Sanji AU 5

- Besides One Piece, his other well known role is Black Cat from the movie series Black Ops Squad. Zoro is also a part of the series as the main protagonist whilst Sanji is one of the antagonists and his character is like a male version of the Baroness who gleefully wrecked havoc on the heroes and also has sexual tension with Zoro’s character

- Sanji’s performance was unanimously praised by everyone as he shocked everyone with an amazing performance as a deranged yet sexy agent who also has a crush on the hero

- Sanji considers that his fave role as he is playing against type

- He and Zoro enjoyed the fight scenes and considering their One Piece characters and their dynamic, this does not shock anyone

- The best fight scene involving their characters happened towards the end of the movie. Both of them used hand to hand combat here and Sanji was ruthless in that scene and many jokes about him being more aroused in that scene due to the sexual tone of his voice

- Fanboys enjoyed the movie because they get to see Sanji’s famous ass on display in multiple scenes. Same applies to Zoro too

But yeah, I was a bit sad that oda actually canon backed away from Kamabakka Sanji, since he even drew him actually enjoying being there after a while. He clearly started to feel more comfortable in a dress and make up and being spoiled and he started to explore himself more. I honestly loved those moments.

Him just being at peace which himself. Accepting who he truly is and or could be.

But yeah I can also see Crocodile's side. He's probably out as gay since his teens or early adult and he doesn't regret it just being himself since he stopped caring what others could think about him. He just wants to enjoy his life and doesn't want to bend himself to please others.

So coming across Sanji maybe even made him a bit sad. Regarding the Yandere AU

Hello, I’m back again with another message. This is regarding Kpop yandere AUs and the hate it’s been getting recently. Now even though I’m a huge fan of the genre, let me assure that I’m not going to be a blindly defending it. There are two sides to this fiasco and I’ll address both of them. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE THING BEFORE COMMENTING! And yes, I am well aware that yanderes (whether they kill or not) are horrible, toxic people who should not be praised or excused in any kind of fashion. They sadly exist in the real world as well, trust me I’d know, so I really try to stray from the spectrum where it turns to me romanticizing them. I get why some people are disgusted with the existence of this AU in the first place, since the idols would never do something so horrible. To be fair though, that’s the point of AUs. They are meant to be an alternate reality where things are different from our reality.

I’d like to point out that not every writer or artist who feature such topics in their work automatically supports such. That’s like saying that every Creepypasta artist justifies serial killers and likes to torment people. 

And as for the argument of “that’s like saying that they’re actually like that”, I can also avert that to mafia AUs as well. Because when you strip away all the fancy cars and suits, they are very horrible people who ruined many lives and spreaded terror amongst the innocent. Which is also not what idols do. So if a yandere fic makes you feel like the writer’s romanticizing it too much, instead of going in a blind tirade and leaving hate comments and assumptions of a person you’ve never met, why not talk about your concerns in a mature manner to the author. If people would take the time to talk to each other instead of going into a blind rage with their pitchforks in hand, then there would be less drama in fandoms.

Now, I want to full on state that the inspiration behind this whole post is because of the recent fiasco between some anons and a user named @i-growl-growl-growl. They posted a yandere reaction request about the reader falling in love with the NCT members after they kidnapped the reader (so it wasn’t even their idea to begin with).

After it was posted, they were faced with heavy backlash with anons saying that it was disgusting and they should delete their other NCT yandere reactions since the anons felt that it promotes Stockholm Syndrome and abusive relationships. Despite the user profusely apologizing over and over again, it still wasn’t enough. Hopefully, everything worked out in the end and both sides are on even terms now.

Seeing this made me upset since it reminded me of a similar incident happening to another user, who’s one of my favorite authors, @aestaetic-co. Except her work was on Stray Kids and had a similar, yet not identical, scenario. She was even pushed into deleting the work she was getting hate over. Sadly, they aren’t the only ones who went through this. She’s okay now and both of these authors deserve a follow and support. But I’m also not bashing the anons since they have a right to be concerned.

And yes, some authors aren’t innocent either. There are some people out there who actually think a yandere’s actions are okay and that’s sad. A bit of advice to authors, this is why it’s really important that you include trigger warnings for any fiction featuring sensitive topics such as abuse. I know it may seem tedious, but why do you think it exists in the first place? Because no, a trigger is NOT something that makes you angry or upset. A trigger, by Urban Dictionary’s definition, is “a term used to describe sensations, images, or experiences that trigger a traumatic memory.” It’s similar to PTSD. For example, a scene in a movie where a group of hostages are executed could trigger someone since they witnessed their best friend being shot in the head as a young teen.

You see where I’m going with here? It means that by reading your work that you didn’t put any sort of warnings in it, you could make someone mentally relieve that traumatic experience all over again. So, it’ll really do a world of a difference if you include warnings for anyone whom you may unknowingly hurt. If they ignore the warnings by reading it anyways, then it’s not your fault. At least you took the extra step by warning others.

Now, as a part of the yandere fandom, one thing that I despise about it is the amount of sexualization and glorification of yandere characters. If you know anything about Satō Matsuzaka, then you’d need to take of look at Satō apologists to see what romanticization of yanderes truly is. I seen people say “I want my gf/bf to be a yandere!” Mind you that most of these people who say that are children who probably doesn’t understand the severity of their words.

But there’s also people who says that she “has a reason for her actions” or even tell us that “it’s not like she’s in love with that child.” That still doesn’t subtract for all the horrible things she did and a reason for someone’s actions shouldn’t be an excuse. Well since Satō was taught at a young age on how to abuse people, I guess it’s okay for her to kidnap a young child while taking advantage of the child’s traumatic memories and killing her own best friend in cold blood. After all, she didn’t know any better.

And this is the reason why the yandere fandom are dubbed as abuse apologists. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again once more. YANDERES AREN’T MEANT TO BE HEROES! They aren’t cool, traumatic, nor sexy. They are also not victims that we should cuddle and praise. They are toxic monsters, no ifs, ands, or buts. Even though I’m a yandere fan, I can’t give you a reason to why people think yanderes are sexy, since I don’t find them appealing myself.

So before I make this longer and continue to make less sense, I’ll end this here. I want to clarify that people are still free to dislike the trope all together. I still dislike Sanji, Master Roshi, and Minoru Mineta simply because they are sexual harassers. Not perverts, they’re sexual harassers. The reason why I like yanderes is because of the psychological aspect behind them. Similar to people who are intrigued by serial killers. It’s one thing to be like that, but it’s also another thing to strip all the bad traits away to make despicable, unredeemable characters seem likable to your eyes.

So, I hope this give something new on the table since I wasn’t liking the responses of the people defending the authors that inspired this post. Unless they make a trigger warning, then readers aren’t aware of the content of the work. And the people who are upset about it aren’t stupid. People don’t have to like yandere content. And as for @favedown’s post about this, while I agree with some of your points, I’d like to point out that there is no such thing as “nonharmful” yandere content. Yanderes are selfish and toxic by nature, so they don’t have to kill or kidnap you, but they’re still disgusting human beings.

Everything wrong with Whole Cake Arc

I had a really high hopes for that arc. This actually was arc that brought me in One Piece fandom from being casual reader. Too bad that it ended up sucking. And sucking big.

First of all, I wanna say what I liked in this arc. I liked how Charlotte daughter had slightly more diverse designs. I liked some parts of Sanji’s backstory and how it made so much sense in context. I really liked Luffy’s “Without you I can't become the Pirate King“ moment. And several other small moments.

However, there are so. SO MUCH BULLSHIT. And let’s talk about it.

● Rescue team composition and how it affected emotional context of the story. Or how it DIDN’T affect emotional context if the story. Seriously, Oda got all the cards in his hands, but never actually used it. 

I’m not really fond of who was on the rescue mission. And no, I’m not saying that Zoro should be there, tho it would be heartwarming for me personaly and it could lead to interesting and emotional moments. No, it’s Usopp who I think should be on the mission.

Let me explain why. I think Usopp would be the one who would understand Sanji the most. He knows how it feels to be weak, he knows how it feel to loose your parent to an illness. He understands and he could be a very comforting person for Sanji to be around.

I also feel like Chopper - another character who was ostracized and understand how it feels to be different from the others - was underutilized. 

● Vinsmoke’s backstory dosen’t really make that much sense. 

First, for a scientist that worked with Vegapunk Judge is fucking stupid. One of his sons isn’t showing significant progress in developing superhuman strenght? And he like, just done nothing? He didn’t try to experement on Sanji more? Didn’t feed him a devil fruit? He didn’t try to raise Sanji as a scientist, so his less stellar son wouldn’t be a total waste of time and be usefull to his goal in a different way?

Second, Sora’s death dosen’t make that much sense to me. I mean, Juge seems to somewhat care about her. But he like, couldn’t cure her? Seriously? They have technology to create a fucking geneticly modified clones, but not enough to cure whatever side effect theese drugs had? No, seriously? I’m starting to think that Sora was just suicidal and sabotaged her own treatment. This, at the very least, makes sense.

And Sanji, sweet dear Sanji. WHY THE FUCK YOU DIDN’T CHANGE YOUR NAME. WHY THE FUCK YOU DIDN’T REALLY TRY TO HIDE YOUR EYEBROWS IF YOU DON’T WANT FOR PEOPLE TO KNOW THAT YOU ARE FUCKING PRINCE OF GERMA. Like, seriously, how no one INCLUDING THE WORLD FUCKING GOVERMENT didn’t actually noticed? I mean, Germa 66 still operates as a mercenary army, and it’s seem that they working in all seas. SO WHY DA FUCK SANJI DIDN’T EVEN TRIED TO HIDE HIS IDENTITY? 

Another thing that my friend mentioned and I agree oh so much: Vinsmokes came out of nowhere. Oda didn’t builded them up AT ALL. And they suppose to be a big names. Comicses with them are suppose to be well-known, but were never mentioned? Seriously? And the previous arc revolved around a pirates who operated mostly in North Blue, so like? Couldn’t Oda hint on Germa’s existense there? Like literaly, make it that it was Germa 66 that purged Law’s island. But nope, came out of nowhere.

● Also, speaking of Vinsmoke family and Sora particulary. HELLO ANOTHER SAINT DEAD MOM. I’m so, so tired of this trope, especially in One Piece. Dead women as a backstory is NOT GOOD. The only female-related trope in One Piece that I’m tired off more is...

●  SEXY OUTFIT, FUCKING AGAIN. Seriously, I’m so, so pissed off by Reiju’s uniform. It makes NO GODDAMN SENSE. Why her outfit isn’t even invoking any designs elemets that her brother’s do? It dosen’t look like a soldier uniform, it dosen’t even invoke “super sentai“ look. Hell, outfit of her couterpart from in-universe comics about Germa 66 LOOKS BETTER. Fuck you, Oda, fuck your sexist ass.

● Year of Sanji they said. Well, I’m kinda dissapointed that Sanji didn’t really have a baddas moment in his own arc. He had like one small moment, when he saved his shit of a family and that’s all. His cake DIDN’T DO ANYTHING. He didn’t have a significant battle. And by the end of the arc he was way to overshadowed by Luffy and Katakuri.

● Speaking of, WHY DA FUCK IT’S LUFFY WHO FOUGHT KATAKURI. For me, it makes so little sense. Luffy’s specialization seems to be weaponised (Armament and Conqueror’s) Haki, not Observation Haki. So why make Luffy overpowered by making him stand agains a person with Observation Haki so powerfull that he can see the future.

Honestly, It should’ve been Sanji’s fight. He seems to be geared towards Observation and speed. This fight would make so, so much sense, it would FINALLY  give Sanji a moment to shine. And it would be interestng clash of personalities: an older brother who surpressed his identity to protect family he cares about and family who adores him; and a younger brother who ran away to protect his sense of identity from the family who hated and abused him. This should’ve been amaizing.

And hey, it could also be Luffy + Sanji vs. Katakuri, so it wouldn’t make either of our protagonists seems to bee way too overpowered AND actually would be a neat illustration of “power of friendship”, an idea that you don’t have to be perfect, that having people who support you and whom you support is more important.

SERIOUSLY IT WAS SO MUCH WASTED POTENTIAL.

● Why Sanji had to go in a “pervert mood” in inapropriet momennts? Why Oda still thinks that this is funny, and isn’t an overdone gag that makes Sanji look kinda pathetic? 

● Oda have a serious problems with pacing. Both Dressrosa and this arc seems to cram way too much evrything, so an arc ending up overstating it’s welcome. And that’s kinda sad.

One Piece is a very fascinating manga for me. It’s so good, but at the same time it’s so bad. It’s sexist, my fav boi is treated by author like shit, character development is never a prioriry, and did I say that it’s uncomfortably sexist? It so, so fucking is.

I love One Piece, but sometimes it’s a manga that is really hard to love.

More Gossip Girl AU Headcanons: The Roronoas

-Everyone calls Zoro Prince-sama because he acts like one

-Zoro resembles Arashi a lot which many suspect to be a reason why Terra treats Zoro like trash

-Idol by Yoasobi in this universe is sang by Miku and that song is actually referring to not only herself and all idols in general but that song is her way of telling people about Zoro's situation. The fact that it was released around the time of the #FreeZoro movement makes it more awesome and heartwarming. Zoro cried when he heard the song and thanked Miku for it

-The #FreeZoro movement was secretly started by Kuina, Perona and Zoro's backup dancers

-Miku and Zoro got their talents from their dad which is why their mum behaves the way she does. She envies her kids and her husband

-Arashi watched his kids on TV whilst in asylum. What Terra did not know is that Mihawk found out about Arashi and figured out a way to free him and whisk him off to Japan to be free. When the #FreeZoro movement begins, Arashi returns to America to reunite with his son. He also gains the strength to confront his wife and proceeds to finalise the divorce proceedings that she tried to delay years ago

-The Roronoa/Dracule clan are all great dancers

-The family now host movie nights every weekend to watch old Roronoa and Dracule classics

-Arashi and Mihawk have been best friends for years since they were kids. Terra drove a wedge between them

-Both Arashi and Mihawk go out together a lot these days and many suspect that there could be more to their relationship especially since Mihawk helped them a lot.

-Mihawk paid back the debt he owes to the Roronoas who saved him during his own struggles.

-Enma, Kitetsu and Wado are Zoro's cousins in this verse and they are all famous actors

-Grandma Roronoa is a top actress and Grandpa Roronoa is a singer and actor.

-Grandpa Roronoa passed away a year before Zoro's birth

-Grandma Roronoa always makes rice balls for the kids, especially Zoro and even taught Sanji how to make them

-The reason Zoro did not become like his mum or worse is thanks to Mihawk and Boa Hancock who serves as his lawyer and is now his new manager

-Some aspects of Zoro's life mirrors Arashi's in a lot of ways and also Mihawk's too as both father figures had turbulent relationships with one abusive parent.Arashi had a toxic relationship with his dad and Mihawk had to separate himself from his mother

-The Roronoa/Dracule family all live under the same roof. Zoro started living on his own once he turned 18.

- Sora and their kids plus Zoro’s other friends and their families are considered part of their family
