I’ve brought my car to a few different mechanics in the last 6 or so months (maybe even the last year. Idk time anymore. There was before the wedding and after the wedding, before that it was before Covid, during Covid, and after Covid haha)

And FINALLY SOMEONE FOUND THE PROBLEM (for part of it)

I need new wheelbearings. Howwwww did it take this many mechanics to find it?! The guy was like “oh I knew right away”

Anyway. I don’t have 1k to drop on my car so 🙃

But at least my brakes are new and my car is feeling at least a small bit better.

Oh! Also I brought my car in for an inspection and everything else looked great. I feel like the mechanic is a real honest guy (so I hope). He tries really hard to explain things to me and I’ve never met a mechanic who does that, like he won’t let me walk away until I have a grasp on what the purpose of the part it, why it’s important, and why they need to do the work on my car.

Anyway, I did the wheelbearings and my car feels like my baby again!!! I’m so excited to get her back on the highway

There’s one more repair that’ll be on its way but he said I have plenty of time and wanted to give me the cost now so I know what’s coming. Im *hoping* to have a down payment saved. He also warned against the 2016-2018 Camaros. But this gives me time to get used to the idea of a different car. (Still breaks my heart)

She’s an intern, but she’s very affordable because of it (dang, interns really deserve a higher rate tho)

This is kinda me meeting my expectations in the middle I guess. The only EMDR therapist I found that does sliding scale is a guy. And while I do feel I have come a long way In not being afraid of men and being open to them (honestly mostly from tumblr interactions haha), I’d rather not process trauma with a man that I have because of a “man.”

Anyway, she’s young, maybe younger than me and I’m good with that. I feel like we’d connect better and I’d feel more comfortable.

I’m really excited! At her rate I can go weekly! Which is really want I’ve needed.
