The chronicles of the Kuroo household

Description : timeskip!Kuroo with mom!reader and baby Kenma (8) and Lev (6) (Kenma and Lev are the reader and Kuroo's kids)

Author's note : I wanted to post a lil something for Kenma's birthday (not really Kenma-centric but yeah) bc hahahaha I haven't posted on this blog in such a long time

Kenma hangs around with Kuroo a lot but is more like you

Lev has to be held at all times or the house is on fire

Lev brought home a cat and Kenma named him kitten

Kuroo came home from his workplace and literally just went "if Kenma's fine with it I don't see the problem"

Lev and his dad have the literal same sleepy face. You and Kenma's sleepy face is basically copy pasted

You and Kenma are night owls and often sneak out at random times during the night as dada Tetsu is asleep with Lev on his back

Tetsuro always knows, even when deep in sleep, when you and Kenma soundlessly move out the room and make your way to the kitchen, (Kenma with his fully charged PSP and you with your book) but doesn't wake up so Lev can sleep in peace

Lev is taller than Kenma and Kenma has physically beaten him to make him "shorter"

(thankfully you stopped it)

since then Lev makes it a point to walk in a way that makes him look short (kinda awkward, but cute nonetheless) so Kenma can be a lil taller and cooler

You once found Lev and Kitten in the kitchen at night and deadass couldn't tell who was who bc the lights were off

You and Kenma are definitely NOT morning people

but Kuroo and Lev?? Wake up before the sun rises, make their side of the bed, go out for a jog, cook breakfast

(yes this is me being unable to cook and relying on him to make meals or ordering takeout which is something he doesn't like)

heck, even practice volleyball (if Tetsuro has a day off)

before you and Kenma wake up groggily at like 11:30 and curse the sun for being so bright, drawing all the curtains

The only way to keep you both awake is your books and Kenma's PSP

And maybe coffee (for you) and the promise of apple pie for Kenma (he goes feral when he doesn't get it so your house is stocked with that stuff)

Ok moving on to Kenma and Lev's relationship

Kenma prefers to hang around in silence as it helps him think but Lev always needs some kind of background music or sound playing

It was difficult in the beginning, getting Kenma accustomed to having something always playing, but eventually he didn't mind it that much

Lev always waits outside Kenma's classroom so they can meet you together (you're waiting for both of them near the school's door)

Kenma says he doesn't have to and that he'd rather walk alone but he secretly likes it when Lev accompanies him as he'll have someone to navigate him through the halls as his head is buried in his PSP the moment he leaves class

Lev is that one kid who greets everyone on their way out and all Kenma wants to do is go home

At first Kenma... didn't really like the idea of having a younger brother. You and Tetsuro, being the good parents you were, understood, but also explained to him that he'd have someone to talk to when the two of you were busy

He said"I don't wanna talk to anyone"

Kuroo finally convinced Kenma by saying that "he'd have someone to do his chores for him" you slapped his arm but Kenma agreed in the end

Kenma did do his chores, but he'd often make Lev do them for him when he was focused on beating a hard level

Lev would do it so happily! He'd be like "Oh nii-san wants me to do something for him??? Sure!!!!!" and run off to finish Kenma's chore for him

Kuroo watches him and cackles at Lev and how clever Kenma was, you nudge him to stop

Lev pesters Kenma to play with him, and Kuroo encourages him to join them while playing volleyball, so he just sighs and joins them

You and Kuroo take Fridays off so you could have a long weekend. It's often spent playing volleyball (Kuroo doesn't want his passion to die, so he makes it a point to play volleyball)

Or sometimes you guys go out to an amusement park or to a new restaurant you found

Sometimes you guys go to tourist destinations around the place you live

Museum visits every month are a must as you and Kuroo are huge nerds science and history enthusiasts

If I had to describe the vibe you would have around your house, it's melodious. Not too loud, not too soft, but gentle

“Kenma-san!” He basically screams, thankfully far away enough from his sensitive ears that it doesn’t outright hurt. Lev puts his chin over the crown of his head and Kenma sighs, “Kenma-san! I am so happy! Some of the other second years thought you would bail on us! But you didn’t! Now you can keep tossing to me.”

Kenma reluctantly spoons vanilla into his mouth, watching the sun set. And when everything is dusted in stripes of pale orange and purple and gold, he glances at Kuroo’s profile muddled in the shadows of the descending sun, and wonders whether he had somehow accidentally made friends with an impressive sort of boy. The ice-cream melted under his thumb feels maddeningly sticky, like he’ll never wash it away thoroughly enough and it would leave its mark wherever he touched before he could.

Kenma has never really thought of anyone as good-looking before, never really cared enough about these things to notice them. But Kuroo is objectively so, in this light, in this angle—maybe all the time.

so yeah, yaku would convince lev and yamamoto that you were just a figment of kuroo’s imagination

even thoUGH YAKU KNEW YOU WERE A REAL PERSON BC HE HAD MET YOU BEFORE AND  HE KNEW THAT YOU WERE DATING KUROO AIREBVKZGA he just loved annoying kuroo <3

and he did the job well bc kuroo was definitely annoyed

Kōtarō Bokuto

he hypes you up to his team constantly

they’ve literally never even met you and they are being asked all these questions from bokuto lol

‘hey onaga, did you see (y/n) at their nationals game the other day?’

onage flinched upon being jump-scared by his captain, then choked out a little white lie, ‘uh yeahhh.’

bokuto’s face lit up, ‘great! they were so amazing during the third set, weren’t they? what was your favourite part?’

onaga froze, ‘uhh- oh, i think i hear anahori calling me to help him practise his sets! gotta go.’ then he proceeded to bolt off

bokuto shrugged it  off at first as he shouldn’t complain bc a teammate dropped a conversation to continue training with anahori - i mean, onaga came to volleyball club to practise so he wasn’t obligated to make conversation with bokuto

but while he was saying his goodbyes to everyone as they left the gym to go home, it hit him-

‘bye, komi! buh-bye, washio! and goooodbyeeee, konoha.’ bokuto let out a relived sigh as he had now finished saying his partings which meant he could lock the gym then go home, ‘wait-- ANAHORI DIDN’T EVEN COME TO PRACTISE TODAY! ONAGA!’

bokuto was deeply disheartened that his own teammate would lie to him - to get out of a conversation about you, no less

he just wanted them all to love you as much as he does

they’d interview him about his own affair or about the MSBY Black Jackals but he genuinely has no interest in talking about that bc today is your day and he is here to support you

after a while bokuto stuffed a handful of popcorn in his mouth and chuckled, ‘don’t know! but the game is about to begin, shhh!-’ he hushed the interviewer, instinctively swatting the microphone away as he stood up in the stands to cheer for you, ‘WOOOO! GO, (Y/N)!’  

then he turned to the interviewer who stood frozen with a dumbfounded look on his face, ‘THAT’S MY LOVERRRR!’ he screamed into the microphone so loudly that all the press naturally backed off

he is such an ushijima

he is ushijima if he wasn’t left-handed

he doesn’t really brag about you too often at practise but he feels so proud when you win a game then he comes to practise the next day and his teammates tell him to pass on a congratulations

also he always comes to your games

no matter how minor or how large

you’d think you could both bond a lot over volleyball and you did that in the beginning

but over time - especially when you started playing volleyball professionally - you found other things to bond over and saved volleyball for work

he probably runs a (y/n) stan page AEIVBARTBV

AND YOU’D NEVER GUESS

like he is literally a rice farmer- you are under the impression that he doesn’t even know what facebook is

and he’s good at selling the act too

anyway he ALWAYS tries to ensure that the first thing you eat after a big game is something that he cooks

again, when you and oikawa first started dating, volleyball was one of the only things y’all talked about

but now that you were both doing it professionally, it was basically banned in your home

well, the the game itself wasn’t banned but i mean, why would you do something all day then come back to talk about it more?

you both might adore volleyball but everything has it’s limits lol

anyway, oikawa is another one that is extra af when they come to your games

he probably makes a sign and paints his face in your team colours

and when you come out onto the court, he’ll blow you a kiss and if you don’t blow one back he’ll be so offended lmao

bc he always makes a big deal out blowing you a kiss or winking at you as soon as he steps out onto the court

it’s basically a thing he does for good luck at this point

also, if there are ever ppl trying to take pictures of y’all in public- oikawa is the first to make a big show for them

like he’s all up on you 

he’ll dip you then push his lips against you for a passionate kiss, in front of the ppl and they always go fkn crazy

he thinks he is like..Beyoncé famous...which he is not

please humble him 

but nicely 

but y’all only get attention around summertime when you are frequently playing big games 

like if oikawa leaves the house a week you competed in a big game- he’ll literally get swamped with ppl asking about you 

but contrarily, if you both leave the house in winter literally no one would even spare you a glance

on a RARE occasion, someone might sneakily snap a photo but that’s it

so you get the best of both worlds :))

also, if you’re an ace and he’s ever feeling down, if you ask him to set for you for a bit and you compliment one/all of his sets, he’ll literally feel so much better 

Kiyoomi Sakusa 

sometimes you both come back from a rough day at work, slump on the couch and watch TV together

after showering, changing, dinner etc

he’s not nna come anywhere near you if he thinks there is a chance he might be stinky from practise 

he turned on the TV and it just so happened to be on an Live volleyball game in some language that neither of you understood

he’d snake his arms around your shoulders and pull you close to his chest, satisfied by your synced breathing 

he’d press a single kiss against your jaw before shifting his attention onto the channel

you’d lay there in his arms, both of you seeming content in each other’s presence while watching the game

in reality though, neither of you were actually absorbing anything that was happening on the court - you were just staring blankly at the TV

the TV simply served as background noise to your cuddling

tbh he was way more interested in hearing the sound of your heart beat peacefully against his chest 

after a while, if he gets bored, he might finally break the silence by inquiring about your day

but if he doesn’t, you’d probably end up falling asleep in his arms, forcing him to sleep on the couch bc he’s doesn’t want to risk moving and waking you up 🥺

anyway, he’s another one that likes to save volleyball for work then leave it by the door as soon as you step inside the house 

but he’s not as uptight about it as oikawa or kita

like he’ll happily put on a volleyball match for you guys to watch if he thinks the player’s techniques are impressive

also, if the weather is nice, if you ask him to come out and practise with you for a bit and he’ll say yes 🤠

but actually 🤔 now that is think about it, if you guys had a pool in your back garden sakusa would definitely make the most of it

you’ll humbly ask him spike for you on a nice sunny day and he’ll be like

‘volleyball? really? we bought this expensive ass house with a pool which we can only use 4 out the 365.25 days of the year and you want to play volleyball? don’t you do that like..every work day.’

what can i say? man likes getting his moneys worth 🤷‍♂️

‘so is that a no to volleyball?’ you’d ask

as for your games, he turns up in casual wear 😔

when he first knows you, he has no idea that you would be a cat person! he’s kinda afraid if you don’t like cats or afraid of cats 

but when he knows you have cats at home, his heart goes 💕💞💖 finally!! something to bond over!

whenever both of you are on a date, he will see you picking up any random cats you see on the street and cuddle them as if they were your babies 

your baby voice that comes out makes his heart flutters bcs omg you could be such a good parent soon!! 

when he comes over your house to cuddle, your cat will get in between both of you guys. semi loves your cats like he loves his! sometimes he will cuddle your cats and leave you alone smh

both of you guys are the couple your friends will go like “there are cat hairs on your clothes” whenever they meet you guys

they even call you guys cats freak because how do both of you handle taking care of so many cats?!!

suna!! he likes cats and have one or two at home! maybe kittens too i imagine him having a tabby or the very fluffy or chonky one aaaa!! 😇😇

having the same interest with his s/o always makes him feel excited to talk about it. when he first sees you playing with cats and make them dance, his heart just combusted 🤩

at first, he avoids playing/using baby voice with cats in front of you. he doesnt want to look like a fool even though it’s difficult to resist at times!

and when you see him doing that, you feel funny but it’s adorable!! it’s unlike him to get so childish around cats and it feels new to see this side of him. his baby voice is EVERYTHINGGGG

is the one to ask you to go to a cat café for a date! 

all cats will surround both of you, both of you attract cats like magnets!

for when you guys live together, both of you will bring in your cats, taking care of them as if they are your children. sometimes putting on clothes for them 🥺 maybe next time you guys will create an instagram account for your cats <3

miya atsumu

mhm, atsumu treats cats like little kids. when he spots cats, he picks them up and gives them treats (he carries them around sometimes in his backpack)

and when he forgets to carry them, he feels bad!! until he met you, who carry them almost all the time in your bag. he fell for you when he saw u feeding the school’s cat, neglecting your lunch break 

he refuses to talk to cats in baby voice in front of you when you guys first started dating. he needs to put a manly act, he said 🙄🙄

when you caught him sneaking behind the gym with the school’s cat one day, you finally heard how he talks to cats!

“KISS ME!!!” atsumu growled at the cat while cuddling it in his arms. “i said kiss me!!” can u imagine him doing this hshdhshs

you burst out laughing, almost making him dropping the cat off 

sometimes gets very pouty around cats if they don’t react to him calling, andd!! he’s also the one to bring his cat to sleep with him every night. can’t fall asleep w/o his cats!

Fly High! || Kageyama x Fem!Reader || Part 7

Summary: The first day of training camp has come to an end and the night is still young. After thinking about the boys’ current status at the camp, you spend some times with the rest of the managers. The topic of boys come up and you can’t help but spill your secret to them. As the night goes on, you end up at the gym and try to get in some personal training in when Kageyama shows up. You finally get to have a moment with the one person who has recently been taking up all of your thoughts.

You bit your lip as you walked out of the girl’s bathroom with a towel wrapped around your neck. Your wet hair cascaded down as you mindlessly began to dry it. Your mind was elsewhere as flashbacks of the boys during their last match took up your attention. You were mentally going through your observations of the rest of their practice matches and compared it to how they were then to their current status. You knew that their loss against Seijoh was heavy on their minds and seeing how the other teams were really strong, it would obviously take a toll on your boys. Of course, that meant using this camp to their advantage to better themselves. You just winced every time that they had to do diving drills as punishment, which was basically the whole day for them. You wished there was something more that you could do and the boys always reassured you that it’s just a part of the process. But with Kageyama and Hinata in the mix, it gives you some relief to know that they could get some wins under their belt. Hinata’s change in attitude was worrying you as you remembered noticing that his head wasn’t in it as much as usual. You had followed his gaze at some point during their Nekoma match to find that Lev had caught everyone’s attention. He was a new power to reckon with on the team of cats, but you hoped that it wouldn’t stump your friend as much as he let on. Sighing, You gripped your towel in worry, wondering to see if the change of pace would ruin the boys’ team dynamics. Thankfully, the first day had come to an end and everyone was winding down for the night. You pushed away your worries and mentally reminded yourself to wake up earlier than the call time to work on some new strategies for the team.

“Welcome back, (Y/N)-chan!” One of the managers from Shinzen High greeted you. 

“How was your shower?” Shimizu asked as you put back your things into your bag. 

“It was good, haha. What have you guys been up to while I was gone?” 

“We were talking about the boys!” Suzumeda Kaori, one of the managers from Fukurodani, grinned as she hugged her pillow. 

The other girls in the room giggled as you raised an eyebrow at them. “Oh? So we’re starting now, huh?” 

“I mean why not? It means we have more time to gossip about them as the camp continues.” The manager from Ubugawa added. 

“They aren’t wrong, (Y/N)-chan, so let’s enjoy, hm?” Shimizu smiled at you. 

“I guess…” you grinned and got comfy in your futon. 

“(Y/N)-chan, do you have a thing for Kuroo or Bokuto? We saw you playing with them earlier!” one of the girls asked. 

You laughed so hard you had to clutch your sides. You frantically waved your hands and shook your head as they looked at you with questioning looks. “Nah, they’re like my brothers! Just like Nishinoya, I grew up with them.” 

“Eh? So that means they’re free to flirt with!” one of the girls cheered.

You shrugged and said, “Tetsuro can be a tease with girls but Koutaro is very oblivious, it’s like the only thing that goes on in his mind is volleyball.” 

“What about you, Kiyoko-chan? (Y.N)-chan? It could be from another school or even your own, but has anyone caught your eye?” Shirofuku Yukie, the other manager of Fukurodani, asked with a cheeky glint in her eyes. 

Shimizu shrugged and readjusted her glasses. “Not really, not at the moment anyways. They all share one brain cell so none has appealed to me in that way.” 

“Eh~ you’re just trying to act cool like always Kiyoko-chan!” 

The girls giggled and the attention was turned back towards you. You awkwardly glanced down at your hands and pursed your lips in contemplation to share what’s been on your mind. 

“Oh? I think she does like someone!” 

Shimizu grinned to herself as she had noticed you interacting more with a certain setter during practices. You sighed before looking down at your pillow and muttered his name underneath your breath. 

“What was that? We can’t hear you~” Kaori teased. 

“...K-Kageyama-kun…” you muttered just loud enough for them to hear. 

The girls shrieked as you hid your face behind your pillow and Shimizu comfortingly patted her shoulders. You felt your entire face warm up and groaned when you heard all of the comments from the girls. 

“That’s so cute!” 

“Aw and they’re both first years.”

“Wouldn’t that be hard though?” 

You shrugged and smiled to yourself, setting your pillow on your lap. “I know it’s still pretty early...but I’m okay with just being friends with him because I know how much volleyball means to him. I can just continue rooting for him as a manager and fan.” 

“That’s so romantic!” the girls said together and you laughed. 

The night continued on as the girls continued to talk about the boys and tips were shared on how to keep all their rowdiness at bay. Soon enough and one by one, the girls began to fall asleep. You sighed as you got up to turn off the lights after stuffing your phone in your pocket. You were the last one awake and still didn’t feel like going to sleep. Even after a long day like today, if your mind wouldn’t let you sleep, there was no way to relax. 

Slipping on a pullover hoodie, you quietly made your way out of the classroom and figured you might as well continue to work on your knee. You leisurely headed towards one of the gyms and turned on its light. ‘Thank goodness no one is awake…’ Grinning to the thought of finally having the entire gym to yourself, you went into its supply room and grabbed a jump rope and resistance band. Getting back onto the floor, you set the resistance band on the ground as well as the water bottle you brought with you. With a tap on your phone, you let music play and began to do some reps with the jump rope to warm up in the middle of the court.

“Um…” you heard someone say behind you. 

You stopped jumping and turned around in surprise to find Kageyama looking back at you. He was wearing grey sweats and a black hoodie with his hood on. You smiled as he looked at her set up and you shrugged. 

“I couldn’t sleep.” 

“Me neither.” He replied and slid his hood off, stepping into the gym. 

“Are you going to practice your serves?” 

He nodded silently and quickly made his way towards the basket that held the volleyballs. A comfortable silence fell upon you two as you each got into your zones. You had moved on to using the resistance band for some squats and stretching. Kageyama couldn’t help but keep an eye on you as he served, making sure that the balls never hit your corner. Once he had settled in with the basket, you had walked off and settled in the corner closest to the door so he would have to space. While doing his own practice, Kageyama couldn’t get over the fact that he missed seeing you in action today all because he failed his exam the first time. With a sigh he focused on the ball that was in his hands and began to serve as usual. He watched as it went towards the other side of the court, but was surprised to see you receiving the ball. 

“Shouldn’t you be stretching out your leg?” he asked in surprise. 

You shrugged and said, “I’m basically in the final phases. Ever since I became manager, I’ve been taking my treatment a lot more seriously. My therapist and doctor gave me the okay to slowly get back on to the court, just not as intense as I was before.” 

Kageyama nodded and you met his gaze before smiling at him. He watched as you walked towards the serving line and he unconsciously began to analyze your movements and positioned himself ready to receive the ball. But before he could fully register your serve, the ball had already flown right past him. You cheekily laughed at his reaction when he looked at you then at the ball in surprise. 

‘What speed and control…’  He thought to himself as he blinked back at you.

“Surprised?” you asked. 

Kageyama cleared his throat while he picked up the ball. Taking a deep breath, the setter readied for his turn as his gaze changed. He picked up on the challenging tone you gave him and if anyone knew him, they knew that he enjoyed being put up to a challenge. You smirked while silently watching his whole demeanor changed before your eyes. This was one of the sides of Kageyama you enjoyed because this was when he shone the brightest in your eyes.

“First to three?” he asked. 

Your eyes glinted in confidence as you stretched out your arms. You smirked and quickly braided your hair so it could stay out of the way while shaking out your legs. Finally with a determined smirk, you nodded. “You’re on, Kageyama-kun.” 

You gave it your all against each other as each served then hit the ball to try and beat their opponent. You managed to gain the first point as Kageyama missed to hit the ball he dove for. He tried to not let it affect him and playfully rolled his eyes. You gave him the peace sign and he shook his head in amusement. 

“I hope you’re not going easy on me.” You snickered.

He clicked his tongue and in the midst of your gloating, served the ball and aced it. Your jaw dropped and he smirked. “As if, shorty.” 

“Shorty?! And you cheated!” you huffed before jogging to grab the ball. 

“Remember to always stay alert on the court.” 

You rolled your eyes and shook your head with an amused smile on your face, “You will certainly be the death of me, Kageyama Tobio.” 

He simply shrugged and readied himself as he watched you close your eyes and walked up to the serving line. He doesn’t remember the last time he felt so relaxed yet challenged at the same time. It’s been so long since he was able to play against someone that lived and breathed the game just as much as he did. Of course there was Hinata, but the kid still had so much to learn. With the girl in front of him who smiled with calculated eyes as he ran and tried to spike the ball to score, Kageyama couldn’t help but crack the smallest smile as she ran towards it. The ball had bounced back over to his side and as he ran to hit it, he couldn’t believe he was actually having fun for once. 

You continued to play and eventually, Kageyama arose as the victor. Before he could stop himself, he pumped his fist with a bright smile on his face. A small ‘yes’ escaped his lips and you smiled to yourself as you watched him enjoy his little moment. Walking off to the side, you grabbed your water bottle and yawned. Kageyama approached you with a warm expression on his face after putting away the ball and said, “Good game, (L/N)-san.” 

You huffed as you checked the time on the wall and said, “It’s only because my knee started to act up that I couldn’t get the last one.” 

“Well we were tied for a while.” he muttered and looked down to see if her knee had swollen up. He lifted up the edge of his shirt to wipe away the sweat on his forehead and when you noticed, you immediately looked away and hoped he didn’t notice the light tinge of pink on your cheeks.

You passed your water bottle to him without saying anything and he wordlessly grabbed some water for himself while you busied yourself with your belongings. After straightening up from gathering the workout equipment, your eyes widened as you watched Kageyama drink some more water. 

‘Does he know that we just had an indi-y’know what, let’s not get ahead of ourselves, shall we?’ Shaking your head rapidly, you put on your hood and quickly muttered that you were going to put away the stuff you brought out.

Kageyama gave you a confused look before picking up your phone for you and decided to wait for you by the entrance. You had returned with your hands in the pocket of your hoodie and you gave him a grateful smile for holding your things. 

“Thanks Kageyama-kun.” you muttered and grabbed it from him before you guys walked towards the building where the girls were sleeping in. 

“I didn’t know you could play like that.” he said after walking for a bit. 

You looked up at the sky as the moon shone brightly and he matched your pace. It felt so refreshing to be able to almost play as how you did before. Your game with Kageyama surprised you since you didn’t even remember when was the last time you had a one on one with someone. Shrugging, you smiled and said, “I didn’t know I could either until my body moved on its own.” 

“...I’m glad we got to play together.” 

“You are a formidable opponent, Kageyama-kun. I hope to someday play against you and Shoyo-kun and receive that quick myself at my best potential.” 

He had the smallest smirk on his face as he imagined that scenario. A two versus two match with the annoying tangerine against you and whoever you pick at your best? Now that was something he could look forward to. Kageyama wanted to see you in action because you were better than most players he’s come across. You also had the same look he has on the court while he reads the players and tries to figure out what’s next. During the small game, he felt like you were both playing a game of chess to see who could outsmart the other. It was also probably why he found himself becoming more comfortable around you. You were both very similar on the court when it came to decision making. You chuckled as you looked up to find Kageyama lost in his own thoughts. A new spark could be seen in his eyes as you slowly approached the entrance of your building.

Kageyama stuffed his hands in his pockets and watched as you made your way up the stairs and you turned around to smile at him. Tucking a few strands of your hair behind your ear, you bit your lip before bowing. 

“Thanks for tonight, Kageyama-kun. It was fun getting to play with you.” 

“...Tobio.” 

You tilted your head to the side as Kageyama looked to the side, his hand rubbing his neck as he blushed. 

“...Call me Tobio.” he said a little louder. 

You couldn’t hide the wide smile that had managed to break out behind your hands as you tried to hide your burning cheeks. Kageyama met your warm gaze and relaxed as he looked into your eyes. He sighed and gave you a small smirk. 

“I don’t want to lose that small tangerine.” 

You giggled and nodded as you gripped the bottom of her hoodie. Rocking on your heels, you smiled at him once more.

“Alright then...goodnight Tobio. Sleep well.” 

He waited for you to open the door before saying, “...Goodnight (Y/N).”

You know those headcanons you just posted about the reader playing with Kuroo’s, Lev’s and Akaashi’s hair? I ,,, need one for Suga, Kenma (and Kiyoko if you write for her?),,,,,, pls ....

I NEEDED to get to this right away because I kid you not that as I wrote the other headcanons Kenma kept getting in my mind!! Also of course I write for Kiyoko, she is such a good character and my bi heart loves her too. I hope this are good and thank you so much for requesting!! And I have such a soft spot for Suga, underapreciated angel. Also I am willing to bet that these 3 (and Oikawa) are the characters with the BEST hair.

Kenma

At first he was hesitant about the idea of you playing with his hair, he was not sure if it would end up with his hair being tangled, he is quiet picky with who he lets touch his hair (and him in general) and generally hates it when people do it.

However one day the two of you were on your usual stay-in days, he was playing videogames and you asked if you could play with his hair. Just one glance at your puppy eyes and he agreed.

Its now routine that you do his hair everyday, he loves how it feels, he loves how it looks. He never asks for you to do it, you just KNOW he wants you to do his hair. 

In the mornings he just sits in the bed generally playing playstation as you do his hair, its such a nice routine and he usually never mentions it but him wearing it all day long, everyday, is so special to you both. 

He only undoes his look when he is playing videogames because he wants you to play with his hair while he does. He loves the feeling even more than the actual result, and it is such an intimate gesture for him, it makes him feel loved. 

The first time Kuroo saw him he had this shit-eating grin which annoyed Kenma, none of the boys said a word but it was clear it was your doing and even clearer that he was proud due to his small smile after his initial annoyance expression.  

Lev made such a big deal out of it, asking questions and being all over him. Kenma did answer it was your deed because he is actually proud of it and Lev was being annoying. When Lev asked if you could do his too Kenma just answered “It wouldn’t suit you”, before he started to annoy him again. Lev was pretty offended but did shut up after saying that it totally would

Whenever you know he has a match you do a ponytail with what you call you “lucky hairband”, he is not superstitious but playing is easier and he feels you closer so he likes the gesture

He actually takes pretty good care of his hair, he is a combination between thin hair strands and just soft soft hair, so the moment your hands are on it you feel almost as if you are touching a kitten it is the softest hair ever. He uses conditioner so it makes it so easy to work with and it’s the reason why it’s so soft. 

He actually does not like braids that much, he feels like they weigh him too much, however ponytails and clips are a must, and half-ups are his favorites. He will wear anything you do tho. 

When the two of you watch movies he is the one playing with your hair if you like that, if not he respects it. He is pretty good at styling it too, nothing too fancy but more than most. He also likes brushing it after you take a shower if possible, it feels nice to him.

Kiyoko

It actually all started because the two of you were about to go on a date and decided to get ready together so it was your perfect opportunity. You asked her if you could help with his hair and she blushed in such an adorable way while nodding.

When you were done you almost cried??? She looked so good?? You kept complimenting her and making her blush even more. She smiled as soon as she saw the final product it was so wholesome

She always lightly hums when you play with hair hair, it barely inaudible but it is beautiful. 

She does like how it feels however what she likes the most is the final product and the dedication that goes into it, specially when you smile after you are done. She always kindly asks you to help her with her hair and always thanks you after you are done. 

She kisses you every-time after you finish, she blushed so hard but loved you so much for what you do for her.

The team goes crazy when she walks in with your beautiful hairdos. Noya and Tanaka have the strongest reactions; a braid?? They are crying. A half up?? They are cheering. Top knot bun?? They are going apeshit. The other boys just love it so much, they all definitely thank you for doing the lords work whenever they see you.

She is so good to work on with, she is patient and will remain quiet the whole time, she likes when you talk to her and tell her stories while you do her hair it is quality time that feels so personal to her. 

 When the two of you are sleeping together if you play with hes hair she will hum a little louder than usual, that way the two of you drift asleep fairly quickly.

She is fairly gentle but actually does not know how to do much more than a ponytail so if she plays with your hair it’s usually her hands running through it gently, it actually feels incredible and absolutely nice.

Sugawara

This baby is the one that approached you asking for you to lay with his hair. He loves when people run his hands through his silver hair and as soon as he feels is the right time he will be holding your hand and drive it up to his hair. 

He was absolutely wowed when it turned out you loved playing with his hair, he was starry-eyed when you proposed to do his hair and play with it in more intricate ways.

He kinds just sits in front of you and waits for you to start with his hair; whenever your hands work on him he closes his eyes in pleasure and has the biggest smile. 

He loves talking to you and makes cheeky comments when the two of you are in a more playful mood. However if the two of you are chilling he likes sitting in between your legs and just run his hands tenderly up and down your legs. 

He tends to fall asleep quiet often while you play with his hair, he is just a sucker for it and it feels too good that he can feel himself relax and before either of you notice he will be drooling all over you and snoring adorably

He does not have hair that long but the hair at his forehead and on the front of his hair is perfect for pinning and small braids.

His hair is thick but surprisingly soft, it is really nice to the touch and it actually shines in such a pretty way. It is perfect for holding different styles they stay on perfectly through the whole day. If you work with gel you can get him to look absolutely handsome.

He always compliments what you do, when he looks at what you have done in the mirror he flashes you a smile and kisses your cheek

He loves showing what you do to the other third years and it makes them all so jealous. He tells all of them it was your deed 

After any match, regardless if he has played much or not, he just lays in your lap and asks you to play with his hair. It makes him feel much better. 

When he is feeling a bit down he also needs you to play with his hair, and if possible tell him how much you love him. When he is having such intimate moments with you he feels like he has done something right and it really shows what he means for you and right there he feels like nothing could go wrong

He knows nothing about styling your hair but whenever you two are cuddling if you let him he will brush your hair with his hands while almost singing, he specially loves this if you are lying on top of him with your hair on his chest, he is so gentle.

He just loves you very much and for him touch means affection, so he loves the connection that you chose to share with him

HI, I KNOW THIS IS RANDOM BUT I NEED TO TALK ABOUT MY RAREPAIR - HERE'S SOME RANDOM HEADCANONS FOR THEM!!

SPOILERS FOR THE HAIKYUU MANGA, INCLUDING CHAPTER 393!!

• Back when Kenma was still a second year on the Nekoma team, Akane had a crush on him, but no one figured it out because she never really spoke about him (and everyone assumed she liked Lev instead).

• Kenma didn't really pay much attention to Akane back then. He was more focused on observing the opposing team and strategising to hear her very loud cheering.

• Akane never acted on her feelings because she figured it would be weird for her to ask Kenma to date her considering their age gap.

• Kenma would sometimes play games with Yamamoto and Akane would try to join sometimes. Kenma began to view her as a little sister rip Akane.

• Akane asks Kenma one day how he manages to make money despite being a high school student. He mentions that he makes a bit of money by making videos for YouTube, which prompts her to make a channel. At first it's just her posting goofy videos of her brother, but eventually she turns it into a fashion and beauty channel...which also includes goofy videos of her and Tora.

• Fast forward to the time skip.

• Kenma is now a very successful YouTuber. Akane also has a small following, but not nearly as much as Kenma.

• Akane sometimes brings people into her videos (mostly just Alisa or Toes though).

• Tora mentions his sister's channel to Kenma one day, so Kenma decides to do a collaboration with her because he figures it would be funny to see her trying to play games.

• She's really bad at first, which Kenma finds hilarious and adorable. He invites her to the channel often and makes a mini series of the two of them playing games. Akane eventually gets fairly good at some of the games, much to Kenma's surprise, so he sometimes includes her on live streams.

• One time Kenma fell asleep during a stream, and Akane admits that she used to have a crush on Kenma when she was younger.

• The next day, Kenma wakes up to a lot of buzz, asking if he and Akane were dating. He also got sent the clip of Akane's confession by many people, which catches him off guard and makes his heart flutter a little.

• The next time they streamed, Kenma kept getting distracted because he was staring at Akane. Suddenly he couldn't help but notice how pretty she was, but he still didn't really understand his feelings.

• Akane had wanted to do a video with Kenma on her channel, but they hadn't really gotten the chance with the two of them living such separate lives - Kenma being busy with his business and Akane being busy with college and interning at the publishing company). One day, though, Kenma came over for a surprise visit!

• Akane decided to film a "Boy Does My Makeup" video, assuming Kenma to be awful at it. What she doesn't anticipate is that he gets so focused that he goes really quiet. Akane tries to check in with him for the video, but he gives very brief answers.

• When he finished, he finally snaps back into reality and he is dumbfounded with how pretty Akane looks. She is also very impressed at his work, then she looks up to see Kenma turning bright red.

• Just as Akane is asking Kenma if he's okay, he suddenly covers the camera with a makeup pallet and kisses Akane out of the blue.

• The two of them kiss for a bit, then they sit there and quietly look away from one another.

• Akane: "...so does this mean we are like...dating now?"

• Yay, they're dating now...so now the video is called the "Boyfriend Does My Makeup Challenge".

• Kuroo teases Kenma a little when he finds out and Tora silently wishes to kill Kenma because he kissed his sister out of nowhere, but he soon gets over it and switches to supporting them both since he loves them both.

Okay, so I'm sure a whopping 0% of you actually reading this wonder why I decided to start shipping them? Well...

There was one chapter in the spinoff series, Haikyuu-bu, where the two of them talked quite a bit. She asked him about how he earns money and he introduces her to the idea of making videos. The two of them also bond a little as Kenma makes observations about Akane's plans (when he says "So, what do you want Tora to do?" even though she hadn't talked about her plan in detail yet) and they poke fun at Tora (such as when Akane suggests looping "I'm looking hard for a girlfriend" and Kenma said that's funny).

I also really like the casual dynamic the two of them have in this chapter. Akane fangirls over Yaku and Lev, but she's very calm when she talks to Kenma, and Kenma is the same when he talks to Akane. Neither of them get flustered, they just talk normally and have a similar sense of humour.

It's a ship I'd never thought of before, but seeing the two of them talk in Haikyuu-bu got my little fanfic writer brain whirling.

I hope this clears up any confusion. I'm probably the only person that ships this though, so this entire post is basically a self indulgence.

May I request hc for Semi, Iwa, Kuroo, Futakuchi & Akaashi asking their team to take care of their child who's 2-3 yrs old so the parents can go on a date or smth? You may choose the captain/2nd gen caps squad or their own team for the last 3. If it's too much, you can remove some of them. Thank you so much!!

I left Futakuchi out because I’m not too confident in writing him and it was getting kidna long since I went overboard :^)

Semi

Doesn’t even know if his team knows how to take care of children, but he trusts Reon to keep things in order while he’s on a much-needed date with his lovely partner.

You have to keep him calm and always reassures him that his team will do a great job taking care of your child. You are also very nervous but what could go wrong right?

The child tends to stay by Goshiki because he looks innocent and is very innocent himself so your kid is the most comfortable with him.

Goshiki doesn’t know how to care of children so when your kid runs over to Goshiki, Shirabu usually takes the child away to tend for them himself because bowl cut boy over there doesn’t even know how to care for himself.

Your kid is a little intimidated by Ushijima because he’s tall and kinda scary so they usually avoid him. It makes Ushijima a little sad.

Tendou accidentally scares your child and they cry for a good ten minutes.

Your kid enjoys “talking” with Kawanishi because he makes them laugh and the team is sort of jealous that he can make this kid laugh.

They compare your kid to Semi and the do notices similarities with the apperence.

Eventually, the child will warm up to Ushijima and Tendou and when Tendou bends down to let them play with his hair, it makes the child extremely happy.

Ushijima will be walking around and he’ll notice that the kid is following him. It’s a little weird but he doesn’t mind.

When Semi and you come back to take your child back, you’ll find them sleeping on top of Ushijima and it’s the cutest thing ever.

Iwaizumi

Really didn’t want to leave his child with his team because he doesn’t trust his team with his kid. You had to really nudge him to let your kid stay with the team.

When he hands the child off, Oikawa reaches out for them but he swerves and hands the kid to Matsun. “I trust you and Makki to watch over my baby.”

Tells them he doesn’t trust Oikawa with his kid and it breaks his heart.

When you and Iwaizumi leave, they set the kid down and watches as the walk immediately to Mad Dog and it surprises everyone how your child isn’t scared of him.

Mad Dog rolls his eyes and walks away somewhere else. The child is a bit disappointed but they walk over to Oikawa and he picks them up feeling so loved.

“If Iwaizumi knew you were holding his child he’d leave his date just to take the child back.”

Makki and Watari are good with kids; Oikawa is also because he takes care of his nephew a lot, but the team is still wary about him handling children.

Kindaichi thinks kids are adorable, but he is too nervous to actually go and talk to the child because he doesn’t want to be hated by the child.

Yahaba, Kunumi and Mad Dog are sitting away from the child and they don’t really want anything to do with the child. Are secretly watching the kid just in case anything bad happens because they really care.

Oikawa tries to teach the kid volleyball already and when the child says “Uncle Kageyama” Oikawa get’s triggered.

When you and Iwaizumi return, he is pleasantly surprised at how well his team watched over his kid. Still wouldn’t want them to watch over his kid again.

Kuroo

Suggested Kenma to watch the kid but he refused and Lev overheard and offered, but Kuroo said no. Proceeds to make the whole team look over his child while he goes on a date night with you.

Yaku is very annoyed but is super good at taking care of children. Gives them snacks, gives them a sweater if it’s too cold, keeps them content.

Lev tells the child a lot of stories that also keeps the kid occupied. Gives them piggyback rides because he’s tall and the kid gets to look around. Teaches them volleyball too.

Yamamoto is also good at taking care of children because he has a little sister. His kid loves it when Yamamoto “scares” them because it makes them laugh and they’ll keep running back.

Inuoka is good at talking with kids si he will be sitting beside the child having a “conversation” back and forth and it keeps them both pretty happy.

Kenma keeps looking at the child because they resemble Kuroo a lot and it kinda scares him. It’s like a little Kuroo walking around. 

The child notices Kenma and stays with him a lot because Kuroo brings them over to Kenma’s sometimes so the recognize him. Kenma is suffering.

Kenma will notice that the child is invested in the video game as well and he’ll play beside the child and let them watch.

When Yaki can’t find the kid he’ll freak out and yell around asking where the kid went when the kid fell asleep under the table with snacks laid around them.

Kuroo comes back and when he sees the child sleeping under the table with a small blanket on them with snacks all around them he’ll question why he let his child stay here in the first place.

But when his child says they had fun he’ll think about letting the team watch his kid again.

Akaashi

This was his last resort. He really didn’t want the team to watch his kid. The team as in Bokuto, he doesn’t really want Bokuto to watch his kid and he has multiple reasons.

Doesn’t want his kid to develop Bokuto’s dejected mode because dealing with Bokuto is enough. Bokuto is too energetic and he has his child on napping hours.

You had to tell him to let go of being so tense all the time and let Bokuto and the team take a shot at watching the child and because it’s you he finally agrees.

Bokuto is super excited because he loves children and Akaashi’s child is super cute and it looks like you and Akaashi which makes him happy.

When the child walks away from Bokuto to Konoha, he’ll feel very betrayed and will try to get the child back because he wants to watch over them.

If they walk away to Sarukui, Bokuto will fall into his dejected mode and the team will have to try their best to get Bokuto out of it without Akaashi’s help.

So, in the end, they kind of babysit Bokuto instead of the child because they’re smart like Akaashi and they do things independently. 

Eventually, the child will go back to Bokuto and he will become cheery again. 

Akaashi calls Konoha to check in and he isn’t surprised when he tells Akaashi Bokuto went into dejected mode because the child walked away from him twice.

When Akaashi returns to get his child, the kid will run over to Bokuto and hug his legs before they run over to you. 

Bokuto has never felt so loved before.

Couples spring up all around Phichit. Yuuri and Viktor. Chris and his choreographer. Otabek and Yuri. And most recently, Leo and Guang Hong. He's happy for everyone, of course, but Phichit can't help but feel left out.

Always, always the third wheel. Always, always the matchmaker. Never, ever the matched. He's like Emma from that Jane Austen novel. So when will his Mr. Knightley, his friend-turned-lover, appear? Why are all of his friends already matched up?

Phichit has never touched a dating site, but now he's getting desperate. Maybe a few dates will cheer him up. He takes his time filling out his profile, writing out an extensive list of hobbies and favorites, and posts one of his favorite selfies from Barcelona.

Then he turns off his computer, turns off his phone, and goes to the rink. As he skates, he tries not to think about what he's just done. Tries not to worry about an inbox full of creeps. Or worse, an empty inbox.

...

Hours later, he returns home and cooks himself a full meal. Time passes. He watches TV. He showers. He feeds his hamsters. Finally, when it's close to midnight, he pulls out his computer and checks the dating site.

Ten new messages. Not bad.

Eight are nudes. Delete.

The last two catch his attention. Their profile pictures are fuzzy, but their messages seem to be only words. That's promising.

He clicks on the first message. The name line reads Levittome, 19.

Phichit smiles and tries not to squeal. Honesty. It's something he values too. This “Levittome” person might be interesting. He clicks on the profile to compare favorites. Levittome wasn't kidding. They have so much in common that Phichit half-wonders if he copied his profile. Thankfully the site shows the date the page was last updated. Weeks ago. It's legit. Hurriedly he types up his reply.

Hi, Levittome! I'm guessing that's not your name. Lol. My name is actually Phichit, but Phichu is a nickname some friends call me. Wow, we really do have a lot in common! I know exactly what you mean about someone real. That's what I'm looking for too. I hate to ask this, but are you a boy or a girl (or something else)? I can't tell from your profile pic. “Auuugh, I'm such an idiot!” Phichut buries his head in his pillow, then peeks up at the screen. The cursor blinks at him. No reply comes. After a few minutes, he sighs and opens up the next message. This one is from Bearycute, 18.

hey hey! today i got gelato from the supermarket. when i ate it, i got brainfreeze uwwaa. but it was super tasty. do you like gelato? i'm asking bc on your profile you said you've been to italy. what's it like? are there really statues everywhere? i've been begging my bf to take me there, but we haven't had a chance yet. it would be nice to have a tour guide lol. anyways, i hope you'll reply to me. i'd love to chat with you. goodbye~ -bearycute

Phichit blinks at the message, a bit stunned. He likes that Bearycute just jumped into the conversation part, and he wants to reply that he really loves gelato, but he's a bit confused by the i've been begging my bf to take me there line. Bf usually means boyfriend, right? Or could it mean best friend? Phichit feels stupid as he types his reply, but he sends it anyway.

Hi, Bearycute! I absolutely love gelato. Mango is my favorite flavor. What about yours? Italy is a very interesting and fun place. In Rome, there are statues all over. It's like an outdoor museum! When you say 'bf,' do you mean boyfriend or best friend? I'm a little confused about whether you are interested in dating me or just being friends. Sorry if that's a strange thing to ask. He goes back to his inbox and is surprised to see a reply from Levittome.

Phichit puts a hand to his chest. His heartbeat is thundering. He's only talked to this Levittome guy for half an hour and already his body is responding. Thankfully a new message from Bearycute saves him from having to answer right away.

The reply comes minutes later.

Phichit doesn't know what to say. This is getting weird. He opens up Google and spends the next hour researching polyamory. It's an interesting concept, sure, but he'd definitely get jealous since Bearycute is already close to his bf. That would give him a huge advantage, and Phichit would just end up feeling like a third wheel again. No, he can't do this. He needs to stop talking to Bearycute and just focus on Levittome.

Halfway through typing his reply, Phichit notices another message in his inbox. It's from Bearycute. Hesitantly, he clicks on it.

Now Phichit feels bad for ignoring him. It isn't like Bearycute said anything mean. He should just calmly tell him that he's not interested in a “triad,” as he calls it, and move on. But maybe he won't tell him right away... That would be too abrupt and rude, right?

No, no. Don't feel bad! It's my fault for taking so long to reply. I got distracted talking to a friend. You didn't make me uncomfortable. We can keep talking. Cheer up, okay? You seem like a fun person, and I'd love to hear more about you. -phichu

Phichit bangs his head on the keyboard. What is he doing? He's not interested, so why does he care so much about how Bearycute feels? He's probably used to getting ignored. Phichit feels bad for him, honestly. This boy is earnestly trying to find a boyfriend, and even taking the care to make sure his current boyfriend likes the new one. He's not being selfish or pushy. It's kind of endearing actually.

The hours pass. Phichit exchanges messages with both Lev and Beary until he's too tired to type. He falls asleep with his laptop still on his lap. In his dreams, Lev is a handsome Russian model visiting Bangkok for a photoshoot and Beary is a cosplayer dressed as a bear and his boyfriend is dressed as a rabbit.

When Phichit wakes up, he's confused about whether he dreamed up the conversations from last night or not. He opens his computer and sees the messages still there. Relief washes over him. They're real. And he's got two new messages.

The one from Beary is from the previous night.

i'm guessing that you fell asleep lol. hope you have sweet dreams! i've really enjoyed talking to you. let's talk again tomorrow! i wake up late so i'll message you when i'm up. -bearycute

Phichit does not land his quad Salchow. He falls on his ass more times than he can count, but he still stays cheerful. Celestino keeps trying to comfort him, but Phichit assures him he's okay. Honestly, he's just anxious for practice to be over so he can message Lev again.

When Phichit finally gets to his computer, a message from Beary awaits him.

good morn—or afternoon now i guess. i just woke up lol. did you have a good day so far? or are you sleeping in like me? reply when you can! -bearycute

Hey, Beary! I've been having a good day. Sorry about falling asleep on you last night! I'm a total morning person. It drove my old roommate nuts. On days off, he'd sleep through most the day so I had to try to be quiet, but I'm not a very quiet person so it was difficult. I woke him up several times accidentally.  -phichu

my bf is the same way lol. he's a morning person, so when he stays over, he ends up waking me up in the morning. i get really groggy and tell him to become a mute. oh and i make him wear slippers in the morning cz his footsteps are loud. -bearycute

Phichit becomes addicted to his computer for the next week. Anytime he can get on, he messages Lev or Beary. He's not even sure who he enjoys talking to more. They're both interesting in different ways. He no longer feels the sting of jealousy when Beary mentions his boyfriend. His brain has gotten used to the idea that he has one, and he feels as if he knows him too, just from what Beary's said about him. He's almost okay with it...or so he thinks...

me and my bf want to meet you! well, not meet-meet, but video chat with you. would you be okay with that? it would be like a skype date, just the three of us. -bearycute

The invitation surprises Phichit. Beary's never even sent him a picture, and now he wants to video chat? With his boyfriend too. Phichit's stomach churns. He's not sure how to feel about this. Curiosity makes him want to say yes, but he's so worried he'll freak out once he sees them being intimate. Better not to accept, right? But Phichit doesn't want to seem rude...

The reply doesn't come until an hour later.

The absence of exclamation points worries Phichit. Beary is clearly disappointed. Phichit almost changes his mind, but a message from Lev pops up.

I apologize for being the most tactless boy in the world, but I really want to meet you. It's killing me knowing you're so close and not being able to see you. Would you like to go on a date this weekend? -levittome

Phichit doesn't even need to think about it.

A few days later Phichit is freaking out about what to wear on this date. They're going to meet at a seafood restaurant near the movie theater. Lev didn't say anything about a movie, but Phichit is hoping they can watch one after they eat. It's been forever since he's seen anything in the theaters.

He decides on a dark-green collared shirt and black trousers. Somewhere between casual and fancy. He can always roll up the sleeves if it's too fancy.

When he reaches the restaurant, he walks up to the host stand, feeling more nervous than he's ever felt before a skating competition.

“Table for one?” the host asks.

“I'm meeting someone,” Phichit says. “It should be under the name Lev.”

The host smiles and nods. “Right this way, sir.”

He leads him through the restaurant all the way to the private room at the back. The host gestures to the door and leaves Phichit to stand there awkwardly. He's surprised that Lev is going all-out on their first date. All of this. Just for him. He takes a deep breath and opens the door.

Colorful streamers decorate the room and cutouts of animated hamsters are taped to the walls. Phichit walks inside and sees a long table decorated with rose petals. He reaches for the chair nearest him when suddenly a pair of hands cover his eyes.

“Guess who,” a seductive voice whispers in his ear.

Phichit chuckles. It's just the silly thing he would do. “Lev?”

Lev spins him around and kisses him on the lips. Phichit's too close to get a good look at him, but he can see thick, long lashes, tan skin, and thick eyebrows. Handsome from what he can tell. He puts his arms around Lev and kisses him back. Then he feels a kiss on the back of his neck.

Phichit jumps a mile in the air and pulls away from the two. Leo and Guang Hong. What the hell is going on? he wants to scream.

“Sorry, we didn't mean to ambush you.” Guang Hong looks sincerely upset. “We just wanted to surprise you. I'm so sorry. I planned all this.” He gestures to the decorations and the rose petal-strewn table.

Leo rubs his thumb across Guang Hong's cheek. “Don't take all the blame, babe. This whole scheme was my idea in the first place.”

“Can one of you please explain what's going on?” Phichit says, trying to keep his voice steady.

“I'm Lev,” Leo says. “From the dating site.”

“And I'm Beary,” Guang Hong says.

Then it clicks. The boyfriend Beary was referring to was Leo. But this is too much for Phichit to comprehend. Was everything a joke? Or...?

“Why would you two flirt with me on a dating site? Were you making fun of me?” Phichit demands. He can't even hide the hurt in his voice.

“No, of course not.” Leo takes a step towards him, then stops when Phichit flinches. He rubs the back of his head, his cheeks going red. “We saw your post on Twitter about wanting to try online dating. Before that, we always thought you weren't interested in dating anyone. I mean, we flirted with you all the time, but you never responded.”

“We honestly like you,” Guang Hong says. “And we never lied about anything. Please don't get angry at us.”

“I...you...the reason I never said anything about dating is because you guys were dating. You never told me you were poly or whatever, so I didn't want to interfere. But I...” Phichit pauses as his thoughts trace over the last few years. “I've liked you, Leo, since I first met you at Four Continents. And then when Guang Hong came along, I liked you too. But you guys hit it off right away when I introduced you, so...”

Leo and Guang Hong exchange knowing smiles.

“So,” Leo says, “what you're saying is that you like both of us and you wouldn't mind forming a triad with us?”

“I...” Phichit thinks back to his earlier worries. His main reason for rejecting the triad was because he was worried Beary would give more attention to his boyfriend since he knew him better. But with Leo and Guang Hong, he knows them both equally as well. He likes both of them, as friends and romantically. And they like him. So what's the problem? “Yes.”

“Huh?” Guang Hong tilts his head.

Phichit beams and bounds over to them. “Yes, I want to be with you guys.” He kisses Guang Hong this time, and Leo wraps his arms around him from behind, then kisses the top of his ear.

“Wait, wait!” Guang Hong says, his voice chipper. He rushes into the corner and comes back with three hats. He places one on each of their heads. Hamster hats.

Phichit's heart practically melts. “You guys know me so well.” Happiness bubbles through him, and all he can do is embrace his two new boyfriends. Finally, his friend-turned-lover match. Only it's two friends instead of one. (Somehow he one-upped Emma. Take that, Jane Austen.)

Afterwards, Guang Hong turns on a stereo and they dance in a circle, hands linked. Laughing and smiling and taking pictures of each other. Once they're worn out from that, they sit down to eat and take turns feeding each other. Then to make the evening even more perfect, they head to the movies and sit in the dark theater. Phichit sits between the two, and by the end of the movie, the boys are resting their heads on his shoulders and he's holding their hands tightly. Phichit kisses Leo's head, then kisses Guang Hong's.

Guang Hong stirs and smiles at Phichit sleepily. “What's on your mind?”

Phichit squeezes Guang Hong's hand. “We should have gotten together a long time ago.” ...
