If muse and writersblock could talk
A little conversation between love and hate, or muse and writersblock, to be specific.........
Uff .......... Just what I need. I am busy, doing an excellent job as muse, again...........then he appears. Out of the blue. Douchebag. Not needed at all!
He's always hovering around, sticking his nose into things, that are not of his concern..........his name is Writersblock......
In my opinon, he already lost a lot of his marbles. Cannot even decide to have a permanent form. Like I said, douchebag. Today he is dressed up like 'Joe Black', last week he was a reaper and the week before he was dressed up like Pennywise. Do I have to say more?....... I straighten my straw hat with the pink feathers, which are corresponding so wonderfully with my purple hair and the Mary Poppins dress. And I am trying to start a conversation. "Hey!" - no reaction - well, why talk to a muse? What the............he is approaching my author now.. whispering things in her ear ......... "SUSEN !!! Don't you listen to him!!!"
Heroically I throw myself between them ..........
I always forget, she cannot really 'hear' or 'see' me. Me, Malfalda. I like to describe myself as a muse, I am not a simple 'Plotbunny'. Just to put that right.
My job is to take care of my author, to speak nice to her, encourage her and most of all, give her new ideas. We muses do care for only one person, while Writersblock usually has several victims to send them into the mental nirvana. Why, you wanna know, they got that much victims? Because our authors are humans. Imagine them as delicate creatures, who can be talked into complexes in an instant ........ and Writersblock moves on to the next author. To happily destroy him. Good ideas, on the other hand, do need time and muse .... so me.
"You serious?" He asks me suddenly and I almost lose my hat. "Beg your pardon?" "This chapter .......... calendergirl should look for a new muse, your time has expired." He runs his thumbs over his throat and grins at me, when Susen softly sighs and like being in a trance, erases a complete chapter. She gets up and goes into the kitchen to get herself some water, then she moves back to her favorite place at the right end of the couch. She is staring at the blank page on the screen, mumbling something like 'I'll give it up soon' ........ 'Joe Black' is now sitting in the club chair, opposite the couch. He crosses his legs and starts to clean his fingernails with a knife.
"I should dig out your bones and burn them!" I angrily scream into his face. "Pffff ....... You're not going to be able to inspire calendergirl to a good Crimimal Minds story, so you gonna try Supernatural?" Joe Black aka Writersblock throws me an amused look. I hardly resist the temptation to throw the Tupperware with the sour apples at his skull, which is so beautifully in my reach. "Well, let's pretend to be neutral observers, why do you want to stop my author from writing?" "Your author, you call that 'neutral', but hey, who wants to argue." "Oh, you don't?" "You want an answer, or not?" "Spit it out," I growle, peering my hat into the corner. "HEA," Joe lets me know. "WHAT?" "Muses ....... dumb like bread. I'm talking about > Happily ever after <"
Now it hit me, "What? You don't like happy endings? Thats why?" Joe stares at me with dark eyes. "Don't like them? I HATE them! You haven't heard the shot, have you?" Joe gets up, walking around in the living room. "The world is at it's end, Muse .. Time to understand ... People die, to hundreds ....... thousands ....... and her protagonists do live 'happily ever after' ....... that is perverse!"
"But this is not true, have you read a single line from 'Callie'? My curls didn't curl anymore, there was so much pain and drama in this story! So don't you tell me it's HEA, douchebag!" "Pah ......... one of so many, Muse, just one. I don't want her to write that crap anymore. That is why I am taking care of this."
Joe is taking a seat again, when Susen gets up from the couch and opens the door from the balcony. She steps outside. >> It is now 2 o'clock in the morning. It's full moon, tonight ....an eerie howling is heard......<< I say in a husky voice. "Oh, please, stop that horror story, she won't jump. And if she does, it's the first floor, so broken arm or leg.......mostly." "You're such an idiot, who made you the judge of good or bad stories? You don't decide this, the readers do, they alone!" Joe starts laughing. "The readers? You think the readers are interested in what writers put on paper? They only consume like smoking a cigarette, read to be forgotten." That makes me almost speechless. "Um ... So you're doing Susen a favor, by making her stop writing?"
"It took me a while to figure it out, Muse. But not writing means no complaining about feedback that won't show up. And, I don't have to handle this sugar coated happy endings no more."
I am starting to wonder, whether I am doing the world a huge favor and drown Writersblock in the bathtub. But muses are nice, so I try it another way. "Okay, Okay .......... I don't deny that writers blocks also have their meaning." "Oh, they do?" "No, I'm serious and sometimes we're going to loose track, Susen and I. Then then it's good to press pause, so you'll give us some space to find a new approach. ....... But only from time to time. " Joe took a bow. "Now we're getting somewhere. Nobody wants me, but everyone needs me."
Gosh! Now I see daylight. "So this isn't about making authors go mad? This is about your ego, pal. You feel, you're not getting the attention, you deserve!" "No," Writersblock murmurs, sounding a bit uncertain. "Oh yes, I think so, honey." I sit down next to him, putting my arm around him. A little kindness didn't kill anyone.
"No one loves me," he suddenly bursts out. "What am I supposed to do to get a bit of attention?" I do not want the authors to burst into jubilant chants when I appear ....... but ........... but they do HATE me!!!" "No one wants to be hated, I understand, honey. But I don't think the authors hate you, well, I wouldn't call you my BFF, either. But ... wait a minute, I don't even know your name. You're 'Joe Black' for me, today." Writersblock looks at me. "It's okay for me, I don't like Klaus-Dieter anyway." "So, then, Joe, I'm Malfalda, and I'm gonna tell you something really important, now. We both are like two sides of a coin, like yin and yang, day and night, summer and winter, our authors need us both. It doesn't work with only one of us. You have to realize that, honey. And there's another secret, I wanna tell you. I do love to make Susen crazy. Give her funny ideas and I love the way she puts them in order." I am patting Joes back, now. "And now come on. The local muse hotspot is still open, having some cocktails doesn't hurt."
"Um ... they will kick my butt right out of this bar, I'm afraid." "Don't be such a cry baby, Joe. I'm gonna tell them, your name's Rupert, a new colleague. Susen needs her sleep and she won't get it with both of us in her head."
And with a snip of my finger we leave my author alone ..........
........... To find new stories .......... new life and new civilization ........ oh ...... wrong fandom, sorry.

The Real Reason Your Blog Doesn’t Rank (How to Write a Blog Post that Ranks in 2019) | SEO Tutorial - An Information Blog
The Real Reason Your Blog Doesn’t Rank (How to Write a Blog Post that Ranks in 2019) | SEO Tutorial
You're writing all these blog posts, but for some reason you're not getting any rankings, and search traffic from Google. You've done everything you know about SEO and search engine optimization, read dozens of SEO Tutorials, but you're still not getting there. And you know what? Today, I'm gonna share why that is and how to fix that. __________________________________________ RESOURCES & LINKS: Ubersuggest (Free tool): https://ift.tt/2Cs1r2d Does Blogging Still Work In 2019? (Video): https://youtu.be/i4CY-XD6agM 5 Tips For Writing An Awesome Blog Post (Video): https://youtu.be/ygiAqYJq8No “How to Start a Blog That Generates $3817 a Month” (Article): https://ift.tt/2y0G0ne ►Read more Blogging tips, SEO advice and tactics on my blog: https://ift.tt/2ytuIas ____________________________________________ Blogging is no longer a quantity game. When I started blogging there was less than 30 or 40 million blogs. It was a smaller number. Now there are over a billion blogs. Just think about that. A billion blogs on the web. That's roughly one blog for every seven people. Do you think we really need all those blogs out there? No, of course not. That's why blogging has shifted from a quality game versus a quantity game. When I started you can just crank out tons of quantity, you'll do well. And now if you do that, you won't do well. So I'm gonna break down the formula you need to follow, step by step. Step one, head over to Ubersuggest. Step two, once you're at Ubersuggest, type in a competing URL. So take any one of your competitors that you know is doing really well, type in their URL into Ubersuggest. Step three, you'll see an overview page. This will show you their traffic, all their search terms, within the region you're targeting. You'll see that URL's traffic. You can always switch the region to another country. But the reason this tool is built this way is that your customers are probably coming from a specific region versus from everywhere in the world. On that page I want you to scroll down, click on Top Pages. When you click on Top Pages it'll show you all of the most popular pieces of content that your competition's written about, their traffic to each post, and when you click View All under their estimated traffic, it'll show you all the keywords that are driving those visitors. Now, the next step I want you to follow. You're looking for the keywords that drive in a lot of traffic, the most volume. You'll be looking for keywords that have a low search difficulty or SEO difficulty number. Ideally under 50. And you'll be looking for keywords that have a high cost per click. So, in general, if it's over a dollar or two, three dollars, the better. When you find these keywords, those are money keywords. I want you to go and search for 'em on Google. Which is the next step. So go to Google, do a search for one of those keywords. When you do a search, read all the articles in the top ten. When you read all the articles in the top ten it'll give you a good understanding of what Google is looking for for the articles that rank for that term. Especially if you wanna rank for it. The next step is to write a much better article. I'm not talking about something that's double, triple the length. I'm not even talking about 10 times the length. Yes, you want something that's longer and more in depth. But it's not all about length. It's more about thoroughness. Did you cover every aspect of that article, that topic? For example, if it's making a pizza, do you talk about the crust? How the water affects the crust and the taste. Is it better to use bottled water or tap water? How should you cook your pizza? Do you cook the dough first and then put on the sauce? Like, what's the process? By breaking it down step by step to even what kind of oven you should use. Where to put the tray in the oven. In the middle, at the top, at the bottom. They're like, "Oh my god Neil, I got so much value out of it." And that's the key to creating an amazing piece of content. That's how you write content that gets traffic. It's not about producing quantity. It's about producing quality. And the last step I have for you is when you're producing these content email all the other sites that you source, right? The sites you're linking to. Once you follow this research process you'll do much better. And this is why, if you follow this, you will start only writing articles that rank. You'll stop writing articles that get no traction - which is a huge waste of time. ► If you need help growing your business check out my ad agency Neil Patel Digital @ https://ift.tt/2Kiwn8k Subscribe: https://goo.gl/ScRTwc to learn more secret SEO tips. ►Find me on Facebook: https://ift.tt/2313ZvR #SEO #NeilPatel #Blogging Related Posts Go To Home Page Traffic From Google Without Backlinks March 11, 2019 at 05:00AM via Blogger https://ift.tt/2TIMa9g #blogger #bloggingtips #bloggerlife #bloggersgetsocial #ontheblog #writersofinstagram #writingprompt #instapoetry #writerscommunity #writersofig #writersblock #writerlife #writtenword #instawriters #spilledink #wordgasm #creativewriting #poetsofinstagram #blackoutpoetry #poetsofig

I finished two songs today, I don't know if they're any good, but I tried. I guess the thing is, is it's easy to write a generic pop song about partying and love, but when you want to write something that reflects all your truths, finding the right words is hard sometimes, because sometimes it's really deep, and you don't always know how to make it fluent and poetic. I guess I'm gonna stop worrying so much about it being totally perfect and start letting it be totally me. I do want to write the perfect album, and I guess I always thought I had a formula for it to fit. I've realized now that there doesn't have to be a formula or a "way." It just has to be me. #singer #songwriter #song #singersongwriter #music #love #lovemusic #pop #popmusic #me #personal #travy #curls #album #record #writersblock #gay #instagay #gaystagram #yay #pastel #pink #notebook #writing #piano #keyboard #guitar

How to Develop a Growth Hacking Mentality | Neil Patel - An Information Blog
How to Develop a Growth Hacking Mentality | Neil Patel
Today I’m going to teach you how to develop a growth hacking mentality. Do you want to grow fast like Facebook and Dropbox? It doesn’t matter what industry you’re in. You can grow fast like that. In this video I’m going to share with you a secret to fast growth and developing a growth hacking mentality. __________________________________________ RESOURCES & LINKS: “Growth Hacking Strategies | Tips to Get More Traffic, Customers and Traction” (video): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbvPok3xo5g&feature=youtu.be Growth Hacking Made Simple: A Step-by-Step Guide: http://bit.ly/2wjgESE 12 Growth Hacking Techniques You Can Try This Week: http://bit.ly/2QTEdIU “How Digital Marketing Will Change in 2019” (video): https://youtu.be/b-gwbVJqi9Y Read more Growth Hacking tips on my blog: http://bit.ly/2ytuIas ____________________________________________ ►Subscribe: https://goo.gl/ScRTwc to learn more secret SEO tips. Find me on Facebook: http://bit.ly/2313ZvR Read more on my blog: http://bit.ly/2ytuIas The first tip I have for you is, when you're doing growth hacking or marketing, you need to document everything you've done. If you're doing a SEO change, document it. Even write down if it helped increase your traffic or dropped your traffic. If you're doing things like paid advertising and you notice your costs skyrocket during the holiday season, document that. By documenting everything, and even if you have a marketing team, you guys should all be doing this together. The second mind shift that you need to make is never be satisfied with your growth. You can always be bigger. You can always have more traffic. You can always have more sales. The moment you become satisfied and complacent with where you are at, you're gonna stop growing. The third tip I have for you is spy on your competitors. You don't have to be the most creative person to leverage growth hacking. Your competition is leveraging tactics that you're not. They're growing in other ways that you're not. So using tools like SEMrush, SpyFu, Ahrefs, Buzzsumo, WhatRunsWhere. Using tools like BuiltWith. All these tools will show you what your competition is doing. The fourth tip I have for you is to stay up to date with the latest and greatest. Things are constantly changing on the web. There are sites like Product Hunt that show you all the cool tools that are coming out there and this is amazing for marketers because if you see something that's cool, that's new and cutting edge, you can be one of the first people to test it out and leverage it before your competition. The fifth tip I have for you is never stop learning. You can always be better at SEO. I could always be doing better. And you know how you do better? You constantly learn. I don't look at my competitors like HubSpot being like, they suck, I'm better than them. Instead, I look at what they're doing and be like, how can I learn from them? How can I take some of their tactics, apply it to my business, and grow faster? Always constantly learn. You don't know everything that you should. The moment you close your eyes and you stop learning? That's when your growth is just gonna tank and go down. And the last tip I have for you, always be testing. You can test and retest. Here's what I mean by this. I would do login or sign up using Google. So, instead of making people reenter their name or password, they can sign up through Google or Facebook. And when I did that my conversion skyrocketed and I stopped testing. And I'm not saying I stopped running A/B tests altogether but I stopped testing that same thing. I would go on to new tests and I would do things like maybe test my headlines. Then I would test maybe a mobile checkout page and I would keep running new tests. But I forgot one thing. I didn't retest and here's why that's important. For example, right now security is a huge concern. When I did a retest on login or signup with Google and I forced people to only take that option because that's what I had for the longest period of time, my conversions tanked. The moment I removed that option and gave that as, hey you can put in an email and password or login and register through Google, my conversions went up. But back in the day, I found out when I only gave the Google option, I had more conversions. And that's why you wanna retest because market conditions change. Such as, people are afraid of security. And when you do retesting it ensures that the stuff that you're keeping on your website is truly maximizing your conversion rates to the fullest. So, that's it. #NeilPatel #GrowthHacking #growthhacks Related Posts Go To Home Page Traffic From Google Without Backlinks January 17, 2019 at 04:00AM via Blogger http://bit.ly/2RxVwEC #blogger #bloggingtips #bloggerlife #bloggersgetsocial #ontheblog #writersofinstagram #writingprompt #instapoetry #writerscommunity #writersofig #writersblock #writerlife #writtenword #instawriters #spilledink #wordgasm #creativewriting #poetsofinstagram #blackoutpoetry #poetsofig
