Numbing The Pain (or: everyone gets knocked unconscious :D) [Ninjago]
Soooo.... I kinda wrote a oneshot based on a headcannon by @jinxed-ninjago. I haven't really ever shown my writing to others, so we'll see how it goes. >:)
Cw: injuries, numbness, electrical injury and violence, uhhhhh... Overall angst?
In Jay’s opinion, being injured was less than preferable, for a number of reasons. Being stuck on bedrest every second of every day. Not being able to join the others for dinner as he listened to the laughter and joking echoing down the hall while he stared at the tray of food resting in his lap.
It wasn’t the other ninja’s fault he was lonely, he just really wished he didn’t have to stay in bed all the time. On the bright side though, he got to play video games all day, and he got out of the usual work to maintain the monastery. After all, nothing like the power of positive thinking!
It was a stupid injury. Why were legs so breakable?
They’d been training, like usual. He didn’t remember much, but he recalled being hit by something, then waking up to his leg in a cast and Cole apologizing profusely.
Apparently, Cole had accidentally lost control of his powers, and hit Jay with a boulder, causing him to land on top of Kai, unconscious.
He didn’t blame Cole though. He knew as well as anyone what it was like to lose control. It made him think of when they used to fight over Nya, as Cole had apologized. It was strange how far they’d come from that.
A sudden crash startled him out of his thoughts. More followed after that, banging and thudding and shouting. He heard the others rushing to meet the cacophony, and resisted the urge to leap out of bed and join them. They could handle it without him, and he’d (grudgingly) promised to stay put.
The sounds of fighting resounded through the room, and he grit his teeth. They’d be fine. He wondered what the heck was attacking them this time. The serpentine again? Nindroids? Maybe Garmadon had somehow come back again and was attacking? Some other random villain they’d never even heard of before? The questions raced through his mind like a river as he listened to the combat growing closer.
Abruptly, his thoughts were once again interrupted as Cole was thrown through the air, crashing against the wall beside him and crumpling as his yell broke off upon impact.
“COLE!!” Jay screamed as he slumped to the floor. “Hey, I already passed out this week! Don’t tell me you’re stealing my thunder,” he tried to mask his wrangled nerves with humor, but Cole didn’t answer.
“Oookay, so this is bad,” he mumbled to himself shakily as he considered his options. He could sit here and listen as the rest of his family was potentially defeated and/or hurt. He could try to help Cole (who hadn’t stirred yet but that was fine it’d be fine) somehow, without injuring himself more. Or, he could ignore his stupid broken leg and the pain that would undoubtedly follow, and go help them fight.
As he debated, Zane decided to join the party and hurtled into the room, landing on top of Cole. As his motion stilled, Jay gasped and held back a second scream as he took in the damage.
Half of Zane’s face looked as if it had been chewed on by a large, feral dog, ripped apart and unveiling the robotic parts underneath. One of his arms was missing, and there were open gouges displaying sparking circuits and wires, making sharp buzzing sounds. His eyes flickered as he spoke.
“S-system-m mal- mal-function- circuits-s ove-er loadd-ded-” his voice glitched before his eyes went dark and his body still.
Jay stared, open-mouthed, before he made a decision. Jolting upright, he leapt to his feet. Or at least tried to. As soon as any tension was put onto his foot, instant agony engulfed him, and he collapsed back onto the bed. Clenching his jaw tightly, he breathed through the pain as it slowly subsided the tiniest bit.
“C’mon Jay… You can do this!” he said, voice wavering, before trying again.
The pain was worse this time. His teeth grated against each other as his breathing became labored, but he managed to keep his footing this time. White hot knives felt like they were slicing up his leg, eventually getting so bad that it went numb.
“Well. That’s not good,” he said to the empty air as his voice quivered more. It still hurt, but now more like pins and needles gently poking him. Within a few more seconds, a lot of the feeling in his leg subsided, but he couldn’t stand any longer. Sagging against the bed, he slid to the floor. Now that he was off his foot, it started throbbing, making spots cloud his vision for a moment.
As he looked across the room at Zane and Cole (both still unresponsive, but at least Cole’s chest was rising and falling), an idea struck him.
“Huh… circuits… nerve circuits,” he said out loud as the idea developed. Sure, it was a very very stupid idea and could very well lead to bad results. But desperate times called for desperate measures, and by the First Master he wasn’t going to stand by! The shouting had intensified in volume, and he could make out the panicked voices of the other ninja. Besides, he and the others joked that his second elemental power was stupid ideas. That was his thing!
Mind still fuzzy from the aching torture he’d experienced moments before, he remembered Zane once infodumping about how nerves operated on electrical signals from the brain, and that when overloaded, could be numbed to pain (wow, he’d actually remembered that! See, he did pay attention, Kai).
Well. He was the master of lightning and therefore electricity after all.
“Oh boy. I’m definitely getting yelled at later for this,” he said under his breath as he closed his eyes and focused.
How was he going to do this? Could he even do this? Was it possible to shock himself? He’d never tried before, but had been shocked by other lightning on occasion.
He thought about it as he concentrated on his power. Using his element was like sneezing; almost instinctual, quick, and slightly jarring, pushing it outside of himself. So… he’d have to reverse that. Ignoring the feeling in his gut that this was going to be very terrible, he shoved the growing anxiety down.
Taking a slow, deep breath, he imagined he was inhaling electricity as well as oxygen, and it being distributed through his nerves.
A slight tingling sensation started circulating throughout his body, and he tried it again.
A blue glow emanated from him for a second behind his eyelids, sparking.
Then everything stopped.
The throbbing hadn’t just faded away. It was completely gone. Abruptly and instantly. And it wasn’t just the throbbing either; all feeling was absent. As he opened his eyes, he discovered that he couldn’t feel his clothes rubbing against his skin, the cold floor he was sitting on, the air stirring around him; it was all gone.
“Was this how Cole felt when he was a ghost?” Jay wondered, marveling at the numbness (and slightly panicking. He desperately hoped this could be reversed later).
Getting to his feet, this time without the agony part of it, he glanced back at his unconscious brothers one last time, then sprinted out the door and down the hallway, ignoring the way his foot crunched with every footfall. Doors blurred past him as he followed the sound of voices, now reduced to an alarmingly quiet level. There was no commotion anymore, sound just as absent as sensation. He drew nearer, then skidded around a corner and out into the training yard to observe the devastation that had transpired.
Wooden practice dummies had been splintered and broken apart, scattered everywhere. Sparring targets and weapons had been mutilated, somehow embedded into the walls and ground like shrapnel. Burn and scorch marks littered the scene, a part of the monastery wall crumbling. The sky was a deep gray, casting long shadows.
About thirty enemies were scattered around, standing at attention with their backs to Jay and seemingly waiting for something. Or someone. They wore dark, blood red kasas that cast their faces into shadow, obscuring them. White robes accented with blacks and oranges flowed around them, with brass cuffs wrapped around their wrists. Glowing gold fire designs engraved into the cuffs were arranged artistically to resemble flames wrapping around each other. Sleek black, braided hair fell down to their waists, with vivid, fiery ribbons interwoven into them. He guessed they were all female warriors. They stared straight ahead, toward the gate and eerily motionless. The voices he had followed were whispers, drifting and tangling with each other in the air and incomprehensible. It made the hair stand up on the back of his neck, but he shook it off.
Frantically, he cast his gaze around the yard, until he finally spotted the others. They were all dumped over in the corner, bodies splayed across the ground and faces contorted with pain, yet their eyes were closed and they all lay inert. After studying them for a moment, he noted with relief that they were all breathing.
Rage boiled inside of him, and his face hardened.
No one. Did. That. To the people he loved.
He turned back to the warriors spaced around the yard that still had not moved, hardly noticing the electricity starting to spark around his hands.
His emotions felt amplified. Stronger. His fury grew, consuming every other thought in his mind.
He started vibrating as the neon static spread from his hands to circulate and jerk around his body, intertwining ropes of blinding blues and whites.
Lightning flashed around his feet as he took slow, deliberate steps.
Finally, the enemies turned, and instantly and simultaneously crouched into fighting stances, raising various weapons.
Too bad for them, that did nothing but amplify the surge he finally let loose.
Sharp, blue-white cords arced toward each opponent, turning the air white and scorching. No sound escaped them as one by one, the strands of lightning hit them, causing their bodies to convulse. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw movement from the direction of the others, but paid no heed.
He ignored the way his body was steaming, and searched deeper as the unfortunate warriors still spasmed, unable to move and leave the current that he was feeding. There was no way he could stop now. He’d opened a door, and a thousand-pound waterfall had come gushing out.
He searched deeper still, disregarding the horrifying scene as he tapped into the energy stored within himself that he had put there in the first place.
Instinctively, hardly acknowledging what he was doing, he wrapped it into a twisted, contorted ball, then pushed everything out.
When it finally ran out, satiated, the air returned to normal.
Thuds echoed around the now-silent training yard, as each female warrior crumpled and hit the ground, steam spiraling from their clothes and skin.
Everything was bleached white, except for a small circle around the other ninja, where they lay untouched.
Nya was propped up on her arms, head lifted to gaze at Jay. He couldn’t tell what emotion it portrayed. There was admiration, and affection. But fear and horror was also painted across her face, and it pained him to know that he was the reason for it. She started to stand up, but Jay couldn’t think anymore.
Feeling had come back.
Everywhere was in excruciating anguish. His hands and arms were burned, with protruding raised zigzags of scorched skin beginning to turn red. He stumbled, wincing as he was suddenly very aware of his leg again.
“Nya. I-I’m sorryh…” he trailed off as his knees gave out.
“JAY!” she yelled as she dashed over to him, catching him before his head could hit the ground.
The last thing he remembered was being encircled by her arms as muffled shouts rose up around him. Trusting Nya to take care of him, his eyes shut, and he drifted off into oblivion, chasing away the agony.
Don’t worry, he’ll be fine. Just unconscious :)

I love all ur Lloyd stuff so much omgkmfkmgnfkahdhfb !! Literally all so adorable, and ur writing style too eugdkkfs <3<3
I was jus wondering if mayb you'd be interested in writing a Lloyd x reader during a thunderstorm, but the reader is afraid of loud noises. So they make a blanket fort, surround themselves with stuffed animals, and fall asleep toghr??
You’re too sweet 😭 your wish is my command sugar!!
Word count: 700
Ninjago - Lloyd Comforting You in a Thunderstorm
You frowned at the rolling dark clouds gathering in the sky. You knew what was coming, and you knew you were powerless to prevent it. Hugging yourself with the grip of a grizzly bear, you slumped against the wall beneath the window, gritting your teeth in anticipation.
The sound of your door opening nearly drove the soul from your tense body. It wasn’t the treacherous thundering noise you were dreading, but the little scare did nothing to calm you.
“Sorry,” Lloyd said, shooting you an apologetic look from your doorway. “I didn’t mean to startle you. I have some things here…” He stooped down to pick something up from the floor of the hallway just outside your view. When he straightened himself again, his arms were piled so high with blankets and pillows that you couldn’t see his face. He waddled inside, moving slowly so as not to disturb his towering burden. Then, when he reached the center of the room, he let them all drop to the floor—pompf! You started again.
“Sorry,” Lloyd winced, making his way over to you and placing a gentle hand on your shoulder. “I thought we could make a blanket fort together,” he said, subtly pulling the curtains shut to block out the sight of the storm.
You nodded, but you remained tense against the wall. Lloyd pried one of your hands from its claw-like grip on your upper arm and used it to pull you to your feet. Holding onto your hand, he put his free hand on his hip. “Okay, how are we going to do this?”
Strategizing turned out to be a pretty good distraction; good enough that you almost forgot about the storm brewing outside. Almost. The fist loud crack of thunder sent you diving into the fort, hands over your ears and eyes squeezed shut.
Happy thoughts, calm thoughts, happy thoughts, you repeated to yourself, but somehow that only made you more anxious.
You opened your eyes when you felt something soft land in your lap. You looked down to see your favorite plush toy resting on your legs. Another appeared at your side. And another. And another. And another until you were surrounded by your fluffy buddies. With no more room directly around you, Lloyd took to placing the remaining plushes in various places around the fort.
You couldn’t help but smile at the cozy sight as you hugged your favorite plush close to your chest.
“There it is,” Lloyd beamed, triumphant in his goal of comforting you.
He moved a few plushies so that he could sit next to you, a fluffy blanket draped over your backs. He pulled your head onto his shoulder and planted a kiss on your crown.
Your relaxed demeanor was again disrupted by another boom from the storm, but this time Lloyd was right there. He pulled you in closer. “It’s okay. We’re safe here.”
You sighed, leaning into his touch. “I know,” you whispered into the crook of his neck.
Whenever the thunder harassed you, Lloyd would drive your anxiety away with a gentle touch and whispered words of reassurance. “We’re okay. I’ve got you. Just hold on to your plushie.”
Soon enough the noise ceased to bother you; you were entirely absorbed in the downpour of affection from your boyfriend. That and the therapeutic softness of the plushies in your arms and around you. The storm ended, and you remained as you were. Neither of you noticed, but even if you had, you both still would’ve stayed in that fort, your private sanctuary in the midst of turmoil.
As the hours ticked by, drowsiness began to burden you both. Lloyd spoke no more, now only petting you in slow, sleepy strokes. You slumped from your position against his side, your head falling in his lap as your heavy eyelids closed. You were roused only briefly when Lloyd repositioned himself. He pulled you onto his chest and tucked the blanket over you both. You nuzzled into the heat from his body, sighing dreamily. The sound of his heartbeat was like a steady drum counting you off to sleep. Soon enough you were both in dreamland, no doubt dreaming of each other.

Earth Dragon of the First Realm heacanons/lore part 5
Tumblr media
A group of Primordial Earth Dragons is often referred to as a crash, and for good reason, too. Various tales in the mountainous regions of the First Realm are of deafening roars that can rival volcanic eruptions and crash thunder that looms in the distance. When in reality it's often Earth Dragon's engaging in ritualistic combat for events and celebrations.
Earth Dragons are often considered to be the strongest of the Primordial Dragons, in legends of old their steps are said to make the ground tremble and quake. Their tails reflecting the great jagged boulders that get dislodged by rockslides or carved by water. If there was a kin blessed by the Strength Source Dragon- it would be the Primordial Earth Dragons and those that came after.
Even more social than Fire Dragons, you will often find at least one Earth Dragon in a mixed flock or in a crash of up to ten to twelve members. Often lead by the eldest female or male, how one can tell the age of a Primordial Earth Dragon is by the size of its horns and tusks. The larger the tusks and horns, the more old it is.
Leadership is often passed in a non-combative way down to those who the crash leader deems fit, for they will wait the suitor to become capable of leading the crash one they are not able to. Most leaders do not want those who respond with violence. They want those who respond with what they feel is right in their gut.
While it is not the best way to tell, there will often be a substantial age gap between Earth Dragons who are able to use magma as an offensive/defensive capability. They can tap into the powers of magma and coat their front limbs with it. As a result, not only does their breath change from a blast of sand and dirt that can petrify anything on contact with the air, but their breath changes to lava.
Some Earth Dragons of different realms have become one with the magma and lava however. Rockslide for example has become one with it, the lava cracks amongst his eyes prove that he had sworn to the very heat from volcanoes. No longer able to use the petrification breath other Earth Dragons are able to use, like Slab for example- though he is able to tap into the magma.
However, these are only used in dire situation and specific ceremonies. One of those, being the passing of a Earth Dragon. Particularly a crash leader. Earth Dragons will create a miniature volcano or egg sort of structure then fill it with lava from their forelimbs and breath, poking holes on the outside to let the lava pour out. This done to symbolize how the cycle of death and life is a constant, how volcanoes will form new land and the moving plates within the earth will change it over time. Additionally, its to prove that the soul is eternal, just like the heat within volcanoes despite the damage done to the mortal body. (The Earth Wyvern in the Monastery of Spinjitzu, named Rockslide - is of this belief).
During the reign of Iron Baron, Fire Dragons and Earth Dragons saw the most overhunting. Fire Dragons for their ability to create the perfect weapons with pure flames and Earth Dragons for entertainment, tusks horns and spines. Slab was named by Iron Baron himself, caught after attempting to save Ultra Dragon. However, he was the reason Stormbringer and her son managed to escape Dead's End after he went on a rampage, yet was ultimately restrained and thrown into the pit where he would later need to fight against many a hunter.
He would later be the one to ferry Cole, the Earth Ninja home to Ninjago and engage in combat against the Oni Colossus with Nomad the Gasher.

RETURN OF THE ENEMY (Ninjago fan season between season4 and 5 with Sensei G.)
EPISODS 3-A DREAM
EPISODE 4- REGRETS AND DESIRES
After learning the shocking truth, Nya knows what to do, but it seems that Mystake has another plan. Ninja finally find a possible way to save Kai and Skylor.
"My mother was the Master of Water." Nya repeated in shock.
"Yes, don't faint again!" Mistake said, pressing another handkerchief to her forehead.
"I..." Nya said with a sigh.
"I thought they told you." Mistake explained to her. "Because you are needed."
"I can be needed as Samurai X." Nya protested. She honestly understood little of what Mistake was saying.
"Samurai X cannot control water." Mistake stood up and looked at Nya. "Nor can she do the other things ninjas do. Remember Nya, you are needed."
"What does that mean?" Nya sighed again. "What do you know about what's happening?"
"I know everything, yet I know nothing." Mistake replied. "You are needed, Nya. Ninjago and beyond need a water ninja."
"But I'm not a water ninja," Nya said desperately. "And I don't want to be."
"You're not a ninja. But you will become one. Even if not here and not now." Mistake said, clenching her fists. "We have much to do."
"I have to go help Garmadon and Misako," Nya said, standing up decisively. "And the guys!"
"First, you have to listen to me." Mistake said, gesturing for her to follow.
~~~~~~
"I don't think this is a good idea," Cole repeated as they descended.
"We have no choice," Lloyd sighed.
"We really don't," Sanfungol confirmed. He didn't quite resemble Zane, but it was better than nothing. Certainly better than...
"Lightning! Lightning!" Dareth shouted, mimicking the sounds of thunder.
"Shh." Lloyd put a finger to his lips. "The less you two talk, the less chance there is of getting caught."
"Are you..." Cole began, but the guards interrupted him.
"STOP!" they shouted, quickly surrounding the ninjas.
"Here are my favorite guests!" Chen yelled as the guards carried him to the throne.
"You act like a king, Chen," Cole said glumly. "Where is Kai?"
"And what do you want with him and Skylor?" Lloyd added sternly.
"I want to have fun," Chen replied cheerfully, sinking deeper into the throne. "And why are these two silent?"
"Because they have no need to speak," Cole snapped before Dareth and Sanfungol could say anything.
"What are you trying to do, Chen?" Lloyd asked. "This time, you won't easily steal the elemental powers!"
"I've given up on my grand plans," Chen said unconvincingly. "I just want to have fun."
"How did you come back?" Cole clenched his fists.
"Blah blah blah," Chen rolled his eyes. "Questions are boring. Let the fun begin!"
"We're here for Kai and Skylor!" Cole shouted angrily. "Not for fun."
"But that's the point, earth ninja," Chen said with a slight smile. "Choose one among yourselves. And let him dare to pass through this room here! If he succeeds, you have Kai and Skylor."
"How can we trust you?" Lloyd frowned.
"I don't think you have a choice," Chen shrugged. "Did I mention that if you don't leave this room quickly enough, you will lose your sanity?"
"Who will go?" Cole snapped as all four of them huddled together in a circle.
"I'll go," Lloyd said decisively.
"No way!" Cole countered.
"I am a leader," Lloyd reminded him.
"Exactly." Cole pressed his lips together. "We need you, and I'll handle whatever is in there!"
"I'm going," Lloyd insisted. "I’m the green ninja."
"As you wish," Cole sighed reluctantly. "We’re behind you!"
"I know," Lloyd smiled and looked at Chen. "I'm going!"
~~~~~~
"How is this possible?" Nya asked when they entered a room full of maps.
"What?" Mistake absentmindedly asked as she searched for some things.
"Everything about Chen..." Nya peeked over Mistake's shoulder.
"There are possibilities of a spirit returning from the Cursed Realms." Mistake said.
"But Chen isn't..." Nya began, but Mistake interrupted her.
"But there is a way for both spirit and body to return!" Mistake took a map and showed it to Nya.
"I don't understand anything." Despite that, Nya admired the map.
"Listen. This is the Kingdom of the Six Duchies, or rather, it now has seven duchies, but it doesn’t matter. It is located across the sea."
"Why don't we know much about it if it's very close?" Nya asked curiously.
"We are in the same realm, but they, along with a few other kingdoms, keep to themselves, while we keep to ourselves. We aren’t quite alike, but we’re not that different either."
"Does Chen have anything to do with this?" Nya frowned.
"Yes, as I told you. Exactly two weeks after being exiled, a ritual can be performed that frees the exiled souls." Mistake pointed to a specific spot on the map.
"As you can see, it can only be done in a special place, which is located in the Six Duchies."
"Has anyone ever tried that?" Nya looked at the map in confusion. "And that means..."
"Yes, many have tried, but they failed. It is very difficult to carry out." Mistake said, putting the map away. "Not just anyone can do it.
Someone very powerful and cunning. Someone who needs Chen and his army."
"But who could that be?" Nya felt the pressure rising. The situation was serious.
"Anyone." Mistake exhaled. "And Chen has been free for some time, devising a plan..."
"And someone is with him." Nya finished.
"Probably." Mistake said as she exited the room.
"The Chen doesn't plan the same thing again, right?" Nya said while following Mistake.
"No." Mistake said decisively. "That’s why you need to bring us Skylor. And after that, probably Misako. Actually, for sure."
"But who first?" Nya quietly asked. "We know that Misako and Garmadon are captured."
"It will be difficult to do anything there." Mistake said sadly, looking firmly at Nya.
"But..." Nya protested.
"We need both of them. Garmadon to train you, and Misako for information." Mistake interrupted.
"And they are part of our family." Nya noted.
"Let’s hope for the best." Mistake said, looking sharply into Nya's eyes. "You have to bring us ninjas and Skylor."
"How do you know they are in trouble?" Nya asked worriedly.
"I just know." Mistake cut off Nya's questions and looked away. Nya did not waste another second.
~~~~~
"Green ninja, how cute!" Chen laughed. "Come on in."
Lloyd slowly walked to the room, with Cole, Dareth, and Sanfungol anxiously standing behind him.
As he entered the room, he felt a cold breeze envelop him. Soon, the dark room became bright.
Inside, Lloyd saw images. Images he didn’t remember—pictures from his childhood with his parents.
"Welcome to the room of your greatest regrets and desires," a voice said, and Lloyd turned around to find no one there.
"My greatest regrets and desires..." Lloyd whispered, continuing to gaze at the scenes of his childhood.
“Why…” Then he immediately realized. They were so happy—he and his parents—and he remembered nothing.
He watched the images of his mom and dad playing with him, tears welling in his eyes.
Simple little things. Cooking with his parents, drawing with them, going to the park. How they hugged him...
"That’s not a part of me. That’s not me... I don’t remember anything from before my fifth year... Before Darkly's." Lloyd said, distressed.
For a while, tears streamed down Lloyd's face, and then he felt himself slowly becoming part of those images...
He drowned in memories that weren't even his... How wonderful it would be to live in those days again.
To be a normal child once more. To be a kid. To grow up with parents.
"...if you don't leave this room quickly enough, you will lose your sanity.." He felt the voice echoing in his head.
"I have to go," Lloyd said, slowly passing through the room.
He wanted to stay so badly... He would give anything to remain. But he was stronger than that.
"Kai!" he shouted as he stepped out. He found himself in a cold dungeon. There were no guards.
"Lloyd?" he heard two voices at once.
"Wait," Lloyd said and grabbed the nearest torch. His eyes were still red.
It was frighteningly dark. To his relief, he found a key on the floor and unlocked Kai and Skylor.
Could it be that Chen kept his promise?
"Lloyd, how?" Kai looked at him in awe.
"Are you..." Skylor began, but Lloyd interrupted her.
"We have to go. Quickly! The question is how long Chen will pretend to keep his word."
~~~~~~
"Zane, Jay!" Nya shouted as she descended with her Samurai X to the guys.
"Nya!" Jay yelled, rushing to her.
"What’s going on?" Nya looked confused. "Where are they..."
"Down with Dareth and Sanfungol, who are pretending to be us," Zane tried to explain to her.
"Dareth and who?" Nya asked.
"We don’t have time!" Zane shouted. "I see Kai and Skylor with them, but Chen's soldiers won’t let them go."
"Let’s go!" Nya shouted, jumping into her Samurai X suit.
~~~~~~
"You’re not going anywhere!" the guards shouted.
"You promised," Lloyd said, grinding his teeth.
"And you weren’t supposed to pass through that room!" Chen pulled. "The guards..."
"It's over, Chen!" Nya yelled, diving down.
"Samurai X?" Chen looked at her confused. "Weren’t you in a monastery..."
"How do you know?" Kai asked.
"Run! I’ll hold them back!" Nya shouted. Everyone began to flee as Nya held off the guards.
Zane and Cole greeted them and helped them climb up without obstruction.
Once everyone got out, Sanfungol sealed the entrance to the underground passages.
"I’ll freeze it!" Zane stopped Sanfungol.
"No, this has a different mechanism!" Sanfungol replied, starting to fiddle with the entrance.
"There, that should do it. We should have some time..."
"Did you find any help, Nya?" Lloyd asked.
"Unfortunately, they’re all unavailable," Nya sighed.
"Who is unavailable?" Skylor asked.
"The elemental masters," Jay explained to her. "Do you think Chen..."
"Possible," Skylor sighed.
"Let's go to the Mystake tea shop," Nya said. "We can’t waste time."
"I’ve had enough ninja adventures for today," Dareth smiled. "I’m going!"
"Do I have your permission to go with you?" Sanfungol politely asked. Lloyd frowned slightly at this.
"You've proven yourself an ally," Cole said, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"If you claim to be a friend, we trust you!" Zane added. "Let’s go!"
"Wait!" Lloyd said, and everyone froze. "Any information about Sensei Wu and my parents?"
"Wu has gone beyond the Ninjago," Nya said seriously. "Mystake assumes to a place where the ritual was performed to bring Chen and his army back."
"Where is that?" Zane asked.
"We don’t have time right now," Nya shook her head. "Mystake will explain everything."
"And where's Clouse?" Jay remembered. "We haven’t seen him."
"My parents, Nya?" Lloyd anxiously asked. He had a feeling something was wrong.
"Clouse has been spying on us with a mechanical spider," Nya began.
"What!" everyone exclaimed in surprise.
"He knew Misako and Garmadon were going to the docks and captured them..." Nya struggled to finish the last sentence as she watched Lloyd's expression change.
"We have to save them!" Lloyd said firmly.
"I'm sorry." Nya sighed sadly. "We need to go to Mystake first."
"Why?" Kai interrupted. "We go for them, then to Wu."
"Because we need to understand what my father is planning," Skylor interjected. "I know I'm not authorized to tell you this.
They’re all your family... but first, we must hear what Mystake has to say, and then we go for them!"
"That's right, Lloyd," Sanfungol said, placing a hand on Lloyd's shoulder. "Don't worry kid. We will go for them as soon as possible, and it will be quick."
"Thank you." Lloyd smiled slightly. His distrust of Sanfungol was somewhat fading.
When he looked closer at his face, he could see fine, well-hidden wrinkles. His face could be in its fifties.
"Then let's not waste any more time!" Kai said, and everyone followed him.
"Wait aren't you thinking this was a little too easy?" Zane asked as they ran.
"It won't be easy." Nya reminded him."
"But it feels like they leted us go," Zane explained.
"Actually, you're right." "Lloyd stopped in amazement." Who knows what Chen is planning."
Hello! I have a prompt idea I hope it's not too gory or something:
Kai accidentally harms Lloyd horribly (maybe burned him...?) and Lloyd is traumatised.
Angst with a happy ending
I am so sorry this took so long and I am so sorry if this does not meet what you were looking for. I have been working on this for months.
Ao3 Link:
“I…I kinda need your help and I know I should probably just go back to the monastery and that I’ll probably regret coming to you later but-”
“What is it?” He cut him off with a raised eyebrow and his hand pressed against the doorframe, only to wince when he moved his hand to reveal a significant red, blistering burn that covered most of his arm.
“Kai and I got into a fight.”
Tumblr media
After they had rebuilt the walls of the monastery and the many, many allies aligned with his son made their way back into their city to rebuild the destruction to their own homes, he found himself lingering outside of the walls.
“Master Wu said you could stay here, since the wall of your apartment is kinda, well, gone.”
Even the way he approached the conversation, neutral to the fact that he had caused so much destruction and nearly ruined his life many times, just proved to Garmadon that even if the memories didn’t feel like his own, he had missed vital years of the boy he vaguely remembered growing into the man that stood beside him.
“And you would be okay with that?”
“Well, no, but he’s your brother-”
“Then I refuse to impose,” Garmadon interrupted as he turned to face the young Oni, “after all, it is your home as well. Tell my brother “thank you”, but I will find a place to stay on my own.”
“Fine, do what you want.”
And yet, even though he clearly did not want him to stay, something about the huff of his voice as he turned on his heel reminded Garmadon of their conversation deep in the library of the Serpentine.
“That’s my greatest fear, is that I’ll end up like you! Because you don’t care about anything or anyone!”
“That is not true!”
“Tell me one thing you care about! One thing!” He didn’t have to speak, he simply pulled out the soda can, the one harboring the fern that Vinny had given him, to teach him how to care, to hopefully, one day, repair this very relationship.
But as soon as Lloyd registered what he was trying to say, his eyebrows furrowed and his voice came out in some sort of choked sadness around the yell.
“Plants don’t count! Plants aren’t people! They don’t have feelings! It doesn’t care that you abandoned it, or that you never sent it a birthday card or…or…oh, what’s the point? You’ll never understand.”
“Wait, Lloyd,” he spoke up, waiting until he turned back around with an unreadable expression on his face except for the questioning indicative by his raised eyebrow, “I know that rebuilding will be disorderly to say the least, but when you get a chance, I…I would like to continue speaking to you.”
“You’ve known where I was the whole time.”
“Right,” he let out a breath of air, “then I will try not to disappear again.”
Even when the teenager turned away and closed the door behind him, Garmadon knew that he had done the most he could until someone, probably Vinny, taught him how to actually use a cellphone.
But the door did not slam, so he couldn’t help but consider it a baby step in the right direction.
Even when he moved apartments to one with a nicer interior but noisier neighbors and he finally did get the cellphone number for his son, the last thing Garmadon expected was for Lloyd to come to him first.
It seemed as though every time Lloyd Garmadon had come into his life, the world looked like it was ending if it wasn’t actually in the middle of collapsing around him; this time wasn’t an exception with the violent thunder ringing out across the nearly black sky every few minutes.
And standing in his doorway, with wet blonde hair falling into his eyes and his left hand wrapped loosely around his right wrist, was his teenage son with red-rimmed eyes.
“I…I kinda need your help and I know I should probably just go back to the monastery and that I’ll probably regret coming to you later but-”
“What is it?” He cut him off with a raised eyebrow and his hand pressed against the doorframe, only to wince when he moved his hand to reveal a significant red, blistering burn that covered most of his arm.
“Kai and I got into a fight.”
“Well, that is evident,” he remarked, only to remember exactly who he was talking to and the vague memories of how bad a fight with the overly protective fire ninja had to be for Lloyd to come to him with a burn, but come to him at all, “Vinny has a first aid kit in the bathroom, although I’m not sure how helpful it will be for…this.”
“Thanks.” Lloyd seemingly slumped with a sigh of relief before walking in and giving Garmadon the chance to shut the door, only to realize that Lloyd was already walking into the small bathroom and pulling the first aid kit out from under the cabinet.
“Do you need any help?”
“No, I…I patch myself up a lot.”
“Then you should know that taking the heat out of a burn is the first step.” Garmadon sighed as he took one step into the bathroom and flicked on the cold water before stepping back out to give Lloyd the room to properly treat himself.
They stayed silent for awhile, even though the relentless storm filled the quiet without their help; it wasn’t until the burn had been slathered in ointment and had a strip of gauze taped over it that Lloyd finally sat down on the closed toilet seat and rubbed a hand over his eyes.
“Sorry, about this, I just…” he pulled in a long breath, trying to conceal the tears that were building in his already red eyes, “Kai gets mad and blows up, and I know he’s just worried about me but I can handle myse-”
“You are welcome to stay as long as you need to.”
“I can’t, your roommate-”
“Vinny and I had this conversation after I helped rebuild your monastery, that if you ever needed to stay here and you were comfortable with that idea, the couch is yours. It’s no mattress, but it’s an option-”
“Why are you being nice to me?” Lloyd cut him off this time, and the silence it sent him into made him realize that he had to stop cutting off the teenager whose face matched his when he was much, much younger, “all I’ve done for the last month is yell at you.”
And he so desperately wanted to explain himself, that he remembered a time when he would burn the world down for Lloyd even if that version of himself felt forever out of reach, but he found himself straightening his spine and chalking it up to, “I am working on having compassion.”
“I don’t know how long I’m going to stay.”
“I’ll let Vinny know,” Garmadon insisted before waving a hand to beckon the teenager closer, “let me show you where the linen closet is.”
He was bewildered as he watched the famed Green Ninja, who he could only vaguely remember before he received the moniker below deck in an old pirate ship, carefully and thoroughly pull everything that could begin to resemble a mushroom off of every single piece of pizza he was offered from the box.
“You’re letting it get cold.”
“Cold pizza is better than eating mushrooms.” He shrugged as he moved on to pulling off the onions, making it impossible for Garmadon to stop himself from adding.
“But you are letting the stuffed crust pizza get cold.”
When the fire ninja did show up at his door two days later, his hair damp from the now light rain that was still plaguing Ninjago, Garmadon couldn’t stop himself from glaring at him as he opened the door, unable to stop himself from demanding after he asked if Lloyd was there.
“Who gave you the right, after you burned him?”
“”Who gave me the right?!” The elemental fire in the young adult’s eyes shone brightly with anger as he continued to shout, “it was an accident! I wasn’t the one who abandoned him, or threw him through multiple walls, or told him that he wasn’t my son-!”
“Kai?”
The shouting was instantly quelled and the fire ninja ran in, without any sign of permission, and instantly pulled Lloyd into one of the tightest hugs Garmadon had ever beared witness to; he had to pretend it didn’t send a pang of sadness into his heart when Lloyd wordlessly squeezed just as tight.
“Fuck, Lloyd, I’m so, so sorry.”
“I pissed you off while you were training and was in your line of fire-”
“That’s not an excuse.”
“But it’s an explanation,” Garmadon couldn’t help but wonder if that’s what Lloyd had been telling himself since they had started making an effort to repair their shattered relationship, “I’ll get my stuff real quick and meet you outside.”
Even though he could only see the back of Kai’s head when he nodded, the way he turned on his heel proved that his mouth was fixed in a tight, straight line and waited until Lloyd was out of earshot when he allowed himself to speak again in the form of a threat, “if you fuck this up again, you won’t ever be given another chance from any of us.”
And as the young adult left, it dawned on him as to what had angered him so much that he had accidently hurt his son. ‘He’s worried that I’ll hurt him again.’ The worst part was that Garmadon couldn’t even blame him when he was constantly worried that he was one misstep away from ruining the last chance Lloyd was willing to give him.
But when the boy returned with his freshly washed gi on and his sword strapped to his back, he stopped to look up at him as he awkwardly scratched the back of his head.
“Thank you for letting me stay here, and tell Vinny thanks for letting me borrow his clothes. I really appreciate it.”
“You shouldn’t keep Kai waiting.”
“Right, right, I just…thanks, again.”
But as he turned toward the door, Garmadon couldn’t stop himself from reaching forward and resting a hand on the teenager’s shoulder, receiving a raised eyebrow as he turned which had him pulling back his hand quickly.
“Sorry, I just…do you want pizza next time?”
And the soft chuckle in his words allowed Garmadon to let the tension ease from his shoulders as he spoke, “only if you leave the mushrooms off.”
“Pepperoni pizza it is.”
Let me into your brain about the silly legos (hc’s) - ✧
Tumblr media
IM SO GLAD YOU ASKED ABOUT MY HCS‼️‼️
Idk which Legos you were referring to so I will make a HC post for Ninjago characters since it’s what I’m currently hyperfixating on.
Buckle in for an extremely long post because I am insane. Cutting it to keep it organized for u guys 🫶
So one thing about me is that I love incorporating other people’s headcanons into my own. And sometimes that leads to some contradicting headcanons, so in my little brain I have like, multiple different sets of headcanons for a bunch of different characters while also having My Headcanons, those being the ones I believe in the most/came up with without outside influence. I will be listing My Headcanons, but I type that entire preface to explain why some of my posts might be contradictory of the headcanons I list here 🫶
It’s gonna go like this in no particular order. (The order of how excited I am to share my hcs for them)
Character name- gender/pronouns, sexuality
List of headcanons
——————————————————
General-
Their eye color aligns with their element, they all have their natural eye colors, but after realizing/unlocking their elemental powers, they began to change.
Adding onto the above hc, Kai and Nya's eyes are still pretty dull due to them being like, the last two to realize their powers, while Jay's are extremely bright and vibrant.
Jay- she/they (occasionally he) transfem + gender-fluid, bisexual
Hard of hearing, wears hearing aids. I think the hearing loss has always been there, but I think her elemental power just worsened it, bc you know. Thunder loud.
That being said, I think she was the first to get her elemental powers. I think they got them when she was like, a really really young kid.
Has heterochromia.
Came out as trans like, mid-prime empire.
Has psychosis and suffers from delusions.
Not rlly a Jay hc, but related. Their mom gave them up because she was desperately hoping they wouldn't have an elemental power, but if she did, they'd be near unfindable because she lived through hell and didn't want Jay to have to go through the same.
AuDHD
Nya- she/they transfem nonbinary, bisexual demiromantic
Has a tremor after un-merging with the ocean.
Her and Kai both have pretty bad anger issues.
SHE CAN BREATHE UNDERWAAAATTTEEERRRRR I believe she can ok?
For a long time after Hands Of Time she hates the way she looks because of how much she looks like her mom.
Still holds a heavy resentment against their parents, because even though it wasn't their choice to leave, them and Kai still had to grow up alone.
Fucking hates the taste of cinnamon.
Has time blindness, but only after un-merging with the ocean. She became disoriented and confused about the passage of time after being the ocean for so long.
Sometimes they still feel pulled back to the water.
Best friends with Cole (I believe this one wholeheartedly)
ADHD
Lloyd- he/they nonbinary, aroace
Has insomnia, and a sleepwalking problem when he can get to sleep.
Looked fairly human when he was young, but as he got older, his Oni and Dragon features started showing more.
The feelings he felt for Harumi was mostly confusion because she was the first girl he got close to that didn't have what felt like an 'older sister' role in his life.
Really likes bugs.
Has auditory processing disorder.
Their body doesn't regulate temperature regularly.
Religiously watches iceberg videos.
Likes wearing more loose fitting, baggy clothing.
High-empathy autistic.
Kai- he/him transman, bisexual
He and Nya both have pretty bad anger issues.
He likes occasionally dressing femininely, but usually decides against it because he’s afraid people won’t take him seriously.
HIS ASS IS NOT THE DESIGNATED DRIVER
Has burn scars that go pretty far up his arms due to his own elemental power.
Extremely high body heat, has to wear gloves to avoid burning people at the touch.
Has a pretty bad memory due to constant concussions (his ass got beat to shit CONSTANTLY)
Was stealth trans for a while, because he wanted people to take him seriously, but stopped caring after a while and is extremely open about his identity.
Has a deep paranoia that he’s going to hurt the people he cares about, and is constantly over correcting at ever little mistake.
ADHD
Cole- he/they, gay ace grey-aro
After the events of DOTD he has to use a mobility aid for a while while he gets accustomed to having a body again.
Body-image issues.
He feels like he’s supposed to be in charge of keeping everyone safe.
Best friends with Nya and Vania (I believe in this one SO hard.)
He loves cooking, and is very defensive about it. NOBODY is allowed in the kitchen while he's cooking (except Nya she's his taste tester).
Has constant night terrors and has a very detailed sleep routine to avoid them.
Super good with kids.
Girls girl (gender neutral).
OCD + ADHD.
Zane- they/them agender, panromantic ace
Will sometimes pick up little crafts or projects, jack of all trades type vibe.
Is actually SUPER up to date with every single internet trend or meme.
Can't taste (bc they're a nindroid...) but fr thought for years that all food just had no taste until the robot reveal and they're like 'ohh'
Has constantly wildly shifting morals.
Genuinely the scariest of the group, sometimes freaking out everyone else. This makes them sad. They present themselves in such a way to make them approachable.
Has a tendency to blame themself when everything goes wrong.
Refuses to talk about their feelings to anyone else, bottling it up.
Autistic.
Pixal- any pronouns agender, unlabeled ace
Runs every single online forum about the ninja, none of them know.
Always has to feel useful, or she gets stressed out easily.
Listens to podcasts when he works.
Wildly defensive.
Felt a little unworthy of the Samurai X title when nobody knew it was them.
Low-empathy autistic.
Skylor- she/they, lesbian
True neutral (generally looks out for herself, doesn't really do things for the greater good, but for her own sake)
Doesn't remember her mom at all, she passed away when she was extremely young.
After the events of S4 she completely uprooted her life, changed literally everything about herself to disconnect herself from her father. Renamed the noodle shop, and completely rewrote the menu.
Makes most of her own clothes.
Picked up painting, is insanely good at it.
Slightly self destructive, constantly trying to distance themself from the ninja, but Kai always drags her back.
Realized her elemental power at a very young age, mostly because of her father.
BPD + CPTSD.
Vania- she/fae/it/he transwoman, lesbian aromantic
Very talkative.
Writes to Cole a lot (she has both a phone and his phone number it just likes writing to him).
Plays a lot of instruments, faer favorites being the harp and the violin.
Extremely anxious that she's not going to be a good queen, constantly overcorrecting.
Really indecisive and always changing his mind.
AuDHD
Harumi- she/he bigender, pansexual
Probably bites people.
Because of how sheltered she was with the royal family, she doesn't know a lot of basic life skills, and had to teach herself near everything she knows.
He did learn how to sew, and mends his own clothes.
Has albinism.
Always blaming her problems on other people, that being a product of the extreme pressure he was under when princess.
ADHD + CPTSD.
Sora- she/they/various neos transfem, lesbian
Always has to be busy, or she will start spiraling.
Wildly protective of Arin.
Was constantly getting into fights in the early days of living in the crossroads, very quickly learned they'd have to constantly fight to survive.
Talks about xer childhood like 'haha yeah it be how it be :)' and everyone listening is completely horrified.
Views everyone she meets as a threat until they prove they aren't.
Really likes reading, her favorite genre being sci-fi.
Does some creative writing, but has never shown anyone her writing.
Love language is quality time.
Since realizing their elemental power, she's had a tremor in her hands. She hates it.
Low-empathy autistic + OCD.
Arin- he/they transmasc, unlabeled aroace
Love language is physical touch.
Is always completely down to prank people, a devious little guy.
Nearsighted, but doesn't ever mention it because he doesn't know.
rushed here bc i saw u did angst AND ninjago so like you are my saviour lol
can you do lloyd x male reader (romantic preferable but if you’d rather do platonic w/ lloyd that is alright :)) with the reader who takes like a big hit for lloyd from an attack which wouldve killed lloyd but since reader took it,,,,,, yeahhhhhh
have a good day / night :)
☆ANGST! LLOYD X MALE! READER☆
Tumblr media
-------------- ☆
"sharing all your secrets with each other,
since you were kids.
sleeping soundly with the locket that (s)he gave you,
clutched in your fist."
-------------- ☆
summary: you and lloyd were on a mission together, thinking you guys could handle it, just the two of you. but it seems you two needed back up. while lloyd was trying to fight for himself, you saw a stone warrior pointing its crossbow right at him. you had to protect him. so, you took the hit.
pronouns: lloyd he/him, reader he/him.
trope(?): angst, childhood best friends to lovers, dying in your loved ones embrace.
warnings/head's up: no capital letters, lloyd calling you pet names(minty, sweetie, sweetheart), reader is also a child in a teenager's body, the reader can summon portals, major character death, violence, a very long flashback
author's notes: !!! i feel very flattered, anon! also i'm so sorry for making him call reader really corny per names,, but like. he kind of would lol… sorry for taking so long! writing action is pretty hard for me,, thank you for your request!
-------------- ☆
"hey, minty? it's getting pretty late. we should go back." lloyd said as he put a hand on your shoulder. "yeah, this was a pretty slow day. come on! let's go!" you said as you took his hand and started to make your way to the monastery. after a few minutes of walking and a few random conversations, rain clouds started to form.
"huh, rain clouds are starting to form too.. let's go faster! don't want anyone to be worried!" lloyd stated as he gently squeezed your hand. now walking faster, you guys started to manifest to be at the monastery before the rain started. during your way, you both heard noises from behind some trees. you and lloyd looked at each other with a worried expression, and you both went into a battle stance. "what do you think those sounds are from?" you whispered into your lover's ear, "i have no clue.. just be ready." lloyd whispered back. you guys looked all around, seeing that nothing will probably come out, you guys calmed down. "huh, maybe it was just a-" you said as lloyd's voice cut you off, "[reader]! behind you!" you whipped your head to see a stone warrior behind you, swinging its sword. you quickly duck right before it hits you, and you hit its legs with yours, causing it to fall down. "lloyd! look!" you said pointing towards the group of stone warriors on their way to get the both of you. "i don't think we can do this alone! let's go home!" you explained towards your lover, but, because he is a child in a teen's body, he replied "no! we can do this! i believe.. no! i know we can!" he said as he started shooting green energy towards the stone warriors. "lloyd, you know that won't work! let's go home." you started to sound a bit annoyed at his ignorance, but lloyd still wouldn't listen.
the stone warriors are starting to attack the two of you, because you didn't want to leave lloyd alone, you fought back. raindrops started to fall and you could hear some thunder. you could make a portal to a void but that could take all of your energy. but you don't want lloyd to die, right? so you tried to make a portal, it wasn't too big but it's just enough for the stone warriors to fit in it. you felt weak in yours knees and you felt like you could pass out in a few seconds. "[reader]!" lloyd exclaimed as looked at you in fear. "lloyd… just.. just lure them in..!" you said as you breathe heavily. and lloyd quickly obliged. he pushed and pushed the stone warriors in the portal, until they were all gone.
that's what you both thought.
"heh.. hah! we did it, dear!" lloyd said as he hugged you tightly, his warm embrace, his voice, it makes you melt. "yeah but, don't be so.. sure next time! like, we couldn't have done that if.. i dunno! just, be careful next time." you said as you hugged him back, snuggling into the crook of his neck. after a while, you guys eventually let go."come on, love. let's go home." you said as you took his hand and cupped his cheek, which he leaned in your touch. it was cold in the rain. as you left your focus on lloyd to look at your surroundings, you saw a stone warrior.
it seemed to point their crossbow at lloyd and it was about to pull the trigger. your eyes widened and your warm expression is replaced with a shocked and worried one. "lloyd! watch out!" without thinking, you went in front of the stone warrior.
and you took the shot.
before you could even react, lloyd quickly pushed the stone warrior into the portal behind it. you looked down and saw you were shot in the stomach. and then you could actually feel the pain. you grunted and fell to your knees, then on all fours, then just, laying on the mud. "no.. no, no, no, no, no!" lloyd shouted as he went straight to your body. he held your head on his hand and he held your hand with the other, squeezing it. he put your hand on his face and tears started to form, "you can't..! you.. can't leave me too… please.. we still have time to go to the monastery! please stay with me!" he said as he leaned into your touch. "i… i don't think.. we have that much time... love." you said as you closed your eyes, tears falling down your face. seeing this makes his heart break, but seeing your warm smile still on your face as you gently hold his cheek makes his heart break into more pieces than before. "no! you can't leave me! i-" "do you remember.. the locket… you gave me..?" you cut him off with your weak voice as you look at him with loving eyes. lloyd squeezes your hand even tightly, waterfalls of his tears falling down his face. he nodded weakly as he sobbed heavily remembering the first time he met you.
it was a normal day for lloyd, he sneaked out to go to the comic store, doomsday comix. when he opened the door, he saw you in front of his face. you guys were pretty close to each other, you wanting to push the door while lloyd pulled the door first. "oh, uhm.. sorry." you said as a bright red blush creeped on your face, "no, no. it's okay!" he said while he saw the comic you had in your hand. "is that the new starfarer comic?! is.. it already sold out..?" lloyd gasped as he went in the comic store. "uh.. yeah, this is the new one. and i think it is sold out? i actually got this for free. i won a competition on fifth place, and they gave me a free comic coupon. i didn't really have any interest in the comics here.." you said as you started to ponder a bit. "you know what? here." you said as you give the comic book to him. lloyd looked at you with stars in his eyes and he took the comic book. "wow! my name's lloyd by the way! thank you so much!" he said as he hugged the comic tightly. "hi, lloyd! i'm [reader]! wanna be friends?" you chuckled lightly. and of course, he said yes.
after two months of being best friends, lloyd gave you a heart locket. inside, it has a picture of you and him having a fun time. one night, you went to doomsday comix to give lloyd a present in return. but instead you got into a pretty big mess involving the grundal, some.. tea making you older. it was an interesting night, but i guess you have to sacrifice some stuff to save the city. ever since then, you and lloyd had some.. connections. and after a few months, you guys came together. being "the cutest boyfriends ever" according to nya. and here you are now, bleeding in his arms.
"lloyd.." you called his name softly, "yes, sweetheart?" he replied as he calmed down from his sobs. "i'm really happy to be here with you.. thank you." you started to lose your breath, your vision started to blur. lloyd stroked your hair as he looked at you dearly with tears in his eyes, "thank you too, [reader]. i'm happy you came into my life.. goodnight, minty." you closed your eyes as the rain stopped.
"i love you.."
Aitheris | A Ninjago Au
This is one of my favourite episodes in the season, I love the music and just everything was put together so well! Also more art in the middle of the chapter if you want to see!
Chapter 4: Ninja Roll
Thunder bellowed outside the palace, a rough storm by the looks of it, it made Vayu's worries melt away. She loved the rain, everyone did at home, it used to be such a big deal when it rained but now it happens all the time.
However, what she enjoyed most about the storm was todays battle, Skyler was fighting and her opponent couldn't have been more perfect for the occasion.
"Skyler, Master of Amber, versus Jacob, Master of Sound." Chen announced as Jacob began to play his instrument, "Fight! Fight!"
Skyler slowly moved her spear in a circling motion, "Eenie, meenie, minie, mo," she said, her voice becoming more and more stern as she continued, "catch a Jade Blade by its toe!"
Skylar launched the spear into a vase, no Jade Blade, however Vayu knew she would find it soon. Vayu coiled her tail around herself, now that everyone knew there was no point in hiding it anymore, she was always more comfortable in her dragon form.
Her eyes fixated on the fight below before yelps and grumbles could be heard from the people beside her, Kai, the sloppy fire ninja was making his way over to his friends. Vayu did not intend to sit beside the ninja, it was the only place where she could be in her form and get a good view.
she could hear the ninja bickering about something before Kai jumped up, half leaning over the railing he yelled, "SLYLER IS FIGHTING!?"
"What's got him so exited?" Garmadon asked.
"He had a crush on her," Jay nearly chuckled, "but then he found out they might be related."
Vayu hearing this growled, "they are not related you idiots, she is the Master of Amber."
They shot a few odd glances at Vayu, she sighed remembering how no one could even understand her, Skyler barely did, and they have known each other for years.
Vayu zoned out for a bit, only to come back when the crowd cheered as Skyler held up the Jade Blade.
"YES! Go Skyler!" Vayu and Kai said in unison, Vayu's roar clearly rising above the ninja's as Chen sent the Master of Sound falling to his assumed death, poor little guy.
Vayu desperately wanted to go join Skyler, most people would be able to wait to go see their friend, but Skylar was different than most people to Vayu. The two over time have formed a sisterly bond, something Vayu had never gotten to experience in a long time, ever since he left us.
"But then in yesterday's battle," Master Chen shouted, tossing the plate of gems and gold over his shoulder and breaking Vayu out of her trance, "Master Jay and Cole tried to undermine me, by teaming up, and refusing to fight each other. For their insubordination, all of your fancy quarters will be taken away. together all of you must sleep in the chow house! that is all. Thank you, you can go."
"nice one Jay," Kai bickered as people began to leave. "Easy there Romeo!" Jay lashed back as Vayu leaned her tail over the railing, allowing Skyler to join them.
"are you okay?" Vayu asked her, Skyler nodded and began to walk out with the others, Vayu followed and the ninja kept not to far behind them, she could hear Lloyd trying to keep their team together. She felt a slight bit of sorrow for the team before brushing it off, it didn't matter, what matters is stopping Chen once she could, but how would she do that? its not like she could rush over and bite his head off, not only would the guards kill her afterwards, but the Elemental Masters would likely try and stop her too, Lloyd would try and talk her out of it and- UGH! What was she thinking!? she doesn't even have proper evidence! She would have to wait till a later day to figure that out, for now she was ready for sleep.
Vayu sighed happily as she left the building, the weight on her chest lifted as she tilted her head up to the sky, the joyous feeling as the rain washed over her, soaking into her pelt was overwhelmingly amazing, she missed the rain.
her joy was quickly snapped away however as she needed to turn back in order to go inside, she stepped into the building, sending a gust of wind throughout it drying everyone off as they were lead to their quarters, she formed back into a dragon and coiled up in the corner, Skyler soon joining her as her pelt was much more comfortable that any of the makeshift beds. Vayu's tail wrapped around Skyler as the tip acted as a blanket, she rested her head down, slowly falling into a deep sleep.
BANG BANG BANG!
Vayu snaped awake, her head shooting up towards the sudden disturbance of noise as her tail protectively coiled around Skyler, her teeth bared as she let out a low hiss.
"Good morning fighters! oh wait- it the middle of the night," Clouse said with an ere grin on his face, Kabuki came out from behind him, one for each person in the room.
one came over to Vayu, a confused look on her face before she asked for Vayu to turn back, Vayu did as the Kabuki tied roller skates onto her feet, Vayu had never been on roller skates before, as she slipped and quickly grabbed onto Skyler, who helped her up.
Vayu's mind was on staying upright until she hear her friend ask, "If most of us have already fought, why are we all in skates?"
"Only two of you will be fighting," Clouse smiled, "but the rest of you have a chance to affect the outcome."
"Who's fighting? Tell us now," Griffen demanded.
Clouse waved his hands calling all the kabuki back, "The Green Ninja vs the Master of Form."
. . .
Vayu held onto Skylar, she was starting to get used to skates, she could get used to most things quite easily, her mind was elsewhere though, seen how powerful the Green Ninja is, if Chen were to steal his power it would be the end of ever being able to stop him. if Chen stole Chamille's power, he could look like anyone, being able to find each and every person's secrets within a matter of days.
Vayu had already decided who she would fight for, she always had a way around one problem, but not the other.
Chen went on to explaining the rules, then came time to choose teams, most of the masters' joined Chamille, including Skyler.
"Skyler please join me," Vayu begged as she held onto her best friend, "please I dont want to fight you."
"we need to get the more powerful people out," Skyler said, "you may think you can beat Lloyd in a fight, but the chances I could are slim Vayu, even you know that."
Skyler rolled off to her team as Vayu rolled off to hers, finally getting used to the skates.
"Thanks for your help," Lloyd said, noticing Vayu's disappointed look as she strayed away from her best friend.
"Anything to make sure my power isn't stolen by that monster," she replied, as she got ready.
Next thing she knew she was skating around the arena, passing the Jade Blade to Lloyd a couple of times as they continued completing laps. however with the amount of people fighting them, and the fact that one of their members was utterly useless on skates, the clock and the score were against them.
Suddenly a large vehicle zoomed past her, she quickly noticed the line of people on the back as she grabbed them, causing most of them to fall. They continued, round and round and round they went, the clock was getting close to 0 and Lloyd would clearly loose, then an idea struck her.
"What am I even doing!?" Vayu hissed as she ripped off her skates and turned into a dragon, she leapt forwards sprinting towards the Green Ninja, grabbing him and carrying him on her shoulders.
They were making plenty of laps but not enough against the clock, Kai waved his arms at Vayu as she flew by him, she picked him up as well, seating himself behind Lloyd.
"We should just tell them what's happening with Chen!" he yelled over the wind, "if they knew what was going on clearly they would help us right?"
They all agreed, it was worth a try, nothing else could go wrong right? Vayu Spotted Skyler, dropping Kai off next to her, She watched as the blue and red ninja talked with the others, it seemed like they were willing to join their side. The others stole the Jade Blade from Chamille from time to time, allowing Lloyd to finally catch up, when suddenly she felt immense pain from her arm as she wacked something away, looking down she could see the blue blood start to drip from the wound as she tripped and fell, feeling something by her feet.
Tumblr media
looking ahead Lloyd and Chamille raced for the finish line as the timer reached its last moments, closer and closer and NOW! they both crossed as the buzzer sounded, the two panted as they looked at one another, before Lloyd lifted his Jade Blade high in the air with triumph. Chamille looked around, "She doesn't have her blade!" Jay exclaimed.
"looking for something?" Vayu asked Chamille as she walked over, her head high with pride as she held the blade under her arm while she grasped at her injured one, the tip of the blade lightly coated in blue blood.
They all cheered and laughed in victory, Vayu looked over to see Skyler celebrating, she was happy for her friend but why didn't she come over and help her, maybe Vayu was being a bit too clingy. she winced as she handed the Jade Blade back, the pain in her arm almost unbearable, they were all sent back to the chow house, Skyler getting settled in her own bed on the other side of the room, upset by this Vayu turned back into a dragon, cleaning the wound out. Although it was common knowledge that dragon saliva can be used to help close any wounds back at home, it apparently was not here as she saw Lloyd giving her an odd look as she turned back into a human, resting her head on the window sill, looking up at the sky.
If she stayed still for the rest of the night, it should be nothing but a scrape in the morning considering the depth of the cut, however she knew that wouldn't happen as she rolls around in her sleep. Vayu was cut out of her thoughts once again however as she saw Lloyd standing behind her holding a medical kit.
Vayu looked at him confused as he took out some bandages and wrapped them around her arm, quietly whispering what he was doing at each step.
"I- um... Thanks," Vayu said confused.
"anytime," Lloyd smiled, "it's the least I can do."
"hm," Vayu started to lightly smile, "I'm surprised you even took the time to consider that."
"surprised!?" Lloyd questioned, "I honestly dont even know why Chen or someone else didn't bandage you up earlier. I thought someone would rush over as soon as you got hurt."
"perhaps its because they believe that my dragon form has more pain tolerance or I could do it myself."
"I doubt it, even if they think that its still better to help so it gets better faster."
"hmm."
Lloyd yawned, "well we better go to bed now, unless you want to pull an all-nighter, goodnight Vayu."
"Night Lloyd," Vayu said as she turned into a dragon, coiling up into a ball as she could faintly hear the waves lapping against the stone beach not to far away, and the wind lightly flick at the leaves of nearby trees as Vayu slowly fell asleep.
Ninjago Spinjitzu Brothers:
—Forest of Illusions—
Chapter 2
Loud thunder echos through the sky and into the cave and one of the brothers are scared awake by it. "AHH-!" Garmadon yelled. Startled and stood up from the ground and looked at his brother, who was sound asleep. "How can Wu sleep through this storm?" He asked himself. But then lightning struck right outside the cave and Garmadon looked over and his eyes went wide. He saw a figure standing right where the lightning struck. "WHOSE THERE?!" Garmadon yelled. but the figure didn't reply. "WHO ARE YOU?!" Garmadon yelled once more. Grabbing his Sword and walking towards the figure. The figure was tall but Garmadon couldn't make out who it was. The figure then started to run away as he got closer. "HEY! GET BACK HERE." Garmadon cried.  Running after the figure in the dead of night, during a bad thunder storm. Wu then wakes up, looking outside of the cave and seeing that it's morning now and the storm has cleared away. "Good morning, brother!" Wu said. stretching his body after just waking up, but he heard no reply from his brother. Wu thought to himself *maybe he's still asleep?* but once he looked over to where Garmadon was, he didn't see anything but his pack. "Garmadon?" Wu said. With a worried look on his face. *where did he go? He couldn't of left without me, right?* Wu thought to himself. Standing up and grabbing his pack and putting it on. He then walked outside of the cave and looked around to see if his brother was out there. But he saw no sign of him. "GARMADON!" Wu yelled out. He waited for awhile but he didn't reply. "What if something happened to Garmadon while I was asleep?!" He cried. And beginning to painck at the thought of something bad happening to his brother during night. "He's gotta be close. He couldn't of gone to far, right?!" Wu questioned. Running off into the forest, "GARMADON!" Wu cried. All throughout the forest, he searched for his brother but had no signs of him. *I can't believe I lost my own brother!* he thought to himself, but before Wu could call out for his brother again, Something came out from behind the bushes. And Wu held his staff out ready to fight if needed. A person then walks out from the bushes, dusting themselves off, And then running into Wu then falling over. "Gah-" they cried. Wu quickly let go of his staff and held his hand out to the person. "Sorry! I wasn't meaning to knock you over, sir." Wu said. The stranger looked at Wu and took his hand, "Its alright!" He said. Wu then pulled him up. "If you don't mind me asking sir, have you seen anyone else around here? Maybe another boy with brown hair, a purple bandana and dark theme clothes?" Wu asked. "Umm. I haven't seen anyone around here except you." He replied, *Wu thought to himself some more wondering if something bad did happen to Garmadon or if he really did leave without him* "well thank you anyways sir." Wu said. Smiling at the stranger then picking his staff back up and continuing to search for his brother through the forest. "You don't wanna go through there!" The strangers voice calls out. Wu turned around to look at him. "Why?" He asked. "That's the forest of illusions." The stranger replied, "Forest of illusions?" Wu asked. In a confused but curious tone. "Yeah. Its more dangerous then it sounds! The illusions can really play tricks with the mind. Trust me I know. But stepping foot in there is not wise at all." The stranger said. Wu looked at the forest then to the stranger, "My brother is missing and he could be in there! I have to find him." "Going in there alone is even more dangerous." The stranger replied. "You seem to know about this forest quite a bit. Could you help me find my brother?" Wu asked. The stranger looked at the forest for a bit, then turned towards Wu and sighed. "I-I guess I can. But I can't promise that we will make it out okay." He said. "Thank you. I'm Wu!" Wu said. Smiling at the man.
Favrile and Archie meeting how would that go?
((OP this is very much so self indulgent since its 100% ninjago OCs interacting, haha.
"Oh heck no!" Archie ran to grab the faucet sprayer. "Step any closer to me and I wont hesitate to shoot! What does a ghost want with me anyway?!"
The conductor politely fixed his hat, "Sorry sir, I was just curious to see what came of my model train. I should have guessed he gave it away."
Archie followed his gaze to the high shelf of knickknacks; trains, boats, fish and rocks lined the livingroom ceiling around its perimeter. "I *inhereited* that from my father, who said he got it from his. Whoever had it before is long gone now pal, and you will be to if you're not careful!"
"I *made* that for my son, its the 'thunder bird', fastest locomotive to run on steam at the time. Heh, made the real one too."
He reassessed the predicament. On one hand, ghosts can be cunning and tricky, especially ones with sharp teeth, but on the other it seemes that this ghost really meant no harm outside of tresspassing. Putting the sprayer back, Archie filled up a cup of water and cautiously stepped closer. The look of the spirit seemed somewhat familiar to him, but from where exactly was fuzzy. Was it an old newspaper cutting, or some story his father told him that he brushed off? Or perhaps it was from an old photo in the photo album?
"What was your sons name?"
"Richard. Smart kid, frankly I couldn't tell you what he looks like." Favrile said with some regret.
Archie glared, "That was the... Gramps?!"
Favrile flinched and looked at himself, "oh come now I don't look that old, do I?"
He pinched his nose, "No I mean, ugh. Okay, we're related, that's fine because it makes sense. What I want to know right now is, are you attached to that thing and just have been hiding this whole time or did I somehow summon you in my sleep?"
"Oh no no," he laughed, "Im just visitng. I was helping this guy named Dareth out of the departed realm and was transported with him, and decided that while I was here I would look around."
"WH-" He caught himself on the wall before he could fall over in bewilderment, "What the hell was my brother doing in the afterlife?! Hello?!"
20 Questions for Fanfic Writers
How many works do you have on A03?
As of writign this 36
2. What's your total A03 word count?
132,974
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Just LU LOZ right now, but I've written stuff for a few fandoms in the past which I don't think will ever see the light of day. Maybe the Star Wars ones?
I've got Star wars (Including Rebels and the Clone Wars), Destiny (The game), FFXIV, Ninjago and Borderlands for those interested. Many are past fandom involvements but I still have the books around.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
They are as follows
Five days, Five months, Five minutes, Five years (660 Kudos)
A Gift of Silence (165 Kudos)
Unravelling (163 Kudos)
Channeling Starlight (133 Kudos)
The following two are tied for kudos in the 5th slot
Thunderous Consequence's (128 Kudos)
Struggles in the aftermath (128 kudos)
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I actively try to respond to every comment I receive. I love interacting with people and getting to talk about my stories with the people who read them is amazing.
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
If we go with completed stories. Probably Would you lie with me and just forget the world?, written during whumptober. But I write so much angst it's hard to pick. Made to watch is definitely up there.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
This one is again a toss-up between a few stories. But I'm gonna say Five days, Five months, Five minutes, Five years. We love the reuniting thing. It warms the heart.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I've had some really mean stuff said in the past. But nothing on the LOZ fics. Which are the ones I care about now. But it's why my more... Serious Fics have comment moderation.
9. Do you write smut?
No, I dont know if I ever will, the idea of writing it makes me uncomfortable?
10. Do you write crossovers?
I've attempted in the past but only for my own personal use. They won't ever see the light of day. Maybe I'll try again someday.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I know of?
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Not that I know of.
13 Have you ever co-written a fic before?
I have. With the wonderful @uniquevoidflowers, Me and her are in co-writing of a story known as Taking Notice. And I know it's my turn for a chapter. (Sorry uni I'll get there eventually!)
14 What's your all-time favourite ship?
I'm not too sure, I really like Modern AU Raviloli and GroZeLink. They are both really cute ships.
15 What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I dont know... Im a little stuck on the rest of the homesick series, The two passages I've got as work in progress are called "Soup is the window to the soul" and "Temple Run". I just don't know if I'll ever get back around to them. Homesick does kinda work as a stand-alone. So I'm not sure.
16 What are your writing strengths?
I dont know. I really struggle with identifying something I'm good at. Uhh. Bullying my blorbos?
17 What are your writing weaknesses?
Scene building and character movements. I feel as if my scenes are very static. Like I know how I want them to look, but just getting the picture in my head onto paper is something I am weaker at, and hope to improve going into the new year.
18 Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
Yes. Yes. Yes. I love it. I just get worried cause I don't speak any other languages so I get worried that I'd get something wrong when translating it.
19 First fandom you wrote for?
Star wars Rebels
20 Favourite fic you've ever written?
Honestly, I really dont know.
I'm gonna say Unravelling because I'm really proud of it. It's really important to me. :)
Edit:
Free tags :D Feel free to play along
20 questions for fic writers
Tagged by @the-real-azalea-scroggs! Had to wait until I was of my phone because doing these is a nightmare on mobile lmao
1. How many works do you have on A03?
18 as of a few days ago!
2. What's your total A03 word count?
60,763! Which is. Only a fraction of the word count in my Docs folder. Be prepared.
3. What fandoms do you write for?
I mainly write for The Legend of Zelda; specifically Linked Universe! In fact, that's all that's posted on my Ao3 currently, since my fall into that fandom began with me uploading there! Pre-Ao3 I wrote for Black Cat (Anime/Manga), Megaman NT Warrior, various Pokémon things, Assassin's Creed, Yugioh, Final Fantasy XIV and Octopath Traveler! Some of these I still write privately, but I haven't gotten around to re-posting any.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
Whistling on Deaf Ears - My longest fic on Ao3, focusing on Wild and Twilight's friendship and how good intentions can lead to disaster.
Iconoclasm - Warriors deals with the room full of portraits in Cia's palace. The Chain also deals with it, but with a bit more fire.
Deserving - Twilight finally tells Rusl that he was the wolf in the village during TP, but that also means dealing with some heavier topics. Colin half overhears them and forms his own conclusions.
Something Greater - The start of the "Hyrule can see magical auras" series! In this one we deal with Legend and his many rings.
Ocean Magic - Mermaid Legend and Zora Time have a race and then fight one of the Big Octos from WW! Fun times.
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Every single one!! I love comments, they give me an excuse to ramble about my fic more!! I am always down to ramble about every single insignificant detail of any line and/or section. If you ever want more background info about one of my fics, look to the comments! So please, I adore comments, I treat them like treasures, not responding to them would be a CRIME.
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
There's no contest; Inevitable, my (so far) only MCD fic.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Hmmm, that's hard to quantify. I usually try to end fics on a hopeful note regardless. I'd say possibly either Deserving, where Twilight reconnects with his family, or Shimmering Blue, Striking White, where Time meets the Fierce Deity settled down on Satori Mountain and they both get closure.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Thankfully, no! I've been blessed with mostly amazing and patient readers, even when my upload schedule isn't the best.
9. Do you write smut?
No, not really. I've attempted it, but I'm too asexual for it lol
10. Do you write crossovers?
Very, very rarely. Mostly privately, and only very specific ones. Only a single one has had an actual plot, so far (more on that one in question 15!).
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Nope!
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Also a nope! I tend to write for smaller fandoms, where these things don't tend to happen a lot!
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
I have! But it's been a while. Over a decade, in fact! I tried to find the fic to link it here, but it was on the German fanfic website fanfiktion.de, and my friend who posted it back then must have deactivated her account, because it's nowhere to be seen (I still have the Word file though!). It was a Multi-Crossover that started as an RP in a forum, and we took turns turning the RP into prose one chapter each. "If a Hero Turns to Dark" was its title. We were edgy teenagers.
14. What's your all-time favourite ship?
Hissssss. Bad question. Shoo. They are all equally important!! But it's probably TenRose from Doctor Who.
15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
One of the very few crossovers I've ever worked on; a crossover fic between Assassin's Creed and Doctor Who, that I have mapped out in both chronological and timeline order, and yes, those are different. I only ever wrote about a quarter of it, since my primary audience of it disappeared when we graduated. I doubt I'll ever pick it back up properly, and if I do it'll probably go through heavy rewrites first since it's so old. Finishing it is a nice thought, but realistically, after 9 years it'll never be high priority enough for it to actually happen.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Dialogue, especially arguments, and emotional impact. I've been told I do really well making characters feel alive and believable! Also I like to believe I'm decent at setting a scene and giving it the vibe I want it to have!
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I struggle with dialogue tags when nothing much is happening besides the talking. I always feel it's too bland, and fall back on the same phrases. My scene transitions could use some work too.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I've done this with Japanese phrases, because I was a massive weeb. Usually I followed them up with their own translations, though; I'm not the biggest fan of footnote translations, unless they are properly linked to. Simple dialogue tags are my favourite way of indicating a language switch.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Black Cat the Manga/Anime! It's a series about an assassin turned bounty hunter trying to live a life separate from his murdery past, but getting dragged back into things by still wanting to avenge his best friend's death. The series has a special place in my heart and my bookshelf, it left an imprint on 13-year-old me that will never leave.
20. Favourite fic you've ever written?
Probably Jailbreak, uncharacteristically enough! It's one of the only fics I never got stuck in once. Writing it was a great feeling from start to finish. I love writing all of my fics, but that was a special few days.
Tagging @ahrva @nowhere-to-go-but-down @silvercaptain24 and @aeghina! And anyone who wants to do it, really, go wild
