canada x lotr brainworms from the month of march have set in and so I bring to you... lord of the rings ice hockey au:

• aragorn legolas and gimli are this mvp undefeated attacking string

• they're also kind of unbearable, aragorn is captain and is dating arwen aka the best figureskater to come out of BC in living memory

• boromir and faramir are the top line defence partnership, but their dad (the coach) is awful and faramir really wants to quit

• eowyn is the keeper. with enough padding on nobody knows she's a girl, which is good because there hasn't been a girl's league in town since her uncle stopped coaching because his old injuries got too bad

• the plot (such as there is one) is that the club is out of funds and so they start running little league for the hobbits to pay the bills

• shit gets way too real with denethor and the title race, theoden steps in to coach the final

• they use the prize money to set up a queer inclusive league so that eowyn can finally play defence like she wanted and faramir can finally come out as trans like she wanted and together they can welcome frodo and sam to the league proper

• running background bets are on whether legolas and gimli are hooking up after practice or not and which one of them aragorn is going to snap and kill one day

Self, Job/Work: Honestly I'm super happy to talk about anything like this! With all my social links on my pinned posts it wouldn't be too difficult to find out a lot of stuff about me and my life anyway! Baggishield/Tolkien, Dragon Age, Johnlock/Sherlock, ineffable spouses, other fandom: Okay so while I enjoy all of these fandoms, and more besides, I get real single-minded about my special interests. Right now it's Bagginshield, and that's really all my brain has room for! OC's: I would genuinely loooove to talk about my OCs, so very much! As I said above, bagginshield is really my main focus right now, but I have two half-written original novels that I really hope to pluck up the courage to share one day. Honestly I would love so much to have the opportunity to talk about them more here, but I know there's not a lot of interest. Folks are here for the bagginshield stuff, and that's totally fair! But, I'm going to write these stories either way and I really would love any excuse to gush about them and my OCs! art/drawing: I don't draw, I'm afraid! I wish I did, I'm always in so much awe of people who have that skill! I paint a bit, but not often and just for fun, and it's always some weird abstract stuff, haha! your writing: Love to talk about writing! I'm fairly crafty so I've done pottery, sewing, jewellery making, painting as I mentioned, a bit of knitting, etc. I also used to have my own small business, running a perfumery, so I've made all sorts of bathing products, soaps, bath salts, candles, etc! Fandoms: Bagginshield, for sure. I'm starting to think I should just go ahead and read LOTR, but I haven't yet. I suggest you do engage with the canons for Good Omens and Stranger Things, because they're pretty good canons (despite current revelations regarding the co-creator and showrunner of the former).

OC's (I don't have OCs- well, none that didn't just serve their purpose in whatever fic I need them for), art/drawing (I've done some of that- tagged "lotus0kid art" if you're interested, there might be new stuff coming since I leaped bodily on that steep Clip Studio sale a bit ago), their writing (sure, I can probably yammer all day about writing, my own or the concept), blog specific only (I'm not sure what this means)

Garden and Hobbies: My current icon is a picture of my itty bitty succulent that budded off a bigger succulent a while ago. Another bud is coming off that bigger succulent- I'm waiting for the stem to be long enough to cut so I can plant it on its own. That's all the gardening I do currently. And fanfiction is basically my main hobby, aside from occasional art stuff (*eyes stalled embroidery project guiltily*). Maybe cooking too, I think certain aspects transcend the "chore" category, like the opposite of the way my art pursuits can feel a bit chore-ish.

Self: I'm Estethell, shortened to Este, and I'm Italian. I'm 31 years old, I live with a partner and I have two cats and a turtle as children. I have a great passion for fantasy and history, I read a lot of books, I really like to draw and I collect Tamagotchi. Once upon a time my secret dream was to become a professional designer, now I aspire to become a programmer!

Job/Work: I recently finished a training to become a programmer and now I'm looking for a job. For the rest I'm busy as a housewife at home 😂

Pets: My kids!! I have two female cats, Pixel and Ginger, both European cat race.

Pixel is special because she is brown tabby with a white chest but has a completely orange paw, it looks like she stole it from another cat LOL! She is very snobbish so we call her "the noble". She is quite independent so she is not very sociable. Now she has two year at September.

Ginger is a big orange cat, very lively and always running around the house. She scares easily but is very sociable. She has a difficult history behind her. She was a rabid cat who was found stuck in an abandoned house when she was pregnant, she had no way to feed herself. A friend of mine took her in, cared for her, gave birth and then when it was possible she had both the mother and the kittens adopted. And Ginger became my daughter 💖 I don't know how old Ginger is, but she arrived at our house at the end of January.

Hegel is a sternotherus odoratus turtle, she is twelve years old and has a really funny little face. He was a Christmas present from my sister because I wanted a water turtle and since then I have always taken care of her

Garden and Hobbies: Unfortunately, I'm not very good at taking care of plants so I don't do gardening. My main hobbies are reading, drawing, playing video games, watching funny videos and eating sweets (is that a hobby???)

I do like Tolkien, The Hobbit, Bagginshield, and LOTR. I don't really have strong opinions on ships and will consume whatever floats my interest for that fandom. (Haven't gotten into Silmarillion yet.)

Although I have seen quite a bit of Sherlock, I wouldn't consider myself an active member of the fandom. I would passively consume it if I happened upon it.

Other fandoms I'm into would be Big Wolf on Campus, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Revolutionary Girl Utena, The Almighty Johnsons, Sailor Moon, Young Hercules... Critical Role (tho I'm very behind in C3). Probably others I can't think of right now.
