, comfort her, despite what she did. Gaia seems to sense your conflict, because she steps towards you with a smile and whispers, “I got it.”
You nod in thanks, relieved that you don’t have to decide, before sitting back down and beginning the excruciating process of waiting once more. You’re quickly realizing that there’s nothing you hate more than waiting: waiting to fight, waiting to escape, waiting to die. Because waiting is usually silent, and that silence easily morphs into your regrets, and fears, and worries. It’s when you think about everything you've done wrong and everything you haven't yet gotten the chance to do. There’s time to think of who you’ve killed and who you’ve lost, which opens up the door to the painful memories that usually stay locked deep in your brain, in that place you try to keep hidden from everyone, including yourself.
Waiting is suffocating, and in the time you’ve spent on Earth, Sanctum, Skyring, and Bardo, you’ve already done too much of it.
You stand, starting to pace around the rotunda, the way Bellamy used to pace when he first got back from space. The same habit he turned to when he had to wait. And as your feet move you around the room in continuous circles, you start to understand. It’s rhythmic, the way your feet carry you across the floor, boots thudding softly against the metal, and each time you walk past Hope, the thuds stutter, your footsteps softened by an uneven spot on the floor.
As you pace around the room, you force your mind to stay on the safe topics. The ones that don't involve painful memories or the ghosts that seem to stalk you. Instead, you keep things light, reciting constellations and medicinal plants, anything to keep your mind occupied. A few times you slip up, your thoughts drifting to what Bellamy was thinking in his final moments, as he bled out on Sanctum alone. You start to worry about Madi and what she’s going through without you, cursing yourself for not getting to her sooner and stopping her from leaving. You think about Gabriel and his final words to you, what they meant... You shake your head, clearing the spiral of memories and grief, shifting back to your safe topics, ignoring the thoughts that are begging to pull you down.
You only pause your pacing once, when Clarke and Gaia come out of the decontamination room and take up a spot on the ramp, sitting across from each other cross legged, Gaia talking to your twin softly. You resume your pacing, glancing at them every few minutes, realizing that Gaia must be teaching Clarke to calm her mind the way she taught Madi to.
But Clarke’s peace is short lived, and within minutes she’s standing, her voice rising as she glares down at Gaia. “How do you expect me to focus right now when my daughter is out there, probably being tortured right now?”
“You think I don't know that?” Gaia stands abruptly, and you pause your pacing to watch them. She gives Clarke an anguished look, her voice dropping slightly when she adds, “I love her too, Clarke.”
A look of sympathy passes over Clarke’s face before she reaches out and pulls the former Flamekeeper into a hug. “I know, I know, I'm sorry.”
You’re about to start pacing again, the conflict seemingly resolved, when you catch a glimpse of green around Clarke. She pulls away from Gaia, her hands starting to disappear, and she turns to look at you with a smile. “It's working.”
Clarke disappears in a haze of emerald, leaving you to turn and look at Octavia, “I’m next.”
Miller yells out to you, “La lune, catch!”
You turn towards him, catching the pistol he tosses your way, seconds before you too fade away from the bunker. All around you, the world is green, bright and hazy, until it fades into a darker hue. It takes a second for you to realize that you’re not in the Stone Room, but in the oxygen farm, surrounded by an army of disciples, all of them pointing weapons right at you and Clarke. You raise the pistol that Miller tossed to you, you and Clarke aiming back at the disciples, and Octavia appears a second later, instantly lifting her rifle.
A disciple near the font of the armed group looks towards you and loudly yells, “Drop your weapons! Hands in the air!”
Octavia drops her weapon first, lifting her hands in surrender, and you and Clarke exchange a look before you both follow suit. Despite not wanting to surrender to the disciples, you both know you have no choice, and if you choose to take a stand here, it will only result in the three of you ending up dead. So you both drop your weapons and lift your hands in the air, following the commands of the disciples as they close in on you. The three of you are restrained and led past the waiting army, through the oxygen farm and the halls of Bardo until you’re delivered to a cell.
They release all three of you in one room, and you stand there for a minute, stunned by what just happened. “Why did we show up in the oxygen farm?”
Clarke shakes her head, “I don't know. But they’re preparing for a war, which means they have Madi and she’s in trouble.”
She plops down onto the nearest bed in frustration, dropping her head into her hands before she starts to softly cry. Octavia sits down beside her, offering her comfort, the moment soon overshadowed by someone singing. And not just someone, Sheidheda. He sings the Grounder Anthem, “Take a Life With Me”, over and over on a loop, until there is no sadness left in your prison cell, only frustration.
You take up pacing again as nothing you do drowns out the awful, annoying sound, which continues repeatedly, until you’re sure you’re about to lose your mind. You can sense Clarke growing tense too, her body starting to fidget more and more until she finally yells out, “Shut up!”
But Sheidheda doesn't shut up, he just keeps singing without a care in the world. Clarke looks at you with worry and frustration, her eyes wide, her nerves frazzled. “We did all that just to end up back here, locked up in a cell next to Sheidheda.”
“We'll get Madi back.” You don’t say anything beyond that, your anger at her now back in full force now that you’re back in Bardo, but you do let out a sigh, frustrated that your emotions are so all over the place. You wonder what Anders would say about you now, watching you pace the room like a caged animal, angry and frustrated and ready to destroy Bardo if you have to.
You’re pulled back to the present by Clarke sighing loudly, looking doubtful about your assurance of finding Madi, which Octavia notices. She puts a hand on Clarke’s knee, whose gaze shifts over to the younger Blake. “Think about it: someone brought us here. That means we have help on the inside, it's just a matter of time.”
Clarke nods, contemplating her words, realizing the truth to them, and she’s quiet for a moment before whispering, “Thank you.”
Something about her tone makes you pause, and you stop in front of her as Clarke’s gaze shifts between you and Octavia. “Both of you. Thank you for offering to come.”
Octavia answers first, “I told you I get it now, what she means to you. It's what Hope means to me.”
“It's what we meant to Bellamy.” Clarke and Octavia look towards you, the mood dampening the way it does when you all remember that Bellamy is gone, for real this time. You’re surprised you even said it, and you have to fight against the tears that are threatening to rise, glancing between the two women you call sister. “We were everything to him.”
Octavia whispers, “That's how I'll remember him.”
Clarke reaches out to grab your hand and you let her, before she reaches for Octavia’s hand too, the three of you sitting together as a small human chain, mourning the loss of Bellamy. And as the three of you mourn, tears streaming down your faces, the door to your cell opens. Clarke and Octavia stand beside you and turn to see Levitt hovering near the entrance, smiling at Octavia. She moves towards him, and as the pair hugs, you get a flash of disappointment. Part of you hoped that it would be Bellamy here to save you, despite seeing his body bleeding out on the palace floor in Sanctum. Something you remind yourself of as Clarke mutters, “Hate to interrupt, but we need to get to Madi. What’s the plan?”
Levitt and Octavia pull apart, and he looks between the three of you, growing anxious. “I don't know. Isn't this your guys' specialty? How would you do it?”
Octavia thinks for a second and then says, “Use the suits, go invisible.”
“No, that won't work. Too many disciples with helmets around.”
Clarke shrugs, “Then we come in hot, and we take them all out.”
You shake your head, instantly disagreeing. If the disciples are preparing for a war, then Clarke’s right. Madi is in danger now. You have no doubt that you, Clarke, and Octavia could come in and take the disciples out with ease, but how long will that give you? Five minutes? Ten? It’s loud and it’s messy, and it’ll put a target on your backs. You need a distraction, something to pull the disciples away from M-Cap, giving the four of you time to find Madi and get her to safety. You search your brain for a different plan, struggling to come up with anything, thanks to Sheidheda’s obnoxious singing.
And that’s when it comes to you.
You look between the three of them, smiling, pointing to the room next door. “Or we create a distraction.”
Realization passes over each of their faces, and you know you’re all on the same page. “Good idea.”
Levitt heads to the door of your cell and reaches for a bag that he left behind, tossing each of you a gun before leading you from your room and to the next cell over. He quickly pulls the door scanner from the wall, attaching a few wires to a tablet from his bag and typing in a code. He removes the tablet and tucks it away before reattaching the scanner and pushing the button. The door to Sheidheda’s cell slides open, and you, Clarke, and Octavia go in weapons hot, aiming directly at the man in the room. He stops singing when he hears your entrance, turning slowly to look at the three of you glaring in anger, Levitt waiting just behind you. “Well, since no one's shooting, I suppose that means you need me.”
He laughs a little and stands to his feet, musing, “What would Madi think?”
Clarke lowers her gun and lunges at him, intending to hit him, but you reach out and grab her arm to stop her. “Clarke!”
Sheidheda laughs, looking you over, taking in your bandages and the blood that’s still on your face, a mix of Gabriel’s and your own. “I got the doctor good, didn't I? Tell me, did he make it?”
And this time, it’s your turn to lunge, dropping Clarke’s arm and reaching for the man, seeing only red, your anger raw with grief. But Octavia grabs you, pulling you back, yelling out, “That’s enough, all of you! We need to stop Cadogan.”
You take a breath, calming yourself, aware that you need the man in front of you to save your niece and stop Cadogan from winning. Which means, for now, you’ll play alongside him. But if he makes it out of here and you get the chance, you’ll kill him for what he did to Gabriel and Madi.
Sheidheda shrugs at Octavia’s words, growling a little, “I tried, and for my troubles, they locked me up here.”
Clarke doesn't care, blowing past his complaint to snap, “Here's the deal. I'd love to kill you, but you're right, we need you. We set you loose, and you draw the disciples away from M-Cap.”
“I'm not some petty distraction. I'm the high king of Sanctum.”
You roll your eyes, “Okay, Your Highness. Then we walk out of here and lock the door behind us.”
He sneers at you, giving you an annoyed smile. “Hmm, distraction it is.”
You motion towards the door with your gun. “Then let’s go.”
Levitt leads the way to M-Cap, the rest of you keeping your guns trained on Sheidheda, but you stop when you reach the last few hallways to your destination. You can hear people nearby, likely standing guard or prepping for the war, and you motion towards Sheidheda as you all duck out of sight. He smiles before he steps away, and you can hear the moment he catches sight of the disciples. “Attention, sheep. I'm here to kill your Shepherd.”
You can hear one of the guards yelling commands, followed immediately by the sounds of fighting. Gunshots ring out in the air, accented by screams of pain, but you all stay hidden in a nearby corridor until the sounds grow fainter and fainter, Sheidheda clearing the halls ahead of you. Once you hear no more fighting, you tentatively slip from your hiding spot and walk down the hall, rounding the corner to find blood splashed along the walls and dead bodies scattered everywhere. You shake your head at the violent scene in front of you, thinking that surely Sheidheda didn’t need to be so brutal. Still, he got the job done, because there’s no one in sight to stop your approach.
Unfortunately, there is also no sign of Sheidheda. “He's not here?”
Clarke turns to look back at Octavia. “We knew that was a possibility, we'll deal with Sheidheda later.”
Levitt looks around at the bodies littering the floor, carefully stepping around dark red puddles of blood, his voice horrified when he whispers, “I grew up with these people.”
“That's war, Levitt.” Octavia turns to glance at him, offering him no sympathy for the horror he’s experiencing. “It looks exciting in hologram mode, but this is the reality.”
Clarke shakes her head, grabbing a few grenades as she walks past the bodies, barely glancing back at the couple as she continues on her way. “Come on. Right now, all that matters is getting to Madi.”
You all follow her down the halls towards M-Cap, your guns raised, ready for a fight with each new hallway you turn down. But you find no one, this section of Bardo completely empty, everyone gone in pursuit of Sheidheda. “Looks like our diversion worked.”
As you reach the door to M-Cap, Clarke nods towards it. “Levitt, you go in first. They won't see you as a threat.”
He nods, and Octavia quickly pushes the button to the room, and as the door slides open, you all get into position and step inside behind Levitt. The first thing you notice is that someone is humming, the tune comforting and familiar. The second thing you notice is Madi, sprawled out in the M-Cap chair, someone’s arms around her. And when that someone looks up, you swear you’re dreaming.
Because it looks like Bellamy.
“Bellamy?” You freeze in place, the gun in your hand clattering to the floor as you stare at him in shock. He looks up at all of you, his expression surprised, clearly not expecting to see you here. He’s out of the white robes and into a white top and bottom combo, the same thing that Gabriel used to wear, and you’re relieved to see no blood on his clothes. He looks a little tired, and his curly hair is unruly, flopped all over the place, but he looks fine. Healthy even, no sign that he was recently dead.
Clarke seemingly breezes past the fact that Bellamy is alive and well, her gaze solely focused on Madi, and he releases his hold on her to allow Clarke the room to take over. He stands, looking at you closely, his expression blank for a moment, and you worry that he’s even more brainwashed than the last time you saw him. But then his expression morphs into one of relief, and he steps around the M-Cap chair to walk towards you. “La lune.”
His voice is warm and thick with affection and emotion, and you start to run towards him, tears welling up in your eyes as he jogs towards you. He meets you halfway across the room, scooping you up in his arms and spinning you once, before putting your feet firmly back on the ground, his arms holding you tight. He tucks his head into the crook of your neck, and you can hear him crying as he whispers, “I’m sorry, I’m so fucking sorry. I should have never betrayed you. I should’ve listened to you.”
“It’s okay, it’s okay.” You pull away to look at him, tears running down his face and your own, and you whisper, “I love you. Oh my god, I love you, and I'm sorry I left you. I didn't want to, but-”
He cuts you off, “No, you were right to leave me. And you were right about Cadogan.”
It’s like the words remind him of something, and he turns to look at the others. “Levitt, something is wrong with Madi. Cadogan did something to her.”
You all turn to look at him in shock. “What?”
Levitt immediately crosses the room to grab the glasses that the disciples use for M-Cap, and for the first time since grabbing her, Clarke pulls away from Madi, realizing that Bellamy’s right, something is wrong with her. You miss the reunion between the Blake siblings as you rush over to your niece, though you can hear them quietly talking behind you. You look down at Madi in horror, catching onto what Bellamy meant. Madi’s eyes are open, but her expression and her eyes are blank, no sign of recognition in either of them. Her heartbeat is strong, but her body is limp, moving only when one of you moves her.
Clarke looks at you with tears in her eyes, and you feel tears in your own, both of you starting to cry as Clarke turns her teary expression back to Madi. “Madi, look at me. Say something. Please say something.”
Madi remains frozen, and Clarke lets out a panicked yell, “Say something!”
But still, Madi doesn't move, and Clarke pulls her into her arms, holding her tight as she sobs, rocking her back and forth, “Oh, my baby. My baby. My baby.”
You start to cry harder, not wanting to hear or see Clarke’s heartbreak, not wanting to see Madi’s blank expression, but you can't look away. You don't look away when you feel Bellamy slide up beside you, slipping his hand into your own, you don't look away when you hear Octavia and Levitt talking quietly behind you. You keep your eyes on your little sun and your shining star, unable to do anything other than cry at the scene before you.
Clarke lays Madi back down, before turning her teary face back to you, her eyes landing on Bellamy in the process. You see surprise pass over her face, meaning she really didn't register his presence when you all stepped into the room. But her surprise turns to anger as she glares at him, “What happened? What did he do to her?”
Bellamy shakes his head, looking just as upset as the rest of you, tears streaming down his face too. “I don’t know. When I heard she was here, I came looking for her immediately. She was like this when I found her. Cadogan was already gone.”
“You said you’d keep her safe!”
Bellamy stutters a little, his voice thick with emotion. “I tried, Clarke, but I woke up in a hospital bed. I left as soon as I heard she was here, but it must have been hours after her arrival by that point.”
Clarke’s expression turns horrified as she takes in the weight of his words. He got to her as soon as he could to try to help her. But the reason it took him so long to reach her is because he was in a hospital bed. Put there by Clarke. You reach out for her, squeezing her shoulder to stop her train of thought. “Hey, hey, hey, this is not your fault. This is Cadogan’s fault.”
Bellamy whispers, “You couldn't have known.”
And though he doesn't outright say it, you know that his words are forgiveness. Bellamy offers his forgiveness to Clarke for shooting him, her anguish over Madi punishment enough. He offers her the olive branch, and it’s up to her to take it. Thankfully, she does, looking at Bellamy with genuine regret. “I shouldn't have shot you, Bellamy. I panicked, and didn't know what to do.”
“No, you were right to. I don't blame you for shooting me, it was part of a wake up call for me. La lune giving me back her ring, you shooting me, finding Madi like this, they all woke me up to the truth about Cadogan: he’s a monster. A psychopath obsessed with being worshipped, just like he was on Earth.”
And everything is simultaneously okay and not okay, because the confession is big, but none of you get the time to respond to it, because Octavia steps up beside Clarke, looking between all of you. “She can hear you. She knows you're here.”
Clarke nods and turns back towards Madi, trying to hide her tears as she smiles. “Hey, baby, I'm here. I'm right here.”
You lean down into Madi’s line of sight, doing the same to mask your hurt as you whisper, “Hey there, little sun. Ani’s here too.”
Clarke turns to face Levitt, who’s still standing off to the side. “Is it recoverable?”
“What? I-” The question catches him off guard, not sure if he should answer, but after a second, he solemnly shakes his head. “No. The areas of her brain responsible for voluntary movement have been destroyed. I'm sorry.”
The words make all of you start to cry harder, now faced with the reality that Cadogan has paralyzed Madi permanently in the pursuit of transcendence. It's enough to make you sick to your stomach. But that feeling only intensifies as Clarke glances off to the side, where her discarded pistol now lays, and after a moment of thought, she leans down to get it. You know exactly what she’s thinking because you know her better than she knows herself, and you shake your head, your voice soft and firm. “Clarke, no.”
She starts to cry harder, her hands shakily lifting the gun, determined to do what she thinks is right for Madi. But the sight breaks your heart, as Clarke can barely hold the gun steady, too overcome with emotion. Your twin that has bore it so the rest of you don't have to is breaking, and you know you need to be there for her. Which is why you drop Bellamy’s hand and reach out for the gun. “I’ll do it.”
She looks at you, expression heartbroken but hopeful, and you whisper, “I'm not letting you live with this.”
She nods a little, passing you the gun, which you take with now shaky hands. Clarke reaches out for Madi, putting a hand on either side of her face as she whispers, “I love you so much. Don't be scared, just listen to my voice, okay?”
And just like Bellamy was doing before all of you arrived, she starts to hum Clair de lune, ducking her head beside Madi’s so she can't see her tears. You lift the gun with a shaky hand, your own tears blurring your vision, aiming the pistol at her chest. But as you stare down at the blank expression of your little sun, you don't think you can do it, the burden too great for any of you to bear. You start to cry harder, a sob escaping from your chest, and Clarke looks over at you, nodding a little, letting you know that it’s okay, it’s time.
But you can’t. You stare down at Madi’s face, reminded of the girl that couldn't speak English when you met her, who caught Clarke with a bear trap. The little girl you taught how to drive, how to fight. The girl who inspired an army to fight for Shallow Valley. You shake your head a little, unable to do it, your hand starting to lower again. But then Bellamy reaches out and closes his hand over your own. You look back at him, and he looks at you, tears falling down his face as he whispers, “Together.”
You nod, and the two of you turn to face Madi, lifting the gun to aim right over her heart. And as your finger lifts to the trigger, Bellamy’s finger poised over your own, ready to help you, you whisper, “I love you, little sun.”
But before the two of you can pull the trigger, Levitt suddenly calls out, “No, he got the code!”
You pause and you all turn towards him in shock, and he catches sight of the gun in your hand, suddenly apologetic. “Oh, God. Oh, I'm sorry.”
Octavia asks, “The test code? Are you sure?”
“Hologram mode.”
He enlarges the memory so you can all see, watching as Becca’s fingers press the symbols on the Anomaly Stone, the room glowing in white before the memory ends. Clarke shifts her gaze from the memory down to Madi, her heartbreak giving way to hard anger. “He got what he needed and left her here?”
The words hit all of you right in the chest. This man that is so determined to transcend, to prove that humans are worthy, paralyzed a child to do it, and then left her alone. Bellamy was right when he called Cadogan a monster, and you can feel Wanlida smiling as she steps into view. “We have to stop him.”
Octavia starts, “If one man represents the entire human race-”
Bellamy finishes, “It can't be him.”
Levitt nods, looking between all of you. “We can still stop him, but we have to go now.”
Everyone seems to silently agree, and you and Clarke turn back to Madi. Clarke puts her hand on Madi’s cheek, and you reach out to squeeze Madi’s hand. Clarke whispers, “I'll come back. I'll be back after we stop the test, and I promise I will not let him win.”
She presses a kiss to Madi’s forehead, and leans back so you can add, “We’re going to stop him, Madi, and we’re going to fix this. I promise. Bill Cadogan thinks he’s unstoppable, but he’s never met Wanheda and Wanlida.”

The after
⚠️Smut and mentions of abortion⚠️
06
“Oh fuck, that feels good” Bellamy groaned.
How could he not? His wife was on top of him while bouncing up and down, with her bare chest in his face. He was in paradise. This was one of the few occasions they could be alone together.
Bellamy loved his son with all his heart but missed having Harrianna all to himself. He was practically obsessed with her, she was his lifeline, and he was never letting her go. The moment Fangs left to play with other kids he jumped at the chance of being deep inside the women he loves. Luckily for Bellamy she was already a step ahead of him and ripped her own clothes off before pouncing on him.
He moved his hand to rub Harrianna’s core in a way he knew would drive her crazy. Make her scream and spasm at the same time for the third time that day.
“Fuck don’t stop” she moaned in his ear.
Bellamy’s brown eyes flickered open as he looked over Harrianna’s shoulder. It horrified him to see a figure in the doorway. It was an elder.
“What the hell are you doing?!” He hissed, throwing a blanket over them, before pulling his pants up.
The elder let out an unimpressed grunt and stared at them with no emotion expression. This wasn’t good. An elder never made a house call unless something bad had happened. They had broken a rule.
“Where’s Fangs?” Harrianna asked, worried.
The elder waved a hand towards the doorway. “Join us in the main hall once you are ready.”
The green-haired woman stepped closer to the elder, “where the fuck is my son? What have you done to him?”
Bellamy pulled his wife back, “come on.” Swearing at an elder was a serious offense.
The elder repeated his earlier statement and left them to get dressed. Bellamy and Harrianna shared a knowing look of fear. This wasn’t good. The Blake family had broken one-too-many rules recently, and they would need to punished. Bellamy let out a deep sigh. This wasn’t paradise. This was hell.
***
“Where is our son?” Harrianna asked frowning.
Her and Bellamy stood in front of the council of elders. None of them wore a facial expression and stared at the couple blankly. The elders had changed into their black robes, proving what they already knew. Someone was about to get punished.
Eventually one of the elders cleared his throat, breaking the silence. “Bellamy and Harrianna Blake have been brought here today because they have broken law thirty-seven.
The couple looked at each other confused.
The elder continued. “It has come to our attention within the last twelve hours the Blake’s have fornicated without protecting, resulting in fertilization.”
“Bellamy...” Harrianna whispered.
“Women are strictly forbidden from fighting while with child. Harrianna Blake was supposed to train fifteen others in combat, however due to condition she will be unable to do so. Thus breaking law thirty-seven.”
“Where is Fangs?” Harrianna asked again, “and why is Bell here If it was me who broke the law?”
A female elder stepped forward, with a hint of amusement on her face. “Ferris is safe, and nobody can get themselves into that condition...”
“It’s not a condition! It’s just a baby.” Bellamy spat.
“Mr Blake if you can’t control yourself you will be forced to leave.” The elder smirked. “As for you Harrianna, you have two options to right this wrong. You can be held in isolating until the child growing inside you is of age to work, or you dispose of it.”
“Dispose of it? You can’t force me to choose.”
Harrison glanced at Bellamy with tears in her eyes. She knew what she had to do.
“I’ll go to isolation.”
Bellamy grabbed her hand pulling her close to him. “You can’t do this! You can’t leave me and Fangs. Please don’t do this.”
Bellamy knew his pleads fell on deaf ears. He couldn’t let Harrianna do this. He would do whatever it took keep his family together.
______
Murphy shook his head. “I still don’t understand. You have been punished for being pregnant?”
Harrianna nodded.
“How is that even possible? Bellamy is dead.” Murphy pointed out.
“Bell, is..was dead. When a true warrior or someone with potential dies they go someplace else. I had been there for a long time before Bellamy arrived. Then everything changed.”
“How did you die?” Octavia asked intrigued.
“I got shot.”
“That’s it? You aren’t going to explain anymore?” Murphy asked.
“What do you want to know?” Harrianna asked. She was confused by the look on his face.
Octavia answered for him, “how do you become a warrior?”
“You are chosen after death...”
“No I mean how did you become a warrior?” Octavia asked correcting her question. She wanted to know who her brother had a child with.
“I was forced into it, all my family had been warriors except for me. I was a healer.” While Harrianna explained, Clarke retuned and sat down next to her friends again. Echo, Emori, Miller, and Raven joined shortly after. “Once all my family died, and I was the only one left I had no choice but to train.”
“How did they die?” Murphy asked. Earning a slight kick from Octavia, “what? You wanted to know as well.”
Harrianna chuckled while stroking her sleeping sons hair. “I don’t mind, it’s been a long time since I lost them” she sighed. “My parents and younger brother died when fire fell from the sky. These flames came from nowhere and burned my village to the ground, killing everyone in it.”
Clarke and Raven stiffened.
“I was healing wounded in Polis, and my younger sister wasn’t close enough to the village to be burned.” She explained.
“Did you get to see your sister again?” Octavia asked softly.
“No, I received news that Tris had died in combat before I returned.”
“Did you say Tris?” Clarke asked.
“Yes. She was a second to our leader, and died a hero.” Harrianna said proudly. “I left Polis and went to the village of Tondc” She blinked away tears before continuing. “I had only been there a day when these...uilebheistean turned up. They set our village on fire, held us hostage, and screamed at us in a language we didn’t recognize. Most grounders in the village only spoke trigedasleng, and we didn’t know what they wanted. I was trying to stop the bleeding of a child who was hurt when I got shot.”
When Harrianna looked up from her son she was surprised to see all eyes on her. Clarke, Raven and Murphy all had tears in their eyes. What had she just done?

I Am Becoming Death { 1X10 part 1}
I woke up the next morning when someone started stroking my hair. I opened my eyes slowly and I groaned as my head hurt. I looked around and I immediately remembered the events of last night, making me blush. I looked up and I saw Bellamy looking at me with a soft smile on his face. As he saw that I was awake, he started stroking my left cheek and I leaned on his hand with a smile.
‘’How are you feeling?’’ Bellamy asked me with a calm voice. My smile fell as I remembered that my dad was dead. I closed my eyes tightly, trying to prevent me from crying.
‘I’m feeling better.’’ I lied with a sigh and Bellamy nodded slowly, not convinced.
‘’I know you’re lying.’’ He said and I looked at him.
‘’I know. I just don’t want to talk about it. I need some time.’’ I said honestly and he nodded.
‘’I’m here if you need anything, you know that right?’’ he asked me with a smile and I couldn’t help but smile back.
‘’Yes I know and thank you for that.’’ I thanked him and he chuckled.
‘’Don’t thank me. I try to be the boyfriend you deserve.’’ He said with a smirk making me blush. He let out a small laugh and he poked my nose. I slapped his hand away playfully.
‘’ We need to search the site of the Exodus Ship.’’ Bellamy said after some moment of silence and I nodded sadly.
‘’Alright.’’ I said and I got up. I immediately grabbed my forehead, letting out a groan. My head hurt more when I got up. Bellamy was immediately in front of me.
‘’What’s wrong Angel?’’ he asked me quickly. I shook my head and looked at him.
‘’Nothing.’’ I answered. Bellamy looked at me with a serious face and he crossed his arms. I rolled my eyes at him.
‘’My head hurts, but it’s nothing.’’ I said and he nodded. He took his shirt from the ground and put it on. As he was putting it on, I looked at his muscular body and I was amazed. I never really stared at his body before. He caught me staring and he sent me a wink, making me look at the ground. I shook my head, trying to take Bellamy’s body off my thoughts and I grabbed my green shirt, black jeans and my jacket, putting them on Bellamy’s bed. I quickly took Bellamy’s shirt off and put my shirt on. I suddenly felt light headed and I sat on the edge of the bed, holding my head in both hands. I looked up and I saw Bellamy looking at me with crossed arms and raising eyebrows. I smiled innocently, trying to play it cool. I slowly got up and put my jeans on and I could feel Bellamy’s eyes staring at me. I went to grab my jacket, but it wasn’t on Bellamy’s bed. I looked on the floor and I couldn’t find it. I looked around me confused. I thought I put my jacket on Bellamy’s bed. Am I going crazy?
‘’Are you looking for this?’’ Bellamy asked and I turned to look at him. He had my jacket on his hand. I nodded smiling and I went to take it from him, but he raised his hand with a smirk.
‘’You can take it if you give me one kiss.’’ He said smirking and I rolled my eyes playfully. I grabbed the front of his jacket, pulling him close to my face. I kissed him, placing my hands around his neck. He threw my jacket on the floor and put his hands around my waist, pulling me closer to him. I bit his lower lip, making him moan and I smirked. I pulled back and he pouted. I laughed and I tried to bend down to grab my jacket, but Bellamy didn’t let go of my waist.
‘’Bellamy. We have to go.’’ I said and he shook his head.
‘’You’re not coming.’’ He said and I frown.
‘’Of course I’m coming.’’ I said, trying to bend down to take my jacket, but not success.
‘’Jasmine. Listen to me for once. You need to stay here. You’re probably ill and if you come, I will only focus on you. Please Jas, just stay here.’’ Bellamy said, well beg me to stay and I thought about it. He was right. My head really hurt and I will only slow them down. I nodded with a sigh and Bellamy smiled and gave me a soft kiss on my lips.
‘’Be safe. Don’t do something stupid.’’ I said and Bellamy nodded with a smirk.
‘’ Don’t worry about me Angel.’’ He said, before unwrapping his arms from my waist. He took his gun, which was behind his bed and gave me a kiss on my forehead.
‘’Don’t get yourself in trouble.’’ He ordered me and it was my turn to smirk.
‘’I can promise nothing.’’ He let a laugh and with that he left. I sigh and I decided to go my back to sleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`b~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~.
‘’Jas, are you there?’’ I heard someone saying and I didn’t move a muscle. That someone sigh and came to sit beside me.
‘’Jas. I know you’re awake.’’ I knew that voice. Octaviaaa. I groaned and I opened my eyes to glare at her.
‘’What?’’ I asked irritated. I don’t like when someone wakes me up. At all.
‘’ Grumpy this afternoon, I see.’’ She said sarcastically and I rolled my eyes.
‘’You woke me up, you dingbat!’’ I exclaimed still glaring at Octavia and she just looked at me amazed.
‘’What are you doing here anyway?’’ I asked her. She smirked and she lifted one eyebrow.
‘’I could ask the same thing.’’ She said and I yawn.
‘’Well I’m sleeping on my boyfriend’s bed.’’ I said casually and her eyes widened. I swear her eyes were going to fall out. She let out a girly yell and she was lucky that my head wasn’t hurting anymore, otherwise, I would have slapped her.
‘’ I’m soo happy. So now you’re my sister!’’ she exclaimed and hugged me tightly.
‘’Ok, Octavia, that’s enough.’’ I laughed and pushed her a little bit. She let go of the hug and I got up slowly.
‘’Did Bellamy come back?’’ I asked her she shook her head as she got up too. I stretched out my sore muscles and I took my jacket from the floor, putting it on. Octavia and I left Bellamy’s tent, walking side by side, chatting mostly about Lincoln. Suddenly she stopped talking and she stared at something. I followed her gaze confused and I saw Monty sitting at a lookout spot on the fence.
‘’Why are you staring at Monty?’’ I asked her confused and she shook her head.
‘’I’m not staring at Monty. Look beside Monty. Do you see the white flower?’’ she asked, pointing and I looked again, searching beside Monty and finally saw it.
‘’Yeah and…?’’ I asked her, still really confused.
‘’Every time Lincoln comes here, he leaves me this kind of flower.’’ She said excitedly and I finally understand. She approached the flower and I followed her.
‘’Hey. No sign of your brother or the others yet.” Monty said and I sigh, worrying about Bellamy.
‘’ Hey. I don't care.’’ Octavia said casually and I slapped her arm. She rolled her eyes at me.
‘’ Jasper, tell us again, how'd you stay so calm? I would've been terrified.’’ I heard a girl asking Jasper from behind me and I turned around. Some delinquents were gathered around a fire and everyone was looking amazed at Jasper.
‘’ Fear is only a problem if you let it stop you, right?’’ Jasper responded with a smirk and I raised my eyebrow, turning to look at Octavia and Monty.
‘’ That's not even his line. Finn said that.’’ I said frowning. Jasper was lying to impress the others and that was not okay.
‘’ I saw the Grounders in the trees. It was like nothing I ever felt. You know, pure animal instinct took over. One pull of the trigger, two Grounders dead.’’
‘’ Pure animal instinct'? More like pure pant's-wetting panic.’’ I said laughing, loud enough for everyone to hear me. Some of Jasper’s group looked at me and Octavia started laughing and Monty tried to hide his smile. Jasper glared at me and I gave him a fake smile.
‘’ You don't really know what you're made of until a moment like that, you know, when it's kill or be killed and there's just nothing between you and the tip of the spear.’’ Jasper said still glaring at me.
‘’ Okay. This has to stop.’’ Octavia said and I was with her.
‘’ Come on. Let us have this!’’ Monty said, stopping us from going, while looking at his best friend.
‘’ Us?’’ I asked confused.
‘’ Look at him. The boy is a folk hero. They even gave us a bigger tent.’’ Monty said smiling, but I could see that he was a bit sad. He was left alone.
‘’ Somebody hit the trip wire!’’ Someone suddenly shouted and everybody started whispering. My thoughts went on Lincoln, maybe he was here. A ginger boy started shooting.
‘’I think I got him!’’ he shouted and everybody started moving in the direction. Octavia and I looked at each other and run in front of everyone.
‘’Jasmine be careful.’’ Someone said from behind me, but I didn’t react. When we arrived there, I saw someone laying on the floor. I slowly bent down and I touched their shoulder. The person quickly moved and I backed off. It turned out to be a badly beaten and tortured John Murphy. My eyes widened. Bellamy is not going to like this. At all.
‘’Murphy?’’ Octavia whispered and I sigh. We just added one other problem into the equation. Great.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~m~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bellamy’s P.O.V(surprise)
‘’ Where is he? Everyone but Connor and Derek out... Now!’’ I ordered as I stormed in the Drop ship with my gun, Clarke and Finn behind me. When we arrived someone informed me that Murphy tried to sneak into the camp and that made me furious. Murphy was sitting in the corner weakly. He was beaten up pretty bad and he was bleeding from everywhere. Good. Everybody quickly left and I just glared at Murphy.
‘’ He claims he was with the Grounders.’’ Derek informed me and I nodded.
‘’ We caught him trying to sneak back into camp.’’ Connor said.
‘’ I wasn't sneaking. I was running from the Grounders.’’ Murphy said weakly.
‘’ Anyone see Grounders?’’ I asked them, without taking my eyes from Murphy. They both shook their head and I shrugged.
‘’Well in that case.’’ I said before aiming my gun at Murphy, but Finn pushed my gun away, making me angrier and I glared at him instead.
‘’ Hey, what the hell is wrong with you?’’ Finn asked me in disbelief as he went in front of me.
‘’ We were clear what would happen if he came back.’’ I said through gritted teeth.
‘’ No. If he was with the Grounders, then he knows things that can help us.’’ Finn argued and I rolled my eyes. He brings on my nerves.
‘’ Help us? We hanged him. We banished him, and now we're gonna kill him. Get the hell out of my way.’’ I ordered him, while raising my gun again, ready to kill Murphy.
‘’ No. Finn is right.’’ Clarke said as she went and bent beside Murphy and I lower my gun, looking at her like she grew 2 heads.
‘’ Like hell he is. Clarke, think about Charlotte. Think about Jasmine. He was going to slit her throat open.’’ I yelled in disbelief and Murphy looked at me.
‘’I wasn’t going to kill Jasmine.’’ He said weakly and hearing Jasmine’s name coming out from his mouth made me furious.
‘’Don’t even speak of her name!’’ I said in low voice, trying to control my anger.
‘’ I am thinking about her, but what happened to Charlotte was as much our fault as his. Jasmine is fine. ‘’ Clarke said with sad eyes. She has lost her mind.
‘’He's not lying. His fingernails were torn off. They tortured him.’’ Clarke continued taking Murphy’s hand and looking at his hand.
‘’ You and the Grounders should compare notes.’’ Finn told me beside me and I decided to ignore him. It was the best for his safety.
‘’ The Grounders know we're at war. What did you tell them about us?’’ I asked Murphy, although I knew the answer.
‘’ Everything.’’ He said with a small smirk. Yup I knew his answer. That bastard. I ran my hand through my hair with an angry sigh.
‘’ Once he's better, we find out what he knows, and then he's out of here, okay?’’ Clarke said as she got up and started leaving the drop ship.
‘’What if he refuses to leave? What do we do with him then?’’ I asked Clarke, hoping she said that we can kill him. She looked back me, then at Murphy and then back at me.
‘’Then we kill him.’’ She said strongly and I nodded. I glared at Murphy and I left the drop ship, trying to find Jasmine.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~a~~~~~~
‘’Hey, have you seen Jasmine?’’ I asked a random person for the tenth time. I couldn’t find Jasmine anywhere and that freaked me out. The guy I asked shook his head and he continued walking. Suddenly a few people started coughing blood and I turned my head to the right and Clarke had bloody tears strolling down her eyes with Raven beside her. My eyes widened. What the hell is going on? Clarke run to the drop ship and I followed her. When I entered, I saw Murphy throwing up blood and Clarke interrogating him.
‘’ Bellamy, stay back.’’ Clarke ordered me and I stopped walking.
‘’ Did he do something to you?’’ I asked Clarke worried. Clarke shook her head weakly.
‘’ What the hell is this?’’ I asked her without taking my glace from Murphy.
‘’ Biological warfare. You were waiting for the Grounders to retaliate for the bridge? This is it. Murphy is the weapon.’’ Clarke said looking between me and Murphy. Realization hit me and I took a step forward glaring at Murphy. I heard coughing and I saw Derek and Connor, throwing up blood and I gulped.
‘’ Is this your revenge, helping the Grounders kill us?’’ I asked Murphy raising my voice.
‘’ I didn't know about this, okay, I swear.’’ Murphy said, trying to convince us, but I just couldn’t buy it.
‘’ Stop lying. When are they coming? ’’ I yelled frustrated and Clarke noticed it that I was in the edge to lose it.
‘’ Murphy, think, all right? What can you tell us that's useful? Did you hear anything?’’ Clarke interrogated him and he shook his head, looking at Clarke.
‘’ They are vicious, cruel.’’ Murphy whispered and I rolled my eyes.
‘’ You want to see vicious?’’ I asked him sarcastically showing him my gun and taking steps closer to him. Clarke shook her head at me and held her hand out.
‘’ Hey, don't. Whatever this thing is, it spreads through contact.’’ Clarke warned me weakly. She was getting weaker and weaker.
‘’ Clarke?’’ I heard someone saying from behind me and I turned and saw Finn.
‘’ Finn, you shouldn't be in here. No one should.’’ Clarke
‘’ I heard you were sick. Clarke, what is this?’’ Finn asked and I could hear from his voice tone that he was worried about Clarke’s health.
‘’ I don't know, some kind of hemorrhagic fever. We just need to contain it before—‘’ Clarke started explaining when she got off by Derek retching. He began to seizure pretty bad and he started coughing up blood. I took a few steps back shocked. Clarke got up, making her way over him. Finn touched her and Clarke quickly pushed him away.
‘’ Hey, don't touch me. You could get sick. Wash your hands. Now.’’ Clarke ordered Finn, but he didn’t even move. As soon as Clarke reached Derek, he stopped moving and I was afraid that he was dead. Clarke hesitantly reached out to find a pulse and her face fall.
‘’ He’s dead.’’ Clarke announced and she got up and took the bottle of alcohol in her hand.
‘’ Here. Alcohol. Hold out your hand.’’ She told Finn and he held his hands out. She poured the alcohol over his hands and put it in its place.
‘’ What do we do?’’ Finn asked desperately looking around.
‘’ Quarantine. Round up everyone who had contact with Murphy.’’ Clarke said looking at me and after at Finn.
‘’ Bring them here.’’ She continued and Finn nodded, before leaving.
‘’ And everyone they had contact with?’’ I thought loudly looking at the blonde.
‘’ Well, we have to start somewhere. Connor, who was with you when you found him? Who carried him in? ‘’ Clarke interrogated Connor, but he was just too weak to think.
‘’Think!" I told him loudly and he looked at me scared.
‘’ The first one there were Octavia and… and….’’ He started and my eyes widened. Please don’t say Jasmine, please don’t say Jasmine.
‘’And Jasmine.’’ He finished and I felt my blood froze. Shit.
‘’If anything. And I mean, anything bad happens to Jasmine, I will kill you with my bare hands.’’ I said menacingly glaring at Murphy. I threw one last hateful look at him, before running out, trying to find Octavia and Jasmine.
Jasmine’s POV
Octavia and I were in her tent, laying on the bed, looking at Lincoln’s journal. Octavia couldn’t stop smiling and that made me smile too. She must really love him. Suddenly someone’s rushed in Octavia’s tent. I turned my head quickly and I saw Bellamy trying to catch his breath. He probably was running.
‘’Bellamy!’’ I exclaimed and run at him, jumping in his arms. He easily caught me and I gave him a quick kiss on his cheek.
‘’ Jeez, you scared me.’’ Octavia said and I broke from the hug. I saw Octavia trying to hide Lincoln’s journal, but it was too late. Bellamy saw it and he frowned a little bit.
‘’How are you feeling?” Bellamy asked quickly looking at Octavia and then at me. He took my face between his hands and checked my face. I lifted my eyebrows up confused.
‘’ We’re fine. Get out.’’ Octavia ordered getting up from her bed. Bellamy let go off my face and turned to look at Octavia.
“You touch Murphy yesterday?” Bellamy asked her and I became even more confused. Octavia blinked.
‘’What?” She asked as confused as me.
‘’ Did you touch Murphy yesterday?” He asked again, trying not to lose his patience. What the hell is going on now?
‘’ No she didn’t. I did. Why?’’ I answered for her and I saw Bellamy’s head turn quickly with wide eyes. I could see worry in his eyes.
‘’ Are you crazy? Why did you touch him?!’’ He yelled at me and took my hand, dragging me out of Octavia’s tent.
‘’ I tried to help him. What is going on Bellamy?’’ I asked trying to keep up with him, as Octavia was right behind us.
‘’ The Grounders sent him here with a virus to infect us. Derek just died from it. You shouldn’t have touched him Jasmine.’’ Bellamy schooled me, still dragging me somewhere.
‘’How should I know? Where are we going?’’ I asked him confused.
‘’Dropship. Clarke is going to examine you.’’ He answered and I took my hand from his grip, making him stop walking.
‘’Bellamy I’m fine. I don’t need Clarke to examine me.’’ I argued and Bellamy closed his eyes trying to control his anger.
‘’Jasmine. Derek died from it. From this virus. Do you want to die too?’’ He asked me whispering and I shook my head.
‘’ No but Bellamy I’m fi-’’ Bellamy quickly kissed me, shutting me up.
‘’ Please, Jasmine. You know I can’t lose you. Please.’’ He begged me and I sighed. Damn it. He knew how to make me change my mind.
‘’ Wait, I presume this virus is been transmitted by contact. You shouldn’t have touched me.’’ I said panicked.
‘’ Hey relax. We will find a solution. A cure. Don’t worry about me. I’m only worrying about you right now. And Octavia.” He said softly. Making my heart melt.
‘’Are you two done yet?’’ I heard Octavia say irritated. I nodded my head at her and we started walking again in the direction off the dropship.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~[
“Okay. We're done. No visible signs of swelling or bleeding.” Clarke said weakly as she finished examine me.
‘’ So you're saying they don't have it?’’ Bellamy asked Clarke hopefully, tightening his grip on my hand.
‘’ I'm saying they don't have symptoms, but that could change. We need to keep them here just in case.” Clarke sighed and Bellamy looked at her like she was crazy.
‘’ Are you crazy? No way. Look at this place. They'll get sick just being here.’’ Bellamy said raising his voice a little bit.
‘’Bellamy relax.’’ I said calmly, but he didn’t listen. Well he never listens anyway.
‘’ Do you want to stop the spread, or not? Look. I'll keep them on the third level with the people who aren't symptomatic yet. Think of it as a way to stop Octavia from sneaking out again.’’ Clarke said looking at me and then Octavia. She had a plan in her mind.
‘’ Screw you, Clarke.’’ Octavia exclaimed coldly at Clarke and I turned around to look at Bellamy, who was glaring at Clarke.
‘’Hey Bellamy look at me. Look at me.’’ I ordered him and I turned his head, making him look at me.
‘’ We will be fine. Clarke will let you know if our condition changes. Right Clarke?’’ I continued, looking Clarke at the end. She nodded slowly looking at Bellamy. He glared one last time at Clarke and then he exhaled deeply. He looked at me and kissed me softly. He turned to leave and I grabbed his upper arm, making him turn around.
‘’ Please, be careful.’’ I pleased him and he gave me a quick smile and left.
‘’So what’s your plan?’’ I asked Clarke once Bellamy was gone.
‘’ I need you to sneak out again.’’ Clarke said quickly and my eyes widened.
‘’No Clarke! It’s dangerous. I don’t think it’s a good idea.’’ I complained, trying to convinced her, but it was useless.
‘’ Jasmine I will be fine!’’ Octavia told me smiling, coming to stand in front of me. I looked at her uncertainly.
‘’Jas, we don’t have a choice. We need to find the cure.’’ Clarke said, taking a step closer to us. After a few seconds I nodded with a sigh.
‘’Be careful. Say hi to Lincoln.’’ I said before hugging her.
‘’I will.’’ She said before leaving. Just then, I noticed the dry blood under Clarke’s eyes. Oh no.
‘’ Clarke are you ill?’’ I asked her worried, she nodded weakly and she sat down on the floor, with her back against the wall. I sat beside her and she shook her head.
‘’ No Jasmine, go on the third floor. You’ll be sick too.’’ She tried to convince me. I smiled sadly; I didn’t like watching her like this.
‘’Clarke I was the first person to touch Murphy and I’m completely fine.’’ I encouraged her.
‘’You’re so stubborn. I don’t even know why I tried to convince you.’’ She laughed weakly, making me smile.
‘’ It’s a lost battle.’’ I smirk softly at her and got up.
‘’Stay here. I’m going to check if everyone is okay. Don’t move.’’ I ordered her, climbing up the stairs.
‘’Yes Boss.’’ She said sarcastically, closing her eyes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~``~~`~~~
‘’All right. Show is over. Get back to your posts.” Bellamy ordered yelling at everyone who had gathered around the drop ship. Another boy had died and 4 guys carried the body out.
‘’ You got enough food in there, water?’’ Bellamy asked me as he walked over to the dropship, stopping to look at me. I nodded and smiled at him.
‘’ Yeah. Some medicine might be nice too, you know.’’ I said sarcastically and he let out a small laugh.
‘’ I'll see what I can do.’’ He replied back and I shook my head.
‘’Good luck with that!’’ I told him before turning around to go inside the dropship.
‘’Hey!’’ Bellamy exclaimed and I turned around with a raised eyebrow. ‘’Why aren’t you on the third floor?’’ Bellamy continued, sighing disappointedly. I let out a nervous laugh.
‘’I got bored.’’ I said casually, but Bellamy didn’t seem amused.
‘’Are you crazy? Do you want to get sick and vomit your own blood until you die?’’ He asked me raising his voice a little bit. I took a step closer to him and he took a step closer too.
‘’Answer me!’’ he demanded and I didn’t appreciate his tone of voice.
‘’Hey stop yelling at me. I’m not a baby!’’ I responded with the same tone he used. He went to respond, but Clarke cut him.
‘’ Hey, what is going on here?’’ She came beside me looking at Bellamy and I.
‘’Nothing, just Bellamy being an asshole as always.’’ I said glaring at Bellamy with crossing arms. Bellamy glared back for a few moments before shaking his head, with a sigh.
‘’Is Octavia alright?’’ He asked Clarke as he approached the dropship. My eyes widened and I took a step, putting my hands on his chest.
"Bellamy, wait. She's not here.’’ I told him with sorry eyes. He looked at me with anger, making me want to disappear. I quickly took my hands of his chest.
‘’ I sent her to see Lincoln. Look. If there's a cure, he has it. I didn't tell you because I knew you wouldn't let her go." Clarke said weakly and I noticed that she was weaker than before and paler. Bellamy’s jaw clenched and he closed his eyes for a few seconds.
‘’ If anything happens to her, you and me are gonna have problems’’ he stated angrily, glaring at Clarke and I before storming off.
‘’Bellamy wait.’’ I yelled storming after him, but he didn’t turn around.
‘’ Out of my way!’’ He yelled at a guy.
‘’Don’t be so rude!’’ I schooled him from behind him and my eyes widened as the boy turned around. Blood was running from his eyes and he looked weak. Bellamy took a step back and he pushed me behind him.
‘’ Dude, your eyes!’’ A guy ,beside Bellamy and I, yelled.
‘’Nobody touched him!’’ I yelled at everyone.
‘’ Get to the dropship. Now’’ Bellamy yelled at the boy, pointing at the dropship, but I think the guy was really dizzy, so he couldn’t understand what was going on.
‘’ Hey are you okay?’’ I heard Rave’s voice and I looked at her. Moments later, a girl was about to fall but two guys grabbed her. I saw blood pouring out of her nose. She coughed up blood and it landed on the faces of the two guys in front of her. And then, hell broke loose.
‘’ Oh, my God. Oh, my God, it's on me!’’ the guy screamed panic filling is voice. Almost everybody started pointing their guns at everyone.
‘’ Calm down!’’ Bellamy yelled, trying to calm everyone down, but no luck. I just stood there until a guy pointed his gun at me. I smacked his gun down, but he pulled it back in front of me. Finn came and smacked it down harder.
‘’Put your gun down!’’ Finn ordered, but the guy just pointed his gun on another guy, making me roll my eyes. Suddenly, I heard three gun shots, making me jump out of my skin I turned around and I saw Clarke, she had fired. Everyone, finally, shut up, looking at her.
‘’ This is exactly what the Grounders want. Don't you see that?’’ She stated, walking weakly and I went beside her to help her walk. I took her right arm and put in around my neck.
‘’ They don't have to kill us if we kill each other first.’’ I added agreeing with her.
‘’ They won't have to kill us if we all catch the virus. Get back in the damn dropship! Both of you!’’ A boy screamed, aiming his gun at us. Before I could go and punch him, Bellamy was quicker. He took the boy’s gun and smacked him with the butt, making the kid fall.
‘’ Not to state the obvious, but your quarantine isn't working.’’ Bellamy said, out of breath looking at Clarke and I. I felt Clarke’s weight dropping; making me fall with her,but before she fall, Finn rushed to her and took her in his arms, so I was the only one falling. Bellamy quickly came and pulled me on my feet.
‘’ Finn, don't touch her!’’ Raven yelled. Well, too late.
‘’Are you okay?’’ Bellamy asked me whispering and I just nodded.
‘’ Hey, let me go. I'm okay.’’ Clarke said looking at Finn.
‘’No you’re not.’’ Finn and I said at the same time.
‘’ Octavia will come back with a cure.’’ Clarke said hopefully, trying to fight sleep.
‘’ There is no cure...’’ Someone announced and I saw Octavia running to us.
‘’ But the Grounders don't use the sickness to kill.’’ Octavia continued, looking at everyone.
‘’ Really? Tell that to them.’’ Bellamy told her, pointing at the dead bodies.
‘’ I warned you about seeing that Grounder again.’’ He continued as he took a step closer to his sister.
‘’ Yeah? Well, I have a warning for you, too.’’ She said to her brother, before looking at everyone. ‘’The Grounders are coming... and they're attacking at first light." She announced and everyone on the camp started whispering and I looked at Bellamy scared. We are in big trouble.
"Come on. I'll help you get Clarke into the dropship.’’ Octavia said as she followed Finn into the dropship.
‘’ I have an idea.’’ Bellamy said, taking my head and leading me somewhere.
Jasper was by far Jill’s favorite person on the planet, well he was as long as he kept supplying ‘Unity Juice’. She had never tasted alcohol until today. At first, she cringed at the taste it left in her mouth, but now Jill was enjoying it.
Jill was currently sitting with Sterling, Fox, Miller and Clarke playing drinking games. Although she still hadn’t forgiven Clarke for banishing Murphy, the liquor was making her more bearable.
“Truth or dare, Lav?” Fox asked in a slur.
Jill shrugged, “truth.”
“What do you always wear a hat? Are you bald underneath?”
Jill finished her drink before answering. “Because I want to, and I’m not bald underneath.”
Miller let out a snort. “You are so bad at this game, I’m banning you from telling the truth again.”
She let out a chuckle and waited for it to be her turn again. Sterling, and Miller both chose dares before it was Clark’s turn. Jill watched everyone having fun. Unity day wasn’t so bad on earth. The only downside was Murphy missing it. She couldn’t have imagined the drama a drunk John Murphy would have caused.
“No, absolutely not.”
Jill snapped out of her trance when she heard Clark’s usual authoritative tone. What was she moaning about now?
“Slate wouldn’t care,” Fox said, pointing towards you. “Unless you are chicken, Griffin.”
“Wait, what's the dare?” Jill asked.
Clarke was pouting when Jill turned to face her. “They want me to kiss you.” Oh. “But they think I’m too scared.”
Jill didn’t know how much Clarke had drunk, but she imagined it was a lot if she was about to fall for the ‘prove us wrong’ act. Jill was about to point out how stupid the dare was when she felt Clarke crashing her lips against her own.
Okay, how drunk am I? Jill somehow found herself not pulling away straight away. Why hadn’t Clarke pulled away yet? The kiss was lasting far too long.
A coughing noise caused Clarke to pull away. Both girls turned to see Finn staring at them. He looked pissed. “I need you both for a moment, if you can find a moment to stop making out with each other.”
Jill and Clarke shared a look, both of them trying not to laugh. They weren’t sure if it was the alcohol, or Finn being so angry but something in the air was making them laugh uncontrollably.
______
To say the walk to meet Anya was uncomfortable, was an understatement. Finn had been in a mood ever since you left camp.
“The Ark is about survival at any cost. You know, kill people who fall out of line. When those people get down here, if they feel threatened they will start a war.”
Jill rolled her eyes as Finn rambled on. Her head was hurting, and she was far too stressed to listen to them bicker.
Clarke let out a sigh of frustration. “Seriously, Finn, you're putting a lot of faith in a guy who stuck a knife in you.”
Finn scrunched his face up at the comment. “And you're sounding more and more like Bellamy.”
“I'm just trying to keep us alive Finn.”
“So am I.”
Jill stopped walking and turned to face both of them. “Guys, shut up. We don’t have time for this, okay? And for the record, I trust Lincoln as well. He saved Octavia, and he only stabbed Finn in self-defence.”
Looking past Finn and Clarke, Jill could see the figures of three of her campmates approaching from the trees. Finn wasn’t aware that his girlfriend, along with Bellamy, and Jasper were coming for backup. Jill shared a small smile with Bellamy as he smirked at her.
When reaching the bridge, Jill noticed Octavia and Lincoln waiting for them. Jill smiled as Clarke questioned the younger Blake.
Clarke shook her head in disbelief. “So, that's how you set this up? You helped him escape, didn't you?”
“Easy Griffin,” Jill said, stepping in between them. “Octavia has already mentioned she trusts him, and we are here now. Let’s just see how this plays out.”
Lincoln stepped to the edge of the brick bridge. “Anya is approaching now. It will offend her that you still have weapons.”
Jill handed her knife over to Finn, before going to Clarke to join Anya on the bridge. Truthfully, Jill did not know why Anya wanted to meet with her. She understood her wanting to meet Clarke, but her? That made no sense.
Jill and Clarke extended a hand each to Anya. The Trikru warrior shook, looked them both up and down, before shaking Jill’s hand and ignoring Clarke.
The grounder stopped walking and glanced at them. “Your name is Clarke?”
“Yes, and this is-”
“I’m Anya.” The grounder spoke, cutting Clarke off. “And I know who Jill of Skaikru is.”
Jill gulped down as Clarke started speaking. “I think we got off to a rough start. But we want to find a way to live together, in peace.”
Anya scoffed. “I understand? You started a war that you don't know how to end.”
Jill studded Anya’s face. What have we done? “We never meant to cause any harm. We didn’t know anybody was down here, we thought all of humanity had died.”
Clarke wasn’t accepting that they created a war. “What? No, we didn't start anything. You attacked us for no reason.”
The grounder shared a look with the grounders who were standing behind her. Her own backup. “No reason? The missiles you launched burnt a village to the ground.”
“The flares?” Jill said as the realization stuck her.
“No, that was a signal meant for our families. We had no idea . . ." Clarke gasped.
Anya’s tone was getting louder and more aggressive as she spoke. “Your invaders. Your ship landed in our territory.”
“This is because of what happened to Lincoln, isn’t it?” Jill asked.
Anya nodded. Clarke wasn’t impressed. “Grounders took lavender, it’s even.”
“Even?” Anya asked harshly.
Jill shook her head. This wasn’t supposed to happen. She and Clarke were meant to fix this situation, stopping any more violence from happening. “I’m not mad,” Jill said, gaining attention from both women. “What your people did to me was unspeakable, but so is what my people did to Lincoln. He didn’t deserve that, and for that I’m sorry.”
“My men informed you had the opportunity to kill them when you escaped, but didn’t.” Jill felt her face burn as Anya spoke. “Why didn’t you?”
Jill chewed on her bottom lip as she thought of a reasonable answer that wouldn’t make her seem weak. In the end, she went with the truth. “I’m not comfortable taking a human life.”
Anya opened her mouth to reply when a gun was fired. Jill ducked down, grabbing Clarke with her. Neither of them sure where the gunshot came from.
The grounders began yelling in their native language. Shit. They had to leave.
“Run!”
Jill and Clarke raced back across the bridge, and meeting up with their people all seven of them rushed back to camp.
With her previous stab wound aching, Jill slowed down and was falling behind the rest quickly. Bellamy noticed and gripped her hand to drag her along with him. Scared she would fall behind and be killed.
______
Returning to camp wasn’t easy, but the group managed with no major injuries except for Jill’s stitches opening up.
Bellamy helped Jill stand as she had become weak with exhaustion and pain. The previous alcohol working its way through her systems didn’t help either.
Finn and Clarke had been arguing since they returned, Finn blamed Jill and Clarke for what happened since they brought backup. A decision both girls stood firmly by. Raven was upset because Finn didn’t tell her about it. As they argued, Bellamy wrapped his arm around Jill’s waist to help her stand better and was surprised to feel something wet pressing against his bare arm.
“What I want to know is why Anya seems to like her more than Clarke.” Raven said directly at Jill. “Are you another one with connections to the grounders?”
Octavia opened her mouth to respond when Bellamy cut her off. “Enough! We don’t have time for this.” Bellamy pulled Jill’s jacket to reveal the blood soaking through to her top. “Clarke, she needs medical attention now.”
“Oh god, get her to the drop-ship now!” The blonde said frantically. Clarke felt guilty of not noticing sooner.
“What was that?” Jill asked weakly, while pointing at the sky.
Most of the camp now noticed the second drop-ship that was coming to earth. A few cheers of happiness could be heard before Clarke spoke. “Something's wrong, it’s coming in to fast.”
At the same time the sonic blast happened, Jill passed out. Bellamy caught her and held her bridal style in his arms. “Clarke, I’m sorry about your mom, but you need to help.”
Clarke blinked away her tears and headed towards the drop-ship with only one thought going through her mind. Her mom was dead.
Hey! Just read your answer where you mention how Bellamy turns down Clarke in the list scene. I never thought of it that way, but I'm really curious to hear your reasoning behind it, if you will. I love your analysis and more often than not it has added more depth to the story that is unfolding on the screen. Thanks!
Ok so. He touches her shoulder to make her feel better. That’s not a move.
But SHE escalates that touch, making it more intimate.
She covers his hand with her own... I would like to remind the audience of another, similar action in season 3, when Niylah was caring for her wounds, and Clarke put her hand over hers and then moved it to her breast, thus escalating her first human touch in three months to sex.
So with Bellamy she puts her hand on his, and then nuzzles their hands with her cheek, escalating the intimacy to something that COULD be sexual again, but was, comparatively, actually much more about emotions than physicality.
Bellamy’s response to that was to drop the painful conversation and break the intimate touch and to say, “get some sleep.”
If it wasn’t a sexual move, or he didn’t interpret it as a sexual move, then it’s just an abrupt departure (he doesn’t even take his jacket, he walks out in his shirtsleeves,) dropping the conversation of who lives and who dies and suddenly no longer offering her emotional support for this terrible thing.
It’s kind of weird that he’d just ditch her when she needed emotional support for this HUGE list issue. So then that makes me wonder why he’d leave like that. (Forgetting his jacket, which has been confirmed is a symbolic representation of his need to feel armored against the danger of the world. Shirtsleeve Bellamy is open. Emotionally. Wearing a jacket that’s zipped up, he’s armored and got his defensive up. Running off without a jacket leaves him vulnerable. He RAN from clarke. Where was the vulnerability??
Oh yes, he DID interpret her move (same as with Niylah) as sexual in nature and it FLIPPED HIM OUT. He ran. From that gesture.
She, meanwhile, stared after him sadly, and then went to work. Shortly after that... she went to bed with Niylah. So. Clearly sex WAS on her mind. She wanted him. She couldn’t have him. She went to someone else.
This leads to the next scene where we see them together. After Clarke’s with Niylah, she walks into the meeting late and Bellamy does what? He GLARES at her.
My speculation? He knows where she was. With Niylah. And he is connecting her getting boned with the move she made on him right before. So what does he think? He thinks it was just sex and he was easily replaceable. He turned her down, so she got laid by Niylah instead. There WAS nothing romantic about her move on him, it was just sex in the time of the apocalypse, like all of Jasper’s group was up to, living it up at the end of the world.
The NEXT scene with them is him telling her it’s time to go and he is ANGRY with her. Clarke is very confused, she doesn’t know why he’s angry with her, I don’t think she connects anything to sex or Niylah or jealousy, because well, he wasn’t interested, right? she made a fool of herself and he turned her down. It couldn’t be jealousy or feelings could it? Nahh. It has to be OCTAVIA. Octavia? she asks, he admits he’s upset about Octavia.
BUT they have OFTEN talked of Octavia as a substitute for talking about their own feelings. When she wants to know how he feels, she asks about Octavia, when he wants to connect with her, he asks about Octavia. This is a pattern before this scene and after. Octavia connects them.
So, he gets over his mad at her, because they’re partners. Shortly after he thinks she’s dead for a moment and then he rescues her in the rover chase and then at the beach, SHE says that Octavia will recognize “how special he is,” and is terrified that he’ll realize SHE thinks he’s special and that move really was a romantic move that he rejected and she can’t face that, and he might not recognize THAT but he recognizes his feelings for her must be spoken, so he starts to say “if I don’t see you again,” and she cuts him off, afraid of the words, afraid of the feelings afraid of that if.
And then they separate, because MISSION.
That was ALL romantic development of the mutual pining type. Jealousy. Sexual moves. Rejections. “Does he/she love me?” and both coming to the conclusion “not that way” due to rejection/sleeping around.
Nobody believed my interpretation back when it happened, but people are now seeing it. Nothing has happened since to make me think my interpretation is inaccurate and a bit has happened that confirms it. Clarke has a tendency to go for the rebound shag. (L,Niylah and Cillian.) Three times is a pattern. And oh they didn’t like me saying L was a rebound after the bellarke fight in Hakeldama, but patterns are patterns. And Bellamy’s jealousy has only GROWN.
This is romantic development. People think I’m making this shit up.
What do you mean when you say the list scene where clarke makes a move and bellamy turns her down? Do you mean like him only accepting being on the list if she's on it?
I survived the end of the world a few times now. My parents however, have not. I was left alone with my younger sister Madi, but she ended up running off and I lost her. I hoped with my heart that she was safe, but I couldn’t find her. I kept life the same incase she came back.
I was laying in bed one night getting some rest and that’s when the nightmares hit. I couldn’t breath. Something was around my neck being tightened and I was clawing at my neck begging for air. Then it changed to my fingernails being ripped off, something slicing my skin open, and then being beaten badly. These were my soulmate’s injuries. Well, just a few. My parents explained it to both Madi and I when it first happened. When I couldn’t breath. Madi was so scared since we were just playing and she was just a toddler. I thought I was going to die, but it only lasted a couple minutes. Then when my soulmate was obviously tortured and that scared Madi even more. Now the world is over again and I haven’t gotten any new injuries. I was worried that my soulmate had died in the end, but I would have gotten injuries right? I would have died too, right? Doesn’t matter, I have Madi to worry about. I was out hunting when I heard something. I looked up in the sky and my eyes widened. A ship was coming down and landing in my village. No. No! I quickly went to the edge and watched them land. A lot of people walked out, more than I could handle. Then someone shot and killed some of these invaders. I looked to where the shot came from and my eyes widened. Madi was there with another woman. She looked to be around my age, maybe younger, hard to tell. The invaders started after them and I ran to follow them. I had to protect Madi. I watched as the woman placed Madi in a hole and covered her with leaves so they wouldn’t see her. The woman was hurt, she was shot. She ran, leaving Madi in the hole. I waited for the invaders to run after her and ran to Madi.
“Madi!” I whispered as I moved the leaves and twigs.
“Y/N? You’re okay!” She whispered back.
“We need to go. Now.” I whispered and tried to pull her out.
“No! They’ll kill us!” She whispered.
“No, trust me. We know this land better than they do.” I said and we ran.
“Follow me.” She said and led me her way.
“Where are we going Madi?” I asked.
“We have traps, follow me.” She said. They were running after us and I followed Madi. I stepped exactly where she stepped and noticed that there were traps, smart girl. Suddenly they stopped following us and we were safe.
“Start explaining Madi.” I said and she sighed.
“I got lost and couldn’t find my way back. Then Clarke found me. She’s kept me safe and she’s really nice. I’m sorry Y/N. I never meant to leave you alone.” She said with a few tears in her eyes.
“It’s alright Madi. I’m just so happy you’re safe.” I said pulling her close to me. Night had fallen now and we saw yet another ship come down.
“More intruders.” I whispered and grabbed my sword and spear.
“Stay here.” I said.
“No, I’m coming with you.” She said.
“Madi, you’re staying here.” I said and she shook her head.
“Please, let me come. I can help.” She said and I shook my head.
“I’m not letting you get hurt!” I said.
“I won’t, I’ll do everything you say I promise.” She said and I sighed.
“Fine, but you stay close to me.” I said and she picked up a gun.
“Clarke taught me.” She said and I nodded. I pushed her behind me and we made our way to the ship. We saw the people that took our village holding guns at the people that came down. So they’re not the same people. One of the men went to shoot four of the people, but I quickly took my spear and threw it at one of the guys, hitting him in the neck. Madi held her gun up and shot the others.
“Madi!” I growled and grabbed her.
“I told you to stay close!” I said, but she was looking past me.
“Bellamy?” She asked and I looked back to see her staring at the guy in front.
“Clarke knew you would come.” She said and pushed past me, walking closer to them.
“Clarke’s alive?” He asked.
“She’s in trouble. We have to go.” Madi said.
“What about the others in the bunker?” The other guy asked.
“Still there.” Madi answered and I was so lost.
“What? No, no. how can that be?” Bellamy asked.
“I’ll explain on the way.” She said and grabbed Bellamy.
“Madi!” I growled and she stopped, looking at me.
“Y/N, we need to go. Clarke needs-”
“I don’t give a damn what Clarke needs. You are going to explain who these people are, before I kill them.” I said holding my sword up, ready to fight.
“They’re Clarke’s people, please Y/N we need to save her.” She begged and I narrowed my eyes.
“They are her people. Not ours.” I said.
“She saved me Y/N, please.” She begged and I stared at my sister.
“Fine.” I said and pulled my sister away from Bellamy.
“You stay near me this time.” I said and she nodded. She led me and the rest of the people to a truck. She was driving back to our village and Bellamy got out.
“You heard what he said. We need to go.” I said and Madie drove off.
“Explain now.” I said once we were safe. Madi explained everything that Clarke told her.
“Oh, that’s all.” I said rolling my eyes.
A day had passed and we were all hiding now. Madi was talking to Clarke’s people. She was very interested in what they had to say, she knew a lot about them. As night fell I started getting bruises on my face while we were watching the village.
“Y/N!” Madi whispered when I groaned in pain.
“I’m fine.” I said.
“But-”
“Madi, I said I’m fine.” I said and she nodded, but still had worry swimming in her eyes. Someone ran out and the girl I learned was named Echo grabbed him and covered his mouth.
“Don’t make any more noise.” She said and let him go.
“Oh thank God. Raven knew you guys would be watching the camp. We gotta go. Now.” He said. Echo whistled and everyone walked out.
“Where’s Raven?” Emori asked.
“She’s still there.” He answered.
“You left her? Why am I not surprised?” Emori said.
“She made a deal to get me out. Listen-”
“Shock collar?” Monty asked and went to touch it.
“Trust me. I wouldn’t do that.” He said and grabbed his arm.
“What about Abby and Kane? We saw them being led off the ship? Harper asked.
“You did?” He asked confused.
“That means Bellamy got the bunker open. Did he not come back?” Echo asked.
“What about Clarke?” Madi asked, stepping forward.
“Madi.” I hissed and moved behind her.
“Who’s the Hobbit and chick? You know what? Never mind. We just gotta get a warning to Bellamy before they fire their missiles.” He said.
“Missiles?” Monty asked, shocked. I knew I shouldn’t have trusted these people…
“Yeah, as in fiery death from above. Raven said that we need to get into radio range. Where’s the rover?” He asked.
“Bear cave. I’ll drive.” Madi said and stared off.
“Don’t worry. The bears are gone.” She said and I sighed.
Damit Madi.” I said and we followed her. We got in the car and the new guy who Madi told me was John Murphy was trying to reach Bellamy on the radio.
“What?” John asked when Madi kept looking at him.
“Thought you’d be funnier.” She said.
“Clarke told her stories.” Monty said.
“Oh really? Was I the dashing hero who got the girl?” He asked.
“Or the selsigh fool who lost her?” Emori asked. Suppose they’re soulmates, or their soulmates are dead and they just got together.
“Octavia’s my favorite. I mean, no offense. Clarke said she wouldn’t have made it without each one of you.” Madi said and I rolled my eyes.
“We wouldn’t have made it without her.” Echo said.
“Not even close.” Harper agreed.
“You shouldn’t have known about any of this if you just-” I cut myself off with a scream. Pain seared my neck and I didn’t even notice that John was having the same problem.
“Y/N!” Madi shouted and grabbed my hand.
“I-I’m alright.” I said breathing heavily.
“Oh my God. You two are soulmates!” Madi said with wide eyes.
“We have to stop those missiles.” Echo said when I tuned back into their conversation. John opened the door, ready to get out.
“What are you doing?” Monty asked.
“What I have to do, okay? Echo’s right. Just leave me behind.” John answered.
“No way. If it has a tether, it’ll have a tracker too. They’re probably on their way right now.” Monty said.
“That means you gotta go.” He said and got out of the car.
“Go. Before our friends explode.” He said.
“I’ll stay.” I said.
“Y/N no!” Madi said.
“Listen to me Madi. If I go with you you’ll see horrible things happen to me again. Do you remember when you saw I couldn’t breath or the torture I went through?” I asked and she nodded with tears pricking her eyes.
“I’m not putting you through that fear again. You stay with them and as soon as you see Clarke you stick to her, promise me.” I said and she nodded.
“I promise.” She said and I kissed her head.
“We’ll see each other again.” I whispered and got out. Emori followed me out too.
“I can help.” She whispered and I nodded. John looked over and saw us.
“Come on.” Emori sighed.
“What are you doing here?” He asked me.
“Turns out you’re my soulmate and I’m not putting Madi through seeing me be hurt because of you again.” I said with a small smirk.
“Soulmate huh?” He said with a smirk.
“Unless you enjoy hurting me, I suggest we go.” I said and hurried after Emori.
“Whatever you say.” He said following behind me.
chapter 1: circling the drain
Clarke feels guilty.
Not for the death of Simone or Josephine. Not for locking Russel up in solitude, as he processes and grieves the loss of his entire family. And she most certainly doesn’t feel guilty for taking over the farmhouse he built and using it to keep her own people in.
No, she decides as she stands at the kitchen sink. I feel guilty for being unhappy.
“Hey,” Bellamy greets her as he enters the kitchen, running a hand through his hair. Clarke doesn’t look up as she continues to scrub the dishes left from this morning’s breakfast. She can feel the frown on Bellamy’s face before he even says anything.
“What part of ‘Hey’ did you not hear?” His tone is one of jest and humour.
Just then, Madi races through the kitchen with Picasso trailing close behind her. She whoops and hollers, riling up the golden retriever as they speed out the back door to where the rest of her family is sitting outside, soaking up the golden rays of the planet’s suns.
Scrub, scrub, scrub. That’s all she thinks to herself. Maybe the harder she scrubs, the more of her guilt she can erase.
Bellamy’s hand is suddenly over hers, stunting the rhythm of her back and forth motion. Clarke is finally snapped out of her daze and gazes up at her best friend, her confidant.
“That cup looks pretty clean to me,” Bellamy says gently. His grip is cautious but firm as he takes the cup from Clarke and places it on the drying rack next to the sink. He shifts to lean his back against the counter, arms crossed. Clarke stays where she is, dish sponge in hand and fingers severely pruned from the scalding water.
“You wanna tell me what’s up?”
The tension she’s been holding eases, a feeling that she’s now come to associate with Bellamy’s presence.
“Nothing,” she lies in one breath.
Bellamy gives her a look that says, Bullshit.
“I swear!” She doubles down. “I’m fine. Look at this place!” She gestures around with the sponge still in her hand.
Bellamy keeps his eyes trained on her as she continues.
“We’re in this beautiful farmhouse. We’re alive and breathing, eating whatever we want whenever we want. This is everything we ever hoped for when they sent us to the ground.”
Just then, Murphy stalks into the kitchen, plucking an apple from the island countertop. He gives Clarke and Bellamy a silent wave before leaving to join the others outside.
“Everybody’s happy,” she adds quietly.
“Not everybody.” Bellamy points out.
He’s seen right through her, as he always does.
“It’s just…I feel guilty. And selfish. Selfish for feeling guilty.”
“Clarke, you’ve just lost your mom. This is normal.”
“But --” and she can feel herself spiraling now. “We’ve been through so much…hardship. So much anguish. Finally, we have found some semblance of peace and our people are settled. I should be overjoyed, fulfilled. Instead, I feel…empty.”
“Because it’s not the way you envisioned it. Not without your mom.”
She shakes her head at the same time tears threaten to escape the edges of her eyelids. “I just – she should be here. She deserved to find peace too.”
There’s a beat of silence, then Bellamy breaks it. “Maybe she did, in the end.”
“How? By dying thinking I was already dead?”
“By finally getting to rest.”
Clarke doesn’t know what to say. She wants to believe that’s true; after all, she was no stranger to the belief that life was hell on earth and death was the true way to peace. Her memories bring her back to a time back on Earth, lips cracked and bleeding, gun pressed to her head in anguish. There was no doubt then that ending her life would’ve been the only way to truly put a period on her suffering.
But then she pushed through and ended up here, with her found family. They ate breakfast together around the table for every meal, passing plates of food around as if they had been practicing this domesticity their entire lives. She’d never seen her friends smile so often or laugh so fully. There was a sense of relaxation, something she never thought she’d get to experience unless…well, unless she was dead.
“Clarke, I don’t mean to be a pessimist,” Bellamy bursts her thought bubble. “But even though it may seem like we’ve found a good home here, there always seems to be some sort of trouble looming around the corner. Who’s to say that tomorrow we won’t be fighting for our lives again?”
She puckers her lips and dips a hand into the sink, yanking the drain plug out of its socket. “Real comforting, Bellamy. Thanks.”
They both watch as the dirty water in the sink starts to deplete, a vortex swirling above the drain.
“Abby died thinking you were dead, yes. But don’t you think she would’ve found peace in the end, thinking she was going to see you again?”
Clarke hadn’t thought about it that way. This time, a tear does spill onto her cheek, leaving a track down her face as she peers up at the man standing beside her. He’s already gazing back, their shoulders so close they’re almost touching and –
“Bellamy?”
They both jump and turn in unison, finding Echo staring at them from the other side of the kitchen island. She’s got a bag slung over her shoulder and another gripped tightly in her hand. There’s a slight frown on her face like she’s just tasted something sour, but the moment passes as she addresses Bellamy again.
“Gabriel and Octavia want to leave to check out the anomaly now. I packed everything I thought we’d need.”
Bellamy blinks hard – once, twice, then three times before he snaps back into action. “Right. Thanks, Echo.”
“How long do you think you’ll be?” Clarke asks, worry starting to seep into her bones once again.
“Should only be a few days,” Echo responds as Bellamy moves around the island to take the pack. “I’m not entirely convinced about Gabriel’s theory anyway so we may be back even sooner.”
Clarke looks between the two of them as they share a glance, a pang of jealousy searing its way through her chest. Forcing it down, she gives a genuine smile. “Okay. Please be safe. And look after each other?”
Echo nods quickly before turning to leave down the hallway and out the front door. Bellamy hesitates, turning back to Clarke. She raises her eyebrows expectantly.
“Don’t beat yourself up too much while I’m gone,” he says through a smile, but Clarke can hear the underlying uncertainty in his tone.
“I’ll try not to.”
“Good.”
Bellamy lingers still, his dark eyes searching her face. Clarke worries he’s about to get left behind so she makes a shooing motion with her hand, urging him to go.
“I’ll see you soon,” he says through a laugh. Turning, he strides down the hallway disappearing from her view.
With a sigh, Clarke glances back at the sink and watches as the last of the water empties, the vortex becoming smaller and smaller until there is nothing left to circle the drain.
