To start with, I'd like to highlight the beautiful art piece you created to show off Artemis' bag. Not her school bag pseudo-weapon because that's just got all of her textbooks and was found in the Room of Requirement her first night at Hogwarts. No, what she considers hers is her legside bag.

💐What is the legside bag?

A gift from both her cousin and guardian, Leto Gavin, and his best friend Kierston Wells, as congratulations into getting into Hogwarts. A brown, leather legside bag with belts for both her hips and thigh. A silver latch resides on the front, etched with the symbols of an English Oak leaf and kinmokusei (golden osmanthus).

💐What's special about the bag, factually speaking?

It's specially commissioned to the Pilot Program - an unique program within the Ministry that has a team mixed with Curse-Breakers, Aurors, and a Healer, designed to tackle high-level, secret missions all around the world.

It also contains multiple charms, such as an Undetectable Extension Charm (Ministry-sanctioned, however, was powered up outside of Ministry knowledge by the team lead), Impervius so it won't get wet, and an Anti-Theft Charm where without a password, it'll zap the thief's fingers. Think when you're shocked when touching a staticy jumper, but at least ten times worse.

💐What all fits in there?

The question at this point is what doesn't fit in there.

Artemis has her almost bursting Healer's Kit, almost as equally full Potions' kit, a Muggle First Aid kit, and even her whole Moon Trimmer broom in for the big items. Each kit also has Extension Charms placed for more storage, and really the only reason she's able to carry at least 14 different types of Healing potions and varied dosage numbers for each.

💐Is there anything that's significant to her?

A few items:

Her grimoire, also a present from Leto and Kierston. A black leather tome, etched with the same English Oak leaf and kinmokusei as the legside bag's latch.

Said grimoire contains the Love's Letters - enchanted parchment that's designed to absorb any written or drawn message to the corresponding, connected parchment. Think Voldemort's diary but no soul in there doing unpaid labor. As of January 1891, it's only connected to Leto and Kierston.

One set (3 individual pieces) of obsidian throwing knives, a secret present from Kierston. Bronze runes that write Pertho & Algiz are etched into the blade itself. Artemis isn't sure if this is just for artistic design or there's something more at this point.

One (1) wooden spoon carved with buttercup flowers. A gift from Henry Price, her Muggle, childhood best friend. It keeps her steady and anchored during emotionally charged moments.

💐Does she overpack?

Artemis would correct you and say that she is simply well-prepared. In addition to the above, she carries:

a spare set of clothes,

a spare set of her uniform (trousers ver.),

approximate 45 white hairpins, 4 of which are pre-bent for lock-picking purposes, especially for Anti-Unlocking Charm locks,

a small jar of dried green apples,

a half-finished box of Fizzing Whizbees,

a couple quills, ink bottles, two rolls of parchment, and

a coin pouch with a sensible amount of money.

💐Is she a hoarder?

Considering her bag, surprisingly no. She just tends to carry around what's most important and what may be immediately needed.

being an adult means we can buy or make as much self-indulgent shit (as we can afford) and unironically have trinkets of our fave things cause our teen years was bullied for liking things and hiding/denying we were ever neurodivergent to the point of suicide. sucks for anyone that thinks its weird cringe but I'm going to try and allow myself to love myself in little ways now

The entrance scene to Lady Danbury’s ball is one of my most favourite scenes from Season 3 because there’s so many little details, and interesting tidbits that show the dynamics between these characters beautifully.

But I feel like a lot of these small but important details are missed, simply because this scene is a really quick one. So, let me breakdown some of my personal favourite bits from this scene:

Starting with, Anthony entering, proudly with his Viscountess on his arm. His head is held high and there’s even a spring in step. He’s so freaking happy to be walking in with Kate!!

But, besides being Kate’s proud husband, he’s also Francesca’s worrisome big brother and so he turns around check on her and when he sees that she’s feeling apprehensive, he holds her hand and tucks it into the crook of his elbow to remind her that he’s right beside her, to support her

While, Anthony comforts Francesca, Kate keeps the attention off them by dealing with all the polite courtesies and by complimenting Lady Danbury’s skills as a hostess.

Which distracts Lady Danbury from Anthony and Francesca long enough to preen at her Ball and also gives Anthony another convenient reason to keep falling deeper in love with his wife

Benedict and Colin are on their best behaviour because they are in Kate’s direct line of sight and she’s smiling sweetly at them and they absolutely will not be the reason she’s disappointed.

And for once, Violet Bridgerton is simply looking forward to a Ball

"the apache" was a dance fad that started around the 1910s, predating swing, but that influenced swing's moves, especially the aerial ones, and was meant to aesthetically simulate a physical domestic dispute. the advanced versions were almost indistinguishable from a professional wrestling match. this is one of the most athletic versions i've seen, it was filmed in 1937 so the dance had had time to mature in technique. the feats of strength being performed by the female partner especially are breathtaking (she wins btw)

Fright Knight sighs, running a clawed hand through his hair in an attempt to stop the flames from flickering into being. It had been far too long since he had taken a human-ish form. His human-ish form. Ugh. He didn’t exactly care for his human form after so long as a ghost, but needs must he supposed. 

Especially with the whole, we’re going to punch a backdoor into the literal daycare part of the Infinite Realms and be surprised when literal toddlers go exploring. 

Well, at least it got him off of guard duty for a bit, which was relieving. Not that he didn’t love the darkness, but it got boring in the shadow of his sword for literal centuries with nothing else happening. He was a warrior for Realm’s sake! Borderline an Ancient in both power and age! He wasn’t meant to stay so still for so long. 

So while ghostling wrangling wasn’t exactly in his area of expertise, he could definitely gather them back up to the Realms. And deal with the curs who had decided to attack literal babies. 

The Daycare area was already understaffed due to just how large it was, and the one in charge of this section had practically sobbed to the Council (In another world they would have been put on hold for a century in line for their concerns, and then more once a Sarcophagus was opened, but they had told the other ghosts in distress, causing others to let them go up in said line) how they were almost certain they had felt at least one core form Outside the realms thanks to the breach. 

Which had understandably put everyone at an uproar. 

So here he was slipping between shadows to do reconnaissance and take stock of if any Ghostlings had left the city. And gently scruffing those he comes across in exasperation because what are you doing, ghostling? Look at the mess, what would your caretaker say?
