You smiled and patted the spot next to you, he smiled softly as he lay next to you, leaning his head against the headboard.

"Whats on the menu this lunch?'' You asked closing your book to pay attention to him, ''Roasted chicken and a salad'' He answered placing his arm against your hip and pulled you closer to him.

''Hm~" You hummed a unfamiliar tune and he felt you play with his hair, your book long forgotten on the bed, ''Having fun?'' The puppet asked, eyes closing in relaxation.

"Heh..your hairs gotten a little longer, should we cut it soon?" You asked playing with his hair more. Wanderer had to think for a moment and then responded with a simple ''Sure''

''Oh..by the way, how are you feeling these days? I mean..it hasn't been too long since all of that happened...'' You asked casting a worried gaze towards him.

''I've...been..thinking back on somethings'' He answered, thinking back to the memories that came back to him awhile ago.

''I..I have to say i..I'm sorry'' The puppet said tightening his grip on you, ''Sorry? Darling..you have nothing to be sorry for-" He cut you off with his gaze filled with remorse and regret.

"No..I....I...I pushed you away, I chose my selfish desires and revenge instead of choosing the most important thing that had ever happened in this mortal life...its you'' He said now gazing at you with eyes full of love.

Wanderer gritted his teeth and grabbed your hand and put it on top of his chest where his heart should be, he then looked at you with a lovesick gaze.

I have NO idea if Cloudhymn can be used for anything other than water based “magic,” but I’m kind of using it as a catch-all for Vidyadhara abilities/technology, so I’m saying it could be used to create solid illusions. I am basing this on basically nothing except I honestly can’t explain Dan Heng’s transformation otherwise. How does he just…change outfits like that?? Explain!!!

I still don’t have a good answer to what happened to Dan Heng’s bracer when he changed forms. Did he hide it with cloudhymn?? Because he was worried about the few things he had gained on being exiled becoming lost to him?? Is the one we see on him not the real one? We just don’t know. (this bothers me immensely btw. He clearly still wears it cause Blade can track him so??? Where did it go when he switched forms????) My only conclusion is that he’s wearing it as Imbibitor Lunae, but hiding it from sight with his cloudhymn to protect it because he considers it precious without fully understanding why, kind of like he does with Cloud Piercer. It’s like bracer-ception up in here. He’s wearing it, but hidden in his already hidden form, but has a copy of it visible in his usual form. I’m honestly getting a headache. Let’s just put it down to the weird Vidyadhara magic it clearly is. The delves are their work too, so it’s probably like that on a small scale. Fucking advanced ass dragon tech looking like magic.

Wow. Look at Dan Heng go. He was put in a supportive and positive environment for like two years(what the fuck is his timeline?) and now he’s going to drag his ex-husband up with him. Good for him.

Ok I didn’t want to add this to my notes earlier cause I just know it would change people’s reading experience, but I don’t actually think Dan Heng’s eyes are jade at all. They’re way too blue and not nearly green enough. No, I just really wanted it emphasized that Blade sees them as something akin to precious stones, with all the implications that those carry. …at least for broke bitches like myself, who has never held an jade in my life, only seen them on other people. Ymmv and all… Changing it to the sea once they figured things out was to emphasize that he still found them overwhelming, but now they were something he could touch and be encompassed by. The sea is their ultimate home for most life forms, and it’s Imbibitor Lunae’s seat of power, so it felt really fitting to have Blade give life another try there. He still wants to die, he still has chronic pain, but he’s more content to wait and enjoy the little moments he can before he gets to finally rest. (someone let peepaw take a nap-- is shot)

Also my original idea had Blade getting stabbed back when the teams were getting separated, but then I switched it to Firefly. Blade can’t hog all the angsty injuries. Keep some for the people (or weird not!rei clones or whatever) >:/

Honestly, the fragmentum creatures here were difficult. This is absolutely a civilization that has laser guns and shit, hence me giving them those weird ice missile launchers, but if they all had guns then what would these idiots carrying around fucking swords and bats and spears and ZERO armor do in a fight?? So the fragmentum just…doesn’t use guns. It’s anti-NRA. Okay? Okay.

Fuck realistic stellar orbits. The “moons” appear and disappear as I say they should. (to be honest, having days of no “moon” would make sense considering they’re on the dark side of the second to last planet in the system, so there’s only one planet further out than them, and their several day orbits would mean it’s only visible sometimes. Honestly, I probably have it visible too much. RIP realism)

…All my readers are aware that Yingxing contains the character for star and Yinyue-jun uses moon, right? Like, no one is lost on why I keep making Blade look up at the sky? Awesome. And don’t even get me started on all the uses of the “moon” being red (everyone say thank you Trappist system). There are so many fucking layers here. A right old literary onion

Okay, more thoughts on how Dan Heng’s different forms work: he isn’t going to just lose all his clothes if someone knocks him unconscious. It takes cloudhymn to unmake them as much as it took cloudhymn to make them. They do, however, serve as a sort of “shield,” allowing him to absorb an otherwise deadly injury. (this is what I’m telling myself at least to explain the whole stabbing incident. Like what the fuck was that???)

Dan Heng: kisses blade Blade: blade.exe has stopped working Did you know that they weren’t supposed to kiss until the last chapter (which was originally five before it got way too long…)? These bastards were too impatient for that though. Throwing my plans out the window, rude. Oh well. I also switched something I’d planned to have in this chapter to the last one, so equivalent exchange and what not

I firmly believe that for all that Dan Heng is the “rational” one who thinks things through, he is also stupidly impulsive.

I am fully prepared to get jossed hardcore by canon in a future update. I originally tried to write this fic with Blade just not having the memories, but it didn’t really work and also contradicted canon so… Here we are. Honestly though, we have way too many sus things going on around the Sedition and I think we’ve been straight up lied to in some places. It’s still the info I have to work with and I do like the Bailu=Baiheng theory. So I might as well write it now while I still can lol

i didn't catch most of the sumeru events and I so get it. i want more of it too, it's like so-so. Big and colorful. fontaine is just sort of the same

Hoyoverse really popped off with sumeru tbh, both characters and quests.

tbh I'm of the opinion that like. there should be one new location event with each update (like the thelxi stuff, tho it was not very exploratory, could have been better) and then they should just do one in a Different nation (I guess they had that poetry thing but it was kinda boring)

also like. they need the hsr thing where you can play story events even after they're done. I missed the fucking interdarshan tournament and I'm still so fucking sad about it. I haven't even been playing genshin all that long and the events already bore me to death. i know they're hard to make but like hoyoverse come on. genshin is you most popular game, Make An Effort

this is my main issue too and also probably why hoyo decided to take the focus off playable characters and instead make npcs important for events. i have difficulties connecting and feeling so easily so im really unfazed when some random ass same face npc who i know for not even 5mins suddenly dies (cough teppei or what that silly guy was named) or smth- what im saying is that i need the time and chance to know more of this character before i can have a connection and then im able to feel. its why i fucking CRIED and felt so much for jeht and why shes honestly the best npc in this entire game to me HAHAH we honestly need more npcs and stories like jeht and the one cartographer in the chasm etc

bc hoyo locked some important character stories/lore behind events where the focus was on them (albedos events with SUPER IMPORTANT lore to the game), the scara event before his release, kavehs event,...) it sucks a lot for people who missed those. i guess its why they started to bring in more npcs instead but honestly, those events feel very bland to me most of the time (ofc its different for others) bc of my issue with connecting with a character in a limited time. im excited to see some familiar faces again and then the main story is some random ass npcs lovestory

idk i feel like the events really drop lately. maybe its also just bc im a pampered little noodle spoiled rotten by lantern rite and interdarshan championship. idk if ppl get me there hhghg i think if they either create unique npcs and give us the time and chance to make a connection with them, the events they create around them might get better again. this, or they bring back more events focusing on playable characters but make those accessible after the event end for new players missing them

I promised a post about Mika and how Hoyoverse fucked him up forever ago but I was trying to finish like fifty other wips. I'm nearly done with one at the time of writing this so here's the Mika post absolutely no one asked for.

Let me start off by saying I think this little munchkin is adorable. He definitely has the same kind of things going for him as every other playable character up until this point. A lot of random accessories like tassels, belts etc. And the symbols on his clothes feel very Mondstadt. I enjoy characters the most when they have very aesthetically pleasing outfits. (Venti and Aether are the best examples of this for me). So Mika's outfit was automatically very eye catching for me.

However I do believe he does not look like he belongs in this game. I've noticed other people saying it too but for me personally he just feels so oddly disconnected from the other PC's (I'm just gonna write PC's for playable character instead of spelling the whole thing out over and over and over again.)

Like every PC is automatically noticeable and obvious if you stand them in a group of NPC's but for Mika he's got this brighter color scheme that clashes with character's like Jean and Kaeya who when he stands next to them have darker colors on their outfits. So he stands out more than they do. Maybe if he stood next to like Venti it'd be less noticeable. His hair also is so so bright and most Mondstadters have darker hair or natural looking hair colors except for Sucrose, Klee and Diona (even perhaps Bennett and Razor.)

Like seriously look at him in comparison to everyone else in this shot. He's almost more of an eye sore than Traveler. I'd actually argue that he is more of an eye sore than Traveler. But to be fair Traveler's outfit has gotten two years of time to get used to in comparison. But you know what enough about that let's discuss why Hoyo fucking hates him.

Not only did they give Mika the Scaramouche treatment. Which btw is far far worse for Mika seeing as he is the second to last introduced Mondstadter. He was also dropped right in the middle of: Cyno's first banner (a character people have been excited for for two years). The second part of the Sumeru archon quest, Scaramouche's reintroduction and backstory drop and in an event that already had so many beloved characters that we are already extremely accustomed to/love!

This event will also be gone in a couple more weeks (at the time of writing this.) So people who start playing after 3.1 aren't even going to completely understand how egregiously Hoyo fucked this poor baby up. He's had no mentions literally anywhere before this and was thrust upon us with no warning in the worst way possible. Funny that a post I made like a month or two ago is relevant again. The part where I said Hoyo screws their four stars with shitty writing tactics.

He's supposedly a character that was on Eula's exploration team and they made him feel like he was just created a couple weeks before the update dropped. Why has Eula never mentioned him before???? In fact no character has mentioned him before now. They threw in some random voicelines for him from a couple of the knights and called it a day.

Idk maybe this wasn't their fault and they were forced to include him for some behind the scenes reason but this is the worst character introduction they've had so far.

The worst part for me is that he has nothing to even stand out now that he does exist. He's a cryo polearm apparently so he's gonna automatically be outshined by Rosaria game play wise. Not to mention we one hundred percent didn't need another polearm user.

They gave him far too little screen time to really judge his personality which means we've gotta wait till he shows up again and lord knows when we're gonna get another Mondstadt event. Because I highly doubt they're going to drop him into any story quests any time soon. And who knows if/when he's getting a hangout because the Sumeru four stars are definitely getting their's first. This is definitely the most frustrated I've been at a character introduction in this game.

Also I had no idea where to put this. But his weird little ponytail thing annoys me a little. It reminds me of when I was in high-school and a girl would offer to put a boy's hair in a pony tail. But his hair would always be too short so she'd tug the tiny near nonexistent strands into a hair tie and it'd end up looking similarly to that.

Like it's so stupid just cut that part off or let those hairs roam free it's so weird looking 😬 anyway. I'm done ranting if you read this far I'm kind of shocked actually but regardless thank you. This is such a random post but I needed everyone to know how frustrating Mika is to me.

I still want him though. I just wish Hoyo didn't fuck him up like this.
