I'm reasonably sure this whole arc is based on US politics. (Does everybody already know this? Is it obvious?)

Switch the Death Riders for Republicans and Mox for Trump/Boomers and it's pretty much word for word.

Yuta is all the kids who get sucked into this hateful bullshit, and Claudio is the dads who may mean well and love their kid, but pass on the rhetoric and macho bullshit.

When Yuta realizes it doesn't have to be this way, that he doesn't have to be so controlled and follow old rules, it's going to be such a heartbreaking and cathartic moment. I'm hoping it involves Marina (the loyal mother figure who has her own views and dreams but never speaks about them until she's pushed over the edge.) It'll be the end of the Death Riders, even if they keep up the schtick for a while.

Mox will say Yuta was too soft, a mama's boy, product of his time, and Claudio will either be nowhere to be found or still stand behind Mox but with a heartbroken look, and eventually it will break Mox and Claudio too.

Beautiful storytelling.

(Bucks are the liberals who immediately flee once it's clear Mox is in charge. I think Pac is... a hired gun?)

the core contradiction of the death riders and mox's mission is that it's about securing the future of wrestling, right? but he's still so entrenched in the way things were done that he can't see that it's not like it was back in 2005 or in 2012 anymore. like the whole point of what they went through is so it can be easier for the new generation now. so they don't have to kill themselves and isolate themselves and fall victim to the same demons that plagued those before them. so wrestling can be healthy and thriving.

mox says it's about the future and the generations to come after him but he can't let go of his own past. he can't let go of his own resentment and the chip on his shoulder from seeing the generations before him be lazy and complacent and take things for granted and ruin the industry so he's now projecting those things onto the guys he's supposed to be leading and supporting.

he changed things. he saved wrestling once, twice, so many times. he did what he set out to do. he built something new and now he's scared of losing it. but the whole point of building a legacy is trusting that it can survive without you. that you made it strong enough to last. you can let go of the stranglehold. you can let the responsibilities and the burdens fall from your shoulders. you can rest now.
