#when I initiated a battle with Sunflower just to confirm it wasn’t shiny only to discover it was I was genuinely like “WHAT?”

Little guide to shiny-hunting the Volcarona Paradoxes and Heavy Metal Robots based on my experiences today. “Subtle shiny” means I struggle to identify it. For the two with non-subtle shinies, I was thinking to myself I wouldn’t need to do a double take for Wing whereas I later on thought I might need to do a double take for Thorns

I made a bunch of sandwiches in both versions today for some shiny-hunting

All the shinies I found today (two screenshots per shiny). In order: Dandelion the Slither Wing, Fern the Great Tusk, Sunflower the Sandy Shocks (which I could tell looked slightly different to the other Sandy Shocks in the area but I was genuinely convinced it was just a trick of the light even after Blueberry refused to battle it), Sage the Iron Thorns, Sage 2.0 the Iron Thorns (I initially left it without a nickname because I didn’t like the name Sage 2.0 and wasn’t keen on reusing Mint from my Noibat in Scarlet but I decided it was too good an opportunity to miss), Banana the Iron Hands and a random blue Venomoth I haven’t named yet (my first Area Zero shiny that isn’t a Paradox Pokémon). Pretty good given I only planned on shiny-hunting Wing, Hands and Moth today (yeah I tried shiny-hunting Moth but even with Cherry auto-battling them I still couldn’t find any shinies and now my Switch is low on battery. I also wanted to shiny-hunt Mane in Scarlet but I fucked up the recipe by forgetting I needed two servings of red onions not one and that was my last Herba)
